How normal can a day go? So normal that things started to get boring? The same old routine, the same people, even if they were all strangers? The same order at the local Starbucks, and the spicy tuna sandwich for lunch every Wednesday because of the sale they gave students. Normal, nothing out of the ordinary, not even the daily crime. The breaking into stores, robbers, and other crimes to make the front page of the local news paper. Things never seem to change out of that line. The only escape out of this world, this lack of entertaining world, was to dream one's way out, or in most cases, enter the world of the internet and their digital games - or so this was the way her brother did it. The man had a tendency to use her laptop, whenever it was unguarded, and she was away at class. She always wondered just why he did, as he had his own; actually had about three of his own. How? She wasn't even sure as she was positive that they couldn't really afford all the electronics he had gotten.

"Your so paranoid, you know that Kate?" A man's voice spoke with amusement as he looked at his friend, taking a sip of his double sugar, double espresso shot, macchiato latte. The young woman on the other hand, just looked at him if he was the insane one for not acting the way she was when her brother came to the topic of the subject. "You know him. Alex is always finding some way to get into trouble. I swear, all the geniuses these days are mad." Even though her words meant to be cryptic towards her brothers reputation, she couldn't help but let a small grin at the corner of her lips. The pair of them became quite in their sips of coffee as their conversation died out. It was noon, both of them on break from their classes, trying to find some relief from mid semester exams.

"At least the weather is getting nicer. No more storms." The man across from the table spoke once more, and all the woman could do was node with a force smile on her lips. The pages in her book fluttered a bit from the passing wind, causing her to close the cover of it after placing her mark. "Yeah, I guess. Only the more reason for hatting to have to study when it's so nice out." Every college student's weakness was the weather. Whether it be good or bad, it would affect their attitude dramatically for educational purposes. Taking the last sip of her coffee and having the bitter taste of the end burn the tip of her tongue, she packed her things together. "Look Josh, I know we're friends and all, but I think we should go easy on hanging out so much after what happened. She is my room mate after all. I'm the one living with her for the rest of the semester." Kate grabbed her purse resting on the edge of the seat next to her, and took up her things. "Sorry." It was heard in her voice and seen in her eyes that she truly did regret meeting with the guy. And without a good bye, as she was positive this was not the last time she would see the stubborn man, she departed to her class.

Estrella, better known as Kate, made it to her class on time, or so what she thought was on time as the professor had yet to speak any words. There were no assign seats, or any close friends to sit next to in her English class, so she took the seat closest to the door, second row behind another girl in a hoody, scrambling words into her phone to text someone. And after that, the class seemed to go by with a blur. Estrella had to remind herself to actually do the reading prior and the one for tonight. At least it wasn't a Thursday where she would be itching to go out with her friends instead of doing work.

She made her way towards the dormitories, hoping that her room mate wasn't there as usual after the big mishap. If she was, Estrella would head out after getting a few things and possibly go to the student center, or find her brother to make sure he was out of trouble. First thing was first though, to make sure he hadn't messed around with her laptop, installing things and playing video games. The last thing she wanted was a virus on her computer where all her papers were saved. Oh how she would be irritated with her brother if he did something as stupid as that. Digging in her pocket for her phone, it gave a few quick vibrates as a message popped up. Estrella read it quickly, coming to the conclusion she wasn't going to have much of a night anymore as she had to now work at the local book store near campus; and yes, they still had those.

The brunette made her way into her room, tossing the keys aside to her dresser table once she saw her room mate, also the resident advisor to her misfortune, was not in. Her eyes searched for her computer, and saw it resting on her desk, the hood of half way closed. She gave a bit of a annoyed sigh as she pushed it open, moving the mouse to clear away the screen saver. "He was playing with it, I'm going to kill him." There were a few things opened on her lap top, and Estrella decided to leave them so, only to prove to her brother that it was there. How he always seem to get into the room was beyond her. Estrella only came up to the conclusion that it was her room mate that let him in to spite her. Running her hands through her hair, she dropped her purse on her bed and moved over to close the curtains of the dorm room close. There was enough sunlight coming in for her to see as it was still afternoon. Pulling out a pair of sweat pants and a simple blue shirt, Estrella decided to get in a nap before work, changing and completely ignoring the computer screen and it's glitching.

He wasn't paying attention. He was never paying attention. The young mutant only cared about when his food was getting to the table. He felt his stomach grumble, and wished at that moment, he was the one waiting to get the food instead of Rae. But what bothered him most was that she was just standing there talking to some dude when she got the food. Resting his cheek in his hand, he watched the two. He could careless if the girl was hitting it off with the guy; his eyes were on the burger in her tray. His burger. Oh how he could taste it in his mouth already. 'Come on Rae, anytime now.' The man thought to himself just as Gunther gave a bit of a annoyed sound from his lips. Looking over to his friend, he saw the dead on glare at the boy that was talking to Rae. He glanced over to the kid once again, and couldn't help but laugh at his friends words.

"Chillax man, she's just talking to a random dude. It's not like your gonna see her in bed with him or sumthin'."

Benjamin knew where Gunther's temper would take him. And he wasn't sure how far Rae could go with pushing his buttons. Hell, Benjamin stayed away from doing that as best as he could. He still felt the pain the bruise gave him when Gunther had punched him being for 'stupid' and getting them into that position. And yes, he was still pissed that his buddy would even go to that point and do that, but he could see why it was coming to him. Okay, so he had lost her for a moment. For two seconds! His eyes were away from the girl, and went to another, another to be his ex-girlfriend who ran off without reasoning. And that there, was a whole other story to deal with. But how the hell would he be able to know that Rae would be just like her brother? Probably even worse as she doesn't understand how trouble seems to follow her endlessly. He rolled his eyes at the thought. And here he believed to be the trouble maker in the group. Oh no, Rae beat him to it, but she just didn't know the affect she had. He glanced over to the girl, watching her idly talk to the new guy that approached her. Benjamin didn't have the slightest idea who he was, but he wanted to let him know he was dancing in fire.

                                "Is he coming here?"

