"What is a soul? It's like electricity, a force that can light a room."

Head held high, perfect posture, and the grace of the most delicate creature. Alexandria was absolutely radiant today, having the highest of expectations out of anyone she would come into contact with. She held herself to high standards so why shouldn't others meet those expectations as well? Her eyes narrowed as she rounded the corner of a building, the beginning of route 101 coming into view. Had she ever been here before? She couldn't find the vaguest of memories of the place. It wasn't likely that she'd ever been there since she usually kept to the confines of important locations and major metropolitan areas. This little town was of no importance to her until just recently, after joining Team Light. While the thrill of something new and rebellious caught her interest, having to start over with a brand new Pokemon team did not. She had to leave all of her precious elegant Pokemon, that she'd raised since she was about six years old, at home with her parents. She had made her parents promise not to let anything happen to her dear electric types. Having to raise all new Pokemon at the age of twenty-five would prove to be very inconvenient, but she would push through it, if only for her the sake of her own pride. She wouldn't be caught in shame if her Pokemon were poorly trained or neglected. They would become the best of the best, no matter what.

Alexandria, or Xander, pulled her white leather backpack around to her front and removed a Pokeball from the pack's front pocket. She held the ball in her hand and pressed the button to release the Pokemon inside. A flash of light from the ball one moment and the next a Magnemite had formed. The small electric type Pokemon lay dazed on the ground for a moment before coming to life and floating into the air. It hovered around Xander's head, circling her a couple of times before staying still a few feet from her face. Xander peered at the Magnemite with narrowed eyes, scrutinizing everything about it. "Magne-mite." Xander scrunched her nose at it and then her face lit up with a smirk, her eyes bright. "Alright, I guess I should give you a name, huh." She searched through her imagination for something out of the blue. "Mace, that's your name. It's simple and unexpected." She spoke the words as if tasting them. She seemed pleased with her choice, as did the Magnemite. Mace spun around joyfully in response. "Mite. Magne. Magnemite. Mite!" Xander frowned at Mace's reaction. She teetered her finger in the air at it to say no. "That's no way for a gentleman to act in public. You are a boy right? Well, regardless, I'm going to assume that you are, for now." Xander began to walk towards Route 101. "Let us go. We need to meet up with the boss before they leave us behind. Just hover around, but don't make too much noise." Mace decided to listen to its new trainer and just hovered silently around Xander's head. Xander dropped the Pokeball back into her backpack and then slid the pack onto her back, her arms through the straps. As she approached the entrance of Route 101 she noticed a couple of guys getting out of a vehicle and mingling. They must be the people she was supposed to meet up with.

Xander put on her pretty girl face to impress her new companions. "Greetings. You should already know who I am, but I will give you the benefit of the doubt. My name is Alexandria Page. Under no circumstances are you to call me Alex." Her voice was stern during the last sentence, making sure to get her point across. "I look forward to getting to know both of you." This of course was a lie. If either of them proved to be important or something then she would certainly regard him in a higher regard, but for now she would hide her distaste with a pleasantries. "Oh, and this is Mace." Xander peered up Mace beckoning. "Say hello." She commanded of the Magnemite and it reacted obediently, trying to be gentlemanly. "Magne-mite." Mace brought forward one of his magnets to the men as an offer to shake their hands.

Whether Gavin truly enjoyed Olivia's singing, she couldn't tell for sure. People often gave compliments on pure flattery. Gavin seemed to be an earnest person, though, as far as she could tell. Travelers were A modest smile took the place of her frown when he said that she sounded enchanting. "It's not modesty when one truly has no talent to begin with." She honestly didn't believe that she was any good at singing. There were many people who could boast trained voices, which was what she based skill off of, by how much work was put into it. Flattery would get a person no where, especially not with her on this particular topic. "Thank you for--" Olivia about jumped out of her own skin when Zek'yral slammed the door of his tree house shut. A shrill yelp of surprise escaped her mouth as well. She couldn't hear the rest of Gavin's comment over her own surprise. She'd sound what? Better? Judging by his previous comments she assumed the latter. He was certainly going all out with this 'feel good' flattery. She did appreciate his kindness, though. "Thank you for the advice." Her voice level and sweet as she spoke, unsure of whether Gavin would hear her.

At Gavin's comment about Zek'yral's tools Olivia looked from the feline, to the bard, and back to the to the feline, doing a double take at the Narsian's gear. How on earth was he able to carry all of that? She looked down at herself, looking back at Zek'yral a couple of times, trying to determine how unevenly matched they were. Now she felt like she had under packed. She sighed and resigned to the use of her magic making up for what she lacked in physical defense. If Zek'yral decided to lose it and turn against her she'd just transform into him and boost her power with magic. Maybe seeing himself would be enough to bring him back to his senses. She would deal with that if it were to ever happen, hopefully not, though. Zek'yral may prove to be a perfect match as a guild partner for her, who knew.

