This is why I dislike cold weather. ✖✖✖ Now, a little deeper. ●Goofy. ●Protective. ●Secretive. ●Random. ●What I've left behind. I was lucky enough to have been born to two great parents. My father was a Yamato and my mother was originally from Ireland. My mother moved to Kyoto because of her job, she had a business meeting where she met my father, they fell in love, and the next thing you know they have me. Everything was going well, until my father tried to hold me. One minute he was holding his beautiful baby girl, the next minute he was holding a snake. My father knew what was going on, obviously my mother did not; she was suprised to say the least. It took my mother years to accept the fact her daugther was cursed with the snake of the zodiac, but during that time she still acted like a mother. I was so lucky. Especially since most parents can't handle it when they find out their kids are cursed with the spirits of the zodiac. My luck ran out though. I don't remember where I was, or even what time it was, all I remember is getting that call. My parents had been in a car accident and they weren't going to make it. I had to have a friend drive me to the hospital, because there was no way I could drive myself. When I finally got to the hospital I was taken straight to their hospital room. When I think back on this, I can't remember what my parents looked like, or what was said just the feelings. One of the stronger feelings was anger, I felt so angry because I couldn't even hug my father one last time. After my parents' unfortunate death I went to stay at the Yamato estate. I only left my room to go to my job as a florist, and it seemed that I'd become sucked into a deep depression, but eventually I got out of it. I started living my life again and decided to move out of the Yamato estate. My decision wasn't exactly pleasing to all of the other Yamato family members, especially our God. But I did what I did and got an apartment by the florist shop I worked at. Everything was going great. I was living a normal life, for the most part, and I was happy to be alive. Cursed or not I had decided I was going to live life to its fullest. Then we moved. All the cursed members of the Yamato family moved. I can't exactly recall why, because what comes to the forefront of my mind is being told I was getting married. Apparently my fiance was a snake, literally, he was cursed with the spirit of the snake. I could have sworn someone was playing a joke on me; I hadn't even unpacked all my things and now I was getting married to another snake. First if all, I'm supposed to be the only snake. Second, I didn't even know this guy. But I don't really have a choice in the matter, none of us do. You don't go against a God, whether you fear them or not it just isn't done. So, I've just started to look at this as a marriage of convenience, because I'm not really one of those girls that's into dating and relationships. I've got a lot of other stuff going on and I can't really be tied down. We'll just have to see how this goes. ●Don't mock me! Ha, ha, ha! ✖✖✖ Lists Gimme! ♥Flowers. ♥Costumes. ♥A good book. The Snake
Snakes are romantic and charming. They are deep thinkers and always mysterious. Snakes are graceful and soft spoken. They love a good book and appreciate all of the arts. They lean towards all of the finer things in life. Snakes trust themselves above all others and are seldom wrong; but behind a sophisticated front,Snakes are very superstitious! Snakes are good with money and don't have to worry about finances. Somehow, when money is needed, it appears. In spite of their good luck with money, Snakes should never gamble. They could suffer big losses if they did, but Snakes learn fast. Once they have made a mistake, they never repeat it. They also never forgive you if you break a promise. By nature they are skeptical beings but keep their suspicions to themselves. They are very private and not concerned with the business of others. Idle gossip is not for them. Snakes can be possessive in their relationships with others. They are passionate but jealous lovers. You can never tell how far Snakes will go to achieve their aims. They are relentless and their computer-like brains never stop plotting. When you anger them, you feel their icy hostility instead of hearing any sharp words. They will bide their time for revenge, so watch out! Snakes are elegant dressers, well-mannered, and always discrete. They always appear quiet and docile, but watch out, they never betray their true feelings. Their moves are planned out well in advance and they will hold their position to the bitter end. They can be evasive, and just when you think you have them, they slip away. Snakes make good politicians since they can negotiate just about anything. Snakes also have a great sense of humor, and even in a crisis situation, they can lighten the atmosphere. They never lose their spark even when weighed down by trouble themselves. Being pillars of strength, they always maintain their presence of mind during confusion or crisis. Snakes have beautiful skin. They possess a cool and classic air about them. They love expensive things, too. Snakes save for the real thing rather than buy an imitation. Snakes admire power and surround themselves with successful people. Their many talents and natural abilities make them sought-after as leaders. People admire and support Snakes even if they don't understand them. Whatever happens, Snakes always strike out for themselves. They know how to use people and situations to their advantage. They are destined for fame and fortune. Ayame Sohma, aged 27–29, is the snake of the Chinese zodiac, and Yuki's older brother. Ayame is depicted as vivacious, flamboyant, self-confident, and self-centered, with a knack for annoying Yuki and Kyo (one of the few things they initially agree upon). In an author's note, Natsuki Takaya described him as a draining person to meet in real life. Despite his age, he refers to himself with the boyish pronoun boku. He has gorgeous eyes (gold) and silver hair, which Tohru notes is similar to Yuki's violet eyes and grey hair. He runs a shop, named after himself, that sells custom-made "romantic costumes" such as frilly dresses and maid costumes with the help of Mine Kuramae, his seamstress. He is best friends with Shigure and Hatori, who are the same age; Ayame and Shigure like to pretend that they are lovers, while Hatori is the only one, according to Shigure and Takaya, who can restrain Ayame's worst behavior. As the snake, Ayame is especially susceptible to cold. When Ayame was in high school, he was president of the student council, and is proud that Yuki is following him. Ayame fears the "nothingness" of not being acknowledged. When Ayame was young, he completely ignored Yuki, and even forgot Yuki's name once, but during the series he realizes that he will be totally alone with his brother when he gets older. This spurs an obsession with gaining Yuki's love, which he attempts to do by demanding it from Yuki. As the series progresses, however, Yuki accepts Ayame as a brother, and even tries to understand him. Takaya derived the name Ayame (normally a female name, meaning iris) from the fifth month, ayamezuki or "month of falling irises," which is the month of the snake, of the traditional Japanese calendar The Monkey No task is too great for the clever Monkeys. They master most anything. They have extremely charming manners that draw others. Monkeys solve difficult problems with ease. They are quick-witted,innovative, and they have total and intense belief in themselves. No one delights in their own accomplishments like the Monkeys. Enjoying themselves immensely, they try anything at least once! Monkeys are intellectual and their memory is phenomenal. They recall the smallest details of everything they have seen, read, and heard. They must depend on that memory since they have an otherwise untidy mind. Monkeys are wizards with money. They are original, shrewd, and when they need to, they can fool anyone. There are a hundred and one fantastic schemes they want to try, and you can bet they make some of them work. Even when they take you in, it is hard to be angry with them, or begrudge them anything. They don't care what opinions others have of them. They know they are lucky, and they also know they have the ability to change things when convenience calls. Monkeys are virtually unsinkable! When the odds are stacked against them, Monkeys know when to quit. Their timing is superb, and they will wait to try another time. If you try to trick Monkeys, they will probably catch you. They never make a move without a plan. They are great strategists. They can spot an opportunity in any form. They never miss a trick! Monkeys are hard workers once they have a piece of the action. The bigger the piece, the better they do. Monkeys like to travel, and they want to do it first class. They need a certain amount of excitement in their lives. Since Monkeys get what they want without too much trouble, they may not care about all their conquests. They lose interest quickly and must learn to finish what they start and take care of what they have. People always flock around Monkeys, but Monkeys don't trust very much. They know a select group of friends that they choose carefully. Money is a must for Monkeys, and they usually have it, or will be in the process of getting it.They know nothing is permanent. They improve and try to do better, and often amaze even themselves. Monkeys like facts and they hateto waste time. Always remember, Monkeys don't care if you approve of them or not, and if not careful, you will be eating right out of their hands! They are the ultimate diplomats and slip in and out of difficulties with ease. Monkeys must be careful in romance, although clear-sighted, they are very critical and lose interest in anyone they can't consider their peer. They are vain and egotistical, but even that is to their advantage. Monkeys are always out in front! Ritsu Sohma, aged 21–22, is the monkey of the Chinese zodiac. He is depicted as a beautiful but unstable young man with very low self-esteem and a tendency to overreact. He apologizes frantically for everything, even things that are not his fault. In this, he takes after his mother, the hostess of the Sohma family's onsen, whose position he is in training to take over. Ritsu dresses in women's clothing because he says he then feels less pressure from society, and is initially mistaken for a woman by Tohru Honda because of his long hair and beauty. Most Sohmas call him "Rit-chan" and, to Shigure's amusement, Tohru calls him "Rit-chan-san". Shigure likes to play with Ritsu's insecurities and gullibility, much as he does his editor, Mitsuru; when Ritsu and Mitsuru meet, they realize they have this in common, and in a bonus story in the first fan-book, he and Mitsuru are a couple. In the final chapter of the manga, Ritsu is giving Kagura one of his women's kimonos, has cut his hair short, and is not dressed like a girl. Natsuki Takaya derived his name from the eighth month, odakaritsuki or "rice harvest month," which is the month of the monkey, of the traditional Japanese calendar. As far back as he could remember, his parents always had to apologize for everything he did, so he is very unsure of himself. He feels that every day, he is robbing the world of its air by breathing. He found that it always made him feel more comfortable to dress like a girl, but that only gave his parents even more to apologize for. Since he looks so much like a girl, that's what Tohru thought when she first saw him, until he accidently transformed. Somehow, Tohru convinced him that he does have a reason to live, he just hasn't found it yet. |

