{ M a d n e s s } is to think
of too many things
in { s u c c e s s i o n } too fast,
or of one thing too exclusively.

☾...There was already people arriving. One clad in green, and appeared to be carrying a snowboard, the girl had just entered the building. Someone he couldn't quite make out had opened the door, then closed it behind her. Another who'd just stepped out of a car, he couldn't quite see them yet, the car door was in the way.

Loki watched as his own cab drove away, the yellow mingling with the white ground until it was indistinctive. He turned away once the car was out of sight, and peered up at the cabin. It was of a fair size. Though, he was use to much bigger. It would be nice a cozy to have a smaller house, something that was full of other people inside, so much so, that it almost seemed as though the building its self was alive. Throbbing with the life within it's walls.
Loki grinned before taking that first step up the snow covered sidewalk, the only thing imprinted in the fresh snow was that of the green girls footprints.
"Oh pooh," Loki readjusted the strap of his backpacks shoulder strap, so that it wasn't twisted.
It was always so much more fun to be the first to make your mark in the fresh coat of snow. Gave you that small twinge of importance, knowing that someone would come across it and step in those very footprints, so that they wouldn't have to disrupt the snow further, or get more snow in their shoe than was necessary.
Just as he was doing now actually. Though, Loki's feet were just slightly bigger than the girls had been, it was still entertaining to try and match the strides of the girl.

The short male looked rather ridiculous walking down that snow covered sidewalk. Both of his arms were held straight out at his sides, as if imitating an airplane. It served as his balance as he danced into each and every footprint, his movements in slow motion. His legs lifting further up than was necessary for the small strides. Rawr! I'm a dinosaur! Loki scrunched his face then stomped his foot into the next footprint. He only had a few more to go before he was at the front door, but he did this the rest of the way.

Loki put down his arms and stood up straight once he reached the front door. It opened before he could even will his hand to raise to the door and knock on the wood.
"Hello," the older man at the door looked at Loki, his brows bunched together, his eyes gleamed with curiosity. He'd watched the last few steps of Loki's little escapade up to the house. It had been rather...different.
"Why hello," Loki said, giving the older man his signature smile. Ear to ear.
"I was invited here for a stay," Loki explained, even though the older man's eyes now reflected his understanding.
"Yes, of course, come in," the man said, moving aside for Loki to enter. The man's face had recovered from its confused appearance, and now held a business like smile.
Loki's grin faded into a small knowing tug of the lips before he came into the house. He tapped the tip of his white, almost knee high boots on the step up into the house, to rid himself of the gathered snow.

"I will leave you to the house, Sir, your room is the Green room," the older man said, gesturing to the green clothed girl whose footprints he'd been stepping in, "she will be your roommate."
"Ah, yes, I believe I have been quite intimate with your footprints," Loki grinned again, this time turning it on the girl.
The older man slipped out then. Loki didn't acknowlege him as he went to go about his business. His eyes had remained on the girl.
"So, roomie," Loki bent down to untie his boots, then took them off and set them on the mat to the side of the door, "let's poke around a little, hmm?"
Loki unbent himself and stood his full 5'7 of height, then stepped onto the cabin's hardwood floor. His feet telling him that this would be an excellent floor to slid on.
                                              ...☽

♬... "Rawr!" The loud high pitched voice cut through the silence of the house, as a small girl jumped out from behind the corner to the kitchen. Her brunette curls bounced around her shoulders, some locks flying over her face. Her face was crunched up in an attempt at looking scary. The girl had been playing hide and seek, but grew tired as she waited for the 'seeker' to find her, and instead of staying put like the game suggested, she decided that scaring the living day lights out of him would be much more fun.
Austin rose a brow as he kept his back to the girl, his head turned back to look at her. He'd been at this since six o'clock this morning, and was pretty beat. But it was his sister after all, and he did aim to please. Two hands rose to his face in an over-exaggerated 'Home Alone' movie cover, expression. He let out a obnoxious wordless cry of terror then turned back around and ran away from the girl.
"Wait! Azzy, it's only me!" The girl cried back at Austin who was already treading heavily up the old wooden stairs. The creaking of the old wood giving away where he was once he was upstairs, and the location of his sister while she climbed them, trying to avoid the creaky spots on the staircase. Unsuccessfully mind you. Austin had bolted into the first room at the top of the stairs, and pulled himself against the wall so that he was standing beside the door; out of sight of the hallway.

The six year old girl was at the platform that was near the top of the stairs, that much he could hear.
"Azzy?" The girl's voice was slightly pleading. Pleading that Austin not come out of nowhere and scare her, "okay, this isn't fun anymore. Come out."
Austin remained where he was, his back pressed against the wall, as he listened to his sister ascend up the remaining three steps, placing her at the top of the stairs, and right outside the room he'd ducked into.
"Muahahahaha!" Austin deepened his voice an octave and tried his best evil laugh, before jumping out in front of the girl.
"Boo!" Austin yelled with his hands in a claw like form and held them leveled with his head. The girl screamed dramatically then flew at Austin's legs. Her arms wrapped around one leg as she threw her head back in squeaky, girly, giggles, that had Austin giggling as well.
"Your so weird Jewely," Austin was still laughing slightly as he spoke to his sister. His eyes drifted to his still uplifted hands, and the watch on his wrist. The glowing numbers on it indicating that the both of them had to take off for school.
"Oh, we gotta get going, Princess," Austin looked down at Jewel, who was still strapped to his leg, and gave her a smug smile. The leg holding Jewel lifted up off the ground, the girl being pulled up along with it. Austin gave out a low sigh as he lowered her back down to the ground.
"Kay, you gotta get off, your just to big that this now," Austin shook his trapped leg slightly before the girl loosened her grip and stood up, with a less then impressed expression on her face. Whether it was because he'd said she was getting to big, or because they had to stop playing, he didn't know.

