Bottom line is: it's couples who are truly right for each other wade through the same crap as everybody else, but the big difference is they don't let it take them down. One of those two people will stand up and fight for that relationship every time. If it's right, and they're real lucky, one of them will say something.)

Story
It focuses on Mayoko Sato as she is cursed by a witched named Yumi Tsukamoto to live with disturbing nightmares that plague her everyday life as they seem to come to life. A lot of Mayoko's dreams are dreams within dreams, which confuses viewers whether or not Mayoko is in the dream world or real world. Creatures that roam Mayoko's dreams often appear in the real world.

1. When It All Began (Sore wa Subete ga Hajimatta Toki ni) - Mayoko's curse that Yumi gives her begins.
2. Don't Pick Up The Phone (Denwa o Pikkuappu Shinaide Kudasai.) - In one dream, Mayoko is babysitting two kids when a stranger (Yumi as a man) repeatedly calls her, she realizes that she's being called by a serial killer that has a history of killing babysitters. After it was revealed to be a dream, Mayoko finds on the news that a babysitter had been killed.
3. The Creepy (Bukimina) - In one dream, Mayoko is locked in a train station and finds herself being stalked by a hideously deformed killer (Yumi) living in the sewers below. Mayoko manages to escape as she wakes up in the train station.
4. Rot (Fuhai) - Mayoko's dreams are haunted by a girl named Saya, an old classmate of Mayoko's whose murder she witnessed.
5. Final Stab (Saigo no Sutabu) - In one dream, Mayoko is at a murder mystery weekend with a group of people and what seems to be just for pretend turns out to be real. At the end of the episode, Mayoko is revealed to be the killer and escapes as she is horrified at what she's done.
6. A Werewolf In Tokyo (Tōkyō no ōkami) - In one dream, a werewolf is loose in Tokyo that mauls Mayoko and her brother, Kikugoro. They then learns that they must kill their attacker if they hope to change their fate to avoid becoming werewolves too.
7. Draw Her Blood (Kanojo no Chi o Hiku) - Mayoko is tormented by her rival classmate, Sakura Iwakura. At night, she has a dream where the roles are reversed where Mayoko is the popular girl and picks on a girl who looks like Sakura with braids and glasses. The Sakura-look-alike comes up with a plan to kill Mayoko. Two friends of the Sakura-look-alike try to stop her before she can do it. In reality, Mayoko is the one about to kill Sakura but is stopped by Tamotsu and Usagi with the help of Rintaro.
8. The Japanese Axe Massacre (Nippon no Akkusu no Gyakusatsu) - Mayoko has a dream where she's at a party and there's a serial killer on the loose when in reality, Mayoko is the killer and the victims are Sakura's crew. In the dream, the killer is wearing a black robe with a hood, a skull mask, and an axe in their hand and outside in the real world, Mayoko is wearing the same outfit. After she wakes up, she takes off her mask and sees what she's done and escapes but not before she sets the house where the party was held at on fire.
9. The Uninvited (Igyō Seimei-tai) - Mayoko is starting to see her dead older sister, Mayuko, in both her dreams and in the real world. She is then convinced that Mayuko is still alive and begins to hallucinate. Mayoko and Mayuko later read up on their neighbor Isako Kurogane and hears about her sinister past about how she killed her lover's sister because she was getting in the way of their relationship which is what Isako tries to do to Mayoko. This backfires when Mayuko ends up killing Isako instead. The girls comfort each other, and Kikugoro, their brother and Isako's new lover, comes home. Mayoko explains that Isako attacked them and Mayuko saved her. Confused, Kikugoro says that Mayuko died in the fire. Mayoko sees she's not holding Mayuko's hand like she thought, but the bloody knife. More events happened such as Mayoko remembering Mayuko's death and then her being arrested in the end. This turns out to be a dream but Mayuko is still dead and Isako is unharmed.10. Black Pig (Kuro Buta) - In one dream, Mayoko is apart of a Gothic lesbian cult. A girl apart of the cult has a crush on her but Mayoko doesn't return the feelings because of her not being a lesbian but pretending to be. It's then revealed a man whose head shaped like a pig, known as Black Pig, kills members who are pretending to be lesbians which happens often in their cult. Mayoko is sent to Black Pig after her secret gets out. When she thinks she meets Rintaro, she passes out and Black Pig appears and begins licking her. 11. Berries (Eki Hate-rui): Mayoko's dreams seem to be happening in the real world even when she's not alseep in this episode as strange occurences happen after her brother, Kikugoro, drafts the berries in their garden.
12. Berries 2: Roof Tiles (Berī 2: Kawara): The 2nd part to 'Berries' except Mayoko is wearing different clothes. Even more strange occurences happen where Mayoko becomes obsessed with wanting to fix the roof tiles to her house. It features her dead father whom appears to be abusive despite Mayoko saying in "A Werewolf In Tokyo" how gentle her father was.
13. Dark Parody (Dākuparodī): The show makes fun of itself. In this episode, the anime relies more on comedy than it does on horror. It's also a spoof on horror movies all over the world, mostly American horror films and J-Horror (which they make tons of references to). Mayoko, her friends, and the humanoid creatures that inhabit her dreams are trapped in a mansion that is cursed. The creatures that appear look more human in this episode.

