                                                      xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx-- BRIANNA

A party was the last place Brianna wanted to go to, but honestly she didn't want to be home alone. Besides Nick was going, so why not? The girl shook her head as she started to get dressed. She had been avoiding the mirror, but now that Bri was in front of it, she couldn't help but stare at her stomach. Even after she had agreed with Derek, Brianna kept the baby. There was no abortion, but she had told Derek she had gone through with it. She lied so he wouldn't know about the baby... Their baby. Brianna bit her lip at the thought and turned to the side. It hadn't been long so there was no baby bump. She was afraid that he would find out before she wanted him to. It's not like she could hide it forever. There would be a baby bump and Derek will either know that its his or think it was someone else. She was going to tell him and deal with the consequences then. With a sigh, Bri ran her hand down her shirt and turned away from the mirror. She needed to get out of this house. Taking a deep breath, she headed out. Brianna didn't think about the note she had received. The one she only mentioned to the other Nephilim. The others of their messed up little group didn't need to know, not yet anyways. Besides, she had wanted to talk to Iain about it. It was a little weird, but for some reason he was the only one she really wanted to dump her problems on. The only problem was, was that he didn't show up at school for the rest of the week. It was rather disappointing, but Bri dealt with it. It's not like she actually knew him for long. He didn't mean anything to her or at least he shouldn't. Bri couldn't get attached and yet she had showed him her wings. Something the Nephilim were careful to keep hidden. They were only visible when they wanted them to be and Bri just exposed herself in front of a boy she had just met. How messed up was that? The girl shook her head and left her room. She definitely needed to get out of there. Not only because she felt like she was suffocating, but also because she was kind of hoping that Iain would be at the party. Bri bit her lip at the thought and focused on getting to the party.

The damn note stared him in the face. It had been sitting there for the past week, haunting him, reminding him of his past. You lose everything don't you? Your title, your girls, your best friend, and next your life. He shivered at the words. They were so menacing and terrifying. Not much scared Ash, but the thought that someone might actually know how to destroy him was kind of terrifying. When Ash had come to this world and found all sorts of new creatures, he changed his name so no one knew who he was. Sure, it was just a shortening of his middle name, but no one needed to know that he was Prince Ash, Queen Mab's exiled son. They didn't need to know that he had lost everything because of one girl, one stupid girl, but he loved her. Ash shook his head and ran a hand through his hair. No, he needed to stop thinking about her. She was dead now and he needed to move on. The male took a deep breath and leaned against the pealing wallpaper. There was a party tonight and Ash needed to feel alive, so he was going. The need for glamour was the only reason why Ash went to parties and school. He needed something to keep him from withering away. There was no way in hell that Ash was going to let himself fall in love all over again. The male pushed the thoughts out of his mind and shook his head. He needed to stop thinking about this or else he was going to drive himself nuts. Either that or drive himself into some sort of depression. That was the last thing Ash needed. He ran a hand through his dark hair and quickly got dressed. It was all so hard to get use to. It felt just like yesterday that Ash was on an adventure with Meghan. Now, he was living in a shabby apartment trying to get through each day. Everything had changed in a matter of seconds and Ash was still having a hard time wrapping his head around it. He clenched his fists and shook the thoughts from his head. He was nowhere near where she lived, so he needed to just forget about her. Ash took a deep breath and left the room. What he needed to do was just to get out of there.

The party was in full gear by the time she got there. Even with so many people around though, Brianna didn't feel any better. The murderer was a psycho, so who was to say that he wouldn't attack them here? Things were so crazy and so many kids were drinking, no one would know what really happened. Bri shook her head at herself and pulled off her cardigan. Now, that she was here, Bri felt weird and out of place. There was nothing for her to do, considering she had no friends here. Well, except for Nick, but he was probably with Dimitri. She scanned the room seeing others from the group already there. She let out a sigh and sat down on the couch. People bumped into her, but never even apologized. Brianna was fine with it all, though. The spot she was in was fine, well until a couple started to make out. A shiver ran down her spine, before she got up and left her spot on the couch. A voice called out her name, but Bri ignored it, not really wanting to talk to anyone at that moment. There was a buzz in her pocket and Brianna happily took the distraction. Though as soon as she read it, all the oxygen left her body. No, he was going to kill someone and would be all her fault. He had sent her a note with a warning and she had done nothing. Well, ok she had showed it to the family she was living with, but they didn't take it seriously. The murderer was probably going to kill her now. Tears welled up in her eyes and Brianna looked around the room. Finally, she saw Iain. As soon as she spotted him, Bri ran towards him, throwing herself in his arms. "It's all my fault! I should've listened, but I didn't. He's probably going to kill me, now. I don't want to die," she sobbed into his shirt. Brianna continued to cry, clutching Iain as if her life depended on it. She never wanted to let go. Being with Iain made her feel a hell of a lot safer then when she was alone. Bri looked up at him with her tear streaked face, before resting her cheek against his chest once again. Her mind was racing as she tried to think of a solution, but there was nothing she could. Brianna bit her lip and buried her face in his chest.

So. Much. Glamour. A smirk crossed his face before he headed inside. All the girls were around him in a matter of seconds, but Ash eventually got out of the throng of girls. He went to the kitchen, needing a drink or something. Ok, he didn't really, but it was probably one of the less active places. Sort of. Of course there was still all the jocks. He ignored them regardless and got himself a bottle of water. The rest of it was just nasty stuff that mortals drank. He could never understand why they drink that stuff. He looked around the place when he saw a girl much like Ariella. His eyes went wide and Ash started to splutter. His drink went all over the place and he couldn't believe what he was seeing. She was dead. Had been for so long now and yet she was there? No, that couldn't possibly be it. He stared at the girl with wide eyes, when he noticed slight differences. His body relaxed a little, but Ash still felt on edge. He couldn't tear his eyes away from her. Unfortunately, the girl looked terrified. After awhile she made a ran for it and Ash stood there in shock. What. The. Hell? No, there was no way. He could not get involved and yet this girl fascinated him to a point that he almost didn't care. No, he had to care, otherwise he would just end up hurt again. There was no way he was going to do that to himself. The male shook his head at himself and walked off. He couldn't stay here with that girl. There was something about her that made him want to know more, but he wasn't going to let that happen. It would cause problems just like it did with Meghan. Ash pulled the glamour around himself, making it where no one would see him and made his way out.

