You and The Intern were taken away from your dig by the government for the purpose of being moved to another dig. You know that they asked for you because you're one of the most reknowned among your field. You weren't allowed to tell anyone of this dig and was given hush money by the government. Now you know something is up because islands aren't normally on your dig sites and by the company you and The Intern have met in the helicopter. To be honest you feel like this was a big mistake and feel horrible for bringing The Intern along with you.

You keep telling him to chill though. He thinks that something is up, but you don't seem to think so. Besides the money the government gave helped you pay your rent. Ok, so you don't exactly know what's at the island, but you know that your own govenment wouldn't send you and several others to their death. You've got a lot to learn about the real world. The Paleontologist asked you to come with him on this new dig, and you agreed happily. Thanks to this you can finally avoid that pyscho of an ex. Not to mention that The Solider: Sniper has been looking pretty good to you.

All you know is that this island was recently discovered and they found some plants that seem unknown, and they're paying you to go check it out. What you don't know is that actually you're there to make sure no one gets killed from some species of plant, because ever since the release of the animals, the ecosystem on the island has completely changed by now. You're way to psyched to notice all the soliders and their weapons of destruction.

You've been working for the government and flying their helicopters for many years now, so they trust you fully. They even gave you a bonus for this job, but that doesn't change the fact that you are nervous and trying not to screw this up. What's worse is that driving Team B is your rookie flyer The Co-Pilot. You're hoping he also doesn't mess this up for you. Sadly enough, both of you mess up, and to make it worse, you're the one who landed into the ocean. At least The Co-Pilot landed in the jungle, which is much closer to the destination.

You managed to get everyone thinking you're 23, but really you're 17. It feels good to win the bet you have with your friend, but now after realizing what's waiting on the island you don't feel so smart anymore. You and here do have to work hand and hand. Now, you should be spooked or conceared like your two other co-workers, but somehow you don't really believe that these creatures, dinosaurs, or whatever really came back; just some old nut-job who's gone loco. "Adaline, don't worry about it. I'm sure someone in this building has the power to fix your table so it's good as new in no time at all. If I'm wrong I'm sure Marius can get you a new one. That's what headmasters are for."

Adaline pouted a little and nodded. Yah. Someone could fix it, or Marius could get a new one. She would just have to plead with him a little bit. Marius was a good Headmaster, even if a little weird, so she knew it would safely return to her. Then maybe she wouldn't have to cancel that poor boy's dance. She felt bad for yelling, but she loved her library.

                                                      "se sentant mieux ?"

"Améliorez oui tellement les mercis à vous!"

Adaline grinned at Quinn. It was nice speaking French with her. It was like their own secret language. It was a good thing her father and mother taught her French when she was little. It was probably childish, but it was the only way that they could speak to each other and have no one else know what they were saying. Unless that is they spoke French. Then that wouldn't be so cool.

"You bet Marius is making me chaperone. I'm not quite sure what to make of it. BUT! My day has definitely been less than perfect."

Adaline made a tutting noise in sympathy as she listened to her friend's day. Another sip of coffee was called for.

"Do you remember that student I told you about? The failing one? He finally decided to come see me about his grades... augh it was awful. He wasn't even trying! He just said something about how his girlfriend didn't want to date a flunkie. Hey... do you think teachers can bring other teachers to Homecoming?"

Adaline nodded to the first question. Yup she remembered the kid from the last time they talked. In person though was hard to say. Adaline saw every student at least once because they all needed to check out a book sometime, but it was because of that she couldn't remember all their faces. Adaline listened very well and when Quinn spoke of teacher dates Adaline almost chocked. She had to grab a napkin to wipe her face. Her Quinn was growing up, and Adaline saw this as the perfect opportunity to play match maker. Hey if she couldn't get a guy, then why not help Quinn get one? She set the coffee on her desk and stood up from her chair. What were they waiting for?

"Quinn, today we're going on a mission to get you a date for Homecoming."

She winked as she started grabbing her coat that was draped across her chair.

"Si tout va bien sexy."

Once her coat was on she searched under her desk for the sign. Why did she always misplace it? Her fingers worked around the wood until she found her sign. She picked it up and placed the closed sign on it. It was usually only used for dances, and late at night during school days, but today was an emergency. Besides the library was still open. Just not the check outs. As for returning, well there was a drop box. When Quinn was ready she took her hand like a giddy school girl, she took her out of the library. First Quinn needed a nice dress.

"You don't have a dress already do you?"

Adaline wasn't the richest person, and her pay was decent, but she still had money saved over for things. Most of it was for new costumes, but why buy that when Quinn needed a slim and sexy dress to attract a male? Now she knew why she was so giddy. It was like for once she wasn't reading the romance novel, but instead writing it. Directing it. It felt so good.

Izzy did a double take at Matt when she heard him speak and found him already ordering.

"Je voudrais tous les petit gateaux, s'il vous plait."

Ugh, stupid French. Maybe Victoria was right about learning another language, and maybe Izzy shouldn't have been so lazy. She was a bright girl, but she felt her talents were in causing people pain.

"Je voudrais tous les petit gateaux, s'il vous plait."

Izzy just noticed for the first time that Matt didn't stutter when he spoke French. Why the hell not? Maybe French people were disciplined not to stutter their own language. It was possible. Iceland was a brutish place and were known to some through their ice sports as vicious. Izzy grinned at the guy behind the counter. He must not know French either judging by his face. Score one for Matt; he was being a pester which was the first step in becoming her prodigy. Become a pester and then turn into a b***h, well a** hole in his case. Maybe Matt was finally taking a shine to her teachings. Izzy's smile turned into a frown when she heard the boy speak.

                                                      "T-tous?"

Wait? So if the boy knew French then his face had to be something from what Matt said. It was odd though, because when Matt speaks random s**t comes out that makes a person go "What the ********?" but his face was disbelief and sorta nervous. Izzy looked at the back of Matt's head in a strange way. What the hell was he saying!?

"Je ne vais pas me répéter, vous stupide homme. Hâtez-vous et recevez mes petits gâteaux. Avez-vous mangé tous entre eux, est-ce pourquoi vous êtes si gras? Qu'est-ce que je vous paye?"

Ok that's it! Izzy was going to the book store today and she was going to buy herself a French to English dictionary book. Was that guy crying? Izzy looked at Matt in shock, did he actually just make someone cry? Maybe this is what women feel like when they find out they're pregnant. The good pregnant that is. It was like Izzy had hope that soon her little first year would grow to be the tyrant that she harbored in him. It'd be some long grueling months, but she would anticipate the birth of Matt with glee. Yes, Izzy Cheshire just made a metaphor about giving birth to her Homecoming date, and it wasn't awkward at all in her head.

                                                      "Ex-excuse me M-mmiss Izzy. F-f-find a t-t-table, p-p-p-lease. I sh-shall re-return shshoshortly."

"Yes, yes. Go... oh they grow so fast."

She was talking to herself now because Matt had already left. Izzy felt a swell of pride in her. Soon he would be everything and more that she put into him. Grinning she took a seat at one of the empty tables that was suddenly becoming rare. Izzy was already thinking of all the bad a** things they would be doing together. Still she kept it professional in her head. Just because they were homecoming dates didn't mean he was going to get any action. No one would be getting any from Izzy, not willingly that is. The sad truth is that Izzy just doesn't love; instead she cares about making sure that everyone is as miserable as they can be and in as much pain as possible. Izzy only wanted Matt so much so she could train him to be her loyal side-kick. Maybe in the end she could convince him to take Dusk's side, but that would be much much later. After what Izzy was seeing of him re-entering her cafe she knew she had her work cut out for her. She frowned as everyone started laughing at how he forgot to zip his pants up. Now was the bad news of pregnancy. Izzy would have to harbor him for many months and basically take him under her wing. Izzy watched him come towards her with a solemn look and she just twitched her eyes and looked to the cupcakes that were coming. How many did he order exactly?

                                                      "H-a-ahahahhapapppy bibibirithbirthday to mememe~!"

Izzy rolled her eyes she picked up the nearest cupcake and starred at the icing. She was about it eat it when she noticed Matt looking at her strangely. She put the cupcake down and starred back at him.

"What? You don't expect me to give you some birthday kiss or some s**t, because if you do I'm probably just gunna kick your a** fifteen times instead."

