Just like her character, Ino is usually wearing at least something purple, even if it's just a purple bangle or stud earring. It's her favorite color, and she loves how she gets to wear it for the show. Rarely does this blonde wear lavender or other pale shades of the color, preferring to wear darker clothes regardless of the weather in order to let her hair stand out more.

At five feet five inches, Ino is hardly short compared to the average Japanese woman her age. But that doesn't mean that she doesn't love to wear high heels. In fact, she's gotten to the point where she's just not comfortable in anything else. Hell, even her flip-flops have a heel to them.

Oh, how Ino loves her graphic tees. The slogans on them make her smile, and show off her personality. Sure, she can't wear them all the time, but she is happiest in dark jeans, high-heeled boots, and a tight T-shirt with a cocky saying on it.

Her hair is naturally straight and pale, though she has been known to dye part of it when she is in the mood (always temporary dye of course, and she uses special shampoos and conditioners for her hair to keep it healthy). Ino also loves styling it for a night out on the town, or just because she feels like it. Her hair is not really as long as it appears in the show though, she uses extensions to get it to that length when in actuality it's more around mid-back length.

Ino doesn't look like your typical Japanese teen, and her baby blue eyes are just another piece of evidence of her mixed blood, and they're some of her best weapons in getting people (read: guys) to do what she wants.

Unlike her character, Ino doesn't focus much on dieting to maintain her body shape, instead relying her speedy metabolism. When she's asked as to how she can eat so many carbs with all the bread she adores, her answer is an enigmatic smile and the simple statement that she's French. It probably helps that she's always moving though, whether it's dancing around her dorm room or just pacing as she waits for her scene. While her chest is a decent size, it doesn't overwhelm her body, thus keeping everything perfectly proportionate.

Not only does Ino have her ears pierced (two times more in each ear than is shown in the show), but she also has her navel pierced as well as a small amethyst stud in her right nostril. She takes most of them out for when she's on camera though, leaving just the earrings that her character wears in.

Ino was born in Paris to the second son of the CEO of a Japanese flower company, Masaru Yamanaka, and a well-known French fashion designer, Esmé duBois-Yamanaka. A globe-trotter from a young age, she spent summers either visiting her father's family in Japan, or her mother's relatives in Louisiana. Because of this, Ino was fluent in three languages before she hit her teens. She was a common sight at her mother's fashion studio, and was often the model for children's designs, something that stuck with her even today. It seemed that the young Ino's life was perfect.

That perfection only lasted until Ino was twelve. Her parents had been fighting a lot around then, apparently Masaru wanted to move the family to Japan so that he could help his older brother out with taking over the family company when his father (Ino's grandfather) retired and Esmé needed to stay in France to oversee her label. In the end, neither would budge and they ended up getting a divorce. Ino was given the choice of which parent to stay with, and she ended up moving to Japan with her father. The reason for this was she had been wanting to model, but she was too short by French standards. In Japan, however, she was tall enough to do so.

With her exotic (well, exotic for Japan) looks, Ino was able to get into the modeling circuit easily. The beautiful half-French girl was in demand for magazine spreads, runway shows, and commercials. The camera adored her. Her father hired a tutor, to keep his daughter caught up with her schooling, and she managed to balance both. It was on the set of a commercial she was in that she was offered the role of the strong-willed kunoichi Ino Yamanaka, and the blonde fell in love with the character. And, as they say, the rest is history~

Just like her name suggests, Ino has a tendency to be boarishly stubborn. She hates backing down, and will stick to what she believes even if she's wrong. This can cause her to make enemies fast, but she doesn't really care. It also means that she won't let anyone change her mind when she's decided something's right.

Sure, her parents got divorced, but Ino has always been a hopeless romantic. She loves rom-coms, and is usually reading some romance novel. Ino's also all for finding "the one", but until then, she'll work with what she has there. Sure, she's a flirt, but it's all an attempt to find the guy for her. And she's the one to go to when someone has love trouble, since she'll do everything she can to help.

Ino accepts nothing less than the best — from her fellow actors, from the crew, and, most of all, from herself. She is her own worst critic, and is the first to say that she did terribly. At times, she will want to redo a scene time and time again until she has met her own perfectionistic standards. This doesn't help endear her to directors, but she's not perfect. No matter how much she tries to be.

As Ino likes to say, she's French. There is little that this blonde won't say, no matter how inappropriate it might be. Sex is a perfectly fine topic for casual conversation in her mind, and she doesn't care if others disagree. It's nearly impossible to embarrass her, since she takes pride in pretty much everything she does, acknowledging her mistakes as well as her successes. It's a bad idea to play Truth or Dare with her, because she will not only ask any question or make the most outrageous dares, but she will answer and do anything.

Sure, she has a habit of being flighty, and teases her friends a ton, but when things get bad, Ino will be the first to defend those that have earned her loyalty.
