The Alarm clock blazed loudly as a brown haired boy beneath the covers rolled over and smacked the alarm clock which short-circuited and broke. The boy looked at the alarm clock from beneath the covers and groaned. "Not again... that's the third one this week." he groaned as he rolled out of bed and onto the floor into a somewhat push-up position his grey covers falling away from him as he did. Derrick lifted himself off the ground and yawned. Derrick was not a morning person, maybe that was why he kept breaking his alarm clock because he wasn't focused enough to control his powers. A sleepy Derrick was a dangerous Derrick, because he wasn't focused and didn't have control over his ablities.
Derrick yawned as he headed over to his dresser and picked out a simple dark blue t-shirt and some blue jeans to wear. He slowly put them on and headed to his closet to grab an old jean jacket. He was glad that he was already packed for school and only had to grab his things and a few things for the bus ride to the school. He wasn't one of those students who could fly to Sky high. He had to take the school bus like everyone else.
Derrick headed down stairs to find his dad a slightly shorter grayish brown haired man, sitting at the table reading the newspaper and his little brother, a smallish eleven year old boy who looked a lot like their mother with his short blonde hair and blue eyes sitting there eating cereal."DJ, do you have to go back to Sky high this year?" Derrick's little brother, Thomas asked. Thomas was the only one in the family that didn't have powers and unless he got them would be going to normal school all his life. His mom, was at the stove making other breakfast. "Yes, Thomas, he has to go to school just like you do now both of you hurry up or you'll miss the bus and be late for school." his mother said to the two brothers. Derrick yawned. "I'm going..." he muttered as he grabbed the piece of toast that had just popped up from the toaster. He juggled it around his his hands waking him up a bit from it being so hot and said good bye to his little brother, mom and dad, before grabbing his things and hurrying out the door.
Derrick got to the bus just in time and climbed aboard. He had his grey luggage with his initials embroidered in gold on them stowed with everyone else below before climbing aboard. He found a single seat near the center at the window and stared out the window as they headed off to Sky High. The ride wasn't anything new but he always loved looking out the window as they flu through the sky. He ignored everyone else around him on the bus, especially the new freshman chattering away.
When the bus got there he quickly got off the bus pushing his way though the crowd of freshmen even if that meant giving some of them a small but harmless shock to get them to move. Like always he had the attendants take his bags up to his room for him. As he planned on unpacking later after he got his class schedule.
Shoving his hands into the pockets of his jacket, he headed towards the registration area for his class schedule. He noticed some familiar faces that he hadn't gotten along with too well last year and some that he didn't recognize. Derrick hated crowds; it was too tempting to use his powers to clear a path so he could get his schedule and get out of there, but he didn't want to use his powers that freely and if someone reacted aggressively towards him it wouldn't be pretty because he knew that if things got out of hand he would end up in detention and didn't feel like going to detention on the first day back.
Derrick noticed a familiar blonde haired boy walk over to the student body president, Heather. Everyone knew of her weather it was good or bad. For him he hadn't decided on if he liked her or not yet. Derrick glared at the blonde haired boy talking to her. "Collin..." he thought as he he glared. Derrick hated him. It was his fault for the way people looked at him now. He was getting better and people were getting slightly less scared of him and not treating him as much of an outcast, but then that brat had to go and spread a rumor about how he shocked someone one time and put them in the hospital, and ruin everything. He and Collin weren't exactly on the best terms and Derrick didn't trust Collin, not one bit.
Derrick sighed as he got closer to the registration area and closer to Collin, his head was low, he didn't even want to look at him he was still pissed off at Collin and wanted to avoid him as much as he possibly could. He sighed he just wanted to get this over with.
As he stood waiting for his turn he wondered what his roommate would be like. "Not that it really matters they'll probably have already heard of my reputation and try and stay as far away from me as possible anyways...?" he thought with a sigh. "I hope I get Infiltration this year." He thought to himself.

