hmmmm ~ People oftentimes call me nana-san because its the shortening of my name. Not to mention the fact that it sounds really cute and equates the number of sake glasses I can drink at a time. What can I say? I'm a party animal. Not that I like sake or anything, but when its alcohol or apple bobbing, you don't really have much of a choice. I mean, apple bobbing is boring, and how would you like a picture of yourself floating around the internet with an apple in your mouth?

My mom likes to call me mimi-chan because it's freaking cute okay? I hate it when anyone else calls me that, unless I'm really close with them. It's okay if my mom calls me that since she's been doing it ever since I was born. My closest friends can call me that too because I know they're not trying to make fun of me. My dad used to call me that, but he doesn't anymore. Actually, I don't really like talking about him that much, and it's great that he doesn't use this name anymore. It feels weird when he says it anyways.

For anyone else that I probably don't know or don't care to know, I'm that party girl. You know, the girl that other girls hate to think about because she knows how to have fun. Ehhh ~ I can't resist a good party when I hear about it. Not to mention all the nice people to dance on meet at these places. Pictures of me tend to circulate around that gets people going "what's she done this time?" I feel that it's better than being called 'what's your face' but still, sometimes having the reputation of being the absolute partier gets a little annoying.

I'm seventeen even if I do things that seventeen year olds aren't really legally supposed to do. No one's really said anything about to me so I'll just keep doing it. I'm waiting to turn legal on September 27th. It seems so far away, but I don't think it could ever be that bad waiting. It's not like I'm doing anything different when I get older.

Well, the good thing about me is that I'm a human. I'm not saying that I'm superior or whatever to the other creatures. I'm pretty that they're a lot more awesome when it comes to powers or whatever they have. However, I'm just saying that I am what I am. I'm definitely not going to surprise with another set of horns or sprout some wings or something. I am 100% person, I guess, and I'm not changing into anything else unless you don't count my pmsing mode something else.

So what to say. I have brown hair for starters. It's not dyed a weird color or anything. I like the attention, but I'm not going to get it some cheap way. I like looking clean and normal-ish when I'm walking around school or town. My hair changes lengths a lot though. I like it short in the summer and long in the winter. If anything, I'll attach some extensions in if I feel like it's too cold to be walking around with short hair. I also have brown eyes. I like to refer to them as chocolate eyes because I really like eating chocolate. My eyes are actually very warm looking, and they are kind of friendly too. I'm not trying to express my need for friendship, but I want to seem approachable. So my mouth is always in a smile. My nose is kind of small. It's not a cute button nose, but it's not huge either. I don't know, huge noses scare me off. It makes me think of runny noses, and I don't want to know how much snot can run through a huge nose.

I'm around 5'2". I'm not really that big, but you know what? I'm just fun-sized, and let me tell you how much I know about fun. Lots. I'm also on the petite size. I don't like gaining weight because it gets really awkward when your're at a party and you're bigger than two people put together. Now I don't have anything against big people, they're very warm and comfy to hug. I just don't want to be warm and comfy to hug. I go for the beauty side of things, not like I'm being shallow or anything. I just prefer to keep a normal weight please. Of course my ummmm - assets, aren't as big as other people. Petite doesn't mean big knockers all the time. Though, I just think of it as less weight for me to deal with. The good thing though is that I have pretty long legs. So I don't always look so short from the distance, even though I really am. If anything, I'll just opt for heels.

Clothing-wise, I like to wear nice clothes. I'm not going to wear something weird just because I can. I think it's cute when people try to be fashionistas, but honey, it just doesn't work that way. I tend to wear over-sized shirts, especially if I'm wearing a sweater or something. I guess it's just an asian thing. I also wear skinny jeans too. It may sound weird, but they're really comfortable. When it's cold, the tightness makes you warm. I also like to wear leggings and frilly skirts because I'm a girl . Dresses work too you know? I don't know why some girls want to be tomboys. It's all good that you don't want to look to girly, I respect that, but put a skirt on at least once in your life. Guys can't wear skirts without looking like trannies, so girls should take advantage of the fact that they look good in anything. Shoes-wise, I opt for [sneakers, flats, or heels. They're all good to me, though heels aren't something I'll wear too often.

