Name: Dayan M. Hale Gender: Male Age: 18 Grade: Elite Sexuality: Gender doesn't matter-- He likes to experiment. Likes: Coffee, computer hacking, take-out chinese, Zayne, cigarettes, and guns. Dislikes: Confusion, physical and mental pain, and helplessness, all of which are things he experiences on a daily basis. Specialty: Anatomy manipulation, or the ability to adjust human beings at a cellular level. In short, he can change the appearance of himself and others. These changes range from height, weight, hair color and length, skin tone, gender, etc. He can use these powers to heal the wounded and sometimes bring back the dead. His power can also be used as a weapon, seeing as he can tear limbs from bodies, break bones, make bodies explode, and make people sick or insane. The list goes on for what he can do, but there is a problem. He doesn't remember how he got nabbed, only that he and Zayne were looking for something... the rest of his memory form that point disappeared. Every time he tries using his powers, pain is his reward. He has new ability-- temporary, he assumes, but useless to him seeing as it is only a fraction of his true power. It is the ability to regenerate others. Personality:
+ Manipulative/Calculating: In short, Dayan uses things-- and people-- to get who or what he wants. The only things spared from this personality trait are the people he trusts most, which are not many, unfortunately. He views other people as threats unless convinced otherwise.
+ Nice...ish: When it comes to making people feel welcome, Dayan is the expert. He helps initiates and even tutors them for free, but only his enemies know his true personality. They know that deep deep down, there's only cold calculation. On the other hand, Dayan is one of the best friends you could want. He's resourceful and gets the job done. For those he truly cares for, it's as if his true personality never exists. Dayan isn't the type to sit on the sidelines watching a game of soccer or Ultimate Frisbee. He's usually one of the first to play.
+ Seductive: When it comes to downtime, Dayan gets really bored. And when he gets bored, he seeks entertainment. Because of how he was raised (poor kid), sex is the only thing he really finds 'entertaining'. History: Dayan's past was full of messed up people. His mother was a prostitute who constantly ran out of cash and resorted to whoring out her own son for extra spending money. Of course at the time, she convinced him it was how people had fun-- a trait that carried on into his adulthood unfortunately. He never knew his father, seeing as he was only a 1 night stand, but he was born because his father bribed his mother to 'keep the baby'. That was the only thing he had to thank his father for. Dayan and his mother lived in an old ratty apartment next to a computer hacker to whom he gained his hacking abilities and a drug smuggler. On occasions the hacker babysitted, but that was only an excuse for his mother to sneak out. She'd already been accused of leaving her child alone once. For 14 long years, he'd grown up in such horrible conditions while only being remotely aware of his powers, but once that letter came, he was free. From there, he went to school, blended in, studied hard, and eventually clawed his way up to elite status. It was there that he met his only friend Zayne Room Number: S16 Other: Dayan has an acute fear of sharp objects, though he never reveals the reason for it. Said objects can range from a needle to even a finger pointed in his face. Then he freezes and becomes useless until he 'gets himself together' Username:starzypop
The year is XXXX, a fair year for the capital of Cybur, located on the planet CXII. The whole world is ruled by Jupiter, a flawless and complex computer system that protects and provides its capital with wealth and prosperity. There are other cities on this vast planet, but they dim under Cybur's light. And with good reason. Cybur is the most exotic of the cities, gathering wealth from other planets through rare exports only found on its surface. But the most popular source is the slave trade. But slave is a dismal word for these prestigious beings. They are called Pets instead, and they are a species of their own. Bred much like dogs, they are created to possess rare and exotic abilities as well as beauty, much to the delight of their owners. They are certainly amazing, but they cost an arm and leg, with the lowest prices being nearly two hundred gold Druids.
A soft little song lures you into the woods
At first you see nothing but what's underfoot
The music gets louder and to your delight
you find yourself looking into pretty lights
Where is the voice singing sweetly my dear?
It was so lovely but so full of fear~
The Carnival de Fantastique is here!
Where beauty grotesquely shows itself in tiers
The ringmaster looks at his guests with great charm
and tells them what's next might bring such an alarm
The crowds gather closely right next to the stage
Where faintly you hear the rattle of a cage
The ringmaster laughs and gestures to their seats
while telling you all of his fabulous feats
What is behind that red curtain of red?
Seeing it closely fill you with dread
The Carnival de Fantastic is nigh!
The red curtains open with a tattered sigh
The darkness inside is pierced through with a light
and what's waiting there has you shiver with fright
'Now this one's named Abby, she's from far away
but don't let that daunt you she's come here to play'
You stare at the small little girl in the ring
as she smiles, her tattered lips open and she starts to sing
The land of Elegaria, a beautiful but wild country that was for many years the fodder of many legendary tales between humans and elves. Stories of beautiful forests in which no one returned from once entered.Stories of mountains that spread across many leagues at a time and it was said in these valleys there lived a kingdom of dwarves, a smaller breed said to have descended from elves but not a lesser race. The stories told of the dwarves' plight, how they had to abandon their entire cities of silver and gold and live underground because of the dragons' wrath. Yes, the dragons were the most spoken of about the entire country. The dragons were said to have magical powers, some that they were even unaware of until further experience taught them otherwise. They were said to have scales that glistened just like the precious metals and gems the dwarves mined for. Their teeth and talons were said to cut through a horse like a knife through butter. The blood of dragons was said to be very poisonous but the heart could heal any sickness or disease and could even bring those near death back to life.