Dean ✶ Alec ✶ McDowell

Mr.
Bad ✭ Boy
The alarm clock blazed and the sun slipped though the curtains shining into the sleeping Dean's eyes. The brown haired boy opened his blue eye and carefully turned off the alarm clock that was blazing on the bedside table trying not to disturb his three sleeping dogs that lay on his bed around him. His two big dogs, Talin and Rocky, lay one at his feet and one beside him while his little white stuffed animal of a dog, Artemis, lay asleep on the other pillow. As he moved slightly he disturbed Rocky who lay at his feet who in turn disturbed Talin and soon he had his two big dogs licking his face. "Hey, stop it. Okay, I'm getting up." he muttered as his dogs licked him, he knocked the other pillow now awakening Artemis who yipped and tried to join in on the fun.
Dean crawled out from under the covers of his bed placing his bare feet on the cold hard wooden floors. With another yawn he lifted himself from the bed, grabbed his cell phone off the dresser. He pulled on a pair of blue jeans and headed out of his room walking slowly down the halls as he knew that his father was probably passed out in his room and didn't want to disturb him. Dean knew his father was probably still pissed at him from having to bail him out of jail over the weekend. He remembered what his father had told him when they were walking out of the station. "You're an adult now. So start acting like it. You're eighteen so start being responsible for your actions." his father had said and he remembered thinking about telling his father to start acting like one too but he knew it was in his best interest to keep his mouth shut. His dogs followed him as he walked.
Scratching the back of his head he headed down stairs to the kitchen and let the dogs out the back door as he started to make coffee. Dean hated mornings. He hated getting up so early to go to school, even though half of the time he didn't end up going to classes. As he waited for his coffee to brew he texted his best friend, Hayley.
He finished up the text and grabbed the dogs bowls to feed them their breakfast and set the bowls out for the dogs to eat. He set his phone on the kitchen counter and waited for a reply as he waited for his coffee. Dean yawned, it had been a rough week for him with the whole learning about his new power and all. He head over to the coat rack and shuffled though his pockets to find his nearly empty box of cigarettes and his nearly empty lighter. He grabbed them and headed for the back door to take a quick smoke break outside with his dogs. He leaned against the side of the house on the back porch as he smoked and sighed looking up at the sky.

Gabriel Thomas

Gabriel awoke from his bed in his hotel room stretching his arms high above his head. He hopped to his feet from his bed and walked over to the window. Pulling back the curtain he smiled as he looked at the glowing red sky. It felt so much like home. Gabriel didn't waste too much time getting dressed in a loose light shirt and shorts. He grabbed a snack out of his backpack for he was a bit hungry from sleeping all day. He combed out his hair and put on his sandals grabbing his wallet on his way out. He planned to do some shopping for some more clothes before heading down to the beach to relax for the night.
Gabriel had not had the chance to really go shopping or look around at all since he got here yesterday as he had jet-lag and was exhausted from his morning flight from Egypt. Although he had arrived here later in the evening. Gabriel was not used to the shops closing so early here and was a little disappointed to find hardly clothing stores open this late. Gabriel sighed as he ran his hand through his black hair and decided to head down to the beach knowing that that was probably one of the only public places that would be open all night.
As he walked down to the beach and across the sand he felt the cooled sand beneath his feet and was reminded of home and made a mental note to himself to call home when he got back to the hotel.
He wasn't like everyone else who preferred bars and restaurants at this hour and he was no romantic either. It just felt more like home at the beach but it also felt a lot colder.
Gabriel shivered slightly as a small breeze went by him he wasn't used to it being chilly at night.
⚡ Dean James McCoy ⚡

- Dean sighed as he stepped out of the car and pulled his brown coat closer to him. Beneath his coat his shirt was untucked and his pants were wrinkled but he didn't care, he never really did care too much for the uniform. He was used to the the cold somewhat but that didn't stop him from wearin his coat and gloves. He grabbed his bags and waited for the car to drive off before grabbing a cigerette and his lighter from his pockets and lighting up. He shoved the lighter back into his pocket and hoisted his bag over his shoulder as he headed up to the school.
Dean headed towards the dorms with a sigh. He had heard that the headmaster had retired this year and they had a new headmaster this year, that wouldn't do much for his progress. Dean sighed he really didn't want to be repeating the eleventh grade. He failed the first time around what made the staff think that he'd pass this time. Unfortunely it wasn't as if he could drop out of school, he'd have no place to go if he did that. His parents were already pissed at him for having failed last year and told him that if he dropped out for him not to ever come back to the house.
Dean finished up his cigerette upon approaching the student dorms and put it out in the snow next to the door before heading inside. Dean had decided to take his chances with double dorms this year because he was used to sharing a room with another guy so it didn't bother him, in fact he wasn't too sure what to do with an empty room all to himself. He walked down the hallway looking double room number four and found it. He turned the handle to see if it was open. It wasn't so he pulled out his key and unlocked it and opened the door. He left the door open as he walked inside. The room was empty, so Dean sighed and picked one of the beds. He set his stuff on the bed and fell back onto the bed. He was exausted it had been a long trip from Colorado."Another year..." he sighed.

