( ) : ⇣ Rodrik 'Rikky' Dupree

As Rodrik waited for his beloved to reply to his question he mused over the idea of how his coven would react in seeing their Second twirl a were around in the foyer. They would probably be pretty gloomy, which was just sad for him because that was all he wanted to do even though the were before him stood nearly his height. Maybe once he got his coven use to scenting his beloved around the home they would warm up to the idea of having another supernatural being in the household besides vampires. It was about time they made a change anyway, get out of this rut of being weary of the other creatures due to their past of violence toward one another. Hell he had been in the silent battles personally and he had less prejudice then others that had not even took par in them. It confused the s**t out of him but some people just didn't have enough sense in their thick skulls to get around what had been drilled into them. Like homophobic humans who attacked their fellow humans for having an attraction toward their same gender then the other gender like was seen as the proper pairing of people in the world. It was all due to what had been drilled into them since their youth; some just couldn't be fixed either which was bothersome for those that wanted to change.

It took a moment for Rikky to stop staring at his beautifully handsome beloved as he held out a book before him. Using his free hand he reached out and grabbed the aged book. He looked from his beloved to the page that spoke of the great legend of the Dark Wolf. The fact this man before him wanted to find the creature made either his beloved a brave man or a insane fool... or maybe he was a mix of both? Whatever was the cause for his beloved to seek out this rumored massive, and extremely deadly were seemed to be what brought his were to him. At least he could thank the legendary wolf for bringing him his heart to him even if the creature wasn't really a real being. Closing the book gingerly as not to cause the old book to fall apart just as his beloved finally introduced himself with an adorable lopsided smirk. God this man was going to be the death of him and he only just meet the man.

"I know some about this legendary wolf. I actually believe we have a little more information on it then what this book provides." He answered as he gingerly closed the book, not wanting it to possibly become damaged if he became to rough with it. He was a man with a thing for books, he couldn't help if he wanted to make sure the previous item was handled with care.

"Well Kai, it is nice to meet you as well. I am Rodrik, but you may call me Rikky if you'd like. Come on in, I'll take you to our library and see if I can find our book that speaks more of this wolf for you since he seems so important to you." Rikky would not admit it to his beloved or any of his coven, but the fact Kai wanted to seek information firstly took a blow to his ego. He knew he shouldn't feel to hurt about it, especially since he would be the one spending time with the man and helping with this search to find the Dark Wolf. Motioning for Kai to follow him he begun walking down the hall, his eyes keeping a sharp look out for anyone who may appear to be a threat toward the were. He knew of several of his coven members who would love to sink their fangs in his beloved, and not to drink his blood, but to kill. Luckily it seemed mostly everyone was busy, he only catching sight of a few vampires and they mostly ignored his beloved's being there.

Turning to the left he begun to walk down a hall filled with framed pictures, many of families or portraits of people within the coven, both currently living and passed. The floors shined, showing the cleaners had freshly polished the fine cherry wood. Even the double doors that lead to the library gleamed, its dark wood making the bright golden knobs stick out. During one of the knobs he opened the door, leaving the door open so Kai could walk in behind him. Placing the book and his forgotten plate of food down on one of the several tables that littered the floor of the two story library.

"If you'd like you can sit or explore while I find the book for you," Rikky commented as he smiled toward Kai before heading down several corridors of book cases. The book he was looking for he knew would not be one found amongst the hundreds of books often read by people of the coven. Instead it was tucked away in a secret compartment due to some of the contents within the book holding important information that shouldn't be read by everyone. Finding the compartment he had to push away a few items before he found the leather bound book. Pulling it out he closed the compartment up and opened the book, flipping through the pages hurriedly to find the pages that spoke of the Dark Wolf. He should have been paying attention, especially while he was walking but silly Rikky had not thought he could possibly run into something. Of course, because he didn't give it a thought he managed to smack into one of the large bookcases, the suddenly force causing him to tumble backwards on his a** with a grunt. The book went flying while the vampire grumbled several curses for his stupidity. Grabbing the book back up he looked down, surprise filling him when he found the book open the the page that begun to speak about the Dark Wolf. Well damn, how about that? He would bet a billion dollars he wouldn't be able to do that again. Standing back up he brushed himself off and paid attention this time as he walked back toward the table he had left his food and Kai's book at.

"Hey, I found it," he called out, he not sure if his beloved would be at the table or wondering so thought if he said it loud enough for the were to hear.

( ) : ⇣ AARIKA ; PACK BETA
The sharp n** of the ear brought a yip from the large female who had been laying under the shade of a few trees, resting her limbs after running around and doing her job as the Beta of the pack. It had not been five minutes before her rest became interrupted and by what she would have to guess pups. Aarika's eyes opened slowly just in time to see a furry body launch at her face, landing on her muzzle with a soft thud. Letting out a growl the fae opened her mouth and tilted her head enough to give the soft body on her a soft n** in return while making sure not to use to much pressure to injure the young. The soft body fell off and the Beta pushed against he shoulder so she could lay on her belly and stare down at the young male cub who had decided to disturb her. The little one looked at her in return for a brief moment before he rolled to his back, showing his tummy to the strong wolf.

A chuckle, deeper then most females would have been left the large female as she shook her head and learned forward to give the young man a lick over his face. "No need for that little one," Aarika said as she stood to her paws and shook out her pelt. Lifting a paw she gently bopped him on the head bringing a playful growl from him before he leaped after her. Laughing joyously she trotted away a few steps before stopping to look at the pup who chased after her. It was long before she had two more after her and not wanting to dampen the young ones spirits like some may have done, she played along and acted like wounded prey.

"Oh no, they got me!" Aarika yipped as she fell to her side as one pup nipped at her hind leg. The little ones did not take long to pounce on her, the three hurrying to climb on top of their Beta's large body and n** at her thick pelt, ears and whatever else they could get. The scent of Knutte coming near drew her attention to her little hunters for a moment as her head ran along the ground till she spotted the Alpha. Her tail wagged at the sight of the male but the action quickly became a regret as one of the pups jumped on it and attacked. Letting out a light growl she lifted her upper body off the ground, knocking the other two off so she could get to the little male on her tail.

"Hey, watch it unless you want your tail nipped in return," Aarika warned and for good measure she snapped her teeth close to his tail without making contact. The little one whined and let go, only remaining affected for a moment before he went into the attack on the others. Shaking her head she stood and walked toward Knutte till she was in front of him. "Are those two-legged any closer then yesterday?" she asked, knowing those creatures were a main concern for him as well as herself and the pack.

                      Thump thump. Thump thump.

Kenai's heart pounded rapidly within the walls of his chest, the scent of the fear of the animal he chased making it beat all the faster. His paws ached from thundering across the ground at such a neck breaking speed, his old wound of his hind leg screamed for him to slow. The need for more pushed him past his breaking point, pushing past the pain his leg and in his chest as his heart tried to beat its way out. The rabbit desperately ran to keep ahead of him, ducking under fallen limbs of dying trees and into brush that still remained living in such a late fall. It was not until the critter escaped into its burrow that the brute slowed to a stop, his tongue lolling out as he panted heavily to cool himself down. It was only then that he realized how far he had run, how much distance he had put between himself and the pack den site. By the scent he would have to guess was even on the edges of their territory borders, a place he had not been near since his arrival to the Watachee pack. He observed his surroundings, taking in the trees that had few leaves trying hard to remain on the limbs even though they would sooner or later fall to the ground as winter took the next few months.

As he stood there and observed the grounds around him the wind shifted course and an unnatural scent came to him, seeping a fear he had not felt in years deep into Kenai's bones. Turning away from the hole in the ground that hid away his previous interest the black and gray wolf walked away and toward the scent. It took him over half a mile outside the pack's territory to find the source of it but as he came upon the area he froze mid-step. He took in the tree limbs that were crisped from what had to have been caused by flames. The way the wood was clustered together, rocks surrounding the cluster in a circle was the oddest formation he had ever seen and he wondered what it meant. Scanning the area further he dropped his nose to the ground and took deep breathes of the scents surrounding him. They were nothing he ever smelled before, which could only mean this could be or had been the den of the two-legged spoken of. Trotting to the pit of fire wood he pawed at the burnt limbs and ash, realizing it was lacking of any heat which meant the beings had abandoned the area a while ago. It was with that realization that got the old brute searching the area more strongly till he found an object of sorts laying on a massive log the was soaked in the beings scents. The object was also coated in the scent of the up right walkers and he snagged it up with his fangs. He needed to show this to the pack so they all would know the scent of these creatures.

Turning away from the two-legged camp Kenai broke into a full out sprint, ignoring his muscles that ached from his chase of the rabbit. He intended to head back to to pack lands but the scent of a youth from his pack caught his attention and instead he raced toward that direction. The old brute spotted the young fae Ayasha, tongue lolling out of her mouth as she sniffed the ground around her in what could easily be seen as curiosity and excitement. She was out of the boundary of the pack's territory, a place a young wolf should not be especially with the current danger. Anger coursed through the brute's body as he snarled at the young one, letting her know of his presence.

"Ayasha, what are you doing out of the safety of the territory," he snapped angrily as he stopped to stand before her, the two-legged's fabric in his mouth making his words slightly muffled as he spoke around it. "It is not safe, you are to turn your tail back around. Now." With that said Kenai stepped toward her, using his larger male frame to attempt to herd her back to the pack's territory. He did not want this young fae's blood on his paws. He would never be able to forgive himself if she got injured or worse.