                                                      xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx-- ASH

                                            xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx- - - RYLAN

A sigh escaped Rylan's lip as he walked to the library. The boy and his friend, Liam, had no way of getting to the skate park until Emma was out of detention. Sure, they could walk or Rylan could take the car, but considering him and Emma shared the car, there was no way he could. He would much rather avoid getting yelled at by his parents again. The memory of that was not pleasant, of course his mom had calmed his dad down. His father use to be an angry person, but after him and his mom finally worked things out, for the most part, his anger is usually subsided. Rylan didn't want to be like his dad. He didn't want to be the kid that gets angry so easily. Though Emma was pretty much that kid. The boy shook his head and walked into his library with his friend. They didn't really talk much, since there was nothing to say really. There was almost never something to say when you're with Rylan. Sure, you can talk to him, he's a great listener, but you can't really expect anymore then that. Actually, there are plenty of people that go and talk to Rylan just to vent and get everything off their chest. He has a lot of secrets tucked away in his pocket that he never plans on using, but still. That was probably why they all trusted him with their secrets, because he wasn't much of a talker. Hell, barely anyone at this school has ever heard him talk. The boy ran a hand through his hair as he sat down at a table. That was when Liam decided to start talking. Rylan didn't say anything, just listened. "Hottie alert!" Laim whispered. Rylan cocked an eyebrow before looking to the side to see the redhead from earlier. He just shrugged not really caring. Well, not until he started to remember certain memories. He clenched his fists and tried to stay calm as the girl asked if she could sit next to him. He just shrugged, not wanting to talk. It seemed to annoy her, but at this moment he didn't care. The room felt a hell of a lot hotter suddenly and yet Rylan couldn't do anything about it. There was no way he was letting these two see his scars. He took a deep breath and tried to keep himself calm. "Dude you ok?" Liam asked. "Um... Yeah, just peachy," Rylan said through clenched teeth.

Detention usually sucked for Emma, but as of late she's been having some fun with the teacher in charge of it. Sure, it was bad but she didn't really care. The guy was cute for being a thirty something year old. Usually, there aren't many people in detention. Actually, there's usually no one in the small room, so the two would have sex during her detention. When there was people here they just waited until after. Of course Emma couldn't really do that today. She had to take her twin to the skate park and he knew what time her detention would be over. The girl ran a hand through her hair as she sat at a desk that was fairly close to the teacher, but not right in front of him either. "Not only is the teacher staring at you, but Drake Monroe keeps looking in your direction. What did you do?" her friend, Kelsey, asked. Emma just shrugged, before looking around the room. There was no one looking at her at that moment, so she wasn't quite sure who Drake was. Of course she had a good general idea. "Drake... The same guy who is dating that b i t c h Artemis. He was such a douche to Rylan this morning," she said shaking her head. The girl licked her lips and pulled out her iPhone. "Regardless, he's probably just plotting some sort of revenge that involves me." She shrugged again and started to play temple run. EmmaMarie never got in trouble for playing games during detention, considering she was sleeping with the teacher. Well, honestly only a few got in trouble, considering the guy didn't care. Not when Emma has detention at least, since he just wants it all to be over with half the time. She sent Mr. Levy a text saying she couldn't stay before going back to her game. "I say we go talk to him and his friends! Charlie is so cute!" Kelsey said looking at Emma with hope. The girl chuckled and nodded. They headed over to them, but Emma really didn't pay attention. Kelsey started to talk to Charlie almost instantly. "Emma!" The girl jumped and looked up at her friend with wide eyes. "Want to go to the movies with Charlie and me. We can make it a double date," Kelsey said flashing her friend a smile, saying that she had to say no. Emma raised an eyebrow at her friend and shook her head. "I don't do or go on dates."

Finally, the boy was able to calm down and Rylan heard what the redhead was listening to. Black Veil Brides, one of his favorite bands. He mouthed the words to himself as he pulled a book out and started to read. Of course he couldn't really focus, her music was too loud. Great he either had to confront her about it or be bored for the next couple of hours. He ran a hand through his hair. Liam was off in his own little world impervious to the loud music that was playing. Rylan rubbed his temples and closed his eyes as he drummed his fingers to the beat. Finally, he couldn't take it anymore, Rylan tapped the girl on the shoulder and waited for her to pull her headphones down. "I love Black Veil Brides as much as the next person, but can you please turn it down?" he asked in his normal monotone voice. He was still drumming his fingers to the beat as he waited for her to turn it down even a little bit. The two just stared at each other for awhile and Rylan started to notice small things about her. It was kind of weird for him to be this close to a girl other then Emma and her friend, Kelsey, but that didn't really matter to him at the moment. He could feel his heart pound and suddenly the memories of this morning were haunting him once again. Rylan pressed his lips together and squeezed his eyes shut. He turned away from the girl, hoping he wasn't about to have an episode. God, was it going to be like this every time he was around her. No, it was probably just going to be today. Well at least he hoped so. For one reason or another he knew he was going to be seeing a lot more of this girl. Rylan hid his head in his arms as he continued to calm himself down again. Suddenly, her music seemed to be blaring in his ear drums and Rylan could barely stand it anymore. He looked at the girl, his eyes ablaze. "Just shut the f u c k i n g thing off." Liam stared at him with wide eyes. "Um... Dude, are you sure you're ok? Sorry, about him, he's... Well, he's not himself at the moment. You woke with a nightmare, didn't you?" Liam whispered. Rylan nodded and Liam walked him over to one of the shelves, to let him cool off.

Detention was over and Emma was slowly making her way towards the library. As she walked Drake caught up with her and the two started to actually talk. It's amazing how fast people forget who the person is. Emma wasn't thinking about the fact that he was dating Artemis and she was pretty sure he wasn't think about the fact that Rylan was her twin. They just seemed to flirt, which Emma found a little fun. A smirk was on her face the whole time, but as soon as they got in the library and saw Rylan and Artemis casually talking that seemed to be all over. "Fraternizing with the enemy Rylan?" she asked as she went over with the twin. The smile that was on the boys face dropped and soon the three of them were leaving. There was tension in the air and Emma knew that something had happened while Emma had detention. She probably knew it was something to do with this morning, so she tried not to bring it up, but honestly she couldn't help herself. "What happened?" she asked Rylan. The boy sighed, knowing that this was going to happen. "I had an episode, snapped at Artemis, then I apologized, explaining that I'm not usually like that. Then we just began to talk. I'm sorry for accidentally clicking with her." Sarcasm, lovely. Even though Rylan tried to mask his emotions, she knew that there was a bit of Hayden hiding down there. The sarcasm was just part of it. She's seen her brother snap at small things, it's usually because he was remembering something terrible, but he did none the less. Emma shook her head and didn't ask anymore questions as they finally got to the car. The whole ride their, everyone was silent, per usual. Of course when they go their Rylan sped over to the ramps, not really bothering to wait for either of the two in the car. He was in a pissy mood now and the way he was going to let it go was by skating. Emma went over to the grass and began to the read the book she had found in her brothers bag. At the moment she really had nothing better to do.

