Alphas

She is a pretty, timid girl in her early twenties, sheltered from society by her protective parents. She is that of a "synesthete", which allows her to enhance one sense while rendering her remaining senses temporarily useless—often leaving her vulnerable to danger.


He is in his twenties, sensitive to many factors of his environment, and dependent upon rigorous routine. Despite any perceived limitations, He is also a "transducer" -- a human antennae. His neural synapses have the ability to "read" a wide range of frequencies including television, radio, and cell phone signals in the same way people typically hear the everyday sounds around them. His alpha skill is incredibly effective and allows him to intercept communications and encrypted messages. However, it can also be overwhelming for him when he is unable to turn these signals off.


She is worldly and sophisticated, attractive and intelligent, complex and manipulative. In short, she gives new meaning to the idea that a woman "always gets what she wants." Her alpha skill is called "influencing" and it involves the disruption of the specific neural pathways in the cerebral cortex that leave the brain vulnerable to suggestion. It's her curse to know that those aware of her ability, cannot distinguish if she is being genuine or if she is controlling them.


He has lived a hard life, the scars of which are evident in his personality. His run-ins with the law and the medical and military establishment have created a deep sense of distrust in authority. A former army sniper and minor league baseball pitcher, he has an unusual condition called "hyperkinesis," wherein the mind's imaging systems and muscle control are perfectly in tune with the motor skills center of the brain. As a result he possesses flawless aim, perfect balance, and greatly enhanced motor skills.


He is a former FBI agent who strictly adheres to procedure and protocol. He is also a hyperadrenal Alpha -- an everyday person with a very special physical ability. He is able to summon amazing strength by consciously activating the "fight-or-flight" response. With a flood of adrenaline, pain receptors are subdued and for a short bursts of time, he experiences super human strength and a resistance to harm that borders on invulnerability.

Dr. ______ is a preeminent neurologist and psychiatrist with a long history of hands-on work with patients suffering from neurological disorders. Her fascination with Alphas -- ordinary people with very extraordinary abilities known as Alpha Skills -- has led to the formation of a group of highly evolved humans specializing in solving Alpha-related cases. Though not an Alpha herself, she has become the unconventional leader of the team and her nurturing personality and fatherly wisdom are instrumental in holding the group together when stresses and personality conflicts threaten to tear them apart.

Arisuno couldn't sleep. Hearing police cars, a crying baby next door, and the drops from the sink. She covered her ears and looked around. Then it all became quiet. Her father came into her room with some food. Bacon, eggs, and toast. Nothin special. She thanked her father as he left. She took a bite of the bacon and she knew what spices he put on it. Dry mustard, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Arisuno shook her head. It was too much for her. Arisuno has these abilities. She is Synesthete. It means she can enhance one of her five senses. She could hear what her father is talking to on the phone from her room when he is outside. She had since she was about five. First it was seeing stuff. The germs everywhere, peoples dead skin cells, hair that has fallen off. Everything. Then on her tenth birthday, she could smell everything. Everyones perfume, colone, gum, even the spills that were left on the ground from years ago. Her abilities kept growing. Then it was tasting, then hearing and last was feeling everything. She could touch your shirt and know what its made from and how they stitched it. People call her an Alpha. She is part of the CIA and works with other Alphas just like here. Well, different abilities then her. But to hide from the ordinary, she works as a secretary. Its mostly quiet there and barley any talking. But there is the clicking of the keyboards which bothers her a lot. Arisuno is learning how to control it with her team. The Alpha Team is like her second family. She sometimes sleeps at the office if they are on a case.

Arisuno got out of bed and walked over to the mirror and looked at herself. She fixed her hair and make up. She then went to the closet and looked for an outfit to wear. It has to been good for work and well, her other work. When she found an outfit, she got changed and headed downstairs, hearing her father talking on the phone. Something about him moving. Arisuno shook her head and went downstairs. "Papa, We cant move." She said, placing her hands on her hips and looking at him. Her dad looked at her, then the phone and back at her while hanging up. "Ari, Your not moving. I have to. I got this job in Florida and I cant turn it down." Arisuno father is a state cop and she is lucky to have him home today. "But you have a job here. You dont need Florida." She said, going to the kitchen and getting her mug. She then saw some of her fathers germs on them. She turned around and pointed to the mug. "There are others mugs you can use. And Yes. I do need this. But I will be back in about three weeks or so. Maybe six. But dont think im leaving you." Arisuno placed her mug in the sink and grabbed her purse. "Pa, Just.. Be careful down there. Please?" She then hugged him as he got a call. Something a man found died. "Gotta go baby girl. Have fun at work." He kissed her on the forehead and went out the door. Arisuno waved bye with a sigh. She also headed out the door and getting to work.

