Marley Sunshine Davidson
Gotta dance like a fool
Got the message that I gotta be
A wild one
Ooh yeah Im a wild one

'knock... knock... knock.' A cabbage turned over in the linen sheets, desperate to continue it's planned sleep. Another loud, 'KNOCK KNOCK' and a muffled urging and light tan arm emerged under the bright red sheets. The cabbage patch hung low over a young girls face as Marley Sunshine began to stir. She slowly lifted her hand to the window sill above her bed sleepy as could be. She lifted the curtains to see the bright daylight outside and her stunning sea-green eyes squinted as her other hand pulled back her hair. A young face was revealed taking in the bright light, pupils shrinking and adjusting. Small bags were beginning to make themselves known. Marley had stayed up all night, far to excited to sleep the night before. What had she been excited about? Her new friend of course! The sound of the door opening broke Marley's train of thought. The short kneeling girl spun around fast to see her father impatiently tapping his foot. Her hairy arms crossed staring down at her daughter, whom looked impossibly small in comparison.

User ImageShe pouted lightly and the silent man that was her father shook his head back and forth and rolled his eyes stepping back towards the hall and grunting out a, "Don;t blame me when your late." Marely scoffed blowing one of her stray hairs from her eyes. she glanced over at the clock. She had an hour to get tothe professors... maybe if she slept for just a little longer. Her eyes drooped and her body swayed wanting nothing more hen to fall and curl back into the warmth of her blankets. 'NO!'She jumped back so that she would land on her feet and collected her laundry she had folded the night before running to put it with her stuff at the door. She made sure to stick her tongue out at her dad as she dashed by him. Sure she could walk and act normal, but where was the fun in that. She was excited going to the professors. She was getting her very own Pokemon today. She had debated long andhard for the last few weeks and had finally decided on one of the starters that Oak could offer her. She would need to be there early to make sure she got it though. She entered the bathroom door shutting it behind her she was quick to pull off her jiggly-puff PJs. She through them in the hamper and clamped into the shower.

Her whole routine took ten minutes as she dished through it all. She then took her time in front of the mirror twisting out her curls with her fingers to pray that they would shape properly when they dried. She pulled and pinned her bangs so they would be forced strait. She had practiced for a whole month to get her hair to behave without her blow drier and straightener, both gifts from her father that wouldn't work if she was stuck out in the forest. She was bringing them with her but... She had to be prepared for the worst.

She collected her bathroom supplies and jewelery leaving them in a small pile as she dressed in her room across the hallway. She was quick to throw on a teal shirt and light blue denim capris. She put on her red and teal belt tight on her waist. She then headed out to grab the stuff from the bathroom bringing them to the doorway to continue packing her bag. Her father quietly worked in the kitchen as she compacted two other outfits, her PJs and a book into the main pocket of her bag. She then opened the back flap to fit in her electronics. there was a space for her straightener and curler duo, her phone and one other electronic device could fit there. That side would go against her body so it didn;t look bulky. Lastly so opened up the small front pocket, putting in a few necklaces and earings and her black small wallet that help a wallet photo of Marley, and her parents on one side and her meager 100p... hey, wait there was a lot more money in there. She turned to the kitchen and bounded toward her dad swooping him up in a big hug from behind. "You didn't have too!" but she was thankful for it she was poor as could be, she had counted a now 4000p in her bag her dad was such a sweet heart.

Her father shrugged then pulled her arms off of him and turned around to face his daughter "It's no problem Sunny..." he paused for a second sighing as he bent slightly to look into his daughter bright teal eyes"Now you listen Marley. It's a big world out there and I want you to promise me you'll be careful. Take care fo your Pokemon and remember you can always come home. His Teal eyes matched hers in hue but they looked worried and perhaps a bit lonely and sad, he was losing his other girl. Marley hugged her dad tightly around the shoulders.

"I'll be ok daddy, and I know." It was a silent moment of sadness, excitement and love whirred into one and then Mr.Davidson released his daughter, his short brown five o=clock shaddow scratched her cheek as they parted. He rubbed his short brown hair.

"Now get gone!" Marley nodded excitedly. She swung around her pack and slipped on her shoes and arm bands stopping only to give a quick kiss to her dad and to grab the bagel he was holding out for her, cinnamon raisin and cream cheese, warm from the toaster. Her favorite. She then headed out the door and into the big world.

Marley held onto the strap of her pack loosely as she jogged excitedly towards the lab. She wasn't running late yet, but she wouldn't be early a this pace. She was singing to herself as she jogged. Her singing sounded more like erratic dos and dahs, with some odd noises thrown in for fun, not to mention the spins, kicks, punches, jump and moves that she called 'dancing'. She finally reached the bottom of the hill that lead to the lab and she calmed for a split second to look up at the tall lab. She wan;t too far but she only had another two minutes before she could be considered late so she quickly started to clamper up the hill side holding the strap more firmly so that it would stop the pack from hitting her again and again. Once she reached the top she knocked the door and waited for an answer. whilst she waited her eyes wondered to the Pokemon that were around Professor Oak's lab, she was tempted to go see them but she resisted and soon the door opened to reveal one of Professor Oak's helpers.

She followed the young woman walking past another boy that at a Squirtle at his feet. Good thing Squirtle wasn't the one she wanted anyways. She did a little dance of triumph as they walked by jutting out her lips and pumping his fists trying to pivot while she walked. She smiled and then decided to congratulate the other boy. Just as she was about to speak up she heard the 'squirtle' say 'thquirtle' she had to stop walking all together which made The assistant stop and look at her. She watched it put on the pink sunglasses and Marley nearly shrieked with enjoyment. "That's so awesome, I love your glasses Squirtle." She looked to the trainer rather then the Pokemon. "Your so lucky, he's soooooooo cute!"She smiled widely and headed out again in a march like fashion.

"Here you are Mam." He cracked his teeth as wide open as possible. His cheeks dimpling around them making his entire face wrinkle. it was an imperfect smile, his teeth were stained a shade of off white and didn't look all too impressive. It didn't help that the old hags order was ten minutes late. She huffed at him and grabbed the white paper bag rudely from his hands, walking out in a huff. He was only a little disorganized. He sighed running dry hands through his sandy brown hair and headed to the next customer. He had just gotten this job and already he was royally screwing it up. He didn’t want to work but at the same time he did.

He had gotten the job from his other sister. A job at a flower store great. He was good with potting and flowers, his sister agreed but that wasn’t the reason he had taken the job. Recently he had gotten to talking with the angels... maybe he was slowly becoming part of the group... maybe. He did hang out there but that didn’t mean much right? Alright so he had joined their cause, but he didn’t want anyone to know yet, especially not his father, so having this job would keep his dad’s mind else where and it would make him a little less suspicious. Not only was his dad suspicious of what he did on his spare time but the ‘government’ would be too; not that there was anything serious wrong with their government. He smiled to himself as he walked to one of the displays of flowers, after helping a young man pick out a bouquet for his girlfriend.

He went to shift some of the flowers around and they did it again. They swayed to his touch and the dirt seemed to shift even before he touched it. He retracted his hand fast as if it had been burnt Holding on to the black apron that they always made him wear... that was another reason he had gone to the angels, apparently there were other people like him. Special people, he had never cared that much but lately the little things that he could do... they were getting weirder and he wanted them to stop before someone else noticed.

He had started learning about some of the rumours going around their city. He was starting to worry less and less about his dad’s worrying and more about himself. This power couldn’t be good. When his sister tapped him on a tense shoulder he jumped a good foot. Bright green-blue eyes snapped to his sisters quieted face. She looked surprised and apologized for startling him “Sorry about that... I’m just out of it today.” she laughed at him. She always laughed. He had only been working for a week but he still felt like such a n00b.

He looked towards the time and found out that had gotten off about ten minutes about and gave a sheepish grin to his sister and she only shook her head as he headed to the staff room to get changed out of his work clothes. It was getting a little late but nothing to worry about. When he got outside he noticed that it was raining. He sighed for the hundredth time that night and pulled the hood of his green hoody up over his head. Burying his dirty fingernails into his front pocket as he dashed out into the rain. His nike sneakers splashing in the puddles, he left his unbrella there for his sister to use.

As we fall in line

theres no way we could know
Anything that’s goin down
Or how were supposed to be feeling about it
I cant tell you how much I wish we could shut up and smile, yeah

Sail around the world and tell them all to keep singing it
la la la la la la
all we needs a harmony and we’ll convince the world to sing
la la la la la la
throw your arms around someone
maybe spread a little love
I know it sounds a little dumb
But all we need is some ice cream and a hug

Take a good look around
Does life really suck
Are we just complaining
I hope that this mic is on
Cuz im on a roll here
I hope this is making some sense
I hope that you’ll throw up your hands and sing it
And tell all the haters that they should just shut up and smile, yeah

Micah had as always disappeared into the background on the train. Something he was good it. It's not that he blended in, considering his height and skin color it was just because everyone was so familiar with him that barely a head turned. He was a comfortable presence among the student body. The only ones that called out to him were the ones he was closer with. his own house and his brother's friends. Other then that he tended to watch over everyone silently. A good listener so to speak... or not to in this case. He had roamed the hallways of the train advising some of the younger students to get changed for school and telling some of the older ones to leave the freshmen alone. Another days work. the same stuff he had done since third year, since he had gotten taller and believed in liberating the weenies of Hogwarts. He never yelled but most people liked Micah so they listened... sometimes. His head boy badge was a formidable accessory however; it promised point deductions.

