Hello! And welcome to my roleplay, ʛuaʀ∂ɪaɴƨ oӻ ʟeʛeɴ∂. I want to start this little mini-intro with thanks to my friends on gaia, who helped me with decisions like number of characters, which to ditch, etcetera, etcetera. Thanks for the feedback~ Okay, this Roleplay is literate. Not advanced, in my opinion. All I ask for is two paragraphs. It has room for many, many people. Around thirty characters! I couldn't believe it amounted to that much, but hey. Everyone loves to meet new friends! I am definately not making any more characters than given, though. Also, I want this to be long term. And not a week long either! I hope you consider joining~ Oh, and DON'T steal my format! I worked really hard on this. Please, please, pleeeeeeaase don't! That is all. C:

And the newest, Vasdo.
These regions…They hold many interesting things. Intrigue practically flows through the air as you walk through the regions, with their strange shops, items, and people. But the most odd? The creatures. These animals with strange powers and appearances. Some have vines amassing their whole body and others, scythes coming out of their heads. They can sing people to sleep or make them faint with a single look. They have fruit growing out of their long necks and flowers from their backs. Their tails are on fire, yet they do not burn. Electricity can run through their bodies and cause them no pain. These creatures are called…Pokémon.

Ten aspiring trainers, breeders, and coordinators awakened, refreshed and excited. Ten daring young boys and girls. and that day they would be getting their first pokemon. And one from an odd region!
In Vasdo, the pokemon are colored quite oddly. Take an eevee, for example. In Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh, an eevee is brown with cream accents. In Vasdo, however, eevees are silver with white accents. It can take a while to get used to, but some if these teenagers are already Vasdo-born. They are used to the oddities.
But something the trainers don't know is, the pokemon they obtain are...extra special. They have been given the ability to speak the human word! And they're going to use that extraordinary power of speec to tell these kids the world is in danger!
Everyone knows of the "Legendaries," right? The pokemon that can never be caught and only one of each lives on? Well, each legendary has a guardian. and these guardians are human...but not. They can shift into an incredible form; half human, half legendary! They are forever in sync with their legendary and are devastated by what's happened.
You see, an evil man and his faithful servants have a plot to take over the world. And to do that, he must have the legendary pokemon. But he has no need for their guardians of course. With cunning and trickery, he stole the legendary pokemon and left the guardians to cry out in the night for their beloved partners.
The legendary pokemon are now locked up, chained and bound, in a secret place. Though they and their guardians are normally in sync, they now cannot hear them at all! It's worrisome and the pokemon are frightend, scared, and angry. But the man doesn't care. As long as he will win, he will be happy.
These ten trainers are the only hope for the Legendary pokemon. They have a small amount of time before the evil man takes over, and as of yet they are armed only with their new pokemon, who have shown them how powerful they really are.
Who will win? Who will lose? Type the words and you tell me.

