It was very early when Yun-Hee woke up. She planned it that way. What she didn't account for was the delay with the planes. Frowning, she starred at the Korean symbols on the flight schedules. She would have to wait an extra thirty minutes to board the plane, and she was restless. Her cloak was itchy, and her shawl, well it was annoying. Sitting down, she waited for Kaemon to come with the coffee. Today she was going back for her final year at Mythica. Nothing special; just an ordinary school year as always. Excluding the fact about Dawn and Dusk. She knew there was going to be a meeting today, but that was going to be many many hours later.

Right now, it was still dark, actually if felt like night just begun. Kaemon came sooner than expected holding the two cups of coffee in his hands and grinning from ear to ear. He sat down next to Yun-Hee, making her feel warm inside, and not from the coffee either. She gave him a brief smile as she took the coffee from him. When he sat down and started blowing on his own cup, Yun-Hee pointed over to the plane schedule board, and made lazy waves with her arms to indicate the plane was coming late. He looked up and his eye brows raised.

"Oh. Well that wasn't planned for."

Yun-Hee nodded and gave a silent sigh.

"Well I'll just stay with you until it comes."

Yun-Hee looked at Kaemon shocked. He was tired, and still had to drive back, and yet he was willing to stay with her. She felt her face grow red as she gave him a heart warming smile. And so they waited for the plane to come. Hours later, Yun-Hee awoke on the plane as she felt she shawl slipping. Quickly she adjusted it and tied it back tighter. She looked around making sure no one saw, but everyone was asleep. Placing a hand on her chest she relaxed and looked out her window. She could see the sun was just barely coming up. She hoped she wouldn't be late, that would be last thing she wanted to happen. She still had some time till the plane landed, so she decided to go back to sleep.

Two hours later she was rushing out the airport waiting in the crisp cold trying to flag down a taxi. She had landed about half an hour ago, but it took ages trying to find her bag. When she had it she rushed outside looking for a cap. Finally, one had stopped and she quickly dumped her luggage in the back and entered in the back seat. The taxi driver gave a low whistle as he looked Yun-Hee over in the rear-view mirror.

"What's a girl like you doing out here this early, and all by yourself?"

With a crossed look, Yun-Hee shoved the piece of paper with the directions to the driver and then shoved the money at him. He took a look at the paper and then at her, and then at the money. Yun-Hee was running out of time and patience as she began to glare at the driver. Finally she shrugged and tucked the money into his pocket and began to drive finally. Yun-Hee could see the sun coming up into the gray sky, and then disappear into the clouds. Biting her lip, she took her cell phone out and began to text Kaemon letting him know she was alright. Now she would have to wait some more. Yun-Hee starred at her phone's time and noticed it was already 8:30. She still had a good twenty minutes of driving. Slumping back, she just had to endure it. Twenty minutes later the road to the school was viewed through the window as the taxi stopped.

"So, could I at least get your num-"

Yun-Hee had already slammed the door and was briskly walking to the trunk and popped it open grabbing her luggage. She then walked away cooly as the cab drove away. When she could no longer hear the car, she took off her shawl and cloak. Finally, for almost a year, she was free again. No more itchy cloak, or annoying shawl. She was free and she was late. By the time she entered the girl's dormitories her phone began to buzz. It was nine o'clock and Aaron was already holding the meeting.

      My room. Now. Come alone.

Feeling her face flush she began to rush up the floors. Five minutes to get up and into her room. She didn't even bother to try and unpack. She was in a hurry. Almost in a panic she ran out of her room and down the stairs. Five more minutes wasted. It would take her five minutes to get across the campus as well. That was if she was flying as well. As soon as she was outside, she jumped up as he wings began to beat together. She took to the air as trickles of gold sparkles flew from her feet and wings. Her wings beat faster and faster as she quickly tried to reach the boy's dormitories.

When she finally did she took another minute to relax. It was nine sixteen as she entered the boy's dormitories. She looked behind her to make sure no one had followed her, and they didn't. Why should they? It was Yun-Hee. No one really noticed her. Rushing up the stairs, she didn't pause for a moment. However she did shiver as she passed the fifth floor. The AC must have been running a little too high. When she was up on the sixth floor she rushed to Aaron's room. She frowned as she could hear his laughter. She was missing it, or perhaps already missed the meeting. All from that damn flight. Clearly embarrassed, she knocked on the door. She couldn't get in unless he opened the door.

      Knock, knock.

xxxClo is just a shorter version of Chloe. It originated from her father than passed onto close friends and other family members. Some members of her own brigade use it as well. One example would be the King of Diamonds. Chloe looks up to him as a brother, and actually has a much closer standing with him than any of her half-siblings. This is why she allows him to use such a nickname. If anyone else who wasn't a part of any of the three previously state parties tried to use that nickname, well Chloe would get pretty ticked.

                  Clover
xxxIn Joker's Ace, she is given the title of the Ace of Clovers. That's one reason why she took up Clover as a nickname. Another reason would be that she just happens to like clovers; no matter how strange and coincidental that may seem. Lastly, she chose it was because she figured it sounded cooler for a mechanic than Chloe ever would. Not to mention that Clover and Chloe sound alike. It's all in the "clo", at least she seems to think so.

              Head
xxxThe first thing that comes to question with Chloe's feature is her hair. It's not long and flowy like most females. It's short and cropped. In other words she keeps her straight hair into the style of a male hair-do. She does this for her own appeal and also for her own work. Being a mechanic requires no distractions, and long hair is a distraction. She used to have it long, but after a horrible mechanical incident in Italy, she cut it short. Now she can move easier, and more importantly not have her hair being attached to any machine. He hair color is a dark brown, mostly inherited by her mother. Actually most of her features are her mother's. Her straight brown Asian hair, her dark brown eyes, the tan, all except for the height. The height is all her father's. When her hair was longer people said she looked just like a younger version of her mother. You won't find many scars on her face, but perhaps on her hands, but you may sometimes find her face blackened by grease and oil. At school she tries to keep clean, and on the few occasions that she is out hanging with friends. At home and with Joker's Ace she is a natural grease monkey. Her face can and does get very very dirty.

              Body
xxxNow the first thing a person notices about Chloe's body is that she lacks breasts basically. She has them, but their small and unnoticeable. She claims that she's just a late bloomer. It's because of this and her baggy clothes that sometimes people think her a young boy. Quite frankly it gets her furious. Chloe hates to stress the fact that she is a female, but if she doesn't then people think she's a guy. One time back in Italy when she was younger a girl came up with a basket of food and asked if they could go on a picnic date. One could imagine how the girl ran out screaming and crying. Anyways, one will find her upper arms to have small, but tight muscles on them. It's not from working out, but because of all the work she does for Airtechs and dites, and not only that but basically anything else that needs fixing. Her hands are rough and not as soft as a female's should be, but she likes it that way. Just like her face, you may find Chloe's hands hard to shake with; only because they seemed to be covered in a black grease and oil. Besides the lack of breasts, Chloe also lacks a butt and hips. She's as flat and unattractive as a bean pole. This was defiantly not inherited by her mother, but by her loving father. Now, she's tall, but not that tall. She should be much taller from her father, but her mother's short figure brought her down. one could say that Chloe's legs are of an athlete, but that's from being an AT'er. She likes to do it for fun, but she's nowhere near as good as the other's in Joker's Ace. Her calling is in fixing them.

              Clothes
xxxDresses? Skirts? That's not Chloe at all. She only ever wears dark colors. This is excluding her school uniform. She loves baggy pants or cargo shorts the most. Her shoes are for the most part sneakers or low top converse. When out with friends she wears guy clothes, because they are nice and baggy. When working she usually wears tank tops of either dark colors or white, although the white usually turns to black by the end of the day. It's not to show off anything, not that she has anything, but to work easier and release the heat from her body. Doing all that work puts up a sweat. As for piercings and tattoos, well she has none. She's thinking getting one piercing in her right ear cartilage, but she's skeptical about it and fearful that it might get caught in something while she works. Moving on from those, Chloe does have scars. Every now and then she'll cut herself or rip open her flesh from working so it's only natural that one could notice small scars on her hands. The only scar that she has that's big enough to notice is a thin line on her right arm. It starts from about them middle of the outside of her arm and curves down into almost the middle of her underarm. Chloe never tries to hide it, because to her it a scar that was made by her work. Naturally she enjoys it.

        « under the mask ! !
              · { H } eadstrong

Like the regular Aries she is, she lives up to her title. Chloe likes things done her way, or at least done her way in her own special categories. She sometimes uses it for school, such as for projects and such, and sometimes at home as well. There she uses it for when she cooks dinner or for cleaning the house, and more often for fixing the broken things in her house. Where she really likes things to go her way is when she's fixing or modifying Airtechs or dites. Obviously she can't control who gets to be faster or lighter or bulk, but she can at least still fix it herself. She absolutely hates being questioned about her methods or her work. She also hates it when people try to take her work away from her, in which she'll snap back at them with her famous line of "I'd like to see you try". She's very stubborn about her work, and unless the Airtechs were modified by her, she will throw a fit from the AT'ers going out into a match.

Chloe is the same way about help. She doesn't mind if someone wants to hand her a wrench, but as for touching the Airtechs or dites themselves, she considers that a no-no. Usually she'll just lightly smack a person's hand away if they make the mistake a first time, but if they try it again she'll yell them out of her workspace. Sometimes people push this towards her being uncooperative, but that isn't the case. If you ask anyone to do something they will always feel better if they can do it themselves. That's just the way she feels about it too. She knows that she's quick and a genius at her work, which is why she feels so strongly that she works on her brigade's equipment herself. Chloe trusts only her hands with their Airtechs and dites. She may be a little hot-headed, but for good reason. The point is, is that she knows she's one of the best so she knows only rare people can do better than her in her field. It's not a matter of pride or arrogance, but a matter that she knows she is the only one who can keep her team mates safe from equipment malfunctions.

              · { D } evoted

Boy is she ever. School work, chores, and errands hold nothing to how devoted Chloe is to her real calling. Fixing, creating, and modifying Airtechs and dites has all of her attention. Seeing new parts to something usually makes her oblivious to all around her. She begins to resemble a little kid looking at a new action figure. She's so devoted into her work that she's made it her life goal to get so good, no great, at what she does that she wants to make a Regalia. To do this she knows she has to be entirely devoted to being a mechanic and she is. She started this dream when she was younger and has been continuing this till now. She plans to follow this dream until she gets it. That is why she is so devoted and passionate about what she does. Each part is like a small child to her. She will stop at nothing to meet her goal. That's why occasionally Chloe will give herself check points where she'll time herself on how fast she take apart and put back together Airtechs and dites. Then she'll get more advanced where she will improve them with just a limited amount of parts. She's also tried blindfolding herself, and she make analysis of several parts to know them fully. That last part though costs her a night's worth of sleep.

              · { D } aring

You know that dream she has? Well she can't complete it if she isn't willing to work outside the box. It's almost as if she has the heat of competition with herself. Now obviously she isn't going to go all adventuresome right before a match, but for a practice run she defiantly will. Scrimmage matches are another example of when she might add something new or change it and experiment. Sometimes it doesn't always work out to how Chloe wants it, but other times it's a big improvement. Obviously she does her research before she just goes and tries something randomly new. The only exception is when she has a gut feeling that something will work. There have only been one or two battles where she quickly makes an upgrade to someone's Airtech or dite and it turns out helping them later. This is only when her intuition tells her that this new change or fix will help them out 100%. If it's iffy she'll wait to experiment for a practice run. Now although she's daring, she isn't daring to set something dangerous up to someone without them knowing. She always gives a warning to her guinea pigs before they try out their new Airtech or dite.

              · { B } old

You know that attitude of "I'd like to see you try", well this is what it means. Chloe is defiantly bold to everyone. Well except to the King of Diamonds. She seems to have less of an attitude when she's with him. Everyone else though knows her for her straight to the point attitude. She's not afraid to tell someone they're wrong or whack them away from her work. When it comes to compliments she won't beat around the bush or give fake compliments. She tells everything like it is and when they are deserved. If someone says something about her behind her back she'll go to that person and demand they say it to her face. Sometimes she's considered to be brazen because of this. She also doesn't try to give the mixed signal sign. If she likes you, then you'll know. If she doesn't like you then you certainly will know. This is plainly seen with her and the Ace of Diamonds. Sometimes her boldness actually helps her personality. She never has to brag in front of anyone or show-off. She knows she's the best, so she says it flatly, and moves on to her work.

              · { F } iery

Passionate. That's basically what fiery means. Chloe may seem rough around the edges but she is surely spunky and passionate about what she does. When she does a great job with her work or an upgrade was successful she won't hide it. She'll jump for joy and wear a cheeky smile on her face. It's not a matter of doing better than another person, as it is that she is just improving herself. To her it's not about being better than someone else, it's about doing the best she can. Not to say she doesn't have rivalry, which she does. The difference is that it is healthy and good sport rivalry. When gets into the heat of a petty competition she'll get pretty rallied up and get caught in the moment. During a match though she'll become eager to see how her modifications worked out. When a challenge comes up that's set just for her, one could swear that they actually see a fiery spark in her eye.

              · { C } autious

It does seem like a contradiction after calling her daring, but instead it is mixed with daring. As stated earlier Chloe is daring, but still cautious. She will never ever in a million years dream of trying something dangerous during a match. It's fear that has her as its victim. Ok so sometimes she doesn't get along with all of her team mates, but she doesn't want the guilt of them getting hurt over faulty equipment. Ever since that one match where she forgot to screw in a tiny screw for the Ace of Diamonds, she always double checks things. Mind you she isn't a fan of his, but besides of his outside brigade friendships, she is truly sorry and guilty ridden ever since that day. She's quick with her hands, but she is also cautious with things. If one thing messes up it could really injure someone. Chloe knows how bad these things get, and she's scared.