When the train finally began to slow down Micah waited behind the rush of students to make sure the first years knew where to go. He was sweet like that. After nearly everyone was off the train he got off as well greeting the teacher that would be transporting the first years across the lake. He was a teacher favorite, he had never tried to be but his good grades and respectable attitude had earned him some favoritism, that was probably the reason for his being elected as head boy. So caught up in his conversation had had nearly missed the Carriages all together and had o sit with a few other kids from his house that he wasn't particularly close with as apposed to some of his 'friends'.

When they did get to the school he hadn't said much of anything. He was too busy pretending that he was on solid ground and not air born. He would have preferred walking... or the lake even. then again that was humiliating. Being with all those first years.. that wasn't happening. When they did get to the school he was the first to get out of the carriage holding the carriage door open for the other hufflepuffs, one of them chuckled about him being a butler but he told them that being nice pays off.

When he made his way into the school he noticed some sort of drama going on. their always was. Some third years acting like idiots again he rolled his eyes just simply passing by a little too close for their comfort they broke it up and headed inside for good. Kids were too cocky these days he had never been like that... then again was that a good thing? He didn't really care he more cared about getting seated. After all he was a growing boy and he could feel that the chocolate frog was no longer preoccupying his stomach. He stomach gurgled and flipped for more food. When he entered the great hall he was greeted once again with a beautiful magic display, one that first years were awed by every year and secretly Micah still enjoyed them too.

From the floating candles that hung above them all to the beautifully echoed sky imprinted on the ceiling he really did love the magic that surrounded this place. His home was nice and humble but this place was much more then that. He could see that most of the second years were still bent on breaking their necks whilst looking toward the stars in the ceiling where as most third and fourth years tried not to get caught looking upwards at the spectacle, it wasn't cool right? Micah was a seventh year now but he still admitted that it was breathtaking to walk away from the norm and into the extraordinary. The teachers were lined up against the wall as usual looking down to the student he only barely gazed over them. One teacher was missing to escort the little ones. Micah was one of the earlier seventh years at the table most preferred to stand and chat for a little longer but Micah was as usual cut off from most of the social gathering.

He preferred to sit down rather then run around like some of the other headless chickens. Though it was nice to see that most people were standing u so that they could talk to people from other houses. House unity was what most teachers wanted, it they had a lot of it now a days... still a few that lingered in house pride though. All houses were equal simple as that.

However as the minutes moved on his table became more and more populated and he was joined by some of his friends. Once most of the kids were seated the first years were herded in. Many heads went strait up while others gawked at all the older students even more looked down at the ground. How great it would be to be that young and innocent again. They were all called up one by one and put into their houses, some shouted some were debated over by the hat but finally all the kids and nervously bolted to the end of each table, sticking together like little packs. It was cute admittedly, had he been that vulnerable back then? Yeah. Some of the kids look disappointed with the name that the hat called out others were overjoyed to be united with siblings or friends. Micah's brother had looked at Micah helplessly last year when he had been sorted into griffindor, it was nice to have an older sibling show you the ropes but Miles had been shocked that he was 'braver' then his brother, then again it was sort of obvious looking at the two of them.

Once the sorting was done the headmistress stood up and delivered her little speech that consisted of one or two big rules, the rest were left up to the general knowledge of the students, the obvious stuff like dress code anyways. With a wave of the headmistresses arms there was food mountains off it and Micah greedily dove it. Yes home cooking was good and fair, he was good at it but damn the house elves could cook, better then his dad and brother at least. Little gasps came from the first years when the food appeared making Micah chuckle at their expense.

Adolf watched her puzzlement at his words feeling bad for a moment had he said the wrong thing? He really hated that french eluded him, surely being a man of travel he should have picked up some language skills. He had been to France before but his older siblings had always been able to translate for him, he had never had to worry before this. Even after the apocalypse he had mostly met people that spoke English, after all is was the more universal language, that and Mandarin but he didn’t know that language either. Really, Adolf was just hopeless. He was still watching the puzzled look on Chloe’s face, puzzled and distressed was a little better then absolute panic, finally she seemed to understand because she took a shaky breath in and out. At least that was good, shaky but better then nothing. He kept allowing his eyes to dart around is if the girl would suddenly appear.

He knew how the woman felt. The terrible tots he had taken in had been scarce for a while after he started living with him. They seemed a little nervous around them so they stayed away and one day even went down to the store without asking, they gave their uncle a heart attack when he served dinner and they didn’t meekly come out of their rooms. He had been frantic until a few minutes later an older Mackenzie came home dragging her little sister behind her. That was the first fight they had and the first real talk to. The girls never went out again without permission or without Adolf holding Marly’s hand either.

When the woman grabbed his hand he squeezed back trying further to comfort her but his eyes were still else where he listened to her attempt to explain things to him, he felt a little childish that they had to use small words but it wasn’t their fault he could barely understand her and she could barely understand him. He looked back at her as she pointed east and he looked that way hoping to see a clue, footprints maybe, anything really and then suddenly she brought him back to attention as she began excitingly pointing in one direction he nodded dumbly. He couldn’t understand her very well but he knew well enough that she wanted to go over there.

When she tugged on his arm and moved excitedly he complied without much resistance a little shock maybe but not much resistance. He let himself be lead up the hill and towards where Chloe thought her daughter must be. And soon they were climbing the grassy slope, grass was really nice he tried not to stumble as he followed the slightly shorter girl... since he would have probably landed on her. When they finally reached up he saw what was at the bottom of the hill and not so far away from them. The little brown haired girl stood at the bottom of the hill not to far from where they had been previously still innocently allowing her doll to be dragged in the dirt but she wasn’t alone. Another boy stood over her now, a boy that Adolf didn’t know and that could never be good.

You would think that after the apocalypse finding other life was a good thing right? Not always too many times he had been crossed by seemingly innocent people, after all they were all out for one thing: survival. There was no telling what someone would do if they were starving or hurt and the kids clothes looked pretty baggy on him, who knows how skinny he was getting. So Adolf did the only logical thing he could think of; he pulled out his revolver and aimed it strait at the newcomers head. “Back away from the girl” If he complied then goody, goody gumdrops for this kid but if he chose not to... He really hated to scare a kid in the process but really who knows these days?

while Joshua walked towards him, his lips moving to speak to him Adolf refused to move much, he still had the weapon wielded and he watched Joshua suspiciously but said nothing his eyes unwavering as he explained about the animals. Adolf wasn't scared of the animals, he wasn't some tough guy that faked a no fear act he simply knew that he had various guns and the animals didn't, maybe that was a little overconfident or cocky but heck why not have confidence? Better then having self-doubt or giving up early.

He still watched the other come closer the pretty little girl hidden behind his legs.suiting for a small child what an overachiever though. Adolf almost felt insulted as if he'd shoot his gun anywhere near the child, He'd aim for this kid's head, Veronique would be scared but she wouldn't be physically hurt. As Joshua finally reached them Adolf raised his chin if only slightly he wasn't going to shoot the kid but he wasn't going to look like a push over either. Finally Veronique ran to her mother and Adolf relaxed a little as the women embraced... or at laast the one woman embraced the small girl. He let his eyes stray for a moment a ghost of a smile appeared even in the tense moment and before he could actually turn his head he felt a touch on his sleeve and he turned his full attention back to the newcomer.

The touch to his sleeve almost made Adolf flinch but he resisted the gut urge and instead pulled his hand away slowly relaxing the gun as well as he looked at Joshua oddly, his mind was wondering over all the new names, were these the people they had suspected before? How many others were there in total, were they good or bad? He was suddenly worried for his own group, competition was nothing that he liked and he didn't like the idea of a fight despite his courageous front however he soon learned that he no longer needed to be the offensive one here he actually did flinch when Chloe took the more aggressive position turning on their newcomer.

He actually wheeled around to watch the frustrated woman have her outburst. at first he found it comical The small woman that had been panicking only moments before was now baring down on the unsuspecting newcomer, she even packed a slap into her outburst. A slap on the wrist much like the ones he would get as a child, but his badly concealed glee in seeing the other man get yelled at dispersed suddenly as he began to understand how much of an emotional toll this whole ordeal must have taken on the doctor. Veronique seemed to understand too. Adolf watched the small hand reach up and cover her mothers mouth. Children would never cease to amaze Adolf, he gave a sadder smile to the pair.

