ooc: Oh hai, I forgot to mention this is taking place during the summer so we can avoid school. Sorreh D:

A pair eye's fluttered open revealing two dark brown irises, only to close again since those eye's weren't adjusted to the light. The owner of said eyes grumbled, pulling the her covers over her head and squished her eyes shut tighter before prying them open again. This time, the material of her blanket diffusing the harsh light of the sun. But other than that, then being under the covers still laid motionless, not really awake enough to move yet. Her eyes lazily gazed at the blanket adjusting to the light and focusing on the little tiny threads that made it up. Her half-asleep thoughts got interrupted though, as a voice called from behind her bed room door. "Noel, hunny, are you up yet?" her mind connected the voice instantly to her mom. "Yeah, yeah" the drowsy teenager grumbled from beneath her covers, having no intention from removing herself from her current state. Her ears picked up on the sound of the door opening, that quiet creak the had been there forever, or at least since Ellie's family moved there. Now, just exactly is "there"? On top the drug clinic her mom owned, so let's just say it wasn't always a quiet cozy home. But not any of the patients knew they lived up there, the door was locked, and none of them even knew where the hallway was that led to the door. In fact she was pretty sure only a couple of the workers there knew. Now, where were we? Oh yes, the door, which opened to reveal Noel's mom, on hand gripping the doorknob, the other on her hip, her shoulders leaning against the white painted wooden door. Her eyes rolled a bit as she saw her daughter was still buried in her bed, shaking her head a bit she headed over to the bed pulling the covers off in one felt swoop. "Time to wake up sun-shine" her mother called to Noel again, dropping the blanket at the end of her bed. Noel's response to this was to reach over for another pillow and chuck it half heartdly at her mother, who caught it with two hands. "I don't wanna get up" the brunette grumbled, her face buried in the pillow she was laying on. Her mother looked at the girl with exasperation, putting the pillow back on the bed and heading over to the blinds on her windows. Pulling the string so the light of the sun now flooded the room, her mother replied in a matter of fact voice,"Doesn't matter, you start working downstairs today." Oh yeah.. The whole partner program thing starts today.. she remembered. Slowly, her limbs started to function again, and she got out of bed her feet pressing on to the wooden floor. Smiling with accomplishment, her mother left the room, closing the door behind her, the sound of her footsteps drifting into another hall.

Ellie made her way to the small bathroom that was part of her room, the cold bathroom tiles shooting up icy spikes through the soles of her feet. Passing by the mirror, she saw her hair long hair was tangled like a bird's next, some of the roots feeling weird because they were parted the wrong way. Grabbing a brush, she tediously made her way through her locks, fixing her part so it was normal, no random pieces flopped the opposite way, and sighed in relief. Her hair was a lot of work, it was thick, and it was long, but she could never imagine cutting it. Besdies that, she left her curly tendrils alone, not one for anything complicate with her hair. Next she moved on to her makeup, which wasn't much. Noel generally went for a more natural look, only putting on mascara and some blush. After brushing her teeth, she headed out of the bathroom, doing a little twirl as she passed the door just for the heck of it, and since she was awake now. It was almost comical how fast she could go from someone who hated mornings to a morning person. Walking over to her closed she got out a blue dress and threw it over to her bed. After, she went to her wardrobe, and pulling open one of the draws got out a pair of dark gray leggings and hung them over her arm, then opened another draw and got out a clean pair of panties and bra. With the clothing items she just retrieved she went back to her band and began to strip herself of her pajamas, a over-sized tee-shirt and a pair of pajama shorts. She changed into her bra and panties, then pulled on the gray leggings followed by pulling the blue dress over her head. When she was clothed, she turned to her bed stand and turned on her iHome, and What Is Love by Nevershoutnever started playing. As the song started to play Elle started to dance her way over to her wardrobe again, mouthing the words to the song. She pulled open a draw full of socks and pulled two out, mis-matched, but who matches their socks anymore? Pulling open the top of one sock, she hopped on one foot as she pulled it on, then switched to the other foot while she pulled on the secound sock. When she had both socks on, she danced her way over to the door, then using the momentum to slide, her hands catching herself on the door frame. Looking down one way of the hallway, then flipping her head to look down the next, her wide brown eyes searched to see if either her step-father or mother was in sight. Not seeing either, she assumed her father was at work, and her mother in the kitchen.

