Her hair is sort of a purple, ultra violet color. It is her natural hair color. Strange ain't it? It's a mostly thin straight but sometimes curls out at the ends from it's strange longness. She's been wanting to cut it for awhile, but she never had the guts to or the heart; she likes it too much to destroy it. The length of her hair reaches down all the way to her back knees. She's quite proud that it hasn't been cut for a couple of years. Her skin complexion is a pale color, but not albino. She was only in Canda, with a few visits to France. Her eyes are a sort of light red, sometimes it looks like a dark red depending on the light being shinned on her. She has a sort of petite nose and thin lips, sometimes they stretch out and flatten when she is angry. That is rare though and only happens with her books. Normally it's in a small shape which reveals that she is confused about something in the social world. Her third phase is when her lips are scrunched together and puffed out, and that means she spies a man that will hopefull notice her. On her face you will notice she has an eye problem and wears glasses. As for contacts she only wears them when she's on a date, and that doesn't happen often. So it's mostly glasses. As for make-up, she feels it a no-no and goes with her natural looks. Not to say that she wouldn't put on just a tad if she was on date, but again it doesn't happen often. ♥ [Torso] Well to begin with she has an average size neck. It isn't normaly covered in necklaces but sometimes she'll put on a choker. Other than that it stays bare. During the winter she has a certain style of wearing turtle necks, but comfy ones. Not the knitted ones; God forbid those. Her favorite one is black, she is very prone to that color. There is another thing with her wardrobe you must know. Sometimes she goes off the deep edge and when she knows a man is in her library she will press a secret button under her desk that holds multitudes of skimmpy roleplay clothes and such. She has a sort of maid one, but not really, and a gothic one, and believe it or not, a Hawiian grass skirt and a coconut bra. That last one is when she is desperate. Her chest happens to be a C cup, which is on it's way to D. Although, this brings her no success. She has a pretty thin waist, but still managing to seem like an adult. Not everyone can stay young forever. Her arms are only slightly muscular, well she doesn have to climb up ladders all the time when she's too lazy to use her powers. Her standard height is 5'11" with a weight of 138lbs. It's mostly the stuff in her breasts, and her bones, and yet she is still trying to make 120. In her mind it's because that'll make men come to her. ♥ [Legs] This is what really gets Adaline motivated to put on clothes in the morning. She absolutely loves her legs, yeah they aren't baywatch perfect, but they are long and sleek. Thus noting all the skirts, dresses, and her secret stash of seductive clothing. Sadly her legs are only covered on just unbearable cold days, which doesn't happen often seeing as she grew up in Canada. She usually gets in a bitter mood when this happens. As for shoes, well like any girl she goes all out for high heels. She loves her many red colored high heels, and even her black and sort of purple colored ones too. Sometimes she will also wear stockings with her heels, and this is if, like always, a man is in her library. Publication | | ♥ [Quincy Justin Moreau] Quincy, or Justin as he liked to be called, is in fact dead. He passed away four years ago shortly after Adaline's almost wedding. He lived a good life with his wife as a school teacher himself. Never got to retire though, and the little fortune he made he left with his wife and daughter. ♥ [Valda Layla Moreau] Valda, or Layla as she likes to go by, just like her deceased husband, is a widow still living up in Canda. The death of her husband has finally eased so now she is seeing other men and such, but has yet to re-marry. Layla still keeps in contact with Adaline, even though her phone calls of either talking away about a some book she recently read or cry about another failed attempt at date. Sometimes she even pities her daughter because she hasn't been able to find a man, like her, with powers and such, since her first and last wedding screw up. The Chapters | | ♥ [I] There isn't much of a prologue to Adaline's life. Her parents met at a dance at the school that Quincy worked at. Valda was visiting her older sister who was volunteering at the school and she came as a guest. When Valda met Quincy her knees buckled under her and she litterally fell head over heels and collasped in his arms. After that it was date after date until the wedding day and then the honeymoon, and then the baby. Dear little Adaline. There is just a little bit more to the story though. Quincy revealed to Valda during their honeymoon that he was a mutant. She took it as a joke, until he levitated himself from the ground. You could image her screaming, or crying, or fainting, but what really happened was her snapping her fingers and said, "Well damn, I'm gonna have to get bigger heels." They wondered if Adaline would have some powers like Quincy as well, but nothing ever showed. Well one thing did, Valda's stomach size kept changing repeativiely. First it was big, then it would be small then grow again only to change, but nevertheless she still had the baby nine months later. A very small baby that is. To explain she came out a normal sized baby but suddenly turned as small as a mouse and then to the size of two watermeleons, she could change her