He raised his brow, in curiosity as to how stupid the kid could be. Don't get him wrong, he would have loved to see Gunther pin his hatred on someone else, especially if this guy was a human (seeing how he didn't know if he was a mutant or not). He had gotten enough of his friend's rage in the past weeks to last him a good life time. To have that pushed on someone else, well, it seemed pleasant enough to think about. Plus, Rae was finally bringing their food over to them. He was starving, and the mutant did his best to not let his hunger get the best of him. But here was just so long a man could go without good food. And right now, Benjamin was at the edge of his seat to eat into that burger. His eyes had been focused on the food, completely forgetting about the idea the other kid was thinking about making his way towards them. Into the den of the hungry lion. Poor pup, he had no idea what he had gotten himself into by talking to her. Benjamin had just taken her out to a bar for one drink, and look where that landed him. And he was the guy's best friend. Imagine what was going to happen to that kid if he went anywhere near Rae again.

The hot head mutant watched as Rae finally made it to their table after inviting the other. Benjamin quickly went for his food, taking a sip of his soda first before taking a big chunk out of his burger. Oh did that feel good! "I swear, for all the money the hospital makes off us, they can at least have a decent burger there. Damn, missed this s**t." Manners, was what Gunther would say if his attention wasn't on the kid. Benjamin spoke with his mouth full, as he normally would.

His eyes turned to one of the workers that dropped a wrapped cookie at his side. Whipping his mouth, he didn't have the time to say much as she disappeared, saying that it was from a secret admire of some sort. "Whut?" Benjamin found himself completely lost at the idea of it. His eyes went to Gunther, then Rae, before they found themselves scanning the cafe. There were a few people looking in their direction, or so towards Gunther's direction, but he did catch one young girl who was looking in his direction, or so he thought? Raising a brow, he looked back down at the cookie, and just as he was about to go for it, the one person he was trying to avoid all morning came around. He leaned back in his chair, looking up at Belladonna with a tired look. Did she honestly expect he was going to say no to Gunther for a ride back? Especially when he could avoid any sort of confrontation about their past? Benjamin really didn't want to talk about that right after the hospital. He just wanted to get his hands on a smoke and get laid. "You got the sweetest words, you know tha?" Benjamin sarcastically told the woman as he took a sip of his soda.

                                "I didn't have a phone."

The mutant shrugged, as if it was nothing at all. Yes, he could have used Gunther's phone, but he didn't know her number anymore, not after she seem to have changed it the first few times he tried to call during her disappearance. "You know me, never the one to remember things. But I guess it was only expected since you have an act of disappearing when you say you'll be there." Possibly not the kindest thing Benjamin could have said, but it was only expected for Belladonna. He wanted answers, yes, but not here, and honestly, not right now. He wanted to enjoy his lunch, and then find Drake - seeing how he was the only one who gave him a pack of smokes when he really needed them. "You know, that was from someone who actually likes me." He rolled his eyes, taking another bite of his bugger to cut it down to less than half left. He watched as she easily put the left over in her purse. It irked him a little to know that he wasn't going to get the chance to eat was actually his. How annoying. He forgot for a moment the affect Belladonna actually had on him to go on and let her do that.

How easily she changed the subject to Rae and Gunther. He looked over at the two of them, and he could still see Gunther throwing daggers at the kid that was hesitant in coming to their table or not. Without a word, Benjamin got up, leaving his food where it was, and went to the guy who had taken an interest in Rae. "Hey look, a word of advice? That pretty girl's brother isn't in a great mood. So if you wanna keep your head, I suggest you eat somewhere else, or better yet leave." Benjamin lead him towards the door, where a few open tables were still. His eyes caught into the girl that was looking in his direction before for a moment, before he looked back at his table with Dee was. He could have been smart, and avoided any trouble he was about to cause, but everyone knew, being smart wasn't Benjamin's fortay.

Benjamin took the empty seat in front of the girl sipping on her coffee, not even bothering to ask if it was taken or not. "Not a big fan of the fancy drinks they have?" He wasn't indenting on giving her a pick up line, or so not yet. It was more to annoy Belladonna as she had done just that to him moments ago. Was she even the one who gave the cookie to him was beyond him, he was just taking a guess. And well, everyone knew most of his guesses were completely wrong.

Her senses felt as if they had gone numb. Words escaped her lips, but she hadn't taken the time to actually understand what it was she was saying. They were orders, and a few calming words to bystanders. Ainsley looked over to the dark tanned man, letting him help her when he could, and when she would allow. Her name was being called from behind her, and in the blur of people running about, she saw one of the women that went to go help the girl unconscious, skid across the ground. Her eyes shot to Gunther, the rage on his expression evident. The red head wasn't sure if her voice carried to the man, warning him not to harm someone who was there to help. She felt her fingers become warm, and quickly looked over back in front of her, the boy's body below her starting to spill the dark liquid once more. They needed to get to a hospital, and fast. There was only so much the woman could do without the proper tools. Plus, with all the people running about, the news crews getting ready to make headlines, Ainsley was sure she would be able to get nothing done properly.

With her hands covered in the other's blood, she felt a ringing at her ear, no, it was her name being called over and over again once more. Looking in the direction, she came to face Gunther, carrying the girl in his arm. "You can be a complete idiot at times, you know? That woman was there to help her. Moving the girl wasn't a smart idea, Gunther." No, he was an idiot most times, not sometimes. But Ainsley didn't have the time to chide him, not in the middle of all of this, not with that desperate expression on his face. Sighing, mentally, her eyes went to the man that was with her. He helped her take Ben, along with the help of another woman she had never seen before (or so she thought), into the near by ambulance. Ainsley told Gunther the way to the hospital, and the mutant drove off like a mad man. She took hold of the back of the drivers seat, wanting to smack him, but held back the urge to do so as she went to check the girl's pulse. She was breathing, alive, but weak - very weak. The discoloration in her neck and finger tips, the dilated pupils. There was something else wrong as well.

As the ambulance rushed off the scene, Ainsley caught view of Henry, his eyes glued to hers. He had known something was wrong, and he was about to figure everything out if she couldn't keep a tighter lid on her private affairs from him. How was one to hide things from family? No doubt the man would arrive at the hospital as soon as he could, helping in way he can, and then asking her questions once everything was stable.