Going with her assumption, Noel went down the hall way she looked down secound and headed towards the kitchen. When there, she was greeted by her mother who was having coffee and some special diet cereal. The cereal made Ellie's eyes roll, she didn't understand what was with middle-aged women and dieting, esepcially the ones that weren't out of shape like her mother.

Daisy's eyes were transfixed on the small white flower, her eyes observing every little detail of it. That was until her concentration got broken by a familiar voice, a voice that could make her feel like the world, and in a matter of seconds make it come crushing down, as she painfully learned tonight. She had known his presence was there for a few minutes, but she didn't move, what would she say to him? She didn't know, she was empty, she had nothing left in her. But when he spoke, they weren't harsh words, just ones of curiosity, asking about the flower she was holding. She didn't have it in her to look at him, so instead she turned herself around so she was leaning against the table ledge, and let her eyes stare distantly at the floor. She began to think about his question, she wasn't really sure of the answer at the moment, so she started to think to why she did have this flower. Why oh why.. she thought what a wonderful question. She let her eyes flick back to the flower, hoping staring at it would help her come up with an answer. She didn't want to talk much, so she wanted to come up with a short simple answer. Her eyes stared absently at the small flower, her voice seemed nearly lifeless.

"..Because I hate this game." she said.

And that simple statement, that five word sentence, it covered everything. It had been her saying for awhile, but she didn't use it around other people much, just when she was alone. Just for when the world seemed like to much, she'd remind herself how she hated this game. The 'game' was really everything and nothing, her life in general. Her dead mother, her lost connection with her father, the person she loved being ripped away from her, the fact that the three people who held the biggest pieces of her heart got ripped away from her one by one. And these simple words were really the only way to explain it, she was sure he wouldn't get if she explained her emptiness. In fact, she was sure what she said didn't make sense to him, but it probably wouldn't to anyone else would it?

She listened to what he was saying, noting how he was repeating somethings, probably due to the fact that Daisy was just flat out stubborn. It could come in handy, but it could also turn against you, she didn't know which it was doing right now. Through his whole speech she just wanted to yell at him, did he even know what he was saying? He thinks he's like some old chess piece, that can be forgotten and replaced..if I ******** thought that I wouldn't of done all that I've done. I wouldn't have told him I love him, I wouldn't have waited two years, I wouldn't be fighting or him with no hope right now she thought angrily Stupid. Blind. Ignorant were the words coming to her mind. Nothing much that he was saying was sinking in yet, it wasn't gripping her. She had earned to not let the things he say do that, in the end it always got her hurt, literally no exceptions. She noted that he moved a bit closer, an wondered what he was doing.

Then she heard the clatter, a hand fold of glinting stones hit the floor, fanning out over a bit of space. All the clear diamonds now were tinted with a bright crimson, and she lifted her eyes only a bit to see his bloody hand. Then his next words, those are the ones that killed her. "Well maybe it's time for you to find a new king." That one simple statement ripped her insides out from her, she almost wanted to throw up the sudden heart ache was so bad. Her eyes flicked up quickly as he walked out, then back down to the daimonds on the floor. As tacky as it sounded, they represented her current heart. Shattered and covered in blood.

And it was now, that she stood there, looking at the sad representation of her heart, did his words sink in. They did more than that though, they made her realize all the damage she had done. She was a burden, she was hurting him, she was the one being selfish and ignorant, the one who was being blind. She realized that she probably made his life ten times more stressful, made it so much harder for him, that he would do so much better with out her existence. That she was just simply a flat out annoyance, and nothing more, burdening him every time she spoke. She didn't deserve him, he didn't deserve to deal with her, her over dramatic foolish ignorant stubborn self. She squatted down on the floor and picked up all the diamonds, the broken shards too, and placed them in a napkin and folded it up. Why was she picking them up? She had no idea what she was going to do with them, but she'd think of something. Picking her head up, the room spun a bit, but after a few seconds went still, and after a few minutes, she realized she was cold. Everything..was just..cold, her world had lost it's color.