“Weeeeeeellllll Hi!” An enthusiastic young woman approaches you as you walk into the large lab with a small group of other kids. She seems like she’s just turned twenty one and is dressed in a black lab coat that is obviously too big for her. One hand in the air, the other on her hip, she smiles at you. The sleeve of the hand that is up is now bunched up on her shoulder, revealing her slender arm, while the other has consumed her hand entirely, save for the tips of her fingers. Her glasses are a shocking yellow that contrasts with the dark black of her coat and her hair is grassy green like her emerald eyes. The woman is quite odd in her appearance and enthusiastic in nature. A part of you may hope that she is not Professor Evergreen.
You are standing with other children as old as you. They're all aspiring to be the top trainer, coordinator, breeder, or professor, just like you. Maybe you know a kid or two, maybe not. Most have traveled from a completely different region and some just took a five-minute walk down, but either way, you’re here in the lab of Professor Evergreen and can’t wait to receive your first pokemon.
Ms. Evergreen smiles and says, “You all know why you’re here, right? You lucky little creatures are about to receive your first pokemon!” As she speaks, a black blur shoots out from behind and catapults itself onto her head. “Bree! Bree!” The blur becomes clear as it stops moving on her head and she looks up at it. It is an umbreon, an odd one at that. Its spots, which would normally glow yellow in the other regions, glow bright blue in this one. She smiles and removes the small umbreon from her head and into her arms. “Like my little Doll, here! Pokemon are so odd in this region. Most of you have come from Sinnoh, Hoenn, even Johto and Kanto! The pokemon here are…different. They’re special, differently colored. We don’t know why only Vasdo region pokemon are like this, but they are. You all are quite lucky to be here.” She reassurringly strokes the umbreon’s fur as she speaks, calming Doll down.
If you had never been there, you can only stare in awe. Back home, that umbreon would have red eyes and yellow glows. But here…well, you had only glimpsed some pokemon on the way. They had looked odd. Ms. Evergreen snaps her fingers, bringing you out of your day dream. “Come with me children. Meet your new partners.” You follow the eccentric woman, wondering what odd pokemon await.

Ms. Evergreen leads you and the other teenagers into a different room, the bottom of her purple lab coat drags behind her. The room you enter is white, just like the last, and there are many pokeballs sitting neatly on the shelves. There is a long table in the middle of the room and Ms. Evergreen gasps when she sees it. “Oh no! I forgot!” She quickly bounces around the room, getting a pokeball from each shelf and carrying them in her arms. After acquiring ten, she neatly sets them on the long table. She gives you and the group a sheepish smile and says, “Umm…Just pretend they were already there when you walked in, kay?” She rubs the back of her head in an embarrassed manner.
After all the pokeballs are arranged on the table, she looks up, smiling. “These are your pokemon. Of course, you all have sense enough to know that the pokeballs are not the actual pokemon. They are held inside the pokeballs. You all can only choose one, no being greedy. And only one of these ones on the table. All the other pokemon on the shelves are off limits. Now, let’s reveal these darlings.” One by one, Ms. Evergreen goes to each pokeball, picking it up and pressing the white button on their fronts.
Out of the first pokeball, pops out a small silver creature. Its tail is tipped with a snowy white color and a collar of thick fur is wound around its neck. It purrs as Ms. Evergreen gives it a pat between its long ears before she moves on to the next.
The second pokeball releases another vulpine figure. Its fur varies with different golden hues. It sits firmly in spot, patiently waiting to see who would choose it.
The third pokeball, the third creature. At first, it seems as if nothing comes out. But Ms. Evergreen just smiles as a blue ball of gas appears next to her and licks her cheek with its long tongue. She laughs and directs it back to its spot. It “sits” at its spot on the table.
The fourth pokeball let out a timid white creature. It looks like it has a blue helmet with gold plates sticking out. Ms. Evergreen gives it a light pat and moves on to the next.
The fifth pokemon is ecstatic when released. You can see the electricity flowing through its pale yellow body and pink cheeks. Ms. Evergreen laughs and pinches the little rodent's right cheek before moving on.
The sixth pokemon doesn’t seem amazingly excited to be out. The silver collar around its neck matches the tips of its two pronged tail. It looks over to the teenagers, bored, and crossed its blue finned arms.
Seventh pokemon’s turn. When released, it cries out gleefully, shoving its white clawed arms into the air. The pink of its fur greatly contrasts with its dark type and Ms. Evergreen laughs at its enthusiasm.
The eighth pokemon is let out and wants back in after the bright lab lights hit its eyes. The spidery pokemon narrows its eyes into slits and starts playing with its front purple striped legs.
Second to last, the ninth pokemon is made entirely of green vines. The only other appendage you can seem to see are red “shoes” under it. The odd little pokemon looks out at the others curiously and slightly confused.
The final pokemon comes out with a loud cry. Its hard shell is pink hued and bright blue eyes stare out at the trainers, excited and pleading to be picked.
Ms. Evergreen smiles as the final pokemon is revealed. “Here you have them. Each a different type. Let’s see…Who will choose first?” She puts a hand to her chin, pondering. You hope desperately you are picked, so that you may pick the pokemon you want and not let anyone else get it. She smiles and points a finger at you. Then points to the others in turn, saying, “Eeni, Meeni, Miney, Moe! Catch an arcanine by the toe.” When she finishes, you sigh in relief. You were picked first. You cautiously step forward, already knowing which one you wanted.