The grizzled color fae snarled at her alpha as he nipped at her legs and only after several attacks did she finally take action. Her body falling back to the ground left her winded for a moment and blinking her gaze at it hazed for a moment but as it cleared she felt the a moist mouth wrap around her muzzle. The act of dominance from Knutte brought a whine from Aarika as her ears pinned backward on her head. Even with the hold so gentle she could have easily pulled away she knew the meaning behind it and remained laying in submission until he removed his mouth from her. Once she was back up on her feet the Alpha wasted no time in giving her licks of affection to ease the take down and let her know their fun was done, for now. She gave a wag of her tail and a quick lick to the brute's cheek to show she held no hard feelings for him and watched as he walked from her side toward Dusk and Selene who laid beside one another.

Hearing him speak of his intentions toward the two before looking at as he mentioned her request of him she gave him a wolf grin while she sat back on her haunches. She quirked an eyebrow at him but she gave a light bow of her head to let him know she was grateful for respecting her words. It came as no surprise to her when Aarika heard the Head Scout almost jumped at the chance to join Knutte on the investigation but knew Selene made the mightier choice to take along. The Beta watched as Dusk took his leave from the conversation once Knutte begun chastising Selene, even adding a few nudges and using his own muzzle to raise her head. Aarika's heart swelled with more love for their alpha as he spoke to her, she often still finding herself amazing by the male's heart. Giving a light shake of her head she gave a nod to her head to the brute as he begun directing his words to everyone in hearing distance, letting them know he intended to seek a meeting with the other clans that surrounded them in the terrain.

It came to no surprise that Aarika noticed a few who became restless at the mention of the coyotes as the canine species had been known to be a thorn the sides of the wolves for years. The fact that they would come to need the help not only them, but also the bears, foxes and lynxes with these troublesome two-legged did not sit well with Aarika. She did not like the feeling of having to rely on another to help her protect her pack but she if she had to suck up her feelings and deal with the help on this occasion she would do it. But she was not the only one that would have to accept the idea and she was certain she was not the only wolf of the pack that felt uneasy. Sighing faintly the Beta moved off to the side and to a tree a little ways off from the pack den and laid herself against it. Her mind worried over the plan that would go into action that night and of the future. If these two-legged pushed into their territory they would have no choice but to move the entire pack early or push back. With little to no knowledge of the creatures though their chances were slim if they stood their ground and fought for the land. Looking for help outside in other species could lead to trouble for them as well. Even if they manage as a group get the two-legged to retreat, what would stop the coyote, or bears, or even the foxes or lynxes to turn against them? They were troublesome thoughts indeed.

                      Thud. Snap. Crack.

The sounds were evident to that of a fight taking place within the depths of the forestry. A loud yowl ripped through the having silent trees, a growl soon following in example as the battling duo rushed each other once more. The lynx twisted its body in mid-leap while the wolf skidded across the dead leaves as his front paws left the ground and swept at the feline's body. The hit missed my mere millimeters but the wolf watched with glee as the feline stumbled as it landed on forest ground, a little shaken from the rough landing.

"That the best you got Monti?" the female lynx hissed in a taunting voice as she prowled forward, keeping her body tense and ready to move to avoid an attack. The male wolf, while not even a year old yet was still mighty due to his alpha bloodline stood his ground with his head held high and proud. The lynx could practically smell his pride flowing off of him, but she did not see any form of cockiness in him that had once been him upon their first meeting. The male wolf had grown from his youthful mind and had transformed into a strong wolf, one that in time would indeed make a brilliant Alpha once he aged another year or so. Seeing that the lynx seemed preoccupied in thinking Monti took the opening and rushed her, using his thick front legs to wrap around her neck and wrestle her down to the ground. Once he had the feline pinned beneath him he bracketed either side of head with his paws and lowered his head till their noses touched.

"Do not let the mind wonder Vitani. If this was a real fight you would no longer be breathing beneath me. It would sadden me if I lost you my sister," Monti chastised before giving the lynx a ginger lick to her shorter muzzle and cheek. The feline yowled at him and placed her paws on the large wolf's chest and pushed but with Monti nearly the size of a fully grown adult male already he out weighted her by nearly fifty pounds, give or take a few. She could feel the vibration in Monti's chest as he let out a chuckle at her failed attempts to shove him off her but she did not take offense but instead lifted her head and rubbed her face against his throat, letting out a loud and powerful purr. The two shared an affectionate moment for a brief time before Monti finally moved so Vitani could stand and shake out her fur, clearing it of dead leaf debris and dirt.

"What you hungry for Vitani?" Monti asked as he took in the area around him. Raising his nose to the air he scented it, taking in the smell of a few hares, birds, rodents and even a deer that was a surprising find. Sadly with only the two of them a deer, if not a fawn would be to much of a match for them due to the lack of experience in hunting. Having lost his pack young he had only just begun learning the beginning works of hunting. When Vitani's mother found him and begun to help him learn some of their ways he had been happy but soon she was taken from him and his newly found sister Vitani. Now with no one to show them the reins of hunting the two learned together, teaching one another new tricks they learned that worked and others that failed. Until they learned easier ways to take down larger prey it would seem they would have to deal with something on a smaller scale.

"I don't know honestly. We ate a good handful of fish yesterday, are you really hungry again already?" The lynx questioned Monti as she stepped up to his side, her head only reaching a little over his shoulders. Vitani shouldn't be surprised though that the large male was hungry again, he was much larger then her and therefore needed more food then her. The look given to her by Monti only confirmed it as he looked at her like she was crazy for even asking him that sort of question. "Well, I suppose we can try from a few hares tonight. If that doesn't work we can eat more fish. We can go to that river that is near by, I am sure this wolf pack won't miss a few fish from their river."

"But Vitani, that would be intruding also on their territory. If we are found they might try to kill you for just being a lynx. I don't want to see you getting injured or worse by someone of my kind." Monti said softly. He already lost so many, losing Vitani would just be to much for him. For someone as young as himself and Vitani they shouldn't have had to go through such a horrible beginning in life. First the vicious bear and now those fleshed two-legged took everything except his sister from him. If his own kind took her from him, he did not know what he would do except go on a rampage just so he could be killed and not have to live his life any longer.

"Oh stop being so melodramatic Monti, we both are good with our noses. We will know if any of their pack are coming on to us and once we do we can get away before they even get to us. Plus, we might catch us some hares instead anyway." With a shoulder nudge the two youngsters begun their seek for some hares to eat on the outskirts of the Watachee Pack's territory, both keeping sharp to any sounds or smells that could warn them of the approach of a member of the pack.

SUKI BELIKOV
Rᴇᴍᴇᴍʙᴇʀ: ᴘᴇᴏᴘʟᴇ ᴏɴʟʏ ʀᴀɪɴ ᴏɴ ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴘᴀʀᴀᴅᴇ ʙᴇᴄᴀᴜsᴇ ᴛʜᴇʏ'ʀᴇ ᴊᴇᴀʟᴏᴜs ᴏғ ʏᴏᴜʀ sᴜɴ ᴀɴᴅ ᴛɪʀᴇᴅ ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇɪʀ sʜᴀᴅᴇ.

The sounds of laughter and running children filled the Belikov household while a home cooked meal filled the air with its aroma. The beloved children of the bevy came and went with their mouths chattering a mile a minute as they chased after one another through the multitude of rooms on the home’s main floor. Adults attempted to scold the young but the cheerful squeals of the children were hard for anyone to truly be angered. As the mass of children rushed the kitchen of the home five children parted ways and raced toward the cook of their coming meal, a young white haired woman that all knew as Suki, the only living child of the bevy’s leader and his wife. As par usual once the children reached her side she drew her attention away from the large pot of stew and lowered her knees to welcome the fawns into a large group hug.

“Hello my little fawns, behaving like you should I hope,” she said earning her a mass of giggles from them as they gave her a range of answers but all being some form of them promising they were good little boys and girls. Suki gave a giggle of her own and stood while moving toward the cookies that were piled high on a platter off to the side on the counters beside other pastries. Grabbing five of them she handed each one to a little fawn before shooing them back to play. While she loved all the children of her bevy the five that came to her were the children of her father’s second commander and his wife thus making them her secret favorites. Of course it was probably anything but a secret as she often expressed her love for them in a range of gifts and sweets.

After watching the children run out of her sight the doe turned her attention to her father Alasdair who spoke with several of the guardians of their bevy as well as his beta. Their expressions said they were having everything but fun at the little shindig that Suki planned for the bevy and it annoyed her to no end. Storming to the group of men - something not many of the does would do - and stood there with her hands on her curved hips. All male eyes turned to her, her father’s amber ones looking to her with a hint of worry due to the stern look being pointed at him.

“Why are the six of you standing here with serious appearances on your faces? This is not a place for such emotions. This is a party and if you do not knock off your bad vibes I am going to be kicking you out of this house. Now what is with you boys acting so stern anyhow?”

“There is a flock of Corvus’ invading our territory and they are in need to be dealt with before they cause to much trouble for the herd.” Suki’s father answered believing it as a very good answer for his daughter. The look of anger flaring through the crystal blue eyes staring at the group of males proved him wrong and he feared he would have the wrath of his daughter put on him.