She grabbed her clutch and snuck through the crowds, since she didn't want any princesses to notice her, and she followed the same way Ricky went. By the time she reached the door, he had already been outside for a few minutes, but it was the door that she didn't pass. She opened it though, and took one step outside, her hand still holding the door open, her eyes nearly shut, but opened just a bit to stare at the ground. She didn't have it in her to walk near him, nonetheless look up at him, her presence probably just pissed him off. It took all that was left in her to even be able to speak, to get out everything she had to say. " Sorry I'm stupid, ignorant selfish and blind. Sorry I burdened you so much, made your life so much more difficult, and always ended up hurting you. Sorry I annoyed you to no end, and probably embarrassed you numerous times. Sorry I overreact, sorry I'm so weak, sorry I'm just a complete ******** up.
she said, the words flowing out of her mouth, sincere to the very definition of the word. She meant it all, and even though 'sorry' was used over and over again, she'd never forgive herself.

Her mind floated back to when they were at the dance, at the dinner table, when he saw her fresh scars. Her reason was for hurting him, but he told her it was no valid reason, so even then he had no idea how much hurting him hurt her. It hurt her more then anything, what ever mean things he said to her, what happened tonight, the 11th princess, none of those could be comparied with knowing that she had hurt him. She knew he didn't care anymore, that he just wanted her to get out of his life already, to stop polluting it with her impulses and her foolishness. He deserved to live a better life than having her constantly doing something stupid in it.

Then a from the part room could be heard, obviously not as loud as it was in the room, but still audible. Her head snapped around to look back down the hallway, listing to the familiar intro. It took her only a few seconds to identify the song, a song she listened to to comfort her, a song that she had danced to with the boy that now stood a little ways away from her. She listened, the song hitting her like a slap in the face, until she heard the lyrics. Then, memories flash flooded her head, she could barley see clearly they came so fast. Quickly she looked down at ground again, knowing that she had to leave soon, she could already feel tears growing at the corners of her eyes. "I'm sorry" she echoed quietly for the last time, and took a step while turning so she was back in the building and ran. She didn't stop at the part room, no, she ran past that, and down the hallway. She kept going straight till a sharp turn came, and so she turned with it, following the hallway that lead to a stair case she had been to a few times before. When she finally reached said stairs, she stopped running, open the door to them, and quickly went up them, flight after flight, her footsteps echoing in the empty stairwell. Not many people knew of the stairway, only a few of the faculty, mainly because no one bothered to go up it of check it out. Then again, Daisy was not really like most other people, to put it simply in her head, there was just simply something absolutely wrong about her. A defect she told herself, I'm a defect. Soon after several flights of stairs she came to a door that said "Do not enter, only certian faculty allowed." Ignoring the sign as she had several times before, she pushed it open, revealing the roof of the building. It wasn't anything impressive, just flat like most school buildings were, and so she stepped on to it.

It was her secret hiding place, a way to hide from the world, to escape it all. She walked over to the very edge of part of the roof and kicked off her ballet flats to the space next her, since for really no reason, she preferred to be bare foot. She sat down on the edge, folding her legs under her and sitting down on her feet. She reached over and grabbed the napkin with the necklace, and took the chain, and the pieces that still had the loops on them and started to string them back on the necklace, wiping off any blood on those pieces.. She could still hear the music, and now tears, the kind that were really big, and ran down your face one at a time, dripped her face. She sat there for a bit, her stupid pathetic self stinging back together a broken necklace. When all the pieces that could be strung on were, she placed it back on the napkin and changed her seating position. She swung her legs in front of her, and pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapping her hands around her ankles. She buried her face in her knees so only her eyes were visible, and she looked out into the sky before her. Sure, she had small impulses to jump, but it was really nothing, she wasn't going to do it, it was just simply something that came to her when she was on the edge of anything. But it didn't matter, since Daisy had experience with attempting suicide by jumping, she knew this building wasn't tall enough. Sure, it was a good sized building, but from her judgment, she would only walk out with some broken bones, maybe covered in scars again. That wasn't worth it, so there was no point, and so she just sat there, warm tears running down her cheeks, her mind tormented.

