Let's play a game of two

Let's play a game tonight
I'll play Dark and you'll play Light

Kirai rubbed his eyes, staring at what the guy was doing. Oh, please.

“Stand up, come on. Who are you to kneel like that?”

He saw confusion in this guy's eyes, when he stood up and looked straight at him. His eyes were... kind of red, although still brown. Kirai bit his lip, looking at them carefully. He would take them to his collection but... This guy wasn't someone who could be killed. Or at least now now.

“I apologize. What do you want, anyway?”

His voice was calm, as he spoke to Kirai and then looked around again. Kir just sighed and scratched his head.

“Few things. You know, lately I have a lot of police on my back and--”

“You want us to kill everyone in Police?”

“Are you stupid? Of course not. I just need someone to do all the dirty work for me, that's all. You're going to live in my mansion for now, while people will think that you're the celebrity from today. And why you're living with me? Oh, of course you do, after all all these people think that I have such contacts.”

He explained slowly, staring at this guy's even more confused face. Yeah, he needed a loyal dog like that. This guy would just do everything for him, and eventually through their contacts it would be easy to escape. Just look at him - these demonic eyes, black hair, cold face. If he lived with him it would be easy to accuse him as well. He'd be just a sacrifice, to be honest, but it's not like he had much to say in that case.

“And what I'm supposed to do? My father won't be really pleased with it...”

“And? Your father is just a plant laying in the bed, don't forget that. I doubt this guy can even think.”

Black-haired guy frowned, but he wouldn't say anything. In the other hand, Kirai was right, and the truth hurts, right?

“Come on, prove that you're worth bearing the same tattoo as me.”

His soft-spot got definitely hurt right now, and Kirai knew it very well. Oh well, if he had to, he wouldn't stop himself from things like blackmailing or destroying his pride. He was pretty much ruthless after all, right?

                                      “Fine. I'll help you.”

“Great. And now we have to get out of here, because you were stupid enough to pick a place in the middle of Tokyo.”

Kirai rolled his eyes and jumped off the altar, dusting off his clothes. They could just use the back entrance, though. He was pretty sure it will be clean. Shrugging, he started to walk in that direction.

“We'll just get out of here through--”

“No! Stop. There is someone over here.”

“Well, one person is better than thousand, right?”

“But that's not a normal person. Let's just go out through the main entrance.”

“So who it is and how do you know that it's not a normal person?”

                                      “Trust me?”

Kirai couldn't help but chuckle. Trust him? Well, he should since this guy was working for him right now, but it was funny anyway. Trust...

“Fine, but pray that your people won't screw up, I don't want a shitstorm later.”

He followed this guy out of the church through the main gate, his people surrounding them so tightly that Kirai could barely breath at times. With a hood on and his head low he was sure he wouldn't get noticed, though. He was kind of curious who could be standing at the back entrance and why it wasn't a normal person. And how did he know it wasn't, anyway? He was probably making s**t up to get attention while walking out. That a*****e. And he was pretty sure it was like that.

Now that he thought about it, his actions were pretty childish at the moment. He shouldn't start off with something so big, but in the other hand, people around him were getting scared after what Ryu told him. Panic... Yeah, that was his worst enemy right now. In the other hand, causing a chaos in Police would do him good. He obviously could just run right now, while still being clear. Take the airplane to a random country and just live off his money here, perhaps starting collecting eyes again. Because his collection would surely fly with him. But... it was just too funny. Kind of exciting, too. Messing with Police... he would just play for a bit and then probably run, or perhaps tag along with this guy and join the... darker side of the city. At least he'd be covered and hidden. Well, that certainly did sound like a plan.

He didn't go to school next day, with an excuse of taking care of his guest. Actually, he was wondering when miss detective will realize that he's actually avoiding her. Because sooner or later it will become quite obvious. Well, doesn't matter. They decided to give this guy new name - he'd be an European model who is here... yeah, for some random photoshoots, obviously. It couldn't possibly get more lame, but looking at his face, he'd do good in this job. If he wouldn't be a total, social failure perhaps Kirai would get worried about his current status. Because well, Lakhesis, like they named him, couldn't even really speak to a person normally. He was quiet and seemed to be shy, while in fact he could as well be ruthless and sneaky. Guess everyone had their 'second side'. Kirai was really thinking about sending this dude to school, because perhaps he would get less useless when it came to social contacts. He was pretty stubborn about it, excusing himself that he has always been taught privately, but it didn't really fix the problem he needed to know how to speak with people. And thus, Kirai decided to send him on Criminology, perhaps he'd spy a bit.

But he had a concert to attend, first. Getting changed, he left the mansion under Lakhesis' care, even though he wasn't really sure if it was a good idea. Oh well, looking how many black cars were all around his mansion it couldn't be that bad. Bah, he even had ******** snipers around the garden and on roof. They were surely protecting their boss, sure, but it wasn't really what Kir was asking for. Well, whatever. He got in his Bugatti and started to drive.

It was nothing interesting, really. Just a lot of noises and few girls who thought that he was drunk enough to kiss them. Actually, alcohol didn't have any special effects on him, unless he really drank a lot. Then he'd become too open though, so he was avoiding such situations. What if he'd actually tell everyone what he's doing? He couldn't afford to do that. And thus, he was avoiding alcohol. One or two beers were fine, but he was too worried to drink more.

“Are you sure it's a good idea? I mean I've never--”

“But of course it is. Go and don't make a fool out of yourself. Also, keep your mouth shut and don't talk much, just smile like an idiot and act like you would be a totally clueless foreigner. I'll meet you on lunch break. Also, don't forget you have few things to do after school.”

                                      “But--”

But his sentence got cut off.

