::[♥]:: _________ Loving You Makes Me Feel
- If you smile at me, I just might melt
Your face is as sweet as a lake of honey
If you touched me, I might just go crazy
Your skin is as soft as blanket of silk
If you gave me a kiss, I just might cry
Your lips are like a fountain of wordless promises
If you give me your heart, I just might be the luckiest man in the world
Your innocence and purity taste like your everlasting love

“In the darkness, we glow under the stars. In the light, we fade into the soft abyss.” Dante told himself. His jaded blue eyes stared down at the reflection below. This was a thought that lingered in his head for quite some time now. He didn’t know where it came from or if he even thought of it himself. Perhaps it was the voice Rosalind had been talking about so much. Dante shook his head. Maybe I’m just imagining things, he thought to himself. Recently Rosalind has been getting more and more restless. He kept talking about that voice in his head and wandered around aimlessly. Almost all the time, Rosalind would stop in front of the wall.
No one knows what’s behind the wall, nor does anyone worry about it. Only few make note of its existence. The only reason why it’s there was to cage the Paragons inside. That was what Dante thought of it. The wall signified that they weren’t in control. It signified that they weren’t the only ones in the Garden of Psalms. It signified that there was something watching over them, something more powerful than they were. Maybe what ever was over that wall was the thing that controlled Rosalind’s thoughts and actions. Dante worried for the little Paragon. Of course he had to. He felt for Rosalind.
There were no words to explain this emotion. Whether it was love, passion, lust, or infatuation, Dante did not care. All he needed to know was that was how he felt. When Rosalind came by, Dante’s heart would skip a beat and his body would warm up. He didn’t know why this would happen and he’d usually wonder why at times. But with other favorite Paragon, Marlin, Dante would usually be his old self. Even though he liked them both, Dante’s heart would always be with sweet Rosalind. But no matter how many times he told the little Paragon, Rosalind would always be paranoid about Marlin and a few others. Dante smiled, “Feels nice to be loved.”
Dante squatted down at the edge of the lake. Besides the beautiful sight of the Paragons around him, the lake was the best feature of the Garden of Psalms was the Eternal Lake. It wasn’t its official named, but that was what Dante called it. The Eternal Lake was a peaceful place to think, a fun place to play, or a quiet place to chat. Dante picked up a flat stone and stood up. He flicked the stone out of his hand and watched it skip across the lake’s surface. Skipping stones was something he did when he was bored. “One… two… three…,” Dante counted, “…four… five… six… seven.” It wasn’t his best, but it was still something. He rubbed the back of his neck and stared down at his bare feet. In the darkness we glow, In the light we fade Dante thought again. He shook his head and kicked another stone into the lake. The ripples distorted his reflection, but soon enough it returned to normal.
Dante always wondered why he looked the way he looked. He sat on the short grass, holding his legs against his chest, and stared at his reflection. It started at him back. Dante had long, light, blonde hair tied in a low pony. His light blue eyes were his best quality. It was most because they were one of a kind. Dante had a lean build and stood a towering six feet and three. He was one of the most attractive Paragons in the Garden of Psalms, just like Marlin. Even so, Rosalind was the most beautiful in Dante’s eyes. He sat in nothing more than his underpants. About an hour ago, Marlin and Yuri had come to visit him. Little did he know, they ambushed Dante and splashed him silly. His clothes hung on a low branch of a tree nearby with Yuri’s. Dante requested Marlin to go look for Rosalind and ask him to come back. It was not a good thing to leave the little Paragon waking around alone.