✎ Christopher David Hunt ✎
The Teacher with a Secret
Chris nodded when the nurse asked if he was Christopher Hunt. Chris's hand went limp as he let go of Billie's when he heard the news. "No..." he whispered tears welling up in his eyes slightly. "It can't be. He can't be dead" Chris thought. Chris wiped away a tear stopping it from falling down his face. "What room is he in..." he asked his sister. When she told him he nodded and turned to Billie. "Go check on Jess. I want to be alone with my father for a while." Chris said wiping back tears with his arm.
He was trying to be strong but it wasn't working very well. He got the room number from his sister and headed down the hallway alone to the room. He found his mom in the room and she was crying next to the bed where his father's body lay. He hugged his mom and asked if he could spend some time alone with dad. His mother nodded and left the room. Chris closed the door and sat down in the chair next to his father.
"Hey Dad. I know you're gone but I still wanted to tell you something. I've been keeping it a secret from everyone for a while now but I have to tell you." Chris said his voice cracking slightly from crying. "I know what you would have said to me but I'm telling you now. I'm going to be a father. Nobody know about it because the mother is a student of mine. I know. I know it was wrong. You even knew her. Remember Little Billie Jean Dimera. Well, she's not little anymore, she's gorgeous and she's the one. I know we crossed the line but we're trying to figure out what to do. I promise, Dad. I promise I'll help raise that kid even if people don't know that I'm the father. I love you." After finishing his monologue he kissed his father's cold cheek and headed out of the room.
His face was stained with tears as he walked down the hallway. His life as just getting worse and worse. First he couldn't be with the woman he loved and now his father died. He didn't feel like talking to anyone right now. He didn't feel like checking on Jess either. He knew that Jess was okay. Chris planned on going back to his mom's house later and staying there while they arranged funeral plans. He didn't want to think about them but they had to be done and seeing as he was the man of the household now he had to be strong even if he didn't want to.

☆ Derrick James Hunter ★
Derrick groaned as he rolled over in his bed. He had actually gotten some sleep the night before and for once it felt good. He really didn't want to get out of bed but knew that he had to. Derrick yawned as he rolled onto the floor taking his blankets with him. He throw on a pair of jeans and a loose fitting blue tee shirt. He made sure that his shark's took pendent was tucked beneath his shirt and out of sight. He never took that necklace off it had been a present from his twin brother, Kevin on their fifth birthday. It had been quite funny that Derrick had gotten the exact same thing for his brother. They had always been that close.
He was quite skinny considering that he didn't eat as much as he should. He noticed that his roommate was already gone. He knew that his roommate didn't usually sleep and Derrick often stayed up and hung out with him sometimes. As he got ready he wondered if he'd get any mail from his brothers or parents. They'd send him mail every once in a while.
Derrick threw a few coins in his pockets. He had been saving them because although he tried he wasn't always on good behavior. Derrick scratched his messy hair as he pulled on his shoes. He wasn't much of a morning person. He yawned as he left his room and walked down the hallway. He wondered what was for breakfast when he heard the announcements for the day. "Wonder which I want. Pancakes or Waffles?" he contemplated. He actually felt like eating today. He heard a scream and sighed. "Another one's acting up again..." he thought to himself.
At the moment he was feeling fine but he never knew when his bipolar symptoms would act up. He could do without swimming later today. He had always enjoyed swimming when he was younger though. Well, back when he was little but that was before his brother drown. Ever since then he'd only put his feet in the water or never went into the water past his waist. He had blamed himself for Kevin's drowning. If only Derrick had stopped him from going out too far. His brother, Kevin, had been the more daring of the two of them when they were younger. He had showed so much promise. But that was all in the past now.
Derrick decided to head down to the game room to kill some time. There weren't that many people there. He noticed his room mate was over watching something. It looked like some kind of cartoon from the distance. He decided to head over to him and the girl that was with him and say hi.