                                            So many times I've tried
                                            But I'm still caged inside
Somebody get me through this nightmare
                                            I can't control myself

The last thing Hayden expected to hear was that Danity actually liked him. He was only teasing, not really looking for a confession, but he couldn't help but feel excited. Maybe, there was a chance for them after all. Hayden squeezed her small frame, before letting go. Well, almost, considering as he was letting his arms drop, she moaned from the kiss on her neck. Ok, now that was the last thing he expected to hear. Hayden pulled away and looked down at her with a smirk on his face. "Just a little? Are you sure?" he asked. "Because I'm pretty sure I would not have that sort of affect on you unless you really like me." He kissed her neck. Before really looking at her. Something was on her mind and Hayden couldn't help but feel a little worried. A frown crossed his face and Hayden tightened his hold on her. The girl let out a weird noise and Hayden couldn't help but feel a little more worried. He kissed the top of her head, hoping to calm her down. Hayden opened his mouth to speak, but Danity had beat him too it. Her words stung and made him feel unwelcome. Of course she would be suspicious of why he was here and of course she didn't want him to be here. Hayden let his arms drop from around her and he turned away. "My dad was... Being an a s s. I needed to get away and I thought of you, but if you don't want me, I can sleep in my car," he said through clenched teeth. Hayden headed towards the window, only to have Danity grab his arm. When he looked back, he saw the last thing he needed, worry and pity. He grit his teeth together and looked away from her. Hayden pulled his arm away and ran his hand through his hair. "Look, I don't want to talk about it, ok? I just... want to sleep," he spoke softly. Hayden looked down at his feet, before looking back at Danity. For some reason he couldn't stay mad at her. Up until lately he hasn't been able to stay mad at her. He would be on the verge of exploding and one look at her and everything seemed to just melt away. This time was no different.

Hayden gave her a small smile and kissed her cheek. "I may like you a little too," he whispered before pulling her into the bed. Hayden wrapped his arms around her waist and buried his head in her back. "Night, beautiful." Soon, Hayden was asleep. With Danity in his arms, Hayden was able to sleep a lot better then usual. There was also the fact that he couldn't hear his dad having sex and he couldn't feel the pain that his father had inflicted upon him. Of course when he woke up to Danity waking him up, Hayden couldn't help but feel a little surprised. After the memory of last night came back to him, the boy couldn't help but smile. "Morning," he said as he sat up. He stretched his muscles and then looked at the time. "S h i t." His dad would be up in a matter of minutes and if Hayden wasn't home by the time his dad got up he would definitely get a nice beating before going to school. He scrambled out of Danity's bed and picked his things up. "I'll see you in about... Ten minutes," he said, kissing her cheek. Hayden went back through her window and ran for his car. Now of course, everything that can go bad will. First his keys were not in his pocket, they were in his car. As he started to run home a dog decided it would be fun to chase him. God, damn this was just horrible. The boy booked it home, noting to himself that he would need to set alarm clock whenever he planned to visit Danity. Actually, Hayden kind of planned of doing that again. Minus the getting a shoe thrown at him. Finally, Hayden got home and his dad was luckily, still asleep. The boy let out a sigh of relief and took a quick shower. Once he was back on track, minus the whole car problem, Hayden felt a lot better. Soon enough he found himself at Danity's house with his phone in front of his face. Ok, so maybe he could have unlocked his car with his phone, but he has never used it before, so it would have taken longer to get home. At least that's what he was telling himself. Hayden put his hand out to grab Danity's as he stared at his phone in concentration. Once he felt her small hand enter his, Hayden walked out to his car. "Sorry, I locked myself out and I'm trying to figure out this OnStar thingy. Aha!" he called out as he finally got it figured out. His car was unlocked and now the two were heading to school.

Something about that day felt different then usually. Maybe it was the fact that he had slept over at Danity's or maybe it was something else entirely, but Hayden just knew it was different. He felt more alive and energetic. Something he had never felt. Ok, so he felt energetic as a kid, but with his dad that didn't last long. Once the two arrived at school, Hayden grabbed Danity's hand and laced his fingers through hers. Maybe holding hands was meant for couples, but Hayden wanted to have her hand in his. Who cares what everyone says? They were already practically a couple, she may not see it, but everyone else did. As soon as they walked into the school everyone started to talk. Girls pointed at their joined hands and glared at Danity, while guys were at first shocked, but then they started to glare at Hayden. It seemed that now they were actually holding hands people's hatred towards them intensified. Hayden just hoped Danity wouldn't get threatened by the girls. He knew he would be fine, considering no one messed with Hayden, unless they wanted the crap beat out of them, but for Danity the girls would probably attack her the first chance they got. That of course was something he didn't need to happen. The two walked through the school, trying to ignore everyone, though it was kind of hard, for Hayden at least. If the guys weren't glaring at him they were staring at Danity. It made him want to punch the douche bags, but Hayden resisted considering Danity probably wouldn't approve. He took a deep breath and squeezed the girls hand, trying not to think about it. The bell rang for first period and Hayden walked Danity to class. "I'll see you at lunch," he said as he kissed her cheek and then headed off towards class. A small smile was on his lips as he left. God, he should just ask her out and get it over with, but what if she didn't like him like that. Well, ok she admitted that she did, but that doesn't mean she wants to date him, right? She could have a small crush on him that she just wants gone. Who would date a guy that's constantly getting into fights? Hayden shook his head at himself and headed to class.

All anyone could talk about was Danity and Hayden. Some were making bets of how long they were going to last, some were gossiping about how they got together, some were talking about either how cute they were together or how mismatched they were. Regardless of what was being done or said they were in the middle of it all. Hayden shook his head at himself as he headed to the lunch room. Girls were staring at him, but he just ignored their stares. Now, that they believed he was taken, they were probably all wanting to get down his pants. It was going to get annoying as hell considering they were all going to be throwing themselves at him. He already had a huge group of girls flirt with him and attempt to give him their numbers. God, he was sick of this attention already. Hayden licked his lips as he walked into the cafeteria. Izzy was the first person he spotted, but soon enough he saw the whole group, including Danity at one table. "Hey guys," he said, sitting down next to Danity. He took her hand and gave it a squeeze. Izzy made a face at them and shook his head. "You guys are so lovey dovey! It's gross," the girl said, making Hayden laugh. He looked over at Danity who looked confused. Of course she was confused. She didn't think they were dating. It's not like he officially asked her out or anything and with Danity you have to be blunt in order for her to see what was right in front of her. Hayden just shrugged and kissed her temple. "Whatever Iz, you're just jealous," he said with a chuckle. The girl rolled her eyes and Hayden stuck his tongue out at her.