                                                      "D-d-d-don't momomoove, Izzizzy!"

                                                      "Why? Is there someth-"

Suddenly a cupcake was smashed into her face. Red velvet cupcake to be exact, and it was good but it was also on her face and even with her eyes closed in shock she could feel the texture slide slowly down her face. You know how pregnant women get really sick from their children? Yeah well Izzy just got some of that sickness splattered on her face, and unlike other mothers, she was pissed. There are some things that you just don't do to Izzy Cheshire. One call her Elizabeth, put her in a frilly pink dress, and humiliate her in front of the school population. With her free hand she lifted it to her face and wiped her eyes clean and they were furious. Then she slapped Matt across the face in anger, and with a frosting smile she picked up the other cupcake and once Matt recovered from her slap she shoved her cupcake into his fight. To those who are unknowing to a food fight it starts when someone picks up some food and smashes it into someone's face, and then commences when someone retaliates to the original person, and usually they do it back and miss and hit someone else, and then it's unstoppable. Would Matt finish the trade off and start what could be the greatest food fight that Mythica had ever seen?

Why couldn't she stop shaking? Normally she wouldn't let her emotions get the better of her, but she was deeply afraid that something would go wrong. That she might still get hurt. Yun-Hee gave a weak smile to him as she watched him let go of the flowers and balloons. She somehow couldn't focus on that though. All she could focus on was his bright beaming face that made her melt inside. He came in for a hug and somehow her arms seemed to know where they were going under his arms and wrapping together like a pair of wings on his back. She felt a little bad that it was hard for him to hug her thanks to her wings, but the rest of her felt so warm against him. All the tension in her body just eased away as her head rested on him. Yun-Hee is a strong independent woman, but that didn't mean that she didn't like the feeling of being in loving, protective arms. When he eased a little, but not fully to her happiness, she eased her head up to look at him with a pearly white smile. If she could laugh she would have, but not a harsh amusing laugh, but a relieved and purely happy laugh.

      "You won't regret this, Yun,"

Again with another somehow she knew he wasn't lying to her. Sure it was just a dance, but to Yun-Hee it felt like something much more, and even more so when he brushed some escaped hair out of her face.

      "I promise."

Nathanial Paramount was one of those gentlemen who always was good on their promises. She was positive that things would be going so much better now. It surprised her when his head bowed closer to hers and in her gut she knew what was happening. Slowly she closed her eyes as he kissed her. All the shaking was gone and all the nervousness was gone. He had magically erased all her fears and doubts and just with a kiss. The butterflies where still there though, but in a happy way from this extraordinary kiss. When it changed she went with it and glowing immensely from it. It was like that kiss they shared had enough spark to become its own energy and flow from her to where her and Nathan met. Eventually they had to break apart and she felt her cheeks grow a light peach from all her glowing. She was bright enough to be her own star now.

      "Heh, um, forgive me."

There was nothing to forgive. That was the most magical moment they had ever shared and all she wanted to do was say thank you to him with her own voice. They were both blushing and Yun-Hee felt so relaxed and calm with him. This called for a celebration. Maybe she could just say one thing to him. She opened her mouth, but as soon as she did something broke the silence. Nathan's phone went off and he seemed so upset that it flattered Yun-Hee. He really did care for her; not to mention he looked so cute as he muttered to himself while he pulled out his phone.

"That was Freddie, I promised to help him ask someone out for Homecoming. And I never break my promises."

Yun-Hee nodded to him with a kind smile. Nathan would have looked a fool if he broke his promise. Yun-Hee didn't know for sure if this was just a date or if this meant that they were going out or something, but whatever it was she wasn't going to dominate his life. Freddie was a good person and although they weren't close, he was still Nathan's friend, so he was important to her too. He gave a quick kiss on her cheek and she felt herself grinning and not trying to hold it in either. He then looked at the flowers and balloons and she could tell he felt a little silly for dropping them, but it was worth it.

"Sorry 'bout that, but, um, how about we get together later to talk about Homecoming? Yah know, what we're gonna wear, so we match and all, and what about dinner before hand? I want to take you someone nice. Or maybe I can cook for you. Oh, wait, very bad idea. Um.. Well, we'll go over all that later, right? I'll text you, or you'll text me? Oh, doesn't matter. We'll find one another, I'm sure."

Talking about it so much made her all jittery, but there was someone else who needed Nathan more than she did right now. She smiled at him shaking her head as she held her fists together while her thumbs moved up and down to mean texting. Then she held out her arm and with her other hand she tapped on her wrist where her watch would be. He was going to be late if he stayed there any longer. She watched him run off, and then come back. Had he forgotten something? He leaned over for another kiss, a more pressed one, and this time Yun-hee was ready for it and almost tempted not to let him go, but he must, and she wasn't going to stop him from his promises. When he left she gave the biggest smile to herself and spun round while her dress lifted up from her feet as she spun in a joyful circle. When she finished she went over to the flowers and picked them up sniffing them happily. Fresh flowers in winter where the best kind of flowers no matter what kind. Then she flew up to all the balloons and grabbed them all; bringing them all back down with her. She had the clever idea of tying the strings around the flowers to keep them from floating again, and it worked.

As she sat down the thought emerged in her head. If Indigo ever found that Nathan was taking her, and even worse that they kissed, she would probably come to her and start some sort of fight. Yun-Hee probably should have been worried but she was so happy that it didn't matter the girl said to her. Nothing would weigh her wings down now. She was going to try and speak again, and it didn't matter if no one was listening, at least she could hear it herself. Boldly she opened her mouth and sucked in some air. She was going to shout Yes to herself. Her tongue was ready to pronounce the syllables. Any second now. Ten second passed and no sound came. Yun-Hee was confused. Why couldn't she speak?

Her mouth was mouthing Yes over and over but no sound came out. Her eyes were filled with dread. Had she forgotten how to speak? Was that even possible? Yun-Hee closed her eyes in frustration and tried to hear her voice speaking in her head. There was nothing in her mind that was speaking. She hadn't spoken in so long that she must have forgotten how to. Quickly she took out her phone and texted the only person who would know best how to handle this. Kaemon.

      |Kaemon! Is it possible for someone to forget how to speak? Please tell me soon|

      This could not be happening.

"Yeah! Thanks Natsuko, that sounds like a lot of fun!"

Hook, line, and sinker. Perhaps after this Natsuko could get closer to her, and in turn get closer to the whole group. That is if this girl was indeed close the group. Natsuko remember earlier how all her so called friends ditched her and left her open to Natsuko's attack, so maybe she wasn't well liked, but at least she was something and Natsuko had to take her chances and redeem herself to Jiro.

                                "One second."

Natsuko nodded as she wadded over to the shallower end where all the guys where. In her hands above her head was the plastic beach ball that she would end up serving back to the guys as soon as the other girl, Yuki, came back. Natsuko noticed though that Yuki never introduced herself to Natsuko, but she still knew her name from the battle earlier that day. Natsuko would have to be careful not to say her name until Yuki told it to her. Natsuko gave a nod to her other two players as they positioned themselves. It was a good thing Natsuko joined all these guys. It was probably the only reason that brought over Yuki to them. Natsuko held up the ball ready to throw it when Garrett came over and joined in. At least this would make Natsuko feel much much better inside. He waved over to her and she waved back with a smile. Her head had to swing a little to get the brown bangs away from her face again. If they were always over her eyes when her hair was dry then having them wet was ten times as worse seeing as they refused to part from her face.

"Hey, Natsuko-chan! Want to introduce me to your cute friend?"

He gave a smirk and a wink to Yuki. Natsuko rolled her eyes playfully. She knew Garrett must be doing this to make good with Yuki and enter in the circle just like she was because it was already a sort of known thing that Momiro and Garrett were close. Actually Natsuko thought it was rather sweet. She decided to play along and use this opportunity for the better.

                                "Hey Garrett!"

Natsuko then turned to Yuki and gave her a lopsided grin. She stuck her thumb out to point to Garrett as she introduced him.

"That's Garrett Hawkins. I know he may seem all good looking, but beware he's a charmer he is."

Natsuko gave a small chuckle as she turned back towards Garrett.