Dante dragged himself closer and placed his legs into the cool water. Suddenly a dark pool began to form in the waters. For a while, Dante wondered what it was until it got bigger and bigger. A set of small, delicate hands penetrated through the surface and placed themselves onto Dante’s knees. The cold sensations sent shivers up his spine. A small figure emerged from the Lake. It was the little water-loving Paragon, Yuri. He had long, smooth light copper hair and dark brown pupil-less eyes. These were one of the most amazing features Yuri had. Even though he had no pupils, he could still see as clear as the others. Yuri stood a short five feet and one inch. He was one of the shortest and weakest Paragons, but he didn’t mind it. In fact, Yuri liked the way he was. Standing next to Dante made him feel protected. Yuri liked that feeling. Yuri pulled himself out of the lake and stood in front of Dante. He leaned down and tilted his head at the older Paragon, “Hello Dante. Are you all right?” Yuri’s voice was soft and robotic-like. He said every syllable separately and in a ridged tone. It was Yuri’s main turn-off. His soft hair caressed Dante’s face.
“Yes, I’m okay,” Dante replied and looked away, making sure he didn’t look at the Paragon too much.
Yuri shifted his position and sat down next to Dante. “You do not look all right,” he said, “Are you worried about Rosalind or is something else on your mind?”
“A little of both. Mostly about Rosalind though. He’s been acting strange lately.”
“You sound like a worried mother.” Yuri smiled. This was how they both were. Dante treated Yuri like a mature adult. They’d sit around at the Eternal Lake and talk about what ever was on their minds. It was a way for both of them to bond. Even so, Yuri has only thought of Dante as a father figure or an older brother. No more, no less.
“Of course I am. He’s someone I care about.”
“Like a girlfriend or boyfriend?”
“What’s a boy or girl?” Dante asked with slight confusion. He had never heard of those words nor does he know the meaning.
Yuri lightly shrugged, “I am not sure. I heard Rosalind say it one day. He is always making up words like that. He claims it is the voice inside his head.”
“That’s not something you can shrug off ya know. It’s important to listen to what Rosalind says. Anyways, are you familiar with his phrase: “In the darkness, we glow under the stars. In the light, we fade into the soft abyss”? It’s been in my head for a long time and I need to know where it cam from and what it means.”
“You must be spending a lot of time with Rosalind. You believe in this voice too? It s quite unreal, do you not think so?” Yuri said.
“Don’t say that. Rosalind is important to me. Anyways, where’s Marlin? I sent her to find Rosalind an hour ago. Is it that hard to find him?” Dante said in frustration and worry.
“If you wish to find Rosalind and bring him back safely, you should have done it yourself. Sometimes it is best to put things into your own hands. Let’s go find the two, Dante.” Yuri clumsily pushed himself off the ground. He held out a hand to Dante. The older Paragon rejected the offer because Yuri’s dainty body could never pull up such a heavy mass of body.
Once the both fully clothed themselves, Dante and Yuri went on their search of Rosalind and Marlin. They both knew where the two were. Since Rosalind was usually found at the wall, it would only make sense that they went there. It was still a longs way to go, but Dante and Yuri were willing to make the trip.

- The sounds of footsteps filled the night air. Seth Adair Hendrix sat under the soft illumination of the street lamp with his back against the pole. He blasted the volume on his studio headphones so that people 50 feet way could hear it. He loved music that could break the sound barrier. It allowed him to drone out his surroundings so he could concentrate on more important matters. Seth placed the cigarette against his lips and took a puff. The wispy smoke escaped from his lips and danced in the air as it slowly faded away into oblivion. Today there was a huge party hosted by the three blonde beauties of the museum. Just about everyone was invited to have fun at the opening of a new house. Seth, however, declined the invitation. He was never one for big social gatherings, especially ones that involved the whole museum.
Kata Cordell Enos walked up to Seth and waved at the older doll. His bright sliver eyes looked down at Seth’s usual half lidded eyes. The doll slowly got to his feet and searched his surroundings. If Kata was here, Zero and Vyres were bound to be nearby. Those two dolls were known for playing pranks and causing trouble for others. Because of this, they were specifically told not to be invited. But a party this big could not be a kept secret. All the gossip and talk must have gotten to Vyres and Zero. Seth removed his headphones and allowed them to rest on his shoulder. He took another puff of his cigarette and looked at Kata, “Where are the others?”