Olivia followed after her partners, this time moving to the front of the group, keeping a comfortable pace. She was grateful that Gavin asked what she was too afraid to bring up. Delving into other people's pasts was something she tried avoid. You never know what you might find there. It was a practice she kept because of her own past, to be considerate of others' painful secrets. She was genuinely interested in knowing about Zek'yral's home, though. Cats were such intriguing and curious creatures. Adding human mannerisms to the feline's already peculiar and stand-offish behavior was simply mad. Whoever that idea originated from must have been in a special place in their mind. Zek'yral seemed rather normal compared to what she was imagining the rest of his people to be like, aside from licking the blood off himself back at the guild. A human would just take a bath. Wait, does he even take baths? Her face contorted, imagining things she probably shouldn't have been.

Olivia snickered at Gavin's question. "I could be, if you wanted. No, but, I am a shapeshifter." She placed a hand over her mouth to keep from laughing out loud, but continued to snicker off and on. "Anything that's alive, actually." She hadn't had any herbs that morning so doing a full transformation would be a bit painful, but for the sake of example she would endure it. She pondered for a moment on what form to take. The perfect example for the moment struck her then. She stopped walking suddenly and took a deep breath, her eyes rolling back in her head. For her the transformation was much more elaborate than what was seen by outsiders. Olivia delved into her own mind in search of the form she desired to take and then summoned it to her physical body using her magic. She flinched at the prickling sensation of the new form taking over her body. To anybody watching all they would see was her body first taking the main position or posture of the new form and then her features disappearing underneath those of the new form. First, her hair went from the natural grey to what appeared to be a navy blue and it looked almost like it was shrinking back into her head until it was about chin length. The next most notable change would have been her stature. Her body took on the form of the much taller, proud male bard's form. Her clothes also changed to that of what Gavin was wearing at that moment. The physical transformation only lasted for a few seconds, though, and when she finally opened her eyes, they had turned from olive to a blue that was about the same shade as her new hair. Olivia turned around to face Gavin, desperately wanting to see his reaction. Her voice even sounded the same as Gavin's. "What do you think?" The question was directed at both of her companions. As she waited for either of them to reply, she took mental notes about Gavin's features. His posture was extraordinarily different from her own. Where she tried to be modest, he was proud. Most traveling bards she'd known would have a similar posture to her own, from being on the go almost constantly, their posture wouldn't have been near this proper. She could also feel the power in his muscles and took to flexing some of them inconspicuously under the layers of clothing. Luckily for Gavin, Olivia was limited to physical aspects. So she couldn't access his mind at all.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

What is the point of a picnic anyway? To sit on the hard, damp ground and eat middle class, handmade food? Why put that much effort just to get dirty? Dirt is the enemy, which means that picnics are something to be avoided. "How did I get dragged into this?"

The group had decided to have their picnic in a forest clearing that was several yards across. It was adorned with patches of tiny white flowers and dandelions. The rest of the surrounding fauna was just as lively. There appeared to be no other people around at the time and the only Pokemon around were docile, bug type Pokemon minding their own business.

Alexandria stood between a couple of shady trees, watching her traveling companions do whatever it is they were doing. Sitting on the ground to do anything was not her idea of fun. She would have nothing to do with it. Eating, on the other hand, was a necessity. So she had painfully accepted a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a handful of grapes. Later she would go back to claim a piece of pie, but for now she would finish off the sandwich and grapes under the protection of the shade trees. Sunscreen was scarce on journeys like these and she didn't want to waste what little she had on an activity that she hadn't even agreed upon.

The early afternoon was going peacefully thus far. No interruptions or unruly Pokemon. Alexandria listened to the rustling of the tree leaves. The wind was so steady and welcoming, subduing the midday sun's abrasive heat. "This would be a perfect day to play the violin." She smiled sweetly, wishing she'd been able to bring it along. The calm expression was rare for the wealthy young lady. Family members, had they been present, would have taken the opportunity to take a picture. Off in the distance flashes of light began to shine through the trees. Alexandria narrowed her eyes to see if she could make out what was making the ruckus off in the distance. Unfortunately she couldn't make anything out at this far away. She glanced over at her traveling companions to see if they had noticed. Whether or not they did she didn't actually care, she would go after it regardless. The only thing that could make that kind of flashing was an electric attack. If she was lucky, it would be a wild electric Pokemon. Adrenaline pumped through her body at the thought of catching another electric Pokemon for her new team.

