▣xxxxxAvery is the second born child. Technically, he and his brother were born two minutes apart, but all his life he has been told that he is the younger twin and that nothing changes that. Avery and Elliot Evans were born to Melissa Evans, proud mother and museum curator. The boy's father was what their mother called a 'donor', meaning he left her at the first word of pregnancy. Avery learned some time later the man had been killed in an accident, but he has felt no attachment to him whatsoever. Their mother had it all covered anyhow--she is in all respects, a good mother.
When they were young, Avery and Elliot would go to their mother's workplace after school and spend hours in the galleries and exhibits waiting for their mother to get off of work. Understandably, Avery developed an early interest in history, especially the medieval times. He often pretended to be a part of the exhibits much to the security guard's dismay. And despite his childish antics, it was clear that from a young age, Avery was a gifted boy. He had a natural aptitude for history and art. It's a wonder what a sense of curiosity can do for a person.
His twin was however different from him. Elliot grew to resent the museum. Their mother spent hours working overtime and he was not allowed to go out with his friends after school. Instead he felt cooped up in the museum and was not at all susceptible to its mysteries and magic like his brother. He also grew a passionate hatred for his twin and felt overlooked whenever his mother would dote upon 'the freak'. It didn't take long for this anger to manifest outside of his mind. He first hit him. Right in the eye. Avery's eye swelled up and he ran to his mother, being very attached, and Elliot was grounded for weeks. It didn't stop him though. He acted out. Elliot even tried to steal a valuable vase from an exhibit. That was the turning point for their mother. Elliot was sent to live with his drill-sargeant grandparents for the next month.
Avery thought that once the month was over, he would have his twin brother back. That they would play and laugh like they used to. Instead, Elliot decided to stay in that city far away. Avery, who had been bullied by his brother, still loved him. To ignore the sudden separation and the feeling of being unwanted, he delved into his studies…and Chromaggia. He skipped sixth grade and entered a private high school early. Due to his intelligence, blunt observations (which usually had good intentions) and his age, he was once again unwanted, but by his peers. Because he had a copious amount of free-time, due to the lack of social life, he spent a borderline unhealthy amount of time on Chromaggia. He fell in love with it. It was the perfect escape and just challenging enough. He slept less and less, but he also learned to play the game and study just enough to breeze through school.
His mother was proud the day he entered college two years ahead of schedule. Said he was her number one, but he felt guilty when he heard that his brother was going down a path almost polar to his. Elliot had succumbed to the 'darker' side of high school and had not coped well at all. He drank excessively and partied far too hard. He eventually dropped out and began working. He doesn't talk to his brother much but he does for his mother, who refuses with a broken heart. He avoids the topic of his brother out of embarrassment and fear. Years passed and Avery graduated at age 20 and enrolled in graduate school…still playing Chromaggia. He had reached Sky Shaman a year before and felt accomplished in his life. The game provided a comfort that even school could not provide. For the past year he's been playing the game alongside his studies.
p e r s o n a l i t y
▣xxxxxAvery is a naturally inquisitive fellow. If he doesn't know something, chances are you'll find him with a nose in a book or glued to the screen researching everything about it. He's obsessive with knowledge. Says it's a distraction just like the game. He tends to prefer books and animals to people, which is problematic to say the least, but he blames his lack of social life for the past five years or so. He fairs well enough in conversation and daily conversation with others, but when it comes to actually getting to know a person, he tends to chicken out. He feels like he'll only screw it up all over again and therefore opts out of potential emotional pain. He's an aloof person. He tries to walk a certain line.
You'll find that he is hardworking in game. He wants to get everything done in the next five minutes. He's very impatient with distractions and with mediocrity. He's highly self-critical and tends to go off on muttering tangents about how useless he is. His self-deprecating humor and speech is at times painful to witness. Trust that he'll never directly or intentionally insult another player though, oh no. He is afraid of stepping on toes. He knows that as a defensive player he needs other players. Besides, the game is no fun if there is no one else to play with. Then there is the fact that his biggest fear is abandonment.