I realize I was slightly vague with the descriptions, but here are each pokemon in the order shown:

I know it's not the traditional Fire-Water-Grass, but this is not a traditional roleplay. I did not use any original starters either. Why? Because I know many people would b***h at me about how I used charmander instead of Torchic or someother stupid s**t like that.

Region



The region is vast and with lush exotic plants. All pokemon of every region before roam, but are quite oddly colored. Though, in Vasdo, It is quite normal. There are many mountains to the east of this region. As the mountains go farther up, it becomes colder and more desolate. This is where Veck, Leader of Team Legend, and his cronies reside.
All across the land, lakes are common, like the exotic plants. Many towns fill up this region.



Chimchee Town: Small town with many trees and bushes that sits right in the middle of Vasdo, surrounded by a large forest. If you want peace, then this is the place to find it. Nothing much happens in this small town, except for when Prefessor Evergreen starts handing out pokemon..

Rizdo Town: This town is far south in the Region of Vasdo. This town is very technological and hi-tech. It's a large town and even has a convention each year for aspiring professors. Many professor celebrities like Professor Oak, Professor Rowan and others come to visit this convention and give advice to the young students.

Pettiburg- This town is on the edge of fashion, pokemon and otherwise. The streets are lined with stores. Everything and anything can be up for purchase in this town. It sits near one of the many great lakes in Vasdo. It's the one place where someone can buy whatever they're hearts desire.

Limtown- There is one thing that everyone comes to see in this town. Ruins yet to be figured out. These ruins are said to be a direct Link to certain legendary pokemon and the reason for why Vasdo Pokemon are the way they are. These ruins also have a large amount of "ruin maniacs", men and women obsessed with the ruins, who just adore a good battle. This is located near the base of the mountains on the Western side of Vesdo.

New Sapp- This is a town for those who like a good gamble and are willing to risk it all. But you will lose usually most or maybe all of what you've gambled. This place really isn't too pleasant. It is what most would call a slum town. While most places in Vasdo are lovely, this town has gambled it' way to the horrid place it is to day. This is where al lot of grunts from team Legend will be found around. This is located not to far away from Rizdo Town.

Divport city- This is the biggest city in all of Vesdo. This is where every person, young and old, will come to have a great time at a lovely restaurant or a great little a holiday at the beach. For those that live here year round, they can only really live a vacation life. This place is Paradise. Huge beaches that are never crowded, just because of how many beaches there are! There are no sky scrapers in this city, the tallest building is only three stories high. But this city is the largest city because it takes up very large amount of land. This town also has a dark side, a small gang of Pokemon have been stealing al lot of tourists objects. Their Pokemon have even harmed some of this cites guests!

Silver Forest- This is bug Pokemon central. It is the home of a park just for the bug Pokemon of Vasdo. This park is where bug Pokemon are allowed to bond with their trainers while taking a walk around in the large park. This place is not advised for people scared of bugs, obviously.

Silow City- This city is the one known for their amazing contest hall. Every town has a contest hall, but this was where Pokemon contests all started in Vasdo. This contest hall is the largest in all of vasdo, in fact there are barely any homes where people live! But many coordinaotrs don't mind. It is a mere three hour walk on foot from Silver Forest.