“Dealt with? Now is that any way to treat our guests’ father? No it is not, thus we are going to great them with treats and food, hmm?” The men dared not speak against the doe so they followed her back into her kitchen and took the platters of treats and food she ordered to be grabbed. As a group lead by Suki they headed toward the home of one of the Corvus’ as they were not sure which home housed the leader of the flock. Being the only one of the group without food of some sorts in her arms the doe was the one to knock on the door, her small tail wiggling behind her with joy at meeting someone outside her bevy. It was not often they got visitors!

The house had become sanctuary after the incident that occurred in the city merely six months ago. Mason rarely left the warm, shielding walls of his cabin home anymore, finding the comfort of it to accepting to feel the need to exit it. He rarely even checked his mailbox anymore because even that seemed like a feat in itself, it often filled with someone’s letter spitting on about how he should have done more. His parents, the people who raised him from birth have even seemed to turn against him on some level which honestly had surprised Mason on a whole new level and only pushed him further into his depression. Therapists did not help, he tried doing the things offered to him but nothing helped. Their faces never stopped haunting him, their screams filled his ears in the quit nights, and their blood… he felt as if their blood still soaked his hands and with their moist warmth sometimes. Maybe he was going insane, he could not say for certain but he had stopped caring four months ago. Now he just felt numb excluding the times he had nightmares or the memories flooded him, though now a days they seemed to rarely leave him long. He had even given up on his faithful mare, a beautiful dabbled Arabian who had been his treasure up until It happened. After trying to get out of his funk for the first couple months he ended up just selling her because the man that helped him care for her quit and without much money coming into his bank accounts any longer, feed and keeping her routines in check had become a struggle. Thankfully he had found a wonderful woman who seemed like she would do well with the mare. She had even mentioned using her in dressage or show jumping which was what Mason had often did with her during his free time. He was happy she would be able to continue to do what she seemed to love and what came naturally to her.

Today seemed worse than usual though Mason could not say for certain why. Maybe it was because he was finally fired from one of his jobs or maybe it was the fact his publisher had told him not to bother writing again because what few people had been buying his books probably would not at this point. Mr. Blanch was not a very kind man in the first place but he was a damn good publisher and hearing such news from him had truly ripped what little hope the man had left of ever coming back from this. He currently was in the bathroom under the spray of the once warm water that had slowly turned to a chilling cold. This month he would be lucky if he even managed to pay his mortgage or any of his bills for that matter. He had cut off his cable, it being of no real use anyways since he no longer watched it and had not watched it all that often even before the incident. His mind reeled on many other things as well, it having no real focal point.

It took him thirty minutes after the water turned cold before Mason finally left the shower, turning the water off and wrapping himself in a shower. His whole being for once did not feel numb but as if it was on fire and it hurt. The running water had hide the silent tears that had begun to slip from his eyes the color of blue crystal but now away from the spray the tears streaked his face. Looking at himself in the mirror he could see the whites of his eyes were bloodshot and a faint outline of his ribs had begun to settle in from his sudden lack of eating. It wasn’t that he purposefully starved himself; in fact he often tried to eat as much as he could bare but he found himself most often throwing it back up than keeping it down. He could see that he looked like hell. He rarely even shaved anymore or brushed his hair which had grown out till it was shaggy from the lack of up keeping. He only looked like a shadow of his normal self was because he shaved a few days ago after the thick scruff on his face became unbearable for him.

Rubbing the soft stubble that now coated his cheeks after a few days of growth he just let everything out, stopping himself from holding it in after so much time of festering. Mason wailed for the first time after six months. He let himself fall to his knees and cry, scream his lungs out for the shitty hand had been dealt after working so hard to get his life to a normal stand point. His anger, sadness, and everything else that he tucked away within lashed out into the air, his limbs thrashing at his side. It lasted probably only a few minutes but it felt like hours of letting go before he gathered himself back together. Taking deep breathes he finally felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders though his left hand was bleeding from where it smacked against the counter of his sink but it was bearable compared to what he had felt for so long. Standing on shaky legs he pulled the towel off his waist and used it to dry off the rest of his body before he stepped back into his bedroom to put some clothes on.

He did not bother to put on something elaborate, going with a pair of black sweats that once had fit on him but now with the loss of weight they hung loosely on his hips and a black wife beater that had a tear near the hem from constant wear. After dressing he took a moment and just stood in his bedroom, his toes wiggling and bunching up against the soft tan carpet that filled almost every room his house except his kitchen and bathrooms. It was the soft sounds of things moving further in his house that got him moving as the thoughts of there being an intruder in his home entered his mind. Mason did not carry any sort of weapon in his house, he never having been a man that believed in having some sort of defense in his home since he did live further out in the woods than most people did, twenty minutes away from the bustle of the city life. All he had was what fists and whatever he had in arms reach, which to be honest was not much. Taking a deep breath he left the warm bedroom and out into the hall, falling the sounds toward his living room.

He spotted movement and reached wildly at his sides, his fingers clasping a book he had been reading before he went to sleep the night before. It was thick, maybe six hundred pages or so and a hard back so it may do some damage, though the thought of hurting another person sent his body into a full body tremble as he walked toward the form he walked up behind. The person was shorter than him, but only by maybe a few inches and their legs seemed to go on forever before they changed to a torso. What was probably the oddest feature of what he could see of the person was their hair that matched the color of the snow that lay out on the ground outside his house.

“Hey, what are you doing in my house,” Mason asked, trying to be stern with his voice but even he could hear the slight quiver in his voice. “Answer me!” This time his words came out more firmly, but he still felt like passing out as he feared the idea of possibly having to injure this person in his home.

“Will you please leave my house… I do not want to hurt you.”

Blood splattered the concrete ground, covering the dried blood that had already been shed. Roars, shouts, and cheers filled the stuffy air of the building toward the two sparing bodies in the circle formed from bodies. Darcy, a long legged Black Panther hybrid stood in the center with a much shorter, chubby version of a tigress that already had a heavy pant forming from their battle. The panther on the other hand still had plenty of energy to spare and with a grin spreading open her maw she charged the tigress. The other female tried to dodge but with being worn down by her competition Darcy snaked an arm around her and slammed her to the ground. Taking one of her legs she moved it to the other side of the tigress and crouched over her, her tail flicking behind her to show her excitement.

              “Kill her!”

              “Finish the house cat!”

              “End the tigress Dar!”

Those words where only a few of the calls Darcy’s sharp ears caught in the shouting of the people around them, they giving her a deep need to finish her prey that laid beneath her. Leaning in close she flashed her fangs as the tigress attempted to shove her off or move away; which, she was not too sure of.

“Do you hear them my little tiger? They want me to kill you. Should I obey their pleas and end your life, hmm? Or maybe I should let you live so you can see another day of this place.” Darcy said to her as she grabbed the little tigress by the face, using her hold to wave the other female’s head from side to side as blood oozed from the corners of her mouth. The scent of the blood made her nostrils flare and her pupils dilate, saliva filling her mouth at the idea of tasting the red liquid. The soft mews coming from one side of the circle, the side that held other contestants caught the panther’s attention and her emerald eyes looked in the direction of the soft calls. It was there she could see Aarika, a female who was a strange mix of puma and wolf and Heidi, a female of a rare genetic cheetah called the king cheetah. The two were huddled together and looking at her, silently telling her what she should do and she listened.

Standing up from her position over the tigress she let out a beastly roar, letting all know she was the champion fighter while her component passed out on the cold floor. Ignoring all the calls shouted at her she walked to the open arms of who she could call friend in this place and escorted the other two girls toward the back of the building. For a few minutes Darcy let the two tend to her wounds before she told them of her plan. It was a long shot for them but if they pulled it off they would finally be free of this place and all its rules and bloodshed.

The plan had been a success but now the three females were stranded on the streets till they found a place to stay. They had no money of their own as all their winnings were given to their master, a greedy and pudgy human man. For the moment they planned to make a small park their home which would not be difficult for them since they had fur to keep them warm from the cool autumn nights. Settled by one of the larger trees that shadowed the ground from the waning moon the three felines curled around one another for warmth.

“Darcy, what are we going to do now,” Aarika, the youngest of them asked with worry as she laid her hand on her arm, her long fluffy tail curling around her and draping over Darcy’s stomach with its length. Truthfully the panther had no idea what they were going to do now that they were free. They had only a small park to call home for now and nothing more except each other. It was Heidi that responded instead of Darcy.

“We are going to claim this park as ours so we can have this is our home forever!” Aarika could only giggle at Heidi’s words knowing full well that such a thing could not be done unless they wanted humans on their tails for the rest of their long lives. It was warming though that they still could joke around, even in their current situation.

"Come on, let us get some rest then we can worry about what we do next,” Darcy suggested as she laid her head down on Heidi’s hip, the other two girls soon joining and curling around one another for warmth as they tried to rest.

( ) : ⇣ DARCY SINCLAIR

              “You idiot!”

Darcy's emerald green eyes raised from the letters that filled the pages of the soft leather bound book he held in his hand reading, moving his gaze to look toward his siblings who were bickering about something involving the weapons the two currently had their gazes honed on. Shaking his head he grabbed soft fabric he used as a book mark and placed it in the crease of the book before shutting it and placing it on the red oak table as he stood up and headed toward the two.