“You mean Vyres and Zero? They said they forgot some stuff at home so they had to go back and get it,” The small doll smiled, “I didn’t know you like to smoke Seth.”
“I don’t,” Seth said bluntly. It was true. He was not much a fan of smoking or drinking alcohol, but his creator had done it. Now Seth was stuck with this bad habit. He hated it and sadly there was no way to quit without doing some harm to his spirit. Seth took another puff of cigarette and looked into the artificial black sky. “You shouldn’t hang out with those two. They aren’t what you call “good” friends. Zero and Vyres are better off not having any, anyways. You should not waste your life with trash like them.”
Kata pouted and gave Seth and angry glare, “Don’t say that. Zero and Vyres are really nice when they want to be. Geez Seth, when you’re mean, you’re really mean. Are you in a bad mood or something?”
“Sorry. I’m just worried about you that is all,” Seth said in monotone. Just over the horizon, the troublesome duo came into view. Vyres smirked as he approached Kata and Seth. Zero, however, was not so pleased. Seth turned to the two dolls with a frown, “What’s a lowly street rat like you doing here?”
“I could ask you the same, runt,” Vyres shot back quickly. Seth and Vyres were one of the worst rivals at the museum. Throw them in a ring and they would fight each other like rottweilers in a dog match. They hated each other because of their talents in the arts. Seth and Vyres were both known as the best artist in the museum. Even the so called “street rat” could have surpassed Seth abilities. The only problem was that Vyres was unpleasant to work with. He was very picky about his models and strict with his words. “I have no time to talk to trash like you. Leave before I pile drive you into the ground and break open that pretty little skull of yours,” Seth hissed.
“Not after you, you lecherous c**k sucking b***h,” Vyres crossed his arm and smirked.
“Like I’ll accept such an invitation from an untalented immature asswipe like you.”
“That’s odd that you declined such an offer. I often see you whoring around with all these pathetic little sluts.”
“At least I have the guts to ******** a woman, unlike you, who would rather run away in fear.”
Vyres raised his brows, “Touché.”
“I am not amused by your playful banter Vyres,“ Zero interrupted the two. Clearly, he was beginning to sick of their name calling. It was pointless and they were getting absolutely nowhere with this. “We have no time to waste our breath on the likes of him. We have other things that need to be taken care of. Come along Kata.”
“Time to crash the party.” Kata grinned gingerly. Although it was rather ironic that he would crash the party, considering he was invited in the first place. Kata ran ahead of the troublesome duo and headed to the mansion up ahead. Zero, who was standing right behind Vyres, did not budge from his place. He closely watched Seth and Vyres to make sure this wouldn’t turn out to be a street brawl. The two often brought out the worst of each other and Zero was always there to clean up the mess. The ancient doll did not want to spend his time trying to scrub off blood from the pavement like the previous fight a few months ago.
Speaking of violence and fight, Harris began to come around the corner. She was known to have a short fuse and often caused riots in the museum. Harris’s expression of anger and hatred signaled that she had just gotten into a fight with another doll. Being the tallest and the biggest doll of the girls, it was most likely that she have won. Although it seemed that Harris still wanted to pound the guts out of whomever she was fighting with.
Vyres walked up to Seth until they came face to face. Even though he was taller and more menacing, Seth did not seem to be bothered by this. The taller doll slightly bent down and softly whispered into Seth’s ear, “You left this in my studio. I’m sure you wouldn’t want it anymore, but I felt nice today and brought to you so you can make the choice to throw this damned thing away.” Vyres took Seth’s hand and drop a dog tag with a sliver chain attached to it. “By the way, make sure you watch the show tonight. This party is going to go off with a big bang, literally. Make sure that you face doesn’t get messed up. It’ll be a shame to work with such an ugly model.” Vyres smirked and walk ahead, bumping shoulders with Seth in the process.