Alexandria disappeared into the tree line off in the direction of the flashing. As she ran through the underbrush, dodging low hanging branches and avoided tangled vines and roots on the ground, she began to hear voices. Not just regular voices, though, they were shouts. It appeared that a couple of youngsters had beaten her to the scene. A wild Joltik was wreaking havoc on a small camping area. It wouldn't have been as big of an issue if there hadn't been people around, but unfortunately there were families involved. As Alexandria ran upon the scene one of the two youngsters that were trying to subdue the Joltik for themselves noticed her approach. One could almost always tell when a trainer's goal was to catch a Pokemon. There was a connection to that youngster that made it apparent to him that Alexandria wanted to catch the Joltik as well. He came running in her direction in an attempt to keep her from the wild electric Pokemon. "You won't be getting near that Pokemon. It's mine!"

The youngster reached to his belt and brought up a Pokeball, pressing its button to make it expand. "Weedle, go!" He threw the ball into the air, releasing the Pokemon inside with a flash of light. "If a battle is what you wish then I will gladly accept. I have no doubt that this will be easy." Alexandria smirked, her voice confident. She hadn't battled much with either of her Pokemon so she was still getting used to their fighting styles and how they learned. For this particular battle Rattata would be her best option since Magnemite may not fare well against the bug type. "Rattata, it's your time to shine." She reached into her backpack and brought out a Pokeball, expanding it and then throwing it forward. A flash of light from the Pokeball brought out the small rat Pokemon. It stretched a moment before turning around to face its trainer, silently. "You better prove your skills today. I'm counting on you." The Rattata nodded, accepting Alexandria's command. It then turned to face the Weedle. "Enough standing around! Weedle, use Poison Sting!" The bug Pokemon proceeded to viciously shoot poisoned needles at Rattata. "Rattata, Quick Attack." The small rat Pokemon dashed immediately from its spot, heading towards the Weedle and dodging the poisoned needles. "Ratt. Raaa!" Rattata shouted out as it went in for impact on the Weedle, sending the bug Pokemon flying when she rammed into it. The Weedle cried out in pain as it landed, struggling to get back up. "Weedle, String Shot! Come on, you can do this." The Weedle's attack hit Rattata in a moment of her distraction. The small rat Pokemon began to become entrapped in the Weedle's thread. "Break free, Rattata!" Rattata struggled for a few moments to get loose and then began to gnaw on the thread, breaking free just to be hit by another of Weedle's Poison Sting attacks. Rattata braced itself and took the needles, flinching and yelping at the pain. "Next, use Tackle." Rattata shook its head free of the needles that had stuck to its body and then proceeded to charge at the Weedle. She hit the bug Pokemon head on causing it to go flying towards its trainer, the youngster. "Dammit! You were too strong for me." The youngster frowned. "Return, Weedle" The boy tapped his Pokeball to his Pokemon, returned it to safety, and then ran off into the forest. The Joltik was still causing problems on the other side of the camping area, eluding the efforts of any trainers who tried to subdue it.

Before the first youngster could get out of sight, a second youngster decided to challenge Alexandria for the right to catch the Joltik. "You may have beaten that amateur, but I'll be more of a challenge!" The youngster gave a cocky smile. "Seedot, come on out!" Rattata had become poisoned from her previous battle with the Weedle, but Alexandria didn't have any antidotes. There was no telling when Rattata would finally succumb to the effects of her status ailment. All Alexandria could do was hope that the small rat would hold strong as long as possible. "I know you're hurting Rattata, but I need you to continue, for me." The youngster scoffed at Alexandria. "You should really take better care of your Pokemon. Seedot, use Bide!" She paid not attention to the boy's off-handed comment and went ahead with giving her Pokemon a command. "Tackle!" Rattata hesitated for a moment, feeling the effects of the poison even more now, but she obeyed anyways. The small rat dashed at the Seedot, making a direct hit. The Seedot absorbed the power of the impact into its body, bracing itself using Bide. Rattata hit it again upon command, but the Seedot once again absorbed the impact. Alexandria ordered Rattata to use Quick Attack once more. With all of its remaining strength, Rattata launched itself at the Seedot, once again making a direct hit and the seed Pokemon absorbing the power of the impact. Rattata fainted then, from the effects of the poison. Shockingly, the Seedot began to teeter after the impact and then fainted as well. Alexandria let out a sigh of relief and then called back Rattata to its Pokeball. "You've done well, but we'll talk later about that." She grumbled as the youngster called out a second Pokemon. "This isn't over yet. Go, Zigzagoon!" She wondered when this would end. It was distracting her from her true purpose for being here, Joltik. "Whatever, have it your way. Let's go, Mace. I want to get this over with." She placed Rattata's ball back into her backpack and then removed Magnemite's ball, expanding it and then releasing the Pokemon. The magnet Pokemon hovered around Alexandria's head a couple of times, happy to see her again. "Enough fooling around, Mace. Use Tackle until it's fainted." Alexandria lazily waved Mace's attention over to the youngster's Zigzagoon. Mace gladly accepted the order. "Magnemite!" It zoomed over to the Zigzagoon, tackling it once before the youngster began to order its Pokemon to fight back. The two Pokemon went head to head, tackling each other until the younger Zigzagoon finally fainted in defeat. Alexandria yawned as the youngster complained in aggravation and returned his Pokemon to their Pokeballs and ran off. "Finally, now we can address the real problem."