Ten minutes later, Austin had Jewel all ready to go, and was stuffing his feet into his shoes as she bolted out the front door. The yellow bus had parked itself outside their house and the bus driver waited impatiently as Jewel ran down the sidewalk to climb the stairs of the bus.
The loud squeals from her fellow riders could be heard even from where Austin was standing, now outside of the door, and locking the house up.
He longed for her days. Everything was much more simple then. No worrying about what your going to be. Sure the kids could be cruel, but it was a predictable cruelness.
Austin shrugged as the bus pulled away. His face crunched slightly with a yawn. Six o'clock was no stranger to him, but that didn't mean he had to like it. He eyed the beat up, Chevy Truck; God knew what year it was. Austin didn't really know much about vehicles. Nor did he much care.
"Maybe I'll just walk today," Austin said to himself as he made a sharp turn onto the sidewalk, and started towards the school he thought he'd left behind. Another year would do him good. It would help to work out some things in his life, and hopefully push him in the right direction. Or at least give him a hint as to what he might want to do with his life. ...♪

I was born on February 14th 1920 , and that makes me ninety-eight years old. I consider myself average because I stand at a mere height of 6'0 , and I believe I weigh around 160 pounds. When I last looked in the mirror, I noticed I have brown eyes and brunette hair. I am a male that goes for the ladies and gentlemen , but I love myself the most. Oh, and I’ve got zero piercings and one tattoos.

» » » » This is my life story
I spent my living days on the family farm. Born the youngest of eight kids. I had two older brothers, and five older sisters. There wasn't much expected of me from my family, as I grew older. My oldest brother was to take over the farm, and the other was promised to the church, all of my sisters were expected to marry well. So I spent most of my days, once I'd turned sixteen, drinking, partying and, in the arms of countless woman. You see, back then, at sixteen males were considered a man, so I was free to do as I pleased.

Now, I wouldn't it call it after death. But if your referring to my crossing over to the undead, then; I was twenty-one when it happened. I had been at the local pub for a majority of the evening, with some buddies. We each had several woman at our arms that night. But, the one that had caught my eye was across the room. She was an exotic beauty. Long flowing red hair, like fire. Green piercing eyes, that seemed to glow in the dimmed light of the building. She was tall, with legs that went on forever. And a bronze tanned skin.
I knew I had to have her, but I had no idea, at what cost. The cost being my immortality, and my humanity.

I woke the next night, confused, alone, and with a thirst that was unquenchable, even by the finest of beverages. My senses were enhanced, and my strength had increased significantly. That first night was unbearable. The sounds around me seemed to of been turned on high volume, and every light blinded me. I was not yet use to my new lifestyle. I kept thinking it was just a cold, a strange sickness; I'd be fine in a few days.
Well days turned to weeks, weeks to months... and well, you know. It wasn't long until I realized what I was. The uncanny thirst to plunge my teeth into the people around me was the greatest hint. I was a Vampire.

For years I was rouge. Drinking from whomever I wished, and leaving the bodies to be discovered. I didn't care. I was a God, at least I thought as much. Why else would I be blessed with such power? I left my family, my friends, and home town. I lived in the allies of bigger cities. Sleeping by day, hunting by night. You see, I still believed those old tales that said sunlight would kill me.
It took the intervention of a concerned Vampire elder to stop me. Teaching me the Vampire code, and set me straight. He also told me of the sun. Protect your eyes, other than that, it's fair game.

I don't know the fate of my Maker for turning me without permission, and for endangering the whole Vampire race, nor do I much care. I'm a wanderer now. Have been for many, many years.

» » » » I have a tendency to react differently than others
I'm mad. There is no doubt about that. Madness was inevitable after so many years of being alone. Or perhaps, it was those few years of killing countless humans, that did it. I suppose it doesn't matter what did it. Just that I am.
I like to play tricks on the humans around me. When I'm board I will study one in particular for a period of time, become a silent observer of their life. That is normally the only reason I will stay in one place for longer than a few weeks.

When I do choose to communicate with anyone I act rather... strange. I am mysterious, a trickster, at best. I almost never make sense, and never reveal my true nature. I am not consistent in my behavior; flirtatious, sad, happy, silly, whatever I feel like being, sometime what I don't.
I am a mystery even to myself, sometimes. No body gets close to me, but never to far away. I slip in and out of peoples lives when I wish, not always at the time you would expect me to. I am not always the most useful fellow to have around. Let's face it, I'm no superhero, and I don't intend to act as one.

