The girl was horrified; she had not only lost one litter but many others. Most of the things that had happened during her years as an out of control Lycan were still eluding her, she could only recall so much of those lost years. He had explained to her that she had been running away from him, she knew that much.
She understood that in her animalistic state she did not see him as she did now; she would not follow him unless he was dominant over her. The transition from him being her subordinate had changed recently, he was now the one in control and that is why she followed him. While she was in her human mindset she would follow him now matter what, he made her feel safe. The comfort and security he offered was one of the many things that caused him to be alluring to her.
Bricia listened to him closely as he told his story. Unlike her, he had been able to control himself and gather enough of an emotional stability that even while in his other shape he kept control. This made her feel like a burden to him, here he was with enough control over himself to keep sane and she could hardly do the same. She was scared of any little thing that approached her that she did not recognize, and her mind would quickly judge it to be malicious.
There were so many things that he could do and have if she was not in his way. She knew that he would probably lead a much calmer lifestyle than the one he was probably leading now. “I’ve been getting in the way of your happiness all this time…haven’t I?”
His arms held her in place as her legs were giving out under her, the stress was taking its’ toll on her body but she was still coherent. Sadness and slight confusion clouded her mind that was okay though. At least now she knew what had actually happened, she was her right senses and this was just a rude awakening from the fairytale land she had been in.
Her hands went up to his face and cupped it gently as she began to speak, “I’m so sorry that I haven’t been lucid enough to be there for you. All of these things that have clearly in my face, I’ve eluded…all of these memories I’ve been avoiding because I was too scared to admit to myself what I actually was.” She paused a moment to find the right words to continue, “Marcos, I love you. You’re the best little brother I could have ever hoped to have, and I’m thankful for everything that you’ve done for me.”
It was true, she was thankful even happy that he had actually taken the time to care for her, but at the same time felt guilty. She had not been there for him when he needed her; he had probably suffered constant loneliness while she was away. Her hands trembled as she brought him down to her level, giving him a gentle kiss.
“I’ll never leave you again.” Since she had awakened from her ‘fainting’ session earlier this year when her mind had fabricated the lie of her parents having died in a car crash, she knew that something was not the same...that they were not the same. The life they had beforehand was gone and the only traces left of it were their existence.
Bricia offered him an actual smile, “Why don’t we go get something to eat? I’m really hungry and the only thing left in the refrigerator was some milk.” She was trying her best to keep her mind off the things that would cause her stress and make her break under its’ weight.
The washer ended its cycle as she pried herself from his grip and went to their bedroom. Her steps lacked the usual grace that they had when she was not ill. She figured she had enough grip on herself that she could handle being outside as long as he was with her. Bricia knew he would need something different to run around in outside, something that would help them blend.
The girl took a deep breath as she made her way into the bathroom where they had the shared closet. She began to rummage through the clothing that was hanging from the metal pole. Bricia came across a set that she had ordered for him about four months ago and he had yet to wear and pulled it off the hanger, then grabbed a pair of shoes that she knew would go well with it.
Before leaving the bathroom, she readjusted her make-up so that it was no longer running. Closing the bathroom door behind her, she dropped his clothing onto the bed then grabbed her jacket and gloves. “I hope you don’t mind going out right now…but I feel like I have to feed two of me.”

