![]() ĴACЭ.............. MĄŦĦĘƜŚ Jace smiled, wrapping his arms around Lynda in a loose hug as she lay lightly on his chest. Her words wrang through his head nochalantly. Could angels go crazy? Could beings of god lose their minds? Why these thoughts had stirred, Jace didn't know. Perhaps it was because sleep was taking him as he lay there, breathing the scent of Lynda, holding her close against him as she settled down. "And I you, love. Forever and always." Jace murmered, chuckeling as she continued. It was about time the angel was getting tired. "Am I? Well good, the more comfortable I am, the longer I can hold you here." He said, grinning. Grabbing the blanket with one hand, Jace pulled it up over Lynda's shoulders. In the heat of the moment, the peice of fabric had been pushed aside, all but forgotten. "Sleep well, love." He finished. As Lynda fell asleep in his arms, Jace lost track of time. It may have been minutes, or even hours, that had passed after his angel had fallen into the world of dreams. When his thoughtful mind finally calmed, Jace felt himself slip out of reality. His dreams were vivid. Much more vivid then one would think. It was dark, and so obviously Jace was not alone. Surrounding him demons stood -to many to count. Ten. Twenty. Hell there may have even been a hundred. Each stood with a mencaing smirk on their face's, and naturally, Etienne stood in front of them all. "Hand her over, Jace." The demon yelled. And low an behold, there was Lynda, gripping Jace's hand tighter then the little creature looked capable of. But she didn't look scared. No. She looked like she wanted a fight. And Jace new he couldn't let it come to that. Couldn't let her demon side take control. All of a sudden, the dream faded, opening in a more sureal area. The park. And Lynda and himself were there again. Lynda wrapped tightly in Jace's arms, there lips about to meet. And like a bad horror movie, the angel was ripped away, pulled into a blast of light. Not darkness. Light. Like heaven itself was denying their need to be together. The dreams continued like this, some ending well. Some not so well. At some point in the night, Jace woke, confused and groggy. The dream had seemed so real. Lynda was still beside him, stil in her bed. Safe. And yet for a minute he was sure they had been back at the dance hall. Taking a deep breath and closing his eyes again, a thought wondered to Jace's head. Life was going to be difficult. The beings of hell were smart. They'd find a way to get Lynda. Where heaven simply wouldn't let them get to intimate, Hell would tear them apart for good... xXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxX My job was to find you. That job I was going to carry out. But here you are. Your not where your suposed to be. I'v fallen in love. Dammit. |

The words on the welcome sign rang through Izzie's head as she walked up the drive to her new home. A new town. A new life. Izzie thought, a slight smile playing at her lips. All her life, Izzie had been sheltered and hidden away from the real world. 'A young woman shouldn't grow up in those conditions' she was constantly reminded. For nineteen long years, she had tried to break away. Tried to live her own life. And now it was going to happen. Just before they moved, Izzie and her sisters had agreed that they were going to get out, live their lives while they still could. As the oldest, Izzie had taken it upon herself to get things going. Really, what the sisters were doing, was rebelling. 'You only live so long, gotta live while we're still alive!' Izzie had preached repeatedly to them. As she walked, Izzie glanced around her new suroundings. A pleasant neighbourhood. Or so it seemed. Looking across the street, she noticed three boys, all watching as they unloaded their stuff and moved in. "Maybe they can help us out." Izzie whispered to her younger sister, making sure her parents couldn't hear. They didn't look like particularily normal 'good guys'. Images of parties and adventures drifted into Izzie's mind as she smiled at the one apearing to be the oldest. Laughing lightly to herself, Izzie turned and walked inside her new house. It was relatively big, never having been the poorist family. Her and her sisters had grown up with the better things in life. Though many would say they were spoiled, the reality was the girls always had to earn the things they wanted. ♫♪ It's my life It's now or never I ain't gonna live forever I just want to live while I'm alive... ♪♫ |