It was the said properties of dragons that was one of the main reasons some of the elves wanted to travel across the seas to the dangerous beauty of Elegaria. A whole elf kingdom seceded from the elven empire to do just that. Once they arrived, they settled and founded their own kingdom but hadn't found hide nor hair of either dwarf or dragon. Until an elf by the name of Maverick decided to go hunting. Though he was only looking for regular game, he stumbled upon a dragoness and her nest. In it was a single egg.
Once upon a time, there lived a young doctor. He lived alone in a big mansion with only a few loyal servants by his side. He was a solitary man. He was a lonely man. The doctor lived for many years in his big house, trying to discover the secrets of the world. Then one day, he was called by his closest friend and colleague. This man claimed to have found the mummified corpse of a strange creature he believed to be not of this world. It was to be destroyed because of the animosity of its very existence, but the doctor convinced his friend otherwise. It was then the mummy was transported to the doctors house and left there, no questions asked. The servants carried the mummy down to the doctor's lab where he spend whole days at a time transfixed with the long dead body. From his studies, he deduced it was female, that she had lived long before humans had, and lastly, she had been pregnant the day she died. It was after this discovery that the doctor planned to perform an autopsy.
What he found where the leathery remains of something similar to the human organ system except for one thing: the creature had two hearts instead of one. This astounded him, but he was more interested in what he would find in the womb. Carefully, he cut through the dry remains and found not one, but two growths inside. They appeared to be leathery eggs, and out of instinct, he immediately hid them under a blanket, shielding them from the dim light. He suddenly felt the panic subside and be replaced with a feeling of love. Startled, the doctor realized he was 'reading' the eggs' thoughts. He really did want to experiment on them, but he couldn't bear the thought of mistreating them. Especially now that he could feel their pain. For nearly a year the doctor nourished the two eggs by keeping them warm and flipping them over when they needed it until eventually...
Yes you, who live in your own homes. You can walk outside, yeah? You can travel anywhere and whenever you wish. You have a normal live filled with normal responsibilities, friends, and even love. You have a life free from pain. You have no fear of dying.
We aren't so fortunate.
We have no home. Since we've been born, we have never been outside. We've never taken that first sweet breath of morning air... Instead our air smells of chemicals and disinfectants. We were never allowed to walk by ourselves, never allowed to fully stand. We've never traveled, but we imagine the possibility of freedom. Our lives are not normal. It is anything but. Our lives are filled with cages, pain, and tears. Those who've been here for year like me have learned to keep emotions hidden. Crying and pleading only gives them satisfaction. Our parents are many and they
It all came down to this, didn't it? Katz sat down and rubbed one of his temples, frowning down at the little piece of paper his neighbor had given him. It's content were the names and numbers of five babysitters who Mrs. Fields said would watch his children when he went on his three-day business trip. Having been a mother herself, she said they were very capable with children and would be a good replacement for her. The father sighed and straightened up to dig the phone from his pocket. Why did Mrs. Fields have to get sick? She had been looking after the children for 5 years already and stood by him when Katie and Lissa gave their children to him. They'd never returned and it was with a heavy heart that May and the boys never knew what a mother was like. But Mrs. Fields had done a good job, having taught them to behave somewhat and mind their manners. Speaking of manners, Katz glanced up at his children. All of them were in the living room with him. April who'd just finished her homework was now lounging on the couch, watching TV while Alex and Tyler played with identical toy trucks. The trucks weren't in such good shape since both boys liked to crash them into everything. He smiled to himself. They were good kids, and he wanted the best babysitter for his children. Maybe he'd have a small interview before he left? That seemed like the best thing to do seeing as he didn't want to leave his kids with some psychotic freak. So... Katz picked the third name and dialed. While the phone rang, he glanced at his children before slipping into the kitchen. They never took it well when he left on business trips, even if they were with Mrs. Fields. He was certain the reaction would go worse if they knew it wasn't Mrs. Fields who was going to take care of them.
May glanced over as her father left for the kitchen and sighed. They never got Daddy for long before he had to call or be called by someone else. His job as a popular lyricist demanded it, and so at the moment, he was well in demand. A squabble from the floor caught May's attention. Apparently, Tyler broke Alex's truck, and the two were battling it out to see whether they break the other one or ask Daddy for a new one. "Shut up guys," she yelled over the fight. She was missing her favorite cartoon. May watched more TV for a while before she frowned Daddy normally didn't call others while he had time with them, so did that mean his call was about them? She glanced towards the kitchen. Maybe she'd have to spy to find out.