Marcos stood there watching her face. She looked like someone had stolen all the things she had ever held dear to her in her life and destroyed them right in front of her. Her once clear eyes had become clouded with emotion and they had some what turned yellow again. But it was more of a gold shade he once saw this shade in the mirror before, right after he had turned. This gave Marcos hope that she would be able to stay lucid a lot longer now. Much more so then the many years before hand. As he told her about what had happened she was very much paying attention her eyes almost solid gold now. He came to think this was what a lucid Lycan's eyes looked. Then she stopped him saying she had been a hindrance in his life. He never thought this though. He always thought of his family as his life he only wished he could have saved his nieces and nephew's from there morbid fates through the past. He always blamed himself for there poor little lives being lost. If only he had gotten to them first and protected them like he should have then they may still be alive. Then she cupped his face. This was a bit surprising for him because he was still on edge not being sure if she was going to throw him through another door. Then she started talking apologizing for all the things that he had gone through trying to keep up with her all these years. He didn't really mind the hunt for her is what forced him to stay sane. If she had died that night as well he would of lost all reason to live and probably would of just lost his mind totally like she did. Then she told him how she truly felt this was a huge step forward she had never been this lucid before he was starting to become weak kneed did his beloved sister finally take her world back? Was she here to stay or was she going to lose it again? Then she kissed him on his cheek and told him she'd never leave him again. He smiled at this and watched as she slowly leg herself take her own wait and made her way out of the room. From her smell alone he new she was going up to the second floor he yawned his wounds were healing fairly quickly but they were still bleeding some and he was in a fair bit of pain. He breathed in slowly through his nose and a sent he new but hadn't smelled in a long time but he ignored it. He didn't care to much about the sent at this point. He new it was a non hostile sent. Marcos was starving. He had to use a lot of energy to fight the Lycan the night before and hiking and healing himself up and still hadn't eaten. He felt like his stomach was eating itself. He had gotten used to being in the city so many sent's all around him some hostile and some not human. He couldn't believe when he first got here how many non human sents that were here. He assumed that more then half of the city were in some way not a normal human. But they weren't all like him. It was hard to explain. He only wanted to be left alone so he had to cover his and her sent a lot. It was not easy but he did this by keeping in area's where there were so many much more potent sents around to cover there's. There was a lot of vampire's in this area and they new that he and her were here but didn't seem to care. It was in the truce between races not to bother one another because it could cause normal people to find out of the tribes. Marcos simply wanted to be left alone by staying near so many vampires it kept most of the Lycan trides at by. Simply because they didn't want to risk starting a war to rid the world of a very small Lycan tride like Marcos's. Marcos new they were mostly safe at the moment from large pack's anyways. But from a rogue male who wants a mate he new they were vulnerable to a smart one or even a berserker. He new she couldn't control herself when she turned he didn't really know if he could trust her in a fight to have his back considering but he wasn't about to risk it when ever a male who wasn't attached to a group came near Marcos would simply take them out or give them a fiery warning to leave. He worried that sooner or later they may just need to go hide in the wild some where so they could have a more advantageous position. He walked around to the stair's and walked up them on all fours. He always did this he new it was some what weird but even when he was young all those years ago he did it and it just simply never went away. It kind of helped him remember that he isn't a monster. The fact that he did things that he had even when he was a human made him happy. Once he got to the top of the stairs he walked into the bathroom and locked himself in. He turned and turned on the water in the shower so he could wash all the blood off and clean the wounds on his body so they would heal faster. He waited till the water turn a bit warm then climbed into it. He whinced at the water hitting all of his open cuts. Marcos was used to this sort of thing though. This had been his life for the last five years. Bounty after bounty rogue Lycan wanting to steal his sister away every few months. It was tiring but he had little other choices. Once he was clean of dirt and the blood had mostly gone down the drain he watched as a cut on his arm slowly closed before his eyes. Sometimes when he watched things like this he would wonder what it had use to be like when he was normal. How did wounds close then. Was it this fast or was it slow? Did the humans become weaker over the years or stronger? What about the Lycans? Most of the ones he has seen were far weaker then he. He always wondered if they were weaker then was his blood stronger or were they just really weak. Marcos sighed washing himself totally clean so he could get rid of the horrid smell of death on him. Once he was clean he stepped out of the shower picked up a towel and dried himself off. Marcos wrapped himself in the towel and opened the bathroom door then walked slowly over to the bedroom that he and his sister shared. He saw the clothes she had put out for him and softly grinned. She was always so much more organized then he was. Then she came out of the bedroom bathroom and and grabbed her gloves then said she hoped that he didn't mind them getting some food. He new she was hungry as well considering before this job they had to use all of the reserve stocks of food and money they had. Marcos had not had much work of late and there food supplies were getting low. Lucky for them this job came around and the pay was very good. Marcos figured that it was because a lot of pretty girls were being kidnapped and turned by that rogue berserker. The Biggest Lycan pack in the state had actually come to him to remove the threat. He wondered why they would come to him but he didn't mind the work. He wondered what they were testing him for. He new that a pack that big could handle such a thing on there own it made him a little uneasy that they would come to a merc like himself but he new that if they wanted to destroy them it would have happened already. Marcos smiled at Bri and said. "Na its alright. I am starving too Bri. Its early but I could really use about 3 nice size porter house steaks and a baked potato." Marcos walked over to a dresser pulled out some under garments and tossed his towel on the bed and promptly pulled on his new under garments. Then put on his new clothes over his very scared body once he was clothed he stretched and said. "So want to head to a steak place now because I am so hungry I might snack on one of the neighbor hood dogs on the way." He laughed a bit having been joking. It was one of the jokes he normally said when they went out for steak.

