She can use teleportation to close in on her target, or move objects directly against her opponents. When she is fully warmed up she can also, teleport bits of space to create bursts of energy and generate loud noises. She can teleport objects into things, but doesn't usually do this to people, as -I'M NOT going to godmod- she finds this dull, and her sense of "honor" demands a challenge. (that and if their moving, even if she were desperate, she couldn't likely do it.) She prefers to get around spatial limitations by teleporting the tip of her knives or staff against or toward the person she is fighting....

She can absorb kinetic energy and reflect it back on the said individual. She can use it, to charge up an attack and give herself more strength, or release it immediately....(see weaknesses) This is helpful for body enhancement, or defense....Something vaguely like vector manipulation. She builds up strength while she fights. provided she doesn't deplete herself in doing it.

Over time her techniques and method of teleportation-combat can make her predictable. Ava genuinely hates this and is constantly trying to find new ways to use her abilities. Rain, or other forms of spatial noise can inhibit her ability to teleport...Its not a cure all: it doesn't negate inertia. For instance, if she falls off a building when teleporting, she will still maintain inertia when she falls....splat. Also, she may gain kinetic power from fighting, but loses more of her ability to teleport as she loses "concentration". Which means she can't sick around long, if she plans on making a clean escape. This is probably her biggest weakness.
x x x x x x x x x x x x▪Kinetic Energy Manipulation: It has to be reflected somewhere. Basically if she can't send the energy back out somewhere else, her vital organs will absorb the impact and she could get seriously injured. Her ability to transfer energy lies primarily in touch. "The pendulum effect". If she com in contact with something like fire, she will not have the ability to reflect it and will get burned. She can weaken and slow the rapidly moving molecules, but not enough to prevent injury. Lets face it, she can't block everything. If her powers are interrupted, she will be hit. She can also accidentally punch herself with her abilities if someone were to figure out how to move round it. As her ability to reflect attacks is almost entirely limited to consciousness: poison, chemicals, fire, -anything sh can't move- can and will be as deadly to her as powerless mortals. ((She can slow their rate of effect a bit though.))

❦❂Personality_ ┊Ava is not the happiest of people. Her multiple faces and bizarre lifestyle.....

Echo is audacious, and tactical. Playing it smart seems to be a driving factor. She is cunning, manipulative and prefers to be a few steps of the rest. She is ambitious and determined to make something of herself. To say all villains are heartless killers, is like saying all flavors are vanilla. She has limits: when it doesn't ill-suit her purposes. In spite of everything She has a certain degree of honor, as much as bargaining with a 'leopard' might be. Therefore, very little is entirely out of her realm of play. She has a good sense of humor, albeit a bit morbid, and she does have a degree of loyalty for her 'allies.' She gets bored, and therefore will push limits and make elaborate complicated plans; the classic "bait and switch" might come to mind.

It might seem that she is a divided personality by the way Echo, and Ava live out their lives, but Ava has definitely known for sometime, that when one begins a life of crime it most certainly will catch up eventually. Everything she does, is planned and calculated to put it off as long as possible.


❦❂Biography _ ┊Ava was born in June. That's usually how it starts, 'being born'. Her mother was an artists hand her father was an accountant at a mediocre office. At least that's what she will tell you. Her past is at best murky and un-spoken of. She lives in the moment and absolutely refuses to delve into it.

It is a confirmed fact that her brother was a super and worked in the military...whether or not he's still living has yet to be determined. About the time Ava's brother was forced into a life of military service, 'Echo' began a reign of thievery and intrigue across Europe. Though, recent rumors have surfaced that Echo is the heir to a prestigious criminal bloodline...who knows maybe every last bit of it was a twisted fable....and the rumors still echo in her wake.

He can use it to levitate, or pick up/crush objects by extending the shield. He can use it to levitate, but as he hates the feeling of falling, he rarely uses this ability.

If not, well. There's always 911. Ethan has the ability to see into the future. Not that far mind you but enough for some events. Occasionally he gets lucky and might see a projection of a future event, its usually an image, and unclear, but will become more apparent as he progresses toward the said event. All 'precognitive visions' are a result of a distortion, and so, are subject to change...Imagine being stuck that way.

Too many people, and he won't be able to tell a thing. Also, its not his main ability, so he has less control over this one....That and it's a distortion. He himself doesn't have the ability to manipulate space time, so until he learns how this distortion affects him, he probably will never master it.

When he came to his senses, he didn't remember anything. They dismissed him in full mental health but asked that he regularly go see his assigned Psychiatrist for a checkup. Because the mental transformation temporarily destroyed his mutant abilities, it did not register on the mutant Test they had him conduct.

