{ MEI "TENTEN" JING } Lost Her Home LOSTHERNAMELOSTHERNAMELOSTHERNAMELOST I couldn't tell you w h y she felt that way She felt it e v e r y d a y. and I couldn't help her. I just watched her make the same m i s t a k e s again. With no place to go, no place to go to d r y her eyes Open your eyes and look o u t s i d e, find a reasons why. You've been rejected, and now you can't find what you left behind. Be s t r o n g, be strong now. Too many, too many problems. Don't know where she belongs, where she b e l o n g s. LOSTHERNAMELOSTHERNAMELOSTHERNAMELOST ![]() Dead silence greeted the young singer’s ears, and although no sound had elapsed from the passengers or drivers, She felt as if her ears had completely shut off, at times a ringing occurred in her ear, often having her desire to rid herself of the bother by slapping the side of her head as if removing water from her ears. Perhaps it was the water from her shower previously that was causing such troubles for her. her body was tense as she sat up straight with her shoulders fixed in a pulled back position. It was deafening silence and she preferred for some type of noise. With an escape of cold air quickly escaping her glossed lips she relaxed her body and sunk into the leather seats of the hyuga’s car. Turning her head to the left so that the outside soundings could entertain her bored eyes. she never felt committable when no sounds were at play. It was ear deafen, yet at the same time she heard the sound of the engine. Cars were something new to the brunette as soon as she reached this patch of land they call the states. Her world was turned as soon as her foot had left the sweet and delicate soil of Japan. The beautiful mountains were traded for glass windows and buildings that seemed to scratch the sky with steal, fresh water rivers for tar infected streets, and the beautiful language of Japanese to well, English. For such a free land there was surly a load of restrictions, surly the reason most people left there homelands was to start a new and successful life, though it rarely happened, there was almost nothing the same with her past homes and her current homes except one thing. the people. First impressions was everything in this country, one wrong word and your body would be found in the near by marina with a few bullet holes and a black eye, or what’s left of one. It was good to have money in this country; some tenten had no longer any of. She was living off of the hyuga’s for some time now, and was accustom to the feeling of paying them off. She was just like any other person, or at least any other working person. In exchange for her place in the rich family’s life she was requested to use her talents to attract customers, a deal which only seemed fair. A sigh escaped the bun haired women as she returned her gaze to the back of the passenger side headrest. She gave it a blank look as if waiting for it to move or talk, she never was fond of car rides, or any ride for that matter, or at least not with the hyuga’s. They always enjoyed the ice cold silence, the kind in which it was so quite you could hear the air moving back and forth, you could hear the earth creak as it turned in rotation. It was a bit to much for her, Though it would be worth it perhaps, she had never been to an actual opera in America before and wished to see what it was like, she had seen the Cantonese opera in Hong Kong yet the male make up always seemed to grab her attention more then the opera itself, then again she was just a little girl at the time… The sound of silence broke as a sound of an impatient hyuga taping his toe’s on the base of the car quickly ran into her ear, Tenten’s eyes caught a glimpse of the man to her right, Neji hyuga. If there was a more reserved and intimidating human upon the face of the earth, then tenten had never meet him, and surly she rather not. She had lived with the hyuga’s since she was sixteen years old. And due to the sudden change in change of family, or lack of in is matter, They had conversed on a daily occurrence, and although at first she was a bit taken back and intimidated she quickly passed over. She was no longer intimidated by the man, and in fact felt comfortable in his presence. He seemed trouble then again was it strange for someone to be comfortable in an occasion such as this one. They were to attend the opening of the new opera house, in which everyone with a stack of money lodged in there pockets would be attending, And the hyuga’s were no exception. Her eyes caught another glimpse of the black suit he was wearing, simple yet classic, not to different from her own dress. A simple black gown, ripped at the end mimicking the southern continents style of festive dresses, cutting up to the mid thigh and draped down till two inches from her ankle was the only skin to show on that side. Her heels were styled as flats, lifting her feet only half an inch off the ground. Her hair was placed in its usual trademark style of two buns to each side, a quick and simple look for the girl just add some spider web like earrings that dangled down from her lobe, and you would have her casual / formal look. She wasn’t the type of person to wear standing out colors, or rare designs; she preferred to blend in with the crowed, often keeping to the natural clothing. She removed her eyes from the man next to her and concentrated more on the outside soundings, he seemed tense, or perhaps that was just a mix message he was sending to the residence with in the car. It was a last minute decision on Mr. Hiashi side to permit the hyuga’s to attend the biggest event of the month so far. She was sure that the hyuga’s attendance was for business and social reasons only, yet she had no plans on anything else rather then watching over Hinata and enjoying the opera itself. It had been a surprise to Tenten when she was given the night off to enjoy the live entertainment of the opera, normally special events were times in which employees could relax due to the lack of supervision from superiors, she had planed on playing cards and earning wages from some of the waiters and waitresses after the usual performances, yet it seemed that a back up group would be taking over Tenten’s shift, while she went to watch another performers’ act. Call it a paid mini-vacation for a day. Although it was rather strange to have someone ready to perform for the hyuga’s hotel when all eyes were upon the opera, or at least the people inside. It seemed that no one would dare miss the opera, just the fact that you could afford seats within a proper or pleasant view translated to other that you had money and then some. Though you would think that attending the opera was purely for the musical entertainment, yet she knew better, it was always for attention, flashing lights, press chanting your name, people lived for the lime light, not that tenten could say she didn’t, it was in her profession to grab others attention, yet people became rather competitive for said spot. At first she was slightly surprised to hear neji’s personal to escort her to the theater, then again, she always enjoyed neji’s company, they seemed to get along quite well even though there attitudes weren’t so similar. While Neji at times was cold and collected, tenten was more warming and friendly. He didn’t seem to be the type to care for escorting someone who wasn’t part of the family. In the beginning she wondered if his uncle had put him up to the task as to keep a watchful eye upon her to be sure she didn’t ruin the family reputation. Yet, Neji seemed a bit more relaxed when she gladly accepted his offer... ‘Finally’ she though with a tilted smile, they had arrived at the premier. The flash of the camera’s had already began to start there blinding flow towards the car, slowly began to temporarily blind the young women as she watched her escort turn to her, and anxiousness of walking down the red carpet that led to the entrance of the opera house left her as her eyes caught a glimpse of a smile upon the mans face. Perhaps her eyes were fooling her, playing a simple game, but what ever it may be she returned the smile and nodded her head to his question. As she exited the car a soft roar of camera’s shooting pictures, reporters calling out, and the sounds of the street life greeted her decorated ears. She ignored the camera’s to her best existent, trying not to become blind in the process, wrapping right arm around neji’s left and placing her right hand upon his sleeve she looked forward towards the door, in hopes that the flashes would not find there way to her eyes. She could fell Neji tense up, she wasn’t quite sure why he had became so nervous but from what she could understand the hygua’s had business here, she wasn’t quite sure for what, yet she knew that the hyuga’s work was to be taken seriously. Lifting herself up she brought her mouth near her lobe, “Relax” she whispered before lowering herself and giving him a content look with her chocolate brown eyes before returning her gaze to the direction they were walking. Whatever business the hyuga’ s had here must have been something risky for Neji to be so worked up, Something inside her told her that she should just pay attention to the opera and mind her own business, but since when had things worked out for her? Tonight was defiantly going to be interesting… |
