This is the second dress I made, for my boyfriend's mom - she wore it to a Gorfest (OLRP festival) to represent her character, Vika.

Materials were Satin and Home Dec fabric from Joann's.
Total construction time: 24 hours.

eek eek Cool....

sweatdrop sweatdrop well, the thing i've got isn't as great as everyone elses, but it was my first sewing project..

halloween costume of a gypsy. the only thing i didn't make is the half bodice (does that disqualify me?)

I love making costumes.

Did that for a Ren-Faire. Was hit on. Lots. Was proposed to... twice? Yeah, twice.

Stupid glowingness of the picture, you can't see a lot of the detail. I had a pattern for the pants, and the top and skirt I made myself.

Yeah. I was half-naked, basically. It was fun.

Also for Ren-Faire. My mom made the brown underskirt. I made the overskirt and the bodice out of drapes from an antique shop. The shirt I had in my dress-up bin, and I cut the ruffles so that they would drape right. Unfortunately, the bodice got some rips in it during the faire, as it was hastily constructed and the drapes were old and didn't hold up too well. I really liked it, though. The halter-top bodice was fun, as it allowed me to have my back painted with a fun henna thingie. I got a discount, too, because they really liked my back.

I'm back, biotch!

Hmmm...people need to quit whining about how bad of a seamstress (or seamster) they are. If you can sew two pieces of cloth together, you are FAR better then most! 3nodding

I had pictures of what the updated Jessica costume looks like...but...I haven't as of yet put them on my compu. *shrug*

I knit also! smile I just finished a scarf not too long ago, and now I'm working on a pair of leg warmers for an outfit I'm wearing to Anime Detour.

Ohhh...fuzzy and warm.

I'll post picures when I can.

Here's my Trainer Rikku from final fantasy X-2 I wore this to Akon 15.

I have several pictures up now.

The legwarmer is part of one...^^;

It's been one of those days...

Wow. There is so much talent on here. I adore all the LARP and Ren Fest Costumes. They look so complicated. Wow. Lolitas and Rikkus and Legwarmers! OH MY!

I'm still working on my Hawkgirl Costume. I hope to start on the wings tomorrow. But first I have to read the safety instructions on the heat gun -and- find my PVC pipe. How does one lose PVC pipe, you ask? I'm not entirely sure myself.

I know what you mean, I'm in awe of most of these costumes! I only wish there were more cosplay events where I am so I'd have an excuse to dress up, at the moment I only have Halloween!

That is utterly fantastic! What did you use to make the headpiece?

Good luck with the wings, please post a pic when you finish them.