He had to smirk a little though at the sound of retreating steps coming from Joshua, Adolf took one or two steps closer to the two females from his group and watched Joshua again his eyebrow raising as Joshua attempted to explain. Adolf doubted that this kid had come out here with the pure intention to kidnap Chloe's child, and give her back in order to gain their trust but damn it was getting entertaining to watch. Like going to the movies, if only it were true and they could just turn the movie off and go home. This wasn't a movie but Adolf was able to see some humor in it. He did listen to Joshua with a clear head though looking at him honestly and he actually thought over his offer.

They didn't need the food or shelter they had their own place back with everyone else and they had been gone for a long time. He wanted to head back and check on DJ and get back to Jaspen but they ha come out here for a reason. "We don;t need much... but do you happen to have a first aide kit lying around that we might have..." He thought about asking for car parts too but then again he didn't want to give out too much information to this guy, after all he didn't need to know that he, Chloe and Veronique weren't actually alone, and he didn't need to know that they were more then capable of taking care of themselves. "Just in case we run into any of those animals after all" He tried to make his smile look honest but he knew that he was failing. Not that Joshua's concern wasn't heartwarming... he could barely think that without laughing, but really he just wasn't scared. After all mother nature had already been thrown to smithereens, he felt like saying 'bring it'.

As the wind blew a hand moved across lined paper, dark eyes followed along the paper, watching as the curves formed words and letters, sentences and paragraphs, she wasn't the brightest woman in the world and she hadn't had much schooling but she knew how to write and spell most of her thoughts, her parents had thankfully taught her that much. It didn't ave too much use in this world, but it helped make sense of everything. Anya was keeping a diary, in hopes that even if their little trio accomplished nothing then at least someone might remember them from reading her notes.

Day, 1, 851. Morning.

We have stopped traveling for the time being, it would appear that we've found a rest point. The area looks habitable and I have yet to see any signs of danger, but that could change. My companions have both left my side... I believe Quinn has gone to hunt... I would be out there helping him but I really can' stand to hear the pain an animal must go through, not that it isn;t nessassary, survival of the fittest and all that but none the less, Quinn is a much braver man then I... I'm a woman of course.

This land is a little less barren then the ones we have passed but who knows if we'll stay here, I don't feel quite at ease yet then again I haven't felt at ease for five years so who am I to judge... perhaps we'll have a vote but still if it looks dangerous I'll just keep us moving, not that I intend to order them around, it just happens. The sun is getting high in the sky, it much be coming to midday, I am getting hungry perhaps I should find my companions. It's never good to be separated for too long.

I have to wonder where Sashi has gotten off too. The girl is too quiet for her own good and it's easy to loose track of her. She's so much younger then me, I feel like I have to help her... then again she's so much quieter too, it's hard to aide the silent. None the less, she's easier to spot then Quinn, I must be the easiest to spot out of all three of us. Ialso must be the loudest... maybe that's why I'm in charge, or just because I'm bossy... either way. It works for me.

She sighed clipping the pen on the paper she had just finished off. She never wrote much a quick paragraph every so often. no one had taught her how to write an autobiography or anything of that sort so she write when ever she felt like it. It usually put her at ease. It was the first thing she did every morning and the last thing she did before going to bed. She folded the little note book back up and stuffed it inside the messenger bag she had found a week ago. In the bag were a few pieces of raw food, a water canteen and the little book. It was all she really needed to keep herself going.

Finally she stood up brushing some of the dirt of her stained jean shorts. The shorts were a little too small during the cold nights but they provided optimum mobility and durability, not to mention they were cute to boot. Not that there was anyone left to impress, no lights to preform under but still it didn't hurt to feel good about yourself. Her knees were in dire need of moisturizer but it wasn't a necessity She pulled the tangling black hair out of her face, it was crudely cut and fell unevenly but she kept it short enough so that it wouldn't be a bother no matter how messy it got. After fixing his stained shirt she began headed to the tallest hill she could find. She wouldn't wander far, her companions knew to come back to here and it would be pointless to have all three of them lost and searching for each other.

The hill wasn't far though and perhaps see could see someone from there. Her legs worked automatically, no matter how tired they were. They were long and muscled now, They were perfect for the trapeze acts but now were made to walk and run for miles at length and her thin flats had once suited as graceful footwear for the ring, they were now dirty and muddy but had proven more durable then expected. Anya had held on to anything she could from the past. The picture of her lion was folded between the pages of her note book, and most of her clothes were still from that time as well, not really but they reminded her of those clothes from the past. She had worn out a hundred shirts already, finding new ones when they found houses... she could do to replace her current one as well but she wasn't one to think ahead, she never carried more then what she needed. Why take the extra baggage.

The hill had grass covering it, along with the many different little flowers. Anya liked flowers but she didn't dare touch any of them, she had learned the lard way that some flowers weren't good to touch and she didn't know anything about plants herself so... better safe then sorry. The dirt covering her nose and clothes did serve some purpose, it hid some of her scent, granted it probably didn't do much, it was enough that she felt a little safer on her own.

Simon ρєтєя Carman ραη Lee

Cafe mocha, if only. People could only dream of seeing coffee shops running, people drinking in calm silence, anything would be better then this. A waste land by any definition, the desolate streets were littering in blood stains, garbage and broken dreams. There was nothing left for the country of promise., the American dream was a joke, you had to accept that. Mocha cafes were out of the question all the remained were the restlessly still mocha eyes. Said mocha eyes were currently scanning around for any land mark that they could recognize, anything to tell him where he was. It didn't really matter what town they were in, even if they knew it wouldn't do anything for them. Everyone else was gone, probably, no matter where they went they wouldn't be saved. Morbid, to say the least, but true.

Enough of that Mocha stillness as brought to light at the sound of a cat, Simon could barely turn his eyes in fondness before hearing the sound of a bullet as the cat's nine lives ran out. Anger shot through the eyes but he was never one to start a conflict especially with one, Grant Guns. A miracle. a survivor like them now lay dead on the black top Simon felt compelled to say something but didn't. He hated the destruction of life but what was one more to the body count that was growing daily. These people were all the life that surrounded him; they would be the death of him. He once again perked his eyes towards the sound of Jin's voice. He had to comment. Though Simon wouldn't miss it, he had to smirk at that something as small as a cat couldn't be scary, then again someone so enamored with guns had to be scared of something weird. He found no humor in his own fears but only in the pointless fears of others. Simon feared nothing pointless. He feared planes, that was definitely worth something now.

Simon rolled his eyes upward unnoticed just before that feeling came again. He would never get used to that sound. the sound of an airplane engine. He had ignored it that long time ago, now he heard it again He never looked up when he heard it, never would. He didn't the first day it came and he would hate to now, to see it is to accept that it's there. No matter how childish it was he didn't want to see the planes. He grabbed the white face cover from it's place on his back. The strings were around his neck but he often let the actual guard fall backwards to rest on his back. He spun around both the flimsy elastic strings and the white half sphere to cover his mouth and nose. Doctors wore them, they were the flimsiest things but they made him feel a little more secure. if they were good enough for doctors they would be good enough for him. Simon was one of the 'lucky' ones. He was immune, he had the privilege of living a little longer, goody, goody gum drops. He slowly closed his eyes listening, almost able to hear as the haze hit the ground. Screams always reined out. Even now when they thought everyone was gone. There went a chance to meet with civilization.

When the gas finally began to dissipate Simon removed his vice and let it fall around his neck again. Spinning it around behind him out of habit. As the dust settled he heard another voice. Jin could always break the silence. He paled slightly at the joke though. It was funny if not a little disturbing. Thank god they had food he would never want to see Grant, or Jin or anyone as Cannibals. Speaking of which another member of their little group decided to speak up in the dying purple air, perhaps it was a little surreal, to Simon it was deadly and post apocalyptic but surreal was a good word too. He snickered under his breath, not at Jin's joke but at the reality of the situation.

Simon finally relaxed though brushing a hand through his unruly hair and rolling back on his heels as if it relieved the tension in his body. He ignored yet another morbid comment. he was usually so talkative but now he was starting to become more silent, but noticing the lack of gas masks... "You know you guys should be wearing something over your faces... only only to stop some of the side affects. He wouldn't point out any in particular. Some habits never die. he was nag but he wanted everyone here to survive at least they couldn't die before him, because if it came down to Simon the government would never get theirs. He was probably going to get some negative comment back. He always did but he couldn't help but worry each and every time. Maybe they couldn't have prepared but now they could at least guard themselves.

Time doesn't wait,
Wait for no man.
So get on with it.
There's no escape,
Try if you can.
And, oh, this world is crazy.
And, oh, it blows my mind.
Oh, it seems like everybody's rushing,
Just to get to the back of the line.

