Well folks I'm going to be going to my first Con this fall, and I thought 'what the f**k, why not be a total gaia f** and dress to match my avi?'

The outfit I'm going to be trying to match will be based around the Chai tea time waitress dress. Ya' know the one that was a runner up in the item contest?

I was wondering if anyone had any patterns for similar dresses, or any other ideas to make it easier on me.

It looks like a collared shirt dress... pleated capped sleeves with a pleated skirt. and then an apron shirt over it. like a tanktop with a circle apron in the front with a bow to tie in the back so the top part kinda bunches/bubbles over it. And then the tie, of course. But that's rather obvious :3

So, you'll need a collared shirt pattern... and a pleated skirt pattern... connect them... (lol) then get like a white tanktop and sew a circle to it with a dark grey sash on the seam and to the edge of the shirt on the back... for the pleated caps, or ruffled... whatever it is... make a peice that looks like this:

and just sew the CURVED edge to the armhole. not even all around... just on top. but bunch it up first. the curved side. just throw a running stitch through it... or machine stitch... and pull the thread (the top thread if you are machine sewing it)

That's how I'd do it.

You don't have to do it that way.

Oh, and I'd put a zipper in the back of the grey shirt/dress/part w.e. so the front can be flat without buttons or anything.

HAHAHAHAHA.

Thank you. ^.^

I didn't even notice that there was an apron piece until you pointed it out.
