She slowly unravels her brown locks from the bun she was wearing on the back of her head, letting them fall over her shoulder after running her fingers through them to remove and tangles that are in them(as if running her fingers through her hair would actually do any good, she’s need a brush for that) She’s sitting on the couch, still in her pajamas, which contained of a oversized t-shirt(which wasn’t actually hers, but that didn’t matter, it was comfortable, and that’s what she wanted. And the faint scent of him wasn’t all bad, either.) and a pair of black yoga pants.

She was hungry, but not hungry enough to move from the comfortable position she had herself in. She looked over at the door, longing for him to walk through it, but she knew that it wasn’t going to happen any time soon. Four days. It had been four days since he’d left, and she already wanted him back. When did she.. clingy to him? Was clingy the right word? It wasn’t like she needed to be holding onto him 24 hours a day, 7 days a week or anything like that. But, a gentle kiss on her lips once, twice, maybe even three times a day, was that too much to ask for?

It wasn’t like he wasn’t going to come back, he’d be back soon. At least that’s what he told her. The night he left, and every time they talked on the phone (Six times, but whose keeping count?), but soon couldn’t come soon enough. Two weeks seemed to be never ending. And she didn’t even have a case to keep her occupied, just paperwork, which she had just about finished up.

She stood up, her hunger finally overcoming her, and walked into her small kitchen, opening the fridge. Nothing. She closed it and turned, reaching over and opening her cupboard, pulling out a half-loaf of bread. Growing mold. She really needed to shop soon. Maybe she’d do it after her shift today. What had she eaten for the last little while? She’d stopped for coffee and a bagel yesterday, didn’t eat the day before, and had breakfast with Castle before he left the day before that.
