Lenient blue eyes scanned the swamped grounds of the front of the Academy from the window of one of the ground classrooms, watching as students showed off their animal sides in ways you wouldn't expect. One student held his arms open wide and closed his eyes, slowly allowing himself to fall forward off from the building until half way down where his animal form took his appearance and flew off into the sky. Another student ran across the grounds, gradually gaining speed before their animals form took over, reaching up the speed to 70 mph, of course this was a cheetah. So many students were going back and forth from their human appearance to that of their spirit that it was too complicated to keep up with.
These analytical eyes belonged to that of a strong but slender frame. Snug to the feet were airwalk trainers comfortably fitting the size eleven feet. Dark blue jeans hugged stalwart legs loosely. A white t-shirt with a bear's face with headphones on clung to his broad torso allowing a leather jacket to hang from his arms, resting upon his back with the zip parted so it hung down. Large sunglasses hung from the jacket pocket by the arm that goes behind your ears. Slightly dirtied white, thin leads lead up from the jean pockets up to the ears being hidden away by the brown mousy hair that hung down just below his neck.
The tenacious but slender frame bent slightly to allow those stable arms to cross on the windowsill, leaning on them for support. Quiet music could be heard from the back of the classroom but inside these earphones this music bombed out Star Crossed by Scary Kids Scaring Kids at the top volume. Lyrics were being mouthed and formed silently by his lips, "If the stars say that you couldn't love me are you telling me that you would listen?" In a way this was his theme song. Love seemed rather impossible for him to catch and retain. 80% of the time, it was his partner that got bored of him.
A deep voice sounded over the blasting music, "Gun, u-uhm. Mr. Clamour." Catching him off guard he roughly pulled the earphone from his ears by the wires and stood up straight, swiftly spinning round at the same time to meet the gaze of one of the much older members of staff, "Sorry, Sir. Do I get a detention?" This is Gunnar. Possibly the youngest teacher in the school and the only teacher in the school that looks like he should be a student. His question was asked with a prankster smile. The old man laughed at his energy and replied, "I'll let you off this time. But if I was you, I wouldn't stare out the window like that, girls will think you're perving over them. If you're gonna do it, at least put those sunglasses on." Gun's smile grew more as he allowed a slightly surprise laugh escape, "Thanks for the tip. I'll be sure to do that."
Watching the other teacher walk away, Gun shook his head, smiling still. That old man was one of the few people Gun really looked up to in this school. He turned back to the window, his eyes casting down to his hands that were slipping his earphones up his t-shirt from the bottom to thread them out the top collar so they hung there without any help from himself. His eyes lifted once again to gaze outside the window as his hands fell back down to his sides, a soft smile crossing his lips, "Looks like the students are going to enjoy it again this year." Gun's voices were one of those naturally sounding seductive voices. People could never pin if it sounded as manly as older men's voices do or manly as a man in their age gap. It was rather odd as it sorta hit the middle. But that's why people loved it so much. How calming it could be and yet it could still be full of excitement in other situations.
Gun's eyes caught glimpse of Hunter Clayton O'Brian. A smirk clung to Gun's lips as he had missed this guy more than the rest. Hunter was the one teacher he put above all the rest, they were more than work partners, these two were friends. Hunter had been there for Gun right from the start to help him out and guide him. Yes, Hunter was Gun's teacher, work partner and above all, his friend. Seeing the little boy clinging to Hunter was tear-jerking. Gun knew about the situation and couldn't help but to admire the guy even more for taking care of the kid. The way they walked together seemed as if they were father and son and that was amazing. It was easy to see that Aiden would only be over the moon if Hunter was his father. "Guess I better go say hi to the old chap." He said with a slight laugh from his use of older words to describe the guy.
Gun pulled his ipod from his pocket to turn it off before slipping it back in, allowing the earphone lead to hang down from his pocket and curve up to his t-shirt where the headphones hung. Knowing exactly where Hunter would make his way to first, Gun started towards the teacher's wing. Down the hall just from the teacher's dorms he saw Aiden running in his direction generally. Of course, Aiden had only spoke to Gun on the phone not long ago. Smiling kindly Gun watched him run right passed him. He wanted to drop to his knees and hug the little guy but felt that was be breaking the "don't talk to strangers" rule. It was probably best for Hunter to introduce him face to face. Talking to Aiden on the phone was pretty awesome, he's a good kid and Gun honestly wished he was his. Pushing the thought from his mind he continued on towards the dorms.
"Mr. O' Brian!" Ah, seems one of the students caught hold of Hunter before Gun had the chance. But of course, that wasn't going to stop him from making his entrance. Approaching the two Gun looked at the student, clicking his fingers in search of a name to put to the face, "Wesley... Faile.. Right? Sorry if I'm wrong, it's just you look familiar and that's the name that came up. But I've seem and taught too many students so I may be thinking of someone else." Turning his attention to Hunter, Gun grinned, "You shouldn't just let Aiden run off like that. He's acting like a wild animal, running down these halls." Naturally, what Gun just said was a joke and he could see the funny side to it because of their animals spirits. Whether anyone else saw the funny side was down to them.
Gun rose his hands and clapped them once as if to stop the conversation once they were finished with their sides before he spoke, "Right." He drew back his hands just in front of his shoulder and pointed his thumbs behind them as if saying that's the way he's going, "I'm gonna go meet some of the students. Hopefully some will remember me. If not I'm boned." Gun's hands clamped together in front of his chest with both his index fingers uncurled and pointing to Hunter, "I want you to text me when Aiden comes back so you can introduce me to the little guy properly." Gun dropped his hands to his jacket pocket to pick out his sunglasses, slipping them on before shoving his hands into his jean pockets and making his way out to the school doors.
Gun stood leaning against one of the trees closest to the school building, watching as each student gasped and awed in amazement. It made him laugh quietly to himself, remembering his first time through these doors. Fiery red hair stole his gaze. It was Dani. Good thing she was too busy looking around at everything else, but sooner or later he was going to have to talk to her, not like he could avoid her so it wouldn't be the end of the world if she saw him now. She was here, she couldn't escape. Watching her walk into someone else made Gun shake his head, "Not even five minutes and she's already causing trouble." He thought to himself before allowing his gaze to wander around once again.
