Their history: Life seemed simple enough. Their home was in a forest just outside the castle. They had good farmland, the river flowed right next to the house--which was more of a mill--and no one bothered them unless the Blackwolf family was needed. Their mother taught Elwyn how to hunt and master her archery skills, which were above average. Those 22 years living in that mill were the greatest years of Elwyn's life...then the tragic attack began.
Averic and Elnari, the parents, were called to the castle for immediate help. While the mother, Elnari, got the innocent to safety within their homes, the father, Averic, fended off the dark knights as best he could. But in the end, the father was slain. The mother shot arrow after arrow, hitting the knights, but not causing them to flinch or hesitate. She was slain within moments after her beloved husband's death. Word of their death reached Elwyn's ears, and no matter how hard she tried, she could not enter the castle. It was as if some invisible force was blocking the way. Elwyn decided to hunt in the surrounding forest instead, even though there wasn't much game to be had. She didn't know what she could do against the Evil King, but she was
not going to bow to him or his evil.