Bricia had been mindlessly been pulling on her gloves as he was smiling about something. It made her happy to see those kinds of expressions on his features; recently he had not been showing these kinds of random happy faces. Marcos verified that he was also hungry, and that he would not mind going out to eat a fairly large portion of meat on his part. She watched him as he paused a moment, as if thinking about something then continued his routine.
Their usual habits were more that of a married couple than siblings, all of the things she had failed to see were standing out now. Her dark brown eyes averted their attention back to her gloves as he began to rummage through his drawer filled with undergarments. Bricia shifted her weight as she pulled on the jacket she had left on the dresser earlier that morning.
It was not as if she had not seen him naked a thousand times before, it was not like if she took a peek that it would make a difference. But, her looking away was one of those things that had remained from her human customs. It pained her to see the marks on his arms, chest and back when he did not wear a shirt. Up until now she had guessed it was from work, but it had to be because of something else.
She shrugged it off for now as she picked up the towel he had left on the bed and went to the bathroom, hanging it where the towel rack was. It pleased her to hear that he was in a joking mood, he went about saying his ‘eating the dog’ statement and she could not help but to giggle.
The dark haired girl moved toward one of the drawers and took out his phone. He normally left it there when he would go out on important business like he had the night before. Her intuition told her that it may come in handy so she took it in her hand. She held the black contraption as they walked out of their room, after he had grabbed his wallet.
“If you eat all the dogs then you won’t have room for the main course,” she replied to his comment with a smile as they made their way out of the apartment, with her wrapped around his arm. Bricia had no idea what story he had told the neighbors or the landowner for that matter when they had moved here.
The only thing that she was certain of was that they had been living here for about a year with no real incident. She blushed partially and hid the faint rosy coloration by ducking her head as she remembered the only real events that had happened in the past five years. Her hands gripped the fabric of his thick jacket as she began to recall that particular occasion.
She was blushing like mad and even the cold Seattle weather was not making her cool down. One of her cheeks was pressed against his arm and she was pretty sure that he could feel the heat that was coming off of her. The first month that he had brought her here she went into heat. The memory itself was very vivid and as her body reacted to it she attempted to push it out of her thoughts by thinking about other things.
The truth was that she felt even more so like a lost puppy now that she knew what her relationship with him was. Bricia was his mate that did not bother her as much as she thought it would. It was like her mind had already set itself to be what was expected of her and that helped her emotional state in staying balanced.
The smells of the outside world were comforting; the smell of the trees, dirt and snow reminded her of home. Bricia could not recall exactly where home had been, or if they were even in the right country. About the only thing that she was sure of was that it was during the time of the Great Depression and that they had started speaking English before having turned.
Bricia felt the cold wind whip at her legs through the tears on her blue jeans. She shivered slightly; the cold weather should not affect her considering she was normally at a warm temperature. The fact was that she had been getting random changes that had been affecting her body, like these changes in her body temperature and vomiting sessions.
“Umm,” she began in a quiet tone. “Marcos, do you think that we can get sick with a cold or flu? Like something off of those television commercials? Do people like us die of natural causes? Do we die of age?” The idea made sense in her head; she was not really sure how their immune system was like in comparison to a human’s.
He was the one leading the way down the sidewalk while she clung to him like a woman would to the man that she loved. Lucky for them the only resemblance that they shared was that of their dark hair and dark eyes, so under any circumstances they could pass off as lovers. Bricia was almost certain that some of their neighbors probably already assumed this and the fact that they shared a last name probably made them think that they were a recently married couple or something of the sort.