MOVING ON. Someone messaged me about this anime called 'She Who Dreams Darkness' and just as I suspected, it was a horror anime. Of course, you all know how much of a p***y I am when it comes to horror. At first I was like "No, this is too disturbing, why did I watch the first episode???" After a while I fell in love with this anime and now I've made an AMV for it.

1. There's A Liar On The Loose! / Rūsu no Raiā ga Aru! / ルースのライアーがある！
Choei Matsuoka is tired of the single life. After overhearing a group of boys talk about girlfriends, they ask Matsuoka if he has one. Not wanting to feel like a loser, he lies and tells them that he does. When asked, he thinks of the first girl that comes to mind: Mayoko Sato, the smartest girl in school. Amongst the boys were Kosaku Honda, Matsuoka's best friend, and Daishin Fukui, an occasional friend of Matsuoka. The boys believe him and Matsuoka feels stupid for saying he is dating a girl he had never seen or spoken to in his life. Class starts and Asako Tsumura, Matsuoka's teacher, reveals that a student will be transferring into their class this year. Matsuoka is shocked when he learns the transferred student is Sato herself. Thus, Matsuoka spends most of his time trying to get Sato's attention but fails time after time. Honda becomes suspicious on why Matsuoka's own girlfriend is ignoring him, causing Matsuoka to come up with excuses. By the end of the episode, Matsuoka manages to get Sato's attention and tells her what he did. He ends up pleading her to be his pretend girlfriend. Although reluctant at first, Sato agrees to do so. Soon, Matsuoka hatches a plan to use his relationship with Sato in order to gather the attention of the real girl he desires to be with, Mizuho Takenaka.

2. Believe It Or Not / Shinji Rarenai Kamo Shiremasenga / 信じられないかもしれませんが
At dinner, Matsuoka reveals to his family that he has a girlfriend. This announcement prompts his little sister, Himiko, to ask the question, "Girlfriend? Who wants to date you?". However, his other family members seem to believe him and feel happy for him. His parents, Sonoma and Hisamoto, both agree that they should meet their son's girlfriend. Matsuoka tells them it won't be necessary, only agreeing to do so after he gets tired of Himiko saying his girlfriend is not real. He calls up Sato and they meet the next day where Matsuoka tells her that his family want to meet her. Sato agrees to come, but realizes she might not be able to because she has yet to tell her own parents. Matsuoka tells her to tell them tonight (which is when Matsuoka's parents want to meet her). She does so and Sato's parents, Fukumi and Mitsugi, have the same reaction as Matsuoka's did. Sato manages to get out of the house to meet up with Matsuoka, only for her parents to say they would like to meet Matsuoka too, which she promises to do so. Arriving at the house, the Matsuoka parents instantly take a liking to Sato. Takeuchi, Matsuoka's brother, says to Himiko that they were wrong to doubt their brother but Himiko thinks it's a sham (which is pretty much true). Himiko confronts Sato and asks her if Matsuoka paid to pretend to be his girlfriend which Sato denies. Himiko finally becomes convinced that their relationship is real. After their meeting, Sato tells Matsuoka it's her turn for her parents to meet him. They go to Sato's house and her parents also instantly taking a liking to Matsuoka, only for her parents to embarass them along the way. Matsuoka, before he leaves, tells Sato that they will next practice on how to be a convincing couple.

3. Is This Convincing Enough? / Kono Settoku-ryoku wa Jūbundesu ka? / この説得力は十分ですか？
At Mastuoka's house, he and Mayoko are practicing on how to be a convincing couple. They already have sitting next to each other and holding hands down. Matsuoka says there might not be much to do but Sato believes there's more. When he asks, Sato places herself in his lap - facing him. Matsuoka is skeptical about how they'll ever need this until Himiko interrupts them, taking the position they're in the wrong way and running off, exclaiming she's going to tell their mom. Sato then finally agrees there is not much more they can do. Matsuoka tells them all they have to do is sit next to each other and hold hands in public. Believing this is enough practice for one day, Matsuoka finds himself getting distracted by Sato's cleavage and he gets up, claiming he is tired. Sato is confused by his decision and is unsure what she is to do with herself until she realizes she brought a book over to read. While Matsuoka goes to sleep, Sato begins reading. Time passes and it falls on nighttime and Sato becomes tired herself. Remembering that she will be staying over, she removes her twin braids and glasses (revealing that she is very beautiful without them) and cuddles up next to Matsuoka by putting her arm around him and falls asleep. Over time, Matsuoka, being asleep, doesn't know Sato's near him and also puts his arm around her, pulling her closer. Sonoma comes in because she forgot they were here and is about to say something until she sees the new position they're in. Smiling to herself, Sonoma closes the door softly and lets the two sleep.