» ambitious

Nanami lives for succeeding. If there is anything about her, it's the fact that she always wants to be at the top of any chain that she's a part of. She'll be more popular, so she'll get more friends. She wants to be the top student in the class, then she'll study for as long as it'll take. There is no method that she wouldn't use as long as no one gets hurt physically, and she'll be able to be the number one person. There is no limit to what she wants to achieve. As long as she is able to be some sort of house name, she's pretty much done what she's wanted to do. She's highly ambitious and will do a lot of things to achieve what she needs. Her role models have been the women who have achieved so much in their lifetime. It's different to be a successful woman, and she wants to be a successful woman. It's not just the power that interests her, it's the fact that people will be looking towards her. The thing is that no one in her school really realizes that she's actually a really intelligent and genius-like person. Of course, on the outside, Nanami would say that it doesn't really bother her much. She says that she's okay with the fact, but sometimes she just has to come to the fact that people don't really expect much from her and it's not really all that fair.

You got a hot party? She's there. You hanging out at the mall with all the hot item people? She's there. Beach party and parent supervision? She's there. Nanami is a self-acclaimed party girl. She lives for the adrenaline pumping through her body when she's out there on the dance floor or in a room full of loud music and people. It doesn't matter that she might not be able to study that night or her parents might be worried. When she's at a party, Nanami makes sure that she enjoys herself. It isn't so much that she's a crazy person but rather the fact that she just wants to let everything go sometimes. She likes having a good time because that's the way to enjoy life. She hates being cooped up anywhere or in a silent place because it's just so boring and stressful. She wouldn't be able to do what she wants to do, and Nanami just hates the feeling of being confined. Of course, she doesn't always have to be at a party of have a good time, though she often is. She sometimes heads to the park or the riverside to just enjoy the peace around her. It's kind of fun in a different way, kind of the type of fun that accompanies a really chill day.

Sure, she doesn't look like the type of girl to really worry about how her actions affect others. She seems to just kind of really enjoy life and do whatever she likes regardless of how she affects other people. However, Nanami has a rather big heart. As ambitious as she can get, she can't help but feel for people when they get hurt. She is unable to tolerate pain from other people, and even though she may completely right in doing something, it doesn't ease her guilty conscience. She feels as though her compassion makes her weaker than what she appears to be. As much as Nanami tries though, she can't help but feel her heart thump painfully whenever she sees someone crying or injured. In her mind, the hurting of a another person, whether she know them or not, makes everything wrong. If whatever she does involves killing or hurting people, she won't be able to hang onto it for long.

Though she isn't an overly passionate person, she is a very friendly person. Why else would she be called a social butterfly? She loves to meet new people and just learn more about them. Sure, she may forget about it in the next five minutes, but she makes the effort to care about other people. She has a ready smile on her face, regardless of whether or not she means it, and she very friendly eyes that she employs perfectly. Nanami likes to know that people enjoy being in her company, just as much as she likes being in the company of other people. She makes a good hostess for different events, and being a an easy-going appearing person who is nice comes quite naturally for her. While she can't always empathize with people, she does try to help them out. Overall, Nanami is an approachable person. She doesn't make friends or talk a lot to attract attention, contrary to popular belief. For the couple of minutes that she talks to people, she is genuinely interested in them.

Okay, sometimes she does get a little bit - witchy. She is a really nice person, most of the time. However, when she doesn't get her way, things might start to get a little ugly. Nanami never really comes out and says it since she's extremely passive aggressive. She never wants to make people think that she dislikes them even if she may hate them with all her being. However, there are little things that she might do just to tick them off. Nanami can get really manipulative when she's upset or really wants to get something done. She's passive about it though, and you wouldn't really suspect that she's the one that is doing it. However, whenever anyone makes her upset, she makes sure that they never do that again. The thing is, she never does it with an angry face. She's all smiles, and that's the unnerving part about it. She doesn't really care about what others think about her, and that makes her a little more dangerous to hang around. Of course, it's really only when she isn't completely comfortable with something or when someone has insulted her.