Unlike her brother she was unawares of the reality that they were living in an area that had a large population of vampires. She knew the difference in smells, but she had no idea what it meant as far as what they were. A yawn passed her lips and she pressed her mouth against his arm to silence the sound she made.
She took in the sounds of the cars passing by, the wind rustling the leaves on the trees, people conversing, and the sound of the snow crunching beneath their feet as they walked. It was as if they were in a winter wonderland, it was a comforting time of year. The snow and cold weather made her remember that Christmas was not that far off, she pondered on what they would be doing this year.
Now that she was in complete control of herself she hoped that they may be able to visit their old home, or maybe the grave of their parents. She had that much of a grasp on reality now, or at least she prayed that she did. The world was not crashing on her like it had so many times before, and like it had threatened to earlier.
Yes, her fairytale world had been shattered. Everything that she knew had been taken into a box and then scattered on the floor as if she was not there, but it had to happen. The reason that she was able to remain calm was so that she could be there for the man that had been defending her for so long and she had not even had the coherence to thank him. It was her turn to show him that she would be there for him that she would care for him just as he had been doing for so long.
One of her gloved hands took his in hers and held it firmly, “I don’t think I could have ever gotten a better person to take care of me than you.” Her cheeks flushed slightly and she said with a quiet laugh, “Maybe you should have been the older one between the two of us. After all, I was never much of a leader.”
Marcos had always been the most mature between the two of them. Looking back on how their life as kids had been she knew that she was always running to him when she had made a mistake or had cause herself bodily harm. He would always somehow fix whatever it was that she may have broken and or hurt.
She paused a moment, forcing him to a halt. “I’m not sure if you want to tell me this,” she said looking up at him, “but what exactly are all of those scars from? I know of only where two or three came from. I’ve had a lot of injuries too, but I don’t have half of the marks that you do. Why is that?”
The street they were on was empty, except for the park across the street that was filled with children and parents. She could hear their laughter and them playing, she was fairly sure that he could as well. “And how long exactly does it take for me to be able to give birth to a child? I know that it’s much longer than the nine months it takes for a normal female; I’m just not sure by how much more. I lost track of time from when I gave birth to my first litter and the last one I had…”
Bricia held the sleek cell phone in her gloved hand fairly tightly, “Why do some people smell different than others? Why are some animals afraid of us? Like cats, why are they scared of me? Are our senses of taste and smell weaker or stronger than that of a normal person? How long do we tend to live? Like how many years? And are our years longer or shorter than they are for a normal human?”
The girl paused, taking in some of the cold air as she breathed. She had so many questions to ask him, so many things that she wanted answers to. Her eyes met his; she leaned up on the tips of her toes and ruffled his hair so that it would stick up a little more than it already was. The curiosity she had showed through her eyes and her expression as she awaited his response, there were still so many things that she wanted to ask.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ღ MinSoo

Min awoke on her bed, tired, as she did most mornings. “Good morning, Min. I hope that you have a good day at school,” she said to herself, saying this to herself in the mornings kept her spirits up. Everyday it was either work or school; she was constantly swamped with school work and many requests via internet which was her job. Yes, she was always stressed out and now that she was off on her own as most people her age wanted but she was happy for now.
She had moved to Seoul only four months ago from a city at the tip of South Korea named Pusan. Pusan, and/or Busan as others liked to call it, was about the same size as Seoul, so the transfer had not been all that difficult. Seoul was the largest city in South Korea and Busan came in second to it, but the biggest difference between the two was that one was designated as a Metropolitan City.
So far Seoul had been really nice to stay in, except for the overly trafficked areas that is. At night the city turned into one big Christmas tree as she liked to put it, it was covered in lights of all colors. It was an exciting place to live at with all of the malls and shopping areas. Min always made time to shop at least once every two weeks at these places and she would make sure to invite a girl she knew from the building to go with her.
Her parents had arranged everything for her ahead of time; her father had personally gone to Seoul to see about finding her an apartment in the innermost area of the city. Seoul National University was only twenty minutes away on foot, so she was rather pleased with the area her father had chosen. The people here seemed to mind their own business for the most part. There were one or two that did not, but those she steered clear of.
