At one point in everyones lives, we all fall to the ground, tears soaking the pavement, our fists hitting the ground and our hearts pounding within our chests. There is a moment where we all feel as if we can no longer continue and that this road will lead us to no where and there will be no one there to help us. For some, and not all, this will be the truth and the life they have led for all of their years will be brought to a bittersweet ending, where no ones hand reaches out to guide them into the light and onto a new road, but instead a world of darkness over takes them and they are bound into the darkness forever. A world of darkness and feverish existence is known as { m a k a i }, the world of spirits, nicknamed { h e l l }.
The world of { m a k a i } is separated into three layers in a flight of spiraling staircases. The top layer is a world of bliss and happiness. The second layer is a world of confusion, where souls are required to be stuck in limbo, until they can figure out their only true desire, and the lowest floor is where all souls are recruited when first ejected known as { h e l l }. As one may believe, not all souls deserve to be in such a hateful and gritty place and that is why, one may kiss the feet of each three Gods who rule the Kingdom of Makai, to reach the places they feel they deserve to go. However, souls are not the only ones who are recruited here. For each soul that comes into the world of Makai, there is a constriction. In a humans life span, there is always one thing that is held above the rest in terms of affection, love, and desire called { o s h i i }. Oshii's are regrettable decisions, disappointing human beings, or precious items. Oshii's are the proof and significance of a souls past life and if a bond to an oshii is too strong than a { c o n t r a c t } may occur.
Years ago, in the world of Makai, the biggest contract ever known to the Shinigami below happened right before their eyes. Unable to stop it, a creation was made, something that took the souls of 50% of the population within Makai's all three levels, and bound together creating a pure shining jewel, that shone like the radiance of the sun, and before they knew it... it quickly vanished.

A pure shining jewel can have an automatic obsessing affect on anyone and everyone who looks at it, especially a jewel that supposedly is able to grant however many wishes one may need. The jewel does not judge, for it is nothing but an element that can recognize ones greatest desire in life and grant it, and who is to say what’s a rightful wish and what is a wrongful one? As humans, when we walk the Earth and are forced to grow up, we constantly think of a long hefty way to get toward our goal, but in our hearts we wish for the simplest way possible. Unable to let ourselves give up, we trudge through our luminous long roads that are easily overshadowed the darkness of evil, and finally when we reach the end of the road, we feel liberated and good about ourselves if only because we made it through our own personal hell. While we feel good about ourselves because of the fact we made it through the rain, sleet and snow, sooner than later the feeling of confidence fades and we quickly ask ourselves one question.
“What is the meaning of life?”
We all have our own personal answers to that question, and not many agree, but everyone can agree on one plain fact about life. Life is a game, called lose and gain. One person may feel so amazing, so flourished, so mature only to have one thing ripped from their grasp and automatically they’re back on the floor crying, babbling, pleading and showing their true immaturity once again. It only takes one thing… A person will lose one person, one item, one precious part of themselves, and all those steps they took forward, they might take all the way back. Loss and Gain is the game of life, and there will always only ever be one precious item, that will be able to change that, if one person in the whole entire world could allow themselves to think their actions through and continue to be careful upon what they wish for.
“Every single person in this world is selfish. No doubt about it.”
It’s true that we’re all selfish, we can’t stop ourselves from having needs, and wants and desires and now we don’t have too. With a sacred crystal in everyone’s grasp, the world will become a better place, except for the fact that there just so happens to be only one, and it is in the grasp of a small, dainty and filled with pure youth, little girl.