The victorious limb, a hand nonetheless, loosened its death-drip on the silenced alarm clock. It slid along the surface of the nightstand and then plopped from the edge, only to bonk itself against the soft frame of the bed with a dull thud. A muffled groan sounded from a pile of blankets that sat atop of the mattress, followed closely by a series of undecipherable mutterings and curses. The lump in the sheets shifted and then rose slightly, only to flop back down with a squeaky bounce. Silence again filled the room and all was still in the world. Or... as still as things could get in Tokyo, Japan. I could go back to sleep... Izzie thought tiredly. The room was so silent. So peaceful... But no! Today was the day! With practice later in the night, it was time to observe the practice run area, meet Alodia at the coffee shop, and then the team. But I could sleep just a little longer.... No! Fighting the urge to plop back down among the blankets and pillows, Izzie clambered out of bed. She walked to the window, looking out over the bust city streets. Already, the sidewalks were crowded. But it wasn't to observe the city that Izzie went to the window, no. She was in search of what the day might hold. Sun? Rain? Good news? Bad? Not that it mattered. No. Izzie could race -and win- in anything. Or so she liked to believe. With not so supportive parents, and a bad attitude... well, aside from her best friend, Izzie was the only one left to be supportive. An angry flare surged through Izzie’s stomach as she backed away from the window. Her best friend. They had come to Japan together. Win the 4 mil, split it, live happily ever after... blah blah blah. The two had been placed on opposite teams. Naturally. And being on two rival teams, what were the chances of friendship staying intact? They both owed money, alot of money, so how would they ever split the reward now? Thats the thing. They wouldn't. Shaking her head in attempts to rid herself of the thoughts, Izzie made her way to the bathroom. Shower. Dress. Head out to meat Alodia, then the team. she thought repeatedly over and over. Shower. Dress. Head out to meat Alodia, then the team... A short 20 minutes later, two of her three task were complete. Rubbing a towel through her wet hair, Izzie glanced up at the mirror. Her thin frame garbed in jeens and a T-shirt. Izzie had always liked her build. She was naturally thin, long legs and arms. The fact she couldn't tan very well never bothered her. Years of work in a garage had granted her well toned muscles. She had been the envie of many girls. Of coarse, many of them didn't know what she did in her spare time. Street racing. A passion of Izzie's since she was ten. Of coarse, she hadn't actually been the driver until she was sixteen. Either way, the thrill of moving fast, wind through her hair, danger. It had always apealed to her. And now here she was. Tokyo, Japan. Racing for four million dollars... wow Hanging the towel back on the rack, Izzie ran a quck brush through her hair and made for the door. The busy streets of Tokyo met Izzie's eyes as she stepped out of the building. It didn't take her long to reach the small coffee shop she was meating Alodia at. Spotting her easily in her knee high boots, Izzie walked over, sliding in the chair opposite her. "Hey!" she said, grinning. Im drifting round the corner... Petal to the metal... Speeding faster faster... This race is mine to win... |

Jace thought tiredly. The room was so silent. So peaceful... But no! Time to get up. Gotta work. Ah the purprs of beign legal age. Work. Blah. Sighing, Jace rolled over, sitting up and gazing around the now spinning room. What did I do last night?! Jace thought, rubbing his throbbing head. At the young age of fifteen, Jace had gotten caught up with the wrong crowed. All had been fine and dandy at first, but after awhile, they started showing him some things. Some not so great things. Gradually, Jace had gotten more into it. And now, at eighteen, he was known to take a hit of something now and then. At elast, by the ones he drugged with. People such as Michelle, Jace's beloved girlfriend, never knew. Or she wasn't suposed to know anyway. Day by day, Jace was sure she was firguring it out. Shaking his head, the boy put the thoughts behind him, fumbling his way out of bed. Uhg, no way am I working today. He though sickly. It wasn't a major loss. In fact, Jace didn't particularily like his job at the local saw mill anyway. Perhaps he'd pay a visit to Michelle, it'd been a day or two since he's seen her. After what seemed like hundreds of throbbing, painful hours, Jace had succesfully gotten up, showered, dressed, and was sitting at the kitchen table, munching on a bag of Doritos. Glancing at the time, (just after noon. Wow it took him longer to get his a** outta bed then he thought,) Jace reached for the phone. Ring. Ring. Ring. Each shrill screach of a ring that peirced the boy's ears after having dialed Michelle's number was like a stab in the ribs, making him flinch each time. C'mon, pick up already! Caught up in some things... Know I gotta stop... Gotta stop before its to late... But do I really care? |