Sheets shuffled loudly underneath the morning sun. A grown could be heard from yellow sheets as the they moved and crumpled under the weight of the waking teen. Finally they dropped the load they had been carrying, as the young man dropped to the floor of his room. Micah Edward Smith shook out his head and scratched his chest groggily. It was early but Micah couldn't go back to be now... he had something to do today, what was it again? OH. Quickly Micah bolted to his feet holding his hair back from his eyes as he raced towards the bathroom before. The door slammed just as he got there nearly hitting Micah in the nose. "Aw come on Myles." He could hear the shower turn on as his brother drowned him out with the shower. Last one to get to the washroom made breakfast. Micah sighed pulling his hair back as best as he could before walking down the hallway defeated.

As he walked down the brown colored hallway he passed by countless family pictures of him, his brother and their dad. It was an all male household, weather that was a bad thing Micah wasn't sure. He pretty much acted like the mom around the house. Making breakfast nearly every morning... even when He did make it first. He walked down the large stair case and looked to the clock on the wall. It was around five in the morning, it was a Smith habit to wake up with the sun. He headed for the kitchen to make breakfast still standing shirtless only in loose fitting pants that he had gone to bed with the night before. He scratched at unmanageable hair. looking at the calender on the fridge. He wasn't really muggle born but sometimes he felt like he was. His father was obsessed with 'keeping it simple' More or less he was obsessed with relaxing and reading his paper in the morning, and since his kids hadn't been of age to use magic he had bought muggle appliances to make Micah's life 'easier' ha. He sighed happy to be of age now.

With a quick hand he pulled his wand out of his pocket and turned on the lights while his dark eyes were still directed at the calender, trying to remember what day of the week it was. He realized quickly that today was the day that him and Miles would be going back to school. Damn. He turned his full attention to making the kitchen cook it's self some breakfast for the three of them before he ran back up the stairs nearly tripping twice on the way up. His brother was already walking out of the bathroom with a towel around his shoulders. He was after all a boy. He barely knew what the word clean was. "Hey wheres the fire bro?" His brother barely had time to say the words before his brother moved past him into the bathroom.

Before the door closed he looked back at his younger brother. "Hurry up, we're going back to hogwarts today make sure your stuff is packed, and go finish up breakfast." The door closed after that and Myles stood in the hallway with his eyebrow raised.

"I thought you already knew that..." He shrugged continuing his meandering pace. Meanwhile Micah got showered and tried to tame his crazy hair-do, retreating to his room when he was finished and gathering an outfit that looked good. He already had his bag packed. He grabbed the small transport cage for his rat putting Jasper inside. He protested but too bad really. He then headed back out of his room wearing a button up white shirt and beige trousers. He would be changing on the train anyways. It was just passed six when he got down stairs again piling his and Myles' bags at the door. He was happy to smell breakfast unburnt. His brother finished setting the table. their dad was sitting down now too paper in hand, the pictures moved across the back of the page one the articles read 'Back to school' Micah rolled his eyes. It wasn't as if he and Myles couldn't do it on their own, it was just annoying when he was so passive about it.

After eating a quick meal while discussing what they were going to do when they got to the station among other things they grabbed their bags. Their father finally folding his paper mutely and got up to see them off. "Alright lets get going. Please keep all arms and legs inside the ride at all times and don't fall on your a** this time Micah." Last year he had drove them too the station same as Micah on his first year so that they could find the platform. however now that they both knew where it was they could just aparate there. Micah too his credit had stayed on his feet two years ago, but usually when the aparated he fell back on his a** or onto someone else. He hadn't learned to aparate himself yet... didn't much like the feeling anyways. he was happy he only had to do it twice a year. Before he could protest against his dad their was a pulling feeling on his midriff and then a sound like a pop and instantly they appeared. Just in time for the train as usual. They were punctual getting up because no matter what Smiths did they always seemed to be late, this way they were just in time. Rather then missing the train all together.

They both gave their dad a hug before taking their large bags and heading for the train quickly. He waved to them still passively one hand in his pocket. The other now raised the wave them off before he turned around and aparated back out. The two brother got on the train at a bit of a run. not because they were that late because the brothers raced for everything. Micah won though laughing at his brother as he tried not to sulk. They waved to several people. Both of the their friends Micah had a hundred and one people to wave too. Everyone knew him and he knew just about everybody but he didn't talk close with many of them opting to stick with his brother until he got to the prefects compartment. This suited his brother just fine, even though it was his second year he was still a little nervous about the whole thing. Myles only had a few people to wave too but he was looking for his good friends. He had picked up some habits from his brother. they were both quiet which meant that Myles hadn't gotten that many friends in his year there. Quietly sitting in the middle of the class always on his own.

Micah wasn't much better but at least everyone knew his name. He had a few friends but nothing you could call close. He was really only 'close' with his brother. He had friends just not close close ones. He was one of those guys that liked everybody and he just stayed out of most big things because that was his nature because often a time if you get a tight nit group you often get tight nit enemies.

The two got onto the train and walked down passed the compartments. Weaving, waving and greeting people as they went. Last year Micah had walked Myles to an empty compartment and helped him out this year Myles was determined to do it on his own so after they got changed and put their things away Myles helped Micah find the prefects compartment and said good bye to him. Myles ran off with one his friends and Micah opened the compartment door to see his fellow V.I.P.s He put up his hand as a little wave on the side. He was never the talkative one so he didn't really know what to say her either. so just a quiet wave would do as he slid into a seat beside Alessandra, she was head girl, and he was head boy so it seemed like an alright idea. It didn't look like the seat was taken anyways. "hey Alessandra, have a good summer?" He had just missed the phoenix fly by and had interrupted her stare out the window instead. It was a normal question considering it was their first day back.

ʗheers and screams erupted in the streets. The towns folk were gathered together to watch the show. It was no secret that the strolling players were in town, the fire enchantress spun her batons pausing only to throw them up in the air and cast a great fire ring around herself. It was stunning show to behold. Not too far down the line a far-seer told the future to a young girl, promising her great obstacles and a happily ever after in exchange for some coin. In the background their manager watched making sure that all of his troupe brought in customers, and most importantly money. He wasn’t the only one after the crowds wallets.

The crowds gaze turned to the sky as the flames erupted from the magic casters throat sending the image of a dragon bounding across the twilight, it’s wing span towering across and above the city. Mathias wasn’t drawn in by the spectacle. Like others hidden among the crowd he was after only one thing The big purses hung off the sides of rich lazy merchants and citizens of the town. He was a sort of traveller too, the only difference from him and troupe was that he was often a much better runner.

Being human he had no special talent that could wow a crowd into throwing money at his feet, he had very little magic and he didn’t work; why get your hands dirty in a mill when stealing is so much easier? He was mixed in with the crowd, the many different races all standing about, he dodged the beat of a man’s wings as the crowd once again got excited. The fae moved about above there heads, landing where ever they pleased, weather it be on his head or not. He didn’t shoo them away though, best not to draw attention to himself. He was good at being quiet, learning that being quiet was key to making a living.

Mathias’ eyes wondered to his left a young elf woman had her hands drawn toward her mouth in obvious amazement, his eyes draw to her waist there in a draw string was a beautiful thing; a large bag full of coin. It was really a gorgeous thing. Despite his attitude, Mathias was far from the wrong doer... he just did what he had to in order to survive. Without a second thought his hand skilfully pulled a just the right place and he inconspicuously made his way back from the crowd.

For an instant the quick little elf didn’t notice that her daddy’s money had gone missed and Mathias cheered inwardly however it was short lived just as he got out of the ring of people an angry shriek could be heard much different from her joyous calls only moments ago. Before Mathias could blink she had a good five people after him... too bad Mathias hadn’t noted all of the girl’s friends. He frowned and took off running, he darted through the heavily bunched crowds easily using his speed and agility to get where he needed to go, but the elves were just as quick. Why hadn’t he found another human to steal from? Oh that’s right, Mathias was human, he would never steal from his own race.

Darting down a back ally he was met with another crowd on the other side, this crowd was different from the first. This crowd wasn;t watching the show, they were discussing something much more imprtant but how was Mathias suppose to know that? He knocked right into the man that had been talking moments ago nearly knocking him over and before he culd dart down the next ally hoping to thwart his presuers, the man grabbed him round the waist holding him from moving "Hey slow down what's the rush?" Damn this stupid curious man, before Mathias could even fathom a response screams of 'there he is' and 'get him' could be heard from the origin of Mathias. He groaned in frustration darting into the closest hiding place, pushing his kin away from his waist. The tall stranger was greeted by Mathias' newest enemies.

A short conversation was exchanged and for a short moment it looked as though the Curious man might save him and point his perusers in the wrong direction but at the accusal of thievery Justice got the better of his lost friend. Mathias was dragged out from his hiding place by a beautiful woman, she seemed to be traveling with the Curious man, she was pretty... thinking back Mathias could have intrupted a romantic moment between the two of them. No time to apologise his eyes looked toward the angry looking elves, the older female elf had a hand on her hip and her hand was outstretched waiting to reclaim her wallet. The two tall elves behind her lookedquick and merciless.

