★┇ THE BACKGROUND
I was born in New York City, New York by my Japanese father and my Filipina mother. My father was an employee of the Fujita Company, which was currently owned by my grandfather at that time. My mother was actually a nurse for my grandfather, so they were able to keep in contact with each other. At the age of two, I moved to the Philippines because my grandfather wanted to own another branch of his business in there and likewise for a few years I stayed in the Philippines.
When I was about seven years old, I went to elementary school in the Philippines for a few years. I could speak the language quite well, but not as fluently as I used to when I was younger. I was able to cope with the environment but many of my classmates found me rather interesting because I wasn’t completely Filipino. At times, whenever I was with my mother, people would think I was adopted but whenever I was with my father they would never think of it that way.
Entering into high school, I moved to Japan because by then my grandfather died and he gave his business to my father. Since my father wanted to know the problems the company was having during that time, he decided it was best that we move to Japan and stay there for a while. In my opinion, I had a splendid time living in Japan since I was able to cope really well but the only problem I had was speaking the Japanese language. Because I went to an elementary school in the Philippines for a few years, I could speak basic conversational English and be really fluent in Tagalog. So my parents decided to place me in an expensive international school. By then my mother stopped working and decided to be a housewife.
Throughout high school I felt pressured to do well because the academic standards in Japan were completely different from the Philippines. At the same time, during the summer I would take a couple of extra classes especially Korean classes. I was rather fascinated by the Korean culture and my father thought that if I were to be known as his daughter that I should be able to speak various languages especially when helping him with his job.
Friends were rather difficult for me because I was always treated differently. High school was a difficult year for me and I couldn’t join any ‘cliques’, and eventually I resorted to joining a theater club. The theater club made feel comfortable and I soon gained confidence in acting. Some people thought I was splendid, but when my father found out that I joined the club he was rather upset and suggested that I should quit the club and so I did. Because of that, I had tried my best to keep in contact with some of my theater club friends but eventually we grew apart and forgot about each other.
When it was near the end of high school, I decided to have some fun before graduation so I attended a couple of parties here and there. No, these weren’t the aristocratic parties that my parents usually forced me to go to but rather parties that high school students liked going to. The first party I went to was something I didn’t expect at first, but eventually I was having so much fun dancing that one of my friends was off flirting with some guy and I was stuck all by myself. I couldn’t drive at that time but eventually I met a guy there who became a close friend of mines. We sat down and had some small conversation and gradually I thought he was a decent guy, but not someone I was romantically interested in at first.
Soon we exchanged numbers and became good friends yet after a while I started to believe that I was having feelings for him. I really thought I was falling in love with the guy, but somehow the guy felt indifferent about our so-called ‘friendship’. I had no idea why at first yet a couple months later he mentioned about a girl that he was really interested in and how he was planning to admit his feelings to her. When I found out who it was, I was heartbroken because she was by far the perfect lady. Because of this, I became so cold-hearted and evil towards him. I practically had no consideration about what he thought about me anymore and avoided every form of contact from him.
Eventually he came up to me and asked why I was avoiding him and that lead to a long argument, which also concluded with me admitting my feelings to him and in return I received some harsh words. He told me that the only reason he 'liked' me was because of the fact that I was the daughter of Mr. Fujita, one of the most powerful businessmen in Japan. Knowing the fact that he just wanted to take advantage of me really made me upset and because of that, I don't like showing people the typical life that I live in.
However, things changed dramatically when I heard the most shocking news. My father decided that he wanted us to move to Korea because he wanted to expand the business and Korea was currently the best place to do so. Initially, I was so glad mainly because I could get over the guy while going back to Korea yet my parents told me something that made me still feel upset even until now. For quite some time, my parents have been deciding an arranged marriage between me and another male. They thought about it carefully as to who the husband (and possibly the potential owner of the Fujita Company) should be and apparently the guy was in Korea. I thought it was the stupidest idea yet all I can do is figure out some sort of a way to get out of this arranged marriage, even if it means scaring off the guy like I did with every other guy I’ve met previously.

★┇ THE PERSONALITY
Reina has three 'sides' that she usually shows depending on who she talks to. The first side is her 'perfect image' side, which is mainly shown in Japan when she has to go out in public. As a daughter of a famous businessman, she has set herself high standards to keep herself prim and proper because her reputation is heavily reflected on how her father does in the business. This is by far the image that Reina has mastered so well and at times, this blends in with her true self as well. Sometimes she gets sick and tired of this side because she despises having to be a 'goody-good' girl for so long. In this 'side', she will not object or complain to someone who is older than her and will respect others wholeheartedly. She will still keep a positive image of herself despite any haters that don't like her or her father.
The second side is her 'bitchy' side as one would call it. This is also a mix of her true self as well, but she is not afraid to criticized or insult someone for the sake of boosting her ego and lowering another person's self-esteem. Plus, she tends to be rather impatient and has quite a temper so trying to survive one day of her not getting angry at this 'side' is extremely difficult. She never shows this side in Japan mainly because she is afraid that one criticism can ruin her reputation. However, she does show this to Minhwan only because she loathed the idea of getting married to him and she has no other choice but to show him how bad of a person she is.
The third side is what defines her true self. She is unusually kind and really cares about others, especially children. Reina likes to think of others once in a while despite the fact that she usually places what she desires over them. She can also be spontaneous and temperamental at times, so sometimes it's always a surprise to see what Reina would suggest or think at that moment. She can be rather clumsy when it comes to household chores though. Household chores is the least thing Reina likes and if she is forced to do any chore (for whatever reason, mainly to impress someone) she will always try to make some sort of careless mistake along the way. This is also why Reina doesn't like doing activities that would be categorized as a 'housewife'.
When she falls in love, she tends to be really nice and sincere. Her 'bitchy side' rarely appears since she doesn't want to start a fight and result in some sort of break up. Reina tends to be more playful and touchy, so she will unexpectedly initiate skinship and joke around more often than she would. She tends to be rather 'motherly' towards her boyfriend since she always wants to show some sort of consideration towards him (this is also similar to how she is with children as well). In a way she tries to not treat her boyfriend as a 'child' but as a 'boyfriend', yet sometimes she can't help but accidentally do that. Since she isn't fond of household chores, this is her way of acting rather 'motherly' or similar to how a wife would be. Ironically, she is very much suited to be that of an ideal girlfriend despite the fact that her exterior 'bitchy' persona makes it seem like she wouldn't be that type of a person. Also, she tends to be a bit shy when doing actions that seem 'girlfriend' material because she hasn't done it in a long time and because she feels awkward doing things like that. In her opinion, she finds it a bit cliche and cheesy for her tastes even though she loves seeing that in dramas. Like her keen self, she can sometimes sense easily when to tease or flirt with a guy so she likes surprise her boyfriend. Reina has the tendency to be rather seductive as well depending on the mood and because of this, she is not afraid to take control of the relationship and change it so that she has the slight advantage (whether it's kissing or making out). Nevertheless, she always tries to be the best girlfriend possible~
Overall, Reina can be categorized as a character that shows a wide array of personality traits but depending on certain external factors, she can be the 'ideal girlfriend' for a guy one day and the next day she can be their worst nightmare.