Alexandria motioned for Mace to follow her as she walked cautiously over to where the Joltik was running amok, not that she needed to tell it. The Magnemite would follow her regardless. Throughout her battles with the youngsters, stray bolts of electricity would make their way nearby, but now they had begun to weaken. The poor Joltik must have been running out of power by now. Alexandria took a moment to pinpoint where exactly the tiny tick Pokemon was at and then pointed it its direction so that Mace could find it as well. "Alright, Mace, a tackle should do the trick." Mace chirped in agreement. It then circled around to behind the Joltik, cautiously, and rushed at it, tackling it and knocking it off the tree it had been perched on. The Joltik fell to the ground, exhausted of its power. Alexandria took the opportunity to pick it up and tap it with a Pokeball. The Joltik was sent into the ball with a flash of light and the ball began to teeter in her hand. It blinked a few times before finally going still and silent. An excited smile spread across her face at her achievement. She couldn't wait to try it out in a battle. For now she had to head back to her companions, hoping they hadn't left without her already.

"What is a soul? It's like electricity, a force that can light a room."

Mace didn't seem to mind that neither of the men had accepted his offer for a hand shake. They may not have noticed, but he became distracted easily anyway so he wouldn't insist on them obliging. He went about hovering around each of the three Light members' head, making beeping and buzzing noises as he floated. "I can assure you, she has plenty to be jealous of, but not from me." Alexandria snickered at her own comment. In a way it was a compliment since it meant that Jordan was attractive enough for the pathetic Zubat to be jealous. At the same time, though, she disliked annoying Pokemon and Zubat fell into that category. Not that she would elaborate on why she said what she had. She followed after her two companions, keeping up with their pace. "It's nice to meet you," she paused, a smirk across her face, "Mister Bishop." She emphasized the word 'mister' after having sensed his discomfort. She had decided that she would call him that as long as he showed disdain for the title, then she would find a new one.

Alexandria couldn't help but notice that Alair Bishop didn't say a word to her. He had waved, which was a gesture, at least. This would be another she had decided to make him uncomfortable. "Do I dare ask what the purpose is, of starting our travels so far away from our destination?" The question was more directed at Jordan than Alair. "We need to train our Pokemon, so is that our purpose for traveling? Or am I supposed to be gaining badges?" She frowned at the thought of fighting Gym leaders like a common trainer. She didn't need a badge to prove she was a great trainer. Her Pokemon would prove that after being thoroughly trained.

Alexandria turned her head to glance at Alair who had been following at the back of the trio, but he wasn't there anymore. "Jordan, where did Mister Bishop run off to?" She looked at Jordan to see if he even knew that Alair had disappeared. It was very unprofessional of Alair to just go off on his own like that. She started walking back the way they'd came. Maybe he had stopped somewhere behind them.

The bard seemed innocent enough to her. He gave her good vibes, at least thus far. She couldn't say too much on the matter, though, because she had withheld information as well. Labeling Zek'yral as being overly cautious would be to label herself as a hypocrite. She expected that he would open up more over time as most people did. Gavin didn't show too much more interest in the subject. He had seemed at a loss for words, not that she had much to add either, though. The end of Zek'yral's comment was informative. "...or rather, used to live." Olivia had heard of the misfortune that had befallen some of the southern tribes, but she had never looked into the matter too thoroughly. It had never been pertinent enough to warrant her attention. Maybe had been heavily involved in the conflicts or maybe he had run away at the first sight of danger. Who knew? Two years of random, brief conversations and interactions with the Narsian lead her to believe that he was not the kind to run away in the face of conflict.

