pokemon gijinka thread

Hey, if you're in this thread then GTFO. Unless you happened to come here via link in my roleplay search thread. Then you may stay. :D

All these characters are mine, so don't steal. Some of the artwork is mine as well, but you can see pretty clearly what's mine and what isn't. Anyway, don't steal the graphics either, those are also mine. They come from the doujin "Off Limits," which I don't own. I made a few changes to the cover image, obviously. ;o

These are my Pokemon gijinka characters. The majority of them are lifted straight from my Diamond/Platinum games and fleshed out into characters. I love to roleplay 'em so hit me up. ;] Oh, and don't post here. Kaythanks.

It has the power in its clawed arms to make scrap of a car. The tips of its claws release poison.
Drapions are naturally strong Pokémon. Like ants, they can lift multiple times their own weight, not to mention crush and destroy it. That said, Drapions tend to be rather destructive, whether they mean to or not. They also are fairly heavy, and range anywhere from "short" to "tall." Height is not an issue when it comes to Drapions; their strength is rarely proportional to their size. Most Drapions rely heavily on their tails to serve as a third arm, usually their most powerful. Drapions can go for much longer than other Pokémon without food or water, and are suited for arid environments. As Poison-types, they can survive in areas where most other Pokémon are ill-suited to tred. Drapions are solitary Pokémon, rarely forgaing out of their territory to meet others. Their destructive nature often comes into play concerning their territorial instincts.

There isn't much to tell in Scorpio's relatively short life. Twenty-two years ago the scorpion Pokémon was born to Drapion parents residing deep within the desert. Unlike the majority of his species, Scorpio opted to forgo posessing territory and headed out to Pokémopolis, the biggest city. While most Drapions are territorial and reclusive, Scorpio is quite the opposite. He likes being around others -- particularly those of his own types -- and loves exploring. He can't stand staying in one place for too long, much to the surprise of any Pokémon who knows his species. Scorpio met up with a fellow Poison-type, Rogue, and the two became fast friends. Despite their numerous differences, Scorpio will go out of his way to protect his little Crobat friend, even though Rogue can take care of himself.

        wσяτн α τнσusαиd wσяds 。。。
Standing at 5'9" and weighing in at 143 pounds, Scorpio is about the average height and weight for a Drapion. Like the rest of his species, he is incredibly powerful, to the point of often underestimating his own strength. Scorpio is rather klutzy, often breaking things or harming others without meaning to. This isn't helped by the fact that he's energetic and never seems to stop moving. He's also friendly and outgoing, quite the contrary to the majority of his species. Like most Drapions, Scorpio favors the color purple. He is never seen without a pair of goggles on his head, or his striped scarf. The scarf seems to have a life of its own, and serves as extra arms to protect Scorpio, even from back-attacks. Sometimes the ends of the scarf move without his notice. Scorpio rarely takes time to tend to his appearance, and usually looks like he just rolled out of bed. He has one flyaway hair that refuses to sit flat. Like other Drapions, he can use his nails and the claws on his tail to poison foes. The claws on the end of the scarf also have this ability, though exactly how that works is still up for debate.

        κeep iτ secяeτ 。。。
Scorpio doesn't have a decided sexuality. His outgoing and often friendly nature can sometimes be mistaken for interest, but he has yet to actually show any romantic intentions toward any Pokémon. Rumor has it that Scorpio's scarf is connected to his brain, but this is probably something Gen made up to torment Scorpio. He doesn't particularly care that Rogue is shiny, though he does occasionally make fun of him for his pink-ish color.

Scorpio's best friend. Rogue is a fellow Poison-type and seems to understand Scorpio better than anyone else. Though the two rarely seem to get along, their banter is usually playful. While Rogue is serious and cautious, Scorpio is silly and impetuous.

No one knows how to piss Scorpio off like Gen. Scorpio tends to be wary of Ghost-types mostly because of how Gen likes to play pranks on him. The two are both Poison-types and do have a lot in common, though Scorpio vehemontly denies it. He pretends he doesn't like Gen, but they do qualify as friends.

It flies so silently through the dark on its four wings that it may not be noticed even when nearby.
Crobats have four sets of wings -- two that come from either shoulderblade, and two that come from just above the hips. These latter two wings are smaller and usually hidden under clothing. The former two wings are always visible, and are difficult to hide. Despite their small size, these wings are powerful enough to carry Crobat wherever he or she needs to go. Walking isn't something a Crobat usually troubles itself with, they tend to fly wherever they intend to go. This does pose a problem, for Crobats have difficulty slowing down; they fly incredibly fast but they only have one speed. Slowing down usually results in crashing. Crobats tend to be smaller than other Pokémon, but that doesn't mean they are easily beaten up. Crobats rank among the fastest Pokémon, and it shows. They tend to live in dark places and function as a community rather than as family units.