Zero stood still until Vyres was well far off. “You sure are an interesting character Seth. You hate him, yet you still cooperate with him.” The ancient doll said.
“Vyres has an outstanding talent. I’m only modeling for him so that I can see his technique and skill. That’s all to it.” Seth said.
“I wish you good luck. Vyres is a very complicated man and likes to keep secrets to himself. If you want to know more about him, then you should engage him more often. And I’m not talking about a nice civil conversation either.” Those were Zero’s last words as he passed Seth and caught up with Vyres and Kata. Now it was time to deal with Harris. Seth had been on her good side for quite a while, but today might be different, “Yo. What happened Harris? It looked as if all hell broke loose on you.”

WITH THESE BROKEN WINGS I FALL ...

A soft song played in the background as his eyes fluttered open. The sun crept up from the horizon and spread its light upon the world. Dimitri softly groaned and turned to his side, away from the windows. He was never much of a morning person especially after a wild night of partying. A cold breeze began to enter from the opened balcony door. It was almost winter. In small town of Eclipse, named after the founder, was cold during this time. At certain points, even snow would fall from the sky and cover this little village in a white blanket. Other than that, Eclipse usually had cool summers and rainy springs. It laid on the border right in between two major countries. Because of this Eclipse was the center of all trade. It even had its own port south of the iron gates that protected the village. At night wild animals would get into the markets and steal from the villagers as they slept. Those who were vicious enough would attack them. Of course these gates were only closed at night and open in the morning. Eclipse was still rather small in size, but it is still wealthy. Merchants from all over the world would come to trade, sell, and buy supplies. This small village was pretty unique. It was the only place where vampires and humans got along. It was mostly because of a law set in Eclipse. Vampires were not allowed to feed on the humans and the humans could not kill the vampires. Anyone who broke this law was banished from the village and sent into the forest to fend for themselves. It was this very law that brought peace to Eclipse.
Dimitri placed his arm over an empty proportion of the bed and closed his eyes. He breathed in through his nose to take in the scent of his older brother that still lingered around the bed. It was the sweet scent of vanilla. Dimitri rubbed his check against his pillow and smile. Last night his family held a party for his little sister’s birthday, her eighteenth birthday to be exact. Because she was born and not made, his sister was able to grow and develop just like a human child, but the process took much longer. In the end, Dimitri and his older brother got drunk and went barebacking with each other. It was a wild night of pleasure and pain. It was no lie that Dimitri loved his brothers to the point of having sexual intercourse with them. Most people would look down at him for this, but he didn’t mind. As long as he wasn’t lonely at night, he would be all right. Dimitri opened his eyes to find a cross necklace by his side. He took the necklace and turned onto his back. He held the necklace into the air and stared at it. Christianity was the religion that was worshiped by his family. But it was ironic that they could do such a thing while they sinned everyday and asked for no forgiveness in the end. The Zeckovic was a family full of bitches and whores. Man or woman, vampire or human, Dimitri would ******** them all as long as he wasn’t lonely. I’m pathetic. He thought solemnly to himself.
A soft knock fell upon his ears. The door slowly creaked open to reveal a youth wearing old tattered clothing. His bright green eyes scanned the room until his eyes met up with Dimitri. “Good morning Master. You have two guests downstairs waiting for you. It’s Jonathan and Robert.” Locke said, his voice lacking any emotion like a robot. He was an unusual being and the only one of his kind. Locke was a scarecrow brought to life by an old witch. He became her servant and tended to her every need. It was only a decade ago when she died and let Locke free. Only after three days, he crossed paths with Dimitri. The vampire took Locke in and made him a servant. After tens years, Locke became Dimitri’s personal servant and is the only one entrusted with the vampire’s deepest and darkest secret. It was probably the riskiest thing Dimitri has ever done. After all, he didn’t know what Locke was capable of. In fact, he knew close to nothing about the scarecrow. But Locke always seemed to keep to himself a lot. He rarely speaks among others and often blends into the background. This was enough for Dimitri to trust Locke. The vampire yawned as he sat up on the bed and stretched his arms and back. Locke went over to the open balcony door and closed them, “Master, you shouldn’t sleep with the doors open like this. What happens if you catch a cold?”