He can be stubborn too. He won't say it outright, but if he doesn't get his way, he'll find subtle ways to act like a jerk. He's used to player a 'leader' type of position in academics, but he's learned to play backseat in game. This frustrates him at times, he doesn't like to be overlooked or rejected. Not anymore. He's an observant person as well and tends to speak without filter. Most of the time it's well-intentioned, but that doesn't excuse his lack of apology afterward.
a b i l i t i e s
▣xxxxx Emra did not start out as a Sky Shaman, oh no, that's quite impossible. He started out as a Shaman, a basic playable career one can choose when they first start playing Chromaggia. Emra chose this career without trouble as he is not the most attack-oriented person on the planet and because he is a Sylph, a humanoid air spirit. But we'll get to that later, okay? Ha-ha...
Shamans, at their cores, are healers. They deal with all sorts of spells and magic but healing is a primary function. This automatically labels them as a defensive type, or for some like Emra, as a player who prefers to work in groups where they don't have to worry about the attack. When a player is just a Shaman, they are the lowest level of their craft. Typically they choose a path of magic to take and to train in and eventually become another kind of magic-wielder. For Emra, this was the path of the Sky Shaman.
Now to become a Sky Shaman, there are a few requirements. One, you obviously have to be a shaman. You should've known that. Second, you have to be at least level 40 to begin a path. Third, you must secure a flying mount, whether it is the one that delivers you to the Region of Sky or not, and it must be bonded to you as its lone rider. Then there is the Dragon Queen! Of course she is too busy to have an audience with an individual player so she takes you in groups of 10-15 Shamans. Then comes the hard part. The trials. A series of tests designed to weed out the weak and challenge the strong. They test a rider's flying abilities as well as combat skills whilst flying. They test the rider alone. They test the mount alone. (How Tithdaemon ever managed on his own is a miracle.) They are grueling and at by the end, only four or five Shamans remain. Emra was one of the lucky few. The remains of the group are immediately 'promoted' to Sky Shaman.
When a regular Shaman gains a title, the potential for magic increases exponentially, no matter what path they take. The Sky Shaman obtains a great capacity for a sky-related element. Emra's choice was a natural one. Remember the whole Sylph thing from earlier? A Sylph in Chromaggia is part of the Elemental group. They are humanoid air spirits, elementals of air. They are naturally aided by the air and wind around them, it's attracted to them and helps their speed. So while he already had that in his favor, Emra opted for the obvious, the wind. At first glance, controlling air doesn't seem like it would be very powerful or useful. It's always pushed aside as a classical element--people rather control fire or earth or water. But as Sky Shamans prove, air is a force to be reckoned with. Emra sees it as an agreeable option and the most ideal for his person. Since he loathes the battlefield and hurting other players, he chose air as it has the smallest chance of inflicting fatality on other players. Combined with his Sylph advantages, he has the potential to be a formidable opponent...just don't tell him that. His ability is a mana drain though. Spells eat away at his mana bar if he isn't careful. He needs time to recuperate after launching a few whirlwinds or cyclones at a target. If he does not have any elixirs on his person (and thankfully due to his stinginess, it's rarely a problem) he may remain idle and slowly gather mana from the air around him. The process is quicker in natural light so he avoids the Regions of Hell and Darkness.
As it was briefly mentioned before, Shamans at the core are healers. This does not change when a Shaman achieves a title. Even as a Sky Shaman who has chosen lightning as his call, Emra is first and foremost a healer. This is mostly by choice. He loathes action on the battlefield and rather stick to the outskirts, healing his allies left and right. This makes healing his primary choice in all things. Lightning is secondary.. This is why he prefers the defensive stance, the daytime, and why he carries so many elixirs on his person at one time. Almost everything he does centers around his mana fortitude. Small spells need small amounts of mana and powerful spells need large amounts of mana.