She hated this, she was so weak, so easily hurt, such a worthless waste of existence. She didn't know wether she wanted to be alone, or whether she wanted someone there, she just didn't know much of anything anymore, so she really didn't care either way. If a person had seen her and wanted to follow her, so be it, but she also wouldn't mind being alone either. She just listened to the words, the nature of them calming, but now her sercret meaninig behind them chrushed. Was he going to give this song to that pink haired girl now? Would it no longer be they song that Daisy shared with him, would it now belong to this girl who now had Ricky's heart. She pondered it only a moment, to guess yes, that he was probably just going to walk back in the dance, and slow dance with her. After all, that girl was his girlfriend, so why wouldn't he? But as said, she only thought about it a moment, she didn't want to think about that being taken away too. Another selfish thought she told herself, he's not yours anymore, not your Ricky, he's her Ricky, so why should you get to keep a song? That's supposed to her's now she thought, the mental words breaking her even more. In this one night that felt like a million years, she was losing everything, all of it was slipping through her fingers, and she was supposed to forget them. To make them memories. That's what she was supposed to do... but she didn't know if she could let herself do that, the mere thought of doing that, hurt her more, if that was possible. Stupid, stupid, stupid girl she scolded herself, Why can't I learn? she asked herself, knowing that she really had no answer to it.

Alice's foot tapped impatiently on the ground of the train station, frantically looking up at every five minutes from her book she had brought for the train ride. She had finally persuaded her father to let her go back to her friends back in New York, though it was quite a process to do so. He was so intent on her going to some fancy college, one that was too expensive, one that was all run on the material things. So, in a sense, it was poor Alice's personal hell, she couldn't have been happier to hear from her younger brother that her father was finally giving in. Deal was that she had to finish the semester first though, and that school ran a bit weird, so the semester had ended about a week ago. It was just enough time to pack up and head back home to grab a few more things. And today she was supposed to come back, and there also was apparently a new years party. She smiled at that thought, from her understanding Jared still attended there, and she couldn't wait to see again, she'd missed him the whole time. But he wasn't the only one, the lack of the princesses at the school her father sent her too had caused her to be the epitome of anti-social. She smiled a bit down at her book, But that's going to change now, she thought, glancing up again hoping the train would come soon. She was already dreadfully late for the party.

Sadly, the train still seemed to be backed up from the snow, and with a frustrated sigh, Alice went back to her book. Her expert eyes reading the pages, flying over the words, when she came across apart and frowned. A character had left without saying goodbye, and she was reminded of her own self. She had never said goodbye, to the princesses, to Jared, to anyone. She had been selfish, she knew the goodbyes would hurt so much to her, that they would be so hard for her to say. So she didn't, and there wasn't a day that hadn't gone by that she wasn't reminded of it, there wasn't a day she regretted it. But it had gone so fast, she didn't have time to think at the time and Oh sush, it's your fault, don't blame it on other things she contracted her own thoughts. She glanced up again, please to see her train coming in. She stood up, brushing off her dress and headed towards to the train with one lonesome bag. She hadn't bothered bringing her other suitcases since she figured she wouldn't really have time to go explore her dorm. She was having them be dropped off, they should be coming the next day, or the day after, so she had packed for two days just to be safe. But that was it, and she wasn't an over-packer, so everything fit into one bag. She took a seat on one of the train's benches that lined the walls and quickly hid behind her book. Her eyes went over the words, half reading them, her mind half off in it's own thoughts. She hoped everyone would forgive her, or at least not be to mad. She pulled her phone out from the bag, checking to see what time it was, a frown coming across her face when she realized how late she already was. She shook the thoughts from her head, they were making her uneasy, and she focused on the book, glad she had gotten past the other part.

              My story reads »
Delilah was born native to France to her loving parents Guillaume(William) and Calanthe Devereux on April 19, 1937. The family was part of the high-middle class, and the first several years of her life were perfectly normal. She excelled in her language, reading often, and had a wide growing vocabulary. By the time she was six, her father was offered a higher paying job in America, and so the family decided to move there, the company also offering a big apartment to live in. Several weeks before they were about to take off for America, Calanthe fell deeply ill, and was forced to stay back at the hospital. Guillaume and Delilah went on anyways, continuing to have a safe trip to America.

The apartment was nice, her father enjoyed his job, and Delilah had grown fond of her Nanny, Mrs.Ramsey. After three months in America, Guillaume received a letter informing him that his wife had died from Tuberculosis, a disease that had seemed to be spreading to many people the part they had lived in in Normandie*. Devastated, Guillaume quit his job, and proceeded to become an alcoholic. Over the period of about a year, her father sank into worse depression and would not come home for periods of time. After him not coming back in over five months Mrs. Ramsey sent Delilah back to her grandparents in Normandie, Delilah and her nanny kept in touch by letters. She lived with her grandparents until she was seventeen, at which point she was taking care of them, and not the other way around. As they aged, Delilah couldn't take care of them anymore, and they were put in a nursing home. Needing a place to live, she moved back to America, Mrs.Ramsey now taking Delilah in as her own. At first Delilah didn't believe at all when Mr.Ramsey informed her that they were vampires, she regarded them as mythical creatures in the stories she had read. But after a long night of talking, she was convinced, and changed, and had become part of the Ramsey's family.