“I haven’t caught a cold in a thousand years. Stop worrying about me.” Dimitri said rather annoyed. He wasn't in a good mood this morning. It mostly because a persistent headache he had been getting for the past week. His sisters and maids often nagged him to see a doctor about it, but Dimitri always refused to go. He was horrified at the though of going to the local hospital. Dimitri was afraid of what the doctors were going to do with him. One time his sister told him that it might be sign something bad was going to happen. Dimitri rubbed his temples and sighed. The only probable reason Dimitri could think of for the headache was a rumor spreading in the village. The rumor was that a bounty hunter and his companion were coming for Dimitri’s head. Rumors like these never bothered the vampire because they all turned out to be untrue. But this time is was much different. What happens if there really was someone coming after him? Was this what this headache trying to tell him? Dimitri shook his head and sighed. “It seems that you’re not feeling well Master. Would you like me to tell them to leave and come back a little later on?” Locke asked.“No, it’s quite all right. Tell them that I’ll be down in a bit. Also, please tell a maid of come and clean up these sheets.” Dimitri said as he got up from his bed. Locke nodded and left the room to go downstairs to inform the other two. Dimitri looked through his dresser for some decent clothing and placed them aside. He went into the bathroom and turned on the shower handle. Soon, a rain of hot water fell onto his pale skin. Dimitri only took a quick rinse because Robert and Jonathan were waiting for them. He smiled and remembered the times they had with each other. The three had been friends ever since they were quite young, childhood friends was what you could call them. They were quite the rascals, cause mischief wherever they went. Dimitri still couldn’t believe how much they grew over time. Dimitri has lost his child-like innocence and looks. The same went for both Jonathan and Robert also. Their bodies might have grown and their knowledge might have expanded, but they still acted like children.
Dimitri finished his quick shower and dried himself off. He ran his fingers through his dark brown hair and stared into the mirror. There was nothing staring back at him. All vampires had no reflections since they were all dead. Dimitri always wondered will he bothered to keep the mirror in the bathroom. In fact he wondered why there were any mirrors in the castle at all. His mother told him that the mirrors were only there for decoration. Dimitri washed his face and went back into his room. He placed on a white collar shirt and some black slacks. He unbuttoned the first three buttons so that his collarbone was visible. To finish it all, Dimitri slipped on a golden ring on his finger and left the room. He slowly made his way downstairs. There he found Locke, Jonathan, and Robert waiting for him. The first thing Dimitri noticed was the smiled on Robert’s face. He mentally laughed to himself and Locke, who was standing by Robert’s side, quickly ran over to Dimitri’s side. They both bowed to the two guests and Dimitri smiled, “Good morning to you all. What brings you two fine gentlemen here today?”

A butterfly sat on a dead carcass, sipping up dried blood. It was just another meal for the insect. Nearby there was a campsite and a burning campfire. Celeb, a middle-aged man, emerged from the bushes carrying a pot of fresh water. His long auburn hair was in a tangled mess and his beard was braided. From far away he might have looked like a dwarf. Celeb was not a tall man, but he wasn’t very short either. He clothes were mostly torn and tattered. He could have easily been mistaken as a homeless man, but he was much more than that. Caleb was once a very powerful person, but now he is nothing more than a shadow of who he use to be. He placed his pot over the fire and sat down eagerly. Finished with its meal, the butterfly flew from the corpse and fluttered in the air. It landed on Celebs shoulder and rested its wings. The man chuckled and smiled, “So the Elder’s son has came to grace me with his appearance.”
The butterfly flapped its wings and flew into the high braches of a tree. After a few seconds a young boy fell onto a lower branch. He smiled gleefully and took a seat on his branch, “The mute swan remembers the madrilenial butterfly. The madrilenial butterfly is very happy.”