Fifteen minutes. It had taken fifteen minutes, when it was to be a thirty minute drive, with the traffic, back to the hospital. The entered through the emergency doors, and instantly faces she recognized came at her with questions. Ainsley calmly told them she would take care of it, and Dr. Friedman was on his way. With much persuasion, she lead the way to a private room on the second floor, the lights automatically turning on once they stepped in. Looking over at Gunther placing Rae down on an empty bed, she glance to the boy that was with her, still bleeding. Just as she finished setting everything up, Henry Friedman had walked in, his suit's jacket flying off him almost immediately. Her eyes shot to Gunther first, and 'kept him in place. It was wonderful to know her powers had some advantage over his at times. Within the five minutes it took Henry to examine from where he stood of the two patients, Ainsley filled him in on their injuries. He spoke no words, his eyes only glancing to Gunther and the two with him in silence. He knew the time to ask questions, and now was not. Ainsley thanked the man silently for the thought.

They took about an hour on Benjamin, cleaning his wound and making sure the bandages were on tight, and all the right IVs and medicines were placed. They had gone to the girl after much bickering from Gunther, and dealt with her in a 'sensitive' manner. Ainsley had known something was up, and it did not take her long to realize that this girl meant a great deal to Gunther. She came to the conclusion that she must have been his sister. It could have been possible that she would have been a girlfriend, but with the age difference, and how Gunther treated her, she doubted it. Gunther was the last to form a real relationship with a woman, even she could not completely understand what it was the two of them had. She could have also been just a friend, but Gunther had not even shown this concern for Ben, and the boy was his closest friend, from the looks of it. And in the silence as she was taking her blood, Ainsley put the pieces together. The breakout in Canada, and how it was done for this girl. Gunther was desperate to find his sister. If he only trusted Ainsley enough to tell the truth, he would be surprised to her answer.

Ainsley had already thought of what to say to her mother. She very well knew how they failed to retrieve the jewel, how it could have been in the hands of anyone now. The red head understood what it meant. But what more could they have done with the chaos that Gunther threw at them? If she could ever be furious with anyone, it would be with him for his stupidity, for his ignorance. But as Ainsley had arrived home, her mother was no where to be found. How did Sandra Daniels always disappear without a notice, not even allowing a trace for following? Flipping her cell phone, she listened to the message one more time. "I've gone to Florida for business. A client is in dire need of a good lawyer." Ainsley listened for anything after, but heard nothing but to take care of the mansion, and be their new headmistress for the time being. Taking a deep breath, Ainsley made her way up towards the dormitories after checking the main rooms were empty. It was far past curfew, and she hopped all the students had gone to bed. Thankfully, it seemed they had.

Ten minutes after checking each of the rooms upstairs, making sure the students were asleep, and safely in their room, Ainsley made her way to hers. The red head had already decided to sleep with Kitty, as she needed her sister's comfort. But first, she had to get out of the heels she thought she would enjoy for the night. Well, little did she know she would have been running in them. Choo was not meant to run in.

Opening the door to her room, Ainsley turned the dimmer on, taking her shoes off and tossing them off to the side. As she closed her door behind her, she paused in her thoughts, feeling a strange presences. Turning the dim light to its usual standing, she looked to the woman sitting there on her bed, shocked, confused.

                                "Beth?"

Rae looked at Belladonna from the corner of her eyes as she came around to their table. She didn't have the slightest idea who she was. All she knew was that she had some sort of relationship with Ben from the amounts of visits they had with her. If she knew anything about her help in the breakout, she might have thought differently of her. Maybe. But probably not. Rae juts saw her as some woman who couldn't let go of something that obviously wasn't there anymore. But Rae knew very little of any sort of feeling, so it was only normal that she think it was easy to let go. The girl curiously looked at the brunette woman as she mentioned a family. "Obviously Ben isn't in our family." No he wasn't, and she was sure he was going to say something against it, but it seem that his mind was still on something else - and eating. Of course, her brother might say otherwise, but Rae saw Ben as just that, someone who was good friends with her brother, and that was it.

Her bright eyes caught onto the cookie that was placed next to Ben and looked at him curiously. Why in the world would he want a cookie? Or did he not order it? She had gotten her answer soon enough when the worker said it was from someone else. She didn't understand in the slightest why someone would give a gift to another and not let them know who it was. Her eyes turned to Belladonna once more, as she went on about having to pick up Ben at the hospital. It seemed that he was doing his best to not care, and the bickering between them seemed amusing to her brother. Was it always like this? Half the time at the hospital when she came to visit, Rae was asleep. The other half, Ben was.

                                "Fine."

Was all that the girl said in response to how she was doing. Suppose she was doing just fine. She had left the hospital walls, and now was with her brother. Even though she had the itching urge to go back to sleep, she knew she could have been better off awake with her brother. Rae took another bite of her food, chewing down half of her meal already as she watched Ben finish up his and get up. Her eyes followed him, right to the boy that she was talking to, and watch his lips move. What did he say to him. Looking over at Gunther, he seemed to ease his expression at Hayden for the time being. Lucky him. Rae looked back at him, as he just stood there and Ben went off to sit next to some young girl. Did he always do that? Talk to random girls like that? Did all boys do that? As Hayden had done just that to her? There was a lot that her brother needed to teach her.

Rae took her last bite of her burger, taking a long sip of her soda right after. Her eyes caught onto Hayden that had finally shown up, curiously looking at him as he went on about calling him. And her body guard? Who was that? She looked over at her brother, the furious glare in his eyes once more. None the less, she took the card and looked at it blankly.

Was this what a normal day consisted of now? From when she last remembered being outside the government walls, no boy ever came up to her and forced his number in her hands. She looked down a the digits, silently speaking the numbers in her head. She simply blinked, turning her head over her shoulder to hear the cashier yell for Hayden. She watched as he left with his food in his tray, no worry if anyone was going to follow him. "I don't see the problem of taking the tray. It's just a piece of plastic." The girl mumbled to herself. Rae was about to turn around until she saw a girl, seemingly older than herself, enter, standing there awkwardly. The girl didn't realize that she was deliberately starring at the other, watching her every move as she got her coffee and banana - whatever it was. No, instead she thought to herself where it was she had seen her face before. It seemed like a distant memory, like if it never happened or she had watched an old film, trying to recall the smaller details of it.

