- So I'll drive so facking far away I never cross your mind...
-- Pale blue orbs flickered to the damp earth, the stringy grass sponging greedily as the sky shed rain. The boy drew in a long, hollow, soothing breath. Alek wanted nothing more than to retreat, to lock himself away from it all and just drown out all the sorrows, worries, and mistakes. The teen could almost taste the liqueur on his lips. That would have done good right about now, so Alek would have liked to think. To just feel the numbing alcohol set in, and everything just fades after that, as though it didn't matter anymore. To feel the carefree freedom it brought, the numbness to the harsh world. Such a way of thinking was perhaps childish, but Alek didn't know how to handle it all. It was a way of coping, and if it worked, he didn't care the consequences, as naive as this thinking may be. However now was not the time to wallow in his own sorrow, they'd all lost someone special. They were all in the same sinking boat.
-- As soon as the ceremony was drawn to a close, Alek retreated from the burial site. He hadn't talked to any of his friends in a week. Not since any of the news had got out. Not even his own brother. Alek had found a safe, isolated area from the rest, like many to grieve alone, a refuge. A place where he wouldn't feel the tension, only his own. The rain was beginning to get to him, and the boy pulled up a dark hood in shelter. Alek shuddered a shiver as the cold clung to his body, chills snaking up his spine. His gaze drifted out to the cemetery. First, to the shattered and broken up earth where the coffin had been hid away to the rest of the world. And finally drifted to the others. Family and friends of Casey's had attended the funeral, though Alek, regretfully, recognized a few of them. Cody, Elanor, and the others, of course. Alek had no intentions of speaking to them. Not yet at least. He longed to, to rid the isolation the gripped at his bones like the plague, though this was not the best choice, he presumed. Not yet.
-- His mind spun, racing frantically in every which way, scrambled and hazed, screaming and bellowing in his head. There was no conclusion to anything Alek decided. No conclusion as to if he should try and right the wrongs. Or just walk away. Or quite cold turkey, so to speak. Or anything. It was all so confusing, so frustrating, Alek felt vulnerable, trapped. The boy couldn't say he liked it, then again, who would like such a dreaded situation? Alek felt the instinct of anger settle into his nerves. Had not Casey written such a dreaded letter, none of them would be in the situation they were in. They could be there for each other to cope with it all, to comfort, and just feel the safeness of friendship. But there was nothing now, no retreat, no one to fall back on. Though such anger was foolish, he couldn't even begin to feel angry at the girl, even if he tried. She was gone, there was nothing he could do, any of them could do. If Alek could take it back, he would. But there was no going back. They all knew that. However what was to come, Alek couldn't even begin to imagine. Maybe there wasn't anything to come. Maybe he didn't have anything to do with these people in the future, aside from his brother of course. Either way, something had to be done. The question was what?
-- By now most of the people that had attended the funeral had retreated, after paying their respects to Casey and her parents. Eventually the grieving pair would take their leave as well. This left only small group of teens within the cemetery. Alek was well aware of this as he stole a side long glance toward the others. Cody was the firs to catch his attention, he idly wondered what was running through the other boy's mind. Alek could only assume it was the same thing that was going through all of their minds, how Casey could do such a thing. What was going to happen now. Then again, you never knew with Cody.
-- Naturally pale blue eyes would wonder to the pretty face of Sloane. The very sight of her wanted to sooth Alek to the core, but it only took a few quick heart beats, and reality would crash down upon him again. That's right, Sloane was pregnant. He's also managed to cheat on her. Casey was dead, and he was exposed. They were all exposed. Quickly drawing his gaze to the ground below his feet once again, Alek shook his head, another shiver rolling along his spine. Now wasn't the best time to be thinking about how he'd screwed up. Or his friends, like Sloane herself, Cody, Elanor, Aubrey, his brother, the list could go on and on. Alek was supposed to be grieving, and here he was wallowing in his own self pity.
-- Setting his jaw, Alek ducked his head and spun around. He kept his gaze locked firmly on the ground as the boy would numbly carry himself through the grave yard toward his vehicle. Enough of this crap. The boy knew very well he'd have to face them sooner or later, and he probably would, but not now.

- So I'll drive so f*cking far away I never cross your mind...
-- He didn't look back, he didn't dare look back as he wound his way through the graveyard, away from the quiet chaos, so it felt. Pale blue eyes narrowed upon the moist ground, consumed in thought, as Alek was. He was oblivious to the soft prod of approaching steps as the boy paused fumble for the keys at the driver's door. It was the melodic voice sounding behind him that made the boy jump. And just as he'd managed to reel the keys out of his jacket, they fell in Alek's suprise. He knew very well who it was, that soft voice engraved into his skull as though he'd heard it from birth. Alek needn't not to look to see who it was behind him, he could see her face clearly behind his own eye lids, lets alone to have her standing right there.
-- The boy released a slow breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding, and tensely twisted to set pale blue eyes upon the pretty face of Sloane. Alek placed a nervous smile upon his lips, ducking his head almost sheepishly as he knelt to snag the keys once again, and straightened up. "Slomo, hi." The normal Alek would have had more of a confident edge to him, even a little more so flirtatious, he was never afraid to flirt with his girlfriend. But now was certainly not the right time, even he knew this.