“I may be an old man, but my memory isn’t that bad, is it? I see you’re still talking like that. What have you come to ask me this time child?” Caleb said.
“The madrilenial butterfly wants to know if what the lionfish said is true. Are Sea Serpents and Moon Painters friends now?”
“I wouldn’t say they’re friends, but it’s just a rumor. None of us are completely sure if the Moon Painters are planning an alliance with the Sea Serpents. Even if they do, their bitterness will not end with such a simple thing. ”
“Why would they do that? The madrilenial butterfly does not understand. Sea Serpents and Moon Painters fought right?”
“Yes, but they decided to try patch things together. They say it’s supposed to be beneficial, but I highly doubt that. You know with these things. Perhaps it won’t work out and they’ll have another war. If things do work out, there’s a possible invasion on the Flesh Tongues, then us. Of course there is another possibility that they will try to have an alliance with our nation and the Flesh Tongues. So tell me Kaelin, does your mom know you’re here? You know how she feels when you’re around me. She isn’t a very trusting person.” Caleb mumbled bitterly.
“The mute swan talks of sorrowful outcomes. Is the mute swan still angered with the councilman of the Moon Painters? The masked owl is a very wise woman you know. She knows almost everything.”
“If she was a young man, instead of an old lady I would have punched her in the jaw. How dare she say those things to me! Oh, and are you ignoring what I just said about your mom?”
“Mother Gypsy Moth is... unwell.”

______- “They need a blacksmith and you’re one of the best I got. That’s why I’m sending you down to the mortals Caleb. They need you.”
The soft sunrise crept between the blinds and illuminated the small room. There were two figures in bed sleeping peacefully in the dim light. A black cat crept into the room. Her yellow eyes searched around for her owner. She hopped onto the nightstand and then onto the bed. She crawled under the covers between the two bodies and curled into a ball. It was the warmth that she loved, the warmth that she was deprived of her whole life. The cat the resumed to move under the cover and poked her little head out. She climbed onto her owner’s chest and pawed at his face. She lightly meowed and licked his cheek.
Caleb stirred under the heavy air. He furrowed his brow and slowly opened his eyes. Sitting on his chest was his black cat, Rascal. He adopted her from an animal shelter. He remembered the first time they met. She was pressed against the corner, scared and hurt from years of abuse and cold. Caleb didn’t want to abandon her. She felt special for some reason. It took some months for Rascal to warm up to him, but once she did, they were inseparable. Rascal would follow him everywhere he went, except to the school, where he taught sculpture.
“Morin’ Rascal,” Caleb smiled and rubbed her cute little head as she purred under his touch. He propped himself up on his elbows and Rascal jumped off and laid in between the bodies. He looked around to find that the room was a total mess. He hadn’t cleaned it for weeks, maybe even for a month. He found his wheelchair next to his nightstand, as always. If it were any farther, Caleb wouldn’t be able to get out of bed. He looked at his alarm clock. It read “6:00 AM”. Rascal was on time like usual. Caleb had no need for annoying alarms anymore. She always woke him up just time. He looked across the bed and found Madison resting there, facing the window.
Madison had a beautiful, elegant body with pale skin. He had long blond hair and bright green eyes. There were light freckles on his face and his back. He was beautiful and sweet. Caleb felt like the luckiest man in the world. He was a little glad Zeus had sent him down with the mortals, or else he wouldn’t have such a nice life with Madison and Rascal. Then again, his father, Hephaestus, was growing weary. His bones were growing old and weak. Caleb would worry if he pushed himself too hard. He began to wonder what his father was doing now. He shook his head and sat up on the bed. Madison began to stir under the blanket. Caleb smiled and lay back down. He held the boy in his arms and kissed his shoulder. Madison turned his head and smiled with eyes barely open. “Good morning Caleb,” he said in a soft voice, almost like a whisper.