4 Warm weather. He despises the cold! Give him sunlight and a grassy field to lay in.

- 1 Valkyrie, staff. Aptly named, Valkyrie is Emra's weapon of choice. He was rewarded with the staff when he reached a certain level of his position. When he recieved the staff, he was given a matching blue gem and it was sealed onto the right palm of his gauntlet. The gems act like a kind of magnet, meaning he is able to 'call' Valkyrie to him if it is in range. Without the staff he is unable to use major spells. He can manage minor spells, like his weakest healing charms, but he needs Valkyrie in order to cast anything big. He is very protective of his weapon for that very reason. It is difficult to replace a staff.
2 Cursed Totems. If Emra is low on mana, he may choose to drop a totem or two. They act like bombs but instead of exploding outright, cursed totems inflict, well, a curse. It does not last long at all, but each action an opponent takes in the following ten to fifteen seconds, causes damage to their body. It gives him just enough time to find a new vantage point for casting.
3 Blessed Totems. Like Cursed Totems, if Emra is low on mana, he may employ totems. However, these totems are different from their sisters. Once dropped, they heal a small amount of damage on a player. Emra tends to drop these by newer players when out of battle. They are less-used than their sisters in battle as the aim with totems tends to be wild and no one wants to end up healing their opponent.
4 Bone Dagger. This was his first weapon ever. It is the default tool of a Shaman. It isn't impressive let alone practical for him to use on a regular basis anymore, but it is a handy tool if he is unable to call Valkyrie to him. He keeps this either strapped to his waist or his leg.

- { Tithdaeron }
The feathered dragon is not the most majestic breed of dragon, let alone beast in Chromaggia. It is a common breed to come across, to catch, and as a result, a less popular breed to own. Despite this, Emra has had Tithdaeron since he first visited the Region of Sky. Emra had to capture a dragon in order to get to the Region of Sky. Emra found Dae caught in a trap set by a hunter, who was probably aiming for a higher level of beast. The Shaman tried to walk past the pathetic beast and move on, but something struck him about the dragon. So, Emra took pity on him and set him loose. This event could be marked as either the most unfortunate decision of his time on Chromaggia or the best. Emra had thought once he left the dragon, now free to go on with its life, that he'd find another, perhaps larger, dragon to take him up to the Region of Sky. However, Dae had another idea and plucked Emra right from the ground. He threw the surprised Shaman on his back and charged up the mountains. Once they had arrived, the Shaman could not get rid of the beast. It was the beginning of a beautiful strange friendship. [And to be honest, his only friendship. Kind of pathetic.]
Dae is not the sharpest tool in the box but where he lacks intelligence, he has endless loyalty. He is an odd creature and prefers to act more human than beast. Meaning there better be an extra chair at the table else you'll have an insulted dragon who will stare at you with saucer eyes like you just crushed his soul. Dae is very well-behaved as a mount and follows every command without question.
Emra has been criticized for having Dae in the first place. Being a Sky Shaman, he's expected to have a much more powerful mount to use in battle. His fellow Shamans often jeer at the beast and call it names, leaving Emra to defend Dae. Some of this criticisms are painfully truthful, but Emra sees Dae, despite only being a digital creation, as an important part of his life on Chromaggia and cannot even bear the thought of giving him up.

c a l l i n g
▣Emra uses his Summoning Drum. He acquired the instrument in the Region of Sky from a merchant who 'bonds' dragons to their riders through a tool used to call the beast. Emra thought a drum would be most appropriate for Tithdaeron, as the profoundly eccentric beast marches to his own beat. All Emra has to do is play a few beats on the drum using mana and Dae charges out of the sky.