“What are you two fighting over now?” He asked as he moved to hover over Lucian’s other side that was not occupied by their bigger brother Alastair who had a stern look on his face while he crossed his arms over his chest. Looking at the twin bladed swords he noticed one of them had a hairline fracture almost dead center of the blade. How they hell did Luc manage to do that much damage to his weapons? The swords were hand crafted by blacksmith vampires to ensure that they were as strong as they could be made so a vampire’s strength did not shatter the steal in one hard swing in a battle. For little Lucian to be able to cause a break in his sword he had to have been swinging the thing at high rates repeatedly without break.

“I had only been training and it just broke okay! That blacksmith cheated me out of good weapons I tell you!” Darcy could only shake his head at his little brother’s words because he knew very well that the smith’s work on the weapons had been some of his finest work. Their little brother, because he was so much younger and smaller than Darcy and Alastair, was constantly trying to prove himself so he did not make their family look weak to their people. It was silly of him to even consider himself weak since he was faster than his brothers and even their mother who is known for her speed, though the family could never be too sure if she was letting him win or not.

“We all know that is a damn lie! You were over exerting your weaponry and you know it! You been out training for hours again haven’t you?” Alastair asked sternly, his anger obvious as he sneered at Lucian, showing off one of his long pointed fangs. Shaking his head Darcy smacked both of them upside their heads which gained him two similar shouts of pain since he did it none to gently.

“You two quit your harping. The sword can be repaired so do not worry about it but Lucian you do need to stop training so vigorously. You are going to end up hurting instead of bettering yourself and we cannot have that happening. Now, how about we all get some air and head to the beach?” Darcy offered though it was not much of one since he took hold of the two by their forearms and dragged them alongside him to the door. They three headed toward the stables that held their horses and saddled their steeds before riding them through their kingdom toward the sands of the beach that settled not far off from their home. On the sands they slowed their horses from their canters to slow trots, Lucian taking his mare into the shallow sprays of the ocean water so the horse’s steps splashed up water toward his brothers. Soon all three brothers used their horses to splash one another before Alastair found himself falling into the waters when his stallion bucked for some strange reason.

“Al, are you okay?” Darcy asked as he hopped off his own steed’s back and held his soaking wet brother from the slashing waves of salt water.

“What happened? Did you pull on Mell’s reins to hard big brother?” Lucian asked as he came over with Mell’s reins in hand, the stallion appearing as if he had not just thrown his master off his back. Alastair was shaking his head before their brother could finish the sentence with a frown on his features.

“I do not know what got into him. He must have just reared for no specific reason I presume.” Their brother said as he wrung out his clothes the best of his ability before pulling himself back into the saddle. Darcy moved back toward his stallion who stood their patiently but his attention caught on a lumped figure on the sands, the ocean water gently splashing around the form.

“Maybe the stallion did not rear at random. He probably did not want to step on whatever that creature is there.” Darcy commented as he waved his hand toward the form that was lightly lit by the moon’s rays that tried to shine strong that night through the puffs of clouds that spotted. The trio of brothers all headed toward the object, Darcy on his feet while the others remained on their horses. As they neared the form begun to take the appearance of something they all were familiar with, the form of a female’s body.

“A girl? Out here?” Lucian questioned with his brows furrowed in confusion. It was indeed unusual because there was only the vampire kingdom near and the woman smelled of no vampire blood. Heading toward the naked woman he pulled off his royal cloak and draped it over her still form. “Is she dead?” Luc asked as he walked up to her still body, using the toe of his boot the poke at her form. When she didn't move he looked to his brothers who both had smiles on their faces at their little brother's innocence.

"If you listened closely you could still hear her heart beat little brother," Darcy replied as he unclasped his rich blue cloak with his family crest embroidered in silver that allowed any who did not know from his features that he was of the vampire royal family and laid it over her.

"What shall we do with her brother?" Darcy asked, directing his question to Alastair with a raised brow as he did not know if bringing the human with them home would be a wise action on their part. However leaving her for the sea creatures or even the rare land creatures that would prey on her did not sit well with the man. Yes he drank from her race to keep himself living but the majority of the vampires were not evil, killing every human they crossed paths with. They as a race had beef with a few other mythical beings, such as those pesky werewolves that thought they deserved to rulers of the land and even the mer-folk on some levels still to this day. Darcy watched as his brother stroked his chin like he did whenever he begun to think intensely about a matter but his attention was drawn to Lucian who moved to sit in the sand beside her and begun to pet the woman's brunette locks.

"She is pretty, we should take her home with us!" Lucian offered as his opinion on the matter though with him being a young man it was no surprise that taking her home would be a welcoming idea for him. Alastair shook his head at their little brother's opinion but the more Darcy thought on the matter the more he also liked the idea of taking her back to the castle and having their doctor at least examining her health and even gain the opinions of the king and queen.

"Maybe we should Al, we can at least have her be looked after until she awakes and is checked over by Dobs. It would be wrong to just leave a young lady out in the open like this. Would you leave her be if she was of our kind? And of a child or with husband? I certainly would not be seen resting with the knowledge that we left an exposed woman out in the open for any monster to have." It seemed those words were what decided all of their minds and with a nod of Alastair Darcy went to the young woman and gathered her up in her arms. He handed her off to Al only long enough for him to mount his stallion before he took her back, holding her firmly to him with one arm while he took center in leading them back to the castle.

              TIME SKIP
              ( One Hour )

It had not taken them long to reach their home, they trio giving no mind to the guards that looked at them strangely as they dismounted their steeds. Darcy and Lucian headed to the place of study of the doctor Dobs while Alastair went to fetch their parents to let them know of the situation they had found themselves under. When Darcy and Luc arrived they handed the woman off to the man, letting him do his tests on her as they requested when their parents arrived. They requested the departure of their sons and only after a moments of hesitation did they leave to go about their things. By the time the parents spoke with Dobs, letting him know to not allow anyone know of the mermaid being within their home it was almost day. The castles shutters that dropped to protect any vampires that still roamed the halls from the killing rays of the sun letting them know how late it had become.

When the parents went to leave Darcy came forward, requesting his parents to stay with the woman till at least she woke and could tell him what happened and what he could do to help her. They tried to argue with him but knowing they could not guard their sons for much longer from actually coming across a member of the mer-folk they allowed it, only asking him to promise that he allow no harm to her even by his own hands. While at the moment he was confused by their request he may come to know why they asked such a thing of him soon enough...

At some point in watching over his rescue Darcy had dozed off in the plush chair he moved into the room so he had something better to seat himself in than the usual stiff chairs. Rubbing his eyes and face he looked over to what stirred him awake and found Lucian staring at him with a mug in hand, holding it out to him. By the scent of the contents it was blood, probably freshly bleed from a human host. Smiling at him he took the offered food and shooed him away, not wanting him to hover. It was sometime during drinking the blood while reading when he heard rustling of the soft silk sheets that covered the mysterious woman. Putting down his book he quickly stood to move at her side, sitting on the queen bed's side next to her. Listening to her heart beat he took notice of it slowly picking up speed as she cracked open her eyes to look around her. He had known when the woman woke she would probably be frightened, hence why he insisted on being at her side so he can sooth her once she did come out of her sleep.

"It is okay, you are safe now. Can you tell me if you remember anything, like what your name is?" He asked softly as he grabbed at her hand, keeping his voice soft and low pitched to prevent he from frightening more than she already was. "Do you know what had taken you to the shores of the beaches?"

( ) : ⇣ Iridessa ' Des ' Slater

Iridessa had not always been a part of this life she found herself in now. Don't get her wrong, being a part of the life she lived now had its perks but at her age now she had begun to think back if she had made the right choices. Back in her early years she not been a woman of high intelligence but she was neither a woman who was dumb. She had made C's or better in high school and with her mother a doctor with the bonus money from having what money her father had handed to her to use for college she had thought to become a writer as creative thinking was one her best assets. Her teachers always appraised her writing skills whenever an essay was needed to be written for an assignment or something of that matter and it had inspired her to seek a job of writing stories that would take the minds of young and old to new heights in thinking. When she entered school she made sure to take as many classes she could though to make sure if her book writing plan did not go as planned that she would have some knowledge to fall back on. It was in her second year of college that she meet him, the Italian Don Basilio, but of course back then she had not known of his job description.

Back then the two had really hit it off, Iridessa having practically fallen madly in love with him the moment of meeting him. The two took it slow at first but after a few months the man had popped the question, saying something about her strong spirit and powerful ability to love a man like him of his background he wanted to snatch her up before she was taken off by some other more attractive man. She couldn't see how the man could lack confidence in himself for the man had been drop dead gorgeous and would make any woman droll. In fact she knew many of her girlfriends were jealous of her, saying she was lucky to have managed to snatch such a sweet man off the streets because they would have loved to have had even just one day with him. She had even been surprised he wanted her as his wife because she knew she was not the best catch out there. Because of her nearly pure Italian bloodline, having a small mix of Romanian in there somewhere she was as pale as paper with dull black hair that she often found combing at least three times a day it got so tangled. She was not rail thin woman with that stupid thigh gap. She had volume. Her bust was large and she pudgy around the stomach and her thighs touched but were finely toned as well as most of her body thanks to her work outs she managed to slip in on her free time. To this day she still had about the same body only with a few extra wrinkles from aging.

