Abandoned as a child because of the fact that he was born with snow white hair. Kambei a forgotten legend saw his pure white hair as virtuous and decided to name him Jin. Until his death Kambei has taught Jin everything he had known until when he finally died after bandits from his previous endeavor with six other samurai aiding him to stop the bandits from running rampant had burned his home to the ground while Jin was away and had given him his sword. Kambei also told Jin stories of the past including the passing of the ownership from Zabuza to Suigetsu. After discovering the now damaged blade after a century of rust and the damage that was caused by the former Raikage and Killerbee, Jin was dismayed to find it crumbling in his hands turning into nothing but rusty dust. But the image of the blade was stuck in his head and had someone reforge a new Kubikiri Hocho but with major alterations to it so that it wouldn't be recognizable but nonetheless it still had a striking resemblance to the original.
Jin abandoned his surname and adopted the Mizutou name, but many regard him as an Akasame because of his shark like teeth and his affinity to water. This in effect turn to harsh criticism towards him that only made Jin strive towards becoming a respected shinobi.
An inheritable trait from the Hohzuki clan he inherited a row of sharp teeth and an ability to manipulate water. Thus given the nickname "The Shark" because of his teeth.

Jin is usually a loner but on purpose as everyone would be intimidated by him so most would avoid him. But whenever Jin is ever noticed and talked to he is as happy as a dolphin and become best friends. Although this has never happened with humans before it has happened on several occasions with small animals such as cats, dogs, and sometimes even small insects.

Markings: A summoning jutsu is tattooed on his left ankle to summon a large variety of aquatic life from under the water such as whales, sharks, piranhas, and barracudas. The scroll is hidden away in his hut and only his name is inscribed in it to summon the beasts from the sea. Other than that Jin has a tattoo of the kanji symbol "Virtue" (徳) emblazoned on his back as it his name and the memento to his mentor Kambei Mizutou

Ability to clearly see underwater even in murky water and traits of shark features are shown when Kekkai Genkai is activated like sharpened teeth and webbed hands and feet. The spine also extends out to look like a fin to add to the acceleration underwater.

Ability to produce massive amounts of water from his maw and control of Air propulsion around his entire body allows for better maneuverability and speed.
Having an air bladder like most fishes Jin is able to form a pocket of under water and incorporate that into his justu and use it inmost of his water jutsu's

Wanizame: He's the chief of the sharks and he's known to have a temper. Jin first summoned him in a battle against a sea serpent. The aged shark is powerful and is huge comparable to Gama Bunta. He's a great white with a scar ontop of his head and is about the size 3 football fields.
Fuka: She's Wanizame's only daughter and is more loyal to Jin as a partner in battle. Although not as powerful as her father she can be powerful. She's a pure white shark and about the size of a bus.
Kujira: A whale younger than Fuka, a child really and is much bigger than Wanizame about the size of 5 football fields and growing. Not a normal size for a whale his age so Kujira feels the same with Jin and is loyal to him to a fault
