・✶.。✎ Once upon a time, existed an island full of magic, dreams, and adventure. Yes, Neverland was a location of non-stop fun and mischief, a place where the imagination of all children were to roam free without the any limitations set by adults. There was the lagoon of glorious mermaids, the tribe of respectful Indians, and not to mention the ship trouble making crew of pirates. Though with all of these interesting characters populating the island only one person truly brought it to life . A special young fellow of warm auburn hair and striking emerald eyes, also held an important meaning to Neverland. His childish mentality and courageous actions had earned him the title of 'the boy who never grew up'. Peter Pan was a lad of his early teens, having lost his parents long ago he dedicated himself to never becoming an adult. Through his eyes growing older only meant grief, stress, and dullness. With his crew of Lost Boys and his right side fairy Tinkerbell, the group accomplished all sorts of missions only adding another chapter to their book of memories.
Being the curious boy that he was, Peter would occasionally stray away from the boundaries his home and fly through the streets of London, searching for children to become his playmates. One night he had voyaged to the small neighborhood of Bloomsbury, passing by an open window a captivating voice had suddenly spoken his name quickly catching his attention causing him to stop and investigate. Floating in the shadows he would lean against the wall listening closely to the female's words in awe and admiration. The tales she told were simply amazing, so full of imagination and wonder. The girl spoke about him as if she had actually witnessed Neverland and his countless adventures. Not only did she keep her younger siblings interested to the very end, but to much surprise Peter's as well. So much so that her storytelling had become some sort of nightly ritual for him. After the parents would bid the children goodnight, she would immediately begin her stories almost as if she were programmed that way. Every dark evening the male could be found comfortably rested beside the window with his arms crossed against his chest, listening closely as he gazed up at the stars sprinkled across the blanket of black, known as the night sky.
Upon one trip to his favorite spot in the real world, he had unfortunately lost his shadow. The uncontrollable being made it's way into the home, causing him to reveal himself for the first time. The children gasped as it came to their realization, that the main character of the tales that had been told over the last few months was indeed real. After recapturing his shadow with much difficulty, Peter Pan proudly introduced himself as he too was rather excited to finally meet them face to face. One by one the kids introduced themselves until he finally found out the name of the girl who had been causing him to make plenty of trips to and from Neverland. Wendy the lad repeated with a gleaming smile, nodding his head he now knew exactly what he had to do, take them back to Neverland with him. It took a lot of persuading, but the deed was finally done and taken care of. The green eyed boy blew a handful of golden pixie dust upon the trio and gladly led them back to the second star to the right.
From then on only fun journeys took place on the shores of Neverland. With Wendy and his loyal crew by his side Peter Pan saved the chief indian's daughter Tiger Lily, defeated Captain Hook numerous times, and faced different types of danger without the blink of an eye. It seemed life would hold surprises every day, though as time passed everyone seemed to grow bored of their usual events. It came to the point that there were constant complaints of wishing to return home, being the stubborn person that he was Peter Pan refused to let anyone go back to the real world. Who needs grown up's? the leader spat, Were doing just fine here in Neverland he would continue. That was until Wendy pulled him aside privately one afternoon and personally told him that she to desired to go back as well, to grow up and raise a family of her very own. Peter was shocked, why would she want to go back? Why would she want to leave him behind so easily? Weren't they somewhat growing feelings for each other, strong one's at that. Heart broken Peter could only agree, how could he say no to Wendy Darling? His worst fears had actually come true, and they were taking their tolls on the younf Peter. With much disdain he slowly began taking them back, the Lost boys, the Darling brothers, and even his dear Wendy. As he dropped her from his caring arms back into her bedroom, he could only stare into her innocent eyes. Not wanting to leave Peter held her hands unable to let go. I-I'm sorry Peter, I-I'll never forget you, but I can't stay a child forever ... I j-just can't she whispered hesitantly and leaned against the windowsill giving a short kiss upon his cheek . Once her lips parted from his skin it was easy to see she was fighting back tears. G-Goodbye Peter she sniffled closing the windows and the curtains before beginning to sob, Wendy did not want to make the situation more miserable then it already was. Goodbye Wendy the lad responded touching his cheek as he slowly began to float back through the scattering of large gray clouds that hung high above his head.
Trying his hardest to keep things interesting he tried do go about things like nothing had ever changed, though it was a hard task. It just wasn't the same without having everyone he once knew and enjoyed by his side anymore. Peter Pan soon began loosing interest in everything he once loved. He no longer traveled, he no longer fought, he no longer laughed, and he no longer flew. Due to his lack of actions the Indians drifted away from the island using hand carved canoes, a handful of mermaids began to swim to new exotic places, the villain Captain Hook had ordered his ship to rise anchor and set sail, even Peter's trusted partner Tink silently fluttered away once the spark that had once fired so brightly in her friend's heart had faded away. Peter Pan moved his old home in the forest to more higher grounds, wanting to get away from anyone and anything. Building a tree house at Rocky Peek he nonchalantly watched the calm seas. No matter how hard he tried, Peter was unable to regain his childish nature as well as forget about Wendy. It felt as if he was gradually fading away from existence. Boats began to frequently travel in and out of Neverland Island, as a little town sprouted up bringing all sorts of tourists and residents. By then Peter Pan was a mere childhood story a myth if you wish, it is said that if you listen very closely you can hear the faint tune of his flute echoe around the island softly traveling with the wind. Now 'the boy who wouldn grow up' was something no one believed nor really cared for anymore.
・✶.。✎Peter Pan is mainly seen as a youthful, boastful, and careless boy. He isn't afraid to point out how great he is, even when such claims are questionable at times. The lad has a nonchalant, devil-may-care attitude, and is fearlessly cocky when it comes to putting himself in danger. Peter can also be quite selfish and stubborn, depending on the situation. Peter is a skilled swordsman, one of the reasons he was able to take on his adult enemy Captain Hook. He has remarkably keen vision and hearing. He is skilled in mimicry often able to copy the voice of anyone he wishes to with much ease. Peter Pan is sensitive about the subject of 'growing up'. He often laughs at the fact that some children actually want to become adults, though he shudders at the fact that the same fate may fall upon him too. After the departure of his friends and his love interest Wendy, he become has some what depressed and finally loses the will to fight. He still holds a hint of his former self within him, but Peter often mopes around secretly on the island. Choosing to remain hidden and quiet among the trees and shadows as he examines the islanders daily routines, without interferring with anyone or anything.