When she had finally said yes to the question; she had said no the first four times he asked throughout several months, the two planned what she thought to be a small wedding. The turnout had been grander then she had ever expected and her breathe had been taken from the start to the end but the beauty of it all. It had only taken a few months for her to finally find out the truth about her new husband. Upon her first finding out she had been enraged but with a bunch of comfort from the family she finally accepted the fact that she was now not only a mafia wife, but the Don's. Soon after the marriage she was pulled out of school, told by her husband that she did not need to get any degree because he had enough money for both of them and thus she became his house wife. A few years afterward she found she was with not one child but twins and the entire family had been delighted. The two had been so happy that they were already about to start a family that they had already begun to decorate a spare room for the coming twins, Basilio even having taken time away from being big bad Don to help her out with choices.

Sadly when Iridessa was at eight months in the pregnancy something went wrong and she had to be rushed to the hospital. It took a grueling ten hours but by the time things were over one of the twins had died and the other was not far behind. It was after the death of the twins that things seemed to change between them. The two became distant from one another, even had begun to sleep in different bedrooms except on a few rare occasions they decided they were in need of being touched by one another. Even during those touches the two hardly looked at each other. It was tiring honestly but neither seemed to want a divorce so they dealt with it. She even begun to let Basilio be with other women after a while though surprisingly he rarely took a woman to bed, which even with their marriage as it was it had been warming to know he did not feel the need for another woman's touch often. Iridessa did not take the bed of any other man, she never finding herself attracted enough to step her bounds as a wife even if she could be with another man without consequence.

Eventually behind closed doors Basilio begun beating Iridessa but her faithful love for the man stopped her from filing divorce and leaving him. After the beats the days after he spent making up for them, often with gifts of expensive proportions such as diamonds and sport cars. Now a days the gifts did not mean anything to her, just lied promises that he would not beat her again. As of a year ago he had gotten her one of the most expensive computers out there and now she used it in secret when he was away for business to work on her book. She had already had contacted a few people and gotten a book published under a pen name and now she was working a new one in the small series she planned on creating even if it was behind her husband's back.

With morning arriving she had long since had woken from bed, knowing her husband was to get to work early that morning and he would be hungry so she best have something made for him to eat. She already had a platter of bacon and eggs made and was just finishing up some pancakes when a knock came at the door. Turning off the stove and moving the pan off the hot surface she padded over to the door, uncaring that she had only her silk nightgown to cover her bruised body. Yea, she had given up on trying to cover all the bruises that were left from the beatings so the bruise on her jaw was visible and a bruised imprint of a hand could be seen wrapped around her bicep. If anyone looked behind her top half they would see a few faint bruises on her calves and thighs but under the gown were several more that coated her ribs and stomach. Grasping the clear door knob she opened the door to find a young woman at the door dressed in her finest. To this day Iridessa did her best to keep as much as possible out of the Mafia business so who this woman was she had really not much of a clue except probably being one of Basilio's little killers or something of that matter. Not many people outside the Mafia visited the house so it was unlikely to be some sales representative of sorts.

"Basilio is probably still resting, but I will go check and see if he is ready to see anyone. Close the door behind you," Iridessa added before she turned to leave the woman at the door while she moved through the house to Basilio's bedroom. She was surprised to find him already up and even showered and dressed for the day. "Basilio, some girl is here to see you I believe." She stated when he turned to look at her with an irritated look in his eyes. The mention of the girl seemed to take away some of that irritation because he actually smiled at her and nodded.

"I'll be out momentarily." With that statement she took her leave, not needing to over stay her welcome and closed the door behind her before she headed back toward the kitchen.

"Are you hungry dear? I have plenty of food prepared over here if you are. If not I can get you something to drink maybe?" Not looking to see where the woman had went she simply spoke over her shoulder, taking sure to be a good hostess to the guest.

MASON BREAUX

The stranger for a very brief moment actually looked happy, or excited but the look seemed to vanish rather quickly after his order seemed to upset the man. Mason was not to sure how to take the other man's words as he wondered if this was some sort of psycho or something. Who went around saying they can't leave a house, especially when that house was someone else's home? His grip on the large book tightened and he forced himself to stop shaking like a leaf. This was his house! He needed to stop being a little baby and... When the man spoke up again he didn't let himself be frightened, or at least he tried. He knew he wasn't much of a tough guy to begin with. Hell if he did not have a home gym in his house he probably would be a twig that would easily snap. It was only thanks to his home equipment that he had some muscle to use to fight with. The guy in front of him did not look strong so Mason probably could out power him if he got the upper hand on him.

Throughout his musing to boost up his confidence to take the guy on it took him a few moments to realize the man had red eyes. Yes, this guy had actual ******** red eyes! All his self boosting slithered out of him as new fear tried to wiggle its way into him. There was no way the man could have actual red eyes, they had to be contacts. Yea, that was it, right? Then the guy had to point out that the book would do little damage to him and what little fight Mason had left in him fleeted. The mention of the knives in his kitchen, or as the man put it, sharp objects and that he would do better work with them he felt anger building up inside him. Did this guy want him to kill him? God he certainly did not want some suicidal kid coming into his house hoping to get himself killed. Just the idea made Mason fill sick to his stomach.

Mason opened his mouth to speak as he lowered his weapon to his side but no sound came out as he noticed the man moving toward him, having missed the other man's interaction with the window. When the other man stood before him and lifted a injured hand worry replaced his anger. He went to reach out to the wounded limb but the stranger spoke and his words made his head spin. Not human? How was that even possible? This guy had to be fooling with him right? At least that was what he thought before the man licked the thumb of his uninjured hand and ran it over the wound and with astonishing speed the wound healed before his eyes until it was nothing but smooth flesh.

"Oh my god... that is impossible. There is no way that is true!" Mason was having a hard time breathing as he felt like a panic attack was coming on. The book he still had in his hand slipped out of his fingers to the ground with a soft thud. Turning away from the man... creature... whatever he was he listened to what he was saying but did not want to believe the words. Sitting down he covered his face with his hands while shaking his head and lightly rocking on the cushion. After a few breathes he felt like he was calm enough to actually think about what the being said and he tried to make sense of it all. Rubbing his hands over his face he took a deep breathe before looking at this creature that stood in his living room as he wondered if he really believe the guy or not. Maybe he was just asleep and this was all just some crazy bad nightmare he was having. Moving his hand to his arm he gave himself a hard pinch and winced when he did not wake up. Well ******** him sideways.

"This is real... you are real... Oh my god." Mason's blue eyes widened as he covered his mouth in an attempt to keep himself from yelling or screaming as he freaked out from within. "From what you just said... I created you? Right?" Oh god if he was right that meant he threatened this creature that he basically made. That was horrible! "s**t. How long have you been around?" Mason was actually surprised he had not fainted yet and was actually proud of himself for not doing so. He thought he was taken this news kind of well for a guy who never knew supernatural beings were real before hand. Should he offer the guy food, or did he even eat? There was just so much he wanted to figure out but he feared he might push his bounds and was not sure what all to ask him... maybe a name would be a start?

"Do you have a name? Oh wait, that is stupid of me to ask... I mean what is your name? Yea, that is what I meant to ask."

( ) : ⇣ Sebastian 'Snow ' Novak

The day started off like any other day did. Sebastian awoke beside his beloved girlfriend Jezebel tucked against his side, her cascade of black locks scattered over his bare chest as he held her with an arm wrapped around her. His body was still sore from their argument last night, his pale skin had even begun its changing of color to form bruising from the hits that had been dealt against his person. The argument had been like all the others they shared, it being of some nonsense that angered Jezebel till she could not stand it any longer and let loose her fury. As usual though the two made up after the fight and by bedtime they were back to the cute, cuddling and loving couple that everyone saw them as. Over the years it had become routine for them and Sebastian was okay with that. She on rare occasions did break a bone or like that one time a few months ago, burned him with boiling water but that had been an accident... like everything else she had done was. She was just spirited, at least that was what he told himself whenever he happened to think of leaving her. He only came of injury by her because he angered her or someone else had at work and not wanting to be fired she just came home to let her fury out there.

Having slipped from bed Sebastian took a warm shower, letting the heat of the water ease the ache in his muscles some before he bathed and finished his usual morning workings. Dressed and smelling freshly clean he headed off to the kitchen to start breakfast. He was almost done when Jezebel came out, but instead of her usual mused, innocent look she had whenever she just woke up she looked angered beyond anything he had ever seen her in their years of a relationship. He did not understand why she would be angry this early in the morning. She did not even get this angry after having a bad dream, which did happen on occasions but they usually talked it over and she would finally calm down and eat breakfast with him before they both headed to work. This was no anger brought on by a bad dream he could see that as she stormed toward him. Already he was raising his hands, one still clasping the spatula he was using to stir the eggs in a plan to try to fend off some of her blows. When none came when the sounds of her footsteps halted he looked around his arms to see her holding out his phone, the name Amy lighting up the screen with the missed call icon beside the name.

"You care to explain to me who the ******** is Amy, Sebastian? Or should I just call her back and ask her myself?" Sebastian hurried to grab the phone but Jezebel snatched it out of reach before he could get to it. Amy was a co-worker who insisted on putting her name into his phone after she spotted on a few occasions some bruises on him. She had said it was so he could call her if ever something bad happened and he didn't want to get the authorities involved. He did not expect her to be calling him because if he had known she would he would never have agreed to exchange numbers. Jez was a very woman who got jealous very easily.