Olivia's companions' reaction pleased her very much indeed. She loved the shock and awe that people had when they first observed her power. Although she would never admit that out loud. "Since we are to be traveling together for a while, it's important that we know each others' strengths and weaknesses, at least a basic knowledge, right?" She looked to both of the men for visual confirmation as to whether they agreed with the statement. She was still in Gavin's form and it was beginning to fit better, to become less awkward in her mind. Zek'yral's assassin comment made her chuckle. The sound of her voice had not settled quite right in her mind. It was strange for her to grasp that it was her speaking and not Gavin himself. Each time she spoke she felt the need to look in his direction in order to listen to what he was saying when he, in fact, wasn't saying anything at all. "I have had many years to practice my skills." She smiled as sweetly as she could, hoping that it didn't come across as awkward in the unfamiliar form. Gavin's compliments regarding her skills she would accept as flattery. She had indeed trained very extensively with shape shifting. "I am not a rank six for nothing. Although, I still have a ways to go." She turned to Zek'yral slyly. "Zek'yral here happens to be rank eight." She nudged the Narsian's arm with a balled fist. "But yes, to answer your question, anything."

"Actually," she teased, "You may be onto something." An over exaggerated, conniving expression crossed Olivia's face, or rather, Gavin's face, since she still held his form. "The Queen may need to watch her back." Her voice had deepened to sound conspiratorial. She rubbed her chin, as if contemplating the notion, and then crossed her arms, looking sideways at both of her companions. All the talk of assasination was only jest, of course. Hopefully the two men would not take her seriously. Her expression lightened then and she began to laugh, patting Gavin on the shoulder playfully. She continued to smile as the musician disputed and defended the Queen. He put a slight damper on her humor of the situation. The Queen was in no danger of being assassinated. Her rule was prosperous and she was in fact a kind monarch to her subjects. No one in their right mind would think of ending her reign early. "I'm only joking with you. The Queen is in no danger, I can assure you that." As the trio took to walking once again she stayed next to Zek'yral, taking twice as many strides just to keep up. Gavin's form began to fade from Olivia's body then as well. Her hair grew back out to just below her shoulder blades, turning back to its natural cool grey. Her eyes turning back to their olive shade. Her small stature returned and she almost stumbled over herself as her bones shrank to their original size. Her view of the surrounding area was reduced significantly because of it and it made her very aware of her height suddenly. The last of Gavin's proper posture left her and her shoulders deflated under the sudden bitterness about her being so short. Being small certainly had its disadvantages.

As silence fell for a moment, Olivia took to observing their surroundings. It seemed peaceful, but there was a stillness about the atmosphere. There would probably be a storm later, if anything, just a downpour. She smiled again at the thought of rain, feeling much more comfortable in her own skin. A rustling caught her attention off in the distance. It sounded too heavy to be an animal, but whatever it was it wasn't making its presence known just yet. It could be just another traveler. Travelers tended to keep to the road, which they were currently on. So, the chances of it being a bandit, as Gavin had just expressed concerns about, were very high. The noise wasn't constant. It happened once or twice maybe, she couldn't tell. She kept her body relaxed and scanned the area for signs of movement or anything suspicious. Since she was walking next to Zek'yral already, letting him know would be easy. Whether or not to let the musician know was a gamble, though. He may give up that they knew of the bandits' presence. Olivia put a smile on and began to speak cheerfully with a hushed tone. "Unfortunately, Bandits are quite common in this area since it's close to the city." She looked up at Zek'yral, brushing her hand against him discreetly to get his attention. If she could get him to look down at her, or at least glance, she flicked her eyes off in the direction of the surrounding area and back to Zek'yral, then turned to look ahead of them. "It is unlikely, though, that we'll get attacked by any, but we should still keep a keen eye out for them." She cleared her throat and her voice rose slightly as if to emphasize what she was saying, "I would hate to get taken by surprise this early on our trip." She lowered her eyelids, stretched, and yawned to give any followers the impression that she was completely relaxed. To her disappointment, her powers would more than likely be no surprise to their stalkers if they had been listening on the trio's conversation, or even just watching them for a while. Her ear twitched at the sound of a scuffle off in the distance. Now, she knew for sure that there was someone following them.

Olivia post idea #1:

A fawn/goat is in the forest. He bates and accidentally reveals himself to the trio. At first he plays it nice and innocent and then he gets impatient and angry. He has earth powers?

Olivia scoffed at herself. Zek'yral apparently knew of their followers before she did or at least at the same time. She couldn't tell which, but it was convenient when your partner wasn't oblivious to surroundings. Wait a minute. When did I start calling him my partner? It was way too early on to say that he was her partner, wasn't it? Maybe not, cause they were technically partners. Technically, but not on an emotional level. She would still rely fully on her own strength until she knew that he had her back.