4. Put It To The Test / Tesuto ni Ireru / テストに入れる
Matsuoka wakes up the next day and notices Sato slept over and in his bed. Seeing Sato with her hair down and glasses removed, he moves some of her hair out of her face and comments on how much he likes her appeareance like this. However, Sato wakes up in time to see him in her face, causing embarrassment and Sato blushing while rushing to put her glasses on and hair up. Coincidentally, the two both get cellphone calls: Honda calling Matsuoka and Sato's friend, Yukino Koizumi, being introduced by calling her. Both of them tell their friends to meet up with them town square so they can hang out. Instead of changing, the two keep the clothes they slept in on just by adding shoes. After they get ready, Matsuoka and Sato try to leave without Matsuoka's family noticing but they do anyway. They get to leave when they tell them where they're going. Arriving, they talk for a while before Sato notices their friends coming this way. The two instantly hold each other's hands. Honda arrives first and then Koizumi, who Honda instantly takes notice of and since then develops a crush on her from the way she laughed at some of his jokes. The group begin hanging out and every time Honda and Koizumi go away the pretend couple stop holding hands and resume doing so when their friends come back. The group then start to grow bored and Sato tries to lighten the mood by telling jokes, which she mixes up and causes confusion within the group. By the end of the day, the group part their ways and Koizumi goes with Honda to hear more of his jokes, much to his delight. The episode ends with Matsuoka and Sato as they sit under a cherry blossom tree and look at the stars.

5. Double Date? Trouble Date! / Daburudēto? Toraburu-bi! / ダブルデート？トラブル日！
Matsuoka and Sato are hanging out after school when Daishin Fukui comes along with his girlfriend, Ayumi Ui and upon seeing them, Sato grabs onto Matsuoka's arm to appear convincing. Matsuoka remembers Fukui from the group of boys that lie to about his relationship with Sato. Both Fukui and Ui invite them on a double date to the grand opening of Ui's mother's restaurant. The two accept and immedietely rush to Matsuoka's house to discuss what they agreed to. Matsuoka feels it will end in disaster but Sato believes it will be fine as long as they remain calm. After Sato goes home, Matsuoka tells his parents about his date with Sato and asks them for help. At Sato's house, she is doing the same. Hisamoto tries to give his son the same outfit he wore on his first date with Sonoma, but Matsuoka denies it and says the style is out of date and goes to prepare his own outfit. The same is being done at Sato's house except she's wearing the dress her mother wore on her first date with Mitsugi. When they meet up at Matsuoka's house, he is astounded by Sato's appearance for this date. They arrive at the restaraunt (after being swarmed by cameras by their parents) and Sato reassures the pessimistic Matsuoka once again that everything will be fine if they remain calm. Sitting at a table with Fukui and Ui, they have their food ordered and everything seems to be going fine like Sato said it would. Once again, Matsuoka gets distracted by Sato's cleavage and accidentally breaks his chopsticks the wrong way but rest assure things are still in place. However, Sato begins to think Matsuoka is trying to sabotage this date on purpose and nonchalantly calls him out for it. He retorts back and the pretend couple start bickering. Ui tries to calm them down by reminding them they're in a restaurant and people are staring. But Matsuoka and Sato continue to cause a scene. Fed up, Matsuoka tries throwing his food at Sato but she ducks and it hits someone else. After an awkward silence, Ui's little brother, Hayato, calls out for a food fight that everyone joins in. Soon, Ui's mother, Nanami, comes out and yells for everyone to stop. After everyone else has left once cleaned up, Nanami makes her daughter, Fukui, and Matsuoka and Sato to clean up the restaraunt while Nanami goes out for a cigarette. The episode ends with Matsuoka and Sato in the back kitchen cleaning dishes, then Sato using the hose connected to the sink to spray Matsuoka. Instead of getting angry, Matsuoka just smiles.

6. Sato: Love Guru / Satō: Ai Tatsujin / 佐藤：愛達人
During study hall, Honda confides to Sato about his crush on her friend, Koizumi. Sato agrees to help him, which he thanks her for. After school, Sato meets up with Koizumi and asks her what she thinks about Honda. Koizumi tells Sato that she thinks he's funny but that's it. Sato returns this information to Honda who's behind a tree. He tells her that's not enough and Sato goes back to hanging out with Koizumi, continuing to ask questions about Honda. Koizumi is confused on why she keeps asking about Honda and comes up with a conclusion that Sato likes Honda despite being "with" Matsuoka. Sato denies this because she just sees him as a friend, which Koizumi tells her that she feels the same way about Honda. After a while of talking, Sato convinces her friend to hang out more with Honda - agreeing only so Sato will leave her alone. The girls part ways and Sato tells Honda that Koizumi will hang out with him tomorrow. The next day, Honda and Koizumi start hanging out with Sato spying on them in different disguises pertaining to where the two go. Honda manages to get Koizumi to confess who she has a crush on and becomes jealous and disappointed at her answer: Matsuoka. This also shocks Sato. When asked about who he likes, Honda lies that there is no one. Honda and Koizumi continue to hang out for the rest of day with Koizumi laughing at any joke Honda tells as usual. Honda takes Koizumi home and she thanks him for hanging out with her. She disappears inside her house and Sato comes out and asks Honda how he felt about Koizumi's answer. He tells her that he was a little disappointed and extremely jealous but also relieved. This confuses Sato, which he explains by saying that Koizumi will soon realize she might never have a chance with Matsuoka (because of Sato "dating" him) and that he, Honda, will be the one she is looking for. Sato likes that answer and they walk away from each other. Matsuoka finally makes his appearance in the episode when Sato goes to meet up with him under the same cherry blossom tree to look at the stars.

