Lorna Dane isn’t the typical “bad guy”. She’s more neutral when it comes to her feelings about the war against mutants and humans. The only emotion she’s showing is anger and that’s why she’s with the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Growing up Lorna new she was different and it wasn’t until the wake of her mutant abilities that it was confirmed. Lorna abilities enable her to sense and control magnetism, which allows her to generate magnetic energy pulses, create force fields, and manipulate the Earth's magnetic field that allows her to fly. Before the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Lorna was an X-Men. The X-Men allowed her to explore her abilities and Charles taught her how to control them and not let them control her. Once she gained control of her abilities she felt the X-Men were not her place. She needed more and that’s why she left the X-Men and joined the X-Factor. Once she was apart of the X-Factor she found out that a man by the name of Erik Lehnsherr was her father, which explained her mutant power. Once she found out about Magneto being her father she tried to build a relationship with him, but before she could he was taken away and that’s when she left the X-Factor and joined the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Lorna has pledge to use the abilities that her father has bless her with to bring him back so she can have the father she always dreamt of.