▣It should be said outright that Emra loathes using Tithdaeron in combat. Dae has several uses and advantages, but more often than not Emra is facing an opponent with a stronger mount. Dae has a small build like all feathered dragons. He is only able to carry Emra and a small amount of weight more. This makes mounted fights easier for Emra as they're able to move fairly fast together. Flying also makes Emra's distant strategy of fighting easier if the battlefield is crowded or lacking in opportune posts. Alone, Dae is a speedy opponent and uses his speed to his advantage. Due to his lower IQ, he tends to have a lower sense of fear and ends up pulling stupid stunts to get ahead in a fight. While he does not have the ability to breathe fire he has, like all dragons, sharp teeth, claws, and horns as natural defenses. He does not wear it often, which is a pity as Emra splurged on it, Dae has a set of matching armor as Emra.
{ Isolde }
At first glance, Isolde looks like a harmless little girl. Do not make this mistake, especially if she is in earshot. Her wide, doe-like green eyes often fool her enemies into thinking she is just as she looks--little. She appears mostly human but has a pair of golden horns, wings, a lion's tale, a mysterious left arm. Her body is constantly surrounded by a halo of light and plant life seems to perk up around her. The strength of the light indicates her level of well-being.
Isolde is as stubborn as they come and hardly follows orders. She finds her keeper to be no more than an annoyance, an inconvenience. She is sweet when she wants to be and immovable if she does not get her way.
c a l l i n g
▣First, Emra needs light. Even the smallest sliver with do as long as it is there. He has to have the center gem on Valkyrie to be reflecting said light. He then calls Isolde by her formal name of Kaimelar. She will step out of the reflection of light as if it is a portal.

▣Isolde is wild and relentless in battle. This is a far move away from her careful and measured keeper. Her weaponry is all based on her body. For instance you'll notice her arms. While her right arm appears normal enough, there is something off about the left. It looks like her sleeve but you'll notice it's her skin. Her left hand is special, you see, and acts as a channel for her power. She is able to shoot powerful beams of light at her opponents repeatedly lest she be in darkness, where she is admittedly weaker. Isolde's left arm is able to stretch and grow as well, whether to reach for something far away or to form simple claws. It's a bit troublesome for her opponents...it reforms if it is cut off.

She's been on her own for a few years due to a family tradition. The Hargreaves family is an odd albeit knowledgeable bunch. Her mother is a tactical wizard stationed in Mephelia, Togath. Her father travels to every possible corner of the globe and is the author of several best-selling guides and maps. She has two older brothers - twins, actually - who both study in the Holy Seas in hopes of translating ancient Mermish. Then there is her elder sister, striking in appearance and the proud owner of a popular cafe in Youjevik. She also has a grandfather, but he seems to have wandered off. The entire family, as part of the tradition, all struck out on their own at age fifteen. The tradition was bent for Reza and she departed at age thirteen.
For now she lives on a tiny Psoglav Island in Noklim in a stone cottage she tends to with her skills. Under her care is Lou, a strange feathered creature. According to Reza's research, Lou is unheard of in TALM! His origins are a mystery, I'm afraid. When she was fourteen he simply fell out of the sky and onto Reza's head. Then, Lou was only a naked little creature with adorable brown eyes that she simply could not ignore. But through her care, Lou grew feathers and grew quickly. Now he stands proudly (a bit too proud, really) and is equatable to a small airship! Lou the Whatchamacallit is Reza's best friend and dearest companion. Their bond is unshakable and they remain fiercely loyal to one another.

If there is one thing Reza has held onto since a young age, it's her optimism and sunshine-y outlook on life as a whole. She prefers to not dwell on mistakes or regrets, but rather focus her energy on moving forward. Her curiosity is never satiated even if it lands her trouble. She's outspoken and opinionated. She does not care for snobbish folks, especially those who look down on her mixed blood. She is also a changeable person and indecisive at times. She hates being pressured into anything and quickly snaps in impatience. There's also that tendency to inflate her own ego -- referring to herself as 'Reza the Great'. She also has an all-too-honest tongue and tends to say what others rather keep quiet.
Her personal hygiene is questionable as she loathes baths, but she always washes her face and such...that counts, right? Her positive attitude often leads others to think of her as a childish woman, when it is the very opposite. She speaks openly over almost any topic, and due to the Hargreaves tradition, she is fiercely independent and values her freedom. She does not like being babied or spoken down to. Lastly, when it comes to friends and loved ones, she is easily attached and hard to get rid of, i.e., possessive.
Physical Notes: Her ears are long like an Elf, but rounded like a Troll. Her eyes are bright red, as a result of a dominant troll gene.

