• Typically, my mom thought it would be good for me. I'm going to be a senior in high school next year, and she's just been dying to have me do the whole 'community service' kind of thing. To round out my edges you know? I mean, I'm decently smart, A's and B's, more of the latter, and I'm athletic to some degree, with both the swim team and track. But nothing else to fill in the gaps. So this camp was my mom's big solution to it. I don't really mind so much I don't think. Although I would like to see my friends some this summer... I'll figure it out when I get back I guess.

• Four score and seven years ago... no, just kidding. I'm not that old. Thank goodness. Seventeen years ago Momma and Poppa Moore had Baby Moore. His name? Austin Kenneth Moore. That's me. I was their first, and tragically, their only son. When I turned four, Dad got cancer and the treatment left him sterile. But that didn't really make it too hard on them. They love me, it's really not hard to see. I was spoiled as a kid, and boy was it an eye opener when I got to the age where I went to school. There were so many rules, and so many adults saying no. I was scared out of my mind that I was losing my grip on reality, at five years old! But don't worry. Mom and Dad had the perfect solution, play dates with my next door neighbor's kid. Jesse was shy, but we clicked immediately. And we're still the best of friends. Yeah, classic right?
• Well, we grew up and went through school together, I mellowed out on the whole spoiled thing and got to be who I am now. I go after what I want, but I'm polite about it [or so I've been told]. Swimming was somewhat of a requirement after finding out that Dad was the high school star. But that's alright. Cause they don't push me. It's a for fun, get involved in school kind of thing. To be honest, apart from my own bout of being spoiled, and my dad having cancer, I've lived a pretty normal life. Both mom and dad are doing fine, which is great because I'm going to be in college here soon and well...they're slowly getting used to the idea that I won't be around anymore.