"Garrett this is .... Actually... what is your name? I don't think I caught it earlier."

There. Everything was perfect now. Natsuko gave a confused look to Yuki as she spun the ball on top of the water waiting for an answer.

Praise the fricking lord. Lunch time. As soon as the short hand met that number, Tobias was already grabbing his coat and giving a wave to all the rookies. Julian invited Tobias to go grab something at the burger place next door, but Tobias would rather shoot himself in the foot than eat their junk. Instead he declined and was no outside in the cold clenching his fists repeatedly. If only that stupid brat didn't ruin his gloves. Tobias didn't have any money to go buy more gloves, so he would just have to wait till after work and yet still before work. His gang was considered his work as well. As Tobias walked aimlessly he thought of only two big places that he could hit for tonight. One was the police department, and the other would be Town Square.

He was liking the second one a bit more, and only because it would defiantly get his gang more recognized. He had to think of all the lives lost, but at the same time he didn't really truly care for them. They shot his father, and wanted his own head hanged and lynched along with any other metahuman. Tobias was no God, but he was powerful enough to go through with this. He paused in the street taking out his cell phone and began to text his right hand man.

            |We're doing it in Town Square. Tell the others|

As he put his phone away he couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of this place blowing up in only ten hours. Maybe after this he would go and blow up other buildings, and then skip towns to the big ones. Then maybe tear down this ruthless law system. He was getting ahead of himself though. One step at a time. The thing was that with big things like this someone is bound to see your face and then rat you out. Hiding his face from the cops would only become more of a risk after tonight, and if they did grab his face then he really would have to skip town, because then he'd be on their list and in the computers. He could imagine they would send someone out to capture him or even worse, to kill him. Tobias quickly got back into the flow of moving people before the same event that cost him his father happened again. He stopped when he was at an outside hot dog stand. Tobias wasn't going to push his luck with the meat, but he was going to grab that steamy pretzel.

Clenching his fists again he stuffed them into his pocket and waited in line out in the cold just focused on his pretzel.

            "What'll have?"

            "That last pretzel."

            "$3.50"

            "I guess that's a reasonable price."

The man shrugged as Tobias fished out his wallet and plucked out four dollars. He then took his fifty cents with his pretzel. Thankfully the size of the money and food wasn't enough to strain him from holding his powers. Why couldn't his powers be controllable like Spider Man's or something. All he had to do was touch his wrist and the webs shoot out. It wasn't like the webs would shoot out 24/7. But oh no! Tobias gets to destroy things and he has to do it all the time, and instead of concentrating on doing it, he had to concentrate on not doing it. It was fricking BS. Sourly he walked away and went to a nearby building wall that wasn't covered in s**t, spit, or gum and leaned on it. Eating his pretzel and watching the people pass by was pretty relaxing. His warm jacket also made things easier to lean on account of his back being pretty bruised up.

Izzy Chesire could now be seen scrolling to the back of her book searching for the definition of one of the terms in her book. Yes, she was just starting the weekend and already she was deep into her homework. Left and right people were being asked to the dance in a week, but not Izzy. She was too smart to do so. Instead she was focused on her book for class. Thankfully her up-to-no-good brother wouldn't come and harass her about it. He was just getting out of History of Magic, so he must be anxious to get all his pent up energy out. Izzy had a free period before this, so she was already deep into her studies. It would be nice to see her brother, but she knew him so well that she knew he was only going to pester her about that dance. He would do a trade off. Charles would give her a list of guys that were his friends that were honorable and not likely to have "the deed" with her. She'd refuse them all by metaphorically ripping up the list to shreds.

Then he would give her a list of girls he liked and Izzy would complement them only to have him make some excuse on not being with them and she, being the helpful sister, would have to choose a whole new set of girls. Sighing she flipped back to her marked page and kept reading.

"Boo! Oh geez! Iz really? I can't believe you're doing that!"

Izzy jumped, even if she was sitting, and starred up to see Charles hanging out of the tree making a face at her. Izzy gritted her teeth and made a fist at Charles.

"Charles! You nearly gave me a heart attack. Get out of that tree you creepier. How the hell did you even get up there anyway?"

"Well if you got your head out of your books you would know wouldn't you?"

Izzy rolled her eyes unimpressed by her brother's monkey skills as he dropped himself out of the tree. With a groan of satisfaction he took a seat next to her and looked around. He was going to start his date fest soon and she knew it. What she didn't expect was him giving a groan of disgust at something.

"I don't get why you dig that so much."

Izzy furrowed her brows at him and followed his eye direction. At first she didn't have a clue as to what Charles was going on about until her eyes caught a hold of her yearning, and Charles called him that is. Nathan, whom she had been admiring for some time now, but never did anything about it. Now he was in the midst of talking to someone much prettier and more vain. Shifting her eyes quickly she focused on her book.

"I have no idea what you're talking about."

"Sure, sure. I still don't like him. In fact I've got a ton of guys suitable for you. Some have actually spoken to me of making their intentions known."

Charles gave his loving twin a cheery smile as he tried to block her view of Nathan. Sarcastically she gave Charles a smile back and then made a disgusted face.

"Stop playing matchmaker with me ok? Let's just get down to your list. Hand it over."

Izzy had to re-read the list over twice with a skeptical look.

"Hold on a minute. I'm not allowed to have my own free will, but you're allowed to choose the skankiest girls here? Come on Charles. I will not let you stoop so low."

Dumbstuck, Charles watched her ball the paper up and toss it behind her as she took a fresh parchment out and began to scribble with her quill several names.

"There. That's a more suitable group."

Charles looked at the list and then starred back at her. As usually he was displeased and would harass her for more random names pulled out of a hat like magic, which she probably could do if she wanted to, but as her brother she owed him something from the heart. Tapping her chin she looked up at the gray forming clouds and began to whisper several names. Sighing she gave him her only choice.

                "What about Milo?"

Scrunching his face and looking down he talked with a more somber tone.

"Iz, you know that Milo and I are just friends. I mean we did have something once, but that's over and you know it."

"Fine, then do it yourself, and I'll do things my way."

Charles looked up at her with a cocked eyebrow.

"Suit yourself. But I wouldn't look if I were you."

Izzy was standing now hold her things, and although she knew not to look over she did anyways. The rain had fallen and trickled from her head, past her cheek to her feet.

"I don't see why you think I'd care. I'm going, and I suggest you do the same."

She began walking off not bothering to listen to her brother murmur something. He didn't follow her for a change, but she was sure he would come inside soon, and that they would meet up later and all would be forgiven. It was just the nature of the date trade. Inside though she felt a sickening tingling feeling of anguish. Right, it's not like she cares.

How was it possible for the doctors to really find nothing wrong with her? How was she so healthy that her vocal cords were spick and span? Yun-Hee felt utterly stupid sitting in her room sitting down and starring at her freshly brushed hair in the mirror with her mouth wide open trying to speak. Tonight was the homecoming dance, and Yun-Hee wanted nothing more than to run to Nathan and hold him tightly. Thinking of him gave her butterflies in her stomach. Not the bad ones of course, but the good ones, almost anxiety to go and see him. Still it seemed very hard to do so if she was up in her room starring at her reflection opening her mouth like a gutted fish. Her fingers traced the outline of her throat against the glass and she felt herself cringe. She left early Monday to go back to Korea to see Kaemon. It started last week after Nathan had left her and she came to her revelation that she couldn't speak. Her mind could only race to her dearest friend and care-taker. She texted him, and thankfully he wasn't taking it as a joke.

They texted back and forth furiously until the conclusion that she would just have to be examined. Kaemon wanted her to do it at the school, but the last thing Yun-Hee wanted was for everyone to start rumors that she was sick or something and fear it was some Dusk attack. Poor Nathan! If he thought something was wrong she was she he would worry, and that was the last thing she wanted. Instead she begged Kaemon to have her checked at home and away from the students. It was going to cost him a lot, but he never complained. Ever since then her gut felt tight and constricted, and actually to be more specific it was her throat that was bothering her. Her heart though, didn't let it bother it; especially during her date at the arcade. At least she considered it a date. Now Yun-Hee was never good with games, thanks to Kaemon always making her lose, but those games with Nathan were more than enjoyable. She even remembered him not being able to keep up at one point. Retracting her fingers from the glass, Yun-Hee noticed herself smiling.