Mathias gave a quiet and clearly nervous chuckle, he opened his mouth to respond but he was interrupted yet again as a heavy arm was slung over his shoulders. The curious male was quite a bit taller then Mathias, blond hair long enough to nearly touch Mathias' face, his clear golden eyes showed honesty, something rare when one was lying. "Now, now, no need to get violent here. This here's a good friend of mine, we lost him a few days back, I kept all the money so he probably just needed something to eat. Don;t worry mam it won;t happen again. I'll watch him more closely this time." and with a wink and a smirk the conniving, curious man had charmed the woman into a doubtful and begrudged acceptance. This eyes were great at lying.

"Just give me back me runes and ye can be off with 'im. Just don't let me catch you again, ya hear?" Her tone was harsh and unforgiving but at least she was willing to spare him a bruised body. Mathias tried to flash her a grin of his own but it didn't have half the influence the convincing, conniving, curious man had. He sighed and gave back the purse, the elf woman took it, inspecting it briefly to ensure it hadn't lost much weight. she looked back at him again and leaned in much to fast for Mathias' liking. He jumped slightly and she huffed and walked back down the ally from whence she came.

Mathias watched her leaving, he still felt the arm around him and he then smirked broadly. Taking the gold coin out of his sleeve and flipping it in the air. "Hey, thanks. Next time try to bargain me the rest of the loot t-" he stopped mid sentance as the woman grabbed the coin from over his head. The woman had wings, a Harpy no doubt. he glared at her but his attention was brought back to the triple C man, as he turned, arm still around his shoulder but now he stood in front of the slightly shorter Mathias, holding his chin roughly and almost rudely.

"What's your name kid? Mathius looked reproachful, his nose creasing in distaste.

Resisting was exactly a smart idea at the moment however "Mathias Joelle"

"Alright Mathias. Don;t you ever do that again, fro now on you need coin for anything you com and see me. After all I did make a promise to the alf that I'd watch you." He gave him a light and mocking slap to the cheek and Mathias shook it off glaring at his new 'babysitter'. Joy just what he needed, he looked off to the side as the man back away beginning to walk away. At least Mathias could avoid him from now on.

All plans of avoidance were thwarted as he pert a push from behind, and Mathias lurched forward again. He looked over his shoulder at the Harpy. "Come on then, not nice to keep us waiting you know... I'm Tsuwary Falkward." Tyrant ********.... joy.He rolled his eyes but began to walk none the less, following his unwanted traveling partners.

"By the way, I'm Reese."

That's how Mathias joined Reese's troupe. A year past and he's still there, walking beside Mathias begrudgingly, still watched by both him and the Tyrant chick... It's not that bad though.

“Luciola! This is fun.” Dio giggled like a child his arm reaching out across the sky, his feet teetering dangerously on the edge of th large van ship. His hand outstretched to touch the grand stream with his fingertips. He felt so free, so far away from all the troubles that dwelled back home with the Maestro Delfine His chin length white hair whippedaround his face the strong winds stung a little but it didn’t bother the leader to be, it felt nice to have his large cloak flutter dangerously about him.

When he had been a child this would have been out of the question, he hadn’t even barely been allowed outside but here free from the guild he could do as he pleased, and as long as Luciola was there with him he felt invincible. Now if only he could take his own van ship into grand stream, why that would be stupendous! Flying high against the great winds with Luciola Navigating the air for him, they would be higher then any bird faster than any of these larger van ships, like a beautiful dove. He giggled to himself but suddenly his voice faltered. He had only closed his eyes for a mere second, Luciola’s warning lost to the wind, a grip that had once been so strong and tight was suddenly gone.

Mere seconds ago Dio had stood with two feet on the corner of the Silvana, his dear friends hand clasping his, Luciola would never let him go, he was Dio’s servant and also his only friend, but all the sudden his grip had vanished left from him in the blink of an eye, Dio was actually flying, both his feet had lost the grips of solid structure and his hand that had once clasped a solid being was suddenly cold and as free as his other hand, it didn’t feel so nice anymore though. It felt frightening.

Panicking his limbs desperately tried to grasp the man that had once been there. His braid was flying around bothering his neck but he ignored it simply reaching out desperate to find the comfort that Luciola offered in his tight grip, desperate for his only friend, where was he and why was the world so dark? Even in the grand stream the world had been nearly white, surrounded by clouds and winds, the great silver van ship, captained by Alex, the Silvana had gleamed in the hidden sun light and his friend had been waring all white and gasping him and suddenly it was all swept away, gone from his view; gone from him. With a last cry of ‘Luciola’ Dio was also gone.

All he felt was pain for a moment it was the first sensation he felt apart from his previous feeling of flying. His rump had hit solid ground and not all too lightly either but considering the great distance he must have fallen it was a lot lighter then it ought to be. Funny the grand stream was so high up, if he had hit solid ground he should have been dead for a fleeting second Dio was filled with hope. Hope tat he had landed in another van ship that Immelmen had caught him and that the stubborn and whimsical blond had caught him and saved him but all feelings of relief wee doused when he finally took in his surroundings. This was definitely not a van ship, Not Klaus’s van ship for certain. There was no Lavi telling him off for falling from Alex’s big ship, there was no Klaus complaining about how stupid the guild member was there was just dirt below him, dirt and grass and trees and the ground.

How had he gotten here though, a floating city perhaps but even that had been too far away he would have died before landing properly like this. His rump didn’t hurt so much but now the Guild member was filled with confusion on how he had gotten there. His eyes began to drink in his surroundings. A deep forested area, much more lush then any forest he had seen, why these trees looked big enough to have come from first water... were they owned by the guild? His large outfit shielded him from feeling much, he could only see and smell everything around him, his gloved hands feeling nothing, his fingers could never touch dirt of course. He could see a deep forest a lush and healthy ground, healthier then home anyway, and in the fr distance he could see something shiny. Perhaps it was the Silvana. Dio was distracted from his musing, bright eyes turning in the direction of distant voices.

Still sitting Dio was hidden by the brush and tress, peoplecould be near and not even see the white clad guld member, then again simply standing up Dio would stick out like a sore thumb. So for now he listened to the voices near him comtemplating what he could do in this situation. No one would dare hurt him, Dio was to be the leader of the most powerful fleet to rule the skies, if anyone were to dare defy him they would meet a quick death from... Luciola... but where was Luciola... where was everyone else?

Forgetting about his plans to keep quiet Dio forgot about keeping hidden and jumped to his feet reviving his voice to give a call “Luciola!” he raised black clad hand to his mouth cupping his hands to amplify the noise. If anyone had missed him before they were sure to see him now.

Humming erupted from the shower as Ellie got herself ready for work. She shook her head wet hair hitting her in the eyes as she rinsed out the last of the conditioner. She grabbed a towel and quickly turned off the hot spray of water jumping out from the slippery white shower floor onto a fluffy pale yellow carpet. The first thing she did was tousle her hair freeing it off excess water, as soon as the towel fell off of her past shoulder length brown hair her face was once again revealed to the world her silver eyes blinking away the last droplets of clean water her lips already set in a smile as she continued to sing the pirates of the Caribbean theme song. Malcolm, her half brother had stayed up all night watching all three movies in succession, he always did this on Saturday night because he didn't have to worry about getting up for school the next morning. And even though it was summer right now he still continued this habit. Since he had been watching the movies all night and theme had gotten stuck in her head and it refused to get out; not that she minded, she loved the theme song to those movies.

Ellie was off in her own world banging things and singing loudly now to the song, that would teach Malcolm, as she slipped on underwear, a teal button up blouse and black tight fitting dress pants. she fluffed up her hair over the collar, it really was getting long now, she usually kept it in a bob but she had been growing it for a while now just to see what it would look like, she hadn't decided weather she liked it or not. As she rolled up the long sleeves of her blouse to her elbows she reached the climatic conclusion of the theme breaking open the bathroom door for the last loud bang of the song. She could already here her brother complaining... it was a little early after all, especially after his late night movie time.

He had probably had nightmare of evil squid men and pirates after his booty. She laughed at her own joke, not quietly either. She knew her mother was used to her loud mornings and the senior of the house had probably slept through the ruckus easily, none the less Ellie peered in her room before leaving. The elastic woman was stretched in some odd position and fast asleep. Ellie hummed a little quieter this time, starting up on her usual theme song, she sang it every morning that she had work. She made her breakfast and only paused to sing the loudest part about the bad things in life using her best singing voice... which was non existent. Her quiet moment broken she grabbed her bag and work clothes from in front of the front door and she was on her way.