» once upon a time

There lived this man and this woman. Her name was Mizuki and his name was Tanaka. Initially, they didn't really know one another. Mizuki was an artist. She had a wonderful job painting murals and pretty much anything she could get her hands on. Her life revolved around creating, and though she was a nice person, nothing was really stable for her. She lived in uncertainty. One day, she could have a job and then next day, it could change completely. Tanaka was a computer engineer. He liked to tinker around with the little green things found in computer and fixing them. Actually, he was really good at fixing things in general. He didn't even have to be fixing a computer to make it work. Tanaka was one of those people naturally gifted in mending and repairing things. That was how he met Mizuki. He was mending things, and she was one of the things that really needed mending. When they both met, it wasn't fated or even special. She just bumped into him on the street because she was thoroughly upset about her life. If Mizuki wasn't worried about how she looked in public, she probably would have just broke down and started crying. Truth be told, she really didn't care what other people thought of her. She had recently lost another job, not through her own fault either, and she was extremely stressed from all the things that she had to do with little time and little money left. That bump wasn't really anything, but it really was the straw that broke the camel's back. It had reminded her of how clumsy, foolish, idiotic, and useless she had been called all her life just because she loved art more than monetary stability. Tanaka wasn't sure what was wrong, but he wanted to fix her. He wanted her to feel better because he was actually quite sensitive to upset people. It was just one of those things that he was good at. Mizuki took the help he offered gladly. At first, it was small things like helping her fix things around her apartment. He would help her look for jobs, and sometimes he would just spend time with her after a rough day. They grew to be very close friend, something that Mizuki thought was impossible to find after you were twenty. She confided pretty much everything in him, and in Tanaka, she found someone who gab with and enjoy life with.

You know those couples who look extremely cute together and are meant to be together? You know how everyone thinks that they should be together except them? Yeah, Mizuki and Tanaka were the prime examples. They acted like a married couple, but in their strange minds, it was what friends were supposed to do. It finally hit them a couple of months later that maybe they really did have something together. It was too late to say that they fell in love because they had been in love all this time, but they said it just because they wanted too. A year or so later, they got married in most extravagant and lovely wedding there could ever be. Another year later they had their one and only child, Nanami.

Nanami was a bright child. She had always been a very intelligent and precocious child. Tanaka said that she probably got it from him, and she probably got most of her genes from him. Luckily Nanami looked like her mom more, but that was pretty much it. She didn't have considerable talent in the arts, and you seriously don't want to hear her sing. However, that was okay with her. Even if she couldn't be good in those things, she regarded herself as smart enough to compensate for all her limits with her wit. Even at a young age, Nanami was always highly ambitious. It wasn't that she was trying to prove anything to anybody. She just really wanted to do well in everything. Some people knit as a hobby, and Nanami secretly challenged everybody as her hobby. It didn't really detract from her charm though. Growing up, she was a very sweet and friendly girl. She was the one always sharing her toys with the other kids, and she would try to help out people because her mom said that it was the right thing to do. She amassed a lot of friends when she was younger, and she could always be seen in the company of someone. Nanami craved the friendship and the attention. Well, she didn't really need people for the attention. What she needed them for was someone to lean on. She didn't really have really close friends even though she had a lot of them. It wasn't until she was starting school that she met the two best people that she could have ever asked for in her life, the darkroom and the lens. They had always stood out to her, and they were always there for her. To Nanami, these people were what true friends were, and she didn't really care what others thought of them.

Her childhood, aside from meeting the two people she would know for the rest of her life, was rather uneventful. That was until her father left her and her mom. Tanaka was a great dad. He was a really kind husband, and he knew how to treat people well. He was also fired from his job. People were getting laid off right to left. The company was losing money because of a failed business venture, nothing that was Tanaka's fault. However, due to the pressing decline of money, they needed to fire him. The man never really recovered from it. Although he definitely had the skill to go look for another job, the blow was more mental than physical. Tanaka couldn't handle the fact that maybe he did something wrong and that he was putting his family into a dangerous situation. His attitude and outlook slowly deteriorated his relationship with anyone he knew. True, it seems ridiculous that one instant like that could completely destroy a man, but Tanaka had never faced this before. He shouldered everything as if it was his fault and as if he deserved it. He started pushing away his wife and child. Nanami, though young, was able to understand that something was wrong. She didn't like that her father was pushing her away, since they were so close. When he just left because he just couldn't deal with anything, Nanami thought he had died. Him dying was better than him leaving her.