7. When We Met / Watashitachiha, deatta toki / 私たちは、出会ったとき
The families, Matsuoka and Sato, meet up at the park so the parents can get to know each other. The mothers, Sonoma and Fukumi, hit it off and so do the fathers, Hisamoto and Mitsugi. Himiko and Takeuchi ask if Sato has any siblings and Sato tells them that she is, unfortunately, an only child. Fukumi tells them that having another child would be impossible anyway because after she gave birth to Sato, she had her tubes tied. The statement embarrasses Sato, grosses out Matsuoka, and confuses Himiko and Takeuchi (mostly Himiko since she is so young). Hisamoto is curious on how his son met Mitsugi's daughter. Because he asked this, everyone turns their attention to the couple. Matsuoka excuses them and grabs Sato's hand and they meet up behind a tree. Sato asks him what they're going to say, but Matsuoka has no idea because he was not expecting them to ask. Sato comes up with that they met at school when she was transferred into his class. But Matsuoka reminds her that was the same day they became the pretend couple. Sato then says they should use that but spice it up a little. Matsuoka feels the idea could work and they go back and start telling their story. However, problems start when the two take turns and their parts don't seem to match one another's. After they are done with telling the story, everyone is staring at them as if they don't believe them. However, everyone laughs and comment that their story is too cute that they mixed it up on purpose. Takeuchi asks how come they just now told them about their relationship. Matsuoka tells his brother that he didn't know how everyone would react. The rest of the day, the families hang out with Matsuoka's parents telling embarrassing stories about him. Finally the families go home and the episode ends with Matsuoka in his room, realizing he has yet to get Takenaka's attention. He promises that starting tomorrow, he will get her attention.

8. Operation: Takenaka / Sōsa: Takenaka / 操作：竹中
At school, Matsuoka tries to gather the girl he has a crush on, Mizuho Takenaka's, attention. It proves to be difficult because of him "dating" Sato, as well as Sato getting in the way of him trying. Not only that, Hikaru Ishimoto, Takenaka's best friend is constantly around her and never gives Matsuoka the chance to get closer to her. He actually does manage to distract Sato and Ishimoto when the two go off to do something. Matsuoka tries to talk to Takenaka, but when she turns to look at him, he ends up embarrassing himself and running away. This leaves Takenaka confused until Ishimoto returns to her. Sato also returns to Matsuoka and asks him why he keeps pushing her away. He lies about his reason and tells her that they can hang out after school. Sato accepts this and spends most of her time with Honda. Once again, Matsuoka tries to talk to Takenaka. It almost begins to work until Ishimoto intervenes and the two throw insults at one another. Takenaka stops their bickering and tells Ishimoto to go. Matsuoka finally ends up talking to Takenaka, although the conversation is rather awkward. After Takenaka walks away to go be with Ishimoto, Honda comes out and confronts him about him neglecting Sato. Matsuoka tells Honda that even though he and Sato are "together" doesn't mean they always have to be with each other. Honda understands and the two go back to class. In class, Matsuoka spends his time staring at Takenaka and daydreaming about their future together. He ends up falling asleep in class, only to be woken up in class by Tsumura-sensei. Beforehand, Sato had noticed Matsuoka staring at Takenaka but later pays no mind to it. After school is over, Matsuoka and Sato walk home with Honda and Koizumi, even passing by Takenaka and Ishimoto. As they walk away, Matsuoka stares at Takenaka once again before returning his attention to the people he's with.

9. Getting Sun / Taiyō o Nyūshu / 太陽を入手
It's rather humid today so the group decided to go to the beach. Matsuoka and Sato make sure to arrive first and set up their spot on the beach. The two talk for a while before Matsuoka notices Honda and Koizumi come towards them. Matsuoka quickly places his head in Sato's lap. Honda comments on the awkward position but Koizumi's face flushes in jealousy. Sato decides to go with Honda while Matsuoka and Koizumi talk, just what she wanted. With Sato and Honda, she asks him if he and Koizumi have done anything since the last time they hung out. Honda replies that all she talks about is fashion and Matsuoka and that Koizumi doesn't laugh at his jokes much anymore. Sato tells Honda she will continue to help him win Koizumi's heart. The two return and Koizumi announces that she wants someone to rub sunblock on her. She hints that she wants Matsuoka too but he doesn't realize it and instead says Honda will gladly do it. This embarrasses Honda and Sato pressures him to do it but Koizumi changes her mind and does it herself. Soon, Fukui and Ui come by to ask the group to play volleyball. The others agree to do so with the exception of Sato, who would rather read, and Matsuoka. However, Matsuoka decides to join when he sees Takenaka is there and will be playing as well. Ui asks Sato once again but she denies it again and begins reading. Matsuoka ends up getting on Takenaka's team and sees that Ishimoto is on the opposite team. Matsuoka comes up with a plan to get rid of Ishimoto by hitting him in the face with the volleyball and making it look like an accident. This leads Ishimoto to be unconcious and everyone takes turns trying to awake him but it doesn't seem to work. Sato comes along to help after watching the incident. She lifts Ishimoto up and slaps him - awaking him immediately. Everyone continues with the game after that (but Ishimoto has to sit out). Matsuoka quits and spends the rest of his day with Sato. Once again though, the two start bickering after Sato finally catches him staring at her breasts. Honda and Koizumi come back to them and they stop arguing. At the end of the episode, all the characters (Matsuoka, Sato, Honda, Koizumi, Takenaka, Ishimoto, Fukui, and Ui) all sit together telling stories.