Olivia glanced at Haakon when he asked about the next city. Why did he sound pained? It was such an out of place question. "I guess you could say it is, just like any other city. It's more exciting than Tirol at least. The night life is a-maze-ing!" At first she didn't know how to respond to his question. She came up with whatever she could think of off the top of her head. By the end of the comment she was running away with herself, getting excited and putting extra emphasis on the 'amazing'. She rarely ever said that word. It was saved for the truly outstanding. "I'm only speaking out of my own experience, though. Maybe I am mistaken and I am just unlucky when it comes to whether or not I run into a bandit." The last statement was ironic in the least since it was proving to be true. There were in fact being followed and it was probably her fault, not because of anything she had done. Bandits were just drawn to her for no apparent reason. "The Hunter's Guild protects the city, but there is no way to fully eradicate banditry from any area. There will always be at least one more to take care of." She enjoyed his compliment on the Hunter's Guild, oblivious to any meaning it may have had behind it. It was nice to be noticed every once in a while, to be acknowledged. She was proud to be a part of a group well known for it's accomplishments. To think, four years ago she had wanted nothing to do with the Hunters.

As her two companions discussed Gavin's fighting history, Olivia pulled a metal tube out of the small knapsack tied at her waist. It was a tube of lipstick. The two men were likely to brush off her using it as vanity, or something woman related. While that assumption wouldn't be completely inaccurate, she was putting it on for a whole different reason. The lipstick contained a poison taken from her own Recluse for form, a habit she had formed since being in Tirol as a form of extra protection from the b*****d men that roamed the streets at night. Her attention was immediately drawn from closing up her lipstick to the surrounding forest when she heard something very unusual. She had believed their follower to be a bandit of some sort. The sound that came through the trees contradicted that belief. A loud, distressed bating, like a goat, came from the direction she'd heard their follower and it sounded like it was getting closer. "What the hell is tha--" Olivia stumbled backwards into Zek'yral as a faun tumbled recklessly from some bushes that lined the path.

The half man, half goat creature hit Olivia like a bowling ball, sending her head over heels on top of the faun. "Aiieeeeeee!" A shrill cry escaped her during all of this. Whether or not Zek'yral went down with her was unknown. All she knew was that she was now laying onto of a young, very attractive faun, in a rather controversial position, too. She scrambled to pull herself off of the faun, accidentally elbowing him in the chin as she pushed herself up. The faun launched himself backwards attempting to remove himself from underneath Olivia. It didn't looked frightened. Its, or rather his, expression was of suspicion, fear, and anger. When he appeared to have finally gathered the situation, his expression changed to purely to an innocent fear of the trio. "D-d-don't hurt m-me! Please!" A bating noise was sprinkled into his speech, giving him quite an unusual stutter and accent. "And why not?" Olivia raged. He had run into her and knocked her unceremoniously to the ground and ripped her leggings in the process. She didn't bother to stand yet. She merely sat on the ground across from the faun, staring angrily at it. "You were the one who barged in on us!" Her voice raised to aggravated yelling.

Location::Next to the doused campfire--Companion(s)::Aiden and Jolli

++Challows dreams were vaguely filled with the screams and shouts of someone being chased, a barking dog, and unrecognizable ramblings of several voices. None of the images were solid enough to be recognized as reality, but the colors were vivid and responsive to what was going on around the girl sleeping at the campfire. While Challow slumbered away, Danii had been attentively watching everything that was happening and if only for his trainer's sake, kept himself calm in the midst of the commotion. He would stay with Challow until she was finally ready to wake up. Most days went the same, Challow curled up next to him at night time and then when morning came he would keep her warm and comfortable until her sleep faded with the night. This morning would be no exception. Tropius was wrought with curiosity and itched to get up and join in spectating on what was happening, between the crazed Houdour and the injured Pidgey. It was all that he could do to stay put. He cooed at his trainer sweetly and nuzzled in her hair for a few moments. Challow's sleeping mind continued to register the voices around her, but as one voice got closer it began to wake her from her half dreaming, dazed slumber. It was softer than the voices had previously been. No one had spoken to her in that tone in many years. Her eyes fluttered open lackadaisically, but all she saw was Tropius' body in front of her, cause she was still curled up next to him. The guys she'd seen around the campfire, and the rest of their group, must already be awake. Their voices were audible around the clearing. None of them were as close or familiar as that last voice. So, she must be missing something. She rolled her body away from Danii, freeing him from his duties as her pillow, and extended her arms and legs away from her body to stretch. As she entered the stretch she'd caught the sight of someone looming over her, which made her pause mid-stretch, opening one eye to get a better look. Her green eye glanced groggily up at the brunette who was sitting next to her sprawled out body. Her breath caught at the realization of who the person was and she felt like crying tears of joy. A gigantic smile sprang onto her face.