When her dad left, Nanami's mother gave her a locket. One that had a picture of all of them together and happy. Even as she grew older, no matter how much she said that she hated her father, she couldn't change the picture. Instead she sought out more friends and went to crazy parties to compensate for the hole that he left her. She doesn't go to parties for the attention. She just wants to have fun and forget things that make her sad. The problem is that they only disappear for a short while, and she always notices when they come back and overwhelm her. Her mother is now too busy caring for the both of them to really notice what her only daughter is doing. Nanami wants to keep it that way. She doesn't want her mother to worry about anything anymore than she already is, and she has kept all her reasonings and fears locked up and thrown away. Luckily, she still has her two best friends who she can rely on. However, she has definitely changed since her younger years. She now doesn't want people to really get to know her and what she's capable of doing. She is almost super ambitious, wanting everything more than ever. Sometimes she feels as though things may leave her if she doesn't try hard enough to hold them back. She highly doubts that people would understand that, so she just disguises and masks everything by becoming this party girl. No one even realizes that she's a million times more brilliant than they make her out to be, but she doesn't mind.

When the issues of the crystals came, Nanami was super interested. For years, she had realized that she was the descendant of some sorcerer on her mother's side. It seems the artsy ability points to magical skills. Nanami has been secretly practicing with water, something that she loves a lot. Water always has that calming effect on her, and her mother is really happy whenever they go to a lake or the beach or something like that. Not to mention the fact that her father used to go fishing with her, but that's unimportant now anyways. He's not co ming back to fish with her. Still the plan that was proposed sat well with Nanami. Power. What more could she want? That was until she started to grow a conscious about this whole issue. Was it really right, what they were doing?

She can cook pretty much anything, all you have to do is ask. It's a useful skill since her mother is a horrible cook and makes the most inedible things in the world.

Sure, Nanami likes loud stuff and partying, but there are times when reading is just a great chill out. Reading takes you to far away worlds that you can only dream about visiting. To Nanami, there are so many nooks and crannies around the world that she might never get to. She might as well pretend she can be there.

Whether it be taking pictures or looking at pictures, Nanami loves it. She's no professional photographer, and she has no idea how to make pictures look nicer than they do, but she still enjoys them. She's all for preserving memories, and what better way than to take pictures?

» No matter how much she says that she hates her dad, Nanami actually really misses him and wishes that he can come back from wherever he is. She just wants to see him appear out of the blue on the one day that she needs him the most holding his fishing gear and ready to take her out.

» Nanami also hopes that she gets a nice paying job. She has no idea what she really wants to do, but she hopes that it'll be fun and in accordance with her skill level. So maybe she could be a psychiatrist or something that seems fun.

» She is extremely afraid of drowning. It seems absolutely silly coming from a girl who is pretty much a fish in the water. However, the reason she's so good at swimming is because she nearly drowned the first time she went to the beach. It was the most horrible experience of her life. She couldn't breath and the waves kept battering her. If Nanami could pick how she would die, it would never be drowning.

Nanami has a small dagger that she usually carries around in her purse. She isn't a supremely strong person, so the dagger is perfect for her. It's extremely versatile, and it's light enough for her to carry with ease. Nanami is not an extremely fast person, but being small, she would have an easier time of getting in for close range attacks. The problem is that Nanami isn't very into physical attacks. The dagger is the only weapon that she really carries with her. Of course, she can practically use anything as a weapon if need be. She could throw books for all she cares, but the dagger is the only physical weapon that she manages well. At least it doesn't look like a dagger. Like her, the weapon itself isn't what it appears to be. She totes it around claiming that its a tube of lipstick even though she rarely wears make-up.

Since she is a sorcerer-child and thus adept at magic, Nanami carries around the locket her mother gave her. It is the item that she is able to channel her energy through and create powerful casts. It is extremely delicate though, and Nanami is extra careful when she tries out new spells. She can't help but be extremely curious about how far her limit, but the small locket hanging from a delicate gold chain nearly scares her into playing safe. She is trying very hard to work on her control since she doesn't want to destroy her only key for unleashing any magic that she may have. Not to mention that the locket is extremely precious to her, and it is the only picture that she has where her entire family was happy. One of the reasons that it is so easy to channel her powers through the locket is because she has such a deep emotional tie with it. It is her main source of offensive power since she has absolutely no luck in dealing physical damage.