Then, Lou was only a naked little creature with adorable brown eyes that she simply could not ignore. But through her care, Lou grew feathers and grew quickly. Now he stands proudly (a bit too proud, really) and is equatable to a small airship! Lou the Whatchamacallit is Reza's best friend and dearest companion. Their bond is unshakable and they remain fiercely loyal to one another.

If there is one thing Reza has held onto since a young age, it's her optimism and sunshine-y outlook on life as a whole. She prefers to not dwell on mistakes or regrets, but rather focus her energy on moving forward. Her curiosity is never satiated even if it lands her trouble. She's outspoken and opinionated. She does not care for snobbish folks, especially those who look down on her mixed blood. She is also a changeable person and indecisive at times. She hates being pressured into anything and quickly snaps in impatience. There's also that tendency to inflate her own ego -- referring to herself as 'Reza the Great'. She also has an all-too-honest tongue and tends to say what others rather keep quiet.
Her personal hygiene is questionable as she loathes baths, but she always washes her face and such...that counts, right? Her positive attitude often leads others to think of her as a childish woman, when it is the very opposite. She speaks openly over almost any topic, and due to the Hargreaves tradition, she is fiercely independent and values her freedom. She does not like being babied or spoken down to. Lastly, when it comes to friends and loved ones, she is easily attached and hard to get rid of, i.e., possessive.
Physical Notes: Her ears are long like an Elf, but rounded like a Troll. Her eyes are bright red, as a result of a dominant troll gene.

His forked tongue reached out to lick her cheek briefly and he turned his body around. He knelt to the ground to allow her to climb on his back. "Don't be such a baby, Lou. You know it's kind of pathetic that I, a relative weakling, am more excited than you, a hefty winged beast. I thought you lived for adventure?" The creature turned its neck once again to stare at her with an unamused look. She laughed and calmly stroked Lou's forehead, "Didn't mean to hurt your pride."

**What Really Happened. A Summary.Eos' story begins with the meeting of a healing mage named Valens and a powerful empath named Eotra. They had both been forced into servitude by the Saurian King and court due to their gifts. While Valens had several spells at his disposal, Eotra could change an entire person's outlook with a touch. They fell in love and decided to escape their servitude in court. They rallied other mages and managed to pull off an escape into the desert. There they acquired a caravan and began planning to get back at the court. It wasn't long before Eotra became pregnant with Eos and she began to doubt her husband's violent methods and the entire idea of revenge. Where she found relief in Eos, Valens' need for revenge only grew. Valens decided to attack the gates of St. Lutudas...which failed miserably. As the group retreated, they led scouts to their location. With only a few weeks to go in her pregnancy, the court demanded that the tiny rebellion be crushed. The caravan fell quickly to the power of the court. Eotra managed to slip by but was pursued. When she came into public view at the gates, her pursuers withdrew, not wanting to be seen killing a pregnant and unarmed woman. By this time however, she was already fatally wounded and in labor. She collapsed just within the gates and immediately helped by bystanders. While her baby survived, she did not. Her last words were reportedly Eos' name. The following attributes of Eos are from his father: His ability to heal, his height. From his mother: His eye color, his hair color, ability to heal with touch.
Baby Eos was raised by an older couple, the Velorens, in Saur and it was clear from a young age that he wasn't exactly human. He was able to close wounds and cuts simply by laying his hands on a person. An uncommon trait and gift, but since his mother's origins were unknown, so were the origins of his power. It was always assumed that he was simply gifted. At age sixteen he left Saur for the first time and escaped from mandatory servitude for the first time. He lived with monks in Aspira for a short stint. After briefly returning to Saur, he embarked on a life of near constant travel. As he traveled more and more between cities he built a recognizable name for himself for his talents.
Besides his healing, Eos also has a reputation for his... eccentricity. While it's certain that he is a people person, he has trouble behaving 'normally' in public. Then there is his dress. One of his trademarks is that mask that sits atop his face or head wherever he goes. It's a mysterious little object. He purchased the mask in Saur and it proved to be enchanted; it changes shape everyday at dawn. It has been a useful tool when he is on the run from gods know who. The second trademark is his cloak. It's bright and colorful and a wonder as to why Eos is not noticed more often. It has dozens of inner and outer pockets, storing whatever he finds, thus eliminating his need for a pack. The cloak is thick and heavy. He wears it everywhere--even in the desert he calls home.
He could be called a 'man-child'. He behaves like a carefree boy and has a dumb, lovable grin on his face most of the time. This often causes people to think that he is naive, which is simply untrue. While looking on the bright side is certainly his first reaction to any bit of negativity, rest assured that he is thinking of the worst or other outcomes. He places a good deal of trust in his friends as he will treat them with a fierce loyalty.
Eos firmly believes in serving the people. He has received several offers from Saurian royalty in the past to be employed as a royal healer, but he has rejected them all. Due to his refusal to serve, he has been on thin ice with Saurian royalty and court in the past, which is why he spends more time on the road than actually at home. He is prone to running away at first sight of Saurian nobleman and soldiers, which has led to more than one catastrophe before.