"Aiden! I can't believe it's really you! Aaah!" Challow squealed with excitement, launching herself at Aiden to give the brunette a bear hug. "How've you been?" She peeled herself off Aiden to get a good look at her face. "How long has it been? How old are you now? I've been fantastic, you know! I've been doing a lot of painting, too. How many Pokemon do you have now? Is there anyone really special in your life? Hmm? Wink, wink." The barrage of questions was like word vomit. After having been separated from anyone she had known she just couldn't contain herself. She also hadn't been excited about anything as of late, with the current situation being what it was. Aiden simply had the misfortune, or luck, of being the first outlet Challow had found. Challow stopped to breath and was ready to ask more questions when she noticed her childhood companion's expression. "Aiden, why do you look so sad?" Challow waited patiently, expecting Aiden to more likely avoid the question or be a smart a** about it rather than actually answer the question, but she had a good idea as to why her friend was melancholy. Challow's joy was rare nowadays, since so many people had suffered loss. The girl with hetero-chromatic eyes looked into the brunette's eyes, longing for an earnest answer to the question, her hands placed on Aiden's shoulders.

After Challow had rolled away from Danii, freeing him of his pillow and space heater duties, he took that as an invitation to do as he pleased and what interested him the most at this point was the injured Pidgey fiasco. He padded over to the people gathering around the small, his footsteps lighter than some would expect. He kept a comfortable distance and then used his head to peer down on the bird in the blonde girl's hands. They had appeared to already have taken care of whatever injury it had received. The people around him were obviously not getting along, since one's remark caused another to take off running away from the group. He turned his attention to the brunette running away and eyed her grass Pokemon, wishing he could have met them properly. He then turned his attention back to the Pidgey and cooed at it sweetly. "Trrooo. Tropius!" He looked at the blonde girl, greeting her happily.

Olivia took a glance back at her companions seeking support and the possibility of an arm being extended to help her up, but what she saw was disappointing. The hint of a disappearing smile on Zek'yral's face set her off on an even deeper rage than the faun. He had been laughing at her. She scowled sideways at him, hoping that he was receiving all the heat of her anger, her eyes turning a glossy, pitch black like the eyes of a Common Indian Krait, a deadly poisonous snake. Gavin's thoughtful approach triggered Olivia's enhanced animal reflexes into reacting, her eyes, still pitch black, instantly locked in on his. If he had moved any faster it may have ended badly for him. The Krait's venom would cause slow paralysis and he would have slowly suffocated to death over several hours. It would be such a shame, too. So much beauty graced the musician, having a musical talent and handsome physical features. Unmentionable thoughts of the bard raced through her serpent influenced mind. Olivia reached out and took his hand in the end, pulling herself up with his help after deciding that it wasn't him she had a fight with. Whether Zek'yral realized it or not, there would be a price to pay for laughing at her.

The Narsian took over questioning the faun, while Olivia had been occupied with getting to her feet, which ticked her off even more. Who was he to think he could fight her battles? This was between her and the faun. The serpent's instincts were filling her mind, changing things about her personality and she was no longer thinking in terms of helping the team. She was only concerned with her own problems and that she had a bone to pick with this scrawny faun. A scrawny faun that was annoying her more and more by the second. He was going on about being chased, which meant one thing. "So you led them straight to us!" She hissed seethingly. Her canine teeth were changing into that of the Krait's slender venomous fangs and her body had become dead still as if about to strike out. Lucky for the fawn, or maybe not, his pursuer reared its ugly head, launching itself from the bushes at the group of four. Olivia's transformation happened almost instantaneously, her body shrinking into the form of a three foot long, slender, black with white stripes Krait. She struck out at the magically enhanced quadruped in time to inject a small amount of venom into its back left thigh, almost getting dragged along with it when it took off after the fleeing faun. For some reason unknown to her, Gavin decided that he was going to chase after the scrawny half goat. What on earth was he thinking, going in the same direction as the predator's prey? Did he know nothing of the logistics of hunting? She looked incredulously after the fleeing musician.