Just thinking of him seemed to send her with a warm buzz. However, every time she thought of Nathan she visioned herself running up to him and telling him in person about her feelings, which she was more than aware of by now. How could those doctors be sure that nothing was wrong? She left on Monday, did tests upon tests and x-rays upon x-rays all day. A lot of money was given up on Kaemon's part to ensure that only Yun-Hee's throat would be inspected. It'd be chaotic if they found her wings or ears. They'd probably ship her off the government and experiment with her or worse, use her for the exact thing she was created for. Now that she thought of it how on earth was she supposed to be some super weapon? Ok so she can transmit energy out of herself and absorb it. It's not like others in Mythica can't do that, in fact they could even do more. For example Aaron. Ever since Halloween Yun-Hee has been pondering on his little message.

Even if she was ill that night, you'd have to be blind to miss it. There were so many people in Mythica that could be dangerous, and a few who were. Such as Dusk. Yun-Hee may have been created by evil people with sick minds, but that didn't mean that it restrained her to being that as well. Dawn would prevail, and she will give it her all when the time comes. Yun-Hee shook her head. She was just wasting time now. Nathan was waiting for her. She stood up in her white dress and turned to the side a couple of times making sure it fit right. Kaemon was right. During her visit, on wednesday to be exact, while she was waiting for the test results to come back, she practiced her powers in the back with him. He commented on how toned she was getting.

Now he doesn't know that she's in Dawn, but he just assumes that it is because of Mythica that she's becoming more controlled with her powers, and not just that but her flying as well. Apparently she's been working so hard with her flying that muscles have started to form on her back shoulders. It did make her look more ravishing in her white low-back cut dress. It went just far enough to let her wings peacefully come out and just high enough to be decent. Of course she had to make her dress just a tad egyptian. She added gold clips to the straps right on top of her shoulders, and a gold armlet on her right bare arm. The rest was just an elegant dress that opened up at the knees and grew longer as to make a small trail of white behind her. Not a lot though, due to her fear of someone or Nathan stepping on it during a dance. She wanted so badly to wear the black shoes that Nathan gave her, but they didn't match, and she was half attempting to go out and find a dress to match the shoes, but her doctor bills almost killed Kaemon and she dared not spend another penny. She promised that she would pay him back, but when she told him he just laughed and shooed her on the plane saying she would miss her new boyfriend's game. She very nearly did actually. Traveling is such a hassle, and the wait on the plane seemed too long.

In fact Yun-Hee swore she could have traveled faster by herself and her own wings. Instead she had just endure the ride constantly looking at her clock. When she landed she rushed over to a cab. It felt like deja vu from the first day of school where she rushed to a cab and handed the directions and money and kept silent while he talked to air basically. She remembered how horrible she felt in that ride thinking of how mad she would be if she missed Nathan's game. Never has missed a game since she came to Mythica. In the beginning it was just because it seemed like a normal high school thing to do, but then as Nathan got closer she would go for him. Back then it was just as a supportive friend, but now it was deeper. Yun-Hee didn't even bother un-packing her things. She just threw it on her bed and rushed out of her room as fast as can be. She knew she was already late because when she pulled up to the trail to the school she could already hear the voices of cheering. When she made it she could that he noticed her because he was grinning.

Although he could have just be grinning to the crowd, but she liked to think it was from her. Now if only she had her voice she could have been one of the voices among many to scream out congratulate him, but instead she could only beam at him as he lifted her. Did it really matter if he was sweaty? Not a bit. Seeing him smile like that made her want to laugh. Her hand wove around his neck as she kissed him with a congratulatory kiss. There was a moment where he seemed a bit off, but she assumed it was because he was just tired. Why couldn't speak? She wanted to say she was sorry she was late and cheer for him and tell him how much she cared for him. That last part the most. Sure he got a lot of that caring because he was popular, but she cared because he was different and kind and didn't see her as the dumb mute. Thinking of him got her to smile again the mirror.

Now that her hair was done Yun-Hee decided to add the finishing touches to her face and hair. Her left hand glowed silver as her right glowed golden. Her right pointer finger became the pinpoint of the gold color as she dabbed small orbs of energy into her hair. Almost making it look like dew on a spider web. The silver hand did the same thing except not in her hair but around her eyes. They were so small they just looked like soft, silver glitter. There now she done. Controlling her powers wasn't all too hard. Hopefully that statement wouldn't come back to haunt her later. Yun-Hee finished looking at herself and walked over to her bed to pick up shawl. Of course she didn't need it because of the warmth that was already inside her body, but completed the dress. Yun-Hee lifted the back of her milky dress up as she left her room with a smile.

She was to meet Nathan at the girl's cafe. Not to eat of course, since they already did, but because it was closer to the party. When she made it outside the wind immediately picked up her hair and caused it to start flowing just like her dress was already doing in the back. It just couldn't be stopped. Almost like a beckon of light to a boat was Nathan to Yun-Hee. She was trying so hard not to be nervous as she walked up to him beaming. It was a good thing she colored in yes, because she might have been a wee bit jealous if she saw Nathan like this with someone else.

●● Ninel Krylov Preobrazhensky :: It's this neutral feeling I have with him. My sister is interested in him, so maybe I could see myself conversing with him from time to time.

●● Ronald Avery Beckham :: Dude this guy is cool, like seriously, don't mess with him. I like to chill with him and team up on teasing poor little Addie. She's cute as a button when she's flustered.

●● Nathan Orin Alexander :: Grrrrrrrrrr I hate him so much because my sister just can't get enough of him. I wish he would drop dead and that she would come to realize that he's only a book worm push over.I should feel bad for hating this guy so unjustly, but I care for my sister and this guy just won't give her the time of day, and it's hurting her whether she knows it or not, and I just can't forgive that.

●● Addie Esther Delilah Timberly Bates :: In a sick and twisted way I think it's cute when she's all flustered. I love to team up with Ronny and just playfully tease the buttons on this girl. I hope she knows that's it's all just for laughs. I would never try to make fun of her to hurt her.

●● Jacklyn Fiona Ramsden :: pending

●● Alburne Jack Dyer :: Eh... I guess I could speak to him, but for some odd reason I just get a feeling that trying to befriend him wouldn't work and I'd waste his time and my time.

              RAVENCLAW

●● Frederick Branden Foxborough :: I fricking love this guy. You know those guys that you're with that just make you feel manly and want to get in a fight? Well Freddie does that to me. My sister tags along because he's just that much fun, and together we all just get hyped up on adrenaline and wreck havoc.

●● Halden Bianchi Grieve :: To him I feel particularly close to. He shares what I have. A mask for the mass society, and with him I don't have to be the guy making an a** of himself to get a laugh. I feel the same way with Izzy, so it's no wonder we get along so well. I would never stab his back, and because of that I consider myself his sort of left hand man- I think the right hand is taken.

●● Izzy Freya Cheshire :: I. Love. Her. She's my closest family member and I treasure her like no other. You could say I'm over protective, but it's just because no one gets me like she does. Twins just stick together you know? It only makes it better to know she's always on my side as well.

●● Wolfgang Carston Spencer :: I want a scarf from him too... but Izzy says that he's close to Gabby, so I think I'll just ignore him.

●● Analise Christelle Adega :: To put it simple, we are just acquaintances. I mean I guess we could be more, but we just don't hang out enough you know.

●● Violet Juniper Hawthorne :: She's off limits according to Izzy. That's just the way it works. When I have beef with a group of peeps she doesn't get involved with them and vice versa.

              SLYTHERIN

●● Gabrielle Don Ivoire :: She's the big no-no speaking person. At the same time though, I don't exactly hate her because selfishly I hope that she'll get Nathan and my sister can move on from that p***k.

●● David Mason :: This guy is A-ok in my book. I think he's hilarious, even if my sister thinks he's too blunt, to put it nicely.

●● Charlotte Ruby Zabini :: pending

●● Blair Ellery Blackwood :: I've seen her, but haven't really met her, but she looks super cool!

●● Tyler Kian Landon :: We're like best of buds. I know I know, I have a lot of those. He's just someone that I know I can run up to and just have a good time with and not have to fake s**t with him. I know he digs my sister a bit, so I'm trying to get him to make a move, but he just doesn't roll that way. But, he does look at her often so I find that amusing.