-- Despite all the drama that now run about the knit of friends, Alek's feelings never wavered with the girl, despite what she might think. It was suprising to see Sloane, however. The last thing Alek thought she wanted to do was talk to him. He'd been hoping to have a little more time to sort his thoughts, he hadn't even begun to imagine what he was to say. And with a silent swallow, Alek knew very well he couldn't just stand there like an oblivious idiot. Rocking onto his heals, the boy cast a glance at the vehicle, and back to Sloane. She wore but a mere sleeveless black dress, granted, flattering on the pretty girl, but certainly not suitable for this weather.
-- Sloane must have been cold. The boy resisted the urge to wrap his arms around her, and just forget everything that had happened. But he knew very well there would be no forgetting. She probably wouldn't appriciate the affection, anyway. Alek couldn't be sure what ran through her mind, he assumed she was probably pretty damn pissed off, considering he'd managed to cheat on her. "I'm assuming you want to talk, yes?" Talking. The bane of his existence right about now. What guy liked talking about relationship problems, then again, if he wanted this to survive, he probably had to.
-- Pulling back the hood, Alek slipped around Sloane and the hood of the car, beckoning toward the passenger door. He hastely unlocked up and swung open the door, motioning within the vehicle. "You must be cold, care to take a ride?" Alek wouldn't have been surprised if she refused, but it was worth a shot, he'd hate to have her out in the rain much longer.

-- Alek wasn't sure what Slomo wanted to do with the baby, whether she wanted to keep it, or try and put it up for adoption, or simply abort. The thought of being a father at all sent jolts of unease along the boy's spine. He saw the baby almost as a disease. As though he'd went and just ******** up her whole life over one stupid thing. Like he'd hurt her. And Alek had, in fact, hurt her. She probably hated him for getting her pregnant in the first place, and it didn't help to have a sort of side kick, Aubrey. Then again, Alek wasn't the mother, now was he? He really didn't have a say what happened to the kid growing within Sloane.
-- Such thoughts of a baby were simply horrifying, however Alek was brought back to reality as the girl breathed a soft thank you and slid into the car. Alek gave a faint nod, half to himself, and gingerly closed the passenger door. Swallowing, the boy fixed his gaze on the damp ground in a momentary jump of thought as he slid around the front of the car and toward the driver's side. He paused at the vehicle door, drawing in a long breath and running a quick hand through wettening hair before opening up his own door.
-- The boy felt as though he had lost his tongue as he slid into the car and shut the door, banishing away creeping cold. Alek would distract himself with the keys, sliding them into the ignition with a satifecying purr of the engine upon a simple twist. Stealing a swift glance toward Sloane, he set a touch of heat. He wasn't sure about the girl, but he'd managed a chill. "Did you want me to bring you home.. or, any place on mind?" Alek chimed at last. He was thankful for the attention needed for driving, it made him feel less tense about the whole face to face talk with Slomo. And with pale blue eyes set a glance upon the mirrors, then flicking over his shoulder.
-- The vehicle gave a slow roll into motion, set in reverse as they would retreat from the parking spot. The wheel gave a slight turn, in sync with the curl of movement. Alek set his sights ahead of him once again, hoping with any luck, he didn't look as scattered and lost as he felt, so to speak. "So, there's a baby, eh?" Alek had heard, or rather read that Sloane was pregnant with his kid, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to believe it. Or rather, make it a reality. The boy could fele a shiver run along his spine at the very mention, making him feel rather weary. "Any idea as to what's going to happen?" Alek added quietly, with a flash of a glance toward the pretty girl.
-- The vehicle set into drive and slithering through the parking lot, Alek aimed to get the whole baby thing sorted it. He wasn't all too excited about talking about his drinking, or god forebid his cheating.

Well, it's almost like there's two sides to me. The good side, and the... not so good side. I try my best to place on display only the good things about me, and it's not like anyone's perfect. Trust me, I am far from it. Not many people have seen my 'second side', so I like to call it. And it's not like I'm trying to hide it, but it certainly isn't something to be proud about. So here's how it works, I try my best to be an alright guy, at least someone they can stand to be around. I've always been one to enjoy kicking back and just having a good time. I'm rather social, tend not to have natural dislikes toward many people, they'd really have to tick me off to get on my bad list. I'd be willing to make friends with just about anyone and everyone. When it comes to my significant other, I tend to only want the best for my pretty lady. I try my best to be gentle man-like, however I do have my awkward moment.
And you're probably wondering about the other side, yes? Well, as I mentioned, no one's perfect. Neither am I, of course. One of my biggest flaws happen to be my temper. Yes, I've got a temper, and quite the one I must add. However, despite this temper, I was usually never one to start the fights. When I was younger, I tended to be a scrapper. But most of the time, it was my idiot of a brother making some smart remarks to piss either myself off, or anyone really. He seemed to have a sly tongue it seemed, Alek liked to get under every one's skin. Of course, he's never been one to actually fight, like me, but when the other started getting mad, well of course I'd step in, he was my little brother. And it kind of built up from there. I was stubborn, and had a pride to protect, as well as my brother's, sometimes things became serious and out of hand.