              · { A } ntisocial

This is no way means that she is shy. She is not shy and she is not a hermit crab obsessed with her work. This simply means that she doesn't always know how to act with people. Sometimes she's too rough or too harsh. The King of Diamonds helps her a lot with trying to get along better with people rather than machines. Besides him it's really just the Puppeteer and the Ace of Hearts who help her out of her awkwardness. How? Well with their harmless teasing and jokes, she learns to loosen up some more. There is one set back though. If they mention the Ace of Diamonds. She just can't stand him at all. One because she feels an enormous amount of guilt, but also because of how on edge he makes her feel. She always questions his loyalty. When they mention him she huffs and ignores everyone but her work.

At school Chloe has to be somewhat social, and only because she has nothing to run to. It's not like she can just get up and walk over to her work station when she's writing an essay. At school she has to suck it up and try to get along with everyone. Sometimes it works and she finds an amazing person that just clicks with her, but other times and most of the time she gets seems to repeal people. It's not that she tries to do this, but her personality is just hard for her to get along. Sometimes she feels that machines just seem to get her better. For one thing they don't talk. For another thing they let her do whatever she likes to them however she likes to and whenever she likes to. When she goes on the rare hang outs with friends she usually keeps her mouth shut so that she doesn't ruin any of the moments. If you find a person that can get to her, someone like the King of Diamonds you may even hear her laugh. She's trying to get better with people, and some people are trying to help her. She's sure that one day she'll get it right and act like a normal female.

              · { Q } uick

This what Chloe is known for on her team. She is damn fast. All those check points and timing matches she has made for herself really paid off. It's gotten her known as Joker's Ace quick mechanic. If something should happen in a match and she needs to fix the equipment she pulls out her screw driver and has it fixed before they can say Clover. As for anything else, well besides cooking and cleaning, she just works at normal speed, or snail speed as she says. As for her own AT'er skills, she's only fast with her fingers. She's not horrible, but she's not nearly as good as her team mates, which is why she stays on the side lines waiting to fix something. Off her Airtech though one could call her swift on her legs, but that's just for running. Chloe seems to think she's only considered fast when it's with her hands, and more specifically when a wrench is in one of them and a screw driver in the other. Sometimes it's these quick fingers that save her butt. Her fingers move so fast and just seem to know what to do even if her mind could be mentally breaking down.

Not just is Chloe quick in a physical way, but also in a mental way. This doesn't mean that she is the smartest, and is nowhere near as wise as the Queen of Hearts. What she means is that she can learn and do things quick. One never has to worry about telling or teaching something to Chloe twice. She gets it as soon as she is taught it. When it comes to thinking or talking back in a remark, she'll get it. Right on the dot. What's more is that she's good with the perverted jokes that seem to be popular in this era. Sometimes she'll laugh, but most times she won't, but that doesn't mean that she doesn't get it. She does, she just doesn't find it funny.

              · { L } oyal

Oh geez, man is she ever loyal. If you can somehow make it past her odd demeanor you defiantly gain her trust. When she gives someone her trust, you best treasure it, because not many can claim it. When you have it she basically looks out for you. She gives them protection, or back-up whenever they need it. More importantly she won't tolerate any negative insults about that person if it's behind their back. She gets pissed and confronts the person. Chloe becomes so loyal that she would do anything for that person. There are only two people so far that have her complete trust. One is her father, and the other is the King of Diamonds. She trusts him full-heartedly and would do anything for him. He is like the real brother she never had. Chloe has given him basically all her secrets and vice versa. It may not be right, but sometimes she just feels so special that he comes to her for some things that he doesn't go to the Queen of Hearts for. Since her loyalty is so strong one could easily piece this together as to why she doesn't like the Ace of Diamonds.

              · { A } ngry

Yup. Her negative flaw. She gets angry and touchy very fast and very harsh. She has a wrath that is like no other. It's not like scary banshee coming at you, it's like girl with a mean right hook heading right towards you. Chloe doesn't mean to, but when some challenges her knowledge about her job, or worse, says something negative about someone she trusts, then she gets angry. It's not very lady like and it's not graceful, but it's just who she is. She's been considering anger management, but she's always putting it off. Although it does become appealing when a person a head bandage looks at you with that scared look. Ok, so she threw a wrench at someone once. Big deal. They deserved it. They dared to insult the King of Diamonds.

              · { C } ompassionate

As harsh as Chloe is, she still is a human, and has human emotions. She knows when someone is truly hurt, and she sometimes finds herself trying to comfort them. She's angry and bold, but she's understanding. For one example, she is mad at her mother for just leaving and starting a whole new family, but she's understanding as well. Her mother was young and didn't know what to do. Chloe is no doubt about it, anti-social, so she is awkward about being kind, but at least she still tries. It doesn't always work the way she wants it, but if she never tries she'll never succeed. It's odd that one so out there can still feel like a human. Chloe is still very much a human, no matter how deep she gets with machinery, and everyone knows that the heart is a very strange and unique place.

Her true parent, her caring parent, has always been Angelo Bonaventure Marino. The other parent, the one Chloe only owes her existence to, is always going to be Dai Fukuoka. He works for a printer company. He started out as just an intern in Italy, but soon in his twenties he became higher in the ranks. He was then sent to Japan because they were cooperate sharers and needed a representative of the work place who wasn't just a VP. Angelo was chosen and for the first time he was leaving Italy. He worked diligently and hard during the time he was there. It made a very big impact to some of the higher ups and so they invited him to a party. They were all going out to a Japanese club. Angelo tried to stay no more than tipsy. Then Dai came. She was one of the cooperate's nieces. She seemed very keen on Angelo, and perhaps this was only because he was different than the others. Angelo fell hard for her. Soon however, he had to go back to Italy, but he brought her with him and they eloped. Dia and Angelo didn't plan to have children for a very long time. However on their honeymoon Dia, like the fox she is, seduced Angelo. Eight weeks later she found out she was pregnant. She wanted to have an abortion, but Angelo couldn't bare it. He wanted the baby. Bitterly she agreed. Nine months later Chloe was born into the arms of her loving father and upset mother. Dai couldn't deal with it. She never even made it to one year when she told Angelo that she was leaving him and Chloe. Her explanation was that she was still young; she wanted to see more places and do more things with her life. Angelo was heartbroken, but it was either Dai or Chloe. He chose Chloe.

Dai left him for America. Not even a month later did she find herself a new boyfriend. Months later she already had three past boyfriends. A year later and she has seven. By this time Angelo stopped communicating with her and focused on his only pride: Chloe. Obviously there was no motherly figure in her house, but Angelo did his best to communicate and care for Chloe. This is perhaps why Chloe is the way she is now. One could say that this is when her mechanic skills came in. Angelo would always let her play around with the parts of a printer from his company when he had to take them home and fix them. Chloe loved it when she was littler and she loves it now. When she was four, Angelo received a letter from Dai telling the happy news that she was pregnant again. She was keeping the baby and couldn't wait for her baby to come. Angelo never told this to Chloe. If it was breaking his heart that his ex-wife didn't even care about their child, then how would Chloe feel if she found out her mother didn't even consider her as her child. For this reason Angelo always avoided questions about Chloe's mother when she asked. By the time Chloe was six, Angelo could already see who Chloe had taken after. All of Chloe's features were her mother's. There were barely any signs of Angelo in her. Because of this, any time Angelo brought Chloe to work, someone would always ask if Chloe was adopted. Later that year Dai sent another letter. She was pregnant, again. By this time Angelo was beginning to see a trait that he should have seen earlier with Dai. The next year came, and another pregnancy. Two years later another baby and unexpected news. Dai wanted to see Chloe.

Angelo was worried about sending his nine year-old daughter off on a plane to Dai. He wasn't worried about the plane, but rather Dai. He sadly could not go with her because he needed to stay at work. Chloe was excited beyond all feelings. She wanted to just talk and talk and do nothing but talk to her mother. She even brought many pictures of herself as she was growing up to show her what she missed. Chloe couldn't wait to show her mother how much she had grown up. When she arrived in the U.S. her mother ran to her gave her a smothering hug.

"Oh my little Chloe! How I missed you. Come come. Things are going to be much different now that you're living with me. Oh, but where are my manners? All your brothers and sisters are waiting for you! Oh and Steve is going to want to see you too!"

Chloe was in shook. Live? No, that's not what Chloe had planned on the plane. She was supposed to come, see her mother, convince her to come to Italy, and live happily ever after. Chloe couldn't believe that she had brothers and sisters either. And who was this Steve?

Chloe sat in a very crowded car with her four half-siblings and four more step-siblings. Nine kids. There were nine kids in this car. All the half-siblings were younger than her, and her step-siblings were half. Two were younger and one was her age, and the oldest boy was thirteen. The back seats were a mess, and all the noise was disturbing. Chloe tried not to let this set-back break her from her plan. As the car started, Chloe pulled out the pictures of herself from her overall pocket and leaned over to the front seats and to her mother.

"Mom, mom! Look what I brought you! These are pictures from when I was a baby. And these are from my birthdays. And these are from-"

The man driving suddenly cleared his throat and spoke to her mother.

              "Dai... Could you?"

"Oh yes. Sorry Steve. Listen Chloe, just sit back and you can show me those when we get back to the house ok?"

Confused and hurt Chloe sank back into the noise and mess. This was not how she pictured it at all. Once back at the house everyone seemed to know what they were doing and where they were going. All except Chloe. Nervously she just let herself be the last one in. Everyone went back to their daily routines and simply ignored her. Chloe tried to talk to her mother again when this man, Steve, began to kiss Dai's neck and whispered something into her ear.

              "Mom, mom!"

              "Ah, yes. Later hun."

Then she left up the stairs with this Steve. Chloe just stood there in the chaos that was her family. She decided to approach her step-sister that was her age.

"H-hi! I'm Chloe. I like to fix things, like my papa. He fixes a lot of things. I have pictures of him and of me. See."

The girl didn't even look at her or her pictures. Instead she focused on the tv.

"I'm Frances, and I'm on the Jr. Cheerleading squad. They say I have real potential. Why do you speak so funny?"

"Oh! That's 'cause my papa is from Italy. I'm Italian too!"

The girl stopped randomly clicking buttons and looked at Chloe.

"But aren't girls from Italy supposed to be pretty? How come you're not pretty?"

"B-but, my dad says I look just my like mom. And everyone says that she's pr-"

Frances had stopped paying attention and was back to starring at the tv.

That night Chloe cried in her small bed in the small guest room, which was now her room. None of her siblings were happy that she got her own room, but Chloe was thankful. She was crying because she missed her father, and because things weren't working out the way she wanted to. Not at all. For the next couple of days Chloe stayed in her room and only came out for meals, but nobody noticed. Then the oldest boy, Gary, was turning fourteen. Everyone was preparing his party for him, and everyone was getting him a gift. Chloe thought and thought, but she hadn't the slightest idea what to get him. The day before his party though, Chloe over heard her mother and Steve talking about where to hide Gary's gift. They had gotten him his first pair of Airtechs. Then Chloe got the strangest idea. What if she could make them better? What if she could pre-update them so that they fit to Gary's body type and strengths. That night Chloe quietly got Steve's tools and took Gary's gift from its hiding spot and opened the packaged. It took her the whole night to do it, but she upgraded it and set it to his body type. During the party Chloe was almost giddy with anxiety. She wanted to see the look on Gary's face when she told him she already fixed it for him. When he opened the package Gary was so excited that all he did was grab them and run outside. Chloe followed after him. As he was putting them on, Chloe decided to let her gift know.

              "I already set them."

              "Hm? What?"

"I said I already set the-"

"No. I heard what you said. I'm not stupid. So you touched my gift? You opened it before me?"

"Well yes, but only so that it would fit your body typ-"

Gary silenced her when he got up and then quickly threw the Airtechs on the lawn.

"You ruined my gift! Everything's ruined! Why don't you just go back to Asia!"

Chloe starred at Gary in shock as he pushed her and knocked her back and proceeded to run inside crying.

"But I'm not Asian. I'm from Italy."

From the doorway, Chloe starred as Gary with a tear stricken face pointed angrily at her. Everyone was silent and starring at her. Steve was shaking his head is disapproval, and Dai couldn't even look at her daughter.

The next day it was clear everyone wanted her out. Even her mother was worried about keeping her. After breakfast Dai went and stroked Chloe's long hair.

"You do have the face of mine, and especially my hair. But ... you're not exactly forming into the shape that I had at your age. It's almost like that's the genes you got from your father."

              "Jeans? These aren't papa's jeans. They're mine."

"No, no jeans hun. Genes. I means that you look like your father. Well at the body that is."

              "But papa's a guy! And I'm a girl!"

By this point Frances perked up from the couch and pointed at Chloe.

              "No wonder she's not pretty!"

Everyone seemed to find this funny and laughed at it, except for Chloe. She turned around and looked at her mother, the one she wanted to love, but just couldn't any more.

"I want to go home. I want to go back to papa."