●● Shayan Shirazi :: Dude, I think we're like soul mates. We're both only so-so at classes, and our personalities just click you know. He loves gossiping as much as I do, so I know that whenever one of us has the scoop the other will know as soon as possible. It's awesome. Not to mention whenever I'm feeling down I just run to him and I know he makes it better.

Charles had the smallest feeling that it was going to rain. Just by judging at the cloud coverage that is. It was always nice looking up at the clouds, especially if one was in a tree. Yah, Charles skipped out on his History of Magic class. Ugh, was all he could say to that icky subject. Besides he had more important things to do with Izzy. The dance was coming soon and Charles needed a date. He even wrote up his list of potential dates, and as for the guys she should date, well those were some no brainers. Anyone but that awful Nathan. There was Tyler for sure, and even Halden as well. Charles sniffed a bit as a leaf blew across his face. That was a close one; if it brushed a little more he would have sneezed and given himself away to Izzy. Speaking of which, Charles looked away from the sky and back down to his little sister just sitting there doing homework. Really? Why on earth would she just be doing homework when so many people around her were getting dates? She just seemed to be entranced by her book as well as her notes. Charles would just have to change that. Like an inchworm he crept onto his belly getting further out on a large branch. Carefully positioning himself he hooked his legs and let the rest of his body fall down with weight of gravity as he hung in the air. Izzy even managed to jump.

"Boo! Oh geez! Iz really? I can't believe you're doing that!"

Aww, seeing her angry was so cute. Especially with her hair tied back like that with the little blue strands poking out. Her angry face and fist only made him laugh so hard her almost fell out of the tree. Just looking at her made him comfortable, and even if there were some differences in their look, it was like looking in a mirror. They have the same eyes.

"Charles! You nearly gave me a heart attack. Get out of that tree you creepier. How the hell did you even get up there anyway?"

"Well if you got your head out of your books you would know wouldn't you?"

Smiling he lifted himself out of the tree and sat next to her. The clouds were shifting more; the rain was coming in soon. Charles looked around and made groaning noise. It was the little p***k, Noa. Charles hated him so much it was nauseating to look at him. He just seemed to rub Charles the wrong way, and even if they were on the same side, he was still the center of attention in Izzy's eye. Perhaps the reason why he hated him was because he knew that Izzy didn't have a chance with him. Especially not with the vixen, Gabby. It was hurting her inside, and that ladies and gentlemen is why Charles hated Nathan. Anyone who hurts her is on a death list for him. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if he just came up and talked to Izzy every now and then, but he wasn't, so Charles made an oath to hate Nathan from now till the end of time.

"I don't get why you dig that so much."

"I have no idea what you're talking about."

Maybe it was the wrong choice for Charles to mention him. He could see the distress just pouring out of her, even if she denied it. He paused and then tried to change the subject.

"Sure, sure. I still don't like him. In fact I've got a ton of guys suitable for you. Some have actually spoken to me of making their intentions known."

Tyler, was one for example. Charles forced out a cheery smile to help her. In fact he even tried to block her view of Nathan. Hopefully it would work. She gave a smile back, even if it was fake, and of course a twisted face.

"Stop playing matchmaker with me ok? Let's just get down to your list. Hand it over."

As she read Charles starred at Nathan with a face of growing hate. His trance was broken when Izzy spoke again. Charles smiled feeling important enough to have his sister look over the list.

"Hold on a minute. I'm not allowed to have my own free will, but you're allowed to choose the skankiest girls here? Come on Charles. I will not let you stoop so low."

Charles watched her ball up the paper and toss it. He worked hard on that list for once, so of course he was a little sore, but still overall happy that her attention was away from Nathan.

"There. That's a more suitable group."

Charles took the list and raised an eyebrow at her. This would never do, and Izzy quickly realized that. He watched her tap her chin starring at the sky. Charles, too, looked up. He could smell the rain coming soon.

                    "What about Milo?"

Charles immediately looked down at her and then at the grass. His face crunched up together as he thought of her. As a friend maybe, but Milo as a date, or girlfriend. Well it just wasn't going to work. He had her down as a last resort, but it would just be too weird. They already dated once, but things weren't working right. Despite the fact of how much Charles cared for her. There were just some things a person couldn't change. Izzy once put it to him when they were talking as his love for Milo the wrong type of love. She told him it might be the love of a friendship, but that was awhile ago so she probably forgot about it.

"Iz, you know that Milo and I are just friends. I mean we did have something once, but that's over and you know it."

Perhaps those were the wrong words.

"Fine, then do it yourself, and I'll do things my way."

Wait... was she seriously just suggesting that she would ask Nathan? She was, and because of this Charles looked at them and made a horrible mistake.

"Suit yourself. But I wouldn't look if I were you."

She looked, as he knew she would over at Nathan and Gabby having their moment. He was positive she had already asked him to the dance, and suddenly felt a horrible feeling as the rain began to fall on him. Izzy's words made him know that what he did was wrong and hurtful to the one person he cared for the most.

"I don't see why you think I'd care. I'm going, and I suggest you do the same."

********. He messed up. He murmured some curse words as she walked away. He dared to look back at Nathan and felt disgusted. He wasn't going to chase Izzy because seeing her hurt would hurt him some more. Instead he got up and went for the opposite doorway into the castle. Milo. He needed Milo right now. Someone to cheer him up and tell him what to do to apologize to Izzy. His anger at Nathan and himself continued to pent in him as he began to walk mindless through the halls with a bashing headache. He didn't even know that he was actually walking up stairs. He was now walking on an upper floor that was dimly lit and since everyone was at dinner, it was pretty much empty. His head wouldn't let up so he walked over to a window hoping to find some air to clear his head. The rain against the window calmed him a little until he looked down. It must be another couple asking each other to the dance. Charles lingered on them a little longer than usual only to see it was Milo and Antonio. At this point Charles was beyond upset. He was ******** pissed. First Izzy and Nathan and now this? He should look away but the big brother is watching you instinct made him look.

They were getting awfully close and Charles wasn't liking this at all. His head bashed harder as the rain fell down more. He narrowed his eyes with hate as he watched them kiss. Yes he was over her, but like Izzy he didn't like Milo with Antonio. He wasn't the right guy for her and she just couldn't see it. Charles hated Nathan all right, but they never talked so it was ok, but Antonio consistently was near him and that just pissed Charles off. Now seeing this he felt like punching Antonio in the face. He leaned against the window sill looking down on them. They wouldn't see him, especially not with the rain, but he could see them. It looked like they were about to go eat, but at this point Charles wasn't even hungry. Outside was raining, but inside him a storm was brewing.

Tyler was probably not waiting for her anymore, she figured. She was way too late for his taste, and Izzy would have been on time if it wasn't for her having to temporarily watch someone in detention for one of the teachers who couldn't seem to make the date they scheduled. By now she was out of the tub drenched, covered in a towel, starring a large white box with a thin, blue lace ribbon around it. She felt her eyebrow twitch as she looked at the card. Earlier it seemed like nothing, but now that she was about to unveil the box, she felt an uneasy feeling come over her. She remembered when Charles came up to her in the Great Hall a couple of days prior to today and sad he's sorry present was waiting in her room, but not to open them until today. She kept his promise fairly easily seeing as she didn't even want to dare peek at what expensive items he had bought her. She assumed it was her attire for tonight. The boxes came in three sizes. One large one, which suspected to be a dress, one medium, around the size of shoe box, which could only mean shoes, and another really small box. That she had no clue as to what it was, and because of that she decided to save that for the very last. Nervously her wet fingers reached out and quickly shook away the ribbon exterior. Her hand clamped to her mouth as to not scream in horror.

How the devil did he get the gold to purchase this beauty? Oh God, Charles must have sucked up to Freddie. Not their best friend Freddie, but their step-father Freddie. Charles and Izzy were almost the black sheep of the family, and all their wealth depended on Freddie. Charles must have asked him for help. This meant a lot considering that Charles hated Freddie. As if the dress was made of glass, Izzy lifted it out of the box and out into the open air ready for Izzy's body to slip into it. Several minutes later the dead was done and Izzy felt weird for being in such a big dress, but pleased that the blue of the dress was to her liking. In fact, she began to think as she reviewed herself in the large mirror, she could even add a little enchantment to the dress to make it perfect, but she would get to that later. Now she had to worry about everything else. Tyler was still waiting for her at their agreed spot, and she still had damp hair. Izzy hurried over to her robes that she laid neatly by the baths. Somewhere under the black folds was her wand, which she would trust with getting her hair fixed as well as several other things.