10. Think Before You Speak / Anata ga Hanasu Mae ni Kangaeru / あなたが話す前に考える
Matsuoka comes to school where he sees the same group of the boys (with the exception of Honda and Fukui) talking. The group acknowledge Matsuoka and call him over. Once over there, one of the boys asks Matsuoka if he and Sato have gone "all the way" yet. Matsuoka is confused for a while before realizing what it means. Matsuoka stutters a bit, unsure of what his answer would be. Matsuoka tries walking away, but the other boys grab him and force him to stay. Although he knows Sato will be angry, Matsuoka says that they have - gathering even more questions from the group of boys. However, Matsuoka doesn't know how to answer any of them and runs off to class where he meets up with Honda. Sato comes over after parting ways with Koizumi (who is in a different class from the rest of the main characters). The lesson starts and Matsuoka can feel the eyes of the group of classmates on him. He decides to shrug it off by staring at Takenaka for a while before he notices another female classmate, known as Chiemi Wakabayashi, shaking her head at him and he instantly turns his attention to Sato just in case. After Tsumura-sensei falls asleep in the middle of the lesson, everyone in the class think of this as study hall and start talking. Matsuoka spends the time thinking whether or not he should tell Sato about what he told the group of boys. Wakabayashi confronts Matsuoka on his thinking, telling him that he should tell Sato and even says that she won't get mad. Matsuoka says to Wakabayashi he'll take her word for it. School ends and Matsuoka goes home without talking to Sato or anyone else. Matsuoka lies on his bed, still thinking. He decides it'd be best for her to know instead of finding out herself and getting mad at him. He sneaks out of his house and goes to Sato's house. He goes into her room to see her standing with her back turned towards him. Matsuoka tells Sato what the boys asked him and Sato wants to know what Matsuoka's answer was. He tells her the truth and Sato faces him, with her shirt open and bra exposed, and yells at him. She calms herself down and tells Matsuoka to sit down next to her on her bed. Matsuoka hesitates, saying she'll hit him but she doesn't and he sits next to her. She explains that she is not mad at him and the Matsuoka suggests that they 'do it' to make it true but Sato just sends him out of her room.

11. What About Me? / Jiko Shōkai wa Nani? / 自己紹介は何？
Matsuoka learns that apparently Takenaka doesn't know he and Sato are "together" thus giving him the chance to ask her out once they were alone. She accepts and tells them where they can meet for their date. After school, Sato and Koizumi hang out at the mall and see Takenaka. Koizumi expresses her disgust for Takenaka while Sato says she doesn't really mind her. Koizumi tells Sato that she believes before Matsuoka got with her that he had a crush on Takenaka and believes he still does and might cheat on her when he gets the chance. Sato, forgetting that she's supposed to be Matsuoka's girlfriend, tells Koizumi that she doesn't care - confusing her friend but Sato quickly corrects herself. Takenaka comes over to talk to the two girls and Sato tries to keep Koizumi from snapping. Koizumi goes into a restroom to calm down and Sato and Takenaka start talking. Takenaka tells Sato that she has to go get ready for a date and when Sato asks with who, she actually becomes struck with jealousy when she learns that it's with Matsuoka. Later, Sato affronts Matsuoka on his decision to go out with Takenaka, knowing that they're supposed to be dating. He explains to her that Takenaka doesn't know about them. Sato refuses to let him go out with Takenaka but Matsuoka goes anyway. Sato follows him and spies on them all day. Sato then comes up with a plan to come out as Matsuoka's girlfriend (as she was before). She runs up to Matsuoka and wraps her arms around him, which confuses Takenaka and gets Matsuoka mad. Matsuoka asks Sato what she's doing and she tells him she's "sticking to the original plan". Sato explains Matsuoka's her boyfriend and Takenaka understands and leaves. Matsuoka yells at Sato for what she did and she runs away crying. At home, Sato realizes that she has real feelings for Matsuoka. The episode ends with Matsuoka coming in to apologize and she accepts it.

