Rowan has a naturally cheerful outlook on life. Sometimes it could be said that she is simply too happy at times to accept reality. Still, she does have some sense as to how bad the real world can be sometimes.

Loyalty is something that needs to be respected, according to Rowan's beliefs. Betrayals are out of the question for the red-head. Once she gets close to someone and fully trusts them, it is expected that she will do everything she can to protect them. It also gives her extra incentive in helping her loved ones out.

Helping others and putting them first is practically second-nature to her. Her parents taught her the value of treating others well, so it is rare for her to actually be negative about someone, whether human or animal.

Inherited from her father, this aspect of her is one Rowan tries hard to keep secret. She bottles it up inside for fear of one day lashing out at someone. Sometimes the idea of physical violence is strong enough to have her so tempted to let loose. It only makes her tighten the reins further. There are a few rare moments though where she is unable to hide it.

While trust is a good thing, Rowan is the kind of girl who finds it very easy to depend on people. Giving someone her trust or love happens fairly quickly. Not that she is so shallow-feeling, but rather that she simply has a conscience that does not struggle as hard as it maybe should.

It is not a very noticeable thing but it is one gained from her spending so much time on those around her. It is easy for her to compare herself to others. She needs the extra effort to be self-assertive in situations for her own gain. There appears to be no problem when doing it for others.

Rowan grew up in a city many hours away from Bluebell and Konohana. Her mother was a veterinarian and her father was an agriculturalist. They were never well off, and oftentimes struggling was necessary. But it was a happy childhood, marred only by the fact that her mother, due to natural complications, was unable to have anymore children. Rowan was doted upon and when it came to her future life, both of her parents decided it was better if it was done somewhere without the negative influences of city life. Coupled in with the fact that both adults desperately wanted a change in scenery, their move to a place in the country was eminent. Her father had known a friend who had briefly lived in Bluebell, and that had been the deciding factor for their choice of destination.

Barely six years old when they arrived in Bluebell, Rowan had taken to the countryside village like a duck takes to water. The wildness of the surrounding area helped cultivate her already present love for animals, emphasized more so when her parents decided to open up a pet shop. It was also the first time she made proper friends, starting with the older girl next door, January, and then a little later, Lore, a miner. Rowan grew up happy and content, if a little too trusting. When her parents decided to retire early and take their chance to see the world, Rowan stepped up to take over the shop. When not working in the store or doing her duty as a vet - she had always been a hands-on kind of girl - Rowan can often be seen talking walks, usually with one or several of the pets, around the village.

Rowan is naturally slender and a little fragile looking. She is tougher than she appears though, due to her rather active lifestyle in taking care of hyperactive animals. Her optimistic outlook on life is often reflected in a healthy glow, apparent even with her rather pale skin. Rowan's outfits vary according to her mood and the occasion. Most of the time, though, she can be seen wearing simple, casual clothing that provide maximum ease of movement. Her skin has a tendency to burn easily so long sleeves and jeans are a norm for her. The few girly outfits she does have stem from January's influence.