Once she had her wand out she quickly muttered a drying spell for her hair. Perfect, as always. Izzy's spells never did falter seeing as she was one of the top students in all her classes. Her pale hands gripped the sides of the mirror as she pondered looking at her hair. What could she do with it? Izzy didn't wonder too long because she knew it was killing time, so instead she decided to pull some of the top hair and clip in the back with a beret she had handy. Izzy felt a little accomplished that she was almost through with her changing arrangements. Charles's gift number two was up now, and she hoped the shoes weren't as expensively bad as the dress. With some mild curiosity her wan hands lifted up the ivory lid only to be blinded by the light shinning off the shoes. Izzy completely dropped the box to stare at the shoes. No freaking way. Izzy lifted up the shoe to see and to feel that her suspicions were correct. The shoe was made of glass.

"I'm beginning to think he wanted me to be a princess tonight."

Her voice sounded cracked and shaken in the quiet bathrooms. Izzy examined the shoes more carefully playing with the one she held in between her hands. The glass was smooth and a bit cold, but the way it was shaped reflected the light so well. There were no diamonds or rhinestones or any other fancy design. They were just simply heels made purely out of glass. It probably wasn't even made by a muggle. No muggle could match this beauty. It had to be from some sort of wizard, and it made Izzy wonder who exactly Charles had connections with to ask this sort of favor. Then again maybe he just borrowed some more money and asked some wizarding store for something custom made. Whatever the case was, Izzy was eager to try on her glass heels. They had to be accustomed to fit her, now that she thought about it. How else would they fit her porcelain feet? Once they were on, Izzy lifted her dress up a little and leaned over peering down at her visible feet; in the shoes they didn't seem so plain to her.

Actually, nothing she was wearing made her seem plain. The dress made her eyes pop, her hair corresponded with her dress giving her a complete look, and her shoes dazzled her feet so to speak. Only a couple of more things to add on and she would be ready to run to Tyler... then again that didn't seem so appetizing. Next was her little Halloween twist to her attire. It didn't matter what she wore that night, she had already planned to do this. Thankfully enough it only enhanced everything else. Of course it did require a little help from some magic. Izzy positioned herself in front of the mirror with her wand in hand. She flicked the wand to her face while muttering a soft charm. The effect was a blue make-up mask. Wearing actual masks now seemed a little overrated and much too common, but who on the other hand would literally be wearing their mask? Wearing makeup wasn't usually her thing, but in large quantities such as this where it was meant to cover her face instead of enhance it was considered appropriate for her. Not to mention that masks could accidentally fall off the face or be lifted which would evaporate the illusion, but make up would not fall, nor could it be lifted.

Now it was time for the final gift. Charles's last present. Perhaps it was a ring? Izzy wasn't quite sure as her thumb and forefinger gripped the lid of the box. With little force they revealed a diamond necklace. Izzy was practically in love with it. Charles defiantly had his way of apologizing and making up. With a gentle smile, Izzy gracefully placed the necklace around her neck. It fell quite nicely from the base of her neck down to the beginning of the crevice of her bosom. Everything was almost ready, but her last little touch. Tonight was the night that everyone did something a little special to make them noticed. Well at least the female population did. Biting her lips, Izzy decided to add her own touch. Tonight she felt radiant, and tonight she would shine. Taking her wand out for one last time she pointed at the bottom of her dress and charmed it.

The bottom of her dress began to sparkle a silver glow that rose up a little getting scarcer at the top. It wasn't the fact that she had silver sparkles at the end of her dress, but that her dress seemed to be dropping the glitter as well. Izzy tested by walking a few steps to see a light silver trail behind her. After several seconds they slowly began to disintegrate, which was as planned, because if Izzy would have left permanent glitter then there would be a ridiculously long trail of silver sparkles everywhere. Finally she was ready. Izzy placed her wand away, safely tucked in the folds of her dress, and exited the bathroom. As she departed though she heard a voice mutter something.

                "Ooooh fancy."

It must have been a ghost, she thought. A little nervous, Izzy began to walk towards the dance. She couldn't help feeling a little sad though. It wasn't like her efforts were going to be praised by someone she really liked. It was just Tyler, who personally turned her off on occasions.

Who she really wished was taking her was Nathan. She waited too long. If she just had the nerves to straight up tell him that she liked him perhaps he would have said no to that treacherous Gabby. What sucked more was that it wouldn't have mattered if she told him. Izzy knew that Gabby suited Nathan more. Those two just looked right together and Izzy finally figured out that it was in fact hurting her inside. She did try at least in her own way to show Nathan that she cared. She talked to him at least, and sometimes actually went up to him. Then again that was a bold face lie to say she tried. Trying would be giving it your all and telling him how she felt. That seemed to be her only weakness. Finding a snitch was simple, guiding annoying first years was simple, learning new spells was simple, but confronting him was hard. She could always hear her own heart beating louder than her own words sometimes.

Sighing, her thoughts were drowned out by the sound of music coming at her. Voices came soon after. Izzy was close to the Great Hall. All she needed was to descend the stairs and she would be at the entrance. What she didn't count on was people actually being there. Holding her breath Izzy placed a hand against the railing to keep from collapsing. Glass shoes proved harder to walk in than any other heel she had ever walked in. The silver sparkles trailed behind her on the steps. She slowed her descend only because she felt herself slipping a little. Izzy could make out several people, but she couldn't quite see where Tyler was. This made her pause at the final step of the stairs. Her head arched
forward a little and swayed as she tried to locate him. Knowing him, he probably just stood her up.

Tying this cape around his neck was much harder than it looked like. He struggled with it immensely and all those chatty people weren't helping. Some of the other Slytherins were getting ready to leave and couldn't help grinning at the fool Charles who can't even tie a knot, inside the common room. Charles gave a weak smile and half hearted laugh as well as determined look to get his cape to tie. It only brought chuckles in his house. It was probably harsh to think so, but Charles wished all of them would go and drown in the lake right now. ******** it if they were Slytherins or not, they all were bothering him. There were so few that Charles would tolerate right now. Izzy would be the first on his list that he would request for to cool his temper. Charles was just not in a good mood since the Milo incident. Yes he didn't love her in that way anymore, but that didn't mean that all his feelings for her just evaporated. Milo deserved someone who at least wasn't a stuck up p***k. Antonio was just too ... snobby, proper, and such a goody goody. At least when Milo and him dated they had fun. There was also the fact that Antonio barely knew her as well. Geez, they couldn't even wait to glue their lips together. Charles tried all that he could to keep from making a face or frowning while there were people watching him. Instead he just chuckled some more as he helplessly tied the knot. Once he got it he gave a broad smile as if to signal that the joke was over and that they would just have to leave and expect more at the dance.

Who would suspect the jittering monkey to be the tiger in disguise? No one; that's why it was so perfect. Everyone was in a sea of ignorance. Charles gave a little bow to the remaining people who decided to clap for him. It was respectable, but annoying all the same. The Prince Charles sentenced them away. That's right. Tonight Charles sheathed his title of crown jester for a royal. A royal garbed in silk so fine it shimmered in the dark. Charles cornered his eyes like the silt of a snake's as the entrance closed off the people interrupting his dark thoughts. There is a reason why Charles Cheshire was placed in Slytherin. The darkness enveloped in his heart was much too murky to not be seen through the white paint that coated Charles when the sorting hat was placed upon his head. It was a real experience for Charles, and one he kept to himself. Charles was merely lingering now in his common room. His fingers traced along the mask he bought for himself. A physical mask to show, or hint at the very least that he is not what he seemed. Charles stroked the huge protruding red feathers coming from the mask comparing them to the color of blood; blood that he hoped would be spilt today. Blood of Antonio.