        σиce upσи α τiмe 。。。
Rogue, like Scorpio, hasn't been around long enough for very much to happen to him. Despite his mature nature, Rogue is younger than Scorpio by several months, making him twenty-two. He has a younger sister -- Arsenic, a Golbat -- and three younger brothers -- Vladimir, Drakul, and Hemo who are all Zubats. Arsenic is only nine months younger than Rogue while the triplet Zubats are thirteen. Rogue was born shiny, a unique genetic abnormality that results in alternate colors. Instead of being born with purple ears and hair (traits that indicate an eventual evolution into a Crobat), Rogue was born with pink and green coloring. He was born without his second set of wings, which began developing shortly before his evolution, around the time he hit puberty. Rogue was constantly made fun of for his bizarre coloring, which has led him to be very sensitive about it. For awhile, Rogue attempted to hide his natural coloring through hair dye, hats, etc. It never worked, but he has finally come to terms with his genetic abnormality.

        wσяτн α τнσusαиd wσяds 。。。
As previously mentioned, Rogue is smaller than his Drapion partner, he barely reaches 5'5" and weighs about 120 pounds. Unlike Scorpio, Rogue acts a lot more like the hallmark of his species. He tends to keep to himself, but can be caring to a fault toward those that are close to him. Family means a lot to him, though the majority of the Zubat-family tend to care more about the community than the blood relations. Rogue is a bit of an introvert, even around his close friends. He's very intelligent and would much rather spend his spare time reading than fighting. Despite how different they appear on the surface, Scorpio and Rogue have a lot more in common than just the Poison-type. Rogue has a strong sense of justice that, when violated, often causes him to act irrationally in an attempt for revenge.

        κeep iτ secяeτ 。。。
Rogue actually isn't my first shiny Pokémon. I caught a shiny Marill purely by chance in Pokémon Diamond (I named her Shiny!! and she is the most failsome Pokémon ever. I don't know if I'll actually turn her into a gijinka yet or not). Rogue is one of my favorite Pokémon though -- I have had a Crobat in every game since Silver. They're usually named "Vampire" or something similar though. Anyway. I was disappointed that Crobats didn't look as pink as they did in Silver/Gold/Crystal, but I've grown quite accustomed to their appearance now. (Their SoulSilver/HeartGold sprites are ADORABLE, btw.) Rogue, like Scorpio, doesn't have a decided sexuality.

Scorpio is Rogue's best friend. Though Scorpio occasionally picks fun of Rogue for his strange coloring, the two rarely fight. The differences between their species seems to only work well for them. Since Scorpio is fond of abusing the move Earthquake, Rogue is certainly glad to be a Flying-type.

Truth be told, Rogue isn't sure what to think of Gen. He's wary of him certainly, for it's not normal to see Ghost-types striking up friendships with those that aren't spirits of the departed or whatnot. Gen likes to tease Rogue about his coloring as well, which naturally puts a negative view in Rogue's head.

Arsenic is Rogue's little sister. She's not much younger than her brother and makes teasing him an art form. They usually get along pretty well, though she doesn't care much about family ties.

There's something undeniably creepy about these three, even if they are Rogue's little brothers. Like Gen, Rogue can't help but be wary of these three, family ties or not.

On the night of a full moon, if shadows move on their own and laugh, it must be Gengar's doing.
No one knows whether Ghost-type Pokemon are the ghosts of deceased Pokemon, or if they are a breed of their own. Gengars rank among the most mischevious of Pokemon, as do its predecessors, Haunter and Gastly. Gengars tend to live in abandoned, dark places, though they're often attracted to churches and temples. They form tightly-knit groups with other Ghost-type Pokemon and function as a private society, complete with a system of rank. The leader is always a fully evolved, powerful Ghost-type. Gengars, like other Ghost-types, can phase through matter. They can also float without any visible way of doing so.

        σиce upσи α τiмe 。。。
It is a common misconception that Ghost-type Pokemon have no age, and don't age. Like other Pokemon, Ghost-types grow up, evolve, and mature. Gen is nineteen years old, though his species can live well into the hundreds. He has two brothers -- Haunt, a Haunter, and Gif, a Gastly -- and lives within a community that reside in the upper attic of a large church. It's prime real estate in the Ghost Pokemon world. Gen occasionally leaves his home to go sightseeing, which is how he ran into Scorpio and Rogue for the first time. Like all Gengars, Gen is very playful and outgoing, much to Rogue's distaste.

        wσяτн α τнσusαиd wσяds 。。。
Standing at 5'3, Gen is short in comparison to the rest of his species. He weighs just over 100 pounds, which is normal for a Ghost-type Pokemon. Gen is very playful and doesn't know when to take things seriously. His jokes can sometimes be cruel without him realizing it. Gen is also very childish when he doesn't get his way. He loves his brothers (and Ghost-types in general) dearly, and would do anything to keep his home and family safe. It's very rare to see Gen acting serious though -- he's too much of a goofball for that.

        κeep iτ secяeτ 。。。
Gen is not pronounced like the "gen" in "generation." Imagine a fangirl squealing "eeee!" Use that sound for the e in Gen and you're close. I have named all of my Gengars Gen!! (yes, with "!!" at the end), since the first time I played Pokemon Red. It was only natural that his name would stay the same here. Gen is decidedly pansexual, finding it silly to tie himself down to one gender over the other. No one knows how he's able to float, himself included.

Gen loves pissing Scorpio off. There's no real reason behind it, he merely finds it fun. He does like Scorpio though, as the Drapion is always a good match, and a good friend.

What does Rogue think of Gen? He doesn't know, and the Crobat tends to ignore him and pretend he doesn't exist. Gen doesn't like that, and is suspicious of him. Besides, he's pink.