Oddly enough, my brother and I never really fought bad fights, I couldn't really actually hit him, he was my brother. Not unless he'd managed to really get my worked up. Usually I'd yell at him, and he'd come up with some witty remark to get me even more fired up. Alek's a pain in the a**, really, he never seems to get mad, but happens to have a skill of pissing others off. He never really got me mad enough to take a swing at him, I usually stormed away cursing. But sometimes we fought... usually turning into some mock wrestle, but the thought was there.
Anyway, the point is, I've always had quite the temper, and sometimes I just needed to let it out. However lately, lately has been different. It's got me running scared, you know? I mean, I've always known I can be a bit unreasonable once 'n a while, but nothing like recently. I guess, I don't know, I think I've gotten into the habit of taking my anger out on Aubrey. The thought itself tears me apart. Part of me wants to think if would be best if I left her, so I couldn't hurt her. But I think I'm too selfish to bring myself to it, I've been hoping things will work out. If I could get some ******** control, I just don't really know what to do, you know?
Anyway, I've kind of trailed off topic, but you get the point.

The History .!x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x
So I was born into a lovely family of four. I must safe, the first bit of my life when Alek wasn't around, that must have been the best time ever. Maybe. If you put it into perspective of having an annoying brother, perhaps. Anyway, so I was born into your average home. Two loving adults had fallen in love, gotten married, and well, you know the rest. Eventually, I came along. Obviously I don't recall what I was like, or what life was like back then, but I later acquired a baby brother. In a way, I guess I was still a baby two, but I had about a year on him. Anyway, Alek and I grew up as any siblings one. As toddlers, we were the best of friends, I suppose. He was good company when we were both young.
When we grew older, we still had sort of a bond, but school, sports, and all the rest, would eventually wear and tear us. It was not only social lives, but Alek and I began fighting. Every sibling fights, yes? Well we were just like any other sibling, we could stand each other, for a while at least, but we still had our differences. Obviously you can tell I have a bit of a cold shoulder toward him, despite the fact our relationship was rather good, but things change, I suppose.
So my brother and I were rather into athletics, though we scarcely, if ever, would play on the same teams. I, personally, didn't fancy playing with him, I think I'd fight with him more as a team mate than I would anything else, heh. But in general, I was mostly into hockey, which was rather time consuming. As for schooling, well, my grades were average, I guess.
I eventually grew close to a particular group of friends, granted, my brother was clumped in their too, but we survived. I grew close to one girl especially, she'd managed to catch my eye from day one, and we became a couple some time later. Her name was Aubrey Carter. She has to be one of the prettiest girls I have ever seen. Things were perfect, I couldn't have been happier. But things started to go wrong. Call me an idiot, trust me, I hate myself too right about now, but I started hitting Aubrey. Usually I can't recall why, and it seems stupid as to how I could get so mad over nothing, but things just seem to blank, like it's not clicking in that I'm actually hurting her. That's the last thing I'd ever want to do to the girl, and yet, I did. I've been kicking myself for it since day one, but the worst thing is, it kept happening.
But that's not the end of it, oh no, certainly not. Particularly, one of the girls in our little group of friends, was like every one's best friend. She was the girl we would go to if were ever needed help, or just needed to vent. For a while, I kept my mouth shut, but eventually things leaked out. The others seemed to be doing this too, as one day, it all just came crashing down. We were informed Casey had committed suicide. I was blown away, she was perfect, the girl wasn't a screw up, nothing, why? That was the real question. However in her death, she'd left behind a note, addressed to her friends. It was read allowed, I could feel my own horror rise in my chest as those words sunk in.
Everyone knew everything, everyone was exposed for who they were. Sloane was pregnant, with my brother's kid. Cody was back into the drugs. Elanor was selling her body. And me? Heh, I was the smarty abusing my girlfriend. As for Aubrey, well, she wasn't scotch free either. Aubrey had begun cheating on me. Worse yet, with Alek, my own ******** brother. Of course I'd be rather pissed off at this, I mean, if the girl wanted to leave me, then do it already. But I can see now that it's more so Alek I'm mad at. I mean, I hurt Aubrey, I wouldn't blame her if she left me. It's just the fact that Alek's cheating on his pregnant girlfriend for Aubrey, my girlfriend. It sort of feels like a slap in the face, you know? And I was oblivious to everything. I guess we're all a pretty messed up group of friends, yes? Heh, well, Casey is dead. And we are exposed.

»“Temper gets you into trouble. Pride keeps you there.”«

- I want you to see, my favourite part of me...