♧♣〖 Powers/Techniques ! 〗▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ x ♧

Nanami, being an almost completely sea child, has extremely good control over water, and she is trying to vie for some sort of power over ice. Unfortunately, ice is currently eluding her though she can make pretty good ice cubes if that counts somewhat. One of the disclaimers to her abilities is that she can't make water magically appear out of nowhere. Just as science states that matter cannot be created or destroyed, Nanami cannot defy the laws of science and create something out of the nothing. However, with that being said, all she really needs is a tiny drop of water. It could be spit for all that matters, but she is able to multiply and expand that water droplet into something rather large. One of her abilities is water expansion. Though it sounds absolutely useless, it isn't. One of the first "spells" that she learned, this is the basis for most of her stronger attacks. Without this, Nanami would be left high and dry whenever she was somewhere far away from water.

Turning towards her main attacks, Nanami has about three abilities that she uses constantly. One is water-shaping. She can basically turn water into any type of form that she wants it in. So she can basically turn a puddle of water into a sort of rope that can constrict and drown people. Water-shaping is not difficult at all, but it requires a lot of concentration. If she is distracted even for a moment, the shape will be lost, and she'd be left with ordinary water lying at her feet. Nanami can become extremely vulnerable during this process, although she usually isn't. Water-shaping is her main offensive move that requires little energy, but it requires a lot of deft hand movements and focus. It caters to Nanami's strength in her speed. Her second attack would be bullets. A little more difficult, she basically lets loose small water droplets at a very high pressure. The speed at which she can release this droplets are enough for them to penetrate through a variety of objects, including people. This makes it very difficult to defend against, though certain metals can withstand it. However, if the droplets themselves are slowed down before reaching their targets, the water itself would become harmless and act like rain falling. Also, a disadvantage is that it is only really effective when unleashed in a large group. One stray water-bullet would rarely cause great physical damage unless it flew through a major organ or artery. Her last offensive move is the great flood. It basically is what it sounds. She is either able to get her hands on a lake or get enough time to emulsify whatever amount of water she has. This can create either a flood or tsunami that can drown people, including her if she isn't careful. However, Nanami would rarely ever use this. Though extremely powerful, it drains a lot of her energy, and she believes that she doesn't have great control over it.

There one method that she uses to create a kind of defense against her. However, water is more ideal as an offensive weapon rather than something defensive. She can construct a water-barrier between her and whatever she wants to keep out. It is a rather thick wall, though if someone really wanted to, they could try and swim through it. It's useful for keeping out physical weapons, though spells are a lot more difficult. She can also create air pockets under the water by manipulating bubbles. This enables her to breath underwater, but she can only do so if there are air bubbles wherever she is.

I love him. I love him not. I love him. I don't know. I'm so confused. He's the only guy that's really been constant in my life, but there are just some parts of him that I don't think that I could ever love. I won't deny the fact that he is one of my closest friend, but that doesn't mean that I have to love him. Even though sometimes I feel like I do. He has some really negative aspects that scare me, but I don't want to say anything because that means that I've lost faith in him. I just want everything to work out between us.

Don't laugh. She's completely my opposite and one of my two best friends. She creates this very pillar in my life. Everybody thinks that she's a jerk or someone so arrogant and lofty, but they don't know her like me. She's so quiet and relaxed. While I'm out partying, she stays inside and calms her soul. I don't know what she sees in me, but I like that she's here with me.

I don't know much about him. I just like what he's putting forth. Actually, scratch that, I had liked what he put forth. Now, I'm not so sure. I mean, yeah, he's supposed to be a spy and all, but that also points to the fact that I won't get the chance to talk to him much. I'm sure he'd be a more approachable person if his face moved. What did he do, get botox? Not to mention that I seriously think he just checks out girls all the time. I'm not sure who, but I just get that kind of vibe from him. It's nice that she likes to talk, but could she please talk about something other than herself? She just - ughhh. I'm a friendly person, I swear, but when I see her.