Rascal meowed and hopped in front of Madison. She almost looked hurt. He giggled and patted her head, “Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten you. Good morning Rascal.”
Caleb began getting out of bed. He leaned out and reached for his wheel chair. He pulled it in closer and stood up shakily. Caleb placed his hand on the nightstand for support and slowly maneuvered himself onto the wheelchair. He was born lame, just like his father. It was a disadvantage because the gods and demigods saw him as an ugly creature, a menace to society. He was imperfect in appearance, but Caleb didn’t mind. As long as he was useful, he was all right. He wheeled himself through the door. Madison sat up and smiled angelically, “Do you need help?”
Caleb shook his head and looked back, “No, I’ll be okay. You can go back to sleep. I’ll be home by five, so we can go out later.” He rolled into the kitchen and raided the fridge. He took out some frozen waffles and put it into the toaster. Rascal followed in and jumped onto the table. Caleb poured some cat food into a dish and placed it in front of the cat. He finished his breakfast and dressed for work. He took a loose shirt and a pair of jeans. Caleb usually didn’t bother with shoes, but it was school rules. He slipped them on and made a final check on his outfit. He tugged on his shirt a few times to make sure it fell in the right place. If he did it correctly, no one would be able to see his stone wings. Being a demigod had its drawbacks. Madison knew he was a demigod, even though he wasn’t suppose to.
It was a rule made by Zeus, but sometimes rules are meant to be broken. Its not like Madison’s memory can’t be erased. If the relationship doesn’t work out, he can always ask the gods to erase the memories and replace them with something else. Caleb began out the door and Rascal meowed. She jumped into his lap and pawed his chest. “Now, now. You know I can’t take you to work. You’ll you get removed form campus and get sent back to the shelter. You don’t want than and I don’t want it either. I’ll be home Rascal, I promise. Take care of Maddie for me, okay? Make sure he doesn’t go breaking things or hurting himself. He’s too clumsy sometimes.” Caleb lifted Rascal and put her back down onto the hardwood floor.
He left the house and headed to the bus stop. It arrived no later than 6:30 and he got on. The bus ride was thirty minutes long; Caleb lived a little far from the school. If he could work somewhere else, he would, but Zeus requested that he stay there. Conveniently, Admes attended that school. He was the son of war and love and was controller of fire. Caleb would need him if he were to forage weapons and jewels. The demigod could create fires hot enough to melt metals and crystals. Caleb arrived at his stop and rolled onto the school campus. There were students clamoring everywhere outside. Some girls in the corner were talking about the latest trends and some boys were talking about the football game last night. The home team won, so many of the boys were out and about last night, having parties and getting tender with the girls.
Caleb entered the halls and some students greeted him. Most were from his sculpture class. It was the only subject he could teach and he was good at it too. He noticed students beginning to stop in the halls, watching a disturbance. There was a girl and a couple of jocks near the lockers. It was Fen causing trouble again, no doubt about it. She could tear their heads off if she wanted to, but that would cause a ruckus. Admes came close with a fierce look in his eyes. He was defending her. Admes was a threat even without his powers, he a child of war after all. He wouldn’t back down from a challenge; it was his nature to fight. Caleb worried and moved towards the demigods and the mortals. “What’s going on?” he asked in a strict tone. The jocks looked at him and wobbled around.
“N-nothing Mr. Redding. N-nothing at all,” one of the boys said nervously, his breath reeked of alcohol. He remembered this boy. He threw him across the football field once for defying his orders; luckily no one was there to witness the event, so no one believed him. Caleb had a short temper. “If nothing’s wrong, then get to class. I don’t want you to be tardy and receive detention on a Friday," Caleb looked at Fen and Admes, “You two should get to class also, or else I’ll have to report it to the higher-ups.”
They knew who he was talking about, the gods of course. At the end of every week, the demigods were to submit reports, it was annoying, but it had to be done.