12. Day of All Days / Subete no hi no Tsuitachi / すべての日の一日
Sato's aunt and Mitsugi's sister, Aiko, is getting married and has invited everyone she knows. Sato is excited to see her aunt and goes to call Matsuoka to tell him the news. She invites him as her date and Matsuoka reluctantly agrees to go with her. She meets up with him at his house with the list of people that are invited. Matsuoka notices the surname "Takenaka" is on the list and asks Sato if Takenaka means Mizuho and her family. Sato says she isn't sure. Sato then goes to meet up with Koizumi so they can try on dresses. Matsuoka goes to meet up with Honda. With Sato and Koizumi, Sato gets caught up in trying on wedding dresses. Matsuoka appears and sees Sato, commenting that she looks beautiful. She pays for the dress she picked out and she, Koizumi, and Matsuoka hang out. Soon, Koizumi leaves and Matsuoka and Sato go home for more information on the wedding that's tomorrow. The next day, The Sato Family and Matsuoka arrive at the wedding. Sato introduces Matsuoka to her Aunt Aiko as her boyfriend. Matsuoka's attention is caught when Takenaka and her family arrive, making it apparent that Aiko knows The Takenaka Family. While Sato is distracted by her family, Matsuoka manages to get Takenaka's attention again and the two talk. However, it is short lived when a boy called by his last name, Hatoyama, comes by as Takenaka's date. After a while, the wedding starts. While it is happening, Sato daydreams about her and Matsuoka getting married but Matsuoka is instead daydreaming about him and Takenaka getting married. The episode ends with everybody slow dancing and Matsuoka is staring at Takenaka dancing with Hatoyama. Matsuoka's attention returns to Sato, smiling down at her before looking up at the moon.

13. Bedroom Behavior / Beddorūmu no Kyodō / ベッドルームの挙動
While studying, Matsuoka suggests they spice it up by getting them a beverage he thinks is non-alcoholic. They drink it and after a while, they become drunk anyway. After making jokes, Sato starts coming onto Matsuoka and the two embrace in a kiss. The next day, Matsuoka wakes up and is confused on what happened. Sato also wakes up and the two look at each other and come to terms that they had sex. Matsuoka tries to make everything less awkward with his statement, "Great job last night.", however it makes everything more awkward (he was trying to condemn her studying habits). They both get dressed before someone walks in on them and are making their way out Matsuoka's door when Takeuchi is in the halls. He notices that they look "sweaty and guilty" and accuses them of eating his candy. Both are confused and Takeuchi goes to the garage (where his candy is hidden). They go to breakfast and things beocome more awkward when words are used that could be thought of as sexual (ex. sleeping). Matsuoka and Sato then spend their day in silence and those around them are curious on why they're quiet, but they come up with excuses when asked. When alone, Sato tells Matsuoka they need to talk about what they did but Matsuoka believes there is nothing to discuss. Sato asks Matsuoka about the drink he gave them and he gives her one of the empty cans. She reads the ingredients and sees that there was alcohol in it and scolds Matsuoka for not reading it carefully. In the end, the two promise not to talk about it ever again. This episode also begins Matsuoka's suppressed feelings for Sato although he doesn't realize it yet.

14. Hands Off!! / Hanzuofu!! / ハンズオフ！！
Matsuoka's cousin, Momiji, comes to visit. While his family is excited, Matsuoka is not. When they were young, Momiji used to bully Matsuoka nonstop because he was shorter than him. When Momiji arrives, Matsuoka is disappointed that Momiji is still taller than him. However, Momiji is a lot nicer to him than usual and even praises Matsuoka for having his growth spurt. Honda comes along after hearing the news of Momiji's visit (Momiji was nicer to Honda as kids). Sato and Koizumi also come and Momiji instantly takes interest in Sato (although Koizumi wants his attention too). The group hang out but Momiji spends most of his time flirting with Sato. Matsuoka instantly becomes jealous. He intervenes and tells his cousin that he and Sato are "dating". Although Sato is flattered by Momiji, she sticks by Matsuoka and the plan. Momiji doesn't believe that his cousin was able to "score a cute girl like Sato", which makes Matsuoka red in fits of rage. Honda and Koizumi notice the rising tension and take off in fear of what might happen. Matsuoka and Sato continue to hang out with Momiji. Momiji then asks if they ever kissed yet, embarrassing Sato but Matsuoka says they haven't. This gives Momiji a good reason to believe he and Sato are not dating and just said they were because Matsuoka was jealous of the attention Sato was giving him. Matsuoka is determined to prove they are and Momiji tells him that the next day he wants to see them kiss. Matsuoka is nervous about tomorrow and Sato reassures him that it will be just no big deal. The next day, Momiji meets up with Matsuoka and Sato and tells them to kiss. They hesitate at first but with Sato's real feelings for Matsuoka and Matsuoka's suppressed feelings make them kiss. Momiji becomes convinced, especially with how long it was. Matsuoka leaves with Momiji and Sato goes home. Matsuoka believes he only kissed Sato because he pictured himself kissing Takenaka instead (his suppressed feelings for Sato made her kiss her but at the same time, he tried his best to picture Takenaka).

