- -- Despite Saige's obnoxious and rude arrival, the boy was pleasant enough. After having saved she and he from taking a topple, the boy carried out a soft, genuine expression. His voice carried that same soothing tone, as though willing her to just calm down and take a breather. Adrian didn't seem offended, at least as far as she could tell. And despite it all, his words had a sheepish smile dancing upon Saige's lips. Nonetheless, she launched into her apology and yet again Adrian took it lightly. She had been worried the poor boy would have been offended, maybe hurt by her sudden cowardice. Saige had been in no place to simply up and leave, without an explanation to the kid, stranger or not. The girl was left to oggle at his sincere expresssions and light actions. Anything Adrian may have been thinking about her, possibly ranging from some slut of a girl, to a clumsy maniac remained hidden from his features. Saige couldn't be sure she like the idea of not knowing what may have been going through Adrian's head, but perhaps it was for the best, who was to know what went on behind that handsome mask. Ultimately, the boy accepted her flustered apologies with amusement and a kind heart. The warmth of his all too aluring features set in a thaw to Saige's edgy and sheepish feelings.
-- Saige had managed to pull her composure back together just enough to drink in the situation. Adrian had been, seemingly, just returning from the bedroom. The stranger still possessed that familiar charm that had allured and captured the girl's interest from the very start. And just as the girl straightened up to launch into another babbling fit to explain her return, that husky voice rang in her ears. Saige found herself blinking near dumbfounded at that boyish grin, when his words sunk in. "You were looking for me?" She echoed with a curious tilt of her crown. The concept seemed simple enough, and Adrian did have reason to seak her out. After all, the way she had abandoned him, left him in the dust in her own cold fear, the boy had every right to hunt her down and give her a peice of his mind. Giving Saige an earful; however, did not seem to be what the boy had in mind, for that charming grin and smiling eyes did not spell out frustration.
-- Adrian was kind enough to be to the point, rather than string the girl along in suspense. He reached into his pocket, pulling forth something beyond miss Wright. There was no hiding the curious expression as the boy asked if she had been missing something, and pale hues quickly homed in on his palm. At last, it was revealed. The silver chain leaked like water around the contures of his palm, and the locket at its' heart placed just right. Saige found herself soaring once again, as her whole mood and persona lifted and lightened at the sight of her necklace. Smirking from ear to ear, Saige snickered at the boy's teasing. Hugging the locket close to her chest, the girl looked up appreciatively toward mister Adrian. "My god, thank you so much! You have no idea how much I appreciate this, so, thank you, again." Saige chimed enthusiastically, resisting the urge to pull her arms around him in a big embrace. The girl just might have, had she not been resisting such affection after her earlier run out on him.
-- Ducking her head to pulling the string of lace back around her neck, Saige looked up when Adrian spoke up. She managed a smile, sweeping aside the messied bangs intruding on her face. "Oh yeah, well... I came with my friend, and I can't just leave her." This may not have been entirely true. Lizzy had been attending these silly parties for as long as the girl could remember, her friend was much more of a party goer than Saige, that was for sure. Lizzy could most certainly handle herself, hell, she attended these parties far more than Saige, she didn't need a wingman. Saige had long ago debated walking home, or mooching a ride off someone, that; however, the girl was not so sure about. "What about you?" She chimed, pulling herself from a labrynth of thoughts. "Did you come with anyone?" What was this, small talk? Saige was never good with it, nor talking to strangers period. It took a long time for the girl to warm up to new people, had it not been for the booze previously acting on her system, she never would have dared whisper a word to the cute boy in the first place. Saige longed for the familiar walls of her house, but she owed Adrian a conversation after all she had done to he, small talk until he bid her away anyway.