Kirai went out of the car, staring at people around them. They were surely curious about the foreigner, especially when everyone somehow already knew that he's an European model. Yeah, he wasn't Japanese, but he was American... Oh well, who would see the difference anyway? Lakhesis got out of the car carefully, making sure at least two black cars are on parking as well. It was quite obvious that he didn't feel good here but... too bad.

Kirai disappeared in the crowd, leaving him with a lot of screaming girls around. And what was he supposed to do? Well, what a young Mafia boss would do? Yeah, yeah, nothing that Kirai told him to do. But well, he just smiled like an idiot and didn't even answer any questions, moving towards the school. His first class was about to start soon, and he already knew it will be a fail.

After a while of sitting here, Lyr got bored. Very bored. Except some random girl staring at him like he would be a popular singer. Actually, she was staring at him like she'd want an autograph while taking off his pants. And besides that, nothing else managed to catch his attention for longer than 5 minutes. He had to agree that library was a peaceful place and such, but... it was a boring one as well.

Yawning, he kept looking at the weapons in this book, reading some additional info. That was probably the only one book that could interest him in this place, though. Well, whatever. If it could keep his interest for few more minutes, he was fine.

When he heard Erin, he looked up at her and raised his eyebrow. The embarrassing fact was that it was really something new for him.

“Pff. How about I'll teach you something? It would be nice to do it against a shelve...”

He laughed and put the book back on its place, grabbing Erin's arm and pushing her towards the librarian. He just waited until she was done with the formalities and then went outside. It was slowly getting dark, which meant it was his part of the day. Now, everyone would gather on streets. Another gangs too, which meant it would get dangerous and thus more interesting. He didn't even care that Erin is with him - if she'll get hurt then... Too bad. It's not like he really cared if she will or not, right?

Still pushing her, they finally got into the car and he started to drive. Where now? She choose once. How about he'll repay her for all these weird comments and take her somewhere where she surely wouldn't want to be? Yep, that did sound like a good idea.

“Okay, you had your time. Now where shall we go? Night club, maybe?”

Lyr smiled and located the one near his gang's territory on GPS, starting to drive in that direction. When it came to a war of being mean to each other, he still would win, no matter what would she do or say. Because it was him who had power here, not her. Who she was? Just a random girl, who looked so fragile that he was scared that one touch could break her. Then again, he didn't care.

Parking in a dark alley, he felt that it's going to be funny.

“Alright, kitten. I saw where you like to spend your time, how about you'll look how I do? You gotta learn something new too, after all.”

Lyr smiled slyly and got out of the car, dragging her out as well. He just pushed her inside of the club and then let her go. She would come back to him crawling and begging that he'd hold her hand anyway, soon.

“You're free again, then. I'd suggest not going out though, a lot of weirdos live nearby.”

He chuckled and started to head to the counter, leaving her all by herself. Getting through all these people was kind of troublesome, but as he was European and well, taller than them, it wasn't that hard. Sitting on a high chair and looking around he realized that there's a lot of people he knew in here. Oh well, better for him, right? When he felt someone's touching his arms he was pretty sure it was Erin, thus he turned around with a sarcastic smile. Realizing that it's just one of his Boss' whores, he sighed and frowned.

                                        “And what do you want?”

“I'm just here to warn you, you should be more grateful you know~”

                                        “What?”

“Boss already told us that you're the main candidate to succeed the gang. And well, some people didn't really like his decision... They're watching you right now, I'd be more careful on your place.”

                                        “I'm fine, it's nothing new.”

“If you say so. You have any weapon on ya?”

                                        “I always do.”

                                        “Good.”

She smiled seductively and walked away, while Lyr started to look around carefully. Yeah, he did realize that some people are observing him, but it was always like that. Boss liked him, thus some people didn't. Dogs, they didn't even know how to shoot and he was supposed to be scared of them? Heh, please. They couldn't do anything to him but... What about Erin? If they saw him walk in with her, she was done for. Oh, God damn it.

Lyr stood up and started to run in the direction of doors, realizing that Erin is nowhere to be found. Where could she wander off to all of sudden? But well, he didn't manage to find it out before he heard a shot and felt a incredible pain in his foot. Lyr looked down realizing that he got shot... by who? Pulling his gun out, he looked around and saw some man running away. Great, he could barely move, why would he run after him. He reloaded quickly. As he aimed, everyone would fall to the ground. And he never missed.

Watching the man get shot in his back few times, he bit on his lower lip and hissed, as he was losing more blood. That damn Boss. Guess it would be clever to go to hospital now, but didn't he need to find Erin first? Lyr was wondering how was he supposed to do so though, with a bullet in his foot and a lot of blood around. Great, now he's unable to kill her family and this Kasumi girl for like three or four weeks. And it was too long, probably. Well, perhaps her family would wait, but he was supposed to kill his classmate tomorrow. Oh well, it was only 200,000 U.S.D anyway... But it's not like that wasn't much or enough for such an easy target.

He felt his phone ringing and pulled it out of his pocket. Boss?

                                        “What?”

He growled as he picked up the phone. He was seriously pissed off now, and his ******** foot was shot. It would hurt like hell, thus he didn't really want to hear his Boss' complaining right now. Actually, he could care less about what this old man wanted to say.

“I heard what happened. Are you in hospital already?”

“Uh, no? I wonder how the ******** am I supposed to drive like that? My ******** foot got shot!”

“Calm down! I'll send someone in few minutes.”

And his boss just hung up. Pff, stupid old man. Instead, Lyr started to look around to look for Erin. Maybe she had some luck and she didn't get kidnapped... or anything like that. Because right now he didn't feel like acting as a hero, really. He'd gladly go back to the hotel and rest, plus take some strong painkillers as his foot was truely killing him right now.