15. Tell Me Everything / Watashi ni Subete o iu / 私にすべてを言う
Sato spends most of her day hanging out in her room with Koizumi (who is sleeping over), talking about relationships and boys. Koizumi's topic on relationships continues even though Sato tries her best to change the subject. Koizumi then reveals that she likes Matsuoka, which Sato pretends to be shocked about (she found out in episode 6). Koizumi also reveals that she doesn't believe she has much of a chance with Matsuoka since Sato's with him. This makes Sato want to reveal to that her relationship with Matsuoka is not fake, but decides not to after remembering that Honda likes Koizumi. Sato then asks Koizumi what has she done with Honda lately, which Koizumi replies they have hung out more often. Koizumi then admits that she does find Honda cute and Sato actually can't help but agree. The girls take out their work from school and start doing it. While they work, Koizumi asks Sato if she and Matsuoka have done 'it' yet. The question embarrasses Sato and she wants to tell the truth, but remembers she promised Matsuoka they would never tell anyone or even talk about it ever again. Koizumi is awaiting an answer when Sato's father comes in and tells them dinner is ready. Koizumi stares at Sato for an answer and at night when everybody is going to sleep, Sato finally answers Koizumi's question: they did not. Koizumi accepts to answer and goes to sleep. After everyone has gone to sleep, Sato calls Matsuoka who drowsily answers the phone. All Sato does is tell Matsuoka 'good night', which he replies back before lazily hanging up the phone. Sato falls asleep with a smile on her face.

16. Achoo! Sato's Sick / Hakushon! Satō no Byōki / はくしょん！佐藤の病気
Matsuoka notices Sato has not been around or calling lately and goes to see what's up. When he arrives, Sato's parents are delighted to see him and tell him that Sato is sick. Matsuoka goes into her room to check up on her and sees that she's asleep. Matsuoka sits next to her in hopes to wake her up. He looks at her face again like he did the first time and this wakes her up again. However, she is not embarrassed like she was last time. Matsuoka asks Sato what she has and she says it's just a cold. Mitsugi comes in with a bowl of a special soup that he says helps him whenever he sick. Matsuoka comments that it smells like something died - making Sato not wanting to eat it. Mitsugi gives it to her anyway and tells Matsuoka to make sure she eats it. The smell continues to make Sato feel woozy. Matsuoka gets an idea and holds Sato's nose. Sato finally eats it and is suprised when she realizes how good it tastes. Fukumi comes in to take Sato's temperature and is glad to see it has gone down. Sato then comments that the soup made her feel a little warm and tugs on her chemise that she sleeps in. Matsuoka, once again, becomes distracted by Sato's cleavage. Mitsugi comes in and Sato tells her father that the soup really worked. However, Mitsugi, excited, comments that he was just bluffing and goes to remember the ingredients. At night, Sato has fallen asleep and Matsuoka decides to leave but changes his mind when he overhears Sato's parents talking about how they're glad their daughter has someone that loves her enough to visit her when she's sick. Going back to Sato, Matsuoka lies next to her and closes his eyes, falling asleep as well.

17. Beyond Friendship / Yūjō o Koete / 友情を超えて
Honda finally gets the courage to ask Koizumi out on a date. Koizumi, who has dreamed of being asked out, accepts his offer to go out with him. Honda goes to meet up with Sato for help and comes across Matsuoka, flirting with other girls. Honda calls Matsuoka out for this by reminding him that he has a girlfriend. As the girls walk away, Matsuoka tells Honda the truth about him and Sato and what he's planning. Honda then promises not to tell, making him the first character to know that Matsuoka and Sato are not actually dating. Matsuoka tells him that the real girl he likes is Takenaka. Honda understands and leaves to find Sato for the help he is needing. Sato helps Honda prepare for his date and Honda tells her he just wants to to be simple. Sato gives him advice to just be himself. Later, Honda meets up with Koizumi and their date begins. Koizumi laughs at his jokes as usual. Honda manages to impress Koizumi when a couple of guys start flirting with her and he shows his dominance that Koizumi's with him. Honda and Koizumi then sit under the same cherry blossom tree that Matsuoka and Sato often sit under. After a while, Honda and Koizumi kiss. Unfortunately, when asked if she felt something, Koizumi replies she didn't. Honda says he didn't either when he really did. Their date ends when Honda takes Koizumi home and she thanks him for taking her out. Honda goes home, refusing to believe Koizumi didn't feel something when they kissed and realizes that he is close to becoming Koizumi's boyfriend.

18. It's Worth A Shot / Sore wa Shotto no Kachigāru / それはショットの価値がある
Takenaka, while walking home, is bothered by a group of boys. Matsuoka comes across this and saves her by beating up the other boys. Takenaka, thankful, starts hanging out with Matsuoka when she was really supposed to meet up with Ishimoto and Matsuoka with Sato. Takenaka invites Matsuoka to a small gathering to celebrate her father being promoted and he accepts, unbeknowst to him Sato is invited as well. The day of the gathering, Matsuoka is disappointed when Takenaka had brought a new date, a boy by the name of Takashi. He feels like leaving until he sees a beautiful girl amongst the other people. He tries to get her attention and is amazed when he realizes it's Sato. Because they are supposed to be dating, he and Sato spend their time together. Sato goes away for a while and Matsuoka and Takashi start talking. Takashi insults Takenaka, setting off Matsuoka who punches him in the face. Takenaka runs over and Matsuoka explains what happened, which Takenaka understands and starts to realize Matsuoka has feelings for her. Takenaka takes Takashi to clean his bloody nose and Sato comes out after hearing about the commotion. The rest of the day, Takenaka flirts with Matsuoka who gives his full attention to Takenaka and ignores Sato. Takashi soon starts talking to Sato and to get back at Matsuoka, starts flirting with him. However, this grabs Matsuoka's attention and he instantly becomes jealous - even more so than Takashi with Takenaka. Takashi goes back to Takenaka while Matsuoka and Sato start acting like a couple in public again. As usual, Matsuoka stares at Takenaka and much to his surprise, Takenaka is staring back at him.