"She is just a co-worker sweetheart. She was probably calling to tell me something about work," he explained softly in hopes to calm down his enraged girlfriend. She didn't seem to be taking the news smoothly because the next moment he found is phone being thrown at him, the device smacking him on the temple.

"You expect me to believe that bullshit Sebastian," she shouted as he crumpled over in pain, clutching the side of his head that was luckily not bleeding. He did feel a headache coming on as the injured temple throbbed from the impact. Sebastian did not remain in his crumbled form for long as Jezebel moved to grab him by his dyed pale blonde locks in a firm hold and tugged at them violently so his head was bent at an odd angle so he could look up at her. "You are ******** her! I knew it!" The moment those words passed her plush lips he knew he would not be going into work that day, or even probably days afterward. He could have fought her off but it was no use because fighting back just made her angrier and made her attacks last longer. He could even over power her if he really tried but they would just lead to a later attack and he did not want to deal with two attacks in one day. If he just let her have her way she would get bored or tired and leave him to lick his wounds. So when she ripped the spatula from his hand and begun to smack him with it he simple took the hits with only soft whimpers and winces, doing his best to keep as quiet as possible.

When the hits stopped Sebastian opened his eyes, not quite remembering when he had shut them when the blows halted and the clatter of the weapon being placed into the sink reached his ears. He slowly looked up at her from the tile floor only to have his baby blue eyes widen in horror as she grabbed the handle of the pan that was filled with the now probably burnt eggs. In one flick of her wrist the eggs flew into the air and landed on him, coating him in hot eggs that he scrambled to brush off before they could do much damage. He stopped mid-wipe when Jezebel's arm came into view but it was too late for him to dodge. The next thing he knew he had a searing hot pan smacking him against the shoulder, blistering pain quickly radiating from the hit. He could not help but fall to his side from the hit, catching himself with his forearm before he completely hit the ground. He hurried to move across the floor toward the dining table that stood a few feet away but before he could reach it more hits from the pan sent his body to the ground till he was a still. He would have shouted from the hits but after having learned to stay quiet for the past couple years from her hits, nothing came out when he went to scream.

"If I cannot have you, no one can damn it!" Sebastian could feel his skin blistering from where the pan made full contact to his skin but as a whole his entire being felt as if it was on fire. Hell at the point he would have welcomed it because at least with the fire surrounding him it would get Jezebel away from him.

"Jez... please stop! I did not cheat on you!" he tried to shout it but the words were barely above a whisper. She seemed to have finally calmed because no more hits came upon his body but he could not have been any more wrong. He was sprawled out on the ground trying to get his self together when a sharp pierce suddenly speared him in the shoulder. This time he did scream, for the first time in a long time he screamed. The next few hits were to his side and his thigh and to those he screamed louder as he flailed his arms behind him as he twisted his body. Jezebel was crouched behind him with one of the kitchen knives in hand. With his torso twisted to face her direction the next hit came to his chest though thankfully he was able to grab her forearm to stop it from going to deep. The two spared for the next several minutes with Sebastian getting several long slices down his arms and body in the process.

It seemed like to took forever to Sebastian for the assault to stop, but when it did she dropped the knife and seemed to walk away like she had did nothing wrong, like she had not just stabbed and smacked her lover of so many years to an inch of his life. He watched from the floor that was pooling with his blood as she disappeared down the hallway. Soon she left for work, ignoring him all the way through the process till she pulled her car out of the lot and left him there. It was only until he was for certain she was gone did he move. He was numb, could barely even fill the tips of his fingers but he ignored it. He grabbed the keys to his car and slipped into the driver's seat. He went as fast as he dared toward the nearest ATM where he pulled out as much money from it as he could, repeating the process a few times at different ATM's till he was certain he had enough to last him a little while. Next he called a hotel and got a room reserved. He knew he should go to a hospital but the nearest one was where Jezebel was employed as a receptionist and he did not want to come across her.

Thankfully when he arrived at the hotel he had a hoodie in the back seat. Pulling it on he limped his way into the hotel, the man at the counter barely casting a look at him as he checked his reserve and gave him his key card.

TIME SKIP
( Two Hours )

Sebastian had long passed out, he barely having made it to his room and over to the bed before he collapsed on the crisp yellow comforter. He had silently spoken a prayer to whatever divine being there was as he knew he for certain he was going to die in that hotel bed. He probably should feel bad for leaving a mess for people to clean up but for once he honestly could give two shits what someone else thought. It was the sounds of a scream that had him stirring from his blood loss induced slumber but when he went to open his eyes his vision was all a blurry cluster ********. No forms made any sense, his body finally came out of its numbness and all he wanted to do was scream from the pain but he could not even get up the strength to do that. His eyes closed after a moment only to open again at the sounds of sirens. Someone was speaking but there words sounded as if they were coming from a distance and he could not make out what they were saying. Soon he blacked out again.

When he finally came to again he found himself in a stiff bed with sheets a little too rough on the skin that made him want to kick them off of his body but when he went to do so he felt pulses of pain fill his legs and he stopped the action. Instead he decided to look around and after taking in the beeping equipment and the boring white everything he concluded that he was in a hospital room. Someone had must have been keeping an eye on him because the next thing he knew he had a doctor and two nurses coming in and checking up on his condition. They tried to get what happened out of him but he remained silent, only answering a few other questions they had before he become tired once more. One of the nurses feed him ice clips but soon even letting the ice melt in his mouth and swallowing become too much work and he feel back to sleep.

( ) : ⇣ UTA

Freyja. It is a world that those of Earth had been hunting for as a new home for their people for hundreds of years. Circling the planet are two moons, one with the name of Redilior and the other Silkovi. Redilior is much larger than its companion and hold a red tone of color constantly, orbiting the world from afar. Silkovi is small and orbits the world at a closer range, its tone taking on a soft tone of blue, almost white. The large orange star; the sun as the Earthlings call it, that heats up the planet is nestled just far enough away to not roast the life of the planet and bring life to it. Summers were hotter on Freyja than what the humans were so familiar with on their planet, and winters were harsh and full of darkness for several months but even so it was a world the humans were happy to claim as their own. Of course, they never suspected that there would be any intelligent life on the planet, but they quickly learned they had been wrong to think all creatures would not be sentient beings… They soon were faced by the Elgok, the one creature on the planet that held intelligence.

              ▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅

A large, long pointed ear swiveled toward the sounds of a Buvolu as it made its approach from the thick forest line, probably intending to drink from the lake water that took on a crimson tone from sediment. The adult Elgok's eyes that matched the crimson water shifted to look away from where it had been watching a Muger, a fish breed that populated the waters of the world in schools with its four eyed, green scaled selves to give the Buvolu its full attention. The Buvolu creatures were one of the few predators that roamed the lands that any Elgok had to keep an eye out on. The two creatures stood at similar heights to one another, but where the Elgok’s people were beautiful with their fur and feathers and were highly intelligent, these creatures were ugly with slimy textured skin, six legs and were dim witted. So why did they have to be watched? While they were indeed idiotic they still posed a threat because they had strength to back up their idiocy. Uta, the Elgok himself had witness what a Buvolu could do when not taken seriously. His old friend Nero still had a heavy limp in his stride on his hind left leg where one of the creatures sunk its long tusk teeth into his flesh, ripping the flesh from the bone. The creature was killed but his friend had learned his lesson and now watched them wearily and preferably at a far distance.

When the Buvolu inched its way closer to the water's edge a much smaller Buvolu in fell behind and Uta knew he best be moving on. He had come out for the early rise of the sun to warm his flesh and to stretch his limbs and that was what he received. He even gained a small show from the Lume as they threw their small orange scaled bodies into the air before splashing back into the deep depths of the lake. He did not need to go on upsetting a mother Buvolu; he'd hate to make an orphan out of the little one or end up having to kill the both of them just to protect his person. Snorting out a breath the Elgok stood and walked away quietly, taking his time as he headed toward home. This far from the main city of the Elgok community there were faint scars from the war that had taken place several decades ago. It still amazed him how quickly his people jumped in attacking the intelligent creatures that come in their metal buzzing creations. The nobles did not want anything to do with the intelligent creatures and waged war on them, not bothering an attempt to make a treaty of sorts with them. Uta himself had even spilled the blood of a dozen or more humans himself, a fact he was not proud of. Why? Because shortly after the war finally ended, resulting in the humans evacuating except for those less fortunate he had come to meet a wonderful human male by the name of Remus.

Their first meeting was anything but wonderful however because while Uta had been in his humanoid form his red iris's and black sclera gave away his true species and the two grew into a heated argument quickly. Oddly enough the two often came across paths of one another and slowly they begun to get to know each other beyond their species. Eventually they had even become lovers; a fact that was forbidden by the nobles but the two continued their affair. It had caused him to lose his lover of four long years, a man he would have died to grow old with but the hierarchy simply saw it was traitorous on his part. Remus and his family died by fire and he was thrown out of the city to live in the wilderness till they thought he deserved to be accepted back into the world of the proper. He did not care if he ever became accepted back into the world of the nobles. He did not want to live in with Elgoks that saw humans as scapegoats or as creatures that should be killed. Not while the people listened to the hierarchy without thought or question if what they did was wrong. Uta was lucky though; he was not the only Elgok to think this. In fact an astonishing hundred plus agreed with his words and even left the safety of the city to live with him, surrounding the settlement of the humans to protect them from creatures like the Buvolu.