Arisuno didnt want to go work as a secretary. She figured just to go to the office. On her way there, she saw her dads car at a local collage. Collage student maybe? Drugs? Arisuno figured she would just see whats happening. She parked her car and got out. She then stopped in her tracks and smelt something. It was really strong. She looked around but saw nothing but collage students fear. Maybe thats what it was. The fear from the collage students. She then heard something. "Shepard. What happened?" "I dont know but I would really like to know." It was her father talking to the chief. Arisuno got back in her car and figured it was drunk people doing stupid thing. She then drove to the Alpha office to see if anyone was there.

Of course. The adult stepped in. But having bad teeth never looked good on anybody, no one thinks about it though. She could recall back when she was far from being a preteen and her parents would constantly tell her to bursh her teeth. It was no fun. It gave her acceptable results-no cavities. `I guess that`s good.` Well, at least you take care of yourself, there shouldn`t be any problems. Still, this goes back to what she had thought earlier. He was an odd person, and Anette found sort of mysterious and peculiar in ways, not like it was bad. Just hearing about it seems interesting, especially when she hasn`t met anyone like him. Before she knew it, he was telling her a story about eating vegetables. `Shocking.` She said in her mind. Anette`s version of Kain`s diet was definitely anything that was sweet. Carrots could be sweet, but she never included an item that was both sweet and healthy at the same time. `At least there`s some sort of nutrition involved.` She considered the fact, but she couldn1t deny it either. Anette simply granted him a small smile when he told the story. It was comical. She also had adventures with her brother, not like that was really important. Anette hated to dwell on family memories, even when they weren`t really worthy of being in that category.

`I never knew..` She was surprised that it was possible for Kain to cook. It wasn`t impossible; she found it unlikely. You don`t really seem the kind that cooks, but that`s cool. I burn or practically ruin anything I try to cook, Anette laughed at her ridicule. It was typical for a woman to cook, uncommon for man to do so. So she made a suggestion: How `bout you cook for me one day? A pause took place. And Jelly? It was the longest she smiled all day. What luck. Either she was a techincal cynic or just rather depressing, Anette avoided smiles. Maybe because it wasn`t her thing, or she was too lazy to put a few face muscles to work. She`d never tell, which continued her usual secretive socialism.

Her joy faded ever so slightly, as she heard there were no ideas to be contributed. `Damn. Forgot about exams.` That`s okay. She tried to hold back any defeat in her mind. `And I bet those other bands are doing better..` The thought appeared to dim her mind into a temporary morbid state. The singer wasn`t sure whether or not he felt bad or if he left this news behind him. She gave up after trying to decipher his gaze. I haven`t anything to write about lately for songs. There was this one song I was writing..but... Anette`s voice trailed off. She knew songwriting were based off of life experiences, feelings, and whatnot. Like she witnessed or was hit by any of that recently. Though songs were really on practically any topic that comes to mind. She knew she had to finish her sentence soon, or he`ll probably ask her what it actually was. The singer had nothing in mind. She had hoped that an idea would spark at any moment. Well, all she said was, But..I lost it. And I can`t remember what exactly I wrote..I think it was about kids who ran away from their homes and..That`s all I can recollect. The singer was obviously at a lost.

IndentArisuno has been up for a while now. She is on the computer, applying for her dream collage. The Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy. She always wanted to be a cop. Ever since she was little. She use to play cops and robbers with her siblings all the time and she would always be the cop. Arisuno would use her stuff animal to be her K9. Another reason why she wanted to be one was because her father was one. Her father taught her how to defined herself and others. He would have loved to see Arisuno follow I'm his footsteps. When she was applying in high school, she couldn't go. Thats because she had a baby girl. This child means the world to Arisuno. Her family was mad at first about her being pregnant but when the girl was born, they were happy to be grandparents. But her father died when Arisuno was 2 months pregnant. He never even got to meet his granddaughter. Arisuno waited to apply again until her child was old enough for her to go back to school. Now that she is, she is now gonna re-apply to the academy. While she was typing, her stomach growled. Great. Time to make some food. Arisuno clicked Save in Word and closed her laptop. She walked over to her closet and got her towel and headed for the shower. Arisuno went to the bathroom and closed the door behind her and stripped out of her tank top and sweats. She went into the shower and cleaned her body. She then put some tree tea shampoo in her hair and then the conditioner. While she was doing all this, she was singing along to the Pandora song Mr. Know It All.

