Lorelai was silent. She knew she had messed up big time at this game. Then again, who can blame her? She accidentally let Eileen die when she got a phone call from a potential college. She was in a hurry to beat the game, so the only went in the apartment when she absolutely had to. So, she watched the worst ending begin and cried a little for poor Henry Townshend. It was horrible his life was going to end that way. But, she know the only thing for it was to erase the data and start anew.
Or was it really?
She sat on her bed as she watched the screen turn black, prolonging the agony of hearing the television announce Henry's demise. She grabbed a small antique box from her night stand and took out a ring. It was old, but so pretty. The old man at the flea market practically gave the thing away. What a pity. It looked so nice. She put the ring on and looked at that instead of her small TV screen.

Meanwhile, in apartment 302 of South Ashfield Heights, worlds away from the girl, Henry Townshend was dying. His body was an unholy mess and barely recognizable to people who claimed to know him. His killer was standing over him, waiting for Henry to steal his last breath. He let his eyelids slide down, not wanting to see that blue coat anymore. He'd failed. Totally failed. The one he loved was dead, and he was going to follow her to oblivion. He prayed silently for a miracle. He swallowed one last gulp of air, savoring the feeling of air inflating his lungs before....

Lorelai looked at the man that was lying on her red shag carpet. Dear God. It was Henry Townshend. How did this happen? He was just pixels on a screen. He wasn't real. She shook her head. He was real now, she guessed. She knelt by his side and gently shook him awake. This made no sense. Not only was he here, but he was alive.

Henry took another breath. Huh? Wasn't he dying just a moment ago? He opened his eyes. Huh? This wasn't his bedroom. He looked up at the girl that was kneeling next to him. That wasn't his killer. "You...I think you saved my life. Unless I'm in Heaven. Then, I guess Heaven isn't what they say it is."
The girl shrugged. "This isn't Heaven." She helped him up and smiled. "I'm Lorelai Sanderson."
"Lorelai. Pretty name." Henry smiled. "I'm Henry Townshend."
"I actually knew that." Henry looked at the girl in shock. Lorelai laughed. "It's OK. I'm not stalking you or anything." She looked at the instructions that had fallen out of the box when she threw it down to help Henry. It told her of some sort of Battle Royal. She turned to Henry and sighed. "Are you up for one more fight?"
Henry frowned. He shook his head. "But I don't think I have a choice." He said sadly.
