If Sasuke was ever nervous, it was now.
He obviously didn't know what he was doing, abandoning his team and traveling back to Konoha, his home. He knew that the hokage would not let him stay here, unless the blond headed Naruto had convinced him. It was likely, since Naruto was rather confident of getting Sasuke back. He didn't have to worry about that now.
But soon he had the Hokage's permission to stay, after a message was sent from the two guards.
There the young Uchiha was, at the gate of Konoha, attracting the stares of the two men who guarded the gate as he walked away. His onyx eyes scanned the area in front of him, pretty satisfied on the new buildings of Konoha. After the blast, they seemed to rebuild pretty quick, drawing the slightly impressed Uchiha's attention.

Walking at a slow pace through Konoha, he glanced at all the food stalls and shops, ignoring the muttering people whose eyes were glued to him. The news would soon spread that Sasuke was back, and his old team would be out to search every corner of Konoha. Then, fan girls will crowd him, if the suddenly turn to liking him again. Sasuke wondered if they ever even thought about there precious Sasuke.
He suddenly had the need to go off to the old Uchiha estate, just to see if it was still there. Wondering if the explosion Pein caused had reached that part of Konoha. Spinning on his heal, he head the opposite way into town, hoping dearly. that his home that belonged to him eight years ago was not damaged.

Picking up a few stranded wood pieces out of his way as he approached where his estate was, he smiled in relief as it was confirmed that it wasn't blown over. Sasuke walked past the ripped plastic warnings of 'do not enter' strips, stepping gracefully onto the unharmed land. He took a few more steps further into the estate, smirking lightly.

"Mother, Father... I'm home," he said vaguely, not struggling to keep the happiness out of his voice.

Sasuke took a bite out of his dango, savoring the taste slightly. He hadn't had dango in about a year, and oh, how he missed it. It was one of his favorite foods. The sauce was nice with it.
Taking another bite, he rested the stick down, ignoring the fan girls squealing at him from behind. He wanted to cripple their faces. He loathed them so much. Seriously, he thought once and a while, that Naruto would not give up, and just keep chasing after him, but that was nothing compared to these girls. He had forgotten what it was like.

Ordering another plate of dango from the waitress, he smirked at the girl lightly as she weakly ranted to herself about those fangirls. He hadn't expected Sakura to be so normal around him, even if she was avoiding him. What he had expecting was something like 'Oh, Sasuke-kun, I'm so glad your back! I've missed you oh so much!' But the raven haired boy knew he was wrong. It was either she had matured, or she was balling it up inside of her.

The Uchiha lazily looked up to the waitress that was eying her as she handed him her plate. He frowned slightly, but didn't blame her for it at all. She was just a bit surprised, even though she hardly knew who he was. Or it was the fact that he was overly good-looking,

Mika, the waitress, looked away as soon as he glanced at her, a tint of pink on her cheeks. He was being influenced that every girl was like this now, blushing and giggling every time a guy looked at them.Sasuke eyed her still before glancing over to the pinkette beside her, a smirk growing onto his face.

"Hn," He grunted at her comment about the girls being pretty. Not his taste, not the girls who squeal and would try and rape him at any moment they could. Sasuke didn't really think about girls, or otherwise, because he was much more focused on other more important stuff, and was rather busy most of the time to give a damn.

The Uchiha sighed, glancing at Sakura as she left. He considered talking to her, but decided not to. He had to get settled into his apartment, unpacking most of his stuff. He pushed his plate further away for Mika to collect, sitting boredly, thinking. Mika hurried over to him before sticking her head over the table, looking both ways on the streets curiously. She then faced to Sasuke, a glint in her eye.
"You should of talked to her," She said enthusiastically, putting her hands on her hips. Sasuke didn't give a damn, but stood up, picking up his bag.
"Thanks for the meal," he said before heading off, not bothering to brace himself for the fangirls crowding him. They were really crazy these days. He pushed on miserably through the crowd, ignoring their squeals. Soon he reached his apartment, and put his stuff down. It was about time he visited the Hokage to receive any word on missions, or to get his headband back. Or a new one, if Naruto had smothered the old one to much.

As soon as he had finished putting his stuff out, he walked out of his apartment and walked all the way to the Hokage tower. People stared as he walked, and he knew this was going to be usual for the next week or so. Everyone knew about Sasuke leaving, and were surprised that he was finally back. Who wouldn't know an Uchiha anyway? They were all well known, until they had all died out, besides Sasuke, Itachi and Madara.
Boredly, he knocked on the hokage door gently, waiting for a reply. He heard a 'come in' and obeyed, opening the door and walking inside. Tsunade eyed him curiously as he stood before her, but her eyes soon gentled, sighing.
"Yes, Uchiha Sasuke?" She asked, her fingers entwined in front of her face. He kept the whole emotionless face on, standing still while he answered.

"My hitai-ate," He stated mindlessly. Tsunade nodded, opening a draw at the side of her desk which contained a lot of new, shiny head-bands. She took one out and handed it to Sasuke before sitting back in her usual position.
"Also, I'm teaming you up with team Kakashi again. You will have missions in the few days, so you will be informed by your team, or summoned her by myself." she stated. Sasuke nodded blankly before walking out, jumping off the ledge and landing at the bottom level safely. A feeling swelled deep inside of the raven-haired boy, not being able to wait until his first mission in years. But, Naruto would always get in the way, as usual, and piss him off with his annoyingness. Sasuke, being himself, could wait for that. He could wait his entire life for that.