A little sister? That's all she was viewed as was his little sister? It was so hard to believe and so disappointing. Charlie has had her crush on Jack for forever and she always knew there was no chance in hell that he would ever like her in that way. It was stupid of her to get her hopes up, thinking that he might be feeling something more for her. It was impossible! Jackson was the player at their school, the one girls went to when they wanted to have a little fun with no thought of commitment. Why in the hell would Jack go for a girl who never had her first boyfriend, was inexperienced in every single way, and was too shy to even talk to a boy outside of their little group. If it wasn't for the five she wouldn't have any friends. If course over time Evan, Stella, Melinda, and Gina had all become like family to her. Jack, sort of, but Charlie couldn't help but feel something more for that cocky boy. The girl gnawed at her bottom lip, as the walked to the cafeteria, fighting the urge to run off and cry. She wanted him to like her in a different way, but of course he wouldn't and it just made her want to hide in a corner and cry. No, she had to act like things were normal. He would just freak out if she did. Either that or he would figure out that she had a massive crush on him. Of course with how everyone else in their group already figured out that she liked him, she was sure he was too dense to really put the pieces together. Regardless she followed him, not wanting to risk him finding out. It would only make things more awkward between them and that was the last thing she needed. Charlie shrugged off Jack's arm, not wanting to feel the tingly sensations he was sending through her body. The girl pushed some of her hair behind her ear and took a deep breath. She rubbed her arm and ignored the stares as they once again entered the cafeteria. The place was a little more lively and Charlotte had a feeling she knew why. The stupid jock band, Dystopia, was panning a concert and of course Jacob announced it. Not only did it make the excitement intensify, but also the hatred, since that was the concert that they were opening for.

"Exactly," he said, as Gina spoke about the name he had come up with. A wide smile crossed his face and he looked over at the other girl's with a confident grin. They both just rolled their eyes and went back to their food, whispering to each other. Evan frowned, not liking the fact that they were whispering to each other. Not only that, but they kept looking over at him and Gina, then they would go into a fit of giggles. The male narrowed his at them, before looking over at Gina. He opened his mouth to speak, only to have Jacob to announce their upcoming concert. Of course by advertising for themselves, they were also advertising for his band. Ok, it wasn't his band, but still. Then again they could be telling everyone to arrive when they start. Now, that would just be embarrassing, if there was no one when the band started to perform. He swallowed hard and started to eat his food. The tension at the table grew and Evan just knew that this was all starting to get to Gina. He knew her and knew that she wouldn't just ditch them, right? Suddenly, he didn't feel so sure. She was one of his best friends, he didn't want her to leave. Besides she was suppose to be different and not like those superficial, vapid jocks she called friends. Ok, yes Gina was one of them, being a jock and all, but she wasn't one to just ditch. He grit his teeth together at the thought, hoping beyond hope that he was right. The blonde turned her attention towards him and started to speak about Dani. Evan was furious. It was plain on his face, that and the pain he felt as she stood up and started to walk away. "Gina!" he called out, but she continued to walk. "F u c k!" He banged his hands on the table, startlingly the girls. Not soon after she left, Jackson and Charlie showed up. He squeezed his hands together, listening as Stella and Jack talked about what had just happened. He shut his eyes and tried to keep himself calm. Evan wasn't one to get angry and yet he was beyond pissed. Gina had ditched them to save face and now they were left to fend for themselves.

Just like that Gorgina had chosen her jock buddies over them, the people she has been friends with longer then anyone at this stupid school. "I hate this," she whispered, blinking back tears. Her body slumped against Jackson's, ignoring the feeling she got from it. Everyone frowned at her, before going back to eat. Well, everyone except Evan. He looked ready to go and kill somebody, which was unlikely him. The boy considered himself a lover, not a fighter and yet here he was about ready to go ape s h i t on everyone in the room. The girl took a deep, shaking breath and wrapped her small arms around Jackson and buried her face into his side. Of course he wouldn't think much of it. A sigh escaped her lips, but slowly the girl started to calm down, regardless. Charlie shifted a little and rested her head against his side instead, ignoring the mischievous looks that Stella and Melinda were giving them. Evan didn't seem anymore calm then before and she hoped that he was going to be ok. Slowly, Charlotte released her hold on Jack as she started to calm down, well for the most part. She was still trying to calm her beating heart from holding the boy. She sat up straight and started to push her salad around the bowl, not feeling very hungry. A sigh escaped her lips and the whole table continued to be silent. Charlie didn't know what to say and even if she did, would she say it? Probably not... God, why did she have to be such a coward? The girl took a deep breath trying to calm herself down. Today was not the day to be freaking out. She needed to get herself under control. So, that's what she did. Charlie didn't think about her crush who was sitting next to her, as always, she didn't think about Gina or the fact that Evan was about to lose his cool. She even pushed all the glares to the back of her mind and focused on her breathing. Finally, she could feel a sense of being calm, making a small smile slip onto her face. "It will always amaze me how you can just... Calm yourself," Stella piped up as she smiled at Charlie. The blonde shrugged and took a bit of her food.

No, matter what he did, Evan could not calm himself down. He tried erasing himself from the equation, counting down from ten, even picturing something calm. Nothing worked. With everything he tried, Gina popped into his mind and he felt pissed once again. It was like she had a grasp on him and was determined not to let go. It was going to drive him nuts at the rate it was going. Even Charlie got herself to calm down and smile. He knew he needed to calm down and yet he couldn't. It was like his mind just didn't want to let go of the fact that they were ditched. Sure, the others weren't jumping to conclusions yet, but Evan knew she wasn't going to be sitting with them or talking to them anymore. It made him so angry that she could just ditch them like that, without a second thought. Not being able to take it anymore he stood up, making everyone at the table look at him. "I'll be down in the basement if anyone needs me," he said, through clenched teeth. His fists were still balled up at his sides as he stalked out, giving one last glance to Gina, his stare icy and angry. Whether she saw it or not, he had no idea. Now, for the basement, where he knew he could calm down. The basement was where they held their practices, since that's where their band first started. Plus, that's also where their music teacher, Mr. Knox, class was. He let them use his room whenever they wanted, as long as they kept the place clean and didn't ruin anything. Mr. Knox was the only teacher who would let him use his room, or at least that was their conclusion. Evan shook his head as he walked into the room and sat down at his keyboard. There was a tentative knock and Charlie popped her head in. "Hey... You ok?" she asked in a small voice. Evan's face faltered and for a second she knew he was hurt by Gina's betrayal. The younger girl went to her friend instantly and wound her arms around him, allowing him to just let go. Evan held her tightly, as if he would just cease to exist if he did let go and buried his face in her hair. Finally, he could feel himself clam down.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx- - - MCKENZIE ELOISE RHINEHART
My hands, don't wanna start again
                                            My hands, no, they don't wanna u n d e r s t a n d
My hands, they just shake and try to break whatever p e a c e I may find