19. Be Mine / Watashi no Mono / 私のもの
Sato noticed Matsuoka and Takenaka staring at each other in the previous episode and Sato is determined to make Matsuoka realize his suppressed feelings for her. She starts by wearing a tube top and shorts when she goes to meet up with him, Honda, and Koizumi. The plan works when Matsuoka notices Sato's breasts after she stands up. Matsuoka nervously leaves for a moment and takes Honda with him. Koizumi notices Sato has been acting strange around Matsuoka and asks her why. Sato doesn't have an answer because it would involve spilling the secret so she distracts Koizumi by pointing at a cute boy. The rest of the day the group hang out and Matsuoka has all his attention on Sato (mostly because they are supposed to be a couple). The next day, Sato and Koizumi are outside Sato's house getting sun in their swimsuits. Matsuoka and Honda have dropped by and look at them through the screen door. They come out and Sato gets up to persuade Matsuoka to rub lotion on her shoulders. Although he wants to, Matsuoka teases Sato and goes home instead. Honda offers to do it but Sato tells him to go home. Sato arrives at Matsuoka's home where she tells him that he invited her to stay over (but Matsuoka doesn't recall doing this). Matsuoka lets her stay and sleep in his bed but he stays up to finish some homework. Matsuoka looks over at Sato and notices her leg up while she is reading a book she brought. He gets up and puts her leg down, telling her that her legs are "distracting to mankind". Later, Sato has finally gone to sleep but her leg being up catches his attention again and Matsuoka decides to go to sleep (but not before putting her leg down again). The next day, Matsuoka confronts Sato about her behavior and their spat marks their second time having sex.

20. What You Want? / Anata ga Shitai ka? / あなたがしたいか？
Koizumi's father makes her get a job at the same place Sato works at. Because Sato is her friend, she gives her some pointers of how everything is done. Koizumi goes on roller skate duty to serve the customers outside, however she crashes into everything when trying to impress a cute male customer. Another worker, Chikafuji, takes Koizumi place on roller skate duty to avoid further embarrassment. Sato manages to convince the manager to give her and Koizumi a break so they can talk. For the rest of their break, Koizumi complains to Sato about work. The next day, the manager gives Koizumi the duty of tending bar. Koizumi uses this to get herself fired by being lazy and doing innappropriate stuff. However the manager only gives her the break she asked for in the beginning. Sato asks Koizumi about her behavior lately and Koizumi admits she wants to get fired because she can't handle the job. Sato decides to help her and lands them both a night shift. However, they are held up when masked deliquents try to rob the place. Koizumi tricks the delinquents and Sato calls the cops and has them arrested. The manager awards both girls with extra pay, but Koizumi denies the reward and quits. While Sato gets paid, she and Koizumi change into their regular outfits and go home. (Although Sato takes hers home since she still works there)

21. Can't Get It Right / Migi no Sore o Shutoku Dekiru ka / 右のそれを取得できるか
In episode 15 style, Matsuoka is hanging out in Honda's room where he is talking about his "relationship" with Sato. Honda doesn't understand why Honda doesn't "break up" with Sato if he wants to be with Takenaka so bad. Matsuoka explains because he doesn't know whether or not Takenaka has feelings for him or not. Honda tells his opinion, that Matsuoka he looks better with Sato. This embarrasses Matsuoka and he tells his friend that although he finds Sato cute, he doesn't find her "girlfriend material". Honda admits that he wants Matsuoka and Sato to stay together because of how close he is to getting with Koizumi. He also points out how Matsuoka acts around Sato and becomes convinced that Matsuoka loves Sato. Matsuoka, embarrassed again, denies this and Honda teases him about his obvious suppressed feelings. Honda mentions that even Godzilla thinks Matsuoka loves Sato. When asked who Godzilla is, a black cat with a shade of green jumps out and scares Matsuoka. Godzilla then rests himself in Honda's lap and falls asleep. The boys, just like the girls did, continue to discuss relationships, but the topic keeps coming back to Matsuoka's fake relationship with Sato (although he tries his best to switch it to something else). Matsuoka finally decides to go after he gets annoyed by Honda continuously saying he loves Sato. Matsuoka goes to visit Sato after she calls him up and while walking there, he believes that he needs to break up with Sato if he truly wants to be with Takenaka. All he needs is to make sure Takenaka has feelings for him.