                                "I've seen her before."

Her words were confident though, as she spoke them. Yes, part of her memory was fuzzy from all the drugs that the scientist injected her with, but she was sure that her face was something real. Her eyes watched as the other young woman took her seat in the corner, and only looked away when she felt thirsty once more. Rae continued to eat her food, taking a drink every now and then, hopping to now leave the cafe sooner than later. The odd tension in the cafe was getting to her. "It's just a number." She looked to her brother finally and shrugged. If she wanted to cal him, she would. If not, than well, his loss. "And if I want to call him, than I will. You can't stop me. And what do you mean that she better '********' him before its to late? Gunnie?"

Even though it was fairly warm out, Rae couldn't help but feel a chill as she zipped up the over size sweater her brother had given her a few days ago. Her wardrobe was anything that Gunther owned. And well, being coped up in a hospital for three weeks didn't allow her to go out and get clothes of her own. She would be sure to take her brother, and his money, to buy something more fitting for her figure. Pulling the sleeves of his sweater so they would completely cover her fingers, she crossed her arms, looking over at Benjamin as Ainsley, who had been playing her doctor for the past three weeks, chided the man on what not to do. Honestly, she didn't see Benjamin as following the doctors orders. The girl didn't say anything, simply stared at him, wondering what the hell was going on in that head of his. Did he honestly not care if he lived or died? Of course he did, he was scared like a baby when they were trying to sedate him from what she recalled.

Benjamin listened. Yeah, he did, but that didn't mean he was going to follow those orders. He was already itching for a cigarette. His hands searched endlessly in his pants, but found not trace of them. He could have sworn he kept a packet in each of his pants. Belladonna must have taken them out when she dropped off his cloths. Annoyed, he thought to stop by a store to pick up another packet, but realized he didn't have any cash on him. Would Gunther spot him a few? He looked to his friend who looked straight back at him as the red head was talking to him. No, he was sure he was going to take her advice to heart and actually 'care' for him. Right, like that punch to his face was something a caring friend would have done. Especially when he was already injured at that. Yes, okay, sure, he deserved it for loosing sight of Rae. But she was a tricky one! Who would have thought she would actually just up and leave and all hell would break loose that day? He was not psychic to determine that.

Rae watched as AJ took her brother to the side, off to where the two of them couldn't hear them. Rae curiously looked at them, wondering what it was that they whispered about. Whatever it was, it seem that Gunnie didn't quiet like it. He could do well with hiding things from everyone else, but Rae always knew in the end what he was thinking. Pressing her lips together, her eyes went to Ben who seemed to still be looking for whatever it was he was before. Shaking her head annoyed at the man, she sighed heavily, waiting for her brother to return to them. In a matter of moments after her mere thought of wanting to leave, Gunther said his farewell and came to the two of them. She wanted to smile, but nothing came to her lips as they went into Gunther's car.

They were about five minutes into driving, Ben quiet in the back, and Rae sitting shot gun, when Rae broke the silence. "I'm hungry." She spatted out. A annoyed and tired look came across her as she looked over at her brother. "Gunnie, lets get something to eat. I haven't had a decent meal since then." Then, meaning of course the break out, when she had taken up living in the hotel room and ordering room service. Hospital food was all that had been welcomed to her, and now that she was out, she was looking for something else. Something that would at the least, lighten her mood.

"Stop here," Rae literally had moved over and jerked the wheel to take them right, almost running over the sidewalk in the process. "It will do." Looking out the window, she looked at the slow cafe, a few people sitting inside, and a few out. It seemed that it was still a little early for lunch, but it was all the better for them. Rae was never a person to mingle in crowded areas. Benjamin in the back however, swallow whatever he was going to say as he went sliding to the left side, almost hitting right into the car door. "Gesh, Rae! Maybe this is why 'Gunnie' won't let you drive!" Benjamin knew he should have said it. Especially as the Brotherhood leader never liked anyone calling him that. But it had slipped, and he didn't notice that it did until he looked over at the other. He held back a laugh, knowing that every time he did, his lungs would hurt. Taking a deep breath, Benjamin looked over to Rae who had already took her leave out of the car. Yes, they indeed were siblings. Rolling his eyes, he did the same, knowing that Gunther would have no power in trying to stop her. He was just there for the ride, and the food, among other things.

HENRY FRIEDMAN

Henry shook the blond man's hand, wondering where Ainsley could have found him. He didn't seem the type she would normally associate with. Not that the man was the opposite as the woman, but there seemed to be something in the way he shook his hand, the look in his eyes, that seem to go against what his student believed in. However, Henry was never the man to judge at first appearances, so he brush the thoughts aside and simply greeted the man as he would any new acquaintance. "I'm sure the pleasure is all mine." Henry knew if Ainsley gave a chance to this man, he should as well. Forget the gut feeling he had about the man, he was sure it was just the food from last night. Henry took note of never ordering food from the same place again, especially near midnight. They probably gave him the left overs and warmed them up. The man needed to learn how to cook on his own.

But what was most curious is how Ainsley mentioned something about a staffing position. From last he remembered, AJ worked at the same hospital he did. Did she take up another job else where? As what position? Why wasn't he informed about any of this?! Henry looked to AJ with a silent disapproving look, there was much to discuss about. If the woman was working towards something life changing, Henry wanted to be apart of it. He looked after Ainsley, as if she was his own lost daughter. For now, it was just another question for him to hold onto until a better time. When he heard a cough behind him, he noticed the Senator making his way over to the three of them. "Ah, AJ, Emmett," The doctor looked to the blond male with a smile before glancing to the senator. "Let me introduce you to our very own Senator Johnnathan Crane." Henry waited for the three to greet, Ainsley as always being poliet enough to be the last to do so.

“So this is the prodigy I hear most about.”
“Oh I think Henry has once more exaggerated my talents in the study.”
“You’re being modest. It’s best to keep an eye on you Ms. Daniels. You may surprise us all when we least expect it."