IndentWhen she was done in the shower, she turned off the water and reached for towel and wrapped it around her and stepped out of the shower. She then wrapped her hair with another towel and brushed her teeth. Arisuno looked in the mirror and smiled. She then stuck her head outside the door to see if anyone was in the hallway. Clear. She then ran for her bedroom, trying not to slip. Once she got there, she closed her door. She has to make sure no one was in the hallway because she now lives with her new family. Her mother got remarried and moved to Virginia. Well, they were already in Virginia but they had to move town away. Arisuno was happy with her mom but she also didnt want to move. And now instead of being the oldest child of her family, she is now the second oldest. Instead of three siblings, and her own child, she has to learn the rest of her families names. The twenty year old walked to the pile of boxes in her room. She glansed over to her baby girl to see she was still sound asleep. A smiled came upon her face. Arisuno then looked back at the boxes and got some clothes that were easy to get. Arisuno got the baby monitors. She left one next to her baby and she brought the other downstairs with her. When she got down stairs, she made herself a smoothie. She went to the fridge and pulled out some berries. Strawberries, Blueberries, blackberries and some bananas.

Biography: Arisuno was born on August 29th to poor parents. When she was just a month old, her parents put her up for adoption. Two years later, she got adopted by Alyssa and Milo Rivers. As she grew up, she started to love gymnastics. Her parents placed her in the best gym their was. Arisuno knew she was a heiress and she could get anything she wanted but she wanted to earn it. Diana was born on a rainy monday morning. Her father was the one who raised her to who she is today. What about her mother? She drowned while fishing. Diana would never forget that day. Her and her family were fishing for her first time and then the boat turned over because of a huge wave. Her father went for Diana and when they went up, her mother was gone. No site of her. Ever since then, she hasnt been to the beach or any large bodies of water. Her father keeps blaming himself for not saving both. Diana keeps telling him that mother would have wanted her safe. Even if it ment dying for her. While in highschool, she met the most wonderful man. August. He treated her right and everything from the past was gone. She was the most happist person there ever was when she was with him. Until that one night. She cheated on him. It was the most stupidest thing she ever done. She would never forgive herself.

When she was walking home one night from working an 8 hour shift, someone pulled her into an ally. She screamed on the top of her lungs but no one was there to save her. She thought she was gonna die that night. But it all changed when she heard someones voice. SHe was gonna scream again but the man who pulled her into the ally said some creepy words to her and shoved his teeth into her, making her in a lot of pain. After that, everything was blurry. She remembers someone bending down next to her to see if she was alright.

Diana is a fun person to be around. She doesnt get mad easly but when she does, she stays it for about two days. She is the best listener and will always be there if you need her. But if you bring up her past, (Her mother) she will brust into tears. Diana is senestive and only August knew how to calm her down when ever she was in a bad mood or having one of her episodes which happens at times.

Indent You'll always be mine. You'll always be mine. That was the only thought that was going threw her head. She cant get the mans voice out of her head. His face, they way he looked at her. It was something she would never want to happen to her again. And they way he sinked his teeth into her left shoulder was the most pain she had since her mother passed. Everything that night was blurry. The words, 'you'll always be mine' was the only clear thing she really remembered. Plus there was also someone else but he was too blurry. The last person who said that to her was her ex, August. Someone she really cared about and messed it all up. Diana cheated on him one night and she couldn't keep it to her self any longer. Thats when she told him. And that was the last time she saw him or heard from him. She dreamed about him but that was pretty much it.

Indent As Diana started to wake up, a sharp pain was felt in her shoulder. It was like about ten bullets going into her shoulder. She let out a small scream and placed her hand on her shoulder where the bite was. She then heard someone talking. She couldnt really tell who it was because everything was still blurry when her head hit the ground. Diana slowly opened her eyes and saw two guys hovering over her. She blinked a couple of times before she knew whom it was. August and Alexander. "W-Where am I?" She said, sitting up. Diana was guessing it was just a dream like always since August is here. But when her shoulder was in pain again, she knew she wasnt dreaming. "What are you doing here? Why am I here!" Diana looked around. It looked like some sort of cabin. Why was she in a cabin and not her house? Her dad should be searching for her by now. All of a sudden, a rush of pain went to her shoulder.