Dai looked down at nodded. It was time that Chloe left. Perhaps it was futile to try and change Chloe. The next day Dai wrote to Angelo telling him she was sorry, but no matter how much kindness in her heart she could not change Chloe from the barbaric and manipulative girl she was. She said she couldn't handle her and knew from the beginning that she was a bad egg. Four days later Chloe was back on a plane, and when she looked back her "family" as they called themselves had ran for it and disappeared. Chloe was fine with it. She was better off with her papa. When she arrived back in Italy Chloe couldn't help but cry as she ran to the arms of her only true caring family. Her papa. Things were better again now that Chloe was with him. A year passed and there were no efforts in communication with either of the parties. Then Chloe's hair incident happened. She was back in the comfort of fixing things, and for her tenth birthday her father surprised her with an added detail to their house. He built her a workroom just for her. It was connected to the garage and had an open doorway just like a garage. Chloe also received her very own Airtechs. She was only a novice at fixing things, but she had to start somewhere. One day as she was trying to upgrade her own Airtechs quickly before school started, she made too fast of a turn. Her hair had fallen into one of the wheels, and since she was in a rush she didn't notice it and screwed the wheels tight with her hair along with it. In an urge, Chloe spun the wheels with her hands making sure they worked when the rest of her hair wrapped around the wheels. Chloe felt an enormous amount of pain and was completely helpless as the Airtechs held their grip on her head.

When Angelo finally came back home he noticed her in her school uniform with grease all over her face and her hair knotted in the wheels. Tears were running down her face as she kept trying to tug her hair out. Angelo came running with a pair of scissors. He warned Chloe that he would have to cut basically all of her hair, but Chloe just said bitterly.

"Cut. Cut it all. I don't want this reminder or the other one either."

              · { C } hapter Ⅴ

That is when Chloe decided to cut her hair and rid herself of her mother as much as she could. Obviously she still has her face, but not when it's covered in grease. Another incident happened when Chloe was eleven. A girl with a flowing white dress and brown luscious curls skipped to her house and entered the workshop nervously.

"Uhm. Hi. I'm Kami. You know my brother Luciano. You fixed his Airtechs. I've been watching you. You're very crafty with your hands. I was wondering if you wanted to go on a picnic with me. It could be a date if you wanted."

Chloe looked up from her work and at the clean girl. She took out one of her towels and wiped her face from the grease and sweat. She looked at the girl with an blank look. The girl drew near to Chloe and quickly leaned over trying to kiss her. Chloe quickly shoved the girl away and with wide eyes backed away.

"Oh so you like to play rough. I can deal with that."

Chloe gave a shocked look and finally had the courage to speak up.

"Listen Kami. I'm a girl. Not a guy! Now could you please just go?"

"Oh please. I don't believe that for a minute. You're too handsome to be a girl."

Now Chloe was really angry. This is probably when her was anger awoken. Grabbing the wrench she began to wave it at the girl.

"Now listen here! I'm a girl! I'm not a guy, I'm a girl, and my name is Chloe. Get over yourself and find someone else to go play dates with. And do not come back here again? You hear me? Never. You're brother yes, but you no."

The girl began to cry and started screaming as she ran out of the garage. Chloe shrugged and with a scowl went back to her work. Enough was enough. Chloe didn't know it but her time in Italy was coming to an end. The next year Angelo's company announced to him that the whole eloping scandal was blown over and they needed him in Japan again. Angelo was forced with two choices. Either he took Chloe with him or send her back to her mother. When Angelo asked Chloe what she wanted, she responded coldly, but still with a heartwarming complement.

"Papa, I will never be separated from you again, and there is no amount of money that you can pay me to go back to mother's place. I'm coming with you for better or for worse."

Chloe had to say good bye to Italy after her sixth grade year in the summer, but she found going to Japan as an adventure. She was ok with Airtechs, but Japan would make her better. Her skill as a mechanic was stunning, but not great enough yet. Japan would make her better. Her father told her on the plane that she was going to attend Wakanai International School. Two reasons for this. One it was the closest, and two it would be better for Chloe to go there. There she could speak English and be fine. She knew Italian as well, but English was becoming more renown. Although, her mother was Japanese, Chloe herself never knew not one Japanese word. Chloe attended there at the beginning of seventh grade when she was twelve and has been attending there for four years. During those four years she became deadly with her skill as a mechanic and met an older boy whom she would fall for. It was there that she met the King of Diamonds. He was older than her by two years, but she still found him positively attractive, and so kind. Chloe was a bit embarrassed by herself getting so caught up over an older guy. Then she heard that he had formed a brigade called Joker's Ace. The word was that he was looking for a mechanic. Chloe approached him and with a heavy heart and shaking legs she told him that she could be his mechanic. He wanted to see her skills so he brought her an Airtech that seems beyond repair, and told Chloe to fix it. Chloe pulled out her tools and got to work. An hour later the Airtechs were usable again. Now Chloe could pull that off in ten minutes, but she was older now. The King of Diamonds saw the potential in her and accepted her.

        · { C } hapter Ⅵ

Even though Chloe was accepted into Joker's Ace, her story still had more. She still had the issue about her little crush at the King of Diamonds. It began to swell inside her that it was making her worried because she had never felt this way before. The King of Diamonds also began to show a trust in her. Chloe was truly happy and she did plan to tell him one day about her feelings until one day when they were talking in private he told her how grateful he was for her listening to all his problems and secrets. He told her that if she ever needed anything he would help her, because she was almost like a sister to him. It was then that Chloe made the decision that she would never tell him. For one thing, she didn't want to be embarrassed. The other reason was because of the Queen of Hearts. When Chloe observed it from afar she noticed that when those two were together it all seemed to fit perfectly. They were a perfect match, and Chloe was just another oddball. She was hurting inside for awhile, but eventually she got over it and was happy that she was back to her old self. Now she too looks at the King of Diamonds as the big brother she never had. This is why she gets so touchy when people say something bad about him. Another tale of Chloe is the issue regarding the Ace of Diamonds. It was the one time that Chloe really messed up. That tiny little screw was her black smudge on her perfect record. That day she was in a rush, and didn't bother to double check his Airtechs. It wasn't till he was out there in the battle when she noticed the screw on the floor. Chloe tried to call him back, but the match already started. He lost, and Chloe found herself hung with shame.

She avoided him for awhile after the incident, no one really gave her any crap because it was just a small mistake, but Chloe was beating herself on the inside. She still remembers it when she looks at him. Now, the reason that she is watching him is that he's been seen talking to The Thunder and The Hawk. It worries Chloe the most because she feels that he might betray the group. Perhaps she's being too harsh, but it's just her amount of loyalty to Joker's Ace and the King of Diamonds that makes her so. All she knows is that she's watching the Ace of Diamonds very very closely.

shhh, it's a secret !xxxxxxxxxx

« i wouldn't mind more of this ! !
        ● ● Parts
xxxNew parts, old parts, spare parts, used parts. It's parts galore for Chloe. She really doesn't care if they are broken or old, she can always fix them up, and if all else fails, she can sell them and get new parts. However, she usually never does this, because she always finds a use for any sort of part. Sometimes she doesn't even need them, but she keeps them just in case. Thus she is considered a form of pack rat.

        ● ● Broken Airtechs
xxxShe knows it's wrong, and she knows it will never happen to her team as long as she is on it, but broken airtechs thrill her to no end. If someone has an Airtech that is broken, they give it to her, and she takes it as a challenge and tries her hardest to fix it. In Italy it was ok for her to do this, but now since she joined Joker's Ace, she finds it hard for her to fix many others because she fears she may be helping out another team in disguise.

        ● ● Tools
xxxHer hands may be quick, but they mean nothing without her weapons. Chloe loves all her tools, and even if they get greasy and dirty, she always finds time to clean them up at night. Just as a knight needs their sword, a mechanic needs their tools. If she didn't spend so much on parts, she probably could buy better tools, but she feels that it isn't the brand of tools that matters. It's the skill of the user.

        ● ● Gum
xxxFor some reason a mechanic just isn't complete without a tooth pick sticking out of their mouth, or chewing on gum. Chloe is the gum chewer type. Somehow it just makes her mind focus entirely on what she is doing. When's she's fixing something she will chew a lot, but she never seems to blow bubbles, and this is because she doesn't want her gum to come into contact with what she's working with, because then it just becomes a hassle.

        ● ● Sour Candy
xxxMost girls love sweets and all that sugary goodness, but not Chloe. It's not that she dislikes sweets, it's just that sour is much more her thing. She enjoys the sensation of a candy getting the better of her and making her lips pucker. To her taste buds, sour is much more prefered. So, if one ever wants to make amends with her, just hold up a bag of sour candy.

        ● ● Solitude
xxxNot to be confused with being shy. Chloe just likes working in solitude and being in solitude. She does acknowledge the fact that she is an oddball, and that she is awkward in society, which is why she secludes herself for the better of everyone. Occasionally one may find her with some friends, but if you look closely, she still tends to keep to herself. She knows she needs to work on it, but if she can do it with her work, why not in her personal life as well?

        ● ● Warm Days
xxxOn those rare moments when Chloe isn't working, isn't at school, and isn't with friends, she tends to lay down on the grass on a warm day, and stare at the clouds. It doesn't necessarily have to be obnoxiously sunny, but so long as she can see clouds moving, she doesn't mind getting into some shorts and a t-shirt and relaxing for a bit. It may look like she's thinking very deeply or something else intelligent, but really she's just snoozing around.

        ● ● Cannolis
xxxThere is one dessert that Chloe just loves to death. Cannolis. In Italy she used to find shops that sold them everywhere, and always loved it when her father brought some home for a random surprise. Now that she's in Japan though, Cannolis are a bit harder to find. It's always hard for her to find a store that sells them whenever she wants a sweet dessert after her lunch.

        ● ● Test Runs
xxxChloe just loves to experiment new ideas, and test runs are the only way she can do it. Every time she has an out there idea, she grabs a willing victim and puts them out there to test out her modifications. If they work, she loves the test run even more, if not then she becomes obsessed with perfecting it and send the poor victim out on test runs until she gets it right.

« do not want ! !
        ● ● Sharks
xxxEveryone seems to fear some sort of animal. With most it's bugs, or others it's whatever they are allergic to. Chloe happens to have an odd dislike for a while not uncommon, but still strange nevertheless, animal. Sharks. She hates the fact that they are one factor why she doesn't go near the ocean. She knows it's silly because like everyone says "they are more afraid of you than you are of them", but quite frankly she finds this to be BS.

        ● ● Spicy Food
xxxIronic isn't it? Chloe just never did have the taste buds to handle spicy food. In Italy it was only so-so with the spices, but not that she has moved to an Asian country, things are much different. Practically everything has spices in it, which is why Chloe is always careful when she buys something at a food shop. She always checks it to make sure there isn't anything spicy put in it.

        ● ● Girly Items
xxxThis includes skirts, dresses, short-shorts, flowy shirts, heals, earrings, necklaces, purses, sunglasses, make-up, perfume, and any designer items. Chloe has no problem with others girls being girly girls, and doesn't mind at all if they wear any or all of these items. What she hates though is when someone tries to put those items on herself. She will throw a huge fit.

        ● ● Pollen
xxxChloe does have a small allergy to pollen, but that's not the reason why she hates it. She dislikes it because of the mess it makes. It's like yellow powder being sprinkled all over her tools and work. No one knows how hard it is to clean that off some tool, and have it smear in with the oil. She finds it to be absolutely disgusting. As for her allergy to it, you may hear a couple of sneezes from her, but that's really it.

        ● ● Shopping
xxxTo clarify, this means shopping for clothes. Shopping for parts is fun, but when it comes to clothes she just sucks at it. Her father knows that when shopping with Chloe she makes her own decisions, and never pushes her towards the girl aisle. When she's with her friends though, they always try to pursway her to go and find a nice dress or something. She always refuses. She's also a sucky shopper, because when her friends ask her for her opinion on the shirt they are wearing, Chloe always responds with "it looks great". Not much a friend is she?

        ● ● Burnt Food
xxxChloe herself never burns food, nor her father, but when she was in Italy, she would sometimes pass a house that burnt their food. She never eats burnt food, so it's not the taste that gets her. It's the smell. The smell of burnt food always seems to get her. It doesn't matter which food it is, so long as it's burnt she'll always wrinkle her nose and run.

        ● ● Help
xxxAs she has said before, she likes doing things her way and by herself. She doesn't mind a friendly handing of her tools, but pointing things out, or making suggestions just don't mix with her. Chloe knows what she is doing, and knows that there really isn't anyone that can help her with her work. Now, help with school, she wouldn't mind a bit.

        ● ● Gender Issues
xxxChloe hates having to repeat herself to others saying she is a girl. It's annoying and time consuming. She wishes that she could just ignore that question, but then when she does, everyone assumes she is a guy and then another problem happens. Girls start asking her out, and she hates the embrrassament of informing them that she is indeed a girl.

        ● ● Errors
xxxNow Chloe doesn't make them a lot, but when they happen, they happen, and it hits Chloe hard. She hates find faults in her work, and usually holds onto them for a very very long time. She can still remember the time she left a screw out and cost the Ace of Diamonds the match. Errors are very much hard to let go for her.

« no one's perfect ! !
        ● ● Fiddling
xxxNo one seems to notice this much because Chloe always seems to give a cool head demeanor. If one were to look away from her face during one of her test runs they might find the source of her nerves. Chloe gives nothing away from her face because she doesn't want anyone thinking that she is weak, or lose faith in her because even she sometimes has nerves about her experiment. However, if you look at her hands you might find her fingers toying around with one of her wrenches or screw drivers. The source of Chloe's nerves is all in her hands.

        ● ● Oblivious
xxxChloe doesn't like admitting this, but she really is oblivious to all that is around her. At school and home it's not too hard to break her thoughts, but when she's working one might as well just give up because you'd have to hold her parts over a trash can to get her to look up and study her surroundings, but even then, you'd probably want to do something else because if one did that she'd grab a mallet and chase you out of her work place with some bruises. The safest way one could probably draw her back into reality is if they held a Cannoli to her nose.