Delilah never heard from her father after she had left for her grandparents, and only received one or two birthday cards from her grandparents. But surely by now, all three have passed.

*No historical evidence about Tuberculosis epidemic there..just part of the story xD

The genre is » Delilah is overall a generally mellow person. When around people she doesn't know, she's quite and detached, but when shes with her friends she lets loose a bit, and with her closest friends, a lot. She is thoughtful, but she also has the tendency to space out. She is the kinda person who just lets life float by on a cloud, not liking to worry about to much, and usually has a dream-like look on her face. She also doesn't like things to get to her, so they mostly get pushed out of her head. Surprinsingly shes always up for a bit of an adventure, and doesn't mind getting dirty.

She doesn't have much feelings towards killing people, if anything it's rather neutral. To be honest, she doesn't give much thought to as whether it is good bad, to her, it just is.

Delilah sat on the bed she never used, her elbow resting on a nearby window sill, her chin propped up in one hand. Her soft eyes gazed out of the window, her mind somewhere among clouds that laced the sky above her. This wasn't for nothing though, she was trying to shove the thoughts of nervousness out from her head. She tried thinking about her kill last night, it was a quite pleasent one. There had been a light thunder storm the night before, so she had decided to take a walk around the town's lake. She had come across a kid, she was sure he was in her algebra class last year, walking himself, well now running with it in an attempt to get out of the rain. She didn't pay mind at first till she noticed he was holding a small orange object, eating it, then smelled the sweet necter from what ever he was holding. She inhaled deeply as she walked past him, and her body thirsted, so she took a quick glance to make sure no one was around, and tackled the boy. She hadn't eaten in a while, and was a bit not like herself. She smirked at the petrified boy, her eyes looked wild, Hey, its your fault for eating something so sweet smelling she mentally blamed him. With quick nimble hands she snapped his breaking, breaking off his life just as he was about to scream for help. She drained him completely, wiped off her mouth with napkin the boy had been holding the clementine in, and disposed of his body.

Delilah brought herself back to the present, bringing her mind back from the clouds, her blue eyes blinking a couple times. She got up from her bed, brushing out wrinkles on the dress she was wearing, in attempts to look nicer for the first day of school. Because besides this and picture day, she wasn't going to be wearing anything special. She jogged down the stairs and into the kitchen to find Maureene in there cleaning the counter top. "Good Morning" Delilah greeted the middle aged woman. She looked around the room, trying to see if Jerry was anywhere, not seeing him, she assumed he had already left to the airport he worked at a few towns over. He had been a pilot since before Delilah was born, and he always ranted how planes were to fancy these days, and how still loved the old ones he used to fly so much more. "Good Morning dear." the older vampire replied, looking up from her cleaning. "Do you need anything to eat?" she asked Delilah, in a tone that was perfectly normal that could of belonged to any kicthen on a school day morning. Delilah just shook her head, before leaving the kitchen to her front door where everyone's shoes, except her 'father's', were lined up. She slid on a pair of dark gray ballet flats, always hating heels despite she wasn't exactly on the tall side. She grabbed the keys to the car and her shoulder bag, and left outside the door.

The drive to school was short, and she was there soon enough. After being a vampire for fifty six years, you learn to deal with the smells of mass surpluses of blood. Still, instincts caused a small craving to sprout in her brain, but she paid no mind to it, she simply let her mind drift, like she usually did. She smoothly drifted through the crowds of people, trying to avoid brushing up against someone and making them feel her dead-chilled skin. As she was passing through her nose caught the smell of two other vampires, and she decided to go over to them. Her face switched from an unfocused look to a curious one as she approached. "Ello" she greeted them, her eyes now fully focused and not off in some dream land. She adjusted the strap on her bag a little over on her shoulder, and let her hand hang idle on the strap, as she quietly waited for an answer.