The girl had managed to make friends with one of the residents that had been living here for a while longer than she had been, her name was Remedy. Min had thought the girl was fairly nice when she came to introduce herself when she moved in; they were both the same age and liked one another. It was a good step forward as far as she was concerned, she had one friend here and she was nice enough for her to want to hang out with most of the day.
Yawning, she sat up and shifted herself so that her feet touched the wooden floor of her apartment. It was a small place it had the necessities which were a bedroom, kitchen, dining area, living room, bathroom, washer/dryer room that was also a closet, and an extra bedroom that had been remodeled into a work station. The apartment was small and she liked that about it a lot, small spaces were easy to keep clean and tidy as long as they were given a daily dusting.
The floor was warm, she noted as she stood up on her feet. As she stretched she made her way into the bathroom that was between her bedroom and her work area, there she began her early morning routine. Looking at herself in the mirror she put up her hair into a ponytail then splashed lukewarm water on her face. “A clean mouth is a happy mouth!” After having done that and brushed her teeth, she leaned over to the side to get the clothes she had set out the night before.
Being that she was a fashion major she always made sure to look as stylish as she possibly could, using clothes she had designed her self. Most of the times she would use dolls and when she was ready to bring the clothes to full size she used an old mannequin her great grandmother had used for making wedding dresses back home in Pusan. That particular mannequin was her most prized possession; it had been given to her by the old woman as her dying gift when she passed at nearly a hundred years of age.
Sighing, she pulled on a gray skirt with white polka dots, then after having removed her sleep shirt a white little tank top with ruffled trim that had a little pink bow wrapped around the waist, and finally a pair of pink heels that matched the pink of her bow. Min smiled as she looked at herself in the mirror. She had come up with this little ensemble a week ago when she was looking through some fabrics.
Sewing was one of her favorite pastimes and that was why she had chosen fashion as her major. If she was a designer she would be able to sew for a living like her great grandmother had. The girl respected her grandmother for many reasons and that was one of them, she did what she loved and survived from it. She remembered as a little girl going to her grandmother’s shop and her teaching her how to sew new outfits for her dolls. That was when she discovered her love for sewing.
Most of her time as a little girl she would spend it in the shop with her grandmother, sewing and drawing up new ideas for clothes so that she could make them for her dolls. Her fascination for crafting did not stop there though; it went all the way into making accessories like jewelry, purses, and even little stuffed animals. By the time she came into her mid teens her friends would constantly be asking her for tips on what to wear and requests for outfits. She smiled as she thought of her best friend back at home, it would be a while before she would be able to go back and visit anyone.
Min then focused her attention back on the mirror; she was set for the day. She was wearing what she had planed to for the day and felt confident that she appeared impeccable as always. Her hair was up in a messy bun that would accent her face perfectly, along with a light coat of foundation that had been accompanied by clear lip gloss, mascara, and eyeliner. “Hello, there, Min. You look gorgeous today,” the girl giggled to herself as she leaned forward and gave the mirror a kiss.
She went to her study room/work room to grab her matching bag for the day. Min yawned sleep fully as she stuffed it with some books, her wallet, and a bag of little necessities for when she thought she needed to doll herself up a bit more. Finally, after having made sure that all of the more important things were in her bag she grabbed her cell phone off the charger, along with her keys to the apartment. Her morning routine was over and now it was time to lock her front door and leave.
Her heels clicked along the concrete floor of the building as she made her way down the hallway. As she made her way to the end of the hallway she put her keys into the pouch of her bag along with her cell phone then zipped up the compartment. She did not really use her cell phone for talking the most she used it for was texting with friends and some classmates whenever they needed help.
Min smiled happily as she finally reached the elevator and there it was, ready for her to board so she walked into the small boxed in area. She pressed the button for the first floor; normally this is where she met up with the other kids that went to school. In the mornings the elevator could get a little crowded, but luckily she was usually the first one on most of the time.
She was hoping to see her friend Remedy this morning. Normally, they would walk to school together and get breakfast on the way unless she needed to go off to see someone or go to a different campus. Min was a morning person and this could either be a bad thing or a good thing depending on who she was with. Some people liked being around her in the morning just so that they could get some of her energy.