Uta’s large paws made impressions into the soft ground brought on by the rain that came the night before as he walked toward his small home built in a large Mooplin Tree. He took in his surroundings, taking notice of some of the planets already collapsing in on their selves in a form of protection. The foliage did such when it felt that winter would be arriving upon Freyja, preparing itself for the cold and hungry nocturnal creatures. It would be another month or so before it would engulf the lands in total darkness but it was best for him too to prepare for the coming weather. The Elgoks that protected the small settlement of humans would have to go on high alert when winter did come. Darkness brought out all the vicious creations that roamed the grounds and caves of Freyja and they always managed to snag at least a few humans through the tough months. It was usually children that were taken, they being the weakest and adventurous out of the humans like any young pup would be. Children of the humans were coming to be rare now as a younger generation that could breed became slimmer in numbers. Some humans did end up mating with Elgoks but those that were born either died after a few months or were born to be a strange mix of the two races. The snatching of the humans were not the only things they had to worry about, but also food as the humans could not hunt for themselves in the darkness. It was troublesome but to Uta it was a trouble he was willing to take if it ensured the living of the humans in the settlement.

The Elgok was closer now to his home, but he slowed as strange scents filled his nostrils. The smelled of his people but none of the scents showed to be any Elgok that stood on his side in protecting the humans. It only meant that these were of the city of hierarchy, which led to Uta feeling grateful his home was not settled closer to the human settlement for they may have attempted to eradicate them for good. Bristling at the neck he approached with caution as he ascended his steps to the large open hole that was used as a doorway into his home. At the entrance stood two Elgoks not much smaller than himself their eyes looking into his home until they heard him let out a warning snarl.

“What are you doing at my home?” Uta questioned as he pinned his ears back against his head as his tail rose as the feathers flared outward, showing his displeasure of having his home being invaded.

“We are here to take you, Uta to be spoken to by one of the hierarchy,” one replied with a hint of a snarl in his words as he stepped forward, green irises glimmering with hatred toward Uta. The other male stepped up beside his companion, shouldering him aside before he continued to explain further.

“This is of the matter of your banishment. He has a proposal for you that, if you take it you may be gifted with being brought back into the city as a citizen.” Lips peeling away from his teeth, Uta bared his fangs and pushed his way between the two Elgoks into his home, ignoring their grunts of pain they were forced against the walls of the entrance. Once past them he turned on them, snapping his teeth together near their rears. The two tucked their hinds quickly to avoid contact, their actions gaining laughter from Uta as he moved to hold his head high in pleasure.

“Who says I wish to be taken back by those of the city? I like it out here, so why would I go and help one of the hierarchy? Leave my home, now.” Uta barked harshly but the two males did not descend as he requested. Instead they turned to face him, the one to speak first with a grin spread across his face.

“We were ordered to kill you if you refused to come,” the second male said in reply. Kill him, huh? Of course that was no surprise as the hierarchy hated not having their way and did everything they could to get things done like they want. He could take on the smaller males but with their death stronger and larger guards would be sent in their place to finish the deed. The process would be repeated until he was either dead or he followed them to the city to speak to this male of the hierarchy and see what he wanted. It was only with a heavy heart and sigh did he give in and nodded.

“Fine, lead the way.” The first male Elgok seemed displeased he was not going to be able to kill this day but the two still turned and lead the way down the steps and onward to the city.

              Time Skip - Two Hours

They had come to arrive at a fancy built home, its walls glimmering in the early sunlight as the guards and Uta made their way inside and down the cold stone floors. After years of walking on the soft ground in where he called home the floor felt unnatural under his paws, his long claws clicking softly against the gleaming stone. They came to a large door, made of wood of the rarest of tree breeds. It angered him that such a rare species of fauna would be used for the mere pleasure and luxury of having it as a door to shield away whoever was inside to give them privacy. The two Elgok guards used their magic to slowly push the door open, one calling out that they have arrived with Uta in tow. A booming voice he all but remembered from his past bounced off the walls toward them, telling them to enter the chambers and shut the door behind them. Doing as ordered Uta left the guards and stood in the center of the room, his crimson gaze shifting from one item to the next that filled the room.

“Have a seat Uta, this may take a while as there is a lot we must talk about.” Uta turned his gaze to the male that had ordered his beloved Remus to be burned before him, his deep hatred for the man rising to the surface. He kept hold of it though, for now at least as he moved to the plush cushion made with the finest animal skin, probably a soft Ussa with its innards stuffed with fur and feathers of a Buuhrar. As he laid his large body on it he kept his gaze focused on the male, ignoring the fact the guards had left them to be alone and listened as the male begun to speak his proposition for Uta.

( ) : ⇣ DARCY SINCLAIR

Darcy did not move an inch as the girl stirred further in the plump bed, gently moving herself so as to place space between their bodies. Hazel eyes watched cautiously her as she seemed to try and work things out in her mind as to where she was and what happened to her. Looking at the small bump and scrap on her forehead that she made a point in touching, he made a note to speak to the doctor to see if what must have hit her unconscious would leave any permanent damage. It swelled outward which was always a good sign for a swelling inward may possible lead to long term problems for the little lady. It was upsetting that she did not seem to remember much of what happened to her but he hoped that she would in time.

"No, I sadly do not know of what occurred that lead to you unconsciousness. Me and my brothers had simply found you while out on ride." Darcy replied in answer to her question before he listened to the sounds of a growl that came from the woman's midsection, announcing her hunger for food. Rising from the edge of the bed he walked out the room to see to some food being brought to her. Spotting one of the handful of maids that helped around the castle in keeping it clean he grabbed her by the arm gently and smiled at the human female as she looked up at him.

"I need some food brought up for our guests, she seems to have gain some hunger since her arrival."

"Oh, yes. I will see to seeing what the cook has that can be brought up immediately, sir." she answered quickly before dipping her head with a small bow before hustling down the hall to see to her new duty. Once finished in seeing to having food brought up for the young woman he re-entered the room, giving the lady a light smile. Due to his heightened hearing Darcy heard the soft spoken question and not seeing no reason not to answer he spoke up.

"I do not know why you where there. I am sorry I do not know more for you." He settled himself down in the chair he had been sitting in during her rest so she did not feel he was hovering over her or attempting some sort of horrid act upon her. "I am the second prince of this kingdom. You are currently staying my home, the castle of my family."

Darcy could not help himself but smile inwardly as he took notice of a soft hue of color working its way over the woman's features. It was quite sweet that she would blush over his words but it was not everyday some people got to meet face to face with someone of the royal family, let alone be settled in the home and being cared after by one of the royal family members. The scent of one scampi floated through the cracks in the door, announcing the arrival of the young woman some food. He hoped she was not allergic as he had not bothered asking her such a fact. Raising to his feet the carrier of the small platter only was able to knock and open the door when Darcy was there to retrieve the treats. Thanking the young human he closed the door once more before walking over and handing the platter over for the woman to feast upon.

"Shrimp," he replied as he watched her begin to quickly devour the tiny crustaceans as if it would be her last meal in this realm. She finished the meal rather quickly making Darcy worry that she may make herself sick with eating to food at such a fast rate but instead of voicing his concern he simply smiled before grabbing the plate and placing it outside the door on the floor where one of the servants would see it and take it to be cleaned. Now that she was fed the vampire wondered what he should do next. He probably should seek the doctor and tell that the young lady was awake from her slumber but he did not move from where he stood, arms crossed over his chest. When she went to thank him, he took notice that, while he had introduced himself as a prince he never gave the poor lass his actual name.

"Darcy," he said with a warm smile that showed off some of his teeth. "The name is Darcy." Walking over to the side of the bed he held out his hand while nodding his head to her request. "I can certainly take you. Please follow me." Darcy had to lock his knees to keep himself still as he watched the young lass slip from the bed. He did not want to make her feel weak, and she had not requested his help so he refrained from offering it. His hazel eyes widened in horror as he watched her stand and try to walk, only to have her legs give out on her and she collapsed to the ground. Rushing to her side he gently wrapped his arms around her to help her stand back up.

"Maybe you should hold onto me until you get your legs back under your control," Darcy said with a light chuckle, patting her shoulder ever so gently as he helped her get her legs working properly again. Once the vampire prince was certain his lady companion no longer need his assistance at her side he lead the way from the cozy room and down the multitude of halls, they occasionally passing by a fellow vampire or human through their travel. He spoke every so often, telling the girl of a few things such as pointing out the garden that rested just outside a large floor to ceiling window they passed. The slowly setting sun made the view of the beautiful flowers all that more breath taking to him, he often a many time finding himself going into the large garden to simply admire the growing plant life. Once they reached outside he suddenly thought of how they would travel to the beach side where he and his brothers had found her as walking would take a few hours before they arrived at their destination. Horseback was fastest, but since he was unsure if the young lass knew how to ride a steed he looked over his shoulder to ask.

"Do you know how to mount a horse my lady?" Darcy was not highly surprised that she told him no. Not everyone had the luxury of having a steed to ride on to places, instead having on their feet to take them place to place. Instead of jumping to the idea of walking all the way out to the beach he decided to take her to the stables where several horses were being held, some were eating or sleeping while others simple stood in their stalls, calling out to their brethren or just stared at a wall. He did not stop at any horse in the stalls, instead he passed by all of them and exited the stable instead stop at a small open field that was dotted with a few horses. Putting two fingers on either side of his mouth he let out a loud whistle that was quickly answered by a faint neigh. It did not take long before his Arabian black stallion was heading toward him at a gallop. He looked back toward the young lady and smiled though he could see the fear in her body language.