Skills/Powers/Tech:
■ Accelerated regeneration:Joshua has the ability to recover from virtually any injury, barring insta-kill injuries. In high stress/PTSD triggering events, his adrenals will send a burst of adrenaline and activate his healing abilities. He has recovered from bullets, knife wounds, and burns. The full extent of his ability to recover is not yet known, but he believes he may even be able to recover from an explosion, provided he survived he initial blast. Joshua is not eager to test this theory however.
■ Precognition: Joshua's sensitivity to dangerous situations, makes him an asset. Imagine being 3-8 seconds ahead of something that can kill or destroy someone. It gives him a very vivid picture or alert flag that lets him know something is about to happen.
■ Enhanced
Human Condition: The trigger in his abilities is a defense mechanism. But it is thought that because of his career choice, the semi-constant flow and ebbing of adrenaline has allowed his body to "retain" a higher level of endurance, speed, stamina, and strength. It should be noted that it is more obvious the closer he is to a time when his powers activated. If your muscles don't get tired or recovered from the strain of lifting weights higher than your body could normally stand, you'd be bale to do allot more than normal...With training, this ability could stabilize, for now, with the way he's been living, this may not be possible.
■ Combat/weapons training:Being part of the vangaurd, every member is required to meet the strenuous combat training requiremnts. Joshua does well physically, and passes his performance valuations, though it has been wondered how he does so by those who've visited his apartment.
■ Will of
iron: Desperation makes for cold courage. Despite his tendency to throw himself into harms way, Joshua has decided that he won't be defeated by his opponents. Losing usually psirals him into a pit of depression, and winning the ultimate prize. He pushes through his work .....

Weaknesses:
■ Accelerated regeneration: Since Joshua's abilities came from a high stress/attack, he can be killed/injured when he is not in combat or is not cogniscent of the danger. Such is, being killed in his sleep, or non combat injuries such as drowning. Also, as is powers are related to his PTSD, he runs a risk of them not working every time he is injured.
■ Precognition: 3-8 seconds is not ahead very far, but its enough to give some reaction time. He has no control over any of his abilities, and so the images he retains, can be random. He may have them one minute and not the next. They're no prophetic, and so change with every action....primarily he uses them for defense, like ducking when an explosive is about to go off...etc.
■ Enhanced
Human Condition:: Enhanced human condition is not, nor will it ever be superhuman. Adrenaline can make the body do amazing things but they can't sustain a lifetime of abuse. Joshua hasn't told anyone, but his doctor believes that the more he uses his abilities the more useless/immune to the effects of his abilities he will become. Like adrenaline, the more of it you have in your system, the more addictive you are to it. Its taking a toll on his body, as he can often be in great pain when all things are said and done. Combine that with a wildly dysfunctional lifestyle, and he'll be dead in a few short years.
■ Addiction:Joshua's powers are strongly linked oth is PTSD, and so is his addictive personality. He has a thing for gambling, and says it helps hims stay focused. But with addiction comes great price, he's not afraid to take risks, but obviously, this can get him in allot of trouble. He's borderline reckless, and unconventional, which had gotten him in trouble with his previous occupation in New York.
■ Heart of cloth: Joshua is depressed. Suffering from Comorbid/Complex PTSD, he is borderline suicidal. He has learned that he can't kill himself, and so seeks out risky behaviors to hasten his end. He lost his loved ones, destroyed his career, and now works tirelessly to bring down the more "dangerous" mutant threat...including his nemesis. He's not doing well emotionally, and suffers from dissociation with his present surroundings. It is rumored that the abuses his prescribed pain medication, but nothing has been proven, and it would appear that he passes all his drug tests. Addicted to adrenaline, its one of the very few things he knows can numb his pain.

Not everyone gets their way. Joshua had always known he wanted to be a police detective. His father was chief of police in downtown Detroit, and as he was raising the boy on his own, had a great deal of influence in his life. Metas, were not widely known in his childhood, due careful government handling, and the virtual absence of superpowers. His father oiced a fear, that mutant powers would forever change the face of justice: eventually, an occasional meta would crop on the radar and mess with his father's police department. When it was discovered that many people had the potential to become metas, there was allot of hubbub. Imagine, mutants teleporting into secure bank vaults, phasing through paddle-locked doors, nothing was secure. Not having his powers at the time, any sympathy toward mutants was non-existent.
When Joshua grew older, he graduated and headed straight into police training.He demonstrated practical merit and performed well. He had a natural tendency to pick up on small details, and put them to use solving more complicated crimes. Gone were the days of ordinary cop work, where a heroine overdose, or robbery were the difficult calls. It was a complicated and politically rough time. . Life in Detroit quickly developed him to be a quick thinking, rough officer. Despite his various successes in his career, he never fully measured up to his father's high expectations of him.

Joshua met his wife, Barbara, when he was a young officer. Her quick wit and gentle, practical demeanor impressed him greatly and he began seeing her. She was about 8 years older than he, and already had a young son from her old lover. The boy as young, and although reluctant to get another father figure in his life, grew to like Joshua enough to accept him. He married her some 5 years before the riot in Detroit.