→Tsuki Yamato ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ ![]() Tsuki appeared to be asleep, lying peacefully on her side, however this was not the case. Tsuki was wide awake. She just didn't want to leave her bed, but she knew that she had no choice she'd have to start getting ready. There was no way she could miss today, unless she wanted to face the wrath of the Yamato God. Tsuki pulled the covers back, swung her legs over the side of the bed, and sat up. The moment Tsuki's feet touched the chilly hardwood floor of her apartment the sleepy look on her face was gone. "I hate that." She muttered as she stood and headed out of her room. Tsuki was a bit hungry so she decided to head to the kitchen before getting ready. Tsuki reached her small kitchen and opened the refrigerator, her eyes scanned over everything once before she decided what she wanted to eat, jello. Green jello to be exact. Sure jello wasn't really breakfast food, but that didn't really matter; she reached into the fridge and pulled out a bowl of jello she had made the other day. Tsuki closed the fridge and walked over to a drawer by the sink, slid it open, grabbed a spoon, and closed it in one fluid motion. Tsuki dug into the bowl and pulled out a spoonful of green jello as she walked back out of the kitchen and into what could barely be called a living room. She plopped down on the couch and continued eating her jello. As Tsuki sat there her thoughts wandered to the day ahead. She didn't feel nervous about meeting her supposed fiancee or even upset about this whole situation, granted she wasn't exactly fond of it, but she felt that stressing over it would be pointless. After a couple more of spoonfuls of jello she decided to get ready. Standing up, Tsuki went to put the jello back in the fridge and tossed the spoon in the sink to be washed later. Walking out of the kitchen and down the hall Tsuki went back into the bathroom. She quickly undressed and hopped in the shower, turning on the water and letting it run over her body. It was warm, of course, Tsuki obviously wasn't a fan of anything cold. Then again Tsuki didn't really know of anyone that liked taking a cold shower, not to say there weren't people out there that liked cold showers. Tsuki stopped wasting time pondering about cold showers and started actually cleaning herself. Starting with her ridiculously long hair. When she was done she grabbed a towel and dried off, once she had dried her body it was time for her hair, Tsuki leaned forward and wrapped the towel around her head and hair. After that Tsuki grabbed a robe that was hanging on the back of her bathroom door, wrapped herself up in it, and headed out to her bedroom. Tsuki lived alone in her apartment, however she wasn't exactly fond of waking around naked. So Tsuki went into her bedroom and ended up standing in front of her closet. She looked through the clothes she had and decided to wear something simple, not like she had anyone to impress. It only took Tsuki a few minutes to get dressed in a pair of skinny leg jeans, a light purple sweater with a dark purple tank top underneath, and dark purple shoes. Tsuki grabbed all her accessories, quickly put them on, and headed back into the bathroom. The mirror was no longer foggy from the shower, so Tsuki pulled the towel off her head and let her hair fall down; she now had to set to work brushing it all out. After a few minutes her hair was tangle free and dry, for the most part, Tsuki decided to just leave her hair down. Next she brushed her teeth and applied eyeliner. She looked at herself in the mirror, it was odd to see herself looking so average when today was anything but average. Tsuki turned her back to the mirror and sighed. "I should go." Tsuki stated, not sounding like usual chipper self. 'Should I go to the Yamato estate and wait for someone else to go with me to the Sohma estate? Or should I just go to the Sohma estate?' As soon as the thought crossed her mind she knew the answer. Tsuki was going to go to the Yamato estate first, even though it could prove to be a horrible decision. She was hoping to have someone to go to the Sohma estate with, but what if she was asked to accompany the God? The God wasn't exactly cruel to Tsuki, well only that one time, but it seemed that the God did tend to act on whims. The God was never predictable, which is what scared Tsuki. But Tsuki doubted that the God would choose her as company for the trip over to the Sohma estate though. "It'll be fine." She said to reassure herself. Tsuki grabbed a helmet that was laying on her kitchen table and left her apartment. Since Tsuki's apartment was on the third floor she had to walk down a few flights of stairs, but when she got to the bottom she was greeted with the sight of her favorite possession. Her motor scooter. Tsuki didn't feel it was necessary to own a car, but every place she had to go was too far away to walk or bike to, so she settled on a motor scooter. It had taken her years to save up enough money to buy it, but she finally had it and she absolutely adored it. Tsuki's scooter was a navy blue with a black leather seat, which was always warm after sitting in the summer sun for a our or so. The only issue with Tsuki's scooter was apparent when winter came, obviously a motor scooter wasn't a good mode of transportation when cold weather turned you into a snake, so during the winter Tsuki took the bus. Putting on her helmet, Tsuki hopped on the motor scooter and was off. It hadn't taken her very long to get to the Yamato estate. Hopping off the motor scooter Tsuki looked around the outside of the estate. She found this place to be very beautiful, however that wasn't enough to make her want to stay there. Tsuki turned back to her scooter and lifted the seat, underneath the seat was a storage compartment which held another helmet in case Tsuki ever had a second passenger, she put her helmet in with the extra and put the seat back down. Tsuki put the keys in the front, right pocket of her pants and walked towards the front door of the Yamato estate, a grin on her face. She was greeted by one of the maids of the estate, they exchanged pleasantries and Tsuki was shown into what could be called a living room, though there wasn't anyone in it now. Tsuki was told that the Yamato members who hadn't left yet were still getting ready, or just getting up, so she'd have to wait. 'Fine with me.' She thought as she sat down, her back and head resting against a wall. Tsuki stifled a yawn, apparently the rest she had gotten last night wasn't enough as she was now feeling fatigued. Tsuki closed her eyes, telling herself she was just resting them, and waited to see if anyone was going to go with her to the Sohma estate. If not then at least she got to put off going. ![]() ♦ xxx ♦ xxx ♦ xxx ♦ xxx ♦ xxx ♦ |