Henry smiled faintly, shruging his shoulders as he might have spoiled his star student just a bit. The woman deserved every praise she was given. Henry believed in what she was capable of, what he never understood about the woman was how she believed everyone could do what she was pulling off on a daily bases. She gave humanity too much of a chance with her faith sometimes, especially when he knew how cruel humanity could be. He watched as the Senator took interest in Ainsley, something that he was hopping for. It would be a good career move for the woman.

His attention quickly shifted to a man calling out his name from the crowd. Looking around the hall, he caught sight of the man calling his name. Honestly, he couldn't remember who the man was calling his name. He seemed friendly enough with the smile on his face. He raised his brow for a moment as he shook the man's hand, and then nodded at his 'son.' Apparently Ainsley knew who the younger of the two were fairly well from his greeting to her. What had he missed during her time away? Surely this man was never in her life prior, or he would have remembered both their faces. The senator seem to take interest in the two new comers, greeting 'Fa' and Elii before returning to converse with the older of the two. Henry kept his attention with the two gentlemen, looking over briefly as the three younger. It was only when the newcomer addressed him on his life that he returned his attention to them once more. Henry answered sincerely, returning the same question back as he tried to pin point where ti was he may have known this man from.

A convention possibly? It was the only reasoning he could come up with. There were enough people to meet and forget during those times. So then he was a fellow doctor then? They might have conversed about a mutual topic, agreeing or disagreeing. Maybe. Whatever it was, Henry believed his memory to be the cause of not spotting the face. He laughed giving a small pat on the Senator's shoulder. He surely had a way with connecting with people.

He knew his mission. He knew what he had to do, and he knew the time frame to get it done. There was no such thing as letting the time slip by on his watch. Looking down at his wrist, he clicked the timer button and watched as the seconds started to pass him by. He wondered, just how long this would take him. The longest he ever took on a retrieval mission was about three hours, where the mutant had the ability to run faster than the speed of light. One could only image how annoyed Alois had gotten after the first hour. He had to call in his previous partner to trick the damn mutant. Though in the end, the man had his fair share of pleasure from the catch. He never promised the government that they all come back in one piece, or in perfect condition as they were last scene in. Alois was never the type of man to let his food go untouched. He made sure to leave a mark on every target that was given to him.

A mark they would never forget, make them remember who he was, and who he worked for. He lived for the rush of adrenaline he got from the look of fear in his target's eyes. He could only hope this rogue mutant would show the same. Looking over at the file in his hands once more, he retained the name and ability, as well as the class she was filed under, three, right below him. Most mutants he went after were just around the same, a level three or a four mutant. He had yet to get one beyond. It seemed that four might as well be the highest the government had gotten.

Placing the file under his arm, he fixed his watch, and headed for his car. Surprisingly enough, the man was given a beautiful Audi A8 sports car as a 'thank you for joining us' gift. He couldn't be any more pleased with his decision. He pulled out his keys, clicking the button and letting the soft beep signal the car door open. It didn't take him long to start the car, and had out of the government facility, or should he saw law firm's garage. At the first light he heard his cell phone ring twice, a catchy German tune echoing in the car before it lit up for a message. He had very few contacts on his phone, and half of them didn't have his number. Most of the time the man called from a private line. His cell was only used so his boss could contact him whenever he was needed. He mentally sighed though as he read who the message was from. Alois hopped he would have been able to finish the mission off without Rogue, even though they were a deadly team. He wanted to have some fun before she zapped him unconscious - which happened more than one would believe.

'Sabey, darling. Have you been debriefed on our new mission? I'm oh so excited to see you. <3 How was the vacation? Eat a lot of bratwurst in Germany? And drink plenty of beer? Tell me all about the club scene when we meet up. Which should be where?'

It didn't help the woman's case when she called him 'Sabey,' in the message. What did he look like, her pet? Better not to ask that question directly to the woman, she would find some way to twist it to both their liking. His eyes shot up at the road once more, watching the lane perpendicular to his show a yellow light. 'Weibchen.' Was all that Alois responded back in texting form as the light turned green. He took his first turn pass a ice cream shop he was normally found at before making his way towards the main avenue that would take him to Rogue's apartment.

Alois was driving for about thirty minutes before he reached her apartment. He shouldn't have been surprised that she wasn't waiting for him outside as he told her to five minutes ago on the phone. Rolling his eyes impatiently, honked his horn once, giving the woman another five minutes before he was to leave her and move on on his own.

Of course, it was just about to hit the five minute mark when she came out the doors. How lucky. He was just about to put the gear into drive and head out. When he said he would only wait a certain amount of time, he was serious, he didn't care who he was to pick up or drop off. He was always on time. Always. Once she got in the car, he looked over towards without an expression before he pulled away from the apartment and back onto the streets of the City. "Her files is in the back seat if you want a heads up." He left out the part where they had to bring her back alive, he was sure that Rogue had gotten that message personally from the Boss. There had been more than one occasion that Alois had over stepped that rule and brought back only part of the mutant. Rogue was basically sent to make sure he stayed within limits. She was the only one he was willing to work with, even if her nature was a bit - strange.

Rolling to a slow drive, Alois lowered his window and took a good whiff of the smell the city had to offer. He paused for a moment, trying to figure out what was what, where it came from, and if it was any importance. His turned his head to the left a bit, listening to any signs that would lead him to his target. He wouldn't be able to do much in the car. Parking the car, he looked over at Rogue, his eyes cold as always. "Park the car. I'll give you a call once I find her." He opened the driver's side door and slide out, closing the door behind him. Looking around, he caught no sign of the face he needed to capture. "One scratch on the car, and I'll kill you. I promise." He left Rogue with those words, trying his best to not sound enthusiastic. He made a quick walk for it wards his right, crossing a few streets as he seem to get a hint of where their target might be. His Boss had given him a old jacket she wore, which now lay in his back seat along with the file. That sent was starting to become more distinct.

He stopped at a street light as the cars drove pass the green light. People filled around him, but nothing was phasing him as his eyes locked onto the person he was trailing. There she was, looking directly at him. The fear imminent in her eyes even from the distance they were standing. He couldn't but form a wicked smile on his lips.

