GAIA TEST FORUM GUIDELINES

Remember, all rules of the Terms of Service apply here.

Abuse of the test forum or failure to properly label your testing may result in a warning or ban for spamming, so please observe these rules carefully.

  • What is the test forum?

The Test Forum is a place for users to test post formatting, signatures, layouts, and to assemble threads for movement into other forums.

Gold earning is disabled here so posts will not cause you to gain gold.

  • What is allowed here?

    • Test Posts/Threads: Testing signatures, formatting, use of bbcode, etc.

    • Thread setting up for relocation into other forums.

  • What is not allowed here?

    Everything else.

    • Spamming.

This includes any and all postings of 14g and 28g posts. Not only do these types of posts NOT earn you more gold in the normal forums, but in the test forum will earn you NO gold.

    • Chatting.

    • Bumping.

    • Discussions.

    • Polling (Unless you are testing a poll setup or setting up a poll in a thread to be moved).

  • How should we go about testing?

    • Mark your thread clearly with Test in the title.

    • Whenever possible, state what you are testing as well. "Testing my sig" "testing this image" "testing this format", etc. This will reduce confusion and prevent you from being reported for spamming.

    • Testing in pre-existing threads is acceptable so long as those threads are not threads being assembled to be moved into other forums.

Intentionally posting in threads to disrupt their setup will be treated as spam and you will be warned/banned for doing so.

  • How should we go about setting up a thread we will need moved?

If you wish to assemble a thread to then have moved into another forum, such as a store thread, charity thread, etc., please do the following:

    • Place a notifier in the title of your thread so that it is clear what you are doing and that other users should not post in your thread. For example:

      • Setting Up Thread, No Posting Please

    • State in the first line of your first post that you are setting up a thread to be moved and what forum it will be moved to.

    • When you have completed your thread, either contact an online moderator to have the thread moved, or report your thread with your move request as a note in the report box.

Please contact an online moderator if you have any questions regarding use of the Test Forum.