McKenzie sent a glare in the male's direction and she couldn't help but punch him in the arm, even if it wasn't very hard. "And no one likes to be a pretentious a s s and yet some just are," she said giving him an icy glare. McKenzie did her best to ignore Sebastian, well until he was right up in her face. Her eyes went wide as she looked at him, her heart beating quickly. Once he walked away, she slumped against the stool and took deep calming breaths. He wasn't suppose to have that type of affect on her. It was suppose to make her angry and yet she felt... Giddy. McKenzie shook her head and pulled off her sweatshirt, before grabbing her goggles. She didn't even think about the fact that her bracelet could get her into trouble. There was no way he was going to get her to react that way again. At least that's what she keeps telling herself. She couldn't even let him see what type of effect he had on her. Just let him assume that she was always angry with him. "Well, look at that, he does have a brain," she said, watching as he pulled out a beaker and began working. Pulling out a notebook, she scribbled something done and then waited for Sebastian to finish getting everything ready. As she was observing what the magnesium did, she wrote everything done, biting her lip every now and then. The young girl let out a yawn, trying to stifle it. God, this class can be so boring, even with doing experiments. McKenzie barely even heard the teacher speak. "Whatever," she mumbled, not really listening to him. They continued to work and Seb decided to play twenty questions. Sure. he claimed that they could get to know each other, but he never let her ask any questions. It was almost as if he was afraid of something. At his next question, Mac raised an eyebrow and gave him a questioning look. "No..." she spoke slowly, gauging his reaction. "No, guy at this school likes a nerd, who reads ever chance she gets. Why?" At the moment, McKenzie didn't really want to know the answer to that question. Guys only asked that question when they were interested in a girl and sure, Mac knew he was interested in her, but it still kind of shocked her. Well, unless this was all some sort of sick game. That made more sense to her then anything else.

At his comment about being a damsel in distress, Rylee couldn't help but burst out laughing. It was definitely not something you would expect a guy to say. Well, at least he's not afraid to admit that he needed help. She shook her head at him. "You're not afraid to admit you need help... I like that," she said, winking at him. After a bit things went silent between them and Rylee was just staring off into space. Sure, she was looking in the general direction of the jocks, but she wasn't really paying attention to them. If you looked closely you would see that her eyes were glassed over. Of course Nate didn't really notice, but Rylee didn't care. The three boys sent her a smile, but she gave none in response. She was lost in thought as it was and she wasn't here to get down their pants. Of course that was fun, but right now she just wasn't interested. Her mind was elsewhere at that moment. She couldn't help but think about what Sebastian was doing. He was in the middle of Chemistry with the naive human, McKenzie. Sure, she was certain that the girl would keep to herself, but she knew Seb was more likely to do something with Nathaniel and herself not there. Rylee clenched her fists just in time for one of the a s s holes to come over and talk to her... Well, he went to talk to Nate, but he was aiming to talk to her. A party? What a bore! Sure sometimes they were fun, but nine times out of ten all it was, was people dancing, puking, drinking, and making out. What fun was that? The first time Rylee went she couldn't stand to stay long. All the guys were hitting on her and one actually tried to kiss her. Now, that was an experience she would rather not deal with again. "Yeah, no. You see I don't do drunks who try to kiss girls just because they think they can," she said, crossing her arms over her chest. Chad stared at her surprised. He has obviously never been rejected before. A smirk crossed her face at the thought and Rylee couldn't help but laugh. Of course that also meant he didn't take rejection well. Chad tried to convince her to go, he even pulled her to the side, telling her that he would make it worth her while.

Telling him the truth about being single was probably one of the biggest mistakes. He was all over her, in a sense. Sure, he didn't touch her a whole lot, but damn he was so close, that McKenzie could smell his shampoo. It smelled good too, so she had to resist taking a sniff. He kept talking and flirting with her and the more he did it, the hotter her face felt. At the rate he was going, her whole face would look like a tomato. McKenzie slapped her hands to her face, instantly cooling it off. Of course this only made him notice her current state. She could sense the smirk that was growing on his face. With a sigh, she let her head drop to the table with a thunk. "Ow..." she mumbled not paying attention to the funny looks she was receiving from everyone. The one bright side, was that he wasn't giving her cheesy pick up lines. In all honesty if Mac wasn't wary of who Sebastian was and his reputation, she would probably fall all over him. Maybe, she should pretend to be interested to get him to back off. If she was suddenly turn into one of those girls that were oogling at him, he would probably lost interest. That was the theory, right, want what you can't have? She was playing hard to get and boys like Sebastian were all for a little chase. The instant he would get her, he would probably just give up. It would allow her to be free of all this; the constant glares from Rylee and any other girl, the flirting from Sebastian, and of course the staring. It would make it where she could actually think for once. McKenzie rubbed her temples, thinking about her new found option. Though it gets the results she wants, it wasn't something to really wanted to do. It was just a theory and if she wasn't careful it could backfire, she could actually fall for Seb and then where would she be? Dumped and left heart broken. No, she was not going to go through that, not if she can help it at least. Of course there was that nagging feeling in the back of her mind, telling her that Sebastian really was different from the other bad boys at their school. She shook her head, not wanting to think about it at that moment.

