![]() gregory benjamin o'malley { the fatherly parent } It was a pretty windy morning for Gregory at seven o’clock in the morning. School was going to start soon for his son William and his goal was to wake up him early for his first day of school. They recently moved in yesterday, but they weren’t able to do a lot of things other than move some of the items in the house and fix some of the items. William was sitting in the couch so Gregory walked towards him and squatted. He tried waking him while saying, “Hey Will…wake up. School is going to start.” William just moaned as he was trying to get some more sleep but Gregory persistently said, “Come on, daddy won’t be able to drop you off to your school and you’re going to be late.” After a few moments, William slowly got up and decided to go to the kitchen. Fortunately Gregory was able to cook his breakfast beforehand so it was all ready for him in the kitchen table. Gregory was still dressed in his pajamas but he was going to eventually change once William was done eating. William was quite similar to Gregory when he was younger. They both had dark brown hair and a set of beautiful brown eyes to match with it. However, William seemed to carry some of his mother’s characteristics or so Gregory noticed for the past six years. William finally sat down on the chair and started eating sluggishly. Gregory kept a watch of him every so often while he was changing. He wore a casual outfit to fit his first day of work in the new restaurant that he recently got accepted at. Eventually after thirty minutes or so, William finally finished eating his breakfast. By that time William was a bit happier, so he was able to be more awake and alert. Gregory walked towards William and they went to the bathroom to help with each other. By the time they were done, Gregory had a few minutes to get William to his school on time. Luckily the school was nearby so when he arrived at the school, there was about a minute or two to spare. He looked down and touched William’s head. William was really happy and he looked up wondering what his dad was planning to tell him. “Have fun on your first day of school. Don’t do anything too bad and be a good little boy.” Gregory stated as he smiled looking at his child. He felt really happy seeing his child because he felt that he was able to see his wife in him. However, recently he just accepted his wife’s death, so he was willing to find another person that might be willing to love him as much as he loved his wife. William replied, “Yes Daddy.” Gregory bid his farewell, “Well Daddy has to go. So be a good boy!” He kissed his son on the forehead after his statement. Then he started walking away while William was constantly waving at him. Eventually after a while William entered in his classroom trying to find a seat while Gregory was getting out of the school building. As he was getting out of the school building, he was wondering where his workplace was again from the school building. He sometimes forgot where it was from the school building, but he knew clearly where it was from their house. Gregory looked around trying to figure out some sort of a visual ‘landmark’ that he would remember. |