-- Des would have very well liked to have forgotten about it, and just leave it all behind. He thought Aubrey did too, but such a thing was hard to forget, especially when things kept seeming to go into rewind. Repeating itself. Destrey knew a breaking point would come eventually, be it she left him, he wouldn't have blamed her. Or he left her, despite the fact it would tear him apart, if it meant he couldn't hurt her anymore. But he knew he was too selfish to leave, he felt as though he needed her, even if his pride refused to admit it. Destery never would have guessed what was to come, however. No one saw it coming. There had once been a close group of friends amongst he, Aubrey, and the others. They were people Des could rely on, one girl in particular happened to be the go-to girl. She always had that motherly way about her, she managed to keep them all in line, and Destery knew she'd always be there when they needed her. At least, he thought that. In a long chain of events, lets just say the girl brought an end to her life. And in her trail, left everyone one of them exposed for who they really were. Nothing was never as perfect as it seemed, not like they were all led on to believe. Destery was almost crest fallen when he'd learn Cody got back into the drugs, and in chaotic dismay at the fact Elanor was selling her body. She was a nice girl, he couldn't possibly imagine her just, well, you know. And Alek? Well, Alek was Destery's slightly younger brother. Shocker, considering they were considerably different, yet with oddly twisted personalities that managed to get the best of 'em into a mess. Anyway, Alek managed to get his girlfriend, Sloane, pregnant. Destery would have wanted to grin at the silly fact, just to see his smug younger brother stuck in all that crap. After all, he'd always had a knack for doing the stupidest things, like running his mouth off, and getting out scratch free. Better yet, he was an alcoholic, and in being so, happened to get into more stupid stuff, like knocking up Des' girlfriend. Yep, you guessed it, Alek cheated on his pregnant girlfriend for his brother's girlfriend. What a great guy, don't you think?
-- Alright, so Destery's thoughts were a little harshly directed at his brother, but Alek just happened to be the current focus of his irritation. Granted, Aubrey had willingly fallen back on his brother as well, but it would have been naive to think it was simply her fault. After all, Destery had hit her on numerous occasions, she had more than enough right to just walk out. But she didn't. I guess you could say Des was just pissed off because his brother had not only cheated on his girlfriend, but went after Aubrey. It was natural instinct to be mad at Des' own brother, but he knew very well they were all in the wrong, I guess. There would be no pointing fingers, it was all out in the open now. They were all exposed. No more hiding behind masks, no nothing. They would take on the harshness of the world, the harshness of each other, and live with it. Tough love.
-- And the aftermath? Well, all in all, Casey was dead. Everyone would be attending her funeral, and the ceremony would drag to a close. Destery did his best to pay attention, and his last respects, he succeeded in a way. But the kid often found his mind drift and wonder toward the chaos she had left behind. He was oblivious to the fact it was raining, to the fact almost everyone had left, oblivious to almost everything. It was as though his whole being had been consumed by his own mind. However it was the soft touch of a careful hand that sent Destery back to reality. There was a brisk moment of panic and surprise, followed by the natural instinct to shut himself up and place on a sort of mask to hide how he truly felt. However by the time the boy brought himself to twist around and glance back, Aubrey was already swiftly winding away, picking through the cemetery, through the rain. Destery wanted nothing more than to reach after her in a careful embrace, he wanted to comfort her in what way he could, and just her presence, Destery believed she'd be a comfort to him as well. But he couldn't bring himself to do it, no, not after what he had done, not after what had gone down with every. They almost felt like strangers to him, dusty cobwebs of memories clinging to his skull, fragments of what once was. The very sight of Aubrey made his stomach twist, his heart gave a leap. Des was suddenly very aware of the cold and lonely atmosphere that clung to him, he felt as though the wind would tear right through him, his heart threatening to break through his chest, shattering the rib cage like plummeting glass.
-- A long breath passed the boy's lips as he ducked his head from the cold, stuffing his hands into his pockets. Casting a last glance toward the grave stone of poor Casey, Destery cast the faintest trace of a smile, for old times sake. However it was quickly gone once again, expression guarded and careful as he traced the the ground under his shoes with pale hues. He didn't pay much attention to his surroundings as he paced away from the grounds and into the parking lot. Only when Destery would near his vehicle, would he glance up, however his pace faltered at the sight of the pretty Aubrey. She had her head placed delicately upon the pane of glass in the passenger window, Des did his best to recover quickly. He set his jaw, drawing in another long breath. The kid hoped he looked more collective than he felt right about now. With a harsh swallow, Destery slipped around to the driver's side and slipped within the vehicle. He dared not to spare a glance at the girl in the passenger seat, his own mind a shrieking chaos. Fumbling to place the keys in the ignition, the vehicle purred to life, and Destery set it into gear. Pale orbs set over his shoulder, Des could he the blood roaring in his ears as he applied slight pressure to the gas pedal and began the retreat from the parking stall. "You want me to bring you home, I assume?" The boy finally spoke, once again emotions guarded, eyes stubbornly set on the movement of the vehicle and the road around them.

»"You can pretend to be serious, but you can't pretend to be witty."«

- They say that we ain't got the style, we ain't got the class, we ain't got the tunes that's goin to put us on the map...
-- Now that the rambling is out of the way, where were we? Right, so, Destery couldn't even begin to dream of sleep, as strange as that sentence sounded. He could pretty well feel the adrenaline surging through his veins, well, as energetic as one could get, while shut up in a room all night. He spent most of his time that evening looking blankly up at the ceiling, letting his mind wander aimlessly of the days to come. He thought of what it would be like to meet the members of Sound but Soul, or how their lives would change, or even if they would change all that much. The possibilities could be endless. Of course, in a desperate attempt to snap himself from getting distracted, he'd duck back under the covers. Not five minutes would pass, and Destery found himself, once again, growing restless. Things like this were bound to happen, it was just the way of life, not the meeting amazing musicians part, but you know, those days when you so desperately need sleep, but it never seems to find you? That was one of those days, surely it was. The times you needed it most, when you were bound and determined not to be walking dead the next day, and it has to make a jack a** of itself. That is, if sleep could ever make a jack a** of itself. Anyway, again with the rambling. So this was just one of those nights, but you couldn't blame young Des. He was about to meet legends, so he liked to think. Seriously, who wouldn't be eager?