        ● ● Working
xxxSome say that Chloe works too hard at something she is already great at. Then they just call her obsessed when they find out she had been up all night quizzing herself on how to put together an Airtech. She is a heavy work-a-holic. She'd probably be really good at school if she applied the same force she has with being a mechanic to being a student, but she never wastes her energy. At home she kind of has to since her dad usually has to stay at work. Although there isn't much too clean, because Chloe already keeps it so clean, and her dad isn't much of a slob at all.

        ● ● Doodles
xxxChloe is not the best artist and doesn't like to draw at all, but like every student she doodles. One should only take one guess to know what she is doodling. Yes, that's right. She doodles about Airtechs and dites, and of her imaginary Regalia. She isn't very protective with her doodles either. Chloe doodles all over her notes when she spaces out, and on her homework, and even worse, on her essays. At first teachers disapproved of this, but Chloe always shrugged it off and they still scold her, but they both know that she is still going to do it.

        ● ● Sleep
xxxYah, remember how earlier it was said that Chloe loves her tools? And what is common with girls when they go to bed? They either have some pillow or stuff animal that they sleep with. Now imagine what Chloe sleeps with. That's right, her tools. Very strange isn't it. Now she doesn't cuddle them or anything, but she does wrap them up nicely and pat them right next to her in her bed. The one issue is sleepovers. The day has not come yet when Chloe has been invited to sleep over, but when it does she knows that she'll either have to bring her tools and look like a fool or go without them and miss a night of sleep from worry.

        ● ● Temper
xxxOne really does have to watch out for Chloe when she goes on a temper tantrum. Normally it's only directed toward the person that upsest her, but anyone could get caught in the cross fire. Remember Chloe does have a rumor that she threw a wrench at someone, so imagine if she was in her work space and had a chainsaw next to her. Now if she's in a bad mood, she won't purposely try to bring anyone down or let her problems become anyone else's, but if you bug her even a little she will take it out on you. Unless of course you are a friend that is enormously close. If so, she might just have a crossed look at you.

        ● ● Social Life
xxxChloe has nothing against people who have social lives, or people who are more popular than others. It's fine for them, but it's just not the life for her. She fears that if she starts to come out of her shell and finds that people actually like her, then she might get caught up in having a life and her poor tools would be forgotten, and then all her hard work reaching towards the goal of making a Regalia would all be for a waste. Maybe after she reaches her goal she might become more social, but for now she has come to far too lose it to a life.

        ● ● Drowning
xxxOf all the ways of being hurt Chloe feels that she could survive most of them. Drowning though, she feels she would die. Chloe does know how to swim, but she's like a cat. She's afraid to go any deeper than she can stand. She's always afraid her leg might get caught on something and keep her under the water until she can't breathe. Chloe also has the idea that even after she dies still floating in the water that no one would remember that she's dead so she would stay drowning forever. Very irrational isn't it?

        ● ● The Ocean
xxxIf she's afraid of drowning then she is defiantly afraid the ocean, which is basically the biggest pool on Earth. On top of her fear of drowning she had the discomfort of knowing that there are jelly fish, sharks, fish, and many other creatures that would gladly eat her dead body. With that in mind, Chloe has no problem with going to the beach, but she'll stay in the sand. Chloe tries to have fun, but once when she tried making a sand castle the tide came in and she ran thinking that she was going to be swept away with the current.

        ● ● Mistakes
xxxChloe hates making mistakes with her work. Her Airtech work that is. She's not a perfectionist until it comes to Airtechs and dites. At school she's perfectly fine with making mistakes on her homework and such, but when it comes to what she does a mistake could cost a match, or much worse. She doesn't make them often because she fears them so much. If someone on Joker's Ace were to get hurt from her mistake, then she might just kick herself out. She can barely deal with her last mistake with the Ace of Diamonds, so anything else might send her on an ultimate guilt trip.

        ● ● Moving
xxxTo specify, this means moving away from her father and to her horrible mother. After the last trip with her mother Chloe vowed she would never have to move with her again, but sometimes things happen and she understands this. She fears that something may happen with her dad's job and he may have to move somewhere else that Chloe might not be able to go. She knows if this did happen she would have to be sent with her mother. Her only comfort for this fear is the fact that as soon as she turns 18, she will be considered an adult and won't have to go live with her mom.

        ● ● Amputations
xxxAnother very odd and weird fear of Chloe. She doesn't go on her Airtechs very often, but she still fears that one day she may be in an accident and have to have one of her hands removed. Chloe loves her hands and her agility with her work, so losing them would be devastating to her. It would be as if a great piano player lost his hands and could no longer play. Being a mechanic is all Chloe knows best and it's all she considers herself to be good at. If she lost her arms not only would she have nothing to do, but she would lose a sense of security in herself.

best of the best !xxxxxxxxxx

«
this is my job ! !
        Mechanic
xxxChloe Marino is a name one won't soon forget. She is the mechanic for Joker's Ace and she's one of the best at her job. She's in charge of fixing, creating, modifying, upgrading and does basically everything else one can do with an Airtech or dite. Chloe takes the pride of working on everyone's Airtech and dite on her team. She's the one who customizes all their equipment to each style and body. She takes her job very seriously and pays attention to every detail. If their equipment becomes damaged during a battle she can fix it and have it back to them in a jiffy. When it's done she waits on the side lines again with the strategist, the Puppeteer, and waits for the match to finish. She never stops working because of her hopes to make a Regalia.

« speed demon ! !
        ● ● She can fix, but can she fly?
xxxChloe is pretty fast on her Airtechs, but sadly she just isn't the AT'er type. She does have a good body for all the right stats, but she lacks the skill to. Chloe probably could be better if she didn't devote all her time to her hands. On everything she is pretty average, except for her speed. Even still compared to the other's in Joker's Ace her speed seems to be nothing. Her turns also get her. She can never make the sharp turns. Thus she only gets a ★★. As a mechanic though she defiantly gets the full five stars.

« personalized ! !
        Little Tricks
xxxDid you honestly think that with being such a mechanic she wouldn't have something on her Airtechs? Chloe may not be an AT'er at heart, but that certainly doesn't mean she hasn't personalized her Airtech to balance her out. Chloe first balanced it out because she knows that she lacks sense of proportion with her body. Then for the wheels she upgraded them to be thinner and faster, that way she could really work on her speed, which is all she really has. Of course by doing this, it only worsens her ability to make turns. She didn't bother herself by making her Airtechs lighter because she wouldn't be doing any jumping any time soon, nor has she built upon their weight because if she did so her modified wheels would be sunk. As for fighting, well if she can't jump, I very much deny the fact that she can do fancy kicks with it either. Instead she would just use her fists. She did improve their durability though because during her practices she still tries to do all those jumps, but always ends up falling down.

« have a taste of Clover Chloe ! !
        ● ● She swings! She hits!
        xxxShe scores!
xxxxxxIt's not very often that Chloe is put into battle. She just stays on the sides lines cheering on her team mates while fiddling a wrench. On the very rare occassion that she is sent out she normally just acts a back-up for the others. Chloe also takes all her directions to mind. If they say do this, she'll do it. If they say do that, she'll do it. Normally Chloe isn't one for taking directions, but out in a battle where her mechanic skills are void, she listens very carefully. If she is out she normally just avoids battling and only because she lacks a dite. Chloe figures it's pointless getting herself one since she doesn't get sent out much, but during the time she is sent out she regrets it very much. Chloe is not a coward, but she will run if she is faced with a battle with someone who does have a dite. Another thing is that she doesn't try to show off or go in front or put any attention to herself. She would rather hang in the back and try and finish this battle as quickly as possible.

« RESTORATION 01 ! !
        None
xxxIt's very unfortunate to inform that Chloe actually has no dite. She fixes them and so on, but she has yet to own one because of her lack of involvement on the field. She has been planning though to get one just in case, but only at her leisure.

« even the best can mess up ! !
        ● ● She's got plenty
xxxOn the field, during the rare occasions that she is put out there, her weakness come up to bite her. As stated earlier she's isn't the best AT'er. Yeah she's fast, but that's it. Everything else is her weakness. She can't jump. She can't do sharp turns. She can't knock a person down with sheer force. And forget get about doing twirls in the air. If she can't even get her legs up then she defiantly can't get her butt off the ground. Basically she is the weakest link, and she hates the fact that she is, but she just doesn't have the right stuff.

Off the field and on her turf her weaknesses are really her flaws. She hates advice from people, so she listens to no one but herself. On top of that she has a temper if people annoy her enough, and that usually causes some problems with her work, because then she gets distracted by the annoying person and not focused on her work like she should be doing. This can cause her to neglect a certain piece of what she is fixing or modifying and then the whole work is ruined. Even if she does double check; no one is perfect. No matter how much she wants to be.

Izzy waited patiently as the boy fumbled around with his sleeve. She rolled her eyes as her parched throat begged for something. Looking crossed her foot began to tap as the boy seemed to remember what she had let him go for. He fumbled around in his pockets looking for his material, Izzy guessed. How could someone with those powers be so ill prepared? He then began to waddle off and Izzy almost began to yell at him when she saw him bend over and grab a sharpie. Ok, so maybe the boy wasn't lying. Izzy felt her safeguard weaken as she looked at the boy. Perhaps he really just was a poor boy who lost his eye, and ended up falling on top of the wrong girl. The boy came back and began to scribble something on his arm. Izzy raised an eyebrow as she looked at the boy waiting for something to happen. Suddenly, as if someone poured a bucket over him, water came crashing down and drenching him. Izzy lifted up her shoes, almost doing a jig, as she backed away from the puddle.

"What the hell man?!"

Izzy scowled at the boy as he began to scribble again. Then instantly the bottle of water appeared in his hand. He wasn't lying. Izzy gave a small grin. It was almost as if a small burden was lifted off her back. Although, she would have liked an excuse to give the kid just a wee pain of bee stings, but right now she was more interested in his eye. So it was a real fake eye. It was odd, but Izzy wanted to reach over and press her fingers in the flesh, to hear him say how painful it was. It was sending shivers of excitement down her spine. It was almost orgasmic to imagine the eye being pulled out, burned out, stabbed out, or whatever else could have happened.

"Et voila mademoiselle,"

The boy bowed as he held out her drink. What was that? French? Izzy didn't know. She knew Icelandic, and English, but as for anything else, well she was clueless. She couldn't help but laugh as the boy fell in the puddle. This boy was something else. Forget insects. Why bother on small things, when a boy was naturally able to cause himself pain was right in front of her. Izzy could feel it in her gut that this little small fry, metaphorically of course, was in for the year of his life. He had just become the center piece of Izzy's sick, sadistic mind.

CRASH

Izzy felt herself jump at the noise. What the hell just happened?

"Whw-whwhwahat w-w-waws was ththt-that!?"

"You tell me kid."

"I re-r-r--r-rememember it...but...whw-whwhat is it?"

"Huh. What's that kid?"

Izzy couldn't quite hear what the boy was saying. There were too many screams for her to listen. Suddenly the boy got up and grabbed Izzy's hand and started running.

"Hey! Wait! What the fu- Woah!"

"Hu-hu-hurry thththe penenpenguiguisnguins are g-g-g-etg-et-getting aw-way!"

Izzy couldn't understand a word this kid was saying. She was too busy being pulled and trying to keep up. This boy was fast. They had made it outside and Izzy noticed the glass upon the floor. Why was there glass on the ground? Izzy looked at the boy and followed his eyes, er eye, to the source. When Izzy looked up she felt her breath stop
short. There hanging in front of everyone like a dummy was Jesper. She knew Jesper, they were both in Dusk together, and she liked him. Not in any special way, but the fact that he was literally a jinx, he was more prone to pain. This, however, was not from himself. This was someone else. His chest had Dusk written on it. That didn't make sense though. Who would do that? Especially to someone who was actually in Dusk. Was it a Dusk member, or was it a student? It was all so confusing, and although now was not the right time, Izzy felt her spine tingle. The blood. His blood looked so fresh, so red.

But Izzy couldn't feel the sadistic pleasure. When she looked at his face, her own face twisted. He was unconscious, so there was no pain, so there was no pleasure. Instead she felt her eye brows furrow and her lips frown. If they did this to Jesper, who knows who else in Dusk was next. Suddenly the rope broke and Jesper began to fall. Izzy lurched forward and froze. Another person came out the window. It was a teacher, Mr. Smith. She knew him, and she envied him. He had the physical strength to beat someone into pain, which Izzy lacked. Izzy then noticed the boy began to shake.

                                                "Oh gog-g-ogo-go-d! We'er a-all go-g-g-g-oing to di-d-didi-e! Doo-doomsday! I don't wnw'w-w-want to d-did-eid-e die! D-d-d-ev-deves-station! M-m-m-m MINESHAFT GAP! S-s-s-s-strangelove!"

                                                "Hey! Calm the ******** down!"

The boy didn't listen as he immediately clung to Izzy. If he was smaller she probably wouldn't have felt so awkward, but he wasn't. He was taller and he was clinging to her. She hated affection, and she hated the feely touchy things. When he clung to her she felt her face redden, and she wanted to yell at him and punch him in the face, but now was not the time. Now it was time for all the Dusk members who were seeing this to bow their heads in mourning, and swear, swear that whoever did this pays. Izzy wasn't one for unity, but this organization was beneficial to herself, and she always cared for herself, so when you attack one, you attack them all. The boy was having a fit in her arms, which she had no idea when they had wrapped themselves around his body into an embrace. She could see people starring and she gave them all a pissed off glare. Silently they all turned away and tried to huddle back into the scene, upon which Jesper had left, being carried by Mr. Smith. Izzy would stop by later to make sure he was ok, when she was conscious of course. And if he was in a good mood, she would ask if it was painful.