"Don't fear them my lady. As long as you treat them right they will do the same to you," he said in an attempt to sooth her worries over the large creatures. Moments later Sabbath was at his side with his hoof pawing at the soft green grass that coated the ground beneath their feet. Smiling at the large creature that had been his friend since the stallion's birth he gently petted his toned neck. "Come, don't be shy. He likes getting attention." As the young lass made a move the stallion only watched her with his large brown eye for a brief moment before he turned his attention back to his master, bowing his head slightly to nudge at Darcy's side as the man's hand moved to comb the steed's long black mane. He let the two have a moment together, wanting the two to build some form of trust in each other before he headed toward the stable to saddle Sabbath. It took a lot of encouraging on his part but eventually he managed to convince the lass to ride with him to the beach, insisting it would be much faster.

The two rode at a slow trot through the kingdom, mostly because Darcy did not want Sabbath going to fast and lead to the lady falling off. She was already seemingly holding onto him for dear life as they rode at the pace they were going already. Soon the road opened up to large fields of grass that flowed with the wind, the scent of of the spring weather filling his lungs. It took no time at all before they turned left at a fork in the road, they soon arriving at the beach his brothers and he had found her. He slowed Sabbath to a walk before completely stopping the steed.

"This is where we found you." Darcy helped her down from the backside of Sabbath while he remained seated in the saddle, watching her as she wondered the sandy ground as she tried to gather her thoughts. It seemed only to soon the sun's last slivers of light where taken to be replaced by darkness, the only light being shinned down on them by the moon half full.

"Come, we should head back to the castle. We can always return when there is once again light. For now let us go feast, it will be time for my family to dine." Darcy could easily see that she was disappointed in the idea of already having to leave but she finally came to him, letting him help her mount before they headed back. Once they arrived back one of the stable hands took Sabbath to care for him while he lead his lady companion back into the castle he called home. As they neared the kitchen there was already voices and laughter spilling through the swinging doors and he could not help but smile as he opened the door for the human woman at his side. The voices quieted down once they entered inside but he did not think of their silence and instead went to one of the remaining empty chairs and pulled it out for her. Once she was seated he gently pushed her to the table before taking his seat at her side. Instantly the questions were being spoken all at once but soon all voices quieted till only his father spoke.

"So young lady, I have heard that you were found by my sons. It is not often we have visitors so it is a pleasure to have you. I would like to know the name of our guest though," the vampire king looked at the young lass with curious eyes. "But I'd also like to hear how my sons found you." At that statement Darcy placed an elbow on the arm of his chair, using his hand to hide his face from his father as he slide his body down his chair. His brothers had about the same look, the two trying to make themselves as little visible to their father as possible. The fact that they left the castle without guards would probably get them all a furious look from their father as well as a talk in a more private place. Since they were in company though the King could only look at his sons one at a time, assessing their guilty looks. "Well, answer your father boys."

It was Lucian that caved, he always having been the one to crumble once their mother spoke up when they got into trouble. "We found her at the beach while riding. The only reason why we had even noticed she was there was because Mall nearly trampled her, throwing Alastair off in the process." Darcy, behind the shield of his hand glared his hazel eyes at his little brother as he reached for a roll and threw it at his brunette little head. In return he had dark blue eyes glaring back at him from Luc, his little brother grabbing the tossed roll and biting down on it before sticking is tongue out at him.

"Tattle tell," he barked, a slight hint of annoyance in his voice. Luckily being the middle child he was often given the less attention when they did something troublesome. Alastair had to put up a tough front and behave the most since he was destined to take their father's place as King once he married. Lucian, being the youngest was always being scolded for something since he was indeed the baby of the family and was currently their parents prized little child. If Luc so much as got a scrap on his knee their mother was nurturing him while scolding them for letting him get hurt, even if they had not been around him at the time of gaining the injury.

"Lucian is only being truthful with his parents, something you two should start doing instead of trying to hide things." Their mother said with a frown. Their conversation was quickly placed to a stop as the waiters brought out a large helping of food of any breakfast food imaginable. Darcy quickly snatched a handful of bacon and warm cinnamon rolls, they being his favorite out of any human food. While the family begun gathering plates of food a one waiter came around them and filled the royal vampire family's glasses with fresh blood while another waiter filled the young lass' glass with water.

"Would you like anything other than water to drink my lady?" Darcy asked, suddenly thinking that she may want something more flavorful than plain water brought to them from the springs. "Whatever you want, simply tell one of the waiters and they will get it for you. Also, help yourself to the food. Eat as much as you want."

"So, do you have a name young lady?" It was their mother that asked this time but the entire family turned their eyes to her except Darcy who kept his eyes focused on his plate of food. When she answered softly that she did not remember the parents of the princes gave each other worried looks before their mother turned her pale blue orbs back onto their guest. "Well since you do not remember, and I doubt any of us would like to keep calling you young lady, is there anything you would like to go by until you regain your memory of your proper name?" Darcy would love to know the answer to that question himself as he was tired of thinking of her as simply lass or lady. Putting an actual name, even a temporary one would make him feel much more comfortable than going on with calling her what he has since she awoke.

"My name is Stella, and this is my husband Moirai. I believe Darcy has already introduced himself but our other sons are Alastair and Lucian." Their mother said, motioning to each one of them as she went on introducing everyone in hopes to make their guest a little more comfortable. When she answered Stella, saying she remembered one name... a Aquata their mother beamed. "Well then, we shall call you Aquata for now if that is alright with you my dear." Everyone around the table smiled her way, all greeting her to their home and in their own way telling her to make herself at home. After that everyone went about finishing their meal, all having little conversations of their own throughout the meal. Once Darcy was finished he excused himself for a moment and tracked down one of the maids. He requested she have a seamstress come to the room that for now was Aquata's so they could have some clothing made for her so she did not have to go about wearing used clothing for her time at the castle. Once he had that settled he returned to the dinning room to find Aquata finished what food she had put on her plate and seemed ready to take her leave.

"Would you like to accompany me on a walk in the garden or would you like me to show you around?" Darcy asked with a smile. "Or I can show you back to your room. I have asked a seamstress to come and measure you so we can have some clothes made for you to wear during your stay."

MASON BREAUX

Mason let out a slow breathe before doing it again several more times as he ran his fingers through his hair while his eyes followed the man as he walked about the room, fingers skimming over things as if learning the objects. His darkness. It was not the easiest thing to fully understand, not when just moments ago you thought there was no such thing as supernatural beings. Thinking such tales were childish stories that people made up to frighten their children into not doing what they were told. The man before him had only existed for only a short time now; in fact if he was being truthful to himself it meant that this creature formed in his home sometime between his shower and getting dressed. The idea both disturbed and intrigued him because as he thought more about this situation his breakdown in the bathroom and now feeling like a small weight had been lifted off his shoulders everything seemed to link together.

"Pyry," It was a name not common but with a man of Pyry's making it fitted to have an abnormal name. Blue eyes watched Pyry as the man lost interest in the scissors Mason had sitting on a table and instead turned his interest to a flashlight while a softly hummed song came from the man's throat. The song sounded vaguely familiar but at the moment Mason could not put a name to it or where he had heard it from. The longer he listened to Pyry hum it the stronger the sensation that he knew it grew. Before he could put a finger on the what the song was Pyry stopped humming and spoke. It did not look like he would have much need in coming up with what the man was to him. For one he did not go out often and two, even if he did go out no one would even breath in his direction, let alone ask who he was accompanied by.

"I do not go out into town often any more and a cover story won't be really necessary even if you do come with into town. No one would bother asking who you are. Not while you are around me anyways." Mason answered as he stood from the couch, his fingers entangling together as slowly approached Pyry's side. He looked outside past Pyry at the snow that littered the floor, missing the times he had with old friends out in such weather as this. He once had many friends that would come over and they would have snow ball fight or even build weird versions of a snow man before they came inside his home to warm up by a fire with hot cocoa in hand. A deep ache filled his chest at the memories but he pushed them back deep inside his mind so he could focus on his new guest.

"I don't know if you can go anywhere without me, but if you do and someone asks who you are it may be best to not say you know me, otherwise people may try to harm you or at least speak harmful things to you." Mason gave a smile to Pyry but it could easily be seen that it was one of sadness. "If you cannot leave the house without me let me know what you want to do... I wouldn't want to turn you into a hermit like I am." He gave a laugh at his words but it was weak and out of place after having gone without laughing for so long.

Walking away Mason headed into the kitchen where he begun to pull out food from the fridge to make breakfast. It was only until he begun to cook some eggs, sausage and toast that he even thought about Pyry possibly being hungry. Damn. He had gone so long without having any guest of sorts that he turned into a bad host. Even if the man was a supernatural creature that did not mean he went without eating, right? He could have at least bothered to ask if the man could eat something. What if Pyry turned to hate him, hating the fact that it was Mason who he turned to be formed from and not someone else? Great. Now he was getting a headache.

"Pyry, would you like something to eat or maybe something to drink?" There, now he wouldn't seem like he was thinking for just himself. He could do this. It may take him some time to get use to having someone around the house but it should not take to long. "I have plenty of things I could make you."
