Vampire Costume
This was my halloween costume this past year. I made the cloak from scratch (gawd, was that fabric a slippery b***h!). The black shirt was just a simple black shirt I owned. The bodice was a stretch-velvet cami I had which I altered by adding the piping, loops, and chain. The necklace was a piece of black satin ribbon onto which I sewed crystals and hematite beads. (my chin is hiding most of it...) Unseen in this photo (I'll see if I can find a decent full-body shot) are the skirt (bought), which falls to just above the knee and is black with a snakeskin texture and slit up the left side, fishnet stockings (bought), upper-arm-length black gloves (bought), and high-heeled, point-toed black suede boots that laced up the front (bought). Also not visible in the picture are the red moon charms on one end of the chain.
And before you ask, no I'm not all white because of the flash. That's makeup. And I know the false teeth are yellow. You couldn't tell from the package when I bought them (opaque packaging is evil), and once opened I couldn't return them.
While this wasn't the first time I did my own costume, it's one of the ones I've put the most effort into. (the kilt doesn't count, I'll get pics of that eventually.) Your thoughts?
EDIT: ok, I found pictures of both the full costume and the necklace. I warn you now, the full-body shot is a bad one, but it gives you the general gist of the rest of the costume.
Full Body
(the hood kept slipping because it was a silky fabric, and my hair's naturally incredibly silky... bad bad BAD combination... it would NOT stay under the hood, all 4 feet of it...)