Charles tried his best not to crack the delicate mask he just purchased, but Antonio made him so vicious. The royal sneered as he thought back to the startling scene he witnessed between Milo and Antonio. She willing threw herself at him. It was insulting to Charles that she did such behavior. It took Charles ages before he worked up the courage to kiss her, not to mention all that he did to get to know her better. And here comes Antonio the supposedly self-proclaimed sexy Spaniard who just waltzes up and woos her before she even has time to reconsider. It was just wrong in general. Antonio was weak and would never be able to provide for Milo, plus he was just too tame for her. Milo was wild and needed someone who could keep up. As ex-lover, and best friend Charles only thought it right that he have at least a little say in who she was going to see and not see. Antonio, sadly enough for him, was out, and Charles would make sure he knew that tonight. Since earlier in the week Charles made himself scarce, and was working out. Obviously not enough to make a visible difference, but enough to make himself little stronger, you know, to give him the advantage. No wands would be necessary in this battle, and if someone saw fit to come and show Antonio justice, they would be free to fight. Charles wasn’t a fool to know that Milo would just go along with this, but perhaps after Antonio was dragged away to the hospital wing, they could talk in private about this whole ordeal, and perhaps she would listen. The other problem would be Izzy. As a sister and a prefect she would be bound to come and stop Charles, but with his apology gift she would hopefully be attached to Tyler, and Tyler defiantly wasn't going to stop Charles with his fight. The other sour note is that Charles just knew in his gut that Izzy was going to be far too beautiful tonight, and she would be eager to get next to Nathan. Charles would have to sacrifice Izzy and allow her to woo over Nathan in return for Charles puling through with the fight.

Nowadays everything has a price, thought the prince as he sighed. If he continued to wait this long Char would be down and their meeting place would be pointless. Charles brushed his hair to the side with his hand and prepared his mask upon his face. The mask matched very well to his whole prince outfit. Charles almost left before he realized he was forgetting one thing. Every prince needs a sword, and yes Charles' sword was real. Well to put it correctly it was a saber, but the difference was minor. Tyler helped him get it past security. It was sure nice to have friends in high positions. The real sword was merely to prove to Antonio that Charles was the real deal, plus wouldn't it be cool if Charles challenged Antonio with a real sword? Antonio would probably be all sissy like and bring out a white glove or something, but Charles would whip out his sword and hold it to his throat and say some cool catch phrase, and then the battle would begin. Charles chuckled a little as he sheathed the saber and tied it against his waist. The royal then left the common room with a flick of his cape and devilish smile. The prince trotted through the corridors in silence as the lights came and went. The halls were practically empty since everyone was out enjoying the festivities. Charles actually might not have been one of them if Char had not asked him to the dance. Char was not a last resort, actually she was rather attractive and very easy for him to get along with, but still he figured that tonight was just like any other night in that there was a very remote chance that they would fall for each other. If she had not agreed to go with him then he planned to do some Deatheater's work. He was in the mood for mischief, and not the kind that was acceptable.

Ever since the scene he witnessed with Milo, Charles has been a ticking time bomb waiting to explode on someone innocent or not and just curse them to hang on the ceiling until the blood poured out from their nostrils, eyes, and mouth. Yes, Charles has been extremely pissed, but no one seems to notice that becomes the fact is that no one sees him. Izzy might have known or caught on if they spent the week together, but every since that sprat they had and the confirmation that Nathan was taking Gabby, she was avoiding him. Hopefully his gift, and Tyler, would take her mind off of it. There was something fishy with the date though, and Charles wasn't much aware with it or interested in it, he still knew something seemed planned. Whatever it was it didn't matter at all to him. Actually if anything it helped to get Izzy away from the wannabe quiet intellectual. His thoughts almost led Charles smack into someone, but thankfully they both moved out of the way in time. Charles wasn't recognized very much because of the dim light and the mask so the only reply to their almost collision was a compliment on his attire. Charles nodded but said nothing and kept on his way. It probably baffled some, and most important his sister if indeed she had her gifts now, how he acquired this sort of gold. All that was needed was a little brown-nosing, and some agreements for more family gatherings with his step-father. It was no use asking his mother because it's not like she had any money. Izzy's and Charles' wealth depended solely on the graciousness of their step-father Freddie. If anyone was lucky it was Toby, Charles' and Izzy's half brother. Adam, their other half-brother but in no direct relation to Toby, was fine. He was out in his own apartment trying to get a job with the Ministry. What a laugh that was. Poor unknowing Adam, the star of the family, the best Gryffindor had to offer when he was there, shared a half-sibling relationship with two deatheaters.

The best thing was that Adam would never know it. Thinking of Adam though only brought very little humor to Charles, and only because of when Izzy gave that one premonition in front of the family. Izzy's gift was interesting and one that Charles always gave a special eye out for. After her last one he was interested for more, just to see what the future was bringing. The point was though that Charles would have to sacrifice himself to more homecomings and talking more with Freddie. As if, Charles planned to get sick for almost all of them, because to be honest, only Izzy mattered. Their mother gets pregnant with every guy she meets, his so called brothers weren't his real brothers, Freddie was just a boring person, and their real father was probably out drinking himself until he passes out. Charles always knew that he wasn't going to come back, but he wanted to remain hopeful for Izzy, so he always acted like their father would wise up and come home. Charles could have kept going with this, but by now he was at he entrance of the Great Hall and the bright lights kept him away from the shadows that his brain made inside his skull. It looked like it once was empty, but by now everything was exciting and everyone was out and about. Charles looked around for familiar faces, but all he got back was stares of students he knew that for once didn't see him through the layer in front of his face. How so of them to finally not recognize him just because of an appearance, rather than by personality. Charles rolled his eyes and got closer to the entrance. Perhaps Izzy was here by now? No, not quite yet, but he did see someone familiar, Tyler. Geez he looked ready to murder someone. Charles probably should have urged Izzy not to be late, although she did know Tyler as well so she should have figured that Tyler waiting for a woman was a bliss from the Gods. Charles smirked and took a few steps getting ready to great him. He was halted unfortunately by a group of students who decided to cut his path and force him back a bit.

A prince should never have to wait. It was fortunate that he was cut off and forced to look a different direction, because now he was able to glance at a green fairy come to enchant his heart. From where Charles stood he could plainly see Anna, Freddie's sister, with gorgeous wings upon her bare back and a green dress just as pretty as the one he bought for Izzy, but you can't look at your sister and think she's gorgeous because that's incest and gross. On Anna thought it was perfectly ok. Charles even felt a little heated in his mask and wanted to just bound straight for her and impress her, but he realized that wouldn't be so good considering she was in the company of another masked man. Charles shook his head and looked away. No, Anna would be for another night. Tonight was meant to be a heated battle between strength and weak. Antonio being the weak of course. Charles felt himself get heated again, but this time of pent up anger. Charles again took a few steps forward when he noticed a lonely figure struggling down the steps; Izzy. Charles gave a soft smile as he looked up at her. At least he could think that she was pretty and not sound like he was hitting on her. He was sure that it was awkward for her since she wasn't accustomed to heels and he suddenly asked her to go in glass ones, not to mention the grand dress he bought for her. He did like her own little touch to it by literally wearing her mask. Now that was unique and he gave her props. Charles was also amazed, but not surprised, at the bottom of her dress sparkling and giving off glitter to the floor then disappearing. That was Izzy for you, secretly deadly with charms. He did notice however, that she just stopped at the last step; never really joining the floor and everyone else.

Her moving head implied that she was looking for Tyler, who probably didn't even notice her now. Smirking a bit and shaking his head Charles looked back to Tyler and came at him. Charles was a bit disturbed to find Tyler struggling with another girl right now. Charles came next to them and tapped his foot.

"Tyler...didn't we talk about this? Man, just look over there."

Charles nudged his head over in Izzy's direction. All he wanted was for them to have a nice date, and keep Izzy away from him while he dealt with Antonio. Well there was also his personal wish of Izzy falling for someone that wasn't Nathan and someone he personally approved of. That's why Charles begged Tyler before he asked Izzy to not just ditch her and go gallivanting off with another girl. At least not for tonight. If Charles was a prince, then shouldn't Izzy be a princess?

Voices, all that were heard were voices.

