Wang Hwei Yao
but I go by Yao, aru.
● -- name -- ) -- Wang Hwei Yao
● -- roots -- ) -- China
● -- age -- ) -- Twenty-two
● -- birthday -- ) -- 10, October 1983
● -- height / weight -- ) -- 169 cm / 46266 grams
● -- appearance -- ) -- You taught me how to be true to myself
So I’ll always believe as I move forward
Life goes on.
Yao has been mistaken to be a girl for various reasons. One is because of his not so low voice which is normal for some Asian men. Another would be his feminine long hair. It's black, it's silky, and it's long. He likes to keep his long hair up in a lazy pony tail instead of allowing it to fly around everywhere as an untidy mess. In the morning before he brushes his long locks, it tends to be everywhere. When he gets up, they seem to fall into place and are close if not already together. Why he doesn't want to cut his long hair is unknown to others but him. Compared to his hair, Yao's clothing is a bit more manly. Although he isn't as tall as a famous basketball player, he stands above five feet and is dressed in a suit like attire when "appropriate". He tries to be classy in pants, nice shirt, and some sort of coat or jacket to go over with. As long as its comfortable and it looks nice, he'll wear it. His favorite color to wear is read to show his country pride and passion.
● -- family -- ) -- Yao's family is new to this United States of America. He isn't exactly a "first generation American", but he isn't "white washed" either. When Yao was very young, his family decided to escape the current hardships of China. After a very long process and with help from his Korean "cousins", Yao and his family were able to move to America and live in Bastrop. Yao still has some family back in China, but has not been able to visit due to lack of money and chance. In his new home, Yao has been able to adapt to the culture and learn the language quickly with some help. His younger siblings, however, have not since they were born in his new home. While both of his parents are out doing business in Chinese restaurant, Yao becomes the big parent or older brother to his younger brothers and sister. He has three siblings: the eldest of the three is a boy, then a girl, then their baby brother. The eldest of his three siblings is in high school and is still in the little rebellious stage. He tends to get in a lot of trouble both in home and at school; he tends to be the one that Yao and his parents scold the most. The middle sister isn't as bad, but isn't very good either. Although she listens to what Yao says most of the time, she tends to "forget" and do something else. The youngest isn't as bad. He is only in grade school isn't "tainted" as Yao describes his closer siblings which gives him the opportunity to influence him as much as possible.
● -- likes -- ) -- I like a lot of things; here are just a few, aru.
● -- name -- ) ✰ Tea
It's a favorite drink and good for the body. Why else would anyone not like tea? Like most drinks, it comes in various flavors and it isn't too sweet. It is also said to help digest food quicker which means more food to eat without the worry of becoming too fat...sort of. Physical exercise is still needed too. Tea was one of the various things that Yao was able to bring from China and keep since he can just find it at the local grocery store.
● -- name -- ) ✰ Cooking
Cooking is a fun and very helpful hobby. When Yao isn't studying, he likes to get together with friends or family and cook. His parents may not be world class chefs, but their cooking is delicious to this Chinese man and he hopes to copy them and be just as good if not better. Although he is fond of cooking, Yao currently has no intentions of opening up a restaurant. His cooking may not exactly be five star, but it's said to be very delicious.
● -- name -- ) ✰ Shinatty-chan Pandas
They're cute and they originated from China. The former reason makes them his favorite animals. It's said that when he was little, he had a large stuffed panda which he used to call his "pet" although it obviously did not move around and make noise like a live animal would. When he was little, he denied that fact and could sometimes be seen talking to said stuffed animal. It was normal for all little kids...right? Anyway, Yao grew out of it and has the toy stuffed away somewhere.
● -- name -- ) ✰ Family
Maybe it really is just an Asian thing or not. Whether it is or not doesn't matter to Yao who likes to stick with his family even if they don't want to stick to him. Most of the time, he finds himself pushed around by others easily. When he's at home he get's to be the push over...most of the time. As the eldest son, his younger siblings become his responsibility so to say.
● -- name -- ) ✰ Red
The color red has been known to bring in happiness and luck. Why else would they color money envelops red (and gold)? Maybe superstition is the reason why red is Yao's favorite color; although, he could just like the color.
● -- dislikes -- ) -- With likes come dislikes. The two balance each other out like yin and yang...
● -- name -- ) ☢ Disrespect
All he wants is respect which makes him quickly shake his head no towards the opposite. There aren't a lot of people in the world that like to be disrespected. It's hard to forgive someone after this too.
● -- name -- ) ☢ Ailments
They're a pain to what they're affecting and who they are affecting. There's always a way to get rid of them, but the time and method of doing so varies. The effort of ridding one from ailments would have been saved if one didn't get sick. In other words, they're not a good way or reason to slow down.
● -- name -- ) ☢ Thieves
No one likes them unless he is one. Yao is not, and has never been fond of such an act. Once or twice, his family was robbed when they were in China and even in America. Neither was a fun experience.
● -- name -- ) ☢ Backstabbers
Same for thieves except these tend to be a bit more personal.
● -- name -- ) ☢ Strange Pauses
Why do these always happen? They're awkward and almost always happen after Yao tries to introduce one of his young siblings to someone else or when he tries to get the approval for something.
● -- name -- ) ☢ English Bad Food
Let's just say that it's not the best thing to eat. It's not exactly good in this Asian's taste buds. Yao sometimes wonders what is appealing in such bland foods. They need some spice and real taste!
● -- a little taste of me -- ) -- The three things, can be anything. You can spend a whole paragraph talking about their love of tea, what they think of their peers, something about their personality, their fears, intense loves, whatever.
● -- name -- ) part 一
Despite his light build, China is skilled in the martial arts. He has quick reflexes and speed to make up for his average strength. When he's not "defending" himself in others, Yao can be found using the speed in cooking. His most used "weapons" are usually kitchen utensils.
● -- name -- ) part 二
Cooking
● -- name -- ) part 三
Big Brother
● -- relationships -- ) --
● -- name -- ) Im Yong Soo
His "slightly" annoying Korean cousin. Yao is aware of Im Yong Soon's intentions of impressing his older cousin. That is the only reason that keeps him from ignoring and quickly kicking the Korean out of his house. Although he does get annoyed with Im Yong Soo claiming every idea he likes, including his own as Yonsu's own, Yao doesn't mind being looked up to...until he finds hands upon his chest. Yao has observed that Yonsu has some ups and downs. He doesn't mind spending time with the Korean as long as something isn't stolen, taken, or touched.

● -- quirks and habits -- ) --
╶ No one knows why, but it is very common to hear him add "--aru" at the end of his sentances.
╶ He's given up on nagging, but he hasn't given up on being the open big brother.
╶ He's a bit nosy at times though.