It felt good coming out of the warm shower. Tobias picked up his uniform that was hanging on the towel rack and began to change into his red polyester shirt. Like all good employees he was expected to fold back the collar and tuck the shirt into his black pants. He was allowed to keep his sneakers on, but once at his job, he had to change into bowling shoes. Tobias brushed his teeth, barely combed his hair and took one last look at himself. Still just a tired man. He exited the bathroom to find Vincent standing up in his boxers and nothing else. In his hand he held a bottle of beer and was taking swigs from it.

"Hey mate. How's about you skip work and hang with a bloke like me. Just for today?"

Tobias laughed as he grabbed his jacket.

"One, that's racism, mate. Two I have a job, and you heard Pete this morning. He'll kill me if I lose my job."

Tobias picked up a newspaper that Pete probably forgot and rolled it up, then threw it at Vince.

"Here, take a look in there and at least think of getting one of those jobs."

Vince stumbled for the newspaper as Tobias exited and closed the door. He paused for a moment as he heard the thump. Vince had fallen. Well he would just have to clean up the mess. Once out of the apartment complex, Tobias slipped his arms into his jacket and zipped himself up in the cold. He always used to walk to work. It saved money, and plus he just didn't trust taking his motorcycle out to where he worked. Not a very nice neighborhood, and he would certainly beat the crap out of someone who dared to steal of vandilize his bike. He just didn't want to risk it. Tobias idly walked past people, but to him they were just shapes. Shapes of people who wore masks. Blobs of unknown men who were all the same hatred. Tobias found himself thinking this until he reached the bowling alley. No one there except for the workers, as always. It never got busy until night, and even then it was always the same blokes as the last night.

Once insider the warm bowling alley, Tobias made his way to the employee locker room. There he took off his jacket and hung it in his locker, and changed his shoes. The last thing he did was put on his name tag and stare at his face. He needed sleep. Back into the lobby, Tobias made his way to the shoe rental counter and placed his head onto it.

"I hope you don't plan on sleeping now Toby."

Tobias lifted his head up in annoyance.

"Listen Abe. I don't like be called Toby. That's a dog's name you hear. To-bi-as. And I'm not. I'm just waiting for the rookies to come in. And why are you coming on my back? I came here early didn't I?"

"Sure sure. And by the way, those rookies are already here. Look behind you."

Abe gave Tobias a pat and left him to his office. Tobias raised an eyebrow as he looked at the group of teenagers with zit infested faces who were staring at him. Getting up he wobbled to them, and with his eyes dropping lower into sleep he spoke.

"Ok. The first thing about working here is that you gotta keep this place spotless. Cleanliness is next to Godliness or whatever. So go and make this place clean. You will all be given two alleys each to clean, and the when you're all done I'll check them and the cleanest one will be your rookie captain kay? Then we'll move onto the machines. I have faith in you all."

With that Tobias lifted his head back a little and did two gun shot hand gestures at him.

"Go on. I mean it. Get."

He watched as they all scrambled and began to walk towards one of sitting booths for a random alley. There he began to lay his head down and not sleep, but at least shut his eyes.

Yun-Hee looked at herself in the mirror. She looked like she does every day. How dull. Yun-Hee had no choice but to be a fairy today. Tonight she was really Tinker Bell. She sighed as tucked the orange flowers in her hair. Tonight her hair came in a loose braid and all pulled into one side. On her head was a golden tiara. Thinking of the tiara, it reminded her of that first day back. She was late to the meeting, and then as soon as she comes, Tania and T'an coming out and a crash is heard. The boy in her grade was thrown out the window with Dusk written on him.

It had all of Dawn worried; Yun-Hee included. The boy ended up coming out ok, but it frightened Yun-Hee. She wondered if any other innocent students would be injured. Fluttering her wings, her eyes flickered back up. No. That was in the past; she had to think positive. Yun-Hee looked at her wings and noticed for the first time that all that Sun had caused them to gain color and become a color of red to golden yellow. She didn't notice before because she was so busy giving everyone their due money for their booths and focused on not going over the budget. Still, everyone wanted more and more money to make their booth the coolest. Regardless of Yun-Hee's notice her wings still matched her dark red dress. Since there was not much that Yun-Hee could do to herself, she just added make-up to her face and sparkles to the side of her face. Some of it was just glitter and some was tiny orbs that she made herself. She also laid some in her hair. Yun-Hee was careful only to use a little; since Aaron was teaching her to contain her energy.

Slowly Yun-Hee touched the tip of her ear and traced her finger down to her cheek and then her jaw. It made her think of the last time Nathan touched her. It was right before his accident. Yun-Hee wanted to run to him when she found out, but she had no money to visit him. She sent cards though. Just measly little cards. Giving a silent sigh she starred at her dress. She flattened out the ribbons in it and double checked their knots. She turned to her side examining the back bow and made sure it was kept even. Yun-Hee was early, but she needed to be. As Student Government Treasurer, she had to go see all the booths and make sure that if anyone had left overs they would give it back and not just keep it themselves.

As Yun-Hee left her room she could hear her golden shoes under her dress clinking against the floor. She had to lift her flowing dress off the floor as she made it down the stairs of the girl's dormitories. As she descended she thought back to Nathan. When he came back everyone wanted to see him, and who could blame them. Nathan was Mr. Popular, and everyone wanted to know him. Giving a small smile, Yun-Hee remembered how she wanted to embrace him as well, but he still didn't look well and Yun-Hee could see that he had a big enough crowd to please. When it finally did die down, she still couldn't see him. He was still avoiding her. Remembering this made Yun-Hee's lips flow downward as she pushed the door open. Her other hand held the clipboard, filled with paper, and a table with all the booths and their corresponding club, and it held a pencil. Once outside her feet and dress lifted off the floor as her wings took her in the air.

While she flew she headed for the closest place. The gym. Not too many clubs there; she was just going there to see if there was any left over money from the food or lights. She was much faster now that Aaron was setting up practices for her and timing her. As she flew she thought of Nathan again. Why was he acting so cold to her? They were such good friends during their first couple of years. It wasn't till last year when he started getting distant. The more confusing part to her was why was she so saddened by this? Didn't she like being alone? Didn't she decide that being alone was the best for her? This way she didn't have to go and get past this imaginary barrier.

One of her milky white hands touched her throat as she felt its slender curves. She would never speak again. Not since leaving the facility, and that was that. Well if Nathan didn't want to be near her, then that was that. Landing, she held her head high and entered the gym. Before entering though, she looked behind her to see how much "fairy dust" she left behind. Not too much, and this was good. Aaron made her goal to try and keep in and absorb as much energy as she could. When she entered some early love birds were already there getting ready to dance and it almost made Yun-Hee sick. She looked down at her clipboard and picked up her pencil. No had asked her as a date. In fact the only dates she had in her life were from Nathan. Nothing special. He dated everyone, for the sake of dating.

Grimly Yun-Hee frowned and began to scribble on a sheet of blank paper as her feet took her to a fourth year student boy who was setting up some paper cups. Yun-Hee tapped the boy softly on the shoulder and watched him turn around in surprise.

"Oh! Yun-Hee, you scarred me. Is there something you need?"

Yun-Hee held out the sheet of paper she scribbled on to show him what she wrote. The boy shook his head as he answered.

"No, sorry. We used all of it to buy as much food as possible. We even used the change for 25 cent gum. Want one?"

Yun-Hee held up a hand as she shook her head. Instead she made a dash mark on the club's spot and went over to the lights. Yun-Hee lifted her dress up as she went up the side stairs onto the stage. Some of the technology students were working at the lights. Yun-Hee tapped a nearby girl, who may have been a second year or third year.

"Hm? Oh hey. What do you need?"

Yun-Hee held up the sign to the girl and looked at her face. By the look she was giving she could tell this was a no-go as well.

"Sorry, but we used all we could to get all the lights for the left side of ......... the gym....."

Yun-Hee was already marking a dash for that club as well, but she looked up at the girl wondering why her sentence broke off. She heard voices behind her and followed the girl's eyes. When she turned around she wished she didn't. There was Nathan with another girl going on about something. Yun-Hee starred at his face and then quickly turned around. She hoped that he didn't notice her as she scurried across the stage. She jumped off the stage and floated down onto the gym floor and was going to make it to the doors when her name was called.

"Oh hey! Yun-Hee thank goodness you're here. Listen there's this dead bulb in here and we have no replacements. Do you think you could, you know?"

Yun-Hee turned around rolling her eyes. She felt her heart racing. If Nathan was avoiding her then she would do the same. Besides it seemed to her like he had enough time to see other girls as usual. Yun-Hee didn't know why she was getting so upset at this. When she looked at the light, her lips pressed together as she held out her hand and lent enough energy for the bulb to go on well into the night.

"Wow! Thanks again! You know you look like Tinker Bell! Except with darker hair. By the way you look very pretty today. Do you perhaps wanna go to the --"

The boy cut off as Yun-Hee shook her head and made and X with her two arms. She then gave a quick smile as she ran to the Gym's exit and gave a silent sigh as soon as she was outside. When she regained her courage she walked to the field and went to the closest booth.

"Hey Yun-Hee! Want to bob for apples?"

Yun-Hee shook her head and showed the sign. The boy thought for a minute then brightened up.

"Actually we do! I don't have to pay it now do I?"

Yun-Hee shook her head as she put a check by that club's name. She then scribbled on another sheet and showed it to the boy.

"Let's see. How much was it. Well Brittany used ..."

Yun-Hee listened to the boy and figured today was defiantly going to be a long night. Forty five minutes later, and mounds of booths later, Yun-Hee was at the last booth. The haunted house. As she flew she could see a young couple running away and wondered how scary had Izzy made this? When she landed Izzy began what sounded like a pre-planned speech.

"Welcome. Does a fancy fairy like yourself dare to challenge your light with the darkness that is the house. Beware it is --"

Yun-Hee cut off the girl and held up the sheet of paper that was used up all night. Izzy read it and called over another fencer.

"Hey Greg, how much did we have left over?"

      "'Bout a hundred. Why?"

      "We gotta give it back."

      "Now?"

Yun-Hee shook her head as she put the last check on the sheet. She took off flying back towards the gym. She needed a drink and surely Nathan was gone by now with some young and hot date. Yun-Hee felt her face grow warm and she could see her body was glowing a golden color. Crap! she thought as she tried to focus like Aaron taught her. She had to always be in control of her powers. Usually it was easy, so why was it hard to now? Why did Nathan always wind her up, whether good or bad? She landed and walked into the gym staying the walls and making it past the growing crowd. When she made it back to the punch bowl she realized how parched she was. She grabbed a cup happily and began to quench her throat.

Was it possible that Izzy could be pissed and yet so happy at once? Izzy watched as the second year couple grinned and entered the haunted house. Izzy smirked and tapped her scythe against the ground. She was happy because her haunted house worked out so nicely, but upset at what had happened earlier with Dusk. Geez Paris wouldn't tell her a God damn thing. Only one warning, which Izzy planned to stick to, because well, she didn't want to die. Thinking of the past made her mind jog back to the day that Dusk mourns. Jesper being thrown out a window. Izzy was sure he would be dead, but she guessed he still had enough luck to live. Once he was healed Izzy wanted to ask him what happened, and possibly tease him with just some mild pains, but after the news of Julian being the cause, and suddenly in the infirmary, well Izzy didn't want that to happen. She was specifically ordered to never give Jesper any pains. It sucked, but also a relief. She loved pain, not hers of course, and not from people that were on good terms with her. Plus, Jesper had it hard. Izzy was also surprised at Julian. She never that he was capable of that. To be frank, Izzy was jealous, she could always give a person that pain, but actually physically do it was beyond her. What she was something fake, not real. Granted if she could do that kind of damage, she wouldn't do it on Jesper or anyone in Dusk, but she wouldn't mind doing it to several people outside. One of them was Ivy, and the best part is that she was in Dawn.

The girl caught her one day pouring salt on a stupid slug and the girl got sensitive and snapped at Izzy. Izzy was one second from going all out on that girl when Jr. came with detentions. Izzy placed a hand on her face and slid it down. Detentions were horrible. Jr. always managed to just pop up and Izzy had always managed to be something wrong at the time. Like that one time that Izzy and Parker were taking shots in their dorm and Izzy had one too many that she went to her window and leaned our giving a drunk and incoherent speech. Jr. was pissed and gave detentions. Izzy was just happy that she got paired with one of the coolest females, besides herself. Even if Parker couldn't get drunk, and sometimes they played pranks on each other, they still got along surprisingly well. It also helped that they were both in Dusk, so there was nothing to hide. Thinking of all the silly things they do together made her snort out loud. She laughed even harder when she could hear the screams coming from inside the house. Somehow her mood lightened up again. Taking out her cell phone Izzy looked at her phone and raised an eyebrow at the time. Where the ******** was Matt? He was supposed to be meeting her here. Did she not tell him to meet her there yesterday? She sighed as she remembered yesterday. Yesterday was her birthday. What a shitty day that was.

Barely anyone cared and practically no one wished her a happy birthday, but maybe that's because she makes it her life to give hell to people. Some people remember, like Parker, and some of Dusk. Edward was included, sorta. Izzy asked him first to be her emo side kick, but as soon as she said emo he left. Then Matt stuttered a happy birthday to her, so instead of asking him she made him. She told him to meet her at the fencing haunted house and then he was really going to live. Izzy planned to do bad a** s**t tonight. Izzy tapped her scythe again and looked at her reflection in the scythe. Tonight she was Death, aka The Grim Reaper, revamped, and she looked good. She straightened her hood to make sure it looked like her eyes were covered. Finally the couple came out shaking and sweaty. Izzy ran behind them and tapped her scythe.

"I think you left your kidney back there. Might as well take your soul as well."