Her anger still seethed, but now she had an outlet. Killing something would help release some of her rage appropriately instead of letting Zek'yral have it. She didn't bother to look at him or look for him, just transformed quickly back into her human form and then took off in the direction that the three runners had gone. Gavin had already gotten a significant distance away, so pinpointing his location would be difficult, but she would have to find a way if she was to ever keep him alive. She stretched out her hand in Gavin's direction and began to chant a Haste spell. Her, now human eyes, flashed the color similar to the shine on oil and the air around her began to pick up, whipping around her outstretched hand, palm facing Gavin. The first two casts were unsuccessful with either the foliage interfering or her stumbling. "Dammit Gavin, stop zig-zagging!" She shouted out of frustration. The third enchantment finally hit its intended target while in an area of sparse trees. "Why couldn't you have just stood still?" She continued to shout in his direction, not really expecting a reply. Finally, she got tired of dodging underbrush with her clumsy human feet and she transformed into a light golden hued, red wolf. She now padded lithely as she vigorously chased after the vicious magic predator, now only a few feet from it. She launched herself from a thick, raised root, landing on top of the other wolf. It was twice her size and five times as vicious looking, but she had magic, too. She dug her teeth into the giant wolf's scruff, drawing blood from her grip. As she clamped down she cast two spells, one for strength and another to speed up the effects of the Krait venom in its system, hoping that the magic wouldn't null her poison. The creature quit pursuing Gavin and the faun that had appeared to have disappeared sometime back. He had probably found a place to hide, again, she assumed. Cowards. She scoffed inwardly. The giant wolf thrashed in an attempt to dislodge Olivia from its back. It reached back with its razor sharp claws, gouging Olivia's wolf flesh, yanking her from its back, and dragging her violently to to the hard, grassy ground. She yelped at the pain of the wolf's tearing her from his back. It stood with one paw pinning her to the ground, claws digging into her flesh, as if calculating its next move. It snarled, thick drool foaming at the edges of its mouth. Olivia whimpered, hoping that Zek'yral was somewhere nearby and wishing that she hadn't just blown him off.

________________________________________

Olivia hummed a sweet little tune as the city of Avile came into view. The rain had washed away the blood that was on her skin and in her hair, but it only made the blood in her shirt spread. Her top was now mostly a light pinkish color and very see through. White shirts and rain did not go well together if one was going for modesty. Her undershirt could be seen through the drenched, blood stained blouse. Luckily she had decided to put it on that morning, otherwise she would be much more embarrassed among her two male companions. Although most of the trip she kept as much distance between her and Zek'yral as possible without getting too far ahead or behind, so Gavin would have been her only concern.

Before the three of them had left the scene of the scuffle Olivia had paused to heal any wounds that both Gavin and Zek'yral had acquired. Although she had not looked Zek'yral in the face, she simply scowled and healed him begrudgingly. The rain had long since soothed her and made her forget all about her anger. The rain was peaceful, not too heavy, but a constant drizzle that brought peace to her mind. She let the rain completely cover her body instead of using magic to keep herself dry, which Gavin apparently had done, since he didn't appear to be near as soaked as her or Zek'yral. Olivia now only boasted an almost invisible scar on her shoulder that could be seen through the tear in her shirt, the loose fabric hanging pasted to her arm.

Olivia was actually not as surprised as she was expecting to be when she found out who had given her the magic boost. She was actually kind of relieved since it meant that they weren't being followed by another stranger. She had told him, "It is probably a good thing that you did not physically intervene in the situation. I do not know the extent of your power and I do not know that we would have been able to protect you well enough had you not stayed hidden." She had paused a moment, contemplating what else to say. "Considering that you ran away as you did..." Her voice trailed off and she never finished the sentence. Instead she had begun to sing lightly to herself and stepped away from the group, leading for a short while.

Almost immediately as they entered Avile, Gavin was grinning like a bobcat. She couldn't help smiling either, happiness could be so contagious. She turned to Zek'yral, her smile fading for a moment. She contemplated whether he was worth smiling at yet and the rain got the best of her. Her smile returned even brighter. "That sounds like an excellent idea, Gavin. What do you think, Zek'yral?" She wanted to place her hand on his arm as a friendly gesture, but she refrained from touching him just yet. Traveling together for a day didn't constitute grounds for that kind of friendship. Maybe by the time they returned to Tirol, maybe, if she didn't get angry again. "I would love to be able to change out of this shirt, though. So maybe we can stop by the market first?" She pulled at the stained and soaked white fabric of her blouse. It was pasted to her skin and her undershirt was beginning to become transparent as well. The realization that she was showing way too much skin made her blush. Between her transparent shirt and her bare legs, she had disposed of the lower half of her leggings a while back, she was practically naked. At least that's how she saw it. Now, her hair was soaked and hanging heavily over her shoulders, her blood stained blouse was pasted her skin, her leggings were now only covering her upper thighs and hip area, and her boots only reached to her knees. "I would love to get a drink tonight before we retire, but I would also like to look decent if we are to be out and about in public most of the night."
