Gasping for breathe, sinking deeper into the little corner between death and life. Valerie was dead, but she could never leave her unfinished life behind her. Val wasn't happy nor in content with herself. The old life left to many scars, burns and traumatic memories of unfair choices that she made. Val shouldn't have been born, why could they just have a normal boy or girl as a daughter? Did God really want a monster setting on earth? So many people hurt and disgusted with the name " De' Allen ". The name was known to be the most successful business around in the village that lived up north more from the orphanage many years ago, only now its been replaced with modern day things and only the orphanage stands by itself in the forest. Surround by the large oaks, coupled with the shrubs in directions, then finished off with flowers of certain kinds that Valerie couldn't remember anymore. The place was sealed off with a prodigious iron gate leaving a dark aura that said, " Get out now..or else " But every few times a new group sees forth the dwelling and never come back to see their families in time for dinner. So how come nobody hears the cries? Maybe because of so many trees and other natures, it can't possible be heard up to where the people can hear. But Val never could come up with a right answer, so never the less she'd just sit in the corner of the experiment room where the blood never came off or fade. Innocent children killed for the doctors own amusement. It was sicking and cruel. So just as they were going to kill one more life, Val begged for them to rip it from the hermaphrodite itself. But they didn't question nor spoke to fifteen boy or girl and just dragged her for like the rest of them. Val was the most quiet one to be butchered by them, but mostly because she was waiting for this her whole life. No one loved Val, cared , or did anything. Instead Valerie was always doing it for others. Caring for them, loving them, and just doing anything they say to get noticed for her nice ways. Looking through the window that was never washed in decades, Valerie..the ghost slowing stroked her hand down the window. Making a uneasy cat like sound from her nails. Those kids should never be here, why don't they leave the children alone? Val just hoped that her sound could be a warning to any that wished to step farther. Slowly drifting passed the walls of the room and walking slowly down the halls of the dull and grey. Halls began to fill with lyrics and humming of a little tune that any could hear if they really payed a attention but why would they want to?
Hush, little baby, don't say a word,
Papa's gonna buy you a mockingbird.
And if that mockingbird won't sing,
Papa's gonna buy you a diamond ring.
And if that diamond ring turns to brass,
Papa's gonna buy you a looking glass.
And if that looking glass gets broke,
Papa's gonna buy you a billy goat.
And if that billy goat won't pull,
Papa's gonna buy you a cart and bull.
And if that cart and bull turn over,
Papa's gonna buy you a dog named Rover.
And if that dog named Rover won't bark.
Papa's gonna buy you a horse and cart.
And if that horse and cart fall down,
You'll still be the sweetest little baby in town