⋙ This is a LITERATE RolePlay. I shouldn't have to explain what that means, but I will. For this RolePlay (like many of my others) You must be able to post at least two paragraphs with seven to ten sentences each. I will not accept less. I will harp the the life out of you if you post less. I will love you forever and ever if you post more; there's no max. But try not post gigantastical posts that take a minute to scroll down.
Each post must be filled with grammatical splendor and rainbows of description! I will accept a few typos here and there, but try not to constantly. And If you think I accepted a person who isn't literate, then don't pm me about it. I have my reasons.

⋙ Like said before, good long posts. Also, pretty posts make me happy and I like being happy. I won't make anyone go and spend hours on a post format, but I really would like at least full name and picture. That's not too much to add everytime.
Font! Joyous font! Well, anyway, I love size nine font. It is my precious baby~ And size twelve is my beloved neice. So, no more than twelve and no less than nine sized font. Anything bigger or smaller is pretty obnoxious to read.
If you're going to make a format, please for the love of god, do NOT use blinding colors!!! Everyone hates them. If you don't know if a color is too light, pm me using the color and I will tell you.

⋙ Yes, this is a pokemon roleplay. That means there will be fighting. But I have limits. While I don't want this to be as un-graphic as the anime, I don't want it ba all gore and guts either. So the most you can do is 'Faint' a pokemon. Yes, if you bite them. they bleed a little. If you spit fire at them, they burn a little. But you cannot rip out their intestines and strangle them with them. Thats just wrong. So, you can injure them...meehhh...kind of badly. But nothing too gory.
I love romance~ but I hate insta-romance. That means Sally looks at Bob and then blurts out a love confession when she met him five minutes before. I don't like that. So, it's like this. There can be already romance between trainers from the same town, legendaries, and villians. They've already known each other and that potential is there. But I dont want a lot of insta-romance between legendaries and trainers, villians and trainers, and trainers from different towns. Let's review.

⋙ Okay, first off, evolving. No insta evolution!!! Like Pichu. You and Pichu must be great friends before it can evolve. No matter how happy Pichu's personality is, you still have to have known it for a long while. Stone Evolutions. No being lucky and finding a fire stone as soon as you walk out of the lab. You CAN have gotten a gift from you parents with a three peice evolution set or something like that, but don't immediately evolve it.
Moves. The pokemon can have more than four moves. They can use moves they didn't list in the profile. As long as it's a move they can learn, it's okay. And something I guess I should point out, even though it's common sense, IF IT HAS WINGS IT CAN FLY. THE TRAINER DOESN'T HAVE TO TELL IT TO FLY. And any other common sense things like that. If you think someone has broken the rules, PM me and I will tell you if they did or not. If they did, I will take action. Please go by Serebii.Net's PokeDex. That way, everyone is on the same level with moves and I don't have to go searching everywhere for a move.
When in half form, Guardians have shiny legendary attributes. But the legendaries themselves are normally colored.

Yes. Little miss Jolie is very far away from her home, but the truth is as soon s she got her first Pokemon, a very protective totadile, she was out of that town and to a new place in a heart beat. Even though she is young, she has been to every region, and when she was on one of her many trips to another region, she met Suicune. Not in a very special way. It was just like a normal meeting of a person and a Pokemon. Except it was very obvious that they formed a very quick friendship and Jolie became suicunes guardian. But nobody knows that and she refuses to tell anyone. Suicune is a very sought after Pokemon. Suicune races around the world to purify tainted lakes. In other words, Suicune is not a Pokemon that enjoys fighting or violent activities.

Where ever Suicune went, Jolie soon followed,because of a promise Jolie had made with the Pokemon that she refuses to break. This promise was to protect suicune from the horrid people out there who wanted to use Suicune for evil. Which is quite a large amount of people. Jolie has been all around the world, she has over the years become one of the most famous Pokemon coordinators in the world, as well as a very well known breeder. People say that because of how well each and every one of her Pokemon are treated they will protect her no matter what. Especially her Pokemon Houndoom and Feraligatr.