She stepped down off the top steps of the their one story house and began to head down the street towards her favorite building, all the way humming her own personal soundtrack happily adding things here or their when it came to her favorite things. Her hair was still a tousled and wet mess but her hair always managed to fall back into place once it was dry, many girls envied her for this hidden talent.

Lots of people stared at her, save for the people that actually lived on the roads. They were used to seeing the rambunctious, nearly grown up girl walking down the streets singing to her self and twirling on light posts. People who only once in a while graced this area weren't s lucky. They stared after her as she danced to her very own beat switching songs once in a while, even making up her own. They all sucking but Elli didn't care.

Finally she arrived at her destination the big Open sign made her smile ever wider, "Well of course we are!" She answered back to the sign as she opened the door to head in a sound chimed to let the others know she was here and she was graced with a sight for sore eyes. Tyler was back, she plastered a wide grin on her face but paused for a moment catching the last words of one of her favorite songs.

' 'cause I would die for you on Skyline Avenue. So what's left to prove? We have made it through She stopped herself from squeeling in delight over Tyler's Arrival, knowing that she'd probably smash someone eardrum, most likely poor Tyler's She suddenly got an Idea.

"Hey there Ty, we should join in! Come on I bet Brandon needs some singing pArtners, you gotta know this one! She assumed that the body guard would know the song and headed of in the direction of the music grabbing at her once gone now back co-workers arm, she wouldn't force him to come but she wanted him to. She headed for the couches, breaking into song already. "Alright Brandon, lets take it from the top! ''cause I said said let's change our luck, this night is all we've got, drive fast until we crash, this dead end life, sweet dreams that won't come true, I'd leave it all for you, brick walls keep closing in, let's make a run to--' " she meant to jump over the couch back and surprise their brown-haired musician, however instead of hopping over the couch and sitting next to him she fumbled, her foot catching on the bottom edge of the couch as it flipped her over to hit her face on the cushions below and then she fell on her side laughing loudly, to make sure everyone knew that she was alright and because her blunder had been funny!

Her nose hurt a little but the pain quickly ebbed away her mutant side kicking in. She giggled while trying to talk so it sounded a little jumbled but she mean to say "g'mornin, Brandon, look who's here it's Tyler! The Tyler part was probablythe most clear. Marley stifled her laughter but her wide smiled still spoke of humor.

I'll think it over prima donna you don't want to sever,
All the work to impress, charming girls out of their dresses,
Smiling pretty, well pretty will swallow you forever

A head lightly moved to the beat, music played through out the room, quiet enough that it wouldn't bother customers but loud enough that the tunes could be heard of the drone of local residence, Business men, students and the like. It was a catchy tune that could even impress a super model; Zach should know. "Here you are, One Grande, 2 pump Vanilla, Non-Fat, Extra Hot, Latte. An Iced Single Vente, 7 pump Peppermint, Caramel Sauce Top and Bottom, Light Ice, No whip, Mocha, and a Choclate chip muffin warmed and sliced to share. Enjoy gentlemen." All that with a smile and not a single falter. The tall teen bowed curtly and headed back behind the counter. One of the older co workers gave him an appreciative glance. He wasn't supposed to start work for another half hour but because he had a spare last he had decided to drop by early, go figure the small cafe, and favorite neighbor hood hang out was packed busy. He swipe in early to help out the full timers, They were thankful.

Really he didn't need this job, he could have lazed around bored for hours instead but something in him missed the pressure of working on the clock and constantly trying to impress people, and although this job was quite different from his old one, working at "Cakes and Coffee" had it's own stresses. Coming in early was just his way of being a nice guy, it sucked though because that meant that he had missed out on making plans for this weekend. "Zachary I hate to ask but could you serve table eight, I've got my hands full" Zach looked up instantly and smiled reassuringly, he didn;t mind. His lips urved into the perfect smile as usual.

"No prob' Marcy," Usually it wasn't busy during this time of the day but then again it was the end of the week. Sooner then later students would start pouring in as well, School would be ending right about now, and the business men would retire from the small cafe, rushing to where ever they needed to be, home to a family bound to kick off the weekend or back to work. Then all the day shift workers would switch with the evening workers and the students would come pouring in. Usually there was a rush right after school ended and then an hour later it would die down and become quieter and quieter as the sky darkened.

The cafe was pretty popular, they served very kind of specialty coffee around, they served several different kinds of pastries, cookies, muffins and sweets and they gave out wireless internet cards cheap. Not to mention the music was great most of the student workers were kind and patient and some, like Zach, were even drop dead gorgeous. The job had some perks, all kinds of teenagers hung out here, therefore his friends didn't mind keeping him company from time to time while he was on shift. The manager liked him, because he put in extra hours and sometimes brought in new customers, because of his prior line of work he didn't actually need the job therefore they treated him very nicely to keep him around and he could choose which ever shifts he wanted and lastly the uniforms weren't horrid like most.

Zach was able to fashion the Black apron, with the lime green logo and pockets with ease, tying the strings around his waist, it was as long as his mid calf and the lime green color, though bright didn't clash with his cyan eyes and golden brown hair too badly. The short sleeve lime green tee suited him and was just tight enough to show off his muscles without suffocating him and finally the easy fitting black pants made him look a little taller and a little slimmer then he actually was. Even his beige nike shoes looked good with this outfit. He personally didn't hate his uniform, mind you it wasn't half as glamorous as the clothes he had once modeled but it was better then the uniforms they wore at the Gap, or Shoppers Drug Mart.

Dreams can be the strangest things. Shi had decided long ago that all his dreams were strange, constantly baffling, and sometimes unimaginably stupid, when he was young he used to talk about his dreams allt he time, talling his brother and sister, going on and on while his mother pretended to listen, that was until his friends at the time because to pick on him for his strange dreams and Suellen started calling him 'sleeping beauty' because he constantly spoke about time spent while dreaming, eventually he began keeping his dreams to himself. Only mentioning that his dream had been strange again.

In half of his dreams he was falling, which is strange considering his fear of heights and falling in general, but falling in a dream isn't scary, it's just surreal because in a dream there is never a bottom, just a never ending fall, you don;t get dizzy, the blood doesn't rush to your head and the idea of hitting the ground hardy occurs to you. Outside of the dreams Shilo's feet are always firmly planted on the ground, and his daemon very rarely becomes a bird, she shares his lve for a solid footing. However this dream was weird in a totally new and weird way. This dream started off with a journey to the past. A past full of gigling and playing, babysitting and being bored, smiles and adventure spent in ears when he wasn't constantly being told to grow up.

The park had always been bitter sweet for Shilo. The park was a place he always wanted to visit as a kid but even when he had been young he didn;t like spending to much time there, all kids want to play in the park, but once close to the park Shilo would always remember falling from the structures there, getting rocks in his shoes, being far too high, the different bugs that had stung him and the way his daemon used to hide in the bushes and become a snake only to jump out a scare him. He would always beg his mother to walk him there, onlyto beg her to leave five minutes later. His siblings were much different. As Shilo got older he began taking them to the grassy play area, his sister would sit off to her self picking flowers runing away from gross bugs but being able to play for hours. His brother would chase hem with dead bugs, put dirt in his shoes and preforming daring stunts that would scare Shilo nearly halfway to death. The park would always be bitter sweet for him.

Dreams were different however. In a dream you couldn't actually be hurt, so despite the memories he with held about the park Shilo walked about looking at the flowers and walking n the soft ground, in his dreams he didn't wear shoes... and he didn't really want to either. The ground here was very soft and the breeze was calm and relaxing. Shilo reaching out his hand to touch a flower only to stop last second, he felt that eyes were watching him, the calmness broken as he felt oddly exposed. Shilo looked up quickly The park felt different then like an entirely new place, not only was it filled with dangers explored in the past, but it also had an open sort of danger, like it was haunted with new disasters waiting to happen.

The woman standing now in front of him, watching with her Dark mesmerizing eyes was proof enough of that, she looked like the stranger mother had told you to avoid, and yet she also had a hidden air of kindness. A curt movement, a nod from the dark haired stranger. and the atmosphere changed around her, less foreboding, less simple. like a request. Shilo wasn't the best at understanding body language but as he opened his mouth to ask a sound of rustling bushes stopped him he looked behind him seeing his daemon leaping gleefully giving the call of a goat "bah" Shilo would have laughed but now wasn't the time for "goat" play as it were, she trotted quietly stopping to butt his calf with her hard read, Delila shook her head after that butting him once more before circling around his feet playfully. She turned her attention towards his face and she would have been looking into his eyes if Shilo had been paying attention if his eyes weren;t staring at something else.

He hadn't noticed that behind him there were no bushes, even though Delia had made a rustling noise, he had only assuming that the brown and white spotted goat had jumped from bushed but behind him the scene was entirely different His hazel eyes were fixed on yet another strange figure. A cat sat poise behind him it's eyes seemed to pierce though him, it's body almost rigid looking, had Shilo could have assumed the large cat was a queen, or king, the they way it proudly held it's head high, giving the animal a sense of presence and importance. The lanky boy was drawn in by the cat, it's eyes were deep pools filled with a much greater depth of intelligence, the eyes reminded Shilo of his dear professor, so filled with wisdom and pride.