Alex yawned a bit then turned and watch her face he noticed her expression change some and wondered why but that answer came right after that thought. She told him about his best friends daughter. His blood daughter. The little girl he had been seeking out was in this town probably walking distance away from him and she was wanting him to visit her home where his daughter was. Alex didn't know what to do. Then she told him it was also her birthday which made it click in his head. It was close to her birthday how could he have forgotten about that. He new he had missed a few birthdays and he owed her and his daughter even though he had given her up to be his best friend. But he never stopped watching after the little girl when he had the chance. In fact he wanted to leave the band because he couldn't take being the third wheel anymore. He wanted a chance to start a real life maybe make a kid of his own. He hadn't really thought it out very well considering but he never really got the chance. In all this time Alex had not really considered what would happen if he did actually find his daughter. What would she think of him? He who had given her up to his best friend and the woman that he loved. What would he tell her or could he tell her anything? Would he even be able to speak for that matter. But then the words of Ashton came to this mind when they first got on stage together and Alex nearly ran away. Ashton told him. Don't worry be yourself that's all they want man. Alex smiled softly as she spoke again telling him it would mean a lot to her if he would. Alex smiled again and said. "I don't really know what will happen. But Ashton asked me to watch over you two so I figure its about time I got around to doing that." He sat up at bit and basically pulled her on top of him. Then he kissed her again and whispered in her ear. "Happy birthday E-an." Alex laughed and tickled her sides a bit then looked around and said. "I'm kind cold do you have any blankets in there?" Alex was actually very cold but like most men wasn't about to go around acting like a pantie waste. He didn't really know why but he still felt light headed and very cold which was part of the reason he pulled her onto himself. She was warm and after he had asked for the blankets he cuddled her enjoying the warmth she provided.

Marcos smiled at her laughing at his lame joke. He was almost scared that it may be too soon to start joking around with her. He finished getting his clothes on and stretched slowly then smiled as she ran over holding his cell phone and began clinging to his arm. Then she made a joke back which made Marcos happy. She seemed fairly excited for someone whose world had just come crashing down around them but he figured it was probably due to this not being the first time she had heard all of it. It was simply the first time she had actually listened to it all and took it in though.
Marcos led the way down the stairs and slowly out the front door. He turned around and blocked the door and smiled while she clung to his arm. He was very hungry and was happy to be clean considering what he had been through the night before. But the things that weighed heaviest on his mind were the Wolf's Bane pack having come to him with that job. No matter how he looked at it. The whole thing was fishy. They controlled more then half the city. They even out numbered the Vampires who controlled the side of town that they lived on and they did not mind laying down the law to put a young wolf or a small pack in there place of things, but not only did they out number all the rest of the packs they were the oldest of the Lycan's that Marcos had ever smelled.
Their scent seemed ancient unlike anything he had ever smelled before, but it was calm not about to burst like a berserker's bloody smell. He knew this smell very well. He even had it some what. He knew the monster that stirred inside him and Bri but he never smelled or sensed this among the Wolf Bane's pack. They had not allowed Bri and himself to find shelter in their side of town; in fact, they had threatened to kill them both if they set foot on their side of town. Even an inch inside Wolf Bane territory and it would mean their deaths.
Some how Marcos did not think they would be that bad considering the calm they exuded. He simply thought they feared the berserker that his sister was and that he could very well be again. He was not really afraid of them but he abided by their laws because he only wanted to live as peacefully as he could with his sister for at least as long as he could.
Marcos glanced at her as because he felt his arm become some what hot and could see her eyes had turned gold again. She was breathing heavy he could tell because of the cold cloud that was formed from her mouth every time she breathed out. Her face was flush and she seemed like she wanted to hide this from him. He imagined she was getting a fairly personal flash back because she seemed to get redder by the second then she simply calmed and her eyes turned back to the brown he knew but had not seen for very long for a long time.
Bricia then turned up and glanced at him and asked him if they could get sick and how long do they live or do they die of natural causes. Marcos thought for a moment as she clung to his arm. He stared off into space for a moment while they walked then said softly and thoughtfully, "Well, I don't remember getting sick. At least not after being bitten. And I have never seen a Lycan die of anything that would remotely be called nature." His voice darkened a little and his face looked slightly sad and almost angry but more mournful then anything else.
