"Maybe it's time to grow up"
Once upon a time . . . xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Long ago, (and when I say this I do mean quite a long time ago) a very wealthy man by the name of Taylor Cladwell met a beautiful maiden whose name was like the sea, Aquamarine. They soon fell madly in love with each other, (happily ever after, right? NO!) So anyway within a year of dating Taylor proposed and they were married, even though Taylor's father greatly disapproved of Aquamarine. The couple ran away together and had a child, that child was me. They named me William, after Aquamarine's father.
Things seemed to be perfect until Taylor turned on his family. He had fallen in love with another woman and had been cheating on his wife since before my arrival. Finally Taylor left and Aquamarine was heartbroken. But she was strong when she was in front of me.
After a decade my mother and I had become desperately poor and she would frequently call my father, begging him for help. He came back for one night and then left. Nine months later she gave birth to my brother. Now with two children my mother was giving up hope on ever getting out of poverty. I tried my hardest to help, I even got a job once I turned fifteen. Nothing helped and soon my mother became depressed.
One day Sebastian and I had gone out to try to earn some money. When we returned the shack we had been living in was burnt to the ground. My mother died that day, she was burned alive. To this day I still don't know if she had started the fire or if it had been my father or maybe even some complete stranger.
The alleys of Britain weren't very safe, but they were the only thing I could afford with my tiny salary. It was a scary place to live and my three year old brother was always frightened by the slightest sound. To calm him I would often sing to him. We were by each others side day in and day out. My brother and I had created a bond so strong that nothing and no one could break it.
After two years of living on the streets I met the one and only Peter Pan. We soon became fast friends and he took us to live with him, the lost boys, and Tinkerbell in Neverland. There I learned about Captain Hook and everything there was to learn about my new home. I became a pirate and played with Captain hook the way Peter did. We were such a great team and we always had so much fun.
That was until the heartless showed up. They attacked Neverland and threw it into a dark, demonic state. It was then when I got my keyblade. I used it to fight the heartless off, but their numbers were much greater than ours. We fought long and hard, trying everything we could, but then they did the worst thing possible. They kidnapped Sebastian, maybe even killed him.
Our never-ending struggle lasted for several years. We were able to keep them in the deepest parts of the forest, meaning that our war was somewhat over. Over the dreadful years I tried to find a way to get my brother back, while doing this I discovered a book of worlds. Once I found the Land of Departure I knew it was the place I should go.
I arrived there and this is where the adventure begins . . .