Suddenly Shilo remembered himself turning back to the woman that he had wanted to speak with his brown hair falling in front of his eyes as he whipped his head around for a third time. He felt almost nervous and out of breath, the park didn't feel like a park anymore, sure it looked like his memory but this wasn't the same place, it was an entirely new feeling...

The woman still stood there and he lost his tongue, she was not simply stanbding anymore where before she had seemed perfectly simple and yet unque she now held out something that brought upon an entire new set of feeling, her hand was outstretched andclasped firmly in his pale hands was Shilo's Journal, the Embroidery undeniable, he felt familiar with this object, but why did she have it, he looked back into her eyes with a questioning glance, his face slightly strained and confused. Her eyes still held that same urgency, that same look of a request.

He jumped a little his knees bending his long legs jolting. He hadn't expected Delila To butt his calf again, this time a little harder a little more presistant. he cast her only a glance before understand and complying to his daemons suggestion. Shiloh walked forward to grasp the item his long arm stretching out to meet hers, the woman wasn't much bigger then he was, she was thin but the air about her... she seemed so powerful, it made Shiloh feel extremely small. He looked at her face once more but as he did his hand touche the book grabbing it firmly. Then all to suddenly it was gone.

Just like many other dreams Shiloh was falling, the air rushed past him the powerful woman disappeared the big cat was gone and everything was rushing by him once again, his daemon, the flowers, the memories, even the color until... "Owch" his head stung something terrible as it hit the ground, Shiloh had once again fallen out of his bed. This was the soul reason had had fought for the bottom bunk, even though his brother was much younger then he was. The sheets were wrapped tightly around Shiloh's lithe sweat covered body. Shiloh sighed untangling himself from and mess and running hands through his almost-to-long brown hair, he was due for a haircut, He heard his daemon giggling off on the side of the room, Delila had become a ischivous little weasel after laughing at her human, she was curled beside a large black bear Damon, Shiloh was only confused for a moment before he sat up and noticed why he had fallen out of the bed.

His sister usually slept with their mother in the second bedroom, but their mother usually left early and little Meridith hated sleeping alone even though he was ten now. Her sisters Daemon usually sat as a large black bear si Shiloh often wondered why she didn't just sleep with him, Toby was quiet and very protective of his little sister, but it didn't really matter. Meri had probably come in and curled beside him while he slept and then spread out pushing Shiloh out from the bed."She's already old enough, she shouldn't be sleeping with you anymore, although I am happy she she finally woke yo up. I though I would have to do it again." Shilo glared at his daemon half heartedly.

"Your one to talk curling up beside Toby... besides let her be, your only young once. Shiloh was never angry with his sister when she snuck into his bed, she just liked having someone there when she was asleep and with their mother gone so early that left her brothers... and the middle child, Ron, wasn't exactly the cuddling type he would usually wake up and force his sister back off the top bunk anyhow, his lizard daemon hissing encouraging his humans arrogant behavior. The two were exactly alike. Shiloh daemon shok her head, she figured that Meridith was old enough to sleep on her own but refused to argue with Shiloh. In the meantime Shiloh figured it was time to get up, it was early enough but his brother was already about, probably causing trouble and so Shiloh had to get up too, perhaps he would head out today, he didn't have to go to the college today so perhaps he could go shopping.

As he left the room his daemon switched into a loyal dog and followed his feet calmly, taking on the form of a brown and white border collie always eager to please and impress him with her good behavior, it was a rouse though, Delila never had good behavior, he made a quick sandwich for himself looking about the house quickly before seeing his brother down the hall building some sort of 'master piece' his monkey daemon holding out pieces for Ron to jam together... Normally this is where Shiloh would ask what he was ding to make sure it was nothing dangerous but Shiloh had lost curiosity about his brothers en devours long ago; it was better not to ask.

Also, so long as Shilo didn't disturb his thirteen year old brother he could slip out and ask Ron to watch Meridith for the day, which was just what he intended. he made for the door but suddenly remembered something, like a soft ringing in the back of his mind reminding him, of that dream. He paused or a moment and his daemon cast him a questioning glance. Shi sighed and headed back to his room looking into to see his sister still quietly sleeping, he crept over carefully reaching his hand under her pillow to pull out his journal he watched as his sister shifted slightly but didn't stir. she was cute, with brown hair, much like his, her eyes closed peacefully, her hands held up tight against her body. her cheeks chubby and rosy in her sleep. Shiloh smiled before slipping out of the room. His brother was still there his eyes focused and determined, Ron would end the world one day.

"Hey Ron, I'm heading out watch Meridith, I'll be back to make you supper if mum doesn't come home." and before the other boy could protest Shiloh was quickly out the door book in hand, he grabbed some bread a a square underarm bag at the door before slamming the door to their tiny hovel shut. The house was small but it worked for the family of four.

Heading down the already busy streets Shiloh straitened his brown shirt more properly slipping the book into his bag before he got too far, he didn't want anyone to grab at it, it really had become one of his treasures but he felt he couldn't leave it behind today, behind him his daemon had become her usual form, a tiny goat now trotted behind him her brown and white pattern more familiar then any other of her forms her tall ears bobbing behind him he smiled as he headed down the busy streets not quite sure yet where he was heading, once he got far enough away he stopped running, and instead walked leisurely. He had only needed to get far enough away from the house so that his brother wouldn't be able to follow him, after all they weren't allowed to leave their dear little sister alone in the house for very long.

Even though he hadn't meant to really go there his feet worked a way o their own, he found he was heading towards the park, remembering the request in the womans eyes. He mussed as he walked that he might be walking into a trap, but dreams were harmless they didn't mean anything in real life, dreams and real life weren't intertwined. Besides how dangerous could the woman really be? Shiloh didn't want to hear the answer but even as he thought of all the things that could go wrong he realized that he and Delila had already arrived at the edge of the park, Delila trotted in front of him always being the first one to run into danger.

A snickering sounded though the dusk setting of the digital world. a top a large tree the scene was very funny but on the ground below among the foliage things were looking a little lower to the ground. A young boy had paced back a good twenty steps. He breathed in and out preparing to try again. If he got a good running start maybe then he could do it. Auburn eyes narrowed and glared at the flying pig in the tree and he returned his focus to the task at had. The flying pig, Patamon on the other had covered his mouth trying not to laugh out loud at his human partner. Patamon was feeling quite smug at the moment and fixed Tony with a look that said just as much.

Back on the ground Tony placed one foot a little further back and then began to run. His brown jacket fluttered behind him, his dark, dirty and worn nike shoes cut into the dirt and rock beneath his feet as he gave it his all. Breath came out fast through his lips an at the last second he lounged at the flat cliff wall, hoping that his running jump would give him enough height to be able to reach high enough to get a hold on the face of the next hill. As he hit the rock face his calloused and dirty hands scrambled along the rocks to find a hold and with luck his found out, he near cried out with glee, a triumphant smirk hit his lips only to disappear three seconds later when the small piece of rock he had been holding onto slipped away and Anthony once again fall on his butt at the base of the wall. Patamon burst into peels of laughter rolling back and forth on his perch the phrase 'told you so' was just audible through the laughter. Anthony was only able to glare up at his through blond locks.

Anthony whined under her breath kicking the wall of rock with one of his feet, it didn't budge of course. Patamon called down to his human partner, sarcastically "I could just get them down for you, but I can't fly high enough because I'm just a flying PIG" The little orange rookie stuck out his tongue as an added affect and smirked smugly down at his human partner, he wasn't actually mad just stubborn, he was waiting for Anthony to say sorry, that's all he had to do, and they could get down from here, collect the food they had found and get back to the others, but Anthony was being just as stubborn back.

Below on the ground Anthony stood back up and cupped his calloused and tired hands around his mouth, standing at his all mighty height of four foot six, he almost had to bend his neck backwards the holler up at his digimon "I can do it myself, you'll see I'm a great rock climber and I can get way higher then you Patamon! Besides Anthony had already screwed up enough times that he really wanted to be able to do this on his own. He was standing on a dirtier hill. The beach was quite a way behind them unlike the others Anthony had gone fother down the beach before heading into the forest to look for food, he hadn't found much, plants that patamon couldn't tell him anything about and some mushrooms, Patamon didn't know his plants, and Anthony only new none-digital plants, he didn't know which ones they cold eat, he had searched around for a while and just as he was about o get frustrated the the forest had gained back some of it's sandy texture, mixed with some normal dirt and the ground slopped upward to the current dirty ground he was standing on.