His opinion of metas was artfully sealed when, his partner was killed in a march-turned-riot over meta-rights. The very same explosion that took his partner, was the very one that gave him his ability. The shock of the affair was numbing to say the least. He began to withdraw from his family and spend more time away, which out a great deal of strain on his marriage. His At the heart of the meta-based-syndicate in Detroit was a skilled unnamed 'terrorist', who was rumored to have been behind the riot. He arrogantly pursued the criminal despite having received multiple threats, with relentless intent. He got the message, leave Detroit, or his wife and children would be next. He hasn't been the same since....

And then, came cold December....Joshua and his family left Detroit for the city of Rookhaven, a seemingly more peaceable city. Due to mutant litigation, he was no longer able to serve as a member of a regular police unit and reluctantly relocated to serve with other mutants, as a member of the Vangaurd after a brutal argument with his father. He served for a full 5 years before that fateful day, a day when he put aside the needs of his family to serve a community in chaos. Someone had to keep the peace, didn't they? His fifteen year old son disappeared, and his wife left him shortly thereafter. Since then he's been on a mission, to find and capture the menace responsible.

Main Power: Tactile Telekinesis: Eli is surrounded with a telekinetic force field. Different powers are activated certain ways but allow me to elaborate. For the most part the shield is passive. Coming around her when she is awake and staying that way through most of the day. It becomes stronger when her thoughts are uncluttered. Although the shield is mostly passive, she can 'move it' or otherwise alter it to do different things.
Sub Power: Psionic strength: A close variant of super strength, Eli can telekinetically enhance her strength giving her punches crushing force and enabling her to lift objects as heavy as a car with surprising ease.
Sub Power: Invulnerability: Her telekinetic shield protects her from most forms of harm, bullets, blunt force, and even something as sophisticated as sharp pointy things. It will not however, entirely protect her from things like electricity, which can go right through it. It can be negated by other users with telekinesis and be broken down with excessive force. The mind can only protect one from so much.
Sub Power: Force-Field Generation: if Eli chose to risk it, she can extend her T.S and form force fields. This requires concentration and increases the likelihood of it being destroyed as it 'thins out the field'.
Sub Power: Telekinetic Blast: By rapidly moving the T.S. she temporarily destabilizes the T.S. long enough to create bursts of energy and telekinetically 'pushes'her opponents back. She tends to access this ability by making motion with her hand.
Sub Power: Telekinetically Enhanced Condition: goes along with psionic strength. She can use her personal shield to increase her agility, speed and stamina as well. Also it can in cases like minor wounds cause them to heal more rapidly than a normal person. This doesn't mean she won't be yelling for a doctor if need be.

Bio: Time is not linear. Space is not existing on a true plain. And frankly neither are our decisions. Nate had always postulated the theories of alternate universes. Being a scientist, 'unimportant' questions like this would always be echoing somewhere in his mind. Like the saying that marked the 1800s Western Expansion- "Go west young man..." He just never imagined his own, would turn out like this.....

Nate was born in raised in a heavily 'progressive' family. Growing up discussions at the dinner table usually involved world peace, scientific discoveries, Nobel Prizes, and asking Nate to 'kindly' sit up straight. His mother was a teacher and his father was a professor of science. It was intense but it was home. Nate loved it. Nate hated it. Nate flourished in it.

Youth and Determination are usually never found in pairs: Nate found himself happily lost in college with an idea of becoming a pediatrician. Then it happened. There he met his future wife. They fell madly in love, and he was completely enamored by her beauty and intelligence. She was kind around him and seemed to like his awkward and boyish charm. They would spend their extra time together and even did many projects together. Love does strange things to people. He changed his degree to a double major. Pediatrics and a major in Genetics. ...He is still in graduate school.

His relationship was doomed to failure. Her almost obsessive attention to her looks and drive to make adjustments pushed him over the edge. He liked her just the way she was...It's not like she had any flaws to begin with. HE certainly didn't notice any..Soon after they got married, he decided that he wanted children. Actually HAVING them was out. Finding the right one was a challenge, and every candidate was shot down mercilessly by his wife. He was deeply hurt by this and the fact that no matter what he did, his wife always managed to find fault in it, (Honestly, he could have done better though).
He soon became depressed and began delving deeper and deeper into his work, taking up classes to finish his second degree as a geneticist. He and his wife separated, and he took a trip to Asia to assist in a hurricane crisis center. Even in that far off place, he missed her deeply and realized that he should go back and try to make things work. When he returned, she was not at home, and to make matters worse, he found a high tech lab in the basement. Curious he had a look, something he regretted later.

He discovered freshly dissected corpses and bits of human flash preserved fro future experiments. The research on the table and posted neatly around the labs was naturally geared for perfection. Was this really his wife? Devastated, he left, and called the police. He never felt right about that decision, betraying her like that, but he felt he had no choice. She was carted off to jail and her labs, formerly their den, stripped apart and used for evidence in a court case that spanned almost two years. He headed back to Asia, not bothering to stay for the trial, and worked hedonistically for the remainder of the trial until this opportunity came along, eager for a change and a new opportunity to lose his pain, he took on the job.