Izzy brought down her scythe in between the couple and watched them run away from the house as fast as they could.

                                                "Bwahahaha!"

The scythe was harmless, but the way that Izzy used it made it look so real. She walked back to the entrance and waited for the next victim. She raised an eyebrow as she notice a bright figure coming towards her. It was Yun-Hee. Izzy disliked the girl for many reasons. Even if she couldn't talk she was annoying as hell. Pretty little princess fairy. Izzy gave a spooky grin as she greeted Yun-Hee.

"Welcome. Does a fancy fairy like yourself dare to challenge your light with the darkness that is the house. Beware it is --"

Izzy was cut off as a tired Yun-Hee flipped the clipboard she held to a sign that read 'any money left over?'. To be honest the fencing team did have some extra money. Izzy nodded. Yun-Hee took another sheet out that read 'how much?' Izzy called over one of the fencers, Greg over.

"Hey Greg, how much did we have left over?"

                                                "'Bout a hundred. Why?"

                                                "We gotta give it back."

                                                "Now?"

Yun-Hee shook her head as she scribbled on her clipboard. When she finished she watched Yun-Hee take off again. Izzy wondered why she looked so upset. Then again, it's not like you can ask a mute that. Izzy looked at the dipping sun as her black cloak moved with the breeze.

Ok...So where the ******** was Matt? Izzy felt her face grow red from anger underneath her hooded cloak. She was so focused on Matt that when a cocky fifth year student came she just grumbled at him. She was defiantly not going to stay here all night. Grinding her teeth she tapped the ground with her scythe impatiently. Leave it to Matt to be dancing off with dancing bears or something. He probably did forget, and Izzy didn't have his cell phone number. Izzy knew she should have just made Edward come. At least Edward wouldn't have been late. He would have bitched the whole time, but he wouldn't dare be late. Izzy continued to tap her scythe when she noticed another person coming. A girl. The girl was even taller than her, and much better looking. It didn't take a genius either to see that those boobs were bigger than even Parker's. For some reason it made Izzy pissed. Girls with big boobs tend to be trouble, because they seem to think they can get whatever the hell they want just because of the things hanging off their chest. Well, except for Parker. She was cool. She didn't act like a complete whore with hers. Perhaps that's why Izzy enjoyed her company so much more than anyone else's. As the girl nervously approached Izzy lazily began to say her speech.

"Welcome, welcome to your worst nightmare. I guarantee that your pretty little dress will fall off from this house, and at the end I'll t-"

Izzy stopped as she looked at the female. Something was odd about this one.

                                                "D-d-d-don't make fuf-ufun of me, Iz-Izzy,"

How did this girl know Izzy? Izzy had surely never seen her before. And what was with that stutter? It almost sounded like-- No. Izzy's eyes widened as she scanned the girl over.

                                                SMACK!

The girl's eyeball just fell out of her head and onto the floor. Or should she say, Matt's eyeball. Izzy leaned against her scythe for support. What the hell just happened? She swore that Matt was a guy right? Was this some sort of a joke for a costume? Well if girls can dress like guys, why not vice versa? Regardless, it was still freaking weird!

"M-matt? H-how did this- this happen?"

Izzy had to look down as her hands lifted the hood off her face. She needed to make sure this was real. Izzy lifted up her head again and felt her face flush red as she looked at Matt. This was a ******** disaster. Why the hell did he make himself a chick? What's more, is that he made himself an attractive chick. Great. Just ******** great. Now she was going to go "take souls" with Mr. Drop dead gorgeous, wait no, Miss Drop dead gorgeous. No one was going to take her seriously. Was it too late to call for Edward? It was then that she noticed another girl, and a much more familiar one at that. It was Erin, from her team. Izzy had gotten somewhat close to the girl. If it wasn't for fencing, then they probably wouldn't know each other so well. Izzy was always impressed with her from fencing. With herself excluded, Erin did outshine most of the team. She always seem so damn shy, but Izzy knew that when it came to fencing she was a force to be reckon with.

Ahh, Izzy… I was wondering if I was needed for anything, or not. No big deal if I’m not, but I just wanted to check and make sure and all…

Izzy blinked a little as she looked at Erin. At least she was devoted. The team that was doing their shift with the haunted house had to be forced to be there. Izzy scratched her head and spoke to the Queen of Spades.

"Well Erin, I had Gary back there with a couple of others running the house, till I think 7:30. I don't think they need help, but I plan to leave in a second, so if you want to you can 'welcome' the guests into the house, although it's not really needed. You can have a free night, since you're the only one who actually wanted to help."

By this point Gary couldn't help but pipe in.

"Why does Erin get to leave?"

"Shut it Gary! And stop complaining the other fencers should be here soon with their shift, and last I checked I had to drag your sorry a** here."

A vein could be felt popping as Izzy glared at Gary. She then turned back to Erin and Matt spoke to them with a grin.

"It's whatever you like Erin. Although if you do choose to stay here for awhile, make sure Gary doesn't sneak off, and remember, you must always greet them with a threat. Now come on Matt, you're going to explain everything to me. Bye Erin! Have fun tonight!"

Izzy gave a wink to Erin and then grabbed Matt's hand as she began to drag him through the sport's field.

"So tell me exactly, because I'm oh so curious ... How the ******** hell did you wind up with boobs?!"

            "Ssssh! You'll wake him Ann!"

"Well we should! Besides taking his gloves as a prank is just mean."

"Oh come on Ann, did you see the way he looked at us? This is guy is nothing but a bum. I mean, Christ, he actually works here for a living!"

            "Well so do you Joey!"

"Hey, listen, there's a difference between a school job, and a career job!"

"That makes no sense! A job is a job."

"Just shut up! I almost got it...There. Come on, let's go stash it one of the pin machines!"

The teenagers apparently finished their work a long time ago, and Tobias was still safe asleep snoring. He was already past many stages of sleep, and was fully in a deep slumber. He should have stayed awake, because then he would have told them to back off his gloves. Now they were gone and his hands lay limp off the side of the bench. There was surely going to be trouble as soon as he woke up. For now he was safe because he hands just hung in the air. Meanwhile outside one of Tobias's co-workers was finishing a quick smoke. His name was Julian, and although he was often late to work too, at least he worked hard for his family. He would often help Tobias out when he needed it. The man outside dropped what remained of his cig and stepped on it putting the fumes away. When Julian entered the bowling alley he noticed a couple of teenagers running away with something in their hands. They were wearing the uniforms, so Julian knew they must have been the rookies. Tobias was supposed to be looking after them, so when Julian didn't see him he knew he was sleeping away somewhere. Julian just followed the snores and found a slumped over Tobias sound asleep as a baby. Julian smirked as he gave a light smack on the side of his face.

            Tobias suddenly jerked up.

            "Hm. I'm awake I'm awake!"

"Good, because the rookies just ran off with something."

"Oh. They're nothing to worry about. I sent them to -- Where's my gloves? ********. Those little shits are going to get it!"

Julian laughed as he watched Tobias get up, ball his fists, and began to run towards the rookies. When Tobias got to them he felt his temper rise.

"What the hell happened to clean the place up?"

One of the girls spoke nervously to him.

"We did. We finished awhile ago, but you were asleep. Then, then Joey took your gloves and he's back there hiding it in that pin machine."

            "Thanks."

Tobias began to run on the alley and squatted when he reached the pin station. Through the small opening he came face to face with the p***k who took his gloves. The kid seemed to freeze.

"Give me my gloves back, and get the hell out of there."

The boy began to come out as he stammered something.

            "I can't g-get your gloves outttt... Th-the machine! It's got them jammed!"

Rolling his eyes Tobias got on his back and began to slid in the opening as he looked for his gloves. As soon as the kid was out he began to run back to the group of rookies. There! Tobias could see his gloves. If he could just-

            SNAP!

His gloves did come out but the wire that Tobias was holding snapped as he watched it began to turn a murky color and watched slowly crumble and turn into dust. No one saw this but him, but even so it was worrisome. He came out of the pit and looked at his gloves. They were ruined and ripped. He got up holding them in his hands as he kept his eyes focused on the twerp who did this. He was really beginning to hate this guy, but he noticed that the kid somehow got cockier when he was with his friends because he was grinning like a real p***k.

"You think this is funny? You owe me a new pair of gloves."

            "I don't owe you s**t."

"Oh, so now you're Mr. Tough guy. See back there you were stuttering like a spaz."

"Whatever, you're just a lying bum."

            "Listen here you little ********]"

"What the hell is going on?"

Tobias slowly looked over to see Abe come out of his office with his hands on his short plump hips. Julian looked over and tried to speak.

"Well, sir, the rookies were giving Tobias trouble, and see--"

"Forget it. I don't want to know. You, Joey, come here. Get in my office. And you, Tobias, wait outside and try to cool yourself down."

With a frown, Tobias stomped out of the place and waited outside. The cold air did chill him, but his anger was still there. What was it with teenagers these days? That little p***k wouldn't have thought he was so cool if Tobias got his hands on him and told him he was a metahuman. Eager to get his anger out he kicked at a trash can. When it didn't fall over Tobias recklessly slapped his hand on it and watched it not only fall over but slowly rust and decay. It only took a matter of moments with the can turned into a sick gray dust and lay over the contents of the trash can's inners. Tobias really shouldn't have done that.

Izzy was beyond furious. She completely ignored Matt when he said something about popping his foot. Oh she would pop his foot if that's what he wanted. She'd pop it till it broke. Finally when Izzy found an empty spot she let go of Matt and basically threw him on the grass in the sports field as she sat next to him. Izzy kept her grip on her scythe though because she totally planned to use it on Matt if his excuse was a lame one. When she looked over she could see a slight glare in his eyes. Did he seriously just play that game with her? Oh ******** no. Not with Izzy. You don't ******** glare at Izzy and get away with it. She scowled back at his her fists began to grow red from gripping his scythe too hard.

                                                "Start explaining."

                                                "Hh-hhold o hooh-odl holdh ho-ho ho hold on!"

Izzy still had a frown on as Matt searched through his bag, purse thing, and tossed a journal at her. She fumbled with it and laid her scythe next to her on the grass. She flipped through some of the papers as Matt took a sniff of his drugs. The boy really did like writing in bright neon colors. It sort of burned Izzy's eyes.

                                                "Whwhwhwhehre were we?"

"We're sitting on the sports field, and I'm waiting for a certain she-male to start explaining why they have boobs the size of Mars."

                                                "Oh, mon Dieu...d-d-d-d-did m-mmy vo--vo-vovoice g-g-g-et hi-hi-higher!?"

Izzy slammed her left hand into her face and slowly dragged it down. This had to be some sort of joke. His voice did get higher. This was a disaster. If she walked around with this boy-girl she wouldn't be as nearly as scary, and God forbid she run into Edward. The little emo boy would call her some sort of lesbian. She made a face and whispered to herself.

                                                "Stupid fricking emo boy."

                                                "Oh---we--well...uh..uh...I was g-g--oin-going to g-g-o-go as a p-o-pi-pirate b-b-but uh I m-mmmmessed u-u-up. In-in-instead of b--boots I wrote b-b-booobs...I did-diddin't even k-kno-know this co-ccould ha-happen! Ugah."

Izzy gave a grim face. Of course. The boy could have easily miswrote something as simple as "boots" and write "boobs". Izzy couldn't quite get mad at Matt for this. It wasn't his fault really, he was a spaz. Still she could still scowl in anger. Well they would just have to fix it. Surely the boy could just write "no boobs" and it goes away. Right? Izzy decided to take a leap of faith. She looked at Matt who sung his back pack over like a purse. He seemed to be freaking out. Growling Izzy decided to slap it out of him.

                                                "W-wwhwhwhat dod-d-do we d-dododo, Iz-zz-izizyizzy!?"

                                                Slap, slap, slap.

"Get a hold of yourself man! It'll be fine! I mean -- argh! Just let me think!"

                                                "I d--d-d-don't wnwant to be stu--stusu-stuck like thi-hthis all nn-nnight! Whwhw-w-hwat what if I canc'acan't chchcachange back and I'm stustuck! Nobody will ta-take me s-s-s-eseiourseriously an-anymore!"

Izzy shut her eyes trying to think of the right thing to write to make his predicament go away. But it was so damn hard when his high pitched voice interrupted her thoughts.

"Don't worry about it. Just let me handle this. You will change back, I'll make sure of that. And don't worry, you no one ever did. As soon as we change you back though, after tonight you will be. I promise. No please shut up and let me think!"

She took her hands on his shoulders and shook him a little to get him to calm down. Somehow one of her hands ended up with his again. She didn't even notice though.

                                                "And...I dododn't think I have enough T-t-t--es-t--e-testrogen tot even ththit things ou-ut! WHwhw-hat if they g-g-g-et bi-bib-bigger!?"

Izzy was murmuring to herself trying to get the right words when she cut off looking at him in horror.

"Say what?! They can do that?! But-but these aren't even real! They're fake! No no! I mean. Argh! They won't!"

The poor began to speak in French again, a language that Izzy didn't know. She gave him another smack against his head with her free hand.

"Listen. Just keep your mouth shut. Now, whatever you write comes to life basically right? So could you just write a statement? Like Matt is a boy and does not have girl boobs. Right?"

Her green eyes looked deeply into his eagerly hoping this would work. Her blue hair blew in the light wind with his red hair. Blue and Red. How odd.

When Yun-Hee finally quenched her throat she felt enomously better. When she finished her punch she walked over to the trash can to throw away her cup. Blowing out some air she leaned against the wall and looked at the ceiling through all the colored lights flashing everywhere. Yun-Hee was doing a good job of avoiding Nathan. At the same time though, it was killing her. It was what he wanted though. Grimly her lips thinned as she looked down at her clipboard. Yun-Hee never did actually know why he always brushed her off. Now that she decided to follow his wish, she had a clear mind to think about why exactly this was. Slowly like venom in her blood, ideas began to sprout up. Yun-Hee had to get out of the gym to think.

