Eurydice wasn't very happy with herself. She hadn't been able to talk the hunter, Michael he was going by, into allowing her to heal him. She had, however, kept her word, as she always did, and didn't heal him without his consent. Humans were tricky, especially hunters. She had made it abundantly clear, though, that she caused no harm and meant no harm. To anyone. She was what people spitefully called a fence sitter. Eurydice preferred to think of it as knowing everything she could of a situation before immersing herself into it. Generally the intelligent thing to do.

She gave a wave of her hand down the front of her so that her dress changed to a nightgown, then lowered her blindfold so that it rested around her neck like a scarf. Eirian, the Gemini, had always told her that her eyes counted as jewelry. She supposed it was doubly so now that they didn't work for their intended function anymore. When she opened them, nothing changed. Her world was just as black as it was with the blindfold on. Eirian had been right, though, about her eyes. Different hues of lavenders, roses, and sky blues melded together in a hypnotic way. No longer interrupted by the presence of the sudden blackness of a pupil, her irises were like vibrant, colorful galaxies. Her hair framed her delicate face like liquid sunlight. She knew how beautiful she actually was, and it occasionally, even now, years later, pained her not to be able to so much as see herself in a mirror.

The decision to have the other two air signs carve her pupils from her irises had been a sound, reasonable one, though, as all of Eurydice's decisions were. The stars were at war, and at the time, Eurydice had been the only one capable of keeping her head on straight. Unfortunately, too many of the other constellations had come to her with their evidence of their goddess's murder, and so much of it had been fabricated that Eurydice could hardly stand it. She had Aquarius and Gemini carve up her eyes so that she could judge in the most unbiased manner possible. She didn't regret her decision.

Feeling her way around the room with shaking hands, because she didn't know what might jump out and bite her, she found her way to the bed. Her fingers sought out the edge of the sheets, happy to find that the bed was made in a way that they were already turned down and welcoming whatever guest would occupy them. She slid into the bed, shutting her eyes, and soon, the stars floated up from her, twinkling and shining. Eurydice's spirit took its place in the night sky.

Cailyn had to make two trips to her car out on the main road to retrieve her suitcases. She had four, after all, and then the tote bag that had her girly necessities. She'd planned to be on her way to film a movie, after all, and those things took time. One suitcase was not going to cut it on the amount of clothes and other things she needed to keep herself stable while so far from home. When she'd settled into her room, she'd called for a tow truck to come pick up her piece of junk, then rolled a blunt and smoked while she called her mom. Her mom had been dying to hear from her. She hadn't heard from her since she'd left the last hotel that morning. It was hell trying to get her mom off the phone so she could call her director. She should have called him first. Luckily, they didn't start filming for a month. Cailyn had done the smart thing and left Los Angeles early so that she could get settled into where she'd be staying while working on the movie.

When she finally had all of her calls sorted out, she managed to smoke her blunt in peace. As she smoked, she thought about the only other human in the joint. His name obviously wasn't Michael, that much was obvious. She had a funny feeling he'd never been to Ohio either, or if he had, it wasn't to live there. Either way, it wasn't really any of her business. It wasn't like she knew him, after all. After finishing her blunt, taking a shower, and getting on some pj pants and a tank top, she went to bed.

                                              -------The Next Morning-------

When Cailyn got up the next morning, she almost thought all of the strangeness that had happened the previous evening had been a dream. Almost. The fact that she was in the room she'd been given was her first clue that it wasn't. She sat up in bed and slipped her glasses back onto her face. She couldn't be bothered to get out of bed straight away, and grabbed her phone off the nightstand from next to where her glasses had been and her gun still laid. Twitter post about staying at a cute little bed and breakfast in some town she picked at random off google maps. She didn't name the bed and breakfast. Same post to facebook, instagram, and gods only knew what else she had an account for thanks to her PR. All with a picture of her leaned against the headboard of her bed after lazily raking her fingers through her thick red hair.

When she was done with her phone and checking in with the world so Ma wouldn't send out a search party, she finally peeled herself out of the comfortable bed and went through the process of dressing, brushing her teeth, and doing her hair. She wore a teal dress today, and because of a dress, a thigh holster for her Glock 30S. After giving herself a once over to make sure she was presentable, she left her room, heading down the hall, her hair bouncing in as airy a way as it ever did as the heels of her nude colored pumps clicked against the floor beneath her.

Eurydice opened her eyes. The world was as black as ever for her, of course. She sat up in her bed, and a hairbrush materialized in her hand. She took the time to make sure her hair was brushed properly before she lifted her blindfold back over her eyes. A wave of her hand, and she wore her dress and shoes again. Her fingers nimbly untangled her necklace and tucked it under the bodice of the dress.

Resting a hand on the nightstand, she got out of bed. That hand followed the edge of the nightstand as the other held itself out a little ways away from her body to feel for whatever might be ahead of her. She didn't pick her feet up, but slid them, until she found where she'd left her staff leaned against the wall by the door of the room. She left the room, holding her staff in the walking stick fashion she seemed to prefer, keeping the end towards the floor ahead of her by only a couple of feet. As she walked down the hall, sweeping the end of the staff side to side along the floor at a reasonable pace, she could hear others coming to life in their rooms, going through whatever their morning routines were. Her staff thankfully found the stairs before she did, and she took them at a slow, patient pace.

Normally anyone else would have probably been hungry and gone to have breakfast, but Eurydice wasn't hungry. She never was whenever she first came awake. She did, however, always meditate first thing every morning. She found her way outside, a small smile gracing her lips when she felt the morning light on her face. She could smell the flowers, and the grass, vibrant and rich, as she walked away from the inn. She could smell fresh water, too. She'd neared the lake, but knew that it was further than it smelled. Finding a spot in the grass, she sat down, laying her staff across her lap.