A new year, and new faces! The Headmaster was more than excited to see the faces of the first years as they would be entering the great hall any moment now. As he noticed the time, he realized only then that something was wrong, that they were still missing one professor, one he knew he should have reminded of their duties. He had just sent the Potions Master, Levitticus to fetch the woman that had kept them all waiting. Even he was excited to get the year started, to have the feast for the year start already. He was a patient man, but if no one had gone to fetch the young Auror, they would be waiting for another hour at the least. A smile came over his lips as he had watched the man leave off to find the woman, his attention turning to those professors that had now taken their seats.

With him being busy during the year with the many duties that he had, it was hard for him to get a 'vacation' the way the others were gifted with. It became an interest of his to hear about their travels, even if he had been to those many places on more than one occasion. It amazed him how many adventures could happen in just once place, in one small town. All the better when muggle stories were involved, he was fascinated the way they lived, and even at his age, he never seemed to be surprised by their lives. There was much he knew of, of both words, but there was always time to learn something knew, the world was full of knowledge waiting to be obtained. The man smiled, using his right thumb to play with the rings on his fingers. He done it subconsciously, just as his other hand was playing with the eagle talisman he had around his neck.

Within fifteen minutes, Levitticus had arrived at his side once more, a smile at his lips coming about when he heard everything was taken care of, Aviana was finally with the first years. He sat up straight, looking to the crowd of students as his eyes took him to the doors of the great hall, watching in the distance as the new professor brought the first year students in.

Thaddaus watched as Aviana looked to him, and then to the list she would be reading off. Was it much that he had made her take care of the sorting? Of course not, the woman knew she would be placed with more responsibility than the others because of her attitude, he was only trying to brush her up to be a fine woman. What witch her age was as lazy as she was? Thaddaus had planned to make sure she followed through with all her duties as the new Transfigurations professor. He expected all of the new professors to take their jobs seriously, Aurors or not, they must take their work serious, even if it is just a teaching profession. As the sorting began, his eyes went to each and every individual student, smiling and reassuring them all was well. It had seem to comfort them, as it did for him to watch the anxiety from the features disappear. Forty minutes or so the sorting went on, and the young Auror made her way to the table, the Hufflepuff house ending their cheers as soon as he raised his glass for silence.

"Before we start our beginning of the year celebration, I wish to go over a few rules. " The man only paused for a moment before he looked to his right, and then his left, at the professor's sitting. "And of course, introduce you to our staff." As they had now earned new members to his delight. "Professor Caine, will be filling the position for Defense against the Dark Arts. He is the only man I know fit for the job." Thaddaus raised his goblet to the man with a brief smile before he looked to Parker. "Professor Howlett will take the position of your Herbology professor after the sudden leave of Madam Vivren. Your charms professor will be Professor Akihiro, but I preassume you wish to be called Professor Hiro?" The old wizard looked at the young auror questionable to see if he was right before continuing. "Professor Sollomovici will be your transfigurations professor, and I am sure, she will not be late in her first teaching lesson, nor will any of her students."

The Headmaster went over the next position filled by an older Auror before turning his attention to Atticus. The man simply looked at him with a raised brow before the older wizard gave a quiet heartily laugh. Of course the students would know why he was there. So he continued on, "You all know Professor Mako as your potions master, and professor Caldwell as your care of magical creatures teacher." Thaddaus introduced two more before looking further down the table at Allessandra. "And Professor Emmerson will be the new Astronomy professor. Please do take note of when those classes have been changed to."

Normally, the previous headmasters would speak these words after dinner was done. But because of their surprise visit from the ministry, there would be later announcements to follow. Standing casually with his hands to his side, the man smiled as he started the yearly routine, "Do keep in mind the forbidden forest is just that, forbidden. I will not be afraid to have Professor Mako give you detention." As he knew the man for long enough, and was currently the eldest one working at the school, he gave the responsibility of such tasks to the man two years ago. Of course, Thaddaus made sure the Potions Master was fair with his decisions. But all the students knew, just how easy going of a man their potions professor was.

"Because of the new members in our staff this year, your schedules have changed, please do not forget to look them over once before bed tonight. They will be placed in your dormitories. Hogsmeade trips of course, will only be for those with signed permission slips, and those third year and over." Thaddaus paused for a short moment, letting his thoughts gather up to see if he had forgotten anything. It had seemed, from what he could conjurer up, that the importance of the year was already said, and other things were already known without having to point them out. Even so, if he was to add anything, he would do so after dinner. "But now, we feast!" For he had grown hungry as well.

"Announcements for the tournament can wait after dinner."

The wizards voice was loud enough for only the staff to hear, as he knew the students would have already been well into their meal by now. His eyes turned to Atticus with a brief smile before he too started on his dinner for the evening. Whatever it was he needed to say would be heard in two hours time.

Ainsley said nothing as she looked at Gunther, letting her words sink in. She knew what he was feeling, even without having him express it in words. He was angry, obviously, from what he learned the government was doing to his sister. She would only agree with the feelings if it were Kitty in the position Rae was held in. But what she would do with it was completely different than what Gunther had planned. It seemed that even though they got along fine together, or so tried to keep the peace with one another easily enough, the two could never see eye to eye on their dreams of mutant freedom. The wanted the same thing, but in different verses. If only Ainsley could make him understand that another war was not something they needed. He had finally gotten his sister back, not at perfect health, but she was with him. Did he not want a good life for her? The way she hopped she could give Kitty with the cause she started?

She sighed, heavily, as she knew he was grateful for her help, but it would end in misery for her later. Still, she would have never left him hanging, would have never left his sister like that, nor Ben. "I know. Even if you didn't ask, I would have done it anyways." And what she spoke was true, and she was sure that Gunther understood that. Ainsley wasn't the type of woman to leave anyone behind, friend or foe - it wasn't in her. The woman did her best to give a smile at his ending words. She very well knew that he would do his best to get Rae back into shape, but Ben? Well, after all that had happened, the red head was sure that Gunther was still mad at the boy for getting them into the position that he had. Still, who would have ever guessed it would end the way it did? Ainsley had never thought the government would have such ruthless mutants at their end. It only made her worry what else they had with them. She needed to figure out her plan completely before it was too late. Before Gunther did something completely foolish and started a war sooner than she would expect it to happen. Her eyes tore away from them leaving and to the city people, watching as some of the eyes were stopped on her, and the car that Gunther had gotten into.