size. ![]() ♥ [II] So Adaline grew up with powers like her father, and learned to channel it. Like everyone her problem was that her other power stayed asleep if you will. In Canda she attended one school, and that was a private school from kindergarden to high school. She kept her size powers in check, so there was never a problem. Well except for her hair and eyes, but since her father worked at the local university he was very muchknown and loved and so no one dared to pick on her. Until she was fourteen. The walk from the school to her home wasn't too far, and there wasn't a lot of streets to get lost in, but like most stories, one day she wanted to go to the park. In her previous years she would go with her father to the University's library and read consistantly. It was always a little stuffy in there, so that one day she decided that instead of reading the book she rented out there she would go the park. A yes, a park, where many many kids like to play and get along. Except not in all cases, because there is always some kid, usually a guy, who likes to allinate the outcast. Adaline is of course the main character of this story so naturally she is the one who is picked on. The setting is a cold day, like every other day, yet she is wearing a skirt to her knees, with a rain jacket on, because of the snow. She's really quite cozy sitting on the titter-totter that refuses to move, seeing as she was alone on it. Not that she noticed at all seeing as she was so absorbed in her book called A Connecicut Yankee in King Athur's Court. She was so busy laughing at the comedy that was The Boss, or Hank, that like most ditzy people did not see the boys advancing the titter-totter. The shadow over her book caused her to look up. By the crest that was on their jackets, she was able to determine that they went to her school, because it matched the symbol on her rain jacket. Make friends, she thought, and so she quickly got up and gave them a greeting. These boys were a little older though, sixteen maybe? Not very nice either, seeing as soon as she spoke one coughed out freak. Adaline, may have been ditzy but she wasn't stupid. She ran before a brawl started; she did not work so hard containing her powers so that some boys would blow her family's secret. There wasn't a place she could hide though, and being smart she ran to the university. The boys were fast though and they followed. Why? She kept wondering as she snuck through the kitchen. Why did they want her? What did they want to rape her or something? Flattering, but no. Kill her? No. Abuse her? That was the only thought she could think of. Just push her around a bit, but not kill her obviously. They were at a fricking a playground, in the afternoon. Nobody drinks in that type of setting. Her thinking drove her to a dead end; to the vents it was. She was just tall enough to reach and pushed herself in the vents. Not at all as cool as you see in the movies. There spider webs, which stuck to her face and hair, and it was cramped, and extremely hot. Beads of sweat were falling from her forehead because of it. Plus, it's not all fully lighted so half the time she bumped her head on corners. Luckily she made it to the library, her safe haven. She pushed open the vent quietly and painfully fell to the ground. Her beautiful legs were now bruised but she was safe. Might as well read right? So that's what she did for a good hour and half, till someone noisly entered the library. Adaline peaked out of the side to spot one of the guys from earlier in there. Great, she was trapped in the empty, dead end corridor of books. It would only be a matter of time. Maybe he wouldn't come this way, she thought. She just had to be extremely quiet, so she pressed her body to the wall and held her breath. She could hear him drawing closer like those horror movies, and like most horror movies the boy was too lazy to search the whole way. She was free, oh wait no. Of course, that little itch in her throat that happens in all books and movies came to her, and she had to cough. There, she was done. The boy came weilding around till he faced her, no movements came from either of them, until more voices came. So fricking typical. Then they advanced towards her, and she cringed against the wall shutting her eyes, getting ready to scream. They were the ones who ended up screaming though, she opened her eyes to finds books, upon books, around her levitating off the ground and knocking the boys around. Surely it was her father, but alas it was not, because as soon as they left the books fell and her knees buckled her to the ground. She just found her next power. ♥ [III] For the rest of her teen years she was able to carry on living in Canada and not have to move. When the boys tried to tell everyone in town about Adaline, naturally everyone thought they were crazy. It was also helpful for Adaline because she was able to find her other power and harness it with her father. Her levitation powers worked differently though. Unlike her father, she is unable to lift her own body or the bodies of others, just things. A tree for example. Adaline started to wear glasses during the age she lifted a tree. She was seventeen at the time, and the glasses seemed like a permanet thing. That's what happens when you read excessivley. She lived pretty normally, well as normally as a mutant gets, until nineteen. Then at the same college her father worked at she met Ross Levon Surget. They met in, of course, a lirbary, the very same library were Adaline found her second dormet power. Picture a girl sitting down in a chair