The guy would just not quit, would he? Rylee was so sick of listening to this guy talk that she just blurted something out randomly. "I'm going somewhere with Nate," she said. Maybe Nate wasn't the smartest person to bring up, since he just said that he was going to the party, but Rylee was panicked and Nate was the first one to pop up. Chad stared at her with wide eyes, then looked at her with a calculated gaze. By then Rylee had masked her emotions, showing that she was bored instead of worried. He still didn't by it though. "Yeah right," the male mumbled. Rylee rolled her eyes and walked back over to Nate. She needed to get him to admit that they were doing something that night, though she hoped beyond belief that he wouldn't make a date out of it. Rylee took a deep breath as she approached the boy. "You know you shouldn't lie to people, we had plans remember?" she asked looking at Nate with pleading eyes. Slowly, the boy nodded and then started to talk to Chad about it. God, what a relief! Rylee sat down on the weight bench that she was closest too and didn't really pay attention for the rest of the class period, this time keeping her eyes down at the ground. Once class was over, Rylee hurried out of the weight room and into the girl's locker room. She just wanted to be out of there, out of the school, but of course the day wasn't over yet. A sigh escaped her lips as she left the room, now changed and headed towards her math class.

As they held each other, Evan slowly started to calm down. Charlotte could actually feel him calm down and in turn it made her less worried about her friend. They stayed that way for a bit longer, before starting to pull apart. A shout was heard from the door, making Charlie and Evan jump in surprise. As soon as their eyes landed on Jack they pulled apart instantly, as if they had been caught doing something bad. All Charlie was doing was comforting her friend and yet Jackson seemed angry and... Jealous? No, that couldn't be right, Charlie had to be reading his emotions wrong. Not wanting to think about it, the girl looked down at her feet, not really listening as Jack yelled at them. He turned his attention away from Charlie and focused solely on Evan, telling him that she was their little sister or like their little sister. The phrase once again made her heart stop. Knots formed in her stomach and she knew this time she was going to cry. She just had to get out of there, before they saw that she was going to cry. Charlotte twirled her hair between her fingers and held back the tears for as long as she could. Even when Evan looked at her with worry and concern, she held them back. There was no way she was going to cry in front of either of these boys. Not at this moment at least. With Jackson last words still in the air, Charlie ran out of the room, hoping neither of them followed her, especially not Jackson. If he did, he would ask questions and Charlie wasn't to lie about anything. Well, almost anything, sure she had her moments, but she was only human. With Jackson she would probably spill everything, which would only make things awkward between them. She bit her lip as she ran, feeling the tears finally fall down her face. All she would ever be to Jack is a little sister. She could deal with that. Today she would cry over her broken heart, but after that she was going to just let it go. At least that's what she planned on doing. Everything is easier said then done, especially when it comes to the crush she had on Jack, which was huge. She's been pining over him since what? Second semester of her Freshmen year? That was the same year their little group becoming friends.

All hell broke loose as soon as Jackson walked in. Evan knew the boy had gotten the wrong idea as soon as he yelled at them. Of course when he yelled at Evan about Charlie being like their little sister, he couldn't help but feel sympathy for the girl. Evan had a little sister himself and he could tell anyone that the way Jackson acted around Charlie was not the way a protective brother acted around his sister. Jack protected Charlie in a way a boyfriend would protect his girlfriend. It was also obvious that he was jealous, that made Evan smirk, but it soon disappeared as Charlie ran from the room, probably on the verge of tears. He let out a sigh and shook his head. "You're an idiot! She was comforting me nothing more. Stop acting like a jealous a s s," he said, before following after his friend. Evan had a feeling that Charlie wanted to be alone, but that didn't stop him. He wanted to make sure the poor girl was ok and besides lunch was about over, which means if any of the popular kids saw her, she would be made fun of for sure. Evan ran like all hell broke loose at the thought. After all that has happened today, Charlie didn't need to be teased and picked on as well. "Loser!" a voice called out from down the hall and Evan's gut wrenched. Once he arrived he saw the bullies ganging up on poor Charlotte. "Back off!" he yelled and soon enough everyone dispersed. The poor girl was on her knees crying and Evan knew there was no way she was going back to class.

                                                  End of Week

The rest of the week was hectic and crazy. Tensions between the members grew more and more and things had become a bit awkward between Charlotte and Jackson. She avoided him since it hurt to think about what he had said. Sure, she had tried to get over the fact that she would never have him, not like she had a chance anyways, but she just couldn't. He was always on her mind, but she had kept that to herself. It's not like she wanted to, but the one person she would have told was ignoring them now, which made her feel even worse. It was the week before their concert and nothing was going their way. Charlie chewed on her bottom lip as she made her way into the school, not even seeing Jack until she ran into him. "Sorry," she mumbled, starting to blush. She looked up at his grey eyes, making her want to shiver. The girl held it back and gave him a tentative smile, before dashing off towards the school. She clutched her books to her chest, making her knuckles turn white. Once she was at the front entrance, Charlie turned around to look back at Jack. Only she didn't see him. He wasn't where she had left him. A confused look crossed her face and she started to search for him, only to have him pop up right in front of her. She let out a squeak of surprise and stared at Jack with wide eyes. "M-morning," she stuttered. As soon as that word left she started to beat herself up... Well, mentally of course. She was about to walk away in shame when Jackson grabbed her and pulled her down to the basement. Jesus, what was this boy doing? She stared after her long time crush with huge eyes, wondering what he wanted. Butterflies erupted in her stomach and tingles shot down her arm once she realized that Jackson was holding it. It made her hope that maybe he did like her in the way that she liked him.

By the end of the week, Evan had mostly calmed down over the whole Gina thing. He was still sour about it and no one talked about the fact that she had ditched them, since he still got snappy whenever they did. No one even talked about the concert anymore. It seemed that everyone's spirits were down, even his, who was the crazy one! He was suppose to be able to cheer them up, but this time, he just couldn't a sigh passed through his lips as he walked down the hall. He pulled a hand through his hair and looked down at the floor as if it held all the secrets of the world. The next thing he knew, was that he was colliding into someone. Dropping all his things, Evan reached out to steady the person. For a second he didn't even realize who he was holding, but it soon clicked that it was Gina he had just run into. He let her go, as the pain he had been suppressing all week flashed across his face. No, he wasn't trying to make her feel guilty, it just happened. Seeing her made him think of the betrayal she had put them all through, the hurt she had put on him, everything. He swallowed hard and looked away. Finally, he decided it was time to leave, brushing past her. As he walked he fought the urge to look back at her. If she was no longer going to acknowledge their presence, would she he acknowledge hers?