-- So the time was slowly leaking away, it was bound to come sometime, right? Well, eventually it did. Finally, boredom would allow Destery to slip into the consciousness of sleep, and at last, he'd be resting up with what he could before the big day. It was only common and necessary for the blaring yowl of the alarm clock to call a wake up shriek into the silenced room, shattering what could have been a relaxed slumber. It always happened like that, of course, when sleep finally came to Destery, it was already a stupid hour to be up, and when it was time to wake for the day once again, it seemed far to early. A groan of annoyance would pass the boy's lips, and his hand fumbled blindly over to the bedside table to press the snooze button of the alarm clock. Finally, the clock would shut up, and Des fell limp once again, unwilling to get up for the day, as excited as he had once been, the enthusiasm temporarily lacked in his tired state. Again, this was normal. As soon as he'd be on his feet once again, the anxiousness would be back on.
-- Those few minutes came far too early once again, as the clock set out on a wail. Again, the sigh would keep out of the tangled sheets, and Kade reached for the clock to shut it off. The boy stirred reluctantly, and eventually, he'd numbly reach up and turn off the alarm clock once again. However, Destery knew very well that this time around, he couldn't sleep in any longer. A yawn forcing it's way out of his lungs, Des buried his face into the pillow, he wasn't looking forward to see the messy array of his hair, and sleepy features. But he had to get a move on it he were to go anywhere. Stretching luxuriously, he took a moment just to take in the silence, with a long soothing breath, something seemed to click. Today was the day he was to meet the members of Sound but Soul. As though a spike of adrenaline shot through his system, Destery seemed to find the will power to stagger to his feat, of course, the sudden movement send a shrill rush to his head. Balanced threatened, he jolted a stagger, and paused very still for a moment until his vision could unscramble itself once again.
-- The hushed room was semi-lit with the ever climbing sun, casting long shadows from the window sill. He drew in a long breath, ruffling dark hair in numb fingers. Practically still asleep as it was, Destery ghosted toward the door, took hold of the knob, and gave it a twist. The air in the hallway that greeted him was chilly, or at least colder than his own room had been. The hard floors under his feet were just as cold, if not colder, as a shiver ran it's way along his spine on tiny paws. He wrapped his arms around his stomach, often finding simply boxers didn't really cut it for keeping one warm. Eventually his numb sleepiness would begin to ebb as Des sauntered to the bathroom and crept inside. Of course he'd cast a frown at the mirror, his hair a limp fray of static and well, horrible displacement. Fudge, it needed life! But first, a shower, and perhaps some other things. But little details of course! Destery ran a comb through the dark blond threads, of course, he wasn't too keen to take his time, as he'd repeat the process after the shower, but just tame it a little, at least. After having done so, he placed the comb aside and turned on the cold water tap of the sink, placing his tooth brush under the faucet, removing it, and linking it with tooth paste, naturally. Destery froze for a moment, something was off. Glancing around the sink area in hopes to see what was snagging at the back of his mind, he was relieved to finally get the recall. Of course. Gingerly placing the toothbrush down, the boy picked up the floss, flipped the cap and reeled out a string. The mint to the floss was a bonus, and Des had once known a few people that preferred to use the string more as rather than floss, though he couldn't for the life of him imagine why. Anyway, that was a different story. Each tooth was carefully flossed, the string discarded. Finally, he could return to the actual brushing his teeth part of the morning.
-- The paste quickly transformed to foam as Destery thoroughly finished up the brushing of his teeth. With a rinse and spit, of course, he had to repeat the process once again, this time, however, lacking the paste. A few quick beats later, rinse and spit. And at last, the mouth wash, which Destery swirled about his mouth, ticking off the seconds within his head, and finally gave it a spit. Satisfied with the minty fresh feel of his mouth, the boy turned to the shower, reached in, and flicked on the water. He adjusted the taps to their normal temperature, which seemed just perfect for him. A moment later, the water was running hot. Shedding the boxers he would call his pj's, Des stepped into the shower. He took a moment to just absorb the luxurious warmth of the clear liquid. But alas, he hadn't all the time in the world, in which he liked to think. Getting down to business, Destery would see to it that his hair, along with his body and such were squeaky clean before the shower was forced to an end.