Clairvoyant; I can read anything that comes into contact with my skin. And before you ask, feeding can be quite difficult if I do not restrain myself from reading the person. I haven't completely mastered this ability just yet, it comes and goes when it wishes.

        oh, i'm good at.. »

          1. Flirting. » I like to think of flirting as a talent. Not everyone can do it well. I can never quite help myself, it's almost as though it's just always turned on. I'm not really sure whether that should count as a talent or a curse...
          2. Sweet talking » Not to be confused with my flirting talent. I can pretty much talk myself out of anything using only my charm. If I can't, then I'm lost.
          3. Being a Smart-a** » I'm not sure this counts, but I've been told by many that it must be a talent of mine since it comes to me so naturally.

        give me more! »

          1. Lounging » I am very much like my Leopard side. Lounging around is probably my number one favorite thing to do.
          2. Flirting » And right under lounging would be flirting. What can I say? It's a talent, and I enjoy doing it.
          3. Dancing » Almost nothing is better than taking a night out on the town, getting into a club (illegally I might add) and dancing the night away with several woman (or men) hanging off me. Did I mention that I'm a little full of myself?
          4. Kinkiness » Leather is my friend.. Along with barely covering shirts with straps and things of the sort. Sure, it makes some people uncomfortable, but it's not like I'm parading around with NOTHING on.
          5. Being Noticed » Come on, like you didn't see this one coming. What, with my flamboyance and whatnot, of course I like being noticed.

        ew! get it away! »

          1. Stiffs » As in people that are wound up to tight. It's not that I don't like them, so much as they don't like me. I do try my very best to like everyone, but it's hard when someone is looking at you as though you are an alien.
          2. Cookie-Cutters » People who seem to be all the same. Like robots. It's kind of scary. I call them cookie-cutters cause they all seem to be made exactly the same, as if cut from a cookie-cutter. Get it? Well, I thought it was clever.
          3. My Lack of Control » Yes, even I, Caleb Jason Thorn, dislike things about myself. My lack of control on my beast seems to be a bigger dislike. Besides the fact that I could accidently rip someone's throat out just because they smell like food, I hate that it could be used against me as a weakness.
          4. School » Yes, I'm one of those people. I don't just dislike school. I hate it. I can't wait to get out of here. But by the looks of my grades, I'm going to be here for a very long time.
          5. Quietness » Quietness as a quality. I'm a loud person. I know what to do with other loud people. It's the quiet and shy ones that confuse me. I have no idea what to do with them. And I feel like I'm just disturbing their peaceful lives.

it's not an attitude » I am a very fun-loving kind of person. It's hard not to love me. Very much a tease, flirt, and a smart-a**. I love to yank people's chains.
My sky-blue eyes often hold a mischievous glint to them, and I have an affinity for wild and daring apparel, especially of the leather variety.

I have a strange fascination with danger, pain and simply being an all around pain in the a**.
But underneath all of that there is another, more serious side to me. I'm great to have as a friend. Loyal and insightful, if I care to move aside all of teasing and flirting.

Chilled » I don't let things get to me. And my over all air would be relaxed if someone were to ask.

☾...Jason eyed Chie as he sat down in his spot. Though it was no longer the suspicious glare he often gave just about everyone else. He trusted that Chie wouldn't touch him. Even with him so close he knew he could trust Chie, before even himself.
The small childish gestures still composed within the mans body, even at the age of nineteen. He truly was still very much the a child. It made Jason feel old. Chid had a year on him, but that didn't change their mind set.
He watched as Chie sat his head on his knee, letting his hair stray out in front of him to cover both his eyes from Jason's gaze. The tiara on his head sliding forward on his head, threatening to take the leap from his head to the chair.

Jason sat up straighter in the chair, so that he was no longer curled up, but crossing his legs, facing Chie. Just as intent on Chie as the he seemed on Jason. He leaned in enough so that he could see the sparkling of the boys eyes behind the many strands of hair. He lifted a covered hand to the boys head and positioned the tiara on his head so that it wouldn't fall off.
After the deed, he leaned back to admire his handy work. He knew it wasn't that big of a deal. Or at least it shouldn't of been. But it was. The fact that he was comfortable enough to do such a thing was sort of unsettling.

Jason cleared his throat nervously as he settled back against the arm rest.
"I was merely curious," Jason shrugged. Again, a shrug that could mean whatever you wanted it to mean. No sign that he was about to elaborate on his explanation.
"If you could, would you go back to save your mother?" Jason looked away from Chie's face. Not being able to see his eyes was a little unsettling. Knowing that Chie could see his, but he couldn't return the gaze as certainly.

Bio: I don't remember how it came to be. But I've lived most of my life on the streets. I wont complain though, I did what I had to, to get by, and I'm still standing. It could have been worse, really. I try to keep positive outlook on things.

One day a wealthy man took me in for a few weeks, giving me clothes, shelter, food, and a place to stay. He didn't so much as kick me out, and tell me it was time to move on as he handed me the add that had come in the newspaper that morning. As fate would have it, someone was taking people in. For free. That seemed the place for me.