She exited the gym, and decided to head back to the girls dorms to put away her clipboard. Once she was outside she took to the air, but her face was distant. Her wings kept her at a steady flight. She wanted to feel the breeze of the sinking sun. When she made it to the dorms her milky white hands opened the door for her preoccupied body. All those ideas were beginning to be too much for her. As she rode the elevator she felt grateful that she roomed with the president of Student Government. That way she could trust leaving the clipboard in her room. Yun-Hee was pleased that she had Lily as her roommate. Both girls were very recluse into their own things, and since Yun-Hee couldn't talk it was perfect for Lily. There was only one word needed for their room. Quiet.

Yun-Hee's thoughts brought her all the way to her room. Once inside she placed her clipboard on her fixed and made bed. She turned around to stare back at herself. Her fingers traced her reflection as she starred back at herself. Not much of a costume at all. It wasn't even scary. Frowning she decided that she wanted to go for a walk. She would keep close to the edge of the forest though. That way she wouldn't look some creeper running around campus. The venom ideas she had earlier were brooding all over her head as she exited the girls dorm. Once outside she walked to the forest and began her walk.

She started her walk from behind the girls cafe. Her arms wrapped around her elbows as she could finally ponder her venomous thoughts. Her first theory about why Nathan was ignoring her was probably the worst. In her mind she pictured it as him avoiding her because of her speech impediment. That's the main reason why people avoided her. It never was about her personality, but the frustration of communicating. Not everyone knew sign language, so Yun-Hee didn't even bother to learn it. It was just too hard to communicate with her. That's why she had all her hand gestures and movements. It was like she was playing Charades for her life. Perhaps Nathan was tired of trying to understand her, which is why he decided to slowly distance himself from her.

Yun-Hee put a hand to her throat as a faint thought of herself talking. As she passed the back of the Arboretum she opened her mouth as if to dare and say something. Quickly she shut it though. She was not yet ready to talk. After the facility she didn't want to talk again. She was afraid of speaking too much and talking about how she was not born, but made as a clone in a facility. She also didn't want others knowing that she wasn't a born mutant. She was created. They engineered her to have her wings and absorb energy. The worst part was the two deaths at the facility. It was no explosion, it was Yun-Hee.

They were going to wipe her memories and start experimenting with her again. She didn't want that, and since the facility she swore she wouldn't speak again. Another idea was that he just got bored with her. He was Mr. Popular. Girls lined up to see him from all ages, and every day. They all wanted to be with him, and guys admired him. Should he care if one person just slipped away? Not really. It was just Yun-Hee and there would always be another girl to fill her spot. It wasn't like she was interesting or could keep up a conversation, so she could see him getting bored with her. She was now passing the main fountain.

Yun-Hee could understand if he just didn't want to be with her anymore. Nor could she blame him. Then she wondered if he just had little time. If that was the case, then it was Yun-Hee's fault not his. She could have been more assertive and push her way to him like the others, but she just couldn't. He was always busy and yet everyone still bothered him. She didn't want to be a burden to him. He had enough on his plate, so she solved the problem by backing away and letting him be. As her reward for doing this, he began to exclude her the same way. Then the last reason was that he truly thought this was better for her. She always wondered how on earth could this be better? It almost made her worry.

What if something was wrong with Nathan? What if he was in trouble? Yun-Hee tried not to think of that. She couldn't bare it if he was in trouble. It was then as she passed the boys fountain that she felt a sudden pride of being in Dawn. The only trouble she could think of was Dusk. If he was in trouble or worried about being the next victim of Dusk, well she could help protect him. Now, she felt like she had her own personal mission to work harder in Dawn and help bring down Dusk. This was wrong to hurt people that were exactly the same as you. She nodded her head as she passed the boys cafe. She was going to work harder with Aaron and harness her powers to the fullest to bring down Dusk.

She wanted to make it safe for Nathan, and everyone else. Her spirits softened again as she made it to the back of the boy's dorms. Either situation, he wanted to be away from her. Thus, she would respect his wishes. She would avoid him. Yun-Hee would let him go. He wanted to be away from her and brushed her away so easily, that she had no choice but respect his wishes. More than anything she wanted him to be happy. If she only brought him down, then she could easily erase herself from his side. Yun-Hee loved to smile with him, but she would sacrifice that if it meant him to smile easier. Of course her little sacrifice was hurting her, but she knew she would be ok with this.

As she approached the side of the dance and theater studio she could feel the pain swelling. All those short sentences, avoidings, lack of glances, and just the ignorance in general was causing her pain. Yun-Hee did have feelings too. Somehow from the past five years, she grew attached to him. She shook her head as she rounded the corner. Why did she feel so hurt about this? Yes they were friends, but he was already ignoring her for half a year, so shouldn't she already be adjusted to life without him? Blinking she knew the reason why it was hurting her. It was because he saw past her speech barrier. He talked to her, and was patient enough as she tried to talk back with her hands. It was all the great times they had.

It was also those small petty dates they had. It wasn't even that many, and not that meaningful to him. To her it was, because he was the first one to ask her. Now she had one maybe two people ask her out, but she said no. She turned down another one earlier, so technically it was three. The point in fact is that her feelings had defiantly changed. As she passed the end of the dance and theater she knew that deep down her feelings for him had grown. She stopped as she looked up at the Planetarium. Perhaps she could enter it for a few moments. Then she would probably go to booths and see if she could try her luck at one of the games. Then afterwards she would go back to the gym and probably get some food.

A candied apple sounded delicious right about now. Yun-Hee entered the back of the Planetarium. Once inside she could see that someone had forgotten to put the switch to off. All the fake stars were glowing on the ceiling. Yun-Hee decided it would be ok if she just left it on. In the dim light she decided to radiate some glow from her body. Under the small glowing stars, her body matched their silver color. She took slow hesitant steps to the center of the building until she was in the center. There she proceeded to look up at the center star and smiled at it. Her small bitterness to Nathan had now grown into love. She wasn't sure if she was in love, or just had love as a friend for him, but either way she had love for him.

Closing her eyes she gave a smile to the ceiling as she felt in peace now that she knew how she felt. Her teeth were revealed with pure happiness. It didn't matter if Nathan didn't want anything to do with her anymore, and she wasn't upset about silently agreeing to his wishes. Her conscious was cleared and she was happy with it. Lifting her arms up to her side she began to slowly spin around in circles. Her walk had helped her, and now she would enjoy her night. Her feet slowly lifted off the ground as her wings gently took her off the ground. Her "fairy dust" trailed off her body and floated to the ground as her wings spiraled her up. She should probably go soon, but right now she was too darn happy. She would continue to avoid Nathan in hopes for his happiness. The love she had for him made her able to cope with this, so she was free.

𝖈𝖍𝖆𝖗𝖆𝖈𝖙𝖊𝖗

« | Mama Named Me: Fernanda Ulla Herman because somehow she knew I would be daring and adventurous in my life. Ulla was from my father; who hoped I would be willful in my life and do everything I do with no regrets. Even my last name means warrior. I suppose that battling with fire everyday does make me a willful and daring warrior.
« | But You May Call Me: I personally don't see Fernanda as a hard name ... Fernanda, Fernanda, Fernanda...ok maybe it is hard. Well let's see how to make it easier. Not Fern, that is a plant yes? Anda... that still sounds too hard. Oh Andy! I see why people call me that now. They take out the a and add a y. I like this name, so you may all call me Andy.
« | Years I've Been Alive: You know it really doesn't feel like it has been Twenty One years yet. On the contrary, instead of feeling young and innocent, I feel much older and much more daring. I wonder why, but so long as I'm young I might as well use my youthfulness to the best of my abilities.
« | And What I'm Packing: I know my short hair and sorry excuse of breasts make you look twice, but I assure you I am a female. I mean, just look at my face. It's not necessarily boy material is it? If you want more proof, stare at my legs. These are defiantly the legs of a woman. Still not satisfied? Well then you may need to come with me and see for yourself.
« | We Hail From: Can you not guess from my charming looks and my accent? I come from Germany, and certainly don't hide it. Sometimes I slur my words, but after being here at the circus, my accent is slowly fading away. At least my dark hair and dark eyes will never fade; that is until I'm older.
« | You Make Me Kinky: For me it was always the men that grabbed my attention. Thus making me straight. Forgive me, because it is not that I don't like women, I just prefer them as friends is all. I am not insensitive though. I understand that everyone is different and everyone can find love in anyone, and I accept this whole heartily, even if I don't practice it.

« | My DNA Composed:It's just a little fun

Andy may not have the most female of hair styles or the biggest chest, but her other features make up for that. Her hair is jet black and was trimmed short by her own self from when she was trying to get voyage on the ship from her past life. When it was over, Andy just enjoyed her hair at that length that she kept it that way. Her skin color is a pale white, but she wishes that she could tan even just a little, but all she does is burn. The eyes she bares are a hazel color, so sometimes they are brown, and sometimes they are green. It depends on the lighting. Her upper arms are well toned but only because of the work she did when she was living on the boat. Now they only work to toss whatever it is she is juggling. Whatever fine slenderness her hands once had, are now filled with a rough texture and some mild burns. Her torso is long and slim, but she never focuses on that. She eats plenty and then works it into muscle. If one to look at her legs though they would find that she certainly is no male. What she lacks at her hips and back side, she makes up for her well shaped and muscular legs. Andy isn't one for skirts and dresses, but she will wear shorts, and that defiantly has some heads rolling. Speaking of her uniform, it is pretty relaxed. When she's performing she usually wears a black vest with a white collar shirt underneath and a loose tie. For her legs she wears black tights with knee high boots. They aren't the kind of boots with the thin heel, but with a short thick heel, so that she can move easier.

When she's not performing and it's the circus down-time, she wears something close to what she wears when she's performing, except that the vest is now a jacket and rolls up the sleeve. As said before she likes to wear shorts; especially when the temperature is hot. When it's cold she'll roll the sleeves down and exchange the shorts for some comfortable pants. When she's on her down time she usually exchanges the boots for black heels. It makes her taller, but thankfully not as tall as several other women. About her height, she is at a nice even Five feet and Eight inches. Her weight is at One Thirty Three. It's an ideal weight, but Andy doesn't really care. She's happy so long as she still has her strength. As for scars, well she has some, but those are just petty ones from when she was on the boat. Now it's more of burns. She's skilled at what she does, but no one gets skilled without breaking some eggs. Most of her burns have gone away, but sometimes on her hands or arms you may fine faint outlines from a previous scorch.

« | Who's Got Attitude: To some people being bad just comes easier, but for Andy it's the opposite. Sort of. She doesn't try to bring people down, but she also doesn't try to act like a saint. She is generally a happy person, and always thinks positive. One could call say she is in the middle of the spectrum. To put it simply, she is content. Andy loves being at the circus, and finds her job an adventure. Not to mention all the traveling she's done. She knows that her parents wouldn't quite approve, but that's ok because Andy is happy, and that's all she needs. One could say she is bold and daring. On the boat she was always the life of the ship as she did everything with a smirk and a can-do attitude. There was once an incident where a person fell over board during a storm and she purposely jumped off deck to save him. Thankfully both did make it back on board. Now her adventures are entertaining people by breathing fire and juggling things, and sometimes she combines them. It's always a thrill for her to be dealing with something so dangerous. As for dealing with people, well they always find her warming. Andy is widely accepting of all people, and doesn't judge on appearances. She's had a first class experience on that subject when she was on the boat. Now that she's at the circus she is willing to make friends with any provided that they are good people. It does bother her though about the amount of jealousy that goes on between the other performers.

Andy was never into the rank system. So long as she still kept her job, then she was fine. Not to say she wouldn't mind learning how to do other things, just that she isn't obsessed with taking over someone else's job. For the ones that do think like that, she does her best to avoid them. Andy is also very loyal, and once you gain her trust she always has your back. With such an extroverted person it's no wonder that she is also very independent and the type of person who speaks her thoughts. One never wants to enter a quarrel with Andy, because she will give you a mouthful and an earful. As for wits, well Andy is quick, but only when it comes to the real life. One could say that she has street smarts. Now if you put her in front of some Algebra or Geometery, well she struggles. She quit school so she only got so far with her learning. She also isn't the best advice giver. Andy does try her best, but all her advice is basically go out there and show them what you're made of. On the contrary she is a good listener. She isn't childish, but she is fun. When she does happen to get drunk; she ends up being the happy drunk. She'll sing well into the night and give a salute as she promptly passes out. In the morning she'll usually laugh about it.

« | Where I've Been: The marriage of Fernanda's parents was an arranged one, but even still they grew to love each other. They married so that Fernanda's mother's family would be able to keep their house from the dowry she would be given. Her mother was only eighteen at the time and her father was twenty two. It was an awkward marriage but Fernanda's parents were able to live with it and worked it out until they really did love each other. Three years later at Fernanda's current age, her mother gave birth to her. In their gut they just knew that Fernanda was going to live up to her name. They had planned it all from her birth. She was going to be feisty but formal and most importantly intelligent. They already had her engaged when she was barely two to the five year old son of a wealthy landowner. They tried to push the two together more when Fernanda finally reached the age of five, but somehow it just never worked. Fernanda was not acting the way she should, which was a true and proper lady. Not to mention that the boy Fernanda was to marry was a complete jerk. As they grew older he would always tease her and pull her hair and lock her in random rooms. She hated it and she hated him. She didn't know that she was to marry him until her sixteenth birthday. Although the real wedding wouldn't start till she was eighteen. When Fernanda found out she was absolutely outraged. How could they marry her off to anyone, let along that stupid pig? Fernanda tried everything to get them to reconsider. She even offered for them to have another child and wed that one to the stupid landowner's son. Unfortunately after giving birth to Fernanda, her mother was told that she was unable to bare children unless she were to commit suicide. Fernanda came to the conclusion that she had to run away. Her first try was a failure though. When she made it to the dock the sailors refused to have her on because of some myth that women on a boat would bring about bad luck. Then one of them tried to rape her until the cops passed by and took her back to her shame ridden parents. They did all they could to keep Fernanda from running away. It didn't take long for Fernanda to come up with a new plan.