-- Steam had fogged up the mirrors, to Destery's distaste as he ruffled his hair with a fresh towel, catching any stray beads of water before wrapped it around his lower torso. Once again, his hair was a mess. But it wasn't such a bother now, because it was controllable at least, and easily molded into perfection. Stealing away the comb from the bathroom, Des slid out of the bathroom, into the cold of the hall, and finally to the refuge of his bedroom once again. Tossing the comb onto the bed, Destery slipped over to the dresser, open, closing, and re-opening several drawers before he found an outfit he found suitable. In fresh cloths, Des had managed to slip into a pair of dark blue jeans, and a casual white collared shirt. It wasn't formal, but at the same time, not really under dressed. Returning to the bed, the boy grabbed the comb, found the mirror, and got to work. He didn't spend horrible amounts of time on his hair, not often, but he didn't like to let it go untended to. In the end, he kept it as he normally did, perfectly messy, not so messy as to be uber messy, but messy enough not to be, well perfect. And yes, thinking literally, that sentence made no sense, but we all get the point.
-- Stealing a swift glance toward the clock, Kade concluded he had better get going. The suite case and duffel bag was placed by the door, in which he'd skillfully managed to shove numerous cloths into. And with a final nod, to himself of course, Kade grabbed his cellular device, and wallet off the dresser and made semi-haste for the suite case and bag. Slinging the duffel bag over his shoulder, of course, and took care of the suite case in the other hand. Kade made his way down the hall, and stashed his luggage at the front door before he spun around and headed to the kitchen. As much as Kade liked to eat, he didn't often have many amounts of food in the house, then again, he was still young and getting along. Slipping over to the fridge, Kade opened it up and peeked inside it. He looked blank at it for a moment, nothing really catching his attention. Closing the door, the boy turned to the pantry next, where he'd raid it for some sort of food. Kade was never a morning eater, bur he knew very well he'd get hungry within the hour, and it was never fun to hold everything up. Nothing. Again. With a sigh, Kade found himself back at the fridge, he did this often, quite frequently reminding himself to stock up, though never really did. With little success, the boy ended up settling with a granola bar from the pantry after the second trip.
-- Tearing away part of the wrapper, Kade stole a bite, absently drumming his fingers along the counter top as he'd hastily eat away at the bar. It's often said the faster you get moving, the faster things get done. In this case, Kade didn't see how that could possibly apply, the faster he got going, the faster he'd get to the airport. But the plane would still be leaving at the same time, whether he was there, early, or missing all together. Swallowing down the last bite, Kade threw out the wrapper and headed back for the front door. He slipped into some runners as he picked up the duffel bag and suite case, taking hold of the knob and opening the front door. After locking it behind him, Kade descended down the pathway to the street, awkwardly fumbling for his cellular with his luggage just as the silver car his mother drove pulled up in front of the house. Jeez, that woman has great timing. She was probably just as eager as he had been, though Kade didn't say anything about his suspicion as she popped the trunk, and he lugged everything inside before sealing it up once again.
-- Walking around the vehicle to take up the passenger seat, Kade lowered himself into the car, closing the door behind him. He cast the woman a smile with a quick chime in greetings. "You know, you didn't have to drive me. I have a vehicle of my own." Kade mused as the car took motion. He reached back for the seat belt, brown eyes casting out the front window. "But thank you anyway, I appreciate it." The boy added briskly. Okay, so Kade was a little different around his family than he was with friends. He wouldn't deny it, Kade was a shameless flirt, but he wouldn't be like that around his family, best not let them down now. He threw a swift glance over at the woman, she had her eyes fixed out on the road, though a smile traced her lips, she was pleased to have helped, Kade assumed. He guessed he just wanted to help with what she could, while she could. After all, he'd taken up a place of his own, nothing too fancy of course, but she was his mother, and probably hated to see her son grow up. Kade couldn't relate, he wouldn't have been able to wait to have the little brats of kids out of his hands, if he had kids that is. Perhaps that's why he didn't see eye to eye, he wasn't a father, despite random hook ups or short term relationships.
-- The woman Kade had been raised to know to be his mother stole a swift glance at her son before setting her sights back ahead of her. Her smile never faded, that was for sure, but she didn't seem wavered by his hopeless insisting. "Oh, nonsense." She replied with that strange motherly affection. "It's no bother, really. Besides, the airport charges outrageous fees to park, it's not like you're just going to be gone for a few days, Kade." The woman was just as stubborn as her son, if not more. And with a slight chuckle, Kade only shook his head and accepted the fact he wouldn't convince her otherwise.
-- The rest of the ride there was pretty casual, with light conversation. Though Kade felt too eager to really get into depth on anything. And as though with a reluctant sigh, Kade's mother halted the car. Finally, they were at the airport. Popping the trunk once again, Kade lugged the suite case and duffel bag out of the car, placing one over his shoulder, and the other secure at hand. Calling farewell to his mother, Kade turned back to the airport, throwing a glance at the sky, before pressing forward. He had to admit, Kade never really likes airports. Despite the excitement of travel people usually had, it seemed sort of glum to him, almost like a hospital. Long, and slow. Maybe it was because of the eagerness, everything was exaggerated. So the time to come was spent getting the ticket, going through customs, giving up his luggage, and waiting for the plane to load. His band members were there, and he exchanged a quick greetings, though Kade was pretty well off in his own world to really be all that buddy-buddy at the moment. And after what seemed to be an impatiently long and torturous wait, the plane would load. A good while later, it hit the run way, and the engines were put into thrust.
