◜ ◥ SECRETS ⇘ █ She nearly drowned as a child and has since been terrified of large bodies of water and refuses to learn to swim. Also, the whole kitsune thing.

◜ ◥ HISTORY ⇘ █ Michio Nakamura moved to America with his parents as a teen, he got a job and went to school and pretty much worked his butt off. During college, he met Tara Alberts and they began dating. Eventually they got married and for a couple years, lived on their own. When his father died, he invited his mother to come live with him and his wife. Soon enough the family was expecting a new addition and eventually Michio and Tara had a daughter. A girl they named Koyuki Blaise Nakamura. Koyuki after her paternal grandmother and Blaise after her maternal grandmother. It was a happy day for the family and both Michio and his mother knew that the child was born not a human, but a kitsune. It hardly mattered that her mother was a human, she was not half and half, aside from being half American and half Japanese, Koyuki was a kitsune, like her father before her and his mother before him.

The girl grew up with little knowledge of her abilities or what she really was. Most of her school life was uneventful, she eventually took to being called Blaise while among her friends and outside of her house because of the amount of people that had managed to pronounce Koyuki wrong. It became the name that she would have teachers call her, the name she put on tests and just generally the name she used for everything outside of home. It also kept her from being confused with her grandmother most of the time. When she was fifteen years old, only about two years ago, her parents and grandmother sat her down and explained to her what she was. They didn't want her to live in the dark, but they also wanted her to be aware of what she was and thus able to control her abilities when they surfaced, and with all the other weirdness in Beacon Hills, it was very likely that she would need to defend herself somehow. Not all hunters would ignore supernatural creatures, even those that didn't hurt anyone else.

For the most part, she was quite... shocked to say the least. It was a lot to handle, but when every time she took a picture of herself, some sort of glowing shape surrounded her, it was a little difficult not to believe it. Soon enough though, her father and grandmother were teaching her how to conceal her aura so that she could at least take family pictures and school photos without getting busted as a kitsune. Fortunately for her though, her grandmother had been friends with an emissary in the area and since his granddaughter was the local vet, Blaise managed to get a job working as a veterinary assistant, which was lovely because she liked animals and helping them. For the last two years, she's been working with the vet and learning to control her abilities as a kitsune. She can hide her aura fairly well unless she's feeling any emotion too strongly.