He understood what I meant! Oh, thank god! A smile passed my lips and I nodded, before we started to run once again. There was going to be no resting was there? It had been so long since the last time I ran like this. Not since the day I was taken to the capitol. I bit my lip, not really wanting to think about it. I had to wonder if my family was watching now. If they saw their little girl running around, mute and in constant danger. Did the rebels even let this air? I bit my lip, not wanting to think about it. It doesn't matter what the rebels do or don't do. At this moment all that mattered was surviving. With that, I pushed all the thoughts to the back of my mind and continued to run even as my lungs burned for oxygen and my legs felt like they were made of lead. We also had another problem, nothing to drink. We would have to go back to the cornucopia to get a drink. I didn't like the idea of going back there. Even though half these kids didn't know how to defend themselves, let alone think about protecting the water hole, but there were a good amount that had natural skills and picked up on quite a few things that would help them survive. Those were the ones that I was afraid of. Sure, I was a good fighter and Oliver was strong, but there are bound to be more of them then there would be of us. It's been a long time since I was in a real fight and no, the one at training doesn't count. Finally, we stopped and I was able to take deep breaths. I didn't even notice Oliver sit down until he pulled me down next to him. With both of us sitting, he grabbed a handful of dirt and started to mix his sweat with it, trying to make it as muddy as possible. I made a disgusted look at it and I was shocked when he had started to rub it into his hair instead of mine. A grin slipped on my face as I watched him do this. He didn't need to do it and yet here he was rubbing dirt and crap into his hair. It made me feel like I could really trust this guy for some reason, but I knew I had to keep my distance. I was going to be killing him at one point and I didn't need to feel that guilt. I didn't need to feel like I betrayed him.

Slowly, the boy made his way to me with a smirk on his face. I watched with wide eyes, almost afraid like he had a trick up his sleeves, but I knew it was just because he was going to be rubbing the dirt in my hair. What was he expecting? For me to squirm and try to resist? I may be a girl, but I wasn't one who was afraid to be dirty. I'm an avox, a rebel, someone who has to get down and dirty in order to do her work. So, I eyed him as if he was crazy and chuckled lightly, or at least my body shook as if I had. Oliver started to rub the crap into my hair and I couldn't help but frown. Sure, I was more then willing to get dirty, when needed, but that doesn't mean I liked it. I stuck my tongue out at Oliver as he worked the mud into my hair. "Gross,"[/color[ I mouthed to him, hoping he was able to read lips. If not, he was going to have to learn quickly. Either that or we would have to come up with some sort of signal. Either way something was going to have to be done about our... Communication problem. As soon as he was done, I allowed myself to relax a bit. We probably weren't going to be staying long, but I still needed to have a moment of forgetfulness. I knew it wasn't going to last long either, which is why I was ready when there was even a slight rustle in the trees. I stood up, bringing Oliver with me and ran once again. My mouth was still dry from the last run, but that didn't stop me. I wasn't going to let it stop Oliver either. I kept a firm grip on his hand and weaved through the trees. There was no stopping until my side finally started to hurt and I needed to breath. I placed my hands behind my head and looked up at the sky. Slowly, the pain went away, allowing me too look down. As I looked at Oliver, I wondered what we were going to do about water and communication. I bit my lip in thought and looked down at the ground. We should have probably come up with a system before we were sent into the arena. With a shake of my head, I grabbed a stick and wrote into the dirt, 'System?' I looked up at Oliver and pointed at it, hoping he understood what I was saying.

I stared up at Amelia, hoping to god she wouldn't kill me. Of course I thought my hopes were pointless. Why wouldn't she kill me? We're enemies. Regardless of what we do, she was bound to kill me or I was bound to kill her. It didn't matter if we decided to make an alliance or not. The pain that shot through my torso was excruciating, but I didn't have time to react as she wrapped her fingers around my throat. I scratched at her hands, trying to free myself from her grasp. As I was starting to see spots she let go. Recognition passed her face and I had to wonder why she let go. If she recognized me, shouldn't she just kill me? It didn't matter right now, though. I needed to catch my breath. I sucked in big gulps of air and slowly started to get up as she got off. From the way she held herself, I could tell she was getting ready to fight me again. I really didn't want to do this, not now anyways. I could barely wrap my head around my first kill, I didn't need to think about another murder. Regardless I held my weapon ready. I watched as Amelia got ready to pounce, only to have Willow and Katherine come crashing through, making Amelia freeze. She looked between the three of us, as she slowly backed up. "Wait!" Katherine called out, making me want to call her an idiot. Of course I resisted, since right now was not the right moment. My friend started to go in her whole thing about being allies. Oh, god! This had to be why no one said yes. My head was spinning just from her talking for a couple of seconds. Even Willow looked annoyed. "Katherine! Shove it, no one wants to hear it," I said, knowing full well that she was going to kill me for that... Probably both figuratively and literally. It didn't matter right now, though. We didn't need Amelia anyways and Katherine was only to going to get herself killed if she kept going. Suddenly, there was laughter and I looked at Willow as she laughed and pointed at Katherine's face. I looked at my friend who looked totally shocked and I couldn't hold it back either.

There was movement behind Amelia and I knew someone had found us. A twelve year old boy looked at us through the trees, looking ready to kill Amelia. Though I was no good at spear throwing, I did anyways. The boy's eyes went wide with shock and I was even shocked as it hit him in the stomach. A gurgle noise escaped his mouth as he slumped to the ground. My second kill and he was only twelve. God, what was I becoming? A frown slipped onto my face and I carefully made my way around Amelia to pull the spear out of his body. At that point, I couldn't hold in the gag as more blood spilled from his lips. Walking away from the body, I puked. Why would anyone do this? It was cruel and wasn't fair in the least. I leaned against one of the trees and took slow deep breaths. Someone wrapped their arms around my body and I knew Willow was trying to make me feel better. Eventually I opened my eyes to see that Amelia had gone... And so had Katherine. Man, she must have been really pissed, but right now that didn't matter. I pushed myself off the tree and started to walk in a random direction. We had been standing in one place for too long and now we needed to move. With a sigh we started to just walk turning whenever we felt like it. The thought of water was nagging at the back of my mind, but I pushed it away, knowing we would look for some later. That was when I remembered my backpack. With a smile I stopped and started to rifle through it. There wasn't much, a bottle of water, some dried meat, and rope. It was all enough for one person, which meant that we were definitely going to want to figure out how we were going to be eating tonight. I pulled the water out and took a small, tentative sip, before giving it over to Willow. We both did this for a bit, until the water was at about half and I knew we had to stop.