-- With the ear popping sensation of the cabin pressure change, to Kade's distaste, he found himself eager to land once again, as most people probably were. However he was often fascinated with the world below, though he didn't find himself paying much attention to that this time around. How could he, was was going to meet Sound but Soul, only one of the greatest bands out there, in his opinion. He wasn't sure how long they'd been on the plane, and by the time they began to descend, Kade was on as eager as ever. To be honest, he was a little nervous. After all, they were just some small time band, nothing like these guys. Then again, this was Kade, he was never nervous. At least, that's what he liked to believe, and appear to act. Swallowing down any nerves, mostly frayed with excitement, the plane hit the runway, and skidded to a slow with protestant landing gears. When the plane was unloaded, Kade would of course do his best to look collected.
-- The wait for the luggage wasn't excruciatingly long, though Kade find himself absently thinking about how the first item of luggage never seemed to be claimed. It was an amusing thought, if you thought about it long enough, which Kade had enough time to do in his failing hopes to distract himself. Finally his belongings would come around, he'd place the bag over his shoulder, and as usual, the bulk of it in his hand. The boy hesitated, casting a glance over his shoulder, he managed to spot Charlee, along with Corrine, and of course the eye catching Tru. In Kade's eyes, all three girls were indeed attractive, however Tru managed to become his recent highlight, but this didn't often stop him from flirting. Besides, she was taken, Kade wouldn't mess with that. Who were they talking too, though?
-- Kade leaned over in hopes to peer around them, and with a startled jump, he recognized the girl almsot as though he'd known her for years. Why, this was Robin, lead singer of the one and only Sound but Soul. Again, his stomach knotted, determined to shake it off, Kade straightened up. He carefully joined the group, placing his luggage aside. "Hello ladies." [coolr=gray]Kade chimed confidently. Some how, the boy managed to gingerly wind one arm around the waste of Corrine, and the other around Charlee. He flashed an apologetic glance at Tru, she would have very well been one of the first girls he would have loved to wrap his arms around, but he wasn't about to screw up her dating life. Of course, the whole band knew Kade, he was a flirt. And most of the time, his flirting with them was harmless, clearly not serious, but the play of amusement. Finally, Kade set his eyes on Robin, his placed a slight grin upon his lisp, thought it lacked the flirtatious note it usually held, for one, this was the lead singer of an amazing band here. Kade wasn't about to screw things up and make an idiot of himself. "Kade Copper, drummer. Pleasure to meet you."

- -- When that bell went there was no relief to Taydin's ears. Why would there be? After all, he, along with the others, would be stuck in detention on this fine Friday night. Oh the joy. At least the kid wouldn't have to suffer through it alone, that was, unless of course they all decided to ditch. The very thought had occured to Taydin quite a few times now, he'd consider it, but he knew very well his very being at this school rested on a fine line. Neglecting punishment would surely get him expelled, and his parents would probably blow a fuse or two. Taydin was certainly not the perfect son, in fact, he was far from it. The kid didn't aim to be perfect, and so he strived to get by in school with, well, what he could and move on in his life.
-- Having skillfully stuffed his binders into his locker, Taydin wheeled around and strolled toward the science room. Yep, he was stuck in detention. The boy held himself tall, in a way of a sort of confidence, each step taken at a leisurely pace. Taydin was certainly in no rush to imprison himself within those four walls, and until he reached them, you can damn well bet he'd take his sweet time. But no walk was to slow, and the kid eventually found his way toward the room. He paused, running a hand through onyx black hair as he set a confident grin upon his lips, as though it were something to be proudly worn as a prisoner of detention.
-- Swallowing, Taydin pressed onward once again, shouldering within the science room. Pale blue hues flashed towards the front of the room, in which the teacher would probably, or normal, have sat guard. With a long breath, he would seek out none other than his jail buddies and claim a seat. Taydin's grin never faded as he sunk into a desk, gaze fixed upon none other than Lorie, Miley, and Bobbie. So he wasn't alone, thank god. "So how are you fine ladies, and of course Bobbie, doing today?" Taydin chimed at last, lean back into his chair with a look of ease.

»“You only live once, but if you work it right, once is enough.”«

- And my stomach is sick...
-- It was then that his guardian, or rather parent brought home another significant other. Destery wasn't sure what to think, and like most kids would, he thought it was a one time deal and that they'd quickly grow board of each other, and he'd never had to see that person again. Heh, well, Destery was certainly wrong in this case. The new found pair grew miraculously close over time, and eventually, they decided to merge families. Now this was weird, so to speak. After all, it felt like he would now be living with people that felt like rather strangers for him, the joys. Destery would now gain two parents, sort of, once again. And a step sister, oh the lucky girl. This girl, Yesenia, was her name, happened to be close to his age, but Des thought nothing of it. After all, she was his step sister, not blood, but the idea was there. After a while, they sort of felt like sibling, sure, he had his differences with her, but at least they could stand to be in the same room.