Above him were more trees and from the ground, when it had been a bit lighter out Anthony had been able to see coconut like objects and Patamon had boasted about eating them before, the only problem was the few trees, three or four, were raised from the ones below buy a mountain of rock. Anthony had tried going around but the area's beyond that were even worse, this was the best spot the the rocks face was almost completely flat, at a strait vertical climb. Patamon had originally said he would get some but his first attempts at the steep climb had been dismal, his winged ears were not built for long distances and he had only gotten half way up before tumbling from the sky and back onto Anthony. Then Anthony had 'comforted' him by telling Patamon that it wasn't his fault, chubby pigs weren't suppose to fly, much less fly that high. Patamon had gotten upset and told Anthony that he wouldn't be able to get half as high as this 'flying pig' could.

Patamon had then proceeded to find another way up, one that involved climbing a tree a little ways back down at the bottom of the sandy/dirty slope, gaining himself a few feet over Anthony's head. at first the gap between the trees on the ground and the trees at the top of the small cliff, but Patamon had proved him wrong using boom bubble to launch himself backwards and skywards towards the cliff and he was able to flap his ears just enough to land him on the cliff safely. he had then climbed the trees there to stare down smugly at his new friend. Since then Anthony kept trying to jump so that he could climb the wall, he wouldn't be able to jump the span Patamon had, and he was still at square one. Anthony stared up at his digimon, whom wasn't budging, and stared right back at him. On the ground below Anthony's stomach growled hungrily. "Alright Pat, I'm sorry your the best skinny flying digimon around now can you get those down I'm starving! Patamon instantly flung into action as Anthony admitted defeat.

"Look out below and catch 'em if he can! Patamon doubted that Anthony could catch the hard round diginuts but if he dropped any they would just break in two when they hit the ground, so long as he found all the pieces they could just wash what hit the dirt back at the beach. One by one the Brown coconut looking plants began to fall from the sky and Anthony did his bast to catch them but quite a few hit the ground and three or four hit him in the head forcing Patamon to pause with a worried face and ask if he was alright, and he was always phisically ok, just embarrassed. By the time Patamon had all the edible ones out of the trees Anthony had counted fourteen digi-cocos, as he decided to call them, only six of those weren't broken.

Anthony and patamon then set to the chore of putting the coconuts in Anthony's bag, brushing off as much o the dirt as possible. Soon after they began to head back for the beach. It was getting darker and darker outside. Anthony carried the slightly heavier napsack on his back and the so-called-skinny patamon in his arms, as a sorry for before. He was happy that he had his napsack that day. He hadn't been out on a hike, he would of had more useful things with him if he had been, like food and rope and.... well anyhow h had only been on his way back from school. Anthony wasn't one to multi-task while walking but his mother had just bought the latest and greatest of GPS' last week and this morning she had finished adding in all of their own programming from previous years. You can't imagine how excited Anthony was to try out the new GPS, so excited in fact that he somehow convinced his mother to let him take it to school and back to look it over and learn all of it's secrets. Anthony had been real good too, he hadn't dropped it once and he was only two blocks from his house when suddenly the thing started acting up. Digital coding came up on the screen and the buttons went crazy and next thing Anthony knew he was in the digital world.

He wore his brown napsack everywhere even to school, although he didn't need it, the bag was mostly empty save for a single text book his note books, some writing utensils and the bare necessities that were too small to remove every time his hiking sack became a school bag. Thankfully it was more then large enough, and unfortunately empty enough to carry all of the digi-cocos. If there was one thing Anthony had gotten good at over the years it was surviving that wild, not that he didn;t screw up from time to time... Lately all he had dne was screw up but who could rally blame him there were so many new things that he couldn't be used to yet, a whole new group of people to laugh at him, a whole new set of 'animals' and this entire world that was bran spanking new to him as well... everyones allowed to make a blunder or two. No one else seemed as good as Anthony when it came to making blunders.

Anthony reached camp just as it was really starting to get dark, he noticed that the fire was still going strongly, must have been thanks to one of the others, Mychala, V-mon, Clair, Dorumon, Injo and Palmon were already around the camp fire, Anthony noticed that they didn't have food with them, either they ate it already or Anthony had been lucky for the first night in forever and he hadn't screwed up... well not badly. No one had to know about the bumps on his head or why the digi-cocos were broken, if they asked he had meant to do that. "Hey guys, guess what! We have food! Patamon fed off his partners bouncing steps and called to the other six figures sitting in the sand before Anthony had a chance to. Anthony didn't care however he was quite content now knowing that he had don good that nigh and a dopey smile was wide on his face. As he got near the other digidestined he ploped down near Mychala and took his bag off after setting Patamon back on the sand. Patamon went strait to the air hovering a little about the sitting crowd, some of Patamons habits could be annoying but Anthony had never had any brothers or sisters growing up so although Patamon's constant company was a strange new situation for Anthony it was refreshing for now.

Anthony set the bag in front of him and opened up to retrieve one of the bigger pieces of brown. The actual insides were slightly green, now pure white like at home but he had nibbled a small piece earlier and they were slighter sweeter then real coconuts, so the color didn't matter so long as they tasted good and they were edible. "They're digi-coco's they're good, I got enough that we can at least each have a piece and I'm sure the other will bring back even more, so we can wash this while we wait for the others to come back. He was smiling all the while. He didn't really want to eat without the others but they could at least clean the pieces he had dropped before in the the water.

I'll think it over prima donna you don't want to sever,
All the work to impress, charming girls out of their dresses,
Smiling pretty, well pretty will swallow you forever

Zachary watched as the kids from his school started to trickle in. Many of the business men and retired regulars hurried to finish what they were doing to get out of there. Zach would never understand the fear that older men and women had for highschool students, they weren't that bad, yeah they took up space and were often the loudest of the customers but all the older folks had once been highschoolers themselves, hadn't they? None the less the crowds slowly changed from the older working class to the younger goofy class and suddenly the cafe hit it's next rush, orders were made tables were filled and every waitress and waiter were bustling about getting orders to the counter and taking orders to customers.

Some of the students were mature they simply sat down ordering a coffee or something sweet and did their homework, others lounged on their chairs sending paper airplanes through the cafe and yelling and jeering loudly amongst themselves. Zach was in full swing by the time his usual gang began to trickle in and he was cutting up some cakes while Chihero took their order, he watched but continued working. Chihero headed off to fulfill the order and Zach quickly fulfilled his own placing down a piece of black forest cake in from the first year girl that always came in and stared at him. He didn't mind when people stared it was a boost for his ego really.

When Chihero came back out with the orders on a plate, he was about to offer to take them to the table but Toya, the most senior male in the cafe grabbed his arm asking him to help out elsewhere. Zach did as asked dealing with a particularly large group of seniors in the back corner that were acting like they owned the place. He took their orders and told them to calm down a little, the other studying students had enough to deal with without the large group throwing paper about. After getting the large order to the table he left with complements and took a detour so he could at least walk by Yukiko and Kaito's table. As he walked by he waved at his somewhat friends he was closer with Raiden and Takeji he had met and spoken to the other two when he was with them.

He took a quick glance to the counter but they had stopped running around like a flock of headless chickens, this meant that a majority of the highschool students had their orders already so Zach stopped in front of their table tray under his arm "Hey Yukiko-san, Kaito-san, glad you could stop by, are you two here alone on a d-a-t-e?" Zach chuckled a little after the words left his mouth and winked jokingly at the pair. They probably weren't but when a boy and a girl sat together alone, especially when they were usually in a much larger group it made people wonder but he was only teasing. He was only going to stay a few minutes and then he'd continue to help out, but for now he let himself relax to enjoy a few minutes talking to people about something other then sweets or complicated coffee orders.

He was off in less then an hour anyhow so he might sit with them after his shift ended. Out of curiosity he had to ask "Where is everyone today?" He stood beside their table serving plate cumfortably under one arm and his other hand on his hip. He stood up talk and strait, he never really slouched, it was bad for the back after all and he knew how to look more prensentable then the average highschool kid. He looked the two up and down and explained his curiousities "I haven't seen anybody since lunch time, you know, work, as usual" He didn;t know why he wanted to explain himself but he didn't want to come off as rude. Most of the school knew by now that Zach often worked at the little cafe, he always ended up taking on more shifts then he should each week but he somehow always managed to hand in his school work mostly on time, t the outsider he could seem a little too good to be true, which was where the vicious rumors came in. People belived that he had servants doing his work, or that he got his co-workers to do his work for him, which was hardly the case, usually during work he would stay in the cramped break room during their slower periods to work on projects and what not, all of his co-workers were used to it by now.

Besides he hardly worked on his spares but today had been a special case, he would probably just stay up a little later to finish up his homework, otherwise he would have finished on his spare. Despite the fact that he was new to the highschool environment his mother still expected the best from him and the best meant good grades and good reports from his teachers about him being a nice boy. Sure there was a bit of pressure but Zach worked well in the spot light and met it as a enjoyable challenge to stay on top... though he did miss his old life some days.