quietly with mid length violet hair tied up in a pony tail, with glasses, and a dark green long-sleeves shirt, with a pink plaid skirt. Very nerdy. She stands up and just like the books she gets up to throw away her pencil shavings and she crashes into what seemed to her like a giant stack of books with legs. Ross really did have that many books and the reason being was that he just transfered in from the northern part of the U.S. and wanted to catch up with all the work. Adaline to say the least was very embarrassed that she crashed into him and tried to help him with all his books, even though her elbow had a rug burn. When they finally looked each other in the face she felt her face fluster. He was absolutely beautiful. Nice smooth brown hair, although cut a little messy, but styled to the left. His eyes were light brown with just a very tiny hint of green. His eyes quickly noticed Adaline's elbow rug burn and offered to take her to the nurse. They stayed friends for three months and he finally had the nerve to ask her out. Eight months later they were getting marries. No one could possibly know how estatic Adaline was about this. Never before has she had a guy in her life until Ross and now she was getting married. Now when you read a book there is always a climax and then a resolve. This was Adaline's peak, her marriage and the deaths that followed. Ross decided to go camping as a bachelor party, but something went wrong, like it always does. An avalanche came down and took the whole cabin with it, and Ross and his buddies. Adaline waited at the alter for what seemed like hours and assumed what most assumed. Ross had left her, and since no one found the body, no one could say otherwise. Adaline's almost happily ever after never came. ♥ [IV] Adaline was morebaly depressed at the disappearnace of her finace, but she had worse matters to attend to. Her father was ill, the deathly kind of ill. He was dieing slowly and of course there was a very big grief moment for Adaline. Two months after the failed wedding he died, and Adaline could not take the pain alone. She tried very hard to meet a man that would love her, but all the dates would end after the first date. It was her looks that they found unnormal, and slowly Adaline's personality started to change drastically. She went from quiet to more outgoing in the sense she was always trying to get a guy's attention and her perosnality could be described as a desperate house wife personality. This continued on for three years until she was twenty three. Then she decided it was time to get out of Canada and find a job elsewhere, met new people, well men. So she packed her bags and eventually found a job at Mythica as a librarian. This is her second year at the school. It seemed fitting for her, since it was for students with powers, and she wasn't good at anything else but with books. ♥ [Epilogue] Adaline's personality is one that does in fact need to be described. When she was younger she was the quiet bookworm. It does go a bit deeper than that though, but only with her family. Mainly her father since he was her teacher in the art of controlling her powers. She was happy and made smart remarks, but those evaporated when her father died. The only factor that held was her love for books. It only grew stronger after the incident when she was fourteen. She gets very protective when it comes to her books, and sort of snaps when a books is returned abused. Normally she will just yell a lot and force her body to get larger and wind up levitating sharp pencils at the kid who dares disrespects her dear novels. Now what's new is that she defiantly has this whole flirtacious personality going on, except with a desperate twist. She literally would go into a desperate state of mind just to get a guy to notice her and go on a date with her. Other than those two drastic personalities she has a calmer side when she is around staff and students who aren't rude to her books. She sits and reads; such a typical librarian. Adaline could spend hours reading romance novels and never notice the time passing by her. Index | | ♥ [Size Shifiting] The name pretty much explains it, but let's go a little further. Adaline can change her size, not her appearance. Her power deals with her height, it has no connection with her appearance, such as making her head bigger, or any other bodily part bigger; she's tried. All her body pieces stay in equal portion. She's tried her size and her smallest is the size of small ant. Her biggest size is oh... probably 75 yards high. She tested that out in a secluded place in France; it was during a family vacation. ♥ [Levitation] In her history this is explained a little, but it will be elborated here too. She has the ability to levitate objects, any objects. Humans included, the only problem is herself. She lacks the ability to levitate herself; she even tried shrinking herself and then doing it, but it still doesn't work. Obviously the lighter weight the object is the easier. When it comes to people though it's just slightly harder, but she's had years to perfect it so it doesn't strain her as much. Adaline can also lift up to four people in the air, but her biggest challenge is lifting up an elephant. A two hander of course, but it is possible. ~ fire, air, water, and r o c k New Release | | ♥ Books :: Romance novels especially ♥ Men :: Her personality expresses this fully ♥ Snow :: It's pure and peaceful ♥ Coffee :: It fits the Librarian profile ♥ Pine Trees :: The smell is comforting ♥ Skirts :: It's a female thing ♥ Ice cream :: Who doesn't love this?