-- Step siblings they became. Step siblings they would live to be. Or so, Destery assumed this. Things sort of changed recently, very recently. The night before the pair had hit up a wicked party, it was a great party if you asked him, lots of life and whatever else you could be looking for. A game of truth or dare broke out, always amusing, but when the lights would shine upon them, Destery and Senia were suddenly under the glare of the spot light, so to speak. They'd been dared to kiss. In any other case, Destery wouldn't have given a second thought, sure, he could be a flirtatious fellow from time to time, and sought no problem for a light peck, this time was kind of... awkward. After all, this girl was his step sister. Granted, they were in no way related, not by blood at least, but still. You get the point. However his pride was on the line and with the constant cooing and badgering of those attending the charade, the deed had to be performed.
-- The morning that followed had a tranquil sense to it, or at least while locked away within his room. Golden light seeped through the slightly drawn drapes and splashed onto the bed. Like the silent wake up call of an alarm clock, the blond stirred within the tangle of sheets. A minor headache greeted the boy, be it a backlash from the night before, or he simply over slept. As he came to his senses, Destery recalled the night from before, the party, the music, the people, the game. Ah yes, the came. What an interesting game it had been, at least, it was interesting until Destery recalled the kiss, and a wave of shame washed over the boy. He remembered it quite well, how could he not? He remembered the doubt, the pressure, his pride. He remembered the strange sensation he got after kissing Sese, of course he remembered it. After all, he was boy, she was a girl. Do the math. But he also felt the need to rebel such a sensation, it shouldn't have felt the way it had, they were step siblings for god sake!
-- Swallowing a hard knot in his throat, the boy pushed the thought to the back of his mind. Lazily rolling to a sitting position, Destery blinked away the daze with a slight rub of his eyes. He was hungry, that was for sure. Then again, Destery was always hungry. And with a silent conclusion, Destery decided it best not to mention, or even think of the night before, it was probably nothing, after all. With food calling, Destery rose to his feet, rebelled the head rushed and staggered toward his drawers. Before he would eat, however, Destery would proceed with his morning rituals, which consisted of the norm, shower, teeth, and everything else that I happen to be too lazy to mention.
-- Slight time skip. (Because I've lost my muse and gotten lazy. xD)
-- Destery had tossed the towel from his shower into the hamper with the rest of the cloths, feeling all around fresh, and slipped into fresh boxers accompanied by some loose black sweats. It was simple wear, for now, but Des had no plans as of yet, so for the time being, why not be comfortable? With the last yawn of drowse haunting him, the boy ran fingers through damp blond hair. Being too lazy and lacking the care to even attempt to blow dry his hair, Destery decided he'd mold it later, when it was dry perhaps. Drawing in a deep breath, the boy slipped to the door with a twist of the knob. Slipping through the frame, Destery shut the door close behind him and proceeded down the hall and toward the kitchen. Yep, this was a new day, lets make it a good one. Sauntering over to the fridge, pale hues scanned within it's stomach, drawing a blank at first. The teen was obviously hungry, and so he'd raid the fridge until he found something he desired.

- Your promises, they look like lies...
-- Drawing in a slow measured breath, Destery spun around and slipped out the front door. He fumbled for the car keys as he came up to the driver's side, sliding the appropriate key into the lock and giving it a firm twist. It was only a few brisk heart beats and the vehicle had wheeled out of the drive way and propelled forward, following that familiar path to the place Destery would call his school. There was no time to think, really, about anything as the vehicle wound it's way into the school parking lot. Des would spare no time finding a parking spot and brought the car to a halt. He glanced at the time before cutting the engine, grabbed his belongings and stepped out of the vehicle. Shrugging the door shut, once again the boy fumbled for the lock.
-- Destery was about to was just about to find his way into the school when Mister Miles caught his attention. Yep, they were friends, despite the slight differences they had. Okay, so Destery was a little flirtatious too, but nothing extreme like Miles. Destery followed his gaze to a girl in the courtyard, laughing, dancing around, and pretty well just enjoying herself. The sight was rather, well, not something Destery would expect. At first he drew a blank, tilting his head in bewilderment, finally an amused grin painted it's way across his lips as he absently strode forward to flank his friend. "Hey Miles." Destery greeted casually. "Who's that?" He chimed once again with a nod to the new girl.

Oh haii thar. So, I'm searching for a few one on one's, however I do not wish to get in over my head. Now, I'm a rather noob when it comes to one on ones, and have only been in one or two threads like so, but I'd like to give them a shot. However at this times, I'm going to point out that I will probably only be taking on two or three threads, until I get the hang of things. But I'm lenient, and have a problem with saying no, so I'm fairly certain if you can awe me, I'd be all for it. xD
So a little about me and my style. When it comes to characters, I am willing to play both males and females, I really don't care the gender. I have a tendency to play more males, considering that's usually the need of demand in the neighborhood. But I like to play them girlies too. As for sexuality, I haven't really experimented in that area, and tend to only play those of heterosexual nature. I'd say I'm anywhere from a literate to advanced literate role player, I guess it all depends on my role play partner. Trust me, I'm not picky. If my partner can only post two paragraphs, then so be it, I will to(with the exception of the first post.) Erm, when it comes to an age group for the characters, I don't really care, I've never played anyone to be super young, nor have I played anyone to be over twenty-five, but I'm always willing to give new things a shot. Anyway, again, I'm new to this whole thing, and have never actually made a search thread, so I probably missed a bunch of shizz, but just give me a shout if you have any questions. xD
Oh, and how could I forget! Samples!