Of course, they all knew about what happened, everyone did. It was shown publicly, and there was no way of stopping all of it. Michael had done his best. The best he could do to interfere with the news crew and get as much as feed as he possibly could. But with one kid on the job, and many social network crews there, it was impossible to stop everything from being seen to the public. They were safe, she and the rest of the students. But she had just shown herself with Gunther, the man who was seen as the crazed mutant attacking anyone and anything that got in his way. Ainsley knew she couldn't be blamed for doing her job. A doctor's job was not to judge who to help and not, it was to be unbiased and do all they could to save a life.

Her eyes went to Bev as she surprisingly came into view. The expression evident on her features, she smiled at the girl. "That trio is off limits, you do not go near them, do you understand?" If Ainsley knew what she was up to, becoming interested in Benjamin, she would have definitely had something to say. No one in their right mind would allow a innocent girl like Bev to get caught up with someone like Benjamin. He was just as bad news as Gunther. To ever get caught up with them was asking to drive right through a hurricane. She pressed her lips together, curious as to the younger girls sudden leave for lunch. But trusting her students was something Ainsley was working on, and she couldn't just assume Bev was going to get herself into trouble already. So quietly, Ainsley watched her leave, knowing that she would see her at the mansion soon enough. They all had a curfew to be back on campus.

“Daniels, there is another patient that came in earlier today. I know you were heading out, but mind checking her over, I’ve got my hands full.”

Ainsley turned to look behind her as one of the doctors came out the front doors. The red head was very close in leaving as Gunther had left just moments ago. Sighing, and letting a smile cover her lips, she shook her head. “Of course not. I’ll check in with her and then head out.” Ainsley turned on her shoes and headed into the hospital once more. Tying her hair once more into the pony tail it was at before, she looked about, watching the doctor that spoke to her point across the hall to where the room was located. Ainsley grabbed the white coat that she had placed behind the nurses counter, placing it on as she grabbed the clip board that was waiting there for her. Quickly, she reviewed the patients name and situation. A concerned look came over her features as she realized this girl was luckier than she could ever imagine. Ainsley came to the room, opening the door to look at the girl for a second, her smile on her lips before a nurse came to her side. "The blood results." Ainsley took the papers from her with a nod, and closed the door behind her, leaving the two alone.

"I know you've probably already heard this, but your going to be kept under observation for at least a day. Your ribs are still healing, and even with the sedatives, it will still be painful if you moved on your own too soon."

Ainsley had seen the patient move slightly, and looking at the IV, she had noticed that the bag was running low on the drug. It would keep her under for so long before the pain of the medical procedure and surgery would wake her. The red head placed the clipboard under her arm as she walked over to replace the bag with a less drowsy drug for the time being. Once it was done, Ainsley made her way to look at the blood results, making sure everything was normal. And it seem to be so. Or so what one would have thought if they had not been testing mutant blood samples. Parting her lips to say something, her eyes went to the closed door, then to the clear window, watching the doctors and nurses idly chat and walk by. Clearing her throat, she looked over to the patient, to Kiera.

"Kiera, I know this might sound strange if you don't already know..."

When was it ever easy for her to tell another they were a mutant? Especially if that came as a surprise? Pressing her lips together as she did her best to not sound like a complete craze person, she let the other know. "Your different. In the sense that your blood varies from the typical human." Oh how Ainsley hopped that the other already knew. It would be a lot easier to explain what a mutation was without it sounding like some sort of illness to those close minded.

                            Dastan pauses to think.
“Is that lost vision the reason why we are in this tournament. Did that witch promise you to give you that vision back in return of the prize?
                            “Obviously Dastan.”
“You didn’t mention those small details.”
“I thought you were clever enough to figure it out.”
                            “That is fairly dangerous.”
“Then obviously you do not know me the slightest.”
                            “Leilah,” “Where would you stand?”
“At this moment in time, the land where Richard is.”

Dastan held the letter from days ago in his hand. He had read it over repeating, more times than he could count. He knew what was coming, he knew he could not ignore the warning that was given to them.

"A theory, brother. I truly think Leilah is forgetting to mention another vision to us."

↪ And got so far || But in the end || It doesn't even matter

Dastan sighed, hearing his princess' answer on his comment. Of course his princess would not know. Who would know what the woman ever thought? If there was ever one who could understand the seer, Dastan was sure to praise the man, or woman. Shaking his head at the mere thought of the woman, he welcomed Tamina into his arms, embracing her tightly in his grasp. He closed his eyes as he heard her belief, and was well reassured that what he was capable of doing. It was true. They had always seem to have found a way to do what was never done before. Dastan would be sure to hold his promise and do everything in his power to give Tamina the life she had always dreamed of. He would promise himself to do so, even if he was the one to suffer.

Leilah watched as the gates before them opened, Garsiv dealing with any of the visitors that came to question them. Eshan looked to her, and only glanced through the helmet that covered her eyes. They would only see her a small solider, one that they could use to fit into small places, as every man needed in their army. The others fit in fine. With their built, they looked as any Persian solider would, just as strong. Of course, what they had in advantage was their mind. Leilah could only agree with Tamina and the men of Persia, especially those in the army. Mentally sighing, Leilah let her eyes fall to the man ahead, Garsiv. The warrior prince had been called to help protect? Or did he see it in his duty to come? Or was it her letter that attracted him to the decision? The thought made the woman smile behind the armor. Even if that were the case, the man would never admit it willingly.