Marcos blinked coming to his senses as a neighbor waved at them. He smiled and waved back it was actually one of the neighbor's from that morning that had noticed him coming home covered in blood. Marcos looked a tad nervously at the man but the man smiled and yelled, "Don't let those hooligans get'cha down Marcy my boy. Just keep on keeping on!" The man waved again in a vigorous manner considering his age it actually shocked that a man that old could be that hyper.
He smiled and softly chuckled at the man but thanked him and smiled waved back at him. Marcos always found it amazing how the normal people of the world could be so happy all the time. Even the ones close to death seemed as if they had not a care in the world. Then he felt his sister move her hand and push her and his hand's together and squeezing it softly to him but it would have most likely broken a normal person's hand. Marcos smiled and thought, If I wasn't me. My hand of would probably snapped off. It was a very true statement in his mind but he would never have said it a loud.
She perked up and said that she could never have gotten a better person to care for her then he. He noticed her cheeks had flushed red again but her eyes they did not turn gold they were there normal brown and this if anything said worlds to him. Then she went on saying that he should have been born first because she had never really been leader material. Marcos laughed and stated, "You say that and yet you have been alpha female in every pack I found you in. But still you were always a guide to our family and don't forget it Bri."
He had always looked up to his older sister. He always thought she being so care free was the better off of the two of them. He still thought so. If he could he would have taken a fifty year vacation from reality and just rested for a while but he was not so lucky or maybe he didn't really want that he couldn't really tell himself one way or the other. Then she abruptly stopped pulling him to stop as well. He was a little surprised and at that his stomach growled. He made a face of longing in the direction of the steak place two blocks down then she began asking another question or at least beginning it. Marcos turned to face her. She was staring at his face again and she went on to ask how he had gotten all of his scars and why she had gotten away with so few if any.
Marcos never remembered seeing any scars on her body not that he looked on purpose most of the time. But sometimes control himself to those urges was difficult at best. He glanced a little to his left at the park with families playing happily and carefree. He always envied normal people. Then she brought him back to reality again by asking another question. This one was not one Marcos really knew about. He was never around for a full term of her pregnancy to know such a thing and he never really asked his teacher about that sort of thing. It did not really seem appropriate to ask a three hundred and seventy five year old geezer who actually looked his age such a thing.
He glanced down at her face she was clinching his cell a little bit it was obvious she really wanted to know this stuff then she spoke again. This time a different question but still a fairly well thought out one but it did not stop at only one this time she went on asking pretty much anything it seemed she could think of at that moment. Marcos figured she wanted to ask before he had time to refuse or something. He sat there and softly smiled then responded, "I don't mind answering Bri. But some of that stuff is out of my scope of knowledge. I am honestly not sure why I have more scars but if I had to guess it would be because I try not to turn basically ever. Unless there is no way for me to fight the opponent on equal grounds. I'm guessing that our recovery rate is higher in Lycan form then it is in human form."
Marcos scratched his chin a bit, "And I have no idea how long it takes you to have kids Bri. I've honestly never been around long enough to witness it not that I didn't want to be. But the smells thing I can imagine is from the different smells of Humans Lycan's and Vampires. There are a lot of vampires in this area and they do smell a lot different then normal folks. And as to our life span. The person who taught me to control myself was almost four hundred years old back then my guess is he is well above it now and most likely still kicking. So as to our life span it seems to work in the same way dog years do except in reverse." Marcos smiled and gave her hand a softly squeeze then said, "I will answer any and all questions you may have Bri. But can we eat while I do this?" Marcos was giving her the saddest puppy dog eyes he could muster because he was truly hungry more so then could remember.
He pulled her into a hug and lifted her off the ground and simply started walking again with her in his arms. Her feet were slightly dragging on the ground but it did not hinder his movements he got them to the restaurant fairly quickly. The people in the place knew them well and also knew they often basically bought out all the steaks they had in the store so this made them preferred guests in the place as soon as they walked into it they were greeted by at least three servers and the owner who promptly gave them the best table they had available at that moment. None of the servers or even the owner asked why Marcos was carrying Bri. Marcos softly set her down and patted her head as he sat down in one of the chairs.