The Temple of Vayu Pavan at dawn is arguably the most beautiful sight in all of Aspira. The Temple dedicated to the goddess of light seems to arch upwards to meet the warming light of the sun. Though dawn has only just touched the walls, the monks have been awake for hours in preparation for their meditations and offerings. Rows upon rows of robed men sit before the entrance of the temple, where a bowl of fire sits burning. On the outskirts of the men stands a cloaked figure hunched over a short wooden staff. After a few minutes of observation, the figure slowly walked past the men and took a right to head along the side of the temple.
The figure reached a short stairway down to the water’s edge, where a small stool sat facing the direction of Saur. The figure sat and slid the hood of its cloak back. A woman’s wrinkled and aged face revealed itself out of the shadow of the fabric. Braided white hair disappeared into her cloak and two brown eyes stared out over the horizon. She rubbed the skin of her hands, tanned with countless days spent in the sun on her little stool, and laid her walking stick over her lap.
She waited.

He graduated from high school early, university ahead of schedule, and found a job within six months of doing so. He spent his weekends indoors studying and crammed every single bit of information he could get his hands on into his brain. According to the world around him, he did everything a young man is supposed to do. He found success. Made money. A place to live. Security. There was only one problem for Alexei -- he was unhappy. And that is the nice word for how he feels.
In the hustle and bustle of 2027, Alexei adopted a shrink into his busy schedule and was promptly told he needed a 'spark' in his life. His shrink actually told him to join Chromaggia to build links with others. Never mind actual face-to-face communication, his shrink told him the idea was antiquated. So, Alexei joined Chromaggia and lo, the addiction hit him hard and fast. Every moment he was not at work, he logged hours upon hours of gameplay and leveled quickly. With millions of other players, countless quests and games, who needed tangible friendship? His moods improved greatly--for a while. He played for two and a half years without stop…until the death of his mother. Her death meant total severance from the outside world. She had been the only family Alexei had and the realization hit him harder than the game. Was an online life better than a real one? He had dozens of friends in game--but he didn't know the name of the man in the cubicle next to him. He didn't have a favorite band, a favorite restaurant, or even a dog to greet him at the door after work. His depression returned with a swift punch to the gut. He stopped playing for months and vowed to create an offline life.
…Until one day something possessed him to log on.
p e r s o n a l i t y
▣xxxxx As you may have gathered, Alexei is not the most cheerful of men as of late. As he stuck to his books and to a line he considered 'straight and narrow', he never really took the time to reach out and form friendships and relationships. He views others around him as superficial alliances. The closest things he has to relationships are out of necessity to his survival and perpetual climb upwards in life. He's aware of his severe lack of personality and expression. He knows he's not a typical 20-something man but he's not inclined to actively change himself. In a way, he's socially numb, at least offline.
Online, he is Aedelbert. He is a completely different person. He is a powerful man with magic coursing through his veins and spells hanging on the tip of his tongue. He's more outgoing, sociable, willing and adventurous. Chromaggia lets Aedel believe he is actually alive which is a sad irony, but what he considers his cure.