Surely Chloe was dead. She could almost touch her uncle there reaching out for her. She had to be dead if the voices that came and went didn't come to shake her awake yet. What had happened beforehand? The trip was supposed to be so perfect and while relaxing for some it was supposed to be Chloe's adventure. The hybrid female was going to do so many things on that planet; she even had a list. Then there was the blinking sign as a note of turbulence, which followed with uncontrollable lurches. Then all she could remember was her fingernails digging into her armrest and gritting her teeth. The screams commenced, but Chloe did not make a sound and instead closed her eyes. The she remembered lunging forward and bashing her head against something, what it was she wasn't sure, but it knocked her out. She's been out cold ever since dreaming in white and seeing the dead. It seemed clear that if she was dying then she was perishing the way the humans and her father thought of death. Her mother's culture was vastly different on their views of death. What was happening though?

Was this all there was to death? Why did it smell so much like smoke? Then the white was gone and Chloe's nose burned of smoke and blood. Her hand began to twitch as her brain regained control of her body. Her nose was burning from all the smell that she began to cough and sputter, and with those forced movements her eyes opened. Chloe's full, oddly colored eyes blinked multiple times before they fully opened. Now it wasn't her unnatural body position that was bothering her; it was the weight that was acting on it. Chloe regained her thinking process and started to shift around to get whatever was on her off. It was then she noticed that moving caused her serious pain, but it wasn't really from her body that was crying out in pain. It was her head. Chloe's free left, gloved hand reached under her legs to where her head was in between and started lightly touching her forehead. Her fingers traced the left side, and nothing. They then switched directions to her right side and immediately she hissed retracting her own hand. That must have been where she hit her head and caused her to pass out. She looked at her gloved hand and could see the fresh blood on her fingertips.

Apparently Chloe's wound was still fresh enough to bleed, but not enough to run down her face. Her blood was red just as any other human's but the components of her blood were fused with her mother's alien species, so even if looked like a human's she was still forbidden to give blood donations. Chloe began to heave herself around trying to throw whatever was on her back off. Whatever it was it smelled horrid. Eventually whatever was on her began to s**t and slid off her back to the side with a loud thunk. Chloe lifted herself up, and while doing so looked over to her side where the object landed. Chloe's eyes became big as she starred at the human body, and she almost wanted to scream. Quickly she looked away hopping to find sanctuary in the other location, but only found comfort in seeing more dead bodies all around her with only dim light and not a soul stirring. Didn't she hear voices earlier? Where had they gone? Were they only in her head? She bit her lips as she began to get out of her seat and into a more open place. When Chloe made it passed the seats and some of the dead she breathed in empty silence. Was she the only survivor? Suddenly she was startled by a noise, but looked around to find that it was only her sunglasses that had fallen off her head and onto the floor.

Chloe was all prepared for a nice trip, but with this accident she could only kick her glasses away. She then tore off her blood stained gloves and held her bare arms for warmth. Well it was no use standing there cold and confused. Chloe shuddered a bit and began heading towards what she expected to be the exit. Her brain nerves made her eyes blink and when she opened them she had her night vision on to make her escape out of this horrid place easier. Chloe could only hear her shallow breathing and the sparks from the ship. Holding her arms her boots clanked against metal providing no sound comfort. Was there anyone left? Chloe began to walk faster noticing that the ship began to creek a bit, but pressed on. Suddenly, Chloe felt a rumble as the floor underneath her gave out. Chloe fell on her back wincing at the pain in between her shoulder blades. Her arms immediately covered her face as the rubble came down around her. How stupid was she to start running in a crashed plane and not think that some of the floors would cave? When the collaspe ended she coughed as the gray dust blew in the air. Weakly she got up seeing that she obtained another wound on her left knee.

Another deep gash that stung while just lying there, but she was sure she could still walk. Looking up she could see the hole from whence she came. Chloe sighed seeing the place where she dropped was just a dead end. She would have to climb up. Looking around she could see some of the large rubble, and crates. Groaning, Chloe began to push the crates, and made just enough height for her to reach the hole. Chloe began to climb up ignoring the headache and her screaming knee. Eventually the pain would numb itself out. Her tall body reached the edge of the hole and with ease she lifted herself up. Once she reached the upper floor she was forced to walk back to her seat and find another escape. This time she was cautious and prepared if another cave in should happen. She paused when she arrived at her starting point feeling grim about her situation. As she began to lift her foot, the point of it brushed against something which caused it to slide in front of her. It was her carry-on bag filled with electronics and some books. Chloe quickly looked to check her electronics hoping that one of them was unharmed from the crash and perhaps could make contact with someone, but everything in there was smashed to bits by the books. How ironic.

With a frustrated sigh she threw her bag to the side and placed her head in her hands. The smoke and ashes along with the smell of the bodies was nauseating, she had heard no voices, and the dark was getting darker. Chloe squatted in self-pity for only a moment but grinded her teeth and stood once more. Someone has to be alive. For now though she had an idea from her bag. Perhaps her luggage retained something. Chloe fumbled over bodies trying to open the carrier, which was no easy feat to open since the crash. Chloe tugged out her luggage, clicking it open and began to shift through her clothes. At least her clothes survived so she wouldn't have to live like a pig, but what was really important was the fact that she had packed all her climbing supplies as well as her expedition supplies. Chloe and her grandmother had issues with trusting tourist companies, so they both figured that bringing personal equipment was the best. Grinning she ran over to the bag she had previously thrown away and emptied its contents. She then filled it with her climbing harness as well as some goggles and gloves. The rope she had she wrapped around into multiple ovals and placed it over her arm to carry. Chloe then picked up the other bag and felt much better about traveling this grounded haul. With determination she began to travel in the opposite direction with her eyes guarding her.

It seemed like two hours that she had been traveling when she began to smell air. Air that wasn't of smoke or bodies, but from the fresh sky. Perhaps they landed in Aventurine after all. Why she said we though confused her. As she walked she began to see flaws in her presumed location. Someone should have seen their crash and rushed to look for survivors. Perhaps they already searched it and Chloe was still unconscious. There should have still be people swarming the place getting the deceased out. The farther Chloe walked the more she began to dread that she had landed on Lamie. Her thoughts became distracted as she began to hear voices. Voices! Actual live voices! Muffled yes, but they were loud at least for her to hear. They sounded upset. Perhaps they needed help?

Chloe began to run through the aircraft with the rope banging against her side and the pain her knee returning. Chloe stopped as she noticed the floor began to slope downward, indicating that perhaps the ship broke off into separate pieces. An opening was sure to appear. Chloe began to descend holding onto nearby secure objects so that she wouldn't slip and cause another injury. Her eyes narrowed a bit as she realized that some debris was still in her way, but the voices were louder, and she could make out a girl's voice obviously upset. What had she stumbled onto? Were the survivors already fighting with each other? Chloe began to claw away at some of the rubble making and opening for herself. Chloe took her bag off and slipped it through the hole and afterwards the rope. She then began to climb and start slipping herself through the hole. Her knee was numb with pain now and probably infected or something. The rock and granite scrapped across her arms and other exposed body parts like thorns. Her body though had no trouble with slipping through the hole at the end. Her feet landed on the hard earth as she grunted a little. She picked up her bag and rope and looked around seeing darkening jungle around her.

            "Hello?"

There was not much else to say to an empty jungle. Her brain sent some signals to her eyes again as they blinked causing her to see in her normal lighting; still much more advanced than a humans though. Chloe turned away from the cold jungle that provided no answers and walked the opposite way towards the growing voices. They seemed hostile now. When Chloe reached the other side she seemed a bit astonished by the sight that beheld her. There were survivors. Most were from Citrine, but some looked like possible sent help? However what caught her eye was the Nix that seemed like he was being challenged by some of the survivors. Every inch of her body begged to turn around now while her identity was still unknown and just come out when this was all done and over with. Chloe as no leader and could not take charge of this possible fight, but her mind overpowered her body. The Nix were an evil, vile race, but still it seemed like a conflict would be the wrong thing to do. Everyone was too weak to fight him at this stage and Nix's were powerful. What made Chloe speak wasn't at all to protect the Nix, since she really couldn't believe that he was innocent, but rather for the two that looked like they were going to strangle him. It's also not that she doubted their abilities, but she knew at this state they were no match, so she shouted the only thing she could as she stepped forward looking at the male and female.

            "Stop!"