In her room with a dim mirror and candle she cut her hair in the middle of the night. Finally she made it short enough to look like a guy's. Then she simply burnt away the evidence of her hair. Early the next morning she went to the laundry room and took one of her servant's clothes. A male servant. By the time her parents woke and read the note Fernanda was already at the harbor being hired as help for a boat coming to America. When they asked for her name she told them Anda, but the man mistook it for Andy. For the next long year she stayed on the boat. It was hard at first, but eventually she got into the routine. Her arms and legs grew muscular and she became handy with her hands. She could fish and swim and tie ropes. Now she could climb and jump and not be afraid. Her time on the boat made her stronger. Everyone seemed to like her and her boldness. When they first came to America they stopped at several places along the coast. There Andy met many people. The sailors would often go into the closest pub and play card games until the boat left. After being on a boat for so long Andy was willing to get off and get a drink. Her first experience though ended in a bar fight when the bar tender tried to get her to pay more than what she ordered. After that her fellow sailors taught her how to fight. The next town they came to was much more pleasant. There were many street performers, and one of them was a juggler. Andy spent the whole time with him trying to learn how to do it. When she was back on the boat all the other sailors laughed at her as she tried countless times to juggle potatoes. The man had said that first she must juggle potatoes because it will teach her not to drop what she is juggling, and then eggs, because it will teach her to be fast and accurate. By the time she got to the next town she was able to start juggling with eggs. Somehow each town they visited was more lively than the last. Then she reached the town where she would be taught how to breathe fire like the dragons.

The man she met was her master basically. He saw potential in Andy and taught her how to become partners with fire. This was much trickier than juggling and couldn't be helped with just one night. He asked for passage on the boat that Andy was sailing on. There on the boat her taught her every night on how to breathe fire. All the sailors looked forward to watching because they got a kick whenever Andy burned herself, which she did many times. Eventually though she got the hand of it, and even when she did get burned she never backed away in fear. She always brushed it off and tried it again. By the time they reached the end of Florida her master had to leave her, but he had faith that she would go far one day. Andy was very sad to see her friend go, but what awaited in Mississippi brought her hopes back up. The next harbor they stopped at held a circus, and all the sailors decided to go and see if they could flirt a little with the female performers. Andy however was mystified by the magic of the circus. She went nuts when the juggler came out and began to juggle with items on fire and then breathe fire. Andy wanted to do that so badly. Back on the boat she practiced relentlessly until she was able to do just that.

The next city was Andy's last stop. The Big Easy. She heard that a new circus was in town by the name of Cirque de Meurtre. It was new and looking for performers. Andy knew she could either take her chance now or stay on the boat, and she decided to try her luck on the circus. She left all her sailors in style by kissing each one of her dear friends on the cheek and then announcing as the boat sailed off that she was indeed a woman. It was heartwarming to see their jaws drop and then whistle good bye at her. Andy was a bit intimidated by Maksima, but somehow she saw potential in her just as her previous master did. Andy always choose to call her Madam though, and not because she couldn't pronounce her name, or because of her age, but because of the figure she held as she took charge and lead everyone. Andy found it simply admiring.

« | Employee This, Employee That: Of course Madam put me as the Fire breather and juggler. I mean I didn't practice all those hours on the boat for nothing.
« | I'm Hanging On: Well I wasn't one of the originals, but I did come pretty early. I started when I was 17 turning 18, so it's been over three years. I would say Three years and a half.
« | Close to My Heart:

Ana
Where to begin? Well she was there from the start so I was the newcomer to her.
I met her back when she was still at the Big Top, but now she's in charge of the
Freak Show, and I'm quite proud of her. I also enjoy her, because she acts like the
older sister I wish I had, and I'm not even placed in her show. I could go on about
the qualities I admire about her, but I won't to save time.

Anastasia
She came around the same time I did, and from the start I knew she had a
negative feeling about women, but after drinking together one night, she and I
became close. Both our jobs were still essentially the same. Dealing with death. To
me she's one of my good friends and always someone to talk to, and we still end up
drinking together as well.

Annissa
It's not hard to tell that this girl is very self-centered, and it annoys me at how
jealous she can get when she's not the center of attention, but I feel that maybe
if she were to loosen up just a bit, she might be a pretty interesting person. I still
have a long way to go though before I can get there though.

Arya
I will admit I was not her biggest fan when she first came shortly after me, but I
don't want to judge too much until I know her better. So far I've come to realize
that she is a bit aggressive and outspoke, but that is a good thing right? She's no
angel, but I still think she is good.

Beau
My, oh my. This guy and me seem to hit it off pretty well. We're card buddies, and
no matter who wins or loses, we still end up having a drink in the end. He's always
trying to get me off the Rum, but I can't help it. It was all the sailors drank, but
that's not to say I wouldn't mind trying something different. Beau is also like my
little personal energy, or encouragement. I know that he always has my back.

Cassandra
This girl is truly entertainment 24/7. Not to mention her interesting skin color. Back
where I came from everyone was just a dull pale color, but her! Her skin is so tan
and lovely. I also hear that she is a fun drinker, and hopefully someday I can have
a drink with her. Then maybe she'll teach me one of her moves.

Darla
I've heard that she's a really good singer. I'd ask her to teach me, but I know my
voice is not the singing type, but I would still love to hear her. Beau gets to hear
her all the time and he says she's wonderful. I also like her because she seems to
be really cheerful and warm. I like those qualities in people.

Jace
I love his funny jokes and harmless teasing. It's also a good laugh to see him
chasing skirts. It's too bad we aren't that close of friends, but I bet that we
could have a lot of fun together if we were. I also like that he's very kind and
attentive. He seems to be the ears for most to come and chatter to for comfort.

Jo
Ah, the rookie. She's not been here long, but I have indeed seen her around.
I seem to think she is a good person, but something seems off. It's like her
personality changes around people, and I do not know why. I wonder if she
just wants someone to like her, or something else. In any case I would like to know
her more.

Katara
It's very hard for me to say something about her. On one hand I do like her cat-like
personality, and how fun and outgoing she is, but on the other hand she doesn't
really like Ana, which worries me. Ana really is like my big sister, and I don't like
anyone disrespecting her, but at the same time I just want to have a good time
and not get into drama. It's so confusing.

Kiran
I don't know her all that well because she likes to be alone, which I respect, but
at the same time I want to get to know her more. I want to go star gazing with
her because I saw many stars while I was on the boat, and the sailors told me
their names as well. Maybe one day I'll get to do that with her.

Madam
Fearless Leader! Hehe, ok that was a joke, but I do really appreciate her and
admire her. She is so strong and fierce that it makes me spine tingle. I am still
very grateful for her and her contract. I thought I wouldn't get the job, and then
I'd be in trouble. Madam saw potential in me, which was nice for a start. I didn't
even have to pretend to be a guy anymore.

Maddox
Very gentlemen like, but he too seems like a stiff. I get that he wants his own
space, but he could still be friendly as well, no? Maybe I could get to know him
better and loosen him up. Although, I don't think he would be a good drinking
buddy, because I hear he gets aggressive, and I am not a fan of those types
of drunks.

Malikai
He is very social, like myself. Except he is "tone-down", as they say. I like him
though. He doesn't act anything like Annissa, and I praise him for that. It would
be nice to just sit down and have a nice talk with him one day. I wouldn't even
mind whatever conversation it would be.

Mel
Every time I see this bundle of joy I just want to run up hug her. I don't mind the
fact that she has no arms; in fact I think it makes her unique. I know she probably
doesn't know me all that much, but I will defiantly make friends with her because
I adore her child like appearance, but more importantly how she up-shows
everyone with her knowledge. Perhaps she can teach me how to read.

Mercury
Another woman craving the men. I'm actually not surprised at all. She is very
beautiful. Her feathers are stunning. We don't fight, but then again we don't
communicate often. Hopefully I can change this. Although it does bother me with
all her gossip. I'd rather see people spreading their own news than others doing it
for them. Or maybe I'm afraid that she might spill my little secret.

Merrick
I love this guy! Well, actually I'm not in love with him, but I do love his wild
personality. He always makes me laugh. I can just tell that he and I will get along
very well. Not to mention all the things he could teach me. Maybe for once I could
actually do the teaching as well!

Nap
Y'know, this guy may be the only one I can say I like the least. His arrogance
upsets me and I hate his code of conduct. I don't mind if he treats women with
delicacy, but doing that because he feels they are below him and weaker just
winds me up. It was sexism I was avoiding in Germany, but it seems I still
managed to run into it. You can bet that I don't like crossing his path.

Nell
It would be nice to get to know her more, but it seems like she is always busy in
her tent having sex. I don't look down at her, but I don't really understand her.
I act like I know so much about it, but really I'm just a clueless. She seems cold,
but maybe if I got to know her better she might warm up.

Oliver
Somewhere in my chest I feel so much sympathy for Oliver. I don't pity him
because to pity someone is like scoffing at them. I feel sympathy. I know I don't
see him a lot, but I would like to. I want to get to know him better, and I want
to be his friend. Maybe one day I can touch him, but I probably won't feel much
because of my rough hands.

Oza
His optimistic side really gets to me y'know. I like how he seems to be that silver
lining, and I also like that he has a clear mind. By this I mean that he doesn't
get a big head from the show and likes to not flaunt his stuff. I know that he
doesn't know me all that well, just like many others, but I wouldn't mind talking
to him at least once.

Rina
At first when she blew in I was in awe at her beauty, but then as soon as she got
her Female Trapeze job she seemed to be only friendly with her co-workers. When
she was out of her little circle she seemed more distant and cold. To me she seems
like a self-focused person, and I am wondering now if I even want to try and get
to know her better.

Sebastian
I must admit out of everyone at the circus I am most curious about him the most. I
barely ever see him and he is the only one who never comes back to the tents
after closing time. I see him sometimes go into Ana's tent and I notice that he
wears a mask, and it makes me very curious. If there was anyone I wanted to
know more about it's him. Now if only I could just get near him.

Shane
It's very hard not to smile around him when he is playing on the grinder and while
Jak is dancing around. I just want to hug and hold that little monkey forever. As for
Shane, well I enjoy both his music and his personality. Like most others I don't
know him very well, but I will change that because his spirit really excites me. Not
to mention he might let me pet Jak.

Simza
She thinks I'm funny, and this makes me very happy. I know she's very lustful, but
it doesn't matter because she doesn't go around bragging it to the world, even if
the world already knows. It troubles me that she steals, but we all have our own
flaws. I cannot judge her on her habits, so I will not.

« | Not to be Forgotten: I speak fluently in German, and can read it too, even though I am a bit rusty now. I learned how to speak English from the sailors, but I can only read a little of it. I still practice writing the very little I know how to write. My deepest secret though is that I am still a virgin. I don't want people knowing, so I play it off like I've had sex before, but really I never have.

Natsuko could see the little runt was going to use her stupid scream again, and this time Natsuko was ready. She leaped into the air, already a high distance from her elf reflexes and then higher again from the fire propulsion. Once she was high enough she covered her ears as she could feel the vibrations from below her. By the time the gravitational forces started taking her down, the sound vibrations were over. Natsuko landed neatly again on the ground. When she landed Garrett came dashed over to her and spoke to her.

"Deal with the kitsune trying to ruin our fun for me, would you, dear?"

                                Natsuko nodded with a grin.

                                "With pleasure."

Natsuko then dashed the other direction towards the kistune girl. Easily she jumped over the kitsune girl who was focusing on trying to break Jiro's illusion. Fat chance. Jiro was trained extensively, just as they all have been. It didn't matter about their size, what mattered was that they were all powerful. This school that was set up was new and weak. DEAF was large and was operating at a much larger pace than the school. All the DEAF members were trained to be elite, so perhaps it was time they all stopped holding back. Natsuko landed behind the kitsune girl so easily it was boring.

"I’ll kill you, you DEAF scum!"

Natsuko gave a scowl as the stupid she-wolf decided to finally move. Perhaps Natsuko should have sent the ice shards from earlier at her heart and driven it in herself. That girl knew nothing of pain. Pain was music, and this nonsense of bringing it back was not going to be allowed by DEAF. She then watched as her teeth clenched at how Garrett was knocked over. Surely he would get up, but to make sure she had to perform a distraction as the Hideo boy starting calling upon flames. It was dangerous to mess with fires that you did not understand. Natsuko forcefully grabbed the kitsune girl from behind and placed and arm around her neck. With her other hand she created an ice dagger, and held it to the girl's throat. She then whispered in her ear.

"I don't very much like the fact that you're trying to unveil us. It's really pointless."

Then Natsuko spoke much loudly in hopes that the wolf-demon and the Hideo kid would let their attention from Garrett just for a moment so he could get back on his feet.

"I mean, look. Just open your eyes girl. None of these people are truly your friends. You say cover you, and they run, leaving you utterly defenseless. How cruel."

Natsuko pressed the dagger's point against the flesh of the kistune girl just enough to get some blood flowing. Perhaps that would make their flesh crawl.