ooc ;; it sucks... so bad -_-

God, she wished he would stop getting so worried. It always got her hopes up and then they would just come crashing back down, like he slapped her. Charlie closed her eyes and put her hands over her face, trying to make the tears stop. She listened to him talk and she let her hands fall from her face, hoping he didn't notice the tears she was holding back. "I'm... I'm not going to leave you guys. I ju-just needed t-time to think about... T-t-things," she stuttered. Charlie's face turned beet red. "I don't w-w-want our f-friendship to be over, b-b-but I'm..." She couldn't even finish her sentence before the tears started to fall. She tried to push them away, but they just continued to fall. Charlie grabbed Jack's shirt and pulled him to her, needing his comfort. Without hesitation she buried her face into his chest and sobbed. After a bit he wrapped his arms around her and Charlie couldn't help, but clutch him closer to her. Everything had been crazy as of late and she was glad that Jackson still showed his concern for her. "Don't... Don't b-be angry, p-p-please. I-I can't take y-you being angry a-as well." She wrapped her arms around his torso, holding him closer to her. Charlotte just wanted to tell him everything. She wanted to tell him how she felt about him, how he had hurt her when he told her that she was just a sister to him. Everything wanted to pour out of her mouth, but of course Charlie had to hold it all back. "I like you, that's why I'm avoiding you," she whispered, making sure he couldn't hear her. When she finally stopped crying, Charlie pulled away and looked up at her friend. Maybe it was for the best that their relationship didn't go beyond what it was. It could really mess with not only their friendship, but also the band. Well, if they had a nasty break up and with Jackson's reputation that wouldn't be surprising. She rubbed her hand against her eyes and quickly kissed her crush on the cheek. "Thank you... For caring enough to worry," she said, giving him a real smile. Charlie turned on her heel and left the room, knowing they needed to get to class. As she walked out, she turned and waved at a very shocked and confused Jack.

Everything passed by in a blur. Evan couldn't keep his thoughts on one thing for too long. He kept thinking about poor Charlie and her situation with Jack and then Gina kept popping up in his mind. Sure, he was mad at her, but for some reason he kept feeling like it was something more. Not that he was more then angry, but that his anger was fueled by something else. Of course that had to be impossible since they were just friends. It would be weird if he liked her more then that. Of course there was the fact that Evan took her betrayal the hardest. Stella and Melinda were still convinced that Gina would eventually come back and Charlie has been too busy with the whole Jack situation to get too upset over everything. Of course if Jack wasn't being an idiot, maybe Charlie would have time to really get upset over the fact that her best friend had ditched them. Evan shook the thoughts from his head, knowing if he kept going he would end up in the same place all over again. Regardless, Evan wasn't paying attention to where he was going, nor was he paying attention to the blonde that was running right for him. At least he didn't notice until he was on the ground in pain with a girl laying on top of him. "F u c k that hurt," he mumbled, letting out a groan. Slowly he looked at the person he had crashed into and laughed as he saw Gina. Was this going to be a new thing of theirs? Always running into each other... Literally? God, he hoped not. Not only was it painful from the contact, but the feelings would stir up inside him and he just wanted to forget. Of course he couldn't this was Gina for Christ's sake... Wait, what was that suppose to mean? He frowned in thought and got up as Gina did. She so did not seem happy with him at all. The next thing he knew, she was yelling at him and he was yelling back. They inched closer and closer, trying to prove their point and when he was inches from her face, Evan had the sudden urge to kiss her. His yelling stopped and he froze. Holy s h i t... He liked her, as in more then a friend. No wonder Melinda and Stella kept giving them knowing looks.

For the rest of the day, Charlie couldn't stop thinking about the fact that she had kissed Jack. Sure, it was on the cheek, but that was just something she never did. Even during lunch she kept getting so lost in thought that everyone was snapping their fingers in front of her face, every so often. Of course it didn't help that she was sitting next to Jack again. It made her wonder if he could hear her heart beat. It was so loud and fast that it seemed the whole room could hear it. Before Charlie knew it, school was over and she was heading down to practice. She had two new songs she wanted to show everyone and even Stella had one. As Charlie walked she looked down at the notebook in her hand that held her songs in it. Sure, she was always writing songs, but that was for herself. What was everyone going to say about them. She bit her lip as she walked, hoping that they liked what she wrote. Evan already did since he had added his raps to them, but did that everyone else would too? Who knows. She took a couple deep breaths to calm her nerves and walked into the band room. Stella and Melinda were already sitting around waiting for all of them to show up. Looking everything over she couldn't help, but feel her heart pound into her chest. She was nervous about more then the song. What if Jack wanted to talk to her about the kiss on the cheek? What if he demanded to know? Charlie was sure, that she wouldn't be able to keep it from him. Not with the way things were going anyways. He was bound to get suspicious, he was bound to figure out that her feelings for him weren't purely platonic. Charlie bit her lip and looked up at her friends. "What's wrong Charlie?" Melinda asked looking at her friend in concern. Charlie took a deep breath and went and sat with them on the couch. "I... I don't know what to do. What if Jack starts asking questions? I can't stand to lie to him... But, I have to," she said, burying her face in her hands. The two girls let out a sigh, knowing exactly what she's talking about. hell, everyone but Jackson would understand what she was saying.

After a moment of silence between the two of them, which was just filled with them staring at each other, Evan did what any sensible person would do; he ran like hell in the opposite direction. It was stupid and he should have probably tried to talk to her, but he just couldn't. These feelings he was having for her were new and foreign. Ok, so they weren't new in the least, Evan has had his fair share of crushes and girlfriends, but they were never for his best friend. It felt weird and wrong, almost, but wonderful and oh, so right at the same time. The boy shook his head at the thought and focused on getting to band practice. He had gone the whole day avoiding Gina like she was the plague. Hell, he didn't even go to lunch. Well, he did, he just did it off campus. It made life a hell of a lot easier. Ok, sure he was being a little immature and stupid about the whole thing, but he needed to sort the jumbled mess of thoughts and feelings. It felt like he should just push these feelings away as if they're nothing. They couldn't mean anything, right? Maybe, it was just because he missed her. If she were to come back to their little group, everything would go back to being normal. Of course the feeling that this has been going on for awhile nagged at him. He needed to talk to someone about this and the first person that popped into his head was Jackson. God, he was going to get a whole round of 'I told you so.' He really didn't want to hear it, but Jack was the best person to talk to about this. Sure, there was the girls, but that would upset Charlie, and Stella and Melinda would hound him for every little detail. He knew that Jack would listen, make fun, but not really go any further then that. They were guys, you couldn't expect them to stay on the subject of feelings and emotions for long. What Evan needed was for someone to listen and let him vent, then they can move on. The boy nodded to himself as he headed down to the basement, now he just needed to ask Jack to come over without the girls finding anything out. If they did he would not hear the end of it. At least if they learned the reason why Jackson was going to be coming over.