They moved, effortlessly, Nazin right behind her holding the flag unwillingly. A heavy sign escaped his lips, but was cut short as Eshan had looked in his direction. They needed to find their way into the castle grounds before they were to shed their armor. But as Garsiv managed to move them past the gates quickly, the group of four became hopeful in relinquishing the heavy armor they were not used to wearing, Leilah especially so.Quietly, and quickly, the group of arm soldiers followed their leader, and stopped where they needed to when they came close enough. Leilah's eyes wandered around to the others, moving her horse further back of the crowd of men, she disappeared off into the stables. Jumping down with the smallest of thuds, the woman took a look around, and found no one following her. Settling the horse away with ease, the seer looked about the near by corridor. Moving into the shadows, the woman took notice of the warrior prince making his way to where she could only presumably know Dastan and Tamina would be. Pressing her lips together, Leilah followed behind quietly.

Dastan could only laugh at his princess's comment. A lion or an eagle? If the man had to choose, he would become the lion he was very well known for. One that can protect with all the strength it had. As an eagle was far more a symbol one of his elder brothers may take. He grinned none the less, amused that Tamina was easily able to mock him in times of crises. He learned much of the woman, even though they had been married for what may be two months now. He looked to the gates once more, realize it indeed was a far stretch. But as his eyes quickly adjusted in the dark, they did so to look far enough in the distance to make out what it could possibly be. As no wind picked up the sand today, the prince found it easier to see into the clearing. Being in battle during harsh conditions only gave him enough practice to see things that others would normally have trouble seeing. The man was more than what Tamina saw him on the exterior.

"I could say that being around your sister has allow me to harness the magic to see far into the distance."

The lion of Persia held back a grin that wanted to form at the corner of his lips. Instead her kept his princess in his arms, resting his head gently against the side of hers. How easily they fit into one another without space to be seen between them. It relaxed him. It would have never occurred to the prince that a woman could have such power over his emotions, over the man that wanted to do nothing but mock the world of his power. Was this how his father, his brothers, felt with their own wives? Though he could never see himself with anyone else, let it be for political causes or not, he was sure that his heart would never belong to anyone else. Tamina had stolen her heart twice it has seem. All over again, Dastan fell in love with her. It had only made him fight for their love even more so than before. His obsession in trying to figure out another way to rid of the dagger other than her life had over taken him at times. He took a deep breath, knowing that whomever came through the gates, he was sure it was his brother, would be waiting for them in the arrival room, and they needed to make their way there to greet them.

The two made their way through to one of the other entrance ways to the throne room, the guards and Asoka following behind them briskly. Dastan waited as he looked to one of the guards and nodded at them, letting the doors open for his brother to enter.

Garsiv would have been the first to enter, if it were not for Leilah catching a glimpse of Tamina's dress through the doors. She made her way through effortlessly, stepping out of the shadows and into the light, footsteps light as air even with the armor on. She took off her helmet, finally able to breath properly before she went to undo the armor at her chest. "Do you always keep family waiting?" Her question could be directed to Tamina, but she had done so it was only to Dastan she spoke, her eyes glancing at him, judgmentally. Yes, she still blamed him for this scared place not being Tamina's anymore. Alamut was never meant to be conquered. She turned to look behind her, letting her hair drop from the helmet she tossed Garsiv. "Do thank your men for their help."

"We are all people born the same way in a sense. We breath, live, eat the same things everyday. Mutants and humans are more alike than Gunther thinks. It is our decisions that make us different, make us who we are. We all know what is right and what is wrong. It's the influence around us that helps us see between the fine line of the two."

Charlie couldn't help but laugh at her comment. "Yeah, I can see that." He amusingly replied back to her. He wasn't the best at coming back with witty remarks the way she had just done. But he could understand them easily enough. He could only guess that her powers had to do with something along the lines of either falling through things, or going through things. It all really mattered on her personality really. Holding back another laugh that wanted to escape his lips, he tried to listen to her explanation.

"Is there really any sort of explanation for what happened? I mean, I can only guess that weird things like this happen all the time here. Floating pizzas, girls falling from the ceiling, who knows whats next? A guy who can sprout wings?"

It was a joke of course. He didn't have the slightest idea if the later was possible. Well actually, he was sure it was, it just hadn't occurred to him that someone like that would be at the school. He wasn't sure what else to expect. But the simple thought of having to run through the day with these odd situations made him laugh. "I sure as hell won't have a boring day here." And it was true. And here he actually thought he would be dealing with normal things that happen in school. Gossip, sports, fights here and there. You know, the usual. But Charlie supposed the usual was just this, what these two girls had done in front of him moments ago. He was starting to get excited in whom else he would be meeting today. What would they be able to do? So as long as they don't keep asking him what he could do, he would be fine. He looked at the one that fell to his lap, watching her cheeks turn the slightest color of red. He couldn't help but smile at the sight of it.

"Haha, don't worry about it. It's not every day a guy can say that a girl fell from the sky, or ceiling in this case, right onto his lap. My mother would never believe me though."

Charlie gave the faintest of grins as he let a small laugh escape his lips, showing her that no harm had been done. He was about to introduce himself to her properly, until another girl walked right on in. He was starting to think that this was an all girl's school from the way they just kept entering. But honestly, if all the girls looked the way these three did, Charlie wouldn't mind being held captive at the school. They were all far prettier looking than any of the girls he remembered at his old high school. Well the first thing that he got from her entrance was the other girls name, the one that fell right onto his lap. Kitty. Easy enough to remember, and well, he was sure he'd remember it after that entrance. What caught him off guard was how the one that just entered knew his name. He blinked a few times, definitely remembering that he had not seen her until today. Had Ms. Daniels told the others that there would be new students, and what their name would be? It was the only reasoning he could think of.

"Uh yeah, hey." Charlie reached out to shake her hand, his other going behind his neck to rub casually. "Nice to meet you Avery."

The boy listened to Avery go on about a dance club that she started. He made a common shrug, forgetting that there would be clubs here. It was a school. "I'm not sure I'm much of a dancer. Sports that involve running are more my thing." He gave an innocent smile, apologizing already for declining her offer. Now if they had any sports team, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, he was going to be the first on the list. Especially for the latter. Just as quickly as she entered, Avery was out the kitchen doors to find someone named Abbott. Charlie watched her go before he looked over at Sway who had gotten extremely excited in Kitty getting her powers.

"Pretty cool if you can phase through anything in my opinion